Contacted Choice on 7/13. Tech came on 7/14. Hot water heater leaking, it was determined water heater needed to be replaced. Was approved to be replaced. Need text there was up charge for parts $300. Call never got call back, email said it was for additional parts and disposal of old tank. After approval I was told it was going to take another 3-5 business days to get hot water heater installed. It seems to me choice is a big fraud. Would never recommend this company.

Took over a week to get a repairman to the house. Another five days to tell me that it will cost too much to fix so here is $299 for a new washer. Cheapest washer I could find that was comparable was $700.

Arrived on time, did fine job. Friendly & professional. Wore a mask. Called day prior to confirm. Also called day of to give me ETA. MrGee's Appliance Repair I recommend. Only problem was the original appointment Choice made he was not aware of, no one ever let him know... That was not his fault.

The technician from EWSG Pro was very professional and resolved the issue with the capacitor. He explained the problem and resolution well. The unit is functioning well 24 hours after the repair. So far so good. Thank you and have a great day.

Oven was not working. The tech ask me the problem and he did a diagnostic of the problem and made the repair expeditiously. The tech was very knowledgeable about repairing the stove, I must say it is working great. I will recommend Sears repair to friends and neighbor.

I I recently advised two of my friends to enroll their Home coverage, With CHOICE WARRANTY! This was because one friend had poor experience with his current provider and the other friend didn't have any warranty service coverage!??? A few years ago, I was exactly in a similar relationship with my former Warranty provider (poor service and high costs)... I made a change!!??

Unfair decision on replacing my refrigerator - Pictures from inside my refrigerator which for some reason the required bulb has burned a hole in top of refrigerator in which moisture can escape and cause problems. I am liver transplant patient and has to be very careful to bacteria. Inside moisture is escaping inside of refrigerator. I don’t want this to do damage to my immune system.

The gentleman from Cforce, llc came to fix the shower that was leaking. He called me before he was coming and he was on time. He explained what was wrong and what he needed to fix it. He was very professional.

Great that we did come to an agreement on amount to replace my broken washer. What I wasn’t too happy about was amount of time to get repairman out to my house and then get part and then that part didn’t fix the washer. I was without that washer about 3 weeks. Then had to wait another few weeks to get check to help replace that washer. You are very good at response time to service request but then the issue comes into play when repairman can’t get to us for several day’s so by the time they get here we have been without a washer for a week. If they have to get a part then that drags out another week to 10 days.

Service tech was here on time. Was able to figure out the problem right away and ordered the needed part. Very friendly and professional. He called me later and said the part was ordered and should be in by Saturday and will call me to schedule to come back.

This is my first time using Choice Home Warranty. I am very please so far, the customer service is Great, the ease of placing my claim was done quickly and the cost of the service is affordable. Five or six year warranty. It barely covers anything. I've had to fight the few times that I've used the warranty. This is a sham. The techs are great. The warranty the company horrible as always. Horrible because I have to keep fighting get things fixed when I've already paid for it.

Techs. were ahead of scheduled time and were professional. Would prefer to use same company in the future: EAST HEATING AND AIR. The Techs. were respectful for my lack of knowledge of the AC problems. They explain the issues to me in very easy language so I could understand the problem.

Because of the virus you were having problems finding a provider that was willing to come into someone's home and I understand that. I told them I had a personal plumber who came out to the house and follow your rules. I will see how this goes.

We were very dissatisfied with the lack of compassion on your part as we had to keep calling you for service on our AC in the hottest week so far. It took 4 days of us calling you and the Techs to get service.

After finding a leak on the kitchen floor I called Home Warranty. It was a pipe in the wall that had the leak. It was fixed in a couple of hours we thought. Well the next day we had another leak, which the plumber said might happen. He is coming tomorrow to fix the second leak.

The technician was purely wonderful! Although scheduling was a touch confusing as I received multiple phone calls regarding my appointment from several people from the vendor. I was told in my initial call that it would have to be Monday. Then, I received a call the next day saying they could work me in on Friday. The tech came on Friday and was very knowledgeable and fixed the issue quickly. I proceeded to get four calls on Saturday and Sunday to confirm a follow up. This was not necessary per the technician.

I submitted a claim to have my ac looked at since it has been a week since it was working. So when someone finally came out it was 4 days after the claim was submitted. The tech said that something had went out on the ac and it should be back blowing cool. He advised me to close all the windows in the house. After doing so the ac still wasn’t blowing cool air. It’s still blowing the same hot air as it was before. I have contacted support but still haven’t heard anything back yet. The fact that you have to pay for the service call and the problem still isn’t fixed is a really big inconvenience.

Nothing is ever covered. I could have save the $1500 I spent on the warranty. Nothing can ever get fixed and I still have to pay the fee for service. That leaves me in the same position I was in before. I will never recommend you guys ever again.

Took too long to replace the snap on waterline. Technician had to wait too long to get approval then had to go get the item needed came back and had to go back to the store because he need something else to go along with it. Had an extremely difficult time removing and replacing the water pipeline. He did a lot of pushing pulling. He also put his foot under the sink. Was not a good experience.

I have witnessed a great service for my service request from the start to finish. Lori who was my case manager provided excellent customer service. Our realtor recommended Choice Home Warranty and I have to say everything he raved about was true. The company is very easy to work with and incredibly responsive. Our house has proven to have a few more surprises than we had expected and Choice has been there to help us with that. After an initial slow start the service was excellent. The Tech sent from Al's Appliance repair was pleasant and certainly knew his business. He had to place an order for a part and came back to replace it as well as another potential problem with my machine. All in all if your washer has to crash it was good to know that Choice Home Warranty and Al's Appliance has my back! Thank YOU.

Under counter ice maker. Statesboro Appliance has sent techs out 3 times so far. They replace a part and leave with the unit running. Makes about 3 loads of ice and then starts grinding. They are coming back tomorrow. They don’t know for sure what the problem is but they continue to work on it. So we are being patient and will see what the end result is.

Got here early, was quick and efficient. After being without air on the hottest day of the year at 115, it was a relief to have the air back on. WE hope it doesn't go out again, but if it does, we have our warranty to help us.

Mr. DJ examined the issue and submitted the claim but it was denied due to the incorrect installation of a water line. The line in question was inside the wall behind the bathroom vanity and wasn't visible. In short, the issue derived from work that had been done to the home prior to our acquiring it in 2005 and was not readily apparent. Reason for denial of the claim listed "improper installation" but there was no way of having known the condition of the water lines. Information provided at the time of purchasing the home simply listed pipes/plumbing had been newly installed.

Our ice maker stopped working so filed a claim and an appointment was made for a technician to come and do an assessment of the refrigerator ice maker in a reasonable time frame, which was great. The technician was very thorough in doing the assessment and was polite and knowledgeable answering our questions. It took two days for the claim to go through to accept fixing the ice maker and now awaiting to hear when the technician will return to fix the ice maker. To this point the service has been excellent.

Choice sent out two different electrical companies to my properties. One in Ga and one in La. My claims were denied. The company in Ga came out, looked at my light fixtures from the ground and gave a diagnosis improperly installed. He didn't use a ladder or take down any fixtures. The company in La. came out, took down the light fixture and test the wiring without the light switch being on. He said the light fixture needs to be replace but it's a wiring issue. When initially signing up for Choice Warranty I was told all electrical were covered. I'm giving Choice Warranty a F for services. You shouldn't wait three weeks for service just to be denied. I'm appealing the technician's decisions. Waiting for case manager's calls.

I was 4-5 days w/o hot water then there was a 1-2 day discussion between the contractor and Choice Warranty as to what water heater to get. Seems CHW didn't want to replace the same water I had but wanted to put a cheaper one in which showed me that CHW was not honoring what they advertise which was to replace my heater with the same make as I had, but pushed to give me a cheaper brand and that was very disappointing and frustrating for everyone at our end. Had I not received a new AO Smith water heater plus all the aggravation the contractor and myself went thru, I was ready to cancel my contract with chw.
However, considering the inconvenience I was put through and the length of time it took the contractor to install the water heater (thru no fault of his own because he really worked hard and long to get the heater installed) I have decided to give chw one more chance, but if ever experience this type of delay and arguing over what needs replaced for me as a senior citizen, you can be assured I will be out of the chw Contract before you can blink your eyes.

Upfront, CHW paid $190.00 of a $240.00 bill using my technician. That’s reasonable. CHW couldn’t find an A/C repair Tech to service my unit. CHW required my tech to submit a lengthy repair estimate online which delayed him. Overall I was very satisfied with the outcome.

I was not pleased with the service I had received on Friday July 10, 2020. The service company GK Mechanical, LLC. The gentleman that came showed my brother that our compressor was good. He hooked up his reading device. He stated it was good. My brother witnessed him take the wires apart and then he paused before putting the wires back. He stated he had to go get some new wires out the truck or he might have to go to Home Depot. Once he came back with a new compressor and wires he hesitated. My brother asked him, "Is everything okay." He stated yes. Once he starting putting the wires back I yelled out the window, "What are you doing? My lights are blinking." My brother witnessed him take out the new compressor and stuck the old one back in because at this point our light had gone out and my brother did go and hit the breaker and we only had partial lights in our home.
Now remind you I had only called for service for my air conditioner. I had to put in a claim for a electrician. I did call and complain because before this person entered into my home I had lights throughout the whole house not partial lights. He also stated to my brother we need a new furnace & air conditioner. Both over 30 years old. It appears to me every time I call for service I keep getting denied and I have been with this company for years and just renewed my coverage. I am very dissatisfied and upset about this. I feel like I am being taken advantaged of. I have a warranty that I can never use so why am I paying for this warranty if it's not helping me save money.

This was my first claim on anything covered by Choice and I was disappointed that it took five days from the initial filing of the claim to have someone show up to look at my system as it was in the nineties and very hot and humid without our air conditioner working properly. The gentlemen who were assigned to check out my system were limited in what they were able to do, and could only add refrigerant to my system as there was no input valve to allow for the addition of any sealant to help stop my system from losing more refrigerant down the road. I am hoping that the additional refrigerant will last through the warm summer and additional calls will not be necessary?

Called cust service on the 7th of July and told them my washer was broke down. They told me they would call a tech in this area to get it fixed. Would call me back and tell me when a tech would be here to fix the washing machine, well they did what they told me they were going to do, the tech was here within 6 hrs after I contacted Choice Warranty. 2 hrs after the tech arrived The machine was fixed. Very prompt company and very good service, would recommend to anyone.

Philippe was professional and knowledgeable. He was knowledgeable and repaired my AC quickly so that I had cool air with 115° temperature outside. I would highly recommend him. First I was told it would be up to 7 hours before I was notified about when and who would be dispatched to fix the problem. 18 hours later I call you all and asked about the info I was supposed to get. Then I was told it would be 24 hours before I got the the details. Later on I received a phone call saying the plumber would be out in two days. If this was a major plumbing problem I would have had a problem.

The technician Abdel did a great job. He came 2 days early and fixed the AC unit and waited to confirm that the temperature was dropping inside the house before he left the premises. Abdel took his time and actually waited for us to get there so he could get started. He asked questions and talked to us during the process so we knew what he was fixing.

Overall an excellent experience and would recommend using them for the warranty company. Cleaned up after fixing problem. Gave advice on how to make new disposal last.

The claim was completed quickly. The only problem I had was the first contractor failed to show up when schedule and it took a little bit of time to get it assigned to someone else. The second contractor was quick and made time to fit us into his schedule. The ac was repaired and we just had to pay our service fee.

My unit broke down. I am a old woman with health conditions and this company broth help pay forgot replace unit. They left me with no help or air in 100 plus heat. I hate this company. Yes my unit may have been old, but how many people change air condition every few year.

Water heater gas leak. Very courteous, answered all my questions, communicated when he would arrive and he will call back to schedule part replacement after ordering to schedule installation. I would recommend Matt to a friend. He explained in detail what needed to be done and why he would have to order part and the time it would take to get the part and then the installation of the part. Overall excellent communications.

Whereas we were not happy that the reason for our hose bib failure is not covered by the warranty company, we were very happy with the plumber that came out. He was very respectful and informative. I asked for his card in case we want to move forward with the repair. His price was very fair.

Updated on 07/30/2020: When my dishwasher stopped working, the technician said it was the Timer. I needed a new dishwasher. Choice Home Warranty offered $179 to replace it. After some discussion I agreed on $300. I knew it wasn't enough however, their fair way of offering help is to offer very little. I had to go and find another dishwasher, and pay the difference. I had to pay for the parts, and the delivery. Installation was not included and I had to find someone to install it. I don't call this company a helpful hand. They want their money but doesn't want to treat the customer fair. The CHW, I got what I paid for. Cheap.
Original Review: Dishwasher not working. When locked and turned on, will not start. Serviceman said it was the timer. The replacement value that was given was $179 which is way too low. I need talk to someone about the price. Thank you. There are many factors that you have not considered. I also have paid for 5 years in advance. If I haven't paid this much, I would have been able to buy another one.

ECO heating and cooling employee was friendly and explained the issue. I would recommend this company to friends and family. They even came ahead of schedule. Our AC is working great now, just in time for the heat that is arriving this week.

From The time I called your company to report my problem it took 13 days to get the repair done. Now I realize there are a couple of weekend dates in there but it seems like an awfully long time to get parts ordered and scheduled for the repair. The repair Has been done to my satisfaction and the technician did a good job. It just seemed like an awfully long time to have to go without a refrigerator.

Started claim around 6 am and unit was fixed by 3 pm. Excellent service air conditioner stopped working in Sunday and turned in claim first thing Monday. Got an immediate reply and technician was dispatched by noon.

Original review: I had my first claim about 10 months ago. It took over 7 months and did not fix the problem. Your company sent me a check for $700 (I had paid $4500 to buy my cooktop). During the 7 months my family and I had no cooktop. This week, we had a Hood that broke. Your company denied the repair! During the sales call, I named all my appliances and your sales person said that I need to pay extra to cover my stand alone freezer only. I paid. No one takes responsibility. No one seems to care. I manage a company also and there are times that our customers are more important than $$$$. Please Cancel my account.

Tech was excellent installing fan. Tech noticed I had an AC issue. Choice sent out 2 different companies. Still not resolved. Fan installer saw oil on the outside unit. Still having AC issue. Fan installer did his job. Current air issue has me dissatisfied with choice. My ac unit has been running 3 straight days and I will have a large utility bill.

Once I received the technician’s number and appt I contacted him to rearrange the time and he was pleasant and considerate. He understood why we needed it quicker than scheduled and we changed the time- no issues. He showed up earlier than expected, quickly assessed the issue and fixed them. I would hire him again.

I have had CHW for almost a year on a 10 year old house. In that time I have had issues with my heating system and washing machine. CHW has great response time for local service companies who do the work. However, big limits on what parts they will cover. I had no heat in the coldest part of winter in NY and they wouldn't cover the $750 part that is essential for the unit to function. My high end washing machine needs new parts that are too expensive, so they offer a buy out. The $ amount offered is about half of what is needed to buy cheapest washer at Home Depot. Pros: They get a service provider. Service call is discounted. Cons: Final bill per call is unknown due to limits. Maybe my expectations were too high but I do NOT recommend.

Garage door. Takes way too long for them to find a technician. (2 weeks) Once a technician completes the work, Choice Warranty hasn't even covered the costs. After reading into the contract, it appears there are a lot of exclusion to the coverage.

Maytag washer Started leaking water all over the floor. I called. They got back with me right away. Come out. Was able to fix it and I was back in business. I’ve had other Home Warranties and they are so lousy. Their service. Their repair time. I called to terminate an existing policy on our previous home that we sold 2 weeks ago. The sales rep then begin to push me to a new offer for our new home purchase that we do not even own yet. I repeatedly asked if our existing policy could be cancelled first. The sales rep said he would cancel the existing policy, "No Problem". He then went on trying to sell me on special rates for a policy on our new home. After hearing the sales rep out, I asked if I could think about it and then proceeded to say goodbye. Looking at my bank statement minutes later, I have a new charge and new policy in my email inbox. I did not consent to moving forward with the new policy. Our existing policy on our previous home is still showing as active as well. This is borderline illegal as I didn't even provide the sales rep with my CC information.

Reported broken the end of June. The part came in last week. I was sent an email from Choice that the work would be completed on the 10th of July. Waited all day. No repairmen. When I call they said it will be 24th of July to complete my repair. This is a poor time frame to have to wait almost a month.

I called regarding a commode blockage due to an accident. My husband dropped his glasses in the commode. BY ACCIDENT! When he reached for them he dropped something from his shirt pocket as he flushed. He salvaged the glasses but not the item. I feel it is very unfair that it became a non-covered event as it was an accident AND we were honest about it. We did not try to lie about it.

We misunderstood the Choice. We attempted to make the change by calling and customer care hung up in the middle of conversation 4 times. We do not want to do business with a company with such horrible customer service. I will definitely be publishing this experience on every social media and rating site I can locate. And to think we were attempting to sign up for the 3 yr plan.

We have now dealt with Choice Home Warranty twice. The first time was for our air conditioner and they could not have someone come out immediately due to Covid, which we completely understand. They allowed us to find someone in the area and to receive our money back. We never received our money back and they argue with my husband about it for about 45 minutes every time about how we needed to submit pictures and then have the guy come back another day once they approved everything. It was 90 plus degrees out and we had already waited 5 days for them to attempt to find someone.
Next, our garage door broke. The spring busted, the cord broke, and the garage door will not work. I called the request in and they immediately sent someone out to look at it. The guy took lots of pictures and told me that they would be out Monday to fix it due it already being Friday. We never received a call on Monday, so I went online to look at our claim and they told me they would not be covering it because they do not cover springs. They said "GARAGE DOOR OPENER INCLUDED: All components and parts, except: EXCLUDED: Garage doors – Hinges – Springs – Sensors – Chains – Travelers – Tracks – Rollers – Remote receiving and/or transmitting devices." Well considering that they cover Garage Doors but nothing that has to do with garage doors they never should have charged me and they should have immediately told me that they did not cover the springs.
I am officially 400 dollars out because of them and my Aunt, who is a realtor has officially taken them out of all of her contracts and is advising other realtors in her office to do the same thing. They are not helpful, they will argue with you 24/7, you are always wrong, and they are not a warranty company, they only want your money.

Our claim has been reassigned twice and we have been without a refrigerator for a week, client service is below standard. They will trick you into renewing your contract for another year with a “sweet” deal of 1month free and no call out fee for the pending claim. Their customer service is appalling to say the least, we’ve had two technicians confirm that our Refrigerator is not worth the repair and yet again our claim has been reassigned to another technician, I guess they will do this until they find an answer they like because they do not want to replace it. We have tried to escalate this and they don’t seem to worry or care about our concerns. Don’t fall into the same trap!

A little hiccup with this repair to my Hvac sys, it quit working on a weekend and CHW had difficulty getting me help and I opted to find someone on my own who came in an hour and made repair. I have submitted their bill for reimbursement. I don’t expect any issues since CHW has been fair with other claims and I would recommend them.

Called CHW on 7/7 & Laszlos Plumbing was called by CHW & appt was set by CHW for 7/9 between 7a-11a. Laszlos was at my home before 11A. Diagnosed problem in less than 10 min. It was the disposal, he had one with him & was done in less an hour. EXCELLENT to both CHW & Lazlos. I have recommended CHW & she signed up with you about 1 month ago. I forgot to tell her to mention my name for referral, Her name is Diane ** & lives in Glendale, AZ. If possible would like 1 free month. My AC broke down on Friday night into Saturday morning. I called CHW and started a claim and mentioned I had little kids and the temps in the house were climbing. At 1pm Saturday I had not received a technician assigned to my claim. I reported that the house temps were nearing 100 degrees. I finally received an email stating an A/C company had picked my claim at 5:38 pm. The company gave me an appointment for Monday the next week. I explained to CHW that we can not survive the heat for 3 days and if I could call and get an A/C technician and claim a refund later.
I did that and long story short, CHW has refused to start my refund claim saying it was not authorized and as per policy they assigned a technician. I think that is not applicable as this was more an emergency as no one can stay in a house that was in 100 degree temps. Very disappointed as a customer who has been with them for 3 years, especially during a pandemic where we don't want to go to other people's houses or even hotels. Poor service and lack of consideration and hiding behind policy. The customer agents should have know that 100+ degree temps in and outside the house is considered an Emergency. Do the right thing CHW, all situations are not black and white.

I agreed to paying the whole year in advance to get the 13th month free. After that the sales rep asked me about eight times about extending it to five years. Even after I said no repeatedly then he went after three years again at least five times. He was very pushy and abrasive. I thought he would be glad that I wanted to pay for the whole year in full but obviously that wasn’t good enough.

I SPECIFICALLY asked about the coverage limits for items on the policy. Tony told me $15K per year. I said, "So if my central air couldn't be repaired & it cost $8K to replace, you would cover that?" He said yes. I rec'd the policy & it says only up to $1500 per covered item is allowed! I have since called back to cancel my policy.

I got the call and Sydney transferred me to Trevor. I told him I was not wealthy so he gave me a monthly payment I could afford. Also Trevor told me if not completely satisfied I could cancel at any time. Original repair date was set up for 3 days after call to Choice. On the date of the repair, no one showed up from Proserv. I called 3 times and left messages. No return call from Proserv. I called Choice and the Choice employee called Proserv which did not answer. I was instructed by Choice employee to call Choice in the morning and they would try to reschedule. Proserv arrived at 3:00 in the afternoon that day. Once here, the technician was very good and apologized for the "miscommunication". I thought Choice's involvement was very good, but would have hoped to get the AC scheduled sooner. I understand that AC repair is busy during the summer, but it has been consistently over 110 degrees in the Phoenix area and it was tough going 5 days without AC. The lower rating has to due with Proserv not returning my calls.

CHW absolutely failed in their handling of my claim. CHW was unable to get me a plumber to fix my toilets and bathtub drainage. They told me to get my own plumber and they would reimburse the cost. First of all, I am paying CHW to render service, not tell me to get my own technician. CHW refused to reimburse me because they said I didn't follow their rules. I will give reviews on every social media available and also to all the military clubs I have dealings with. They will not be good.

I want to be totally accurate and “FAIR”, unlike CHW. So here’s the problem. Customer has an item that he/she feels is a legitimate claim. You dispatch a trade to assess the item. The trade gets my required co-pay plus a service call fee of $85.00 from CHW. Technician writes a detailed report, submits it and 8 out of 10 times CHW denies the claim, usually for not being serviced properly. First of all, you don’t know that. Second, it’s a Catch - 22 for the customer. Your company should be investigated for misrepresentation and fraudulent and misleading advertising. You hardly ever pay a claim, the hold time is ridiculous, now you’ve gone overseas with foreign customer service calls, and Compared to American Home Shield, CHW is a complete ripoff.
The only reviews you post are obviously satisfied customers - where they got lucky, I’d like some of that luck. Your recent wholesale denial of a detailed and fully descriptive water heater issue (15= years old and beyond life expectancy) was totally wrong, unfair, and a very typical “Catch-22” situation. I could have scripted your response. How do you know the water heater was not serviced properly? Why can’t you simply pay a legitimate claim without Inducing high blood pressure, going thru the appeal process, and making your reputation worse? 5 years, 3 properties, and only a few claims, most of which were denied for frivolous reasons. There really needs to be a Congressional Investigation into your practices. I will await the appeal answer - but I can totally predict your answer; it’ll be “Claim reviewed by a senior analyst, and appeal DENIED”. I’d bet on it.

The dryer was not drying. When the repairman came he checked the vent in the back and it was kinked. He unkinked it and we checked the outside vent and it was getting air and it was working. This weekend it stopped again. Making loud noise and the drum is not moving. The service is guaranteed so I called them again.

I’ve reached out to anyone possible. I’ve been on the phone with customer service 7 times (if they are ever available) with no help, all saying different things and passing us off to others that can’t help. AC completely out (paid for my own assessor and he let me know it is totaled and unrepairable), live in Arizona temp 95-115. I’m staying in a hotel. Must wait week for any help or even an assessment as they refer out and don’t care for timely service. They Won’t accept any service providers available within reasonable timeframe as o had come out on my own dime but they won’t accept his assessment. No service or support available on weekends so I’m just wasting time.
My AC went out Wednesday and I can’t even get help until Monday earliest. Then I’ll need to schedule AC replacement which can take a week or more. I’ll end up spending at least 1000 dollars to put my family in a hotel till our AC can be replaced. I’m livid at the lack of communication and support. Warranty we pay for should be peace of mind not added stress and headache. I wouldn’t recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone.

The man came out never checked the attic and said it was a pressure issue. My AC unit is tilted on a cement block about to fall over. No one ever mentioned it except my neighbor. I have had several of your plumbers come out, take my service charge and not do a thing. I don't know if $500 per year plus now a $60 service fee. With only a few calls per year. I sent you 2 people and had to run you down for my free service???.

Tried to renew monthly. Was forcefully talked into a 3 year agreement. Called the next day because we reviewed our finances and realized it was too much to spend right now. The representative was rude and aggressive and said he would cancel. Never got an email confirming the cancellation and now my card has been charged. I will dispute with my bank and going to report this to BBB as well.

Our experience was SO incredibly disappointing and I wish I could give a ZERO star rating! We had recently cancelled our American Home Shield coverage because of horrible customer service and deplorable technicians sent for an electrical problem (wouldn't leave, talked inappropriate things, charged us for non-performed activities). I did my homework and thought that CHW might be the perfect solution, really liking the home warranty package/repair idea. The VERY first day of Choice Home coverage (after paying the $450 yearly fee 30 days prior) our water heater, after 17 years, died.
I submitted my service request with CHW online and was DELIGHTED to get my text and phone call saying that a service person would be out THAT DAY. The service person arrived, diagnosed the problem saying he saw several of the same issue two weeks before in other homes (water heater had begun to leak so pilot light went out) and that Choice Home repaired them no problem. He, the repair person, submitted the claim and then reported that it was DENIED. When I phoned CHW to see what was the problem they confirmed the denial and said the problem was pre-existing and that it wouldn't be covered.
The water heater worked EXACTLY THE NIGHT BEFORE when I took my nightly bath with hot water and no problem! My husband was ENRAGED and immediately called and canceled our Choice Home contract that had just started THAT DAY! (7/10/2020). We are done with these home warranty "solutions" and will warn any and all we meet against falling for their lure...while they still have money in their wallets!

They are there for you when you need them and I appreciate that. When you call them they send a technician out and all you have to do is wait for them to finish the repair. And compared to the other home warranty company they have the better monthly rates. If I had one thing to complain about I wish they would cover more household items like fireplace or wall heaters.

I am less than impressed with this HW company. This is the second claim I have made that has been denied, I think it's time I research for a new company. I work for a hosp system and it was recommended thru work but no sense if they deny claims. Very frustrated!

Sewer stoppage. Technician checked and evaluated the problem. He did not see where there was a problem. The technician said that it might be a foundation issue. He cleaned the pipe anyway just in case. I was happy that they came so quickly as this was an emergency for me.

No technician showed up today. I had an appointment set for 7:11 20:20 at between the hours of 3:00 and 8:00. It is 8:54. We are still in the heat with a small child here. I have called several times and it tells me no voicemail is set up.

Submitted a claim regarding AC outside unit constantly shutting off. Tech came out. Check things out and said if it happens again call him back. 3 hours later same thing. Outside unit keeps shutting off. Temperature in the house 85. Tech comes back next morning. Replaces fan unit. That was Tues. Woke up Friday. Unit went off again. Leave it off till it cools down and it restarts but shuts off again and again submitted another claim and different company is coming Monday which means another $65.00.

I was very pleased with the excellent service I received. The technician from HomeMeisterLLC arrived the morning after I placed a call to Choice Home warranty. He arrived at the time they said they would. He was clean, polite, and very efficient. He got permission to replace the disposal while he was here, and had the new disposal was able to replace it at that time. I definitely would recommend this gentleman and will request his service if I have future plumbing needs.

My dryer didn't run. The Choice Home Warranties scheduled very reasonably and promptly. Technician from All American Appliance Repair came to my house as scheduled and checked the dryer. At the time of technician Chris' visit, the dryer was running as usual. He checked details and found nothing wrong. He sad to contact with him if it has same problem within 30 days. Technician identified on 3 July hot water heater needs replacing; technician was suppose to replace hot water heater on 10 July day. I called that morning to confirm appointment and was told wrong size was ordered. Same technician identified drain pipes were blocked in master suite bathroom. Tried snaking drain with no success. Then poured acid down drain; drain is still blocked. We are unable to wash clothes, shower, or use the bathroom. Floor in laundry room is coming up and cabinet are soaked too.

I was told I could use my tech and I did not use the one you sent. I called him ahead of time to cancel. He called the author line but the recording said to go online etc. He tried but it was going to be lengthy. I’d be charged more by tech if he was there to wait for auth. I told him to go on and I’d handle. I was denied the simple repair that is covered because I didn’t get an author. I had all the info needed. Since the Author line was not open due to Covid I should be allowed to give the info and be paid. I’m very unhappy with Choice and want a full refund on my policy. It’s not worth the battle.

I recently switched to the Choice Home Warranty and a few days after joining, my washing machine had problems. A tech was sent out to check it out, turns out the drum was bad and deemed too expensive to replace. I have been given the option of receiving money towards a replacement or for Choice to replace it. As noted in the email I received, notifying me that I had the option to buy my own or have Choice replace it, I opted to receive money and actually do an upgrade to what we had. The process was very easy and straightforward.

It was determined that the AC compressor went out and though it is covered in the plan it still was not covered. I bought the warranty specifically due to the age of our AC units and I have them serviced every 6 months and it still not covered. I really don’t understand why it was not covered. Instead of getting the compressor replaced I now am stuck buying a new unit which was over $6500. I really feel the determination was just a lot of words to get out from paying the claim. While the technician was on the phone with Choice warranty the rep on the phone asked how much it would be to fix the compressor and the tech said $2800 and 5 min later the claim was denied. I feel it was unfair that the claim was denied.

I've been using their warranty service for the last 2 years since I bought my house. I used the warranty for about 5 times. They always acknowledge the receipt of my claim instantly (within 5 minutes) and most of the time, technicians are dispatched within a day or two. The most recent claim was my AC external unit which didn't come up. I filed a claim online at around 4 PM and the technician came and fixed it 11 AM the next day. Such a relief since we were experiencing a heatwave almost 100 F along with very high humidity. We were very worried because we have a preemie who can't sweat to cool herself down yet. The technician replaced the external unit motor and filled freon gas for us. I'm really thankful for the prompt service.

I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty. After I called regarding my air conditioner not cooling efficiently. Which was not an emergency. There was a repairman @ my residents and my air conditioner was fixed within 24 hours. All I had to do was pay for the service call. Choice Warranty contacted the service company and took care of the paperwork and remaining balance. It’s a fabulous company.

My air conditioning went out and now your company wants to me to pay $3250 that I don't have. I am 63 years old and you're not fixing my air conditioning. I have health conditioning and it has made it worse. Please listen to your recording that says, "We realize that things broke over time and we want you to have peace of mind." You're misrepresenting to get us with you and then not doing what you said. The technicians prove there was no neglect. The system is 28 years old. I took care of it. I need a new one ASAP! It is hot and I will go to social media and I recorded your recording and will put it on there to let them know you don't stand behind what you say. The reason for 3 stars is not for the company you sent but for Choice Warranty alone. First, it took about 8 days to hear an appointment has been schedule. I get an email on Thursday saying someone will be out that day, very late notice. The email also stated there will be $0 service fee. No one showed up for the appointment so I waited around all day. Second, the company called me Friday after I left a message the day before and said they did not have me on schedule. I get a second email from Choice saying someone will be out that day, Friday, and there will be a $0 service fee. I spoke with the company and see said I do owe $45 and she can't schedule me until I paid for it. After I paid the money she put me on their schedule which was no the time Choice emailed earlier that day.
Lastly, y'all denied my claim saying you don't cover lights. Well when I first filed my claim and said the lights don't work on one and the light flicker on another why wouldn't you say that then instead of sending someone out and have them think you'll cover it and he'll have to order the fixture. Choice Warranty is very misleading when you main page saying you cover electrical and ceiling fans and big lettering, easy to read, bullet format but in reality you don't because in fine print you say you don't cover lights. This company is a fraud and deny more claims then you approve.

Henshaw's HVAC repaired my air-conditioning Thursday 7/9/2020. They were scheduled for Friday and called early Thursday to see if they could come earlier. Tim ** showed up on time. He was dressed in a Henshaw's shirt. Very neat. Very professional. He checked my HVAC, explained to me what was necessary to repair and had my air conditioning working in about an hour. Plumber was excellent. I had a very contentious issue with Choice. First technician mischaracterized claim, sight unseen. After plenty of back and forth debating, a new tech was dispatched. Desmond found the actual problem - it was not what I or the other tech thought at all. Desmond was on-time, courteous, professional and completely restored my faith in this warranty. Before him, I was ready to cancel my policy.

Called for service before lunch time per frig wasn’t working. Called 3 X up until 4. Was told still can’t find a vendor. Received email at 9 at night saying they have vendor. Updated on 06/16/2021: Submitted a claim on a Sunday and received the service on Tuesday, which was much sooner than expected. The worker who attended our AC unit was thorough and worked quickly. Before we knew it, our unit was up and running again. He left us with his business card telling us to call him if the work fails. So glad we are not suffering in this heat any longer.
Original Review: Great customer service and value. Adrian was very helpful when I have questions. He give all the options better for me. I was very easy going with his help at all the times. After shopping around Adrian make me see this was my best option for coverage and peace of mind.

We went in detail over the alternative plans and I was able to choose with all the data in my mind. My experience with the competition was that they changed the rules with no clear interest in keeping the customer timely informed of changes. Your rep. (Sean) has a lot of knowledge of the business and that inspire confidence.

Tasha was very knowledgeable and knew everything I asked her immediately. She answered in a very explicit manner in order to make me understand your process. I hope I will never have to call you but she made me realize that if I needed to I could. You are blessed to have her in your employ.
