    We’ve been without air conditioning for over a month now. The first technician that came to our house got in touch with y’all and told you what we needed and had now. Y’all told him to put a MUCH cheaper one in, so he declined to do so and left working for y’all. The new technician that came to our house 2 days ago, now y’all are saying we have to pay 921$ out of our pocket. When we took the premium package to avoid this out of cost. I’m outta work due to the Coronavirus and we don’t have that kind of money right now. Tried to get in touch with our case manager twice now and no reply. When we talked to a supervisor 2 weeks ago she assured us that everything would be taken care of because of all these problems. Please help.

After she finally called, she stated our check could take up to 30 days. Direct deposit is not available with Choice Home.     Tech was nice but I had to tell him my unit was not on running. He told me there was no problem and he did not see anything, well the unit was turned off. Then my claim was denied due to improper repairs. Well I just bought the home and been here 5 weeks, there has been no repairs. I didn’t even know it was my AC unit until my friend came over and told me what was located in the area where my ceiling was leaking and took pictures. When the tech came I went up in the attic with him because he said everything was fine. I said we turned the unit off and cleaned the water up to prevent my ceiling from caving in. I would not recommend Choice Home or Texas HVAC I called another company out did not have to climb in the attic the repaired my unit and we had air again. Thanks for nothing and I won't be renewing my policy and I will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience and not to use either company.

    C-FORCE LLC plumbing was initially contracted by CHW to work on the property to repair a plumbing issue and was out at the site on May 6th, 2020. Robert from C-FORCE LLC was rude and caused the tenants problems and showed up with an attitude from the moment he arrived. The work he performed was not done professionally and caused another claim to be submitted, causing the owner to pay an additional service charge. For example, the repairs called for the installation of the flange at the base of the toilet. The flange was never leveled, causing the toilet to rock back and forth. This rocking caused additional water leaks and required another service call. Again, the owner paid another service fee for work that was initially completed and later found to be defective.

    After another claim was filed with CHW for the same issue, C-FORCE LLC was again selected to facilitate these repairs - and this time, the plumber pulled a no show - not once but twice. He never informed anyone he was not coming. When the property manager called Robert to find out where he was and why he was not at the property, the plumber stated he was no longer interested in servicing this claim, causing several days in delays in serving this claim. Again, CHW was contracted via the claims process requesting another plumber.

    For the record, C-FORCE LLC is no longer welcome at our property. We ask future claims to be reviewed and issued to licensed professionals, with the demeanor of addressing the customer's repair needs promptly and in line with CHW values. We commend CHW for the opportunity to leave this feedback as there is no other process to ensure the quality of work is maintained.

    At approximately 10:30 am I found that any water used was flowing onto the basement floor. I had to turn off the water. I requested a service call but 5 hrs later I had no response. I sent an urgent message to Choice and shortly I was told that I could my own contractor. Roto-Rooter was able to send a technician within the hour. He was able to diagnose that it as the main line that was blocked and had the equipment on the van. After completing the paperwork and getting approval, it took about one and a half...by 8pm I had a cleared drain. This is a 2 family home and no water for a tenant is serious.

    Live in Central FL, the A/C stopped working Friday afternoon 07/31/2020, file a claim and finally got a notification between 7-8pm. Notification stated that a A/C tech would be out Sunday 08/09/2020. I called the A/C company and best they could do was have someone come between 11-2 on Monday 08/03/2020. So wife, I and dog sweated in 90 degree plus heat and humidity over the weekend. Not sure why the Administrator did not make this an emergency repair call. Was not overly impressed, had thought they would have someone local with 24hr emergency service.     I had water coming up in my hardwood floor. I thought it might be a leaking pipe. The plumber fixed and brought a restoration company to assist with clean up. The plumber and team are awesome!! However, when it came to how much I would have to pay out of pocket, I was livid! I was told my max per year was $500. I had another plumbing issue last November 2019. I had purchased 3 years when a salesman called to get me to renew. There was no mention that my max would spread over 3 years. I also found out that the pluming job back in November was not handled correctly. The toilet was loose and the bolts were so tight that they broke and the large pipe down into the floor was broken up!!!!     The technician did an excellent job and went above and beyond. The quality of this warranty has proven to be worth the value and cost of the package. There are certain caveats in the contract that need more explanation. For example the air conditioner that was repaired was greater than 5 seer and so I don't know if the warranty covers part of the air conditioner if it needs to be replaced.

    I reported to CHW that my HVAC wasn’t cooling properly. CHW said that they couldn’t find a company to respond in a timely manner and recommended the reimbursement route.     The technician who responded to my call was excellent. He was from C&D HVAC. He determined that the refrigerant in my system had been contaminated by a previous technician that was used by your company. This should have been covered but was denied. I spoke to a case manager Jean **. She continued to deny the claim which was a legitimate claim. I had to pay the technician $425 for new refrigerant which Choice Home Warranty should have covered. I am going to cancel my policy. It was a mistake to do business with your company. I have dealt with many service providers over the years and Choice Home Warranty is the worst. I never received a denial notification and only discovered this after contacting you.     I am a new customer. I called to get a quote for new service. I spoke to Choice agent Sam. I expressed to Sam that I currently have a home warranty but I was shopping around for a new one. After a brief conversation with Sam explaining, product, price and service fees I decided I would go with Choice. I explained to Sam that I would pay the premium in full. After giving Sam my contact information and CC #, Sam proceeded to tell me about an offer in which he felt would be a good deal for me. I allowed Sam to finish his pitch and I gracefully told him that I was not be interested. He asked why and I again gracefully said that I was not interested. It didn't matter why I wasn't interested. The fact that I said no should have been enough.

    Sam continued to press the issue and started to make me feel uncomfortable and second guessing my decision to become a Choice customer, seeing that I was just signing up and I was already receiving horrible customer service. I made a joke and asked him was he going to pay for the extra 2 years he was offering me. Sam still wouldn't let it go so at that point. I said no several more times and when Sam refused to move forward with completing the transaction, I told Sam that I was done talking to him and I asked to speak to a supervisor because I no longer wanted to deal with Sam nor did I want to be a customer of Choice. Since I had given Sam my CC, I wanted to make sure he didn't run my card.

    Once I asked for the supervisor, Sam realized he had really messed up and he wanted to try to fix it but at that point I was done. He acted like he didn't hear me when I asked or a supervisor. He wanted to know what he'd done wrong. I explained to him that I was done and I wanted a supervisor. A supervisor name Mike got on the phone and apologized over and over. I told him that I wanted to cancel the service and He begged me to give Choice a chance. He tried to assure me that Choice has good customer service and he would listen to the call and use it as a teaching tool for Sam.

    I still wasn't happy with the situation, but I decided that I would give Choice a chance. I hope I don't regret going against my better judgement but I still have 27 days to cancel. My first experience with Choice was not good and I probably would not recommend you all but I hope I my experience with you will get better going forward. That call has prompt this bad review. I hope you'll will right your wrong and we can move forward.

    We purchased a warranty policy from Choice. We filed a claim for our AC unit and a tech came out and assessed the unit the same day. However, CHW would not approve the claim without us sending more info. so the tech could not start work. We sent the requested info the same day and still have not heard back about whether our claim has been approved or not. It has since been 5 days since filing our claim, it is August, we are in a heat wave, and I have a 3 week old baby recently home from the NICU and no functioning AC and no response from Choice’s customer service.

    Each time I call their customer service line, I am told I will receive an answer on my claim by close of business. I have yet to receive any reply. When I asked to speak with a manager the customer rep told me that was not possible. I cannot live in my house because it’s not suitable for a newborn infant without AC in the middle of summer. Hoping someone from Choice can get back to me soon for the safety of my family and especially baby.

    In simple words, this company is a scam. Their marketing people will make it look perfect for you but when it comes to claims, they have all the tactics to deny your claim. Their appeal process is a joke, never able to reach the case manager by phone or email, most of their business is outsourced to the Philippines, hard to understand... if they answer. The only number that answers fast is the marketing!!! This is a scam company and the Arizona Attorney General is suing them. My advice, never ever be fooled by their marketing staff (the only staff you can understand).

    I’ve had an experience with this technician before joining Choice. I can remember thinking that I would not want his services again, then through Choice, he serviced my ac a second time. Let me say that the job was done, services rendered to satisfaction. My issue was more on the lack of professionalism. I was expecting a uniformed service technician who would present proper ID. This gentlemen did not. I was reluctant due to his unprofessional appearance but it was unbearably hot and I needed my ac fixed ASAP.

    As mentioned, overall, the job was completed. Thankfully. But, my home was left a mess and minor damage to my walls the first time around.     I purchased a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty, and the Air Conditioner went out during the middle of the summer. It 3-4 weeks to get a technician to come out to tell us yes it is broken. The Tech did not report his findings back to Choice Home Warranty and "he want out of town and could not be reached". We had to have another tech come out to tell us it is broken. Both techs had to be paid out pocket. Choice Home Warranty "TOTAL PACKAGE" did not cover the repairs for the AIR CONDITIONER. I had to have another company come and replace the unit.

    A whole year later has passed and I did not renew the warranty as it does not cover anything. Then I get a random charge from them. I call and was placed on hold for over an hour. Just to be told, "We canceled your contract and why would you think you would get a refund?" Well I did not request or sign up for a new contract and this is a year and few months later. I have been on hold now for 2 hours, 7 calls later in one day and I have still not received any resolution.

    The technicians were not the problem. It was Choice customer service that was wretched and terrible. It took OVER five weeks to fix my AC. It took that long because some person mispelled my email address. Looking back over my closing documents my name and email address was spelled correctly on every document. Why they didn't call or follow up at all is beyond me. This also caused further damage to my walls while the AC was constantly thawing and dripping all over the drywall. Then, I had to pay another $65 deductible because the problem wasn't fixed and water was running all over the garage. I have had to call Choice several times, they don't call back and are hard to get to. Worst service I have seen in a long time.

    This is my personal experience so it's not up for debate. So don't send your lawyers or whomever. This company did not live up to their contract. I canceled a contract with a previous company. I was given all of these promises and I needed service for plumbing and 41 hours later nothing sorry about the talk text. However I was told that I could pay out of pocket and be reimbursed in 30 days which it makes no sense because I am paying for a service. What if I didn't have $500 to pay Pronto Plumbing or Roto-Rooter simply because this company doesn't deal with these other larger companies and deal with in network companies only so while they're looking for other in network companies that they may contract with. We the the consumer are stuck with figuring out what else can we do and to come up with monies that should not have been an issue since we did sign up with a company who guaranteed services.

    This is the worst warranty company I have ever dealt with. They don’t cover anything. They claim my A/C repair wasn’t covered yet their terms and conditions state nothing about my specific issue not being covered. You can appeal to a case manager but they never call you back. I have left over 5 voice mail messages to my case manager. I have yet to speak to her after close to 4 weeks. My coverage ends on September. I have already purchased a new warranty with another company that starts covering me in September..

    One more thing. On both of my Incidents I get an email from Choice claiming due to COVID they are having problems assigning a technician. Are you kidding me? So they offer “reimbursement”. But if you read the fine print, it takes a while to get your money. So I called a local A/C company I used before. They were there the same day. I can get a technician same day but Choice can’t find anyone to come address my repair. Avoid this company. There are plenty of other warranty companies out there.

    My pool heater didn't work properly. I called CHW. They sent a reputable contractor to my house. He was here the same day so very impressed. He diagnosed a bad electronic board. CHW responded that it was not covered. I found that very perplexing as it was fixed, I think, 2-3 years ago so it was covered then. I am perplexed if it were covered then why isn't it covered now. I will call Monday and ask for a better explanation. CHW has been good in the past but sometime I question their reasons for not fixing something that I had thought was covered. Thank you and again for the most part enjoy CHW but again perplexed it seems that when on TV they say their appliance are covered as soon as I turn in a claim they find a way to say 'O, sorry that's not covered'.     My A/C unit stopped working. Called Choice Home Warranty who I paid in full for 3 years of service. After 12 days, 2 different service companies, 2 different diagnoses, and about 25 phone calls they denied my claim due to “not normal wear and tear”. I clean the coil on my unit every other month, change the return air filter every month. Beyond that everything else is normal wear and tear because as a homeowner that’s all I can do to keep the system in proper working order. I Don’t overwork the unit keeping my house at 72-73 degrees in the Texas summer. So now 12 days later I am paying out of pocket for services that I wish I had just paid for in the first place.

    Our opinion of Choice went from GREAT to BAD. Been trying to have our A/C repaired for 2 weeks, here in Texas in July, August today. The tech did not repair it and has set multiple appointments and stood us up repeatedly. All Choice does is call that company again, telling them they approved the repairs and to come.     I filed the above referenced claim only to be contacted by your office stating that due to COVID-19 that I needed to hire my own contractor to take care of the job and then file for reimbursement. At your advice, I did so. The electrician came in and fixed the problem which was a switch that had shorted out causing the other switches on the same circuit to not work. He repaired and replaced all light switches but the problem was in the main switch. When he filled out your required documentation, he had no idea what caused it and I suggested possibly it was from a power surge due to a storm we had had and maybe it had been a lightning strike? That’s what he put down because that’s what I suggested.

    I am not an electrician & he is not in the habit of filling out paperwork. I had to pay him upon completion of the job. There were two electricians here for 1 1/2 hours you deducted the service call so I am out 200+ dollars because you didn’t like the language that he used! I have filed two claims with you & you have denied both claims! At this point I am 100% dissatisfied with your company, your service and I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, unless you make this claim right! By the way, the electrician I spoke to after you denied the claim advised me had it been an lightning strike It would have knocked out the two electrical boxes knocking out all of our electricity not one switch!

    The old water heater was covered by manufacturer warranty so you provided the technician to diagnose and install new heater. On Friday 7/31 the new tank was installed but!! It leaks not all piping from the old heater was hooked up. Electrical conduit was not reattached to wall and electric wiring is exposed pop off. PVC was not installed and I made two trips for supplies connectors and elbows. This morning the pan under heater had water in it thus a soldered joint is leaking. To say the least I am not happy. The tech did not even clean up his mess plus a bag of his trash was placed in the garage. He is suppose to come back and finish but I wish someone else could come as I lack confidence in his workmanship.
