From beginning to end, I was very pleased with Dial A Sewer. Initially I spoke with the boss?, explained my issue, and they came the next day. The technician, Courtney, was timely, courteous and efficient. He listened to my concerns and addressed them. I was very pleased with this experience and would use Dial A Sewer again, particularly the tech Courtney.

It has been over a week since I submitted the claim. We are in Florida, not Alaska. Who knows how much longer I will need to wait to fix the problem. This is not acceptable and I am very disappointed. I have several properties that are covered by Choice Home Warranty and will think twice before next renewal.

A no hassle repair job, the repair guy was pleasant and competent. Was on time and went that extra mile to make sure the job was done well. The help from the call centre was equally as good as the Master Plumbing Co.

Choice Warranty did not give up finding a technician to help with our needs. The technician was on time and did not mind answering all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable. We are very happy with his work ethics. I had to put a three star for coverage because of Choice Warranty not covering refrigerant and still does not state in my warranty that it does or doesn't. Still the experience was not bad at all.

The technician identified the issue and had a solution within five to six minutes. He and his assistant were very professional and given the chance, I would refer him to others. He will be coming back to complete the job once the part I need comes in.

Updated on 06/18/2020: No one answers the phone. I have been on hold since last Friday for over two hours. The plumber damaged my basement by cutting the cold water in the hot water heater and refuses to be accountable. I have made complaints to the BBB and MD consumer reg. Affairs. I am still without the appliance and we have no water in my house! This is bad business and I’m suing your company.
Original review: Been on hold over two hours June 12 - present. I hit option 1 on my keypad to get a real person (2 was the option I needed) to help me. The man switched me over to only hand me on hold for two hours. My basement flooded after the plumber sent from you turn the water back on on the hot water heater. He assured me the water wouldn’t back back up and flood, but my basement flooded terribly. I’m contacting my attorney this morning to start litigation and to help me get a live person on the phone! Worse customer service ever! Call me!!!!

My a/c was broken and they responded right away!! I could not be happier! I went online started a claim and received a phone call in less than an hour. This is a great warranty company. The repair shop called and said they would be here in the morning to fix it.

Miles ** responded to my call with accuracy and specifics regarding our perusing a new home warranty for our Maryland home and after speaking to him for a while we discovered that it was price effective to insure BOTH homes. He answered all of our questions and gave us the information we needed to make an educated decision to move forward and commit to the plan.

Refrigerator door repair. Martin's Appliance service was out on time as indicated. Very helpful and professional technician. We could not be happier. I don't know what I ever would do without Choice Home Warranty service. The service call took about 15 to 20 minutes. It was a worthwhile experience for my wife and for me.

REPAIR GARAGE DOOR. We got an estimate for the repair from the local service company. The Garage Door Company replaced the needed parts and is now working fine. The service was prompt and did not have to wait for more than 2 days for it to complete. Thanks for the fine service.

Air handler quit working. Placed claim and technician came out and determined that circuit board was damaged. He called in the report and I heard the Choice employee say ok, so it needs a circuit board and the technician stated in his opinion it need an air handler replacement. At that point the choice employee stated he would be in touch. I then received an email stating that my claim was denied due to "It has been determined the air conditioner has a damaged air handler that has caught fire. Under normal wear and tear conditions this failure takes time to occur and cannot develop within commencement of the policy." That is not he case at all that was described by the technician.
My case was out of the normal but not some long pre existing condition. It was escalated to a dedicated case manager Ms. Melony **. After talking with her she gave the company policy by reading the policy guidelines. She stated she would call me back and never did. When I finally sent an email, I did receive a call back, then she wouldn't talk to me and hung up on me. Could not tell me when or who would call me back. Felt uncomfortable talking to me was her response.

AC repair. Serviceman was very polite, professional and timely. We would recommend him highly. We did not have to wait on him and had the ability to change the appt if necessary. Fortunately the weather was not brutally hot so waiting over the weekend was not an issue.

After 5 days I was told I needed to fill out paperwork saying I accept . I was never instructed of this as it is 90 degrees in my house has been for over a week. If I don’t receive repairs by Friday all 12 of our contracts will be moved when time is up towards end of year. We did 11 or 12 contracts in 2017 for 3 years.

We had two issues one was a leak from one of the bathroom sinks and the other from the shower spout. An electrician was dispatched quickly and he was able to address both issues that same day he came. The technician were experienced, professional and friendly.

Our stove stopped working suddenly. We contacted Choice Home Warranty and less than 24 hours they had scheduled a repairman to come. The stove was repaired the same day. Thank you Metro Appliance Repair and Choice Home Warranty for the Excellent Service provided.

Electrical, Plumbing, and Garage door opener. I was very disappointed with the very first CHW service when an electrician came to my home. However, I have since had plumbing and garage repairs. I am very impressed with the professionalism, care, and courtesy both companies extend to us. I am likewise impressed with CHW being true to it commitment to honor and service our claims.

I recently bought this home warranty and my AC intermittently started blowing hot air even in cool mode. I opened a claim and the technician came in after 3 days to check. He cleaned the outer condenser coil by spraying water from my garden hose. He inspected the inside evaporator coil and said it needs to be cleaned and is not covered by warranty. He said HE WILL NOT CLEAN IT as it might stop working altogether as it is a very old unit. I asked him, "If it's so weak, why don't you replace it?" He left that day saying he will inform warranty company about this. Now warranty company tells me that I did not maintain/clean the coil or neither they would replace it.
My concern is, if the technician is licensed, insured he must be able to clean it. (For extra charge). If it's not cleanable/repairable it needs to be replaced at least. He just escaped without touching/fixing it. Choice warranty sends you cheap, inexperienced technicians. Also remember they have a 1500$ limit per year for hvac. overall this warranty is a joke. You get what you paid for.

AC repairs. My compressor in my unit went out. You sent out a technician of YOUR choice and his evaluation was normal wear and tear which he reported to you - now you're saying it’s not covered because of NOT normal wear and tear when YOUR technician clearly stated that was the case. I spoke with him personally today and he can’t understand why you would change his recommendation when he clearly wrote in his report to you stating it was due to normal usage - hope this can be rectified without further actions.

After waiting a few days, a plumber was assigned to the pump job. I tried contacting the plumber on several occasions. I had to leave voice mails. did get a call back and asked if could change appointment date due to the fact I would be out of town on the day He and Choice warranty set up appt. He said he would call me back with a new date and time. I never heard back from him. Called him again, left another voicemail. Hired a pool tech to take care of this job as we are closing on this property and this was needing fixed before can close. Called Choice to see about reimbursement. They said not allowed due to tech being assigned. Never mind the fact that I couldn't ever reach the tech. I am disappointed. I have two homes both with warranties on them and have referred several people to Choice. I will definitely rethink before I refer anyone else.

Hot Water Heater Leaking. First time I called for a warranty claim. Waiting to see how fast or how long it will take to settle the claim. Do not believe that a hot water tank can be fixed. I think it will have to be replaced.

Two week ago my A/C not working and I’m make a claim. Two day later the technician come to check, the one unit he added freeze on and the second one completed down and he say compression went out and he leave. Today is over two weeks my A/C still not working and very hot over here. I need is fix, please.

Haven't used my policy yet, but the woman I spoke with was very helpful in explaining the policy to me, was very nice and friendly. I would like to say I hope we don't have to use this policy, but that isn't going to happen. Very pleased with this policy and I think this will be much, much better than the one we just got out of.

This survey is for you, CHW, not the technician. Tech was great and submitted his report that this refrigerator is beyond repair and I have been waiting over 2 weeks so far to get this remedy. I am still waiting on you as I lose all my food! You also don’t answer your phones and use the excuse of COVID-19. Real businesses have employees work from home and take care of customers. The tech sent his report to you and I still have not heard from you to replace my refrigerator! Will not be recommending CHW to anyone.

I must say. Once I got someone knowledgeable on the phone. My experience completely turned around. It turns out it was just a greedy contractor not CHW that was the problem. I appreciate that they made this work. Trying to get information via chat was not working at all. Thanks Maurice!!!

We contacted Choice Home Warranty (CHW) yesterday 6/14 to let them know our hot water heater was not working. They gave us a claim number and let us know they would email us once they found a repair person. We let them know that it was an emergency since we have an invalid, elderly person in the home who requires constant medical care. They then sent us a link to opt for the reimbursement option because of delays due to COVID. When we attempted to use the link an hour later, it told us we were ineligible for reimbursement. When I contacted CHW, they stated that a contractor accepted our job and would be out to evaluate the problem on June 24!!!! I contacted them again to let them know that was unacceptable and they refused to provide me with the reimbursement option again.

Leak in the children's bathroom. Plumber checked and showed it's due tile grout. Unfortunately this is not covered. Need to find someone who can fix the problem. how will we know if the leak is due to tile grout. I didn't know there is a difference between the type of grout.

Replace broken faucet. The Butler did a fantastic job! Bring them back anytime! Sean was terrific! He told us what he needed. His boss confirmed it. Then he did it. Couldn't be more pleased. My resident air condition unit stop working. I went online. Placed my claim. Within a couple of hours Choice responded with a claim number. The same day Choice Customer Service emailed me with an assigned repair company, for next day service and time of arrival. The technician arrived on time; he was very polite and his action appeared to have solved the problem.

Air conditioner. Asking for a rating before any work has been performed is ridiculous! We asked over 4 days ago for an appointment and that has not even been scheduled yet. We were given the option to pay out of pocket for the service with reimbursement within 39 days- well that is not happening! We appreciate an appointment within a day or two otherwise may have to consider canceling our policy.

Air condition. You pay for a services that does not work. You guys are good to ask for payments but when it's time to cover for repairs, you find paragraphs and line numbers never mention at the time of purchased. Not honest, don't care, it's a fake. It's not the first time but for me it's the last one. You lose me and trust me won't recommend to anyone.

Very disappointed as this is my first experience with using my warranty. I have a GE 36 inch stainless microwave to be replaced. $169.99 will allow me to purchase 1/2 a microwave. National average is **. Clearly it accounts for any size and not comparable. And yeah I know what the agreement says. So my mistake in purchasing your warranty service.

Ice Maker not working. The service tech kept us informed about his arrival time. This was good because we had an opportunity to lock the dog up which is always a fun event. He knew exactly what was wrong with the ice maker and had the part available to fix the ice maker on the first visit. Very professional and provided advice on how to remedy the problem if it occurs again.

Washing machine repair. Call in for service repair and received contractor's information. After getting in touch with him to change appointment time from Friday to Saturday I waited. No show so I called and was told to give him more time, still a no show. Called, but his mailbox was full, so I will be calling Choice Home today.

1 tech came from Nashville, looked at my unit, took my check and I never heard from him again despite me texting and calling. 2 weeks later a 2nd tech came, noticed another tech had been here cause he left some caps/covers off. But he could not continue because CHW informed him my property was not on the contract. This is the same property, only the number changed due to added residential structures on my street. My payment info has this address. I edited my profile over a month ago and it did not change. Now I'm having to wait for case worker. Google both addresses and the same property will come up. I am so disappointed. 5yr PAYING FAITHFULLY.

I entered the service request online. CHW had me scheduled in 2 days. Denny's Heating and AC sent me a time frame of when he would be arriving. He was here on time at the predetermined time we agreed on. It took him appx 30 minutes to fix the problem with my AC unit. This is the second time Denny has been to my residence for AC problems on 2 different units. He has always been polite, courteous and professional. He explains to me what he is doing and why and always gets it fixed right the first time. I would recommend CHW and Denny's AC to anyone!

I just joined Choice Home Warranty this past week and paid for the $46.25 a month plan that cover most things. I have since been charged 10 times for 46.25 and when I called customer service they advised that I had 7 accounts. This should not happen. I was charged for 3 accounts on 6/12, 3 accounts on 6/13 and 4 accounts on 6/14. I have talked to customer service about this and they advised that the accounts could not be cancelled until Monday 6/15/2020 when the business office is open.
This first person that I talked to said should could not help me at all. The second guy sounded like he had been asleep all day and had to call me back. Finally the last guy I talked to helped me but could not cancel the account. I want to keep my account but not 7. I have been charged over $460 dollars when it should have only been $46.25. This is unacceptable and I would like my money back as ASAP.

We purchased a five year plan with CHW. Our $899 dishwasher went out, only 4 years old. They offered a buyout of $250. New dishwasher was on sale for $699.99, installation was $177. They finally paid us $350 after we refused their offer. They positively do not repair or replace! I would be way ahead if I would of put the money I paid them aside and replaced my own appliance. They advertise repair or replace, false asvertisement!! Never again.

Choice has been a fantastic home warranty company so far. We have made approximately 5 claims & had all but 1 repair approved. Our garbage disposal & garage door opener were replaced with brand new ones. Our heater was fixed without issue and now, our a/c has also been repaired. The company, Snow Frost, did an awesome job. Choice would absolutely have a 5 star review if not for 2 things. No. 1 - our monthly fee & service call cost were raised without us being given a chance to renew for another year long commitment.
The value for Choice is there but an opportunity to renew the contract would have been nice. No. 2 - the length of time to wait for appointments set by Choice is not ideal. We live in Vegas, where temps are over 100. Choice set the a/c repair appt over a week out which would have been unbearable. Fortunately they do provide the name & number of the contractor so you are able to contact them yourself about the appt. Luckily this time, Snow Frost was able to get us in the same day. That was not the case when our heater went out & the appt was several days out but luckily, temps here in the winter aren't terribly low. All in all, Choice has been a life saver & worth even the increased price. I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for a home warranty.

Technician arrived right on time, assessed the situation with the air and repaired it in less than an hour. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. He took all the precautions dictated by the CDC and even protected his shoes to keep my floors clean.

Mr ** was very nice and not pushy at all about the insurance. He was very understanding when I said that I couldn't afford the options that he was explaining to me. He tried though. He explained parts of the insurance to me that I did not understand and he did not make me feel like my questions was stupid. When he said that he understood my situations when I spoke about my money situation he seemed sincere.

My dissatisfaction was with CHW and lack of follow-up from my case manager after I challenged the fact my claim was not covered. It took me escalating with CHW to get a call from my case manager, and my case manager did not follow-up with me as he said he would.

On Saturday the 13th my AC unit quit working. I filed a claim and the soonest that one of their technicians can come is Wednesday. I live in East Texas and that is not going to happen, too hot and humid. The warranty company wants to send a company that is a hour away to fix my unit on Wednesday afternoon. Choice Home Warranty will not allow me to use the local AC company, that my service agreement is with, fix it today for $95 And reimburse me.
For some reason, due to COVID 19, they are not allowing you to use who you want. You have to use the technician they send out. I would be willing to work with them on almost anything but not the air conditioner in the middle of the summer. I’m just under a year into my first warranty. Last week I extended the warranty for six years and planned on being a long-time customer, but I will be getting money back. Saves me close to $2,000, I’m canceling. My gut feeling was correct. They talked everything up and answered all my questions ensuring they would have me covered.

Not getting hot water from tub faucet. Have been waiting for a plumber over three weeks. CHW has assigned plumbers but no one shows up until now and he had to order the part so problem still exist at this.

My Kenmore Elite refrigerator stopped working last Tuesday. I put in an online ticket tuesday evening around 5 PM central. Got a quick service appointment confirmation for that Saturday. Technician arrived at the specified window and fixed the issue (burnt condenser coil). Luckly tech was carrying the right part in van. Overall very happy with the experience. Repair took around 2 hrs. I recovered my one year fees for home warranty in just this one incident.

The technician who came to clear the clog was great. But he couldn't clear it through the kitchen plumbing so had to go down through the roof clean-out. Now Choice Home Warranty says they won't cover it because he had to go through the roof. They always come up with some excuse to avoid paying claims. My last plumbing issue involved water coming into our bedrooms and they couldn't send someone for two days and eventually cancelled that appointment. When I hired someone to come out, Choice Home Warranty wouldn't cover any of it because we had them do a higher level clean-out than the standard covered by the policy- but they wouldn't even pay the standard price.

In other words there are two claims for the same problem.
The next day Blue Diamond MEP service tech arrived and after inspecting our system, he too agreed system needed to be replaced because it's old and on borrowed time before it completely fails. The tech was on his cell talking to your claim folks to get approval for the work required. Now we're just sitting here at home trying to stay as comfortable as possible waiting for the pending decision on our claim. At this point, I can not submit an honest evaluation on Choice Home Warrant until we get the job completed. So for now we can only rate Choice as we see how we've been treated to this point. Leo with Agevac Heating and Cooling was very customer oriented as he was polite! He had to go up on a second storey roof and it was over 100 degrees outside. I called in to get someone to come and look at a leak that We had in my garage. When asked where the leak is coming from I thought it was from the air conditioner but I was not sure. The person I spoke to asked me questions and then decided that a plumber was needed. When I got the email that they weren't coming for two days I was not happy but when the guy came and said it was the air conditioner and I had to put in another call to get an A/C person in I was livid when they told me they couldn't get there for another three days. In the mean time I had water all over my garage. I do not think the service is good. Other friends who have other Home Warranty Companys get either that day or the next day service.

I put in claim for washer - Kenmore. I was automatically pleasantly surprised I was assigned sears home service. The technician came, assessed the part needed to be replaced - had it in the van and replaced it. In all honesty the part was $20, but I have no idea what to look for and googling didn’t help. Very grateful washer fixed. CHW is $50 month and has saved my AC, washer and stove. This warranty isn’t for everyone. You have to know the age of your appliances and know if this for you. Granted the fee of $85 per repair is a little steep wish it was $50 but for now I have found this warranty useful.

After calling you I received a text message repair would be June 12 the day I called between 1:00-5:00 from Sears!! I called the # they left with me and someone in the Phillippines told me the repairman had called several times -no answer so rescheduled to 4 days later. If they told the truth the # they called the message says"this # no longer in service" & hasn't been for 2 yrs, so why would they call several times and why did you give this to Sears whom we have not used in years and have no confidence in!! Very disappointed in this treatment!!!

I am not satisfied at all with the service I have received on these two orders. I paid up front for three years on this policy. I had to take a $400.00 buy out on a $800.00 washer that the company refused to repair. I am still waiting on an authorization for my sewer system to be repaired after the technician came out and gave the an estimate. No one has contacted us on what the next step is for the repair. I am seriously considering contacting the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau about this company. I feel like we have been duped.

Oh, WOW. I called my service order in about 10 am. Within 1 hr I had a service date/time for 2 days out. Was provided Service Co name and phone #. Home A/C would not come on. DEAD. Air today was called, they called me and we agreed on a time for service. The Service Rep b arrived, checked the whole system, found the problem as a failed start relay. Parts were with him and we were fixed. As a former manager of a large multinational firm, I recommend Choice Home Warranty.

Updated on 06/18/2020: Furnace quit. Control panel burned out. Tried calling Choice and after listening to advertisements for 20 minutes was finally told that no longer taking phone calls and go to the internet. I needed heat so called our local heat/air contractor and had it fixed. It has been over a week and not being very computer savvy getting nowhere. Not happy.
Original review: My furnace quit working last week. After calling the number given me at the time I enrolled in your service and getting about 10 minutes of advertisements I finally got a canned message that you were not taking phone calls and to go to your website. I am not very handy with computer, but finally got to the site and signed in only to be told the the policy number I gave was not right and they would send me the number via email.
After 2 days waiting I finally found that they had been in the scam folder so I resubmitted the form and it was refused again. I checked and I had used the right number so tried again and it finally went thru. I sent a run down of what had happened, telling them that I had got our local heat and air repairman to come and look at the furnace and found the control panel had burned out. I had him replace the panel as it was 33 degrees the next morning. I found another phone number in one of the forms and called it. After waiting about 2 hours I finally got to talk with someone I could hardly understand, then we got disconnected before anything was resolved. So far not a bit happy with the process.

Technician was able to get dishwasher running but "Not sure it will work long, call me if it breaks again." It did and Choice made good on the warranty. Choice only paid $260 toward a new dishwasher and the average low end cost is $450 so not a great warranty. However when you subtract the $75 out of pocket for a service call that didn't work.... Still better than coming out of pocket for the whole amount.

Had a leak in water line. It led to outside faucet. Until tech got here I thought the leak was outside. The repair company called it in but the claim was still denied. Had it not been fixed I would have had water damage. I think Choice is a Bait and Switch CO. Repair company was excellent!

We were scheduled for a plumber to come between 3:00 - 8:00; at 7:00 Choice Warranty leaves a voicemail that it has been reassigned to the next day. and with a different plumbing company. Not happy that we stayed home waiting most of the day.

The repairman George at Integrity Mechanical Solutions came to our house, looked at the water heater issue. He indicated we need a new water heater. He explained a date it would be replaced. He called later as he indicated to confirm that Choice Home Warranty approved the replacement. In the conversation, he indicated a time and date for the work to start and be completed. Later, I received a email indicating I would have to pay a flat rate of $400.00 for miscellaneous installation cost such as piping, exhaust flue for gas water heater, etc. I accepted the $400.00 charge. That was it.

Air conditioner. I submitted my request at 5:45am on June 12. Usually hear back in two hrs. Did not get a call so I called Choice cservice. Was told to check email. None received. I called a tech due to my 89 yr old mom living with me and our high temp was 99 degrees. The tech was fabulous but not under home warranty! When I checked the tracking info in my request at 10:30 pm it said you had no technicians. So my out of pocket of $310 is not covered by home warranty. In the past I have been happy with choice but this experience has me wondering about continuing after end of contract in December.

I was charged a $60 Service Charge for the Tech to tighten hot & cold water handles. Eventually the handles will wear out from forcing tightening. If a problem in the future should arise I'll be charged a $60 fee for the problem that arose in the past.

One switch operated both the ceiling fan in the loft and the light package on it, but the light did not work. Ishmael ** of Genesis Electrical Services arrived with an assistant and quickly tracked down the problem to the remodeling that the previous owner had done. He made the repair in no time flat, and obviously had the knowledge and skills necessary to solve any electrical question. We will be calling him for our own remodeling of the lighting in the dining room!

Noticed the ac wasn't getting cold all of a sudden about the time going to bed the other day. It would kick on and run, but only stay at 80 inside home. So the next day, we called in our warranty and scheduled a repair. Even with the Covid-19 issues, they came out the following day. It was fixed and continues to work great. Small repair, but rather have an expert come fix it.

I had 2 different issues in one week and the customer service I received was great! As soon as I filed the claim, I received confirmation and an appointment was scheduled very quickly. What is normally a very stressful situation (washing machine broken and freezer broken) was a lot less so because of their responsiveness. I would highly recommend.

I called last week to have my washer and dryer looked at due to we we're having problems. No one showed up. So it was reassigned to another contractor. A contractor came and looked at my dryer. I am still waiting for my washer to be repaired. The contractor was supposed to come on yesterday. I have not received a call and no one have shown up to repair it.

I entered a claim for my garage door opener some time ago and it has not been addressed yet. It prompts me to ask why do I have a home warranty service that does nothing? You kept sending me emails concerning if I wanted to do it myself but that would sort of negate the need for a home warranty.

This worked out real well. The AC guy came to do annual maintenance call but he said the condenser wouldn’t turn on. He was going to charge at least $80 to repair before he could service. Told him we had home warranty and he was already a contractor with Choice. We called them and they worked it all out right then and there while the guy Was at my house. Easy least. Been with Choice for a long time and very happy with them!

My claim was denied because the wearing down of ball bearings was not considered normal wear and tear! When the ball bearings wore down, the motor housing shifted causing it to stop working properly. What part of this is not normal wear and tear???

To keep this short and simple this process has been a huge disappointment. I am one month into getting our AC repaired And as of today it is still not fixed or working at all. I want my money back from the company I paid to repair it as well as the money back I paid to cover these type of broken appliances. The process has been anything but smooth. The repair company blames CHW for delays and CHW blames repair service. Either way I’m into this about $500 and still do not have an AC that works. This piece of equipment should have been replaced, but no, instead you insist on throwing bandaids on it. Also, the repair company continues to disappoint. It’s been continuous excuses.
Today I was told once again it’s fixed and yet again the temperature in my home continues to rise. The repairman said the filter is the wrong size and very dirty you need to get that replaced. It seems to me if this was a reputable company they would have cleaned it or replaced the filter. I mean, isn’t stuff like that just basic customer care? The experience has been a huge disappointment. I’ve had the policy for about 2 years and never had to use it.
Now I need to use it on something major like an AC in the middle of summer and instead of getting the issue resolved I get nothing but the run-around. It would have been easier to hire a reputable company to replace it. It would not have taken a month it would have been completed the first time correctly and I’d have a working AC. I am beyond frustrated at this point. Refund my money so I can put it towards an AC from the company I choose who is reputable and knows what customer care looks like and it is important to them. Thank.

My water heater was not working. Did not have hot water. Tried to light it but I couldn't light it up. Called Choice Warranty 6/11/20. Service people came following day 6/12/20 and he was able to light it up. Said that sometimes wind goes down the pipe that goes up to the roof and can turn pilot off.

I rated the repair work a 3 star. My keypad and two remote controllers still not working because Choice Warranty does cover the replacement of these Items. So I asked the repairman if he could replace the Batteries on the devices. He replied No!!!! However, he did an adjustment on the Garage door cameras which took him only 5 seconds. The Home Choice Representative was great. We wanted to credited for a service charge fee from a A/C contractor who did not complete the job. And to make sure they didn't get paid for services they didn't do. We truly truly appreciate Legacy Electric (and requested they get paid for completing work left undone but the A/C company). Long story short. Texas A/C &Heat came out and basically didn't complete the job. The left wires disconnect and everything. They told us we needed an electrician. So, they contact our home warranty company to let them know. Legacy Electric was contracted to come out.
Logan (the lead Technician) with Legacy Electric came out and tested our electricity and checked our breaker box. He said everything was working great. Lucky for us he is a licensed HVAC tech also. He went and checked our unit. Reconnected the wires there and to our thermostat and put the panel back on, waited a total of 5 MINUTES and our unit was working. He is a very very nice person. We even talked about our dogs???. Very professional work. We feel very lucky to have had Logan with Legacy Electric come out. SHOUT OUT TO LOGAN!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. The last guy i talked to, whom is the original guy I spoke with after I set up a phone appointment sold it. Between those times I was contacted no less than 10 times. This is unacceptable. Extremely disappointing that you refused a claim for my son’s AC AND now you have REFUSED MY AC CLAIM. DEFINITELY will not recommend this company. I would give a zero if possible. The only redeeming grace was the man who came to fix our AC. He was very nice.

I did not get a response from CHW for a air conditioning tech to come and fix my air. So I put in for reimbursement and got in touch with Ron's Heating and Air and he came out in a couple hours and didn't have time to submit all that info. Billed me and left. I called CHW to just cancel my subscription cause I'm not going to go thru this every time I have to have someone out. Talked to a real nice lady and she was going to try and get me reimbursed and said she would call me on 6.11.2020. I sent her the invoice and also pic of info off of the outside unit. Contractor never showed up. Contractor stated he never got the work order until after the scheduled appt the day after it was sent.? Cust service was not helpful at all. Would never recommend choice. The claim they say before for plumbing was also a fiasco.

We have been out of hot water heater for 2 weeks and CHW still can not find a contractor to help us. CHW just keep telling me that they are waiting for the contractor to submit the part specification information, but the contractor kept insisting that he has submitted all the information. This has been going on for over 2 weeks and CHW has to reassign a new contractor but so far they can not find any because no one wants to work with them. They offered me an option to find my own contractor. I have called at least 5 contractors and they all refused to work with home warranty companies. Bottom line, after 15 days, we still do not have hot water.

It took 2 weeks for the first electrician, from Willis Elec. to come here. After 2 weeks and no response, another tech was sent and tried to install a fan. It was the wrong one, because he did not know that I had vaulted ceilings. I was told that I did not have to pay another $60.00 for the second electrician. Something he was unaware of. He came here over 2hrs away. Also, there was a misunderstanding about the second fan. It takes forever to get a hold of someone. The electrician explained that I need a more expensive fan than is allowed. I am willing to pay the difference, however I don't know if this electrician is willing to come back out for such a long trip. Lydia **, case manager sent me an email with her tele #. I have left 2 messages with no reply. I also left a call back request with no reply on your regular #. This is unacceptable. I expect a call back today.

Outlets & Vent Fans. The company's customer service representative was professional and friendly. The technician was outstanding. The dispatcher was horrible. He did not tell the technician about the third claim #** (back-up generator). The technician was unfamiliar with the generator but said there was someone else at the company who was qualified. Instead of dispatching the correct technician for the generator, the dispatcher reported to CHW there was nothing wrong with the generator and did not admit his error. In the end, CHW had to commission another company. I paid another service fee to the other company when I was told by CHW that it was unnecessary to pay a second service fee for the same claim. I am still contesting the additional service fee with CHW.

Updated on 06/17/2020: I have called numerous time and have waited several times for over a hour to talk with someone. The callback feature only works part of the time. My repairman has filed the requests on a timely basis and we are still waiting for a settlement. Heat in Texas is over 90 degrees and this is tough on senior adults. We have always had good luck with past claims in the past, so what will it take to work this time. Where do we go from here? On May 10, my a/c Stopped cooling. I filed a claim with CHW and e-mail from you said a repairman would show up on the 25th (Memorial Day), but did not happen. Since then, I have played cat and mouse with your team and still no a/c. I have been without cooling for 33 days in West Texas where it is hotter than hell and now you have asked for photos of the cooling coils even though the pressure testing shows leaking somewhere. With luck, maybe I can be cool by next weekend. I have a contract for coverage for a home located At **, Lubbock, Texas and coverage for my home in Levelland. Both policies are paid to mid 2024, and up to now, you have been great. This has been a nightmare and I need to know if you want to stay in business.

G&H Electrical first did not show then when I call the tech said he didn’t get the claim and will come tomorrow. Ok he show up and diagnose the problem. I needed new fans. I had already purchased 2 but when he open the box they were not the color I wanted. So I took them back and exchanged them and he came back the next day. Finished within 2 hours. Great job.

My central air conditioning is not working. There is a coolant leak somewhere that of course is not covered. There are so many things excluded and not covered so I feel no matter what Choice was not going to fix it. I’m seriously thinking of discontinuing Choice home warranty. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

After a leak was found, Choice refused to authorize the sealant. They authorized freon, but not sealant, doesn't make sense. I know the policy says, "No authorization for leak detection." This is the second time in 10 months that freon had to be added.

Discovered a floor covered in water from my washing machine. After cleaning up the water I called Choice Home Warranty. They took my info. online and shortly after a representative from Choice called to tell me that a repairman would be at my home the next day. I spoke with a supervisor following my inquiry to Choice Warranty. The supervisor advised me my policy is thru December 4, 2020. I will not renew with Choice Warranty. You promote your service extensively, with rewards for referrals, and discounts for renewing early, but had an opportunity to correct a grievance for a long time customer and did not come through, over an insignificant $45.00 copay I had to pay twice because as a layman I couldn't tell whether a leak was due to plumbing or the dishwasher. I will be going back to American Home Shield, a similar service. I was with them for years before switching to Choice.

We realized there was water leaking in our basement - we were unsure of where it was coming from so we filed a claim for plumbing. Due to the current virus conditions CHOICE was unable to get a technician quickly so they allowed us to find our own and utilize them and submit for reimbursement. This process was fast, easy and approved - not we just await our check for the difference between the cost of the service minus our service fee!

It was very easy to set up the claim. I received a quick response from Choice Home Warranty and also from the local technician company. The appointment was set up within an appropriate time frame. We actually did cancel the claim because the problem was resolved before the technician came. We were able to cancel it several days before the appointment. But we were impressed with the quick response from Choice.

This should have been a simple fix of an ice maker. First CHW sent over a technician from a company that was unable to fix the problem after 3 visits. Then you sent over a technician from another company. I'm waiting on the return visit to see if he can finally fix the problem.

One of my hot water heaters failed to produce hot water. I realized this on Wednesday evening about 8pm and quickly went online to start a claim. Within an hour a plumber was assigned the job. I received several emails keeping me aware of the progress. By 7:30 the next morning a technician with the plumbing company was texting me asking how soon he could arrive. 3hrs later everything was repaired. Highly satisfied with the service.

Service was set up within one day with A&J Drain Services once I made the claim that my kitchen sink was backed up. Two men showed up and had the problem fixed within approximately 1/2 hour. As a first time customer, I called looking to purchase a protection account and was rushed through the process with little regard to the questions I asked. I wanted to know what plans were offered and was only offer the $47 plan or the 3yr $1300 plan. When I asked questions, I was read verbatim what is on the plan that was emailed me. Sales rep was annoyed that I didn’t want to approve the upfront payment of the $1300 after I had already approved payment for the $47 monthly plan. I was rushed off the phone with little regard to any additional questions I may have, I had to ask for my policy number, I had to ask how I would proceed going forward, I even had to ask what the company website was. Only response I got was everything you need is in the email I sent you for every question I asked. I am reluctant to keep the plan I purchased and will be looking into alternatives plans before my next month is billed.

I am not sure exactly how this company is still in business. It is unbelievable the way that my boyfriend and I have been treated and I am beginning to question if what they are doing is legal. To make an extremely long story short, our air conditioning went out a month ago and we STILL. DON'T. HAVE. AIR CONDITIONING. They said last night that someone was supposed to be at our house between 3-8PM this evening. So, today, I made sure I was home. My boyfriend called the company just to narrow down the exact time they thought they might be at our house and they had NEVER EVEN HEARD OF US. (And, most definitely didn't have us on their list). And, this is one of MANY situations that we have dealt with over the last month. Where is the accountability? Who are we supposed to talk to about this? Where is the chain of command? And, does anybody care? (No)!
If anyone would like to know what happens to hardwood floors when exposed to the Tennessee heat and humidity during the summer, they bow. They do not lie flat. And, eventually, prolonged exposure to this moisture causes them to buckle. (Therefore, ruining the floors. So, what are we supposed to do when that happens)? The other day, it hit 92 degrees inside our home. This is not livable. It is simply not okay. And, no one cares!! One lady did offer us $125 voucher for the fans we have bought. However, we have had to spend over $500 on dehumidifiers, fans etc. So, thanks for that I guess. (Insert eye roll). I thought a Home Warranty company was responsible for handling issues like ours. Isn't that why we bought it in the first place?! I do not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

With the AC problem in Arizona you are sometimes taken advantage of. The first Company sent was a complete scam and ripoff and the experience was horrid. CHW sent a second service provider and they were great. If I had to deal with the first company again, I would cancel my warranty.

Joe from Geaux Pro Air was very professional, friendly and informative. He was efficient and was able to get my A/C unit back up and going rather quickly. Even though he had a rather hectic overbooked schedule, I really appreciated the time he took to educate me on my A/C system especially since I am a first time homeowner. I would highly recommend him and Geaux Pro Air to all my friends and associates.
