The technician did a wonderful job on finding the problem and providing the proper repair. The technician was on time and on point to get the parts that was needed and did the repairs in a timely matter. The technician ordered the parts needed in order to get the job done on time.

As a customer for a few years with Choice Warranty I can say that I have never experienced a problem with this company and the agents. I have received great customer service and received great service from the companies that have come out to work on my items needing repair. I would certainly and I have recommended Choice Warranty to everyone I come in contact with.

Been prompt. Most things covered. Whiten can’t fix. Had to reach out for valuation for my purchase of items. Sometimes the items could not be purchased for even close to these amounts but age enters into valuation. Most technicians wear the masks and adhere to safety measures.

Initial repair was scheduled for July 24th. I contacted BEST-TECH LLC (new company name) and requested service at earliest possible date. They rescheduled my repair for the same day and the repair was completed late afternoon yesterday. Brandon was very friendly and knowledgeable, and had the a/c unit up and running in a short time. I am very pleased with the service provided.

I called the problem in on a Saturday, so I knew the tech wouldn't call until Monday. I call Choice on Monday trying to get a status on my claim. I was told that they were looking for a tech. I knew that y'all had used the local plumbers before. I called the local plumbers to see if they had received any request, which they hadn't. So I called back to Choice and rep said she would call. I was told that the local plumbers didn't answer the phone. I waited until that afternoon. Called the local plumbers and they still hadn't heard anything, so I called Choice and had them call again.
I was told from the Choice rep, that the local plumbers didn't have anyone to send out. I called the the local plumbers and I was told that they had someone, but wanted to be paid for sending a tech ($100), because of the poor reimbursement history from y'all. After dealing with your customer service, I told the local plumber to go ahead and I would paid the bill and get reimbursed. The tech showed within 30 minutes and replaced the part and was gone after 5 minutes. I spent more time on the phone than what it took to fix my unit. I lived in a rural town and the closest town is 30 miles away and I've heard that that you don't want to pay mileage and that you are also slow to pay, so it's hard to get tech here. I'm adding a picture of the burn capacitor that caught on fire and was replaced.

StevenKing AC company and the technician they sent out are highly recommended. The tech was professional, knowledgeable and had the heart of a teacher which I appreciated. I will certainly use their company for all AC issues in the future.

Electrical problem. Secco came out. Diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes. Order the parts right away. Came back first thing next day and worked on the project tirelessly. Excellent customer service. Went above and beyond for me as the customer. Very courteous and friendly as well as professional.

The contractor was COVID friendly... A+ for that but I was expecting more for microwave at first hand... Seeing that the brand is actually over $200 and then the installation wasn’t included in the offer I know that I could’ve declined that offer but at least start high and the go low.

I’ve had Choice for several years now after leaving another company. Although I have a maintenance contract on my air conditioner and furnace when I called to have my air conditioner repaired I was told they couldn’t send anyone out until Monday or Tuesday due to the Holiday, that was when I remembered I had Choice. I called them an email and a call came in that night stating someone would be dispatched the next day July 3rd between 7am-11am which worked perfectly because I was leaving for the weekend and wanted my air conditioner repaired before Ieft. I didn’t want to come home to a hot house and I didn’t. The company showed up, repaired my air conditioner and I was on my way. Thank you Choice and the company that came out the day before the 4th of July did the repairs and no hidden fees!

I am paying warranty with this company for close to 3 years. But now I feel, it is not worth to spend money here. Better to find some other warranty company even if it is costly. This company does not have enough technicians to work on our problem immediately. They will send technician after 2-3 days even for emergency problems. With my last 2 claims they told the technician will be available only after 2-3 days of my request. With my recent Plumbing problem, I have found a technician myself using Angie's List and fixed the problem. If I would have waited for Choice Home Warranty technician I would have stuck in my home without toilet/bathroom for 2-3 days.
This company will deny most of your claims and they will tell the appliance is not maintained properly. 6 months back my AC stopped working. Please note my AC was serviced every year with proper schedule. They denied my claim and told the AC is not maintained. Some of my friends are also using Choice home and they have problem with their claim, so they cancelled the warranty with this company. The monthly fees with this company is less compared to other warranty company. But spending money is not serving its purpose!

Called at 8:41am on 7/6/20 and put in claim for my central ac unit. Called again to try to cancel at 12:17pm, held for 30 minutes then left message. Finally called back about 3:00pm by computer to tell of appointment that was set up for 7/8/20, two days away. I was able to find a company that could come out today 7/6/20. I have medical problems that made it necessary to find another company.

Called Choice Home warranty Sunday because A/C went out. Contractor called Sunday evening to set up appt. They were at my home on Monday during scheduled time. Got my A/C working again. Couldn't be happier with the service I received. Hooray for Choice Home Warranty!

I realize that COVID is causing a lot of delays. However when I call someone not connected with your company I get reasonably timed service. Your company made me wait quite a while claiming COVID caused the delay. Then did not approve my claim causing me to call someone at my expense when I could have been told when I first submitted my claim.

Original person was awesome. I had to call back because of an invalid phone number. The person I talked this call needed an attitude adjustment. Technician very polite, did his job, showed us what was wrong, fixed it and then went on his merry way.

I was very pleased when speaking with Freddie **. He was very informative and was able to provide me with additional savings on the yearly cost of my CHOICE home warranty coverage since I am currently not working. I chose to pay the year instead of monthly which I believe was a much better option. I currently have AHS (American Home Shield) and the monthly coverage is about $15 higher each month and service fee is $100 per visit. I am very pleased with CHOICE home warranty.

Air Condition System. According to the service man, the circuit board was short, which was blowing every fuse off. He is waiting from a call from the people, before he can submit an order. Now we are waiting for the feedback and by then we know what is the plan.

I filed a claim through their website on Friday 7/6/2020 for my AC. The next day I called to see when a technician will be here. She stated between 7-11 a.m on Monday 7/6/2020 and that I should've received an email which I did. Monday come and I called at 10 to see where they were and the lady said the person who makes the appointments didn't see it. So they moved it to 11-3 another 4 hrs. I called at 2:10 also to see if they were on their way. She said it had to be redirected to someone else and they would reach out to me in 6-24hrs. The whole day no one called me to confirm my appointment or any changes that had to be made. I have wasted my whole day waiting for a technician that was never going to show. My kids, dog, and I have been sitting in a hot house all weekend and now we have to wait even longer. I live in Florida and it gets hot. I couldn't wait to be able to get my Ac fixed.

20-30 days to get the washer replacement check of 350.00 after paying June monthly payment of $45 $75 deductible and July payment coming again $45...Going to pay out $165 in 30 days to get a replacement check of 350.00. This program is a rip off.

On June 2, 2020, a technician from JMG Mechanical came to my home for three plumbing issues. The first was water leaking from the ceiling. The tech cut open the ceiling and discovered the toilet leaking. He turned off the water and said he saw where it was leaking and would call in the repair, but he didn't have the right part. He then looked at a clogged bathtub and said he could fix that too. Finally, he looked at a leaky bathtub faucet. He said he needed to order a special cartridge, but would call in all three claims. He did and I got confirmation from Choice that ALL of the repairs were approved and that I had met my cap of $500 and I would have to pay the tech $13.51 upon the completion of the repairs. The tech took my $45 service fee and said he would have to return after he orders the special parts. That was the last communication I had with JMG Mechanical, as they did not return any of the four voicemails that I left over the following month.
Choice gets a new plumber out (who also required me to pay a $45 service fee) and whatever the first guy told them was causing the leak onto the ceiling, suddenly was no longer covered. Not only that, now I was responsible for repairing the hole from the first plumber, even though two other reps at Choice said that it was covered in my policy.

A service technician came to check my air conditioning systems. The tech indicated that the systems were working fine—mechanically and the units were receiving the proper amount of electricity. He then asked to check the compressors on the outside. One unit needed a pound of coolant at a cost of 40.00 and I authorized the tech to put it in. He indicated that he would be back in two days to install coils for my other unit. Later I received an email stating that the units did not meet expectations of the warranty agreement. This is a notice of appeal before my due date is up. I entered into this three year contract in good faith. Please assist!

Technicians were prompt, timely, efficient, and effective - problem solved. They wore masks and were polite and personable. They replaced an insert rather than the entire faucet, saving us the cost of a new faucet. The leaking valves under the sink were easily replaced with a minimum of leakage.

Had my Air conditioning unit go down last month, and I had 4 contractors come to provide estimates. They all told me I needed to have the unit replaced, but Choice Warranty insisted on a repair, which I would have accepted but they never came through. I waited 17 days for them to send needed parts but finally gave up because we were going through a heat wave at the time, and could not wait any longer. Many days were in the 90's and very humid. We had to sleep in the basement on many of those days, where it was a bit cooler.
Even the contractor who works with them stated that he has never seen them replace a unit, and that they always delay services as long as they can, including the payment to contractors. I wound up having to pay for a new AC unit completely out of pocket, and they refused to provide any reimbursement at all. They would not even reimburse the amount they would have paid for the repair. This is truly an unethical and terrible company.

I renewed for FIVE and a HALF years - a lot of money. I was told ALL appliances would be covered. When I tried to make a claim on an additional refrigerator due to water leaking from the bottom - I was told since the appliance was not located in the KITCHEN it is not covered. I was not advised at time of renewal. The person I talked to did not try to find a solution to the problem - simply told me that unless it was in the kitchen it would not be covered.

I am extremely disappointed in Choice Warranty. The repair companies set to service appliances are 2nd rate. They pretty don’t cover anything and they send you some text defining the loophole In your coverage. I had a case manager who did not respond to calls or emails. I have been waiting 2 weeks for a claim determination.

Placed claim via your website. Technician arrived that same day. Took his time. Very thorough. Seems to have resolved the problem. Only issue is that it was a lone technician. He needed a little help (holding flashlights) moving the refrigerator. It was no problem, but if I were elderly, could have been a problem. But he/we managed. Thank you.

We are six or seven days in on this, and we have not gotten this resolved. Our service man was very good. He came in and identified the problem-- a bad compressor. The AC itself is 9 years old. Based on the model, he recommended replacement. The very next day he told us that the request was denied. He was very surprised. We then went back to our claim tracker and found that Choice denied our request because Choice deemed that our AC was not working when the order began. We appealed immediately after that-- on July 3-- and were told that we would be assigned an advocate to guide us through the appeal process within 24 hours. After 24 hours, we were not contacted by anyone from Choice. Choice responded to our serviceman on the day of his assessment, but not to us.
We learned from him that we would be denied. It is now July 6th. No communication with our representative. On Saturday, we called after the 24 hour period and finally got information on our representative at Choice. We left two messages on his voice mail, but no response. We can't figure out how Choice came to the conclusion that our A/C was not working when our warranty with Choice began. That is not true. It was working when I bought the plan and was working when our coverage started a few weeks later.
This is the second year we've been in this house and were with American Warranty in our first year. We knew we needed coverage on this 1964 construction home. We spent almost 1200 for coverage for the next three years and were immediately denied because Choice doesn't believe our claim. It has been frustrating to go this many days without A/C in the heat of the summer. This has led us to an unsatisfactory experience of Choice.

Within 15 minutes of completing the online repair request I received an automated phone call and email from CHW with the necessary information concerning the repair contractor they had contacted and hired for our a/c service request. The information contained the repair company's name and contact phone number as well as the date and time they were scheduled for our repair and was told to contact them direct if we had any further questions or to change the appointment date and/or time. I did so and got a day sooner appointment with a very professional and friendly young lady. The service technician called an hour before his arrival, as promised, and was very professional and personable. He had to make three (3) trips to get our unit fixed BUT he did a great job. We will be using them for our a/c maintenance from now on!!

I'm now back from the hospital and struggling with my recovery after major surgery. The WASHER quit working on 23 Jun 2020. When I put in the request to have someone come out, I put on the form at the same time this was going to be a MEDICAL NEED given I was and am receiving HOME HEALTH CARE after the surgery for weeks. I finally got notified this weekend that they are going to offer me around $350 for the replacement (never mind that the original machine was $1500 and the replacement is also in the same range of price).
Quite frankly, if they had come BEFORE my surgery date, I could have ordered the NEW machine before I went into the hospital and potentially got it delivered far faster than the NOW scheduled NEW washer delivery date of 29 JULY 2020 -- Which is MORE THAN FIVE (5) WEEKS after the machine broke, 4 weeks into my intensive PT and Home Health Care after the major surgery and a BIG PROBLEM (especially since I can NOT Drive, I am relearning how to walk and can't be out in the general public due to the wounds from surgery and my age also as a factor).
PLEASE note this is a different experience than previously -- I was able to wait a week and get the final fix in a week or so quite easily -- but NOW it is a BIG ISSUE for me at this time. So please consider this when you set the appointments and get action -- I asked for a couple weeks and yes, that appointment I just barely made it home on 3 Jul (just released from the hospital!). I just wish there was a bit more offered in terms of help for those of us with HEALTH ISSUES and DISABILITIES -- I can't drive, I can't walk yet, and I can't leave my home except for being picked up for medical appointments that are the exception at this time.
(I will try to find some help, but living rural, I don't yet have an idea on how to get my laundry to a laundry service here -- I'll have to call around and see if it is even possible). IF not, 5 plus weeks without CLEAN laundry is a CONCERN since like so many others, I really don't keep 5 weeks of clean clothes in my closets and linen closets for bedding changes.

Greatly DISSATISFIED WITH CHOICE! Your lack of concern and compassion for your clients is insulting and offensive. Once I spoke directly with the company you chose to service me I was able to be seen much sooner than the original date-- no thanks to you, Choice. The technician was done within 10 minutes, was pleased to have Air again. The remaining review response will be based on Choice, not the company that serviced us although they don't have the best customer service skills either. Brad called back to offer a cancelled slot.

When trying to resolve my last claim I found it difficult to communicate with most of Choice Home Warranty's staff. I was left on hold for extended periods of time and when I did finally reach an individual they would say they were transferring me only to be hung up on.

This is my very first time using this service. At first they ask me to fix it with my own plumber then they would reimburse in 30 days. Then I was sent a plumber who checked out my water leak. I paired the service fee and I was emailed to read my contract. Do not cover the water leak and the mold that the water leaked caused. They do not cover seepages. So I know where I stand with Choice Warranty and I would just say thank you for nothing. George Foreman do not do your company any justice.

If you can’t find someone to do the repairs then what’s the use of having CHW? I wanted this policy so I didn’t have to look for service repair if things like this happened. Ice maker started leaking and making large icicles. The repair company dispatched, Service Pro, assessed the problem and immediately determined to replace with a new ice maker. The technician was very professional, courteous, did not leave a mess and took care of trash.

Aircon was not producing cool air, called for service on Friday, with July 4 long weekend, CHW arranged for the repair to be done on Saturday morning. It was repaired in a timely manner. With 108 degree temp in LV, I am happy with the experience. However, CHW advertise to have 24 hours respond to claim, and I found that is not the case, I called and sent email, no response until 'business is open at 9 am' next day.

My air conditioner was not functioning. Thermostat set to 75, however it was 86 degrees in my house???? I called Choice Home Warranty on Friday, July 3 expecting an appointment for Monday since the 4th was on Saturday. I was so pleased to get a call on Saturday morning to see if I would be home because the technician had a cancellation so they could come at 9am on the 4th of July!! The technicians were professional and respectful! They even secured my back doors once they were finished! After adding 3 pounds of Freon and something with a condenser, I was able to enjoy the weekend in 75 degrees!!!

I submitted my initial claim online the evening of July 2nd (Thursday) for my water heater which is a covered system on my policy. The following day I received an email stating that CHW was unable to locate and assign a technician and offered me the opportunity to find my own technician and be reimbursed. Twenty minutes later I received another email stating that a technician was scheduled to come out July 6th (Monday), leaving me without hot water for a minimum of 4 days, but very likely longer since the technician would have to diagnose and then order repair or replacement parts. I found my own technician who could complete work on July 4th (Saturday), but the offer to be reimbursed was no longer valid since twenty minutes after that offer was made CHW found a technician.
I called and spoke to multiple claims representatives and two customer service supervisors/managers who all told me that the reimbursement option, even though offered to me, is not allowed if CHW finally does find a technician. In this case the technician they identified could not begin work in a reasonable amount of time for me, I have small children in the house and as stated I was able to find someone to complete the work the next day. Ultimately, the claim was "reassigned" and for a second time a technician could not be identified so I received another email offering the reimbursement option which I followed immediately this time, and I am being reimbursed for less than half of the cost of the diagnosed replacement in my case (at the time of writing this I have been provided no explanation as to why the reimbursement amount is less than half of my replacement cost).
CHW should not offer a reimbursement option if they are still actively looking for a technician. This turned into a race to find a technician once the initial reimbursement email was sent to me, and they found one 20 minutes later which then took the offer off the table. I did not see these emails in real time, so an hour after they were sent (when I saw them) they were already void. The process needs to be improved, because unless I fought and argued with 5-6 employees I would be stuck with not only the CHW policy premium that covers my water heater but also the full bill to replace my broken water heater, which is supposedly covered in full by CHW. Do not offer customers the option to find our own service technicians if you are going to void the offer. Again, I never demanded this option from the start, I was offered the option of reimbursement and met a ton of resistance when I tried to utilize it.

Our A/C went out on the 4th of July. I called and filed a claim And was told it could be up to 72 hours before a business accepted the work order. Keep in mind it's a holiday and a Saturday at that! 2 hours later I get an email that states I can file a reimbursement and hire my own tech. I hire my own tech. The tech shows up, files the claim and 15 minutes later he gets a call and the guy on the phone asked him to reduce his billing because they felt it was too much. Keep in mind this is Saturday July 4th!! When he said no the customer service agent HUNG UP!
I had to call back to see if he was authorized to fix it. And to see how I was to be reimbursed because I had to pay for the repair up front. Very frustrated with customer service. They should understand that the customers when they call are calling with issues and in that case are not having a Wonderful time. If your AC is out in Texas you are HOT! And they should get someone there faster!!!! And also not hang up on the tech!!!! Maybe that’s why companies don’t want to work with warranties because they are rude to them!! Hopefully nothing else breaks so I don’t have to file another claim.

It took 3 days to repair and the people who came were nice and hardworking. It was good that I had a second air conditioning system in my bedroom wing. I think the problem was electrical but I am still not sure. A thermostat was replaced and now the wall needs to be painted. Not pleased about that.

Ac wasn’t working we’ll contacted home warranty. They sent a technician out. He said needed a new txv. Choice approved it. Everything was going well. Technician installed the part and this is where everything goes bad. The outside unit blows up 3 hrs later after installed. Choice wants me to pay $450 for the modification of the part that blew up don’t want to but need ac so I guess. This happened June 30 2020. It is July 4th 2020 and the part still hasn’t been installed for something their technician did wrong. I have a 6 month old baby. It’s July in Texas. It’s unbearable in the house. I’m suppose to have the Choice ultimate plan which is suppose to specialize in ac. So they're saying the parts suppose to come July 7. How do you leave a family with a 6 month baby without ac for over a week for something their technician did. I will update this post to let you know how long it took because I highly doubt it will be done July 7.
Really I should’ve just hired a different company to work on the Ac in I wouldn’t be going through this problem. The company probably would’ve took accountability and I would’ve had ac in my house the same day or at worst the next. Choice is a heartless company because how could anyone leave a family without ac for more than a week in July. We’re talking about over 90 degrees in the house. It feels better outside but to them you're just a number.

Called and specifically asked if our sleeve air conditioner was covered And was told it was. Made appointment for service and had to wait a week and half to be then to be told it wasn’t repairable and to make it worse Not covered. So I wasted almost two weeks of sweating and wasting $45 dollars. There’s more conditions that excludes service than a mile long. Save your Money and look for a more Reputable Company.

First off, the man that came to my home was an older man so I thought he would be experienced. He acted like a new hire. Then, knowing the problem, took my money knowing it would not be covered. Then, I get an e-mail from CHW stating the fact that my problem, sure enough, is not covered. So, I am out $65.00 and no repair work in sight. The questions below got only one star becase there was nothing lower. I got no customer service, value, or coverage. Sorry, but I am totally dissatisfied with this whole situation.

It Took forever to actually get an electrician scheduled. Had to talk to CHW supervisor to “escalate ticket”. Finally one was scheduled with maybe 6 hours notice on a Sunday morning. I’m glad to have the issue resolved but he ended up missing the initial appointment leaving me sitting around all day for nothing. He was able to come over the next day and resolve the issue. Super nice guy, great service.
I’m more so upset that CHW can email me two times a day about “a deal” for a warranty that I ALREADY have, but I can’t get an honest update on how long it will take to schedule my repair. I put the ticket in on a Thursday, got scheduled the NEXT Sunday after that. Maybe more repair companies need to be added to your network. I would have been more happy with a call saying “hey they can’t see you for a week and a half. Is that okay? Can we book it or do you want us to keep looking for something sooner?”

Plumbing leak. I reported this 7 days ago. Someone came out 5 days later and took a picture. I'm still waiting on a plumber to fix the leak. In the meantime I have vacuumed 4 gallons of water out of my carpet. The sheetrock is turning to mush. And I've dumped 10 gallons of water out of my garage.

Placing the claim and getting a technician was very easy and fast. I had someone here the less than 24 hours. The company was very nice. My AC froze. Disappointed they only authorized a temporary fix instead of actually fixing it. The technician stated he told Choice this is only temporary solution and would need to be replaced and the rep acknowledged it. I get it’s an expensive fix but I’ve paid many years with very minimum claims.

I reported a leak in my roof and was given an order number and then the agent put the order out for a company to come out and fix my leak. When the men went on the roof and found the leak, which just required 12 shingles to fix the leak, someone at Choice Warranty refused to okay the fix. I don't think replacing 12 shingles is a partial fix when the roof has 1000 shingles on it. I then paid for it myself and either want reimbursed for the cost or return $1200.00 for the remaining over 4 years that my warranty was supposed to cover.

My dishwasher was checked out and needed to be replaced. I had not realized that instead of automatically replacing it, I could be offered a cash payoff. I must admit I had not read my contract thoroughly. I was offered $179. since it was 17 years old. I spoke with a representative after I had found a replacement. CHW was helpful and agreed to pay for the replacement but I would pay for installation. I was very pleased with how willing they were to work with me.

The ice dispenser/crusher in our LG Refrigerator failed. The OEM had replaced the original assembly with a better one. Choice failed to find the proper replacement even though it was available (I ordered it) on the OEM website. When I pointed out the availability of the assembly from the OEM to the Choice rep she refused to obtain the part and instead insisted that I take a settlement amount. This took place on July 3 so maybe she just wanted out of the day.
The Choice rep was almost unintelligible. Rep could not or would not explain how or why this action had to be taken. I have no idea, based on our "conversation" what our coverage on the refrigerator or the rest of our residence is at this stage. Up till this incident Choice has performed in an exemplary fashion. This incident was a total failure that essentially happened because your people cannot or will not source parts available from the OEM. Our multi-year contract with Choice expires in January 2021. It is hard to imagine how this gets renewed given the interaction with your staff in this incident.

My air conditioning system went out. It was soo very hot. I email Choice Home Warranty. They immediately sent it in. I got a confirmation number. That was on Sunday night. They schedule me for Tuesday window open from 11:00am to 3:00pm. They were 1 hour and 1/2 late, because they had to put a air unit at another customer. They came fixed it and they left. Air conditioning unit. I received excellent service. My unit stopped working. The repairman explained the problem and told me what I could expect to happen. Choice contacted me the next morning and I was given an option to replace the unit with a cost to me of $3075.00 and I agreed and now I am just waiting for an installation date for the work to be done. Ideally I would have no more to pay than my deducts but at least I did not have to pay the full amount.

Don’t choose this home warranty company! They are a fraud and are horrible at customer service. Parts on back order for my fridge, food spoiled twice, non reimbursement, parts delivered after 2 months and taken back by the service person because he misdiagnosed the issue and said the part was not needed for someone else that Choice sent out and now Choice is claiming they sent me a check that I never received and refuse to fix my fridge after dealing with this for almost 3 months. Run!!!! Save your money.

You look diligently through the fine print for reasons not to honor your claims as you just have for my air conditioner and have done for other of my claims. Your customer service is just awful. Trying to get someone to speak to is nearly impossible.

First plumber that came was rude and refused to talk to Choice claim manager Chantel. Then SNAP came which I was not aware of therefore I refused their service. Ducky’s Plumbing came and was very understanding and compassionate about our problem. For future appliances or plumbing matters I ONLY WANT DUCKY'S PLUMBING to service my products. Bottom line I was without water for 3 days and I have an 86 yr old mother with a broken hip That needed bed sheets changed and had to be bathed. I was going to the neighbor to fill up gallons of water for our bathrooms and to wash dishes.
This is the 3rd time I have gone thru difficult issues with Choice. No I wouldn’t recommend it. Though I have paid in advance PLUS I just purchased another home Which I don’t live in yet and paid that in advance too. On top of that I had to pay $500 out of my pocket for my water heater. The first time you didn’t cover my water softener the technician said O. Culligan could repair it. Just last month my partner started working on it and all he had to do was re-program it and it works! Your technician Didn’t even try fixing it. The people you all contract have been the worst I have ever dealt with. The BEST and only one has been Ducky’s Plumbing. Maybe you should consider checking out my water softener again out of courtesy without charge. Dee **

- Before we bought the insurance from Choice Home Warranty, the sale person from that company knew what kind of electronics we have and what is the condition of the electronics. They said their insurance covered all including the replacement if the electronics is not repairable. Then we purchased the home electronics insurance from them. But this time when the air conditioner has problem, Choice Home Warranty charged us $3400 for the replacement.
- The technician didn't do their job professionally. They didn't investigate the root cause of the problem at all. We asked them to check again, then they found the problem.
- We called the person who is in charge of claim services many times, but we didn't get response for a long time. It is not a professional services at all.

The service is awesome but when it’s time to renew your policy there are way too many call reminders per day. I have received up to five calls in a day to remind me that my services would be expiring and that I needed to renew my policy. I would recommend less calls.

Complete scam!!! Horrible customer service!! At first they convince you with the best FALSE promises there is, then when you have a claim they do everything in their power not to cover it!! I was behind my case manager for 6 days without air conditioning in my house! I understand some things do not cover but they tell you not to do anything until you speak to them. I've been at my parents house for a week with my pregnant wife due to their incompetence on fixing my unit and lack of good service. I hope there was a zero star rating because they deserve it!! DO NOT BUY YOUR WARRANTY WITH CHOICE!!!

A technician from Tiburcio's (Oscar) came tried to restart heater but it went out again. 2 days later he came back and said tank was leaking from inside that is why heater will not stay on. He thought the tank needed to be replaced. He will tell CHW and see what they will do. That was Wednesday July 1st but we have not heard from CHW as of today July 3rd. NOT HAPPY WITH COLD SHOWERS..

The process of submitting, confirming and setting the appointment were all incredibly easy and the number one reason I love Choice. The only issue I have is the window for service was 11 am - 3 pm, which in its self is incredibly long and requires someone to take the entire afternoon off from work. However, my service did not arrive until after 5 pm and I was not informed throughout the day about any delay. This seems like a pretty easy fix.

You would not take my claim by phone, therefore, I was forced to submit my claim online. The next day, you sent an Email saying you were unable to locate a contractor, so I had to search for one myself. Got a contractor. Submitting the claim report online was difficult, and had to be attempted 4 times before it was successfully sent. Still awaiting claim response.

When I bought the policy, I asked the salesperson if I could use a service company I used in the past. He said I could if they were bonded and insured. The company I used in the past was not on your list of providers and I was not able to use them. Luckily my husband was able to get the A/C working.

The cost to repair is only about 120 dollars difference in a brand new stove.... I’ve been without my stove for 4 days before technician came out.. He arrived, did what was needed and said parts had to be ordered and one take maybe a week to get... so that’s 2 weeks with no oven!!!! Then once parts arrive then have to call to get someone else to do repairs since that technician isn’t available til July 21, 2020.... So that gonna be close to 3 weeks with no oven when the same stove I have is at Lowe’s for 560 brand new because of 4th July sale... I could have ordered the parts myself and had it fixed by now instead of having to wait all this time!!!! Why pay for a warranty when $120 cost difference stops you from having use of your oven for an extended time period????

I have been a loyal customer with Home Choice Warranty for over 5 years now and I am always almost disappointed when I submit a claim. It just hardly gets handled correctly and the customer service reps are hardly compassionate and never empathize with my concerns or try to resolve them. I am actually considering switch to a company that actually cares about their loyal customers. The last claim I had for my AC Thermostat was not resolved at first visit and even though my current thermostat needed replacement they did not want to cover the same grade and only agreed to cover a lower grade which would put my rental home at risk of a damaged AC in the future due to no programming abilities. This is not acceptable. A warranty should replace with at least equal or lesser value not lesser value. Thanks for reading and I hope someone does listen and my opinion does matter!

The problem with the microwave was that it was tripping the breaker every time it was turned on. The technician was very knowledgeable and resolved the problems in minutes changing a couple of switches, end of problem. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to offset any money expenditures in hundreds thousands of dollars.

We moved into our new house the end of May, then a week later our air conditioning unit went out the first week of June. We thought having the home warranty was a good idea, until we actually had to try to use it. Our a/c went out on a Friday, so when I was finally able to make contact, they wouldn't schedule anyone to come out until Monday, but I was able to reach the technician and he came out Saturday to check the system. He recommended a complete replacement.
After less than 24 hours, we still had no A/C, and filed to get it fixed again. They sent the same guy out, plus a separate technician both the same day. The second guy recommended replacement. He got all the paperwork in and submitted and later in the week I received news that my A/C was approved for replacement. I thought we were finally getting somewhere. This was June 11th. Today is July 2nd with still no idea when we may receive our new A/C.
But it continues. We got the approval and they told us the parts would take 3-5 business days to arrive. So we waited. When the 5 days came and went, we contacted the warranty company again, who could only respond through their online messages that it would arrive in 3-5 business days, and the technician would reach out when he had the parts available for pickup.
Again, we tried to reach out and learned that the online portal emails do not really solve anything, you can only make any possible progress through phone calls that take a large amount of time to finally reach someone. Even then, we were constantly told that we would have to wait 3-5 more business days. We have been told this repeatedly since June 11th, and it is now nearly a month later and we still have no A/C in the 90-100 degree weather with our toddler at home.
Yesterday, the technician called to tell me the parts were in, and I should be getting a replacement today. Only he later followed up to advise the warranty company had ordered the wrong parts, and my original order had been delayed because they wanted to change brands. He said don't worry because he has talked to their warehouse manager, and they have the correct unit currently in stock in their warehouse 15 minutes from my house. He then called me this morning to inform me that after repeated attempts to get his pickup number from the warranty company, they have not contacted him.
I contacted the company again today, they informed me that a new order was placed yesterday, and it would be at least 3-5 more business days (again) before the parts would be here. I contacted the warehouse holding the supplies and verified they had the unit needed in stock, they said yes, they were just waiting for a pickup order number from Choice. When my husband called back to Choice, they said no, there was no confirmation. He told them we just talked to the warehouse who said it is in fact there. They said it doesn't matter, they do not have the confirmation and cannot do anything.
So, here we are a month after starting this terrible ordeal with this company as a "valued customer" and yet we still don't have a part that sits in stock at the warehouse 15 minutes away from my residence because we need to wait 3 to 5 more business days. I don't know how long this will go on, or if we will get a new A/C this summer, this year, or ever, but my recommendation to any reading this is DO NOT invest in a home warranty and especially DO NOT invest in Choice Home Warranty. You may think it will save you money, and it might a little. At this point, when this is all said and done we will have put about $1600 out of our own pocket into this for a system we were quoted at $3300 total, but we will be at least a month without A/C in the 90 plus degree summer heat.

When I called to place the claim the representative was very polite and courteous. He help me and set up the claim and provided all the information needed. I received text message and calls advising the status of the claim. The technician that came to evaluate the problem was very courteous and knowledgeable. A legitimate claim was filed with CHW on 6/25/20. CHW's authorized technician inspected/analyzed the air conditioner and provided an estimate. CHW denied the claim stating compressor failure NOT due to "normal wear..." A failed compressor on a 16 YEAR OLD A/c unit IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR!!! This is an outright bogus attempt by CHW to NOT PAY A LEGITIMATE claim.

I have had nothing but problems with these guys. Our AC went out on 6/9/20 and I submitted a claim same day. They approved repair on 6/10/20 yet is still not fixed. Today is 7/2/20 or 22 days later and still not AC. We live in Texas and the temps are over 90 degrees every day. The process is that they (of course) hire a service AC repair company, but then Choice must issue a PO for the materials needed. Choice has misordered the materials twice. Still no AC. I have spoken to them half a dozen times and the AC service company a dozen times.... This is NOT the AC service company issue, but directly a Choice Warranty issue. Do NOT use these guys but that is just my way of expecting good service for what we pay for. Join the party and sign up or RUN.... Choice is just that.... YOUR choice until the sign up.

The first contractor sent out - A Snap Plumbing - was horrible. They didn't seem to know what they were doing, one of the employees wandered around my garage with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth the whole time, didn't have the part, took the expansion tank with them, said they'd be back the next day and I never heard from them again. My water heater was unpIugged, the panels removed from the front of the unit to dry out - they told me it was a miracle my house didn't catch fire since everything was wet from the spewing leak from the expansion tank, and I couldn't get in touch with them to come put it all back together.
I called Choice and asked that they not be sent back. San Antonio Plumbing was sent and they were awesome. Unfortunately, it was them and not Choice or the idiots who took my expansion tank that told me that it wasn't covered and had the water heater needed replacing it wasn't covered either. I bought 3 yrs of this warranty because it was supposed to be so awesome. 2 yrs in, this is the first time I've used it, although I called once a few years ago for something else that I was told wasn't covered so I had to pay out of my pocket for that one.
The contract isn't exactly what the salesman told me when I bought it and he is the one who picked this particular plan based on what I told him I wanted - I'd have paid more for another level that really covered what I wanted. Yes, I did read it, but much of it is as clear as mud. This whole experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. VERY long hold times.

Dishwasher not working. Very frustrating process so far. First technician came five days after initiating claim. His report was not accepted and we had to wait over a week for the second technician to diagnose the same issues with our dishwasher. Now a part has been ordered and we will wait at least another week for it to arrive and schedule an installation. Too long to be out of a major appliance. Customer service did not understand the issues and I could not easily communicate with them.

Have had Choice HW for years and have been happy with the service. I sold my home and cancelled because I hadn't found a new one yet. When I found another home, I choose Choice again to cover my home. Just wish I'd have simply waited to cancel old policy so I could've transferred to new home bc my rate went up with new warranty. :(

The techs from MJS Plumbing were first of all gentlemen and very knowledgeable in what they did. There was a problem with the new faucet but they solved it and all is done to my satisfaction. I would indeed recommend these men and their company!

I had a leaking pipe. Even though it took 2 weeks to fix it (due to Covid probably) I am happy with the service with Choice Home Warranty. I will recommend to anybody. But I had problems previously but solved later. Thanks.

The tech was experienced and thorough. He arrived on time and diagnosed the issue quickly. He ran a full diagnostic test on the dryer and was able to determine that the washer needed to be replaced. We look forward to having him out again.

Professional Appliances are wonderful. They are timely, professional, friendly and accurate in assessing the problem. I would recommend them to anyone. This time CHW did a great job getting the technician to our home in a timely fashion. The last time was an emergency and my claim was not treated in an emergent manner.

You have authorized my a/c unit to be replaced. However, you have left me without air for a week, and I have no idea (nor do you) as to when this is going to happen. We are now going into 4th of July weekend, so I don’t think I’ll be getting a tech soon! I told your company ANCHORED A/C could have a duplicate unit installed this Friday for $4,400. That is something you are not willing to do. I purchased a 6 year contract on 2 homes and now that I’ve had something serious happen And it is taking this long for your company to actually take the action they said they need to take; it is ridiculous. It is 100 degrees outside every day. I think I’ve made a mistake. I’ve even referred people already. Very disappointing.

Despite the fact of the awkward location with which to access the pipe, the technician was able to fix the leak without any major damage. He did this by using something called a shark fitting. This enabled him to replace the damaged pipe with using a soldering torch, which would have been a fire hazard.

Genivs changed the capacitor. The motor was making noise and went out. I put another call in. Haven’t heard back from Choice. I had a bad experience with the last company Industrial Services LLC. He never returned and charged for extra services that was never done. Asked for a return call from a supervisor and was never called to discuss the situation. That was not good for myself or choice warranty.

Our kitchen ice maker was not producing ice. After placing a claim with Choice online in just a few minutes, an appointment was scheduled for 2 days later. Frank at A&E was prompt, professional and knowledgable. Our icemaker motor was broken. Choice Home Warranty approved the repair within minutes and the parts will be here next week! Overall great experience, I would recommend their services!

Two servicemen arrived and repaired all three items with ease and efficiency! They had the tools needed to repair all three items. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves when the job was done. It took them little time see the problem and get it corrected.

Our dryer wasn't working properly, I went online filed a claim late at night, the next morning first thing I had a call from the tech with a time frame, tech was great, communicative, timely, quick to find the problem and fix it, and friendly. Choice did good with THIS claim.

The tech was at my home for about two hours and I am thrilled that problem was taken care of. My only issue was that they used my tub to pour water from the toilet. I understand that they needed to get rid of the water, but they did not clean my tub and I didn’t appreciate having to do that when I came home from work (my adult son was at the house and didn’t check before the left the house).

Very fast to respond and attentive to my needs. Don’t pay the initial asking price, tell them you need to think about it and they will toss a discount at you. I had two claims the popped up almost right away and they provided service right away.

I am not sure why I would sink more more into a home warranty especially if the one time I tried to use it they deny the claim. I am not sure if harassing me with multiple phone calls a day is going to get me to renew especially after rejecting my claim. Thanks for nothing!

Very bad experience. Choice Home Warranty always try to find illogical excuses to not fixing the issue if it costs some money. I do NOT trust choice home warranty anymore. Our information can be reached by scammers. I received an email telling me that technician will come to my home and gave my my full name and policy number and claim number and when I called Choice home warranty they said that they did not send me any Emails.

My 1971 condo master bath shower handle became almost impossible to turn on and off. I called Choice Home Warranty who contacted Laszlos. Very busy company. So Laszlos sent Tibor’s Company as a replacement plumber. Tibor is a genius! He had to remove a bunch of in-wall equipment before he went out looking for the correct pieces. Now everything works better than when I moved here!

Took a week to get a plumber due to Covid. Once scheduled the plumber was on time.... Called first.... Did a good job and left area clean. Only gave a 4 because it took a week. Would highly recommend but be patient due to wait time.
