Technician was great. I had to call myself to get someone here to fix the problem. Waited a week and never heard from a technician from Choice. Was very disappointed. Once I called Jarboe, they were out the next day and did an excellent job. Will use them again anytime. The reason for the marks below is for Choice Home Warranty, not Jarboe.

Easy service and fantastic communication from Rican Heating and A/C. I would highly recommend. They were able to fix our A/C very quickly and were willing to go the extra mile with communicating every step of the way. There was no additional out of pocket cost more than the service fee.

Repairman was prompt and showed up early. Although that issue wasn’t covered under the home warranty, the repairman offered a maintenance service for a reasonable price. I was very happy with the service and would definitely recommend the company.

I had called to report a problem with my bathroom drain for the second time but that was not the issue with the call. I had told the gentleman on the phone that I had first called on Sunday and after being on hold for 30 minutes I chose to be called back. The recording says that you will be called back in the order that the call was received, when I called back on Wed. and was lucky enough to have someone answer I questioned the man about not getting my call returned after 4 days and he said they have 1000s of calls to return. I questioned waiting 4 days and his response was, "We are available 24/7. You should just keep trying to call us back." If that is the solution why offer the call back service?
He was not very polite and then I asked to speak with a manager and he asked why and I said, "Because I would like to," his response was I needed a reason, so I said, I am a dissatisfied customer, he said that was a different department and he would have to transfer me, I said I did not want to be transferred. I wanted to speak with a manager. After an argument he finally said he would have the manager call me back. That is the WORST customer service ever. The supervisor did call me back and apologized for the poor service and said he would speak to the person. Obviously he needs training!!! I would like to give the ABSOLUTE HIGHEST RATING POSSIBLE to my service tech Jason at OSP. He was the nicest, most efficient service tech I have ever had for any service!!!

My last experience with Choice Home was terrible! My Case Manager name is Nikole **, whom to this day I haven't spoken to her. Her phone goes directly to voicemail. I have tried for three weeks to solve this issue. We requested multiple times for a Supervisor to call us back and to date it has never happen! I also requested Nikole's Supervisor to call me and I have yet to get that call. Finally on yesterday, Sep. 3rd a gentleman by the name of Edward ID # **, is the only person who has helped me. After this issue has been solved, I will no longer be interested in staying with Choice Home. I have never seen Customer Service like this and I've been with Choice for quite a few years.

This was our first time using Choice Home Warranty and we can say that we are impressed by their response. Time and date were booked but the Engineer came out on site before the due date and sorted out the system in 30 minutes. He was super helpful, polite and did a great job. For some reason I couldn't make contact with vendor. After repeated calls to CHOICE without getting name of the vendor, I called one at random. GAGNE responded and charged me approx $180 for the Service. This $180 charge was in addition to the $50 already paid to CHOICE. Total cost approx $230 instead of the $50 I expected.

My wife & I have used this company before they fixed our furnace very fair and honest. We have even resident to use them for a maintenance on our Central heat&Air. My hubby has MS and central air is not a luxury it a medical necessity, heat is horrible for people with MS. Workers are polite, and answer any & all my questions. Explained just what is wrong and what is needed to fix.

AC had stopped working during the hottest week of the year. We were without AC for 4 days and had to leave home because of inside temperature. The technician that came out was very courteous, polite and knowledgeable -- but it took a long time to get the Freon needed.

The tech from Omars express, was very knowledgeable, courteous, got the job right the first time. He worked with me to do the job within my timelines, as I work full time and a caregiver and worked with me the entire time. Now that is great customer service.

The service technician from Cooks Heating and Cooling was excellent. I was disappointed when I was asked to get my own repair service due to they could not find anyone to complete the job in a reasonable time. Upon my second call to Choice Home Warranty I was notified I would hear from someone the next day. It was Cooks Heating and Cooling would do the work. My wait was only two days due to a weekend. Why did I have to call a second time?

AC is short cycling and not cooling well. The outside. Unit also is noisy. Electrical bill continues to increase and we believe this is the reason why. The technician believes the panel board and the downstairs thermostat both need replacement.

I had just returned from a trip from California. On Sept 2, 2020 about 3pm I turned on the AC unit to cool down the house. It was about 105 outside. About 8:30 pm I noticed that the AC was not coming on anymore. I call Choice Home Warranty about 9:30.pm. A claim was opened. At 1:30 pm the next day a services tech came and fixed my unit. The Sales person name Mark were so helpful and explain every details. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. He explains clearly my plan and I'm so happy With my savings compare to my Old insurance company. I called again and another answered the phone and the same experience with the person.. Chris Wenzler plumbing was an absolutely fantastic experience! Very personable and professional and responded very quickly. He got both my problems fixed within 24 hours, and even worked me in before the holiday weekend so I didn't have to wait 3 days. I can't say enough good things!

So our water heater broke on Wednesday afternoon and I put in a claim on Thursday morning. I was told that a company would be out to check out the problem 8 days from now. That is completely unacceptable. I know it's just cold showers but 8 days? Glad it wasn't our furnace in February.

Very satisfied with the response time and technician was knowledgeable and did a great job. Air Enforcement is a superior service. I am happy thus far with Choice Warranty. Our Air Conditioning thermostat was a large problem and the technician tackled the issue with knowledge. This will complete my review as I have to bring my kids to school.

Zero help offered for a covered issue even though had coverage for years on multiple properties, I have two units at this primary residence. One broke down about a month ago and $1500 was paid to replace the unit that costed me $3700. Nothing for this second unit of same age and I will have to pay $4100 for this unit all out of pocket. I am looking to move all my properties to a different Warranty Company after this denial.

AC was not cooling the 2nd floor. Contacted Choice Home Warranty on Saturday morning and was given an appointment on Monday. AC was repaired fast and service was very professional. Very happy with the service from Choice Home Warranty and would recommend it to others.

My AC wasn’t working, they did a great job fixing and cleaning the unit. The only problem I had with them was, they gave me a appointment time from 7-11am so I took a half day off. They didn’t arrive until 1 and stayed until 645pm so I had to take the whole day off. Should have had a pm appointment.

Dan as very good with analysis the situation and solving the root cause of the leak. Appreciate is attitude and professionalism. We need more of Dan within the Choice Home Warranty circle to get satisfied customers. This particular claim of leak had a one day turn around which also appreciate. Other claims most times I have to wait for days to get someone in the house to look at the problem.

The service technician came out and was very professional. He fixed the issue in one day, it was the dryer, and replace the part they needed to be replaced. We had no problems. Choice Home Warranty was fast in response and they chose a great tech. I would recommend them fora warranty company in Houston. I've only ever had one issue and that was quickly resolved.

The technician did a great job. Unfortunately the disposal did not act up like it has over the last couple months. But the technician still took it apart and cleaned. It still is working properly and without the clanking as if there is something wrong. It is working great now.

I called to set up an appointment to fix my air conditioner that was leaking. I had Mars fix the problem. It was very easy fix. However I was under the impression that Choice sent them because they said they put a rush. I paid the 125 service fee. Then I get three other calls and three different appointments from three different people. I asked Mars if Choice send them and they said, "Not sure we get sent by so many people not sure who?" Of course I was contacted in the morning and informed that Mars was coming over today and they did. But the service call was not 45 dollars. It was 125. Would like a reimbursement. This was so wrong from the start.
In a recent review of your claim, our records show that we did not send out Mars. The technician that was on your claim was Meyagie services. They were scheduled for Friday September 4th, 2020 between the hours of 11:00 AM and 03:00 PM.

Cement Ponds came out and inspected my Pool Pump and found the leak, they had to replace the parts and thus had to go and order the parts and get permission from CHW to repair, they came out a day later and repaired it and everything is good. I'm happy with their work.

The representative was very helpful but I was not satisfied with the answer I got about what was covered in my plan. I was not aware of the stipulation of the air conditioning repair. If I am paying for a warranty I should not have to call a repairman outside of the warranty.

I was looking to discuss a plan for my home and spoke with Jason. He was very patient and provided several options as well, which shows his care for the customer. I called Choice on Sunday to get help with My Home AC not working. I was set up with a technician on Wednesday. Technician was great, troubleshot my unit and determined the Compressor was not operating. Unit is 9 years old, and compressor is still under warranty (Rheem). Wednesday night I am informed that it is not covered. A compressor should last longer than 9 years so my compressor must have suffered a catastrophic failure. Pretty amazing diagnosis over the internet simply determined by the Techs Ohm meter reading, compressor was not removed or closely inspected, system is sealed and holds proper pressures for current temperature conditions, coolant is full and no signs of leak in the system.
Open an appeal. Thursday morning talk with my appeals manager. Told I am not covered, did not seem to want to try and understand the points of my appeal that I did not think this should be classified as catastrophic. I then agreed to have the technicians come back and fix my unit and I would pay the cost, hopefully getting some type of discount. I was assured I would be contacted back within 30 minutes, possibly a little longer. I never received a call, email, or text back. Called and left a voicemail in the afternoon, still no response.
It is now going on day 6 with no resolution. My daughter who suffers with Acute Immune Deficiency has had to stay in her bedroom where I have an AC unit working. The rest of my family is suffering in the heat. I guess I am totally on my own. I have an expensive warranty from Choice, paid my $65 service fee, and have been told to you are not covered with no logical explanation, and to rub salt in our wounds, was told the Choice would set up my original Techs to come back and install a new compressor (still under warranty) at my expense, and they didn't even do that for me.
I will get on the phone in the morning to see if I can hire a company to come and fix my AC unit. My family is suffering and shame on me for trusting Choice. I will be retaining my old compressor and contacting Rheem (the manufacturer) to see if they can help me financially with the part that is still under warranty. I will also see if they can have the unit diagnosed to see what the "Catastrophic" failure was.
Thanks to anyone that has read this far. At the beginning of my initial call to Choice the representative asked if I would like to sign up for an additional year since my current warranty expires in 2 months. I politely declined and said, let me see how my first claim ever works out and I will decide after that. Guess you know what my decision is now. I am very disappointed with my experience and can not recommend Choice as a Home Warranty Company. I come away from this experience feeling I have been treated unfairly, and wish that I could talk to someone withing Choice that would listen.

We are still waiting for a technician to be assigned. What happens if you don't find one? It is very difficult to contact your company.. We need to have someone contact us. Do we get compensated if you can't find one.

I was pleased to get a great deal on my new Home Warranty plan. And was appreciative that my customer service agent was offering an even better deal (albeit over a longer time horizon). However, after politely declining a few times he kept pushing for the new deal. I started to get frustrated because he couldn't accept "no" for an answer and was very close to declining service completely. We eventually ended it, though.

Replacement of pool/spa clock. Clock cease working this morning - called CHW and immediately got claim #. Repair technician called - submitted an invoice which I am about to submit to CHW for approval & payment - only $275.00. This invoice should be approved immediately.

My policy isn't due to expire until 9-26-2020. I have been constantly harassed by sales people since July. It reminds me of doing business with a "tote the note used car lot". And then when I have an actual need to use my policy no one wants to communicate in a professional manner or give straight answers. The disclaimer on this form speaks volumes - a reminder to be civil must suggest there are a lot of unhappy customers!

I made 2 claims and have been unable to access any reimbursement forms online, and no one answers the 1-800 number. My claims are honest and need to be addressed: fridge leaks water from underneath and fan in the furnace stopped working... I would like some help to getting the reimbursement forms.
In addition, an email with the reimbursement process has been sent to the emaill address we have on file.

I had one technician come out to the property and made the problem worse. The second technician ordered a new part but never showed to install. Third and fourth would schedule appointments but not show. This process was over 2 months and had to call my own repair guy. Choice could not get someone to fix my problem after 2 months. Their technicians that did showed would take 2 weeks to schedule and appeared to be underqualified. Customer service was little help and not responsive to emails or phone calls.

I had a couple of plumbing issues like: Low water pressure in sink faucets: Fixed. Broken sink stopper lever: Fixed. Broken toilet flush lever: Did not fix; no available parts: the service man did not offer to return with proper parts. Overall it's OK.

Choice is very responsive whenever we've had a problem. The repair was covered and fixed right away. Tenant is happy that the AC is back on! I recommend Choice to anyone who would like to remove the stress of unexpected repairs that comes with homeownership.

We spent 45 days with NO air conditioner in the middle of the summer!!! We took you up on offer after 7 days of no air conditioning to get our own tech. We submitted their recommendation but your set us up for failure because you want to discuss the repair with the certified tech who doesn't have time to wait to speak to your insurance folks. After 21 days of waiting for your approved contractor, Choice sent out an incompetent, first time contractor, who wasted a week of our time and never submitted the repair request. We spent the $49 for our contractor then $45 for your first contractor Jack of All Trades who did absolutely nothing.
After the unit froze your second tech had to cut the pipe before requesting repair of the wheel mount and motor. That was a cost to us of $125 and finally after arguing with Daniel **, who lied about the cost and was trying to get us to share the cost of the repair, our unit was fixed after 45 DAYS. Now, Daniel said we were going to be reimbursed for the $125 plus $45 and here we are September 3rd and no check has been sent. POOR POOR SERVICE!!! POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I am so glad I signed up with choice and also this is the one my realtor mentioned previously but I had forgotten but luckily I did choose the right one. The HVAC Tech who came to my home on 2 Sep was great. He discovered/confirmed no gas leaks and after talking telephonically with an Inspector, completed the bubble & leak tests a 2nd time. I have nothing more to say.

Paid for a service to find out the valve that makes the A/C run in our bedrooms is not covered by our home warranty. Filed an appeal immediately and got a case manager. Took 6 days to get in contact with her and she said it’s not a covered part. Thank you for another week without A/C. Asked for a supervisor to contact me before 3:30pm, as I work nights. 3 days later supervisor calls me at work. I ask her to call me in the morning. 48 hours later and still no contact from a supervisor and still no A/C in the bedrooms. How am I to trust you when you won’t cover a valve on my air conditioning system? You also keep sending emails to refer friends. How can I refer friends when your company has left us to swelter in the heat? This A/C unit is only 6 years old. Your customer service is in a severe decline. My past experiences have been not been difficult. Very, very disappointed!!!

I am extremely upset with this experience! This is my first claim! At first it was denied! I called and explained that I was told when I initially signed up that my air conditioner would be covered. Since I explained to your sales person that ALL my other appliances were brand new I was only concerned my air conditioners. I was assured that other than a $75 service charge, my air conditioner would be fixed or replaced if needed! Based on this initial information, I joined and paid for one year.
When I called on 9/02/20 to report that my air conditioner was not functioning properly, I was once again assured that it would be fixed or replaced! Based on that assurance, I paid for another year of your service which extended my contract out until January 2022! When my only claim was denied, I spoke with a member of your customer support staff named Joseph (id#**). He reiterated some flimsy excuse as to why my air conditioner was not covered. Being not satisfied was his answer- which went completely against everything that I had been previously promised- I asked to speak to his supervisor. He assured me that I would receive a call by the end of the day!
While I was awaiting the call, I received an e-mail that the claim was approved. When I called your technician (Sam **), he informed me that no one in the city could do what had to be done for the money that was approved! At this point, I am anxiously awaiting for this issue to be resolved! Since you have approved my claim, the remaining dispute I feel is between you and your technician. Very pleased with service and especially with negotiations with replacement cost. They were very flexible on cost of replacement but you cannot base replacement cost on YOUR cost because you buy in bulk therefore you pay less than we the consumer does. Also Garage R Us is NOT a good repair choice. He tried to con us into a repair that the burned motor was hidden in the cost. Not good business practices !! For garage door repair. When you add up the monthly fee, the $60 service fee, the prorated value of your appliance and the cost of installation - what they offer is a pittance. We’ll be cancelling our warranty program and putting that money in a savings account. All of our appliances are over 10 years old and they will not replace any of them at near cost. This program is a joke and a waste of your money!

We had our washing machine stop working right in the middle of a load of laundry. We called Choice and told them what happened and they contacted a repair company. The appliance company came out and checked machine out and told us they would have to order the part to fix machine. It took 1 extra day for the part to come in, and we were in contact with the repair crew so we knew what was happening. They got the part and came earlier than expected and fixed the machine. If you need emergency service for an appliance or electrical unit. Find another company for your warranty. My AC unit went out on Friday evening and I did not get a repairman until Monday. I call them back and explain to them that it was a 105, 106, 106 respectively. All they did was reassign my case. I will not renew my home owners warranty with them!!! You've been warned.

I called today to inquire about the service. The person who assisted me. I can't tell you his name because he talked very fast. He explained the service in one minute or less. When I ask him to slow down so could understand he still proceeded to explain quickly. I have no confirmation email. I don't really know what I'm paying for. I called at 11:04 AM and spoke with Ronald ** regarding the purchase of a new home warranty policy. His presentation was rushed. The monthly payment of $47.50 was charged to my card before I fully realized what happened. During the call I had no time to think about any questions I may have; however, he was very keen on providing me information regarding the Senior Citizen special policy which totaled over $1,100.00.
I placed a second call to Choice Home Warranty to cancel the policy at 11:24 AM, and my call was transferred twice, and I disconnected from the call after holding for 55 minutes. The third call was placed at 12:31 PM, and after another extended hold, the person said "Hello, Choice Home Warranty" and before I could response, the person proceeded to end the call.
I called again at 1:11 PM and I am still holding to speak with someone regarding cancellation of this policy. I am disappointed with the customer service received. as this company only seems concerned with acquiring money from people and not actually servicing people. I am thoroughly disappointed with the poor service quality I have received from this company. Please ensure that this policy is cancelled ASAP and my $47.50 is returned to my bank account. If buying a home or considering a home warranty stay away from Choice Home Warranty. They run a scam and just want your money. If I could grade them any less I would. We have used them for over a year with no claims until recently. Our AC started blowing hot air last week so we contacted them to initiate a claim. They sent out Cortinas and Sons to check out our system. It was determined that the compressor was bad and was leaking freon. Choice denied the claim stating that the compressor was overheating and shorting out as well as throwing the circuit breaker to the unit. The breaker was never thrown nor did it ever need to be reset. We shut the system off to prevent the circulation of extremely hot air that was blowing throughout the house.
We had another AC company (We found them and contacted them ourselves.). Come out to check out the unit and his findings were that the compressor was indeed bad but it was not and did not ever overheat or trip the breaker. The report that the service technician left did not match the information provided to the warranty company. We disputed the refusal to cover the AC and were supposed to be contacted within 24 hours of the dispute. Amber V was the case manager assigned to us. I spoke with her this morning and no resolution other than the fact that this was not normal wear and tear. And they were not covering it. This system has been serviced twice a year since we bought the home. Unsure of how it was maintained prior. What's the point of the warranty if they don't cover repairs.
Upon further investigation it has been found that they have a poor record of paying their contractors for repairs as well when they do decide to cover the item. With that being said no wonder the contractors they use are subpar, no credible company would want to work for them. Their reviews on multiple websites as well as the BBB are horrible. Piss poor all the way around! Stay Away!

Let me tell you, 3 incident and all 3 were rejected. paid them for 2+ years and every claim was rejected. Want to cancel my service and that took 2 months (which they charged me for) then had to go thru my credit card company to dispute the charges.

Warranty is not good and have a emergency of no water in the house because well pump went out. No worries in a few days they will get someone out then will tell you, "Oh that’s not covered." Pay the $65 service fee and pay extra for well coverage and nothing basically is covered. I would think the regulator on/off switch would be a major part of a pump working and be covered but who am I. Just pay extra for no reason and of course two and half days later someone comes out. With three kids in the house and no water which me no bathrooms etc.... I would say would be a emergency guess not to Choice.

The Concept Renaissance Technician quickly analyzed the problem as a water heater leak. I am not pleased with the process required to have the tank replaced. The approval was within a few minutes, but the step after that seem to be redundant. I am now in the 3rd day with a leaking water heater and I still do not know when it will be replaced. Why? Please tell George Foreman not to tell people Choice Warranty will pay to repair or replace key systems in your home. That is false advertising.
Doesn't a repair of a water heater include the removal of the old tank, the necessary plumbing to connect the new tank, the pan under the tank required by code in some homes, etc.? Being charged $50.00 to take the old tank away is unconscionable and $85.00 for a plastic pan is equally as unconscionable. Oh, and there is a Home Depot and Lowe's 3 miles from my house; why buy the replacement from Ferguson Plumbing Supply? Ferguson is very expensive.

I did three loads of laundry and when I went into the hall bathroom I found that the bathtub was half full of dirty water and the shower in the master bath had run over the base. I called it in to Choice Home Warranty and relayed my problem, As of this day (2 days) no one has called be back.

I filed a claim for my air conditioner unit not getting cold. I was assigned a contractor 2 days later. The contractor scheduled an appointment but didn't call or show up the day of the appointment. I reached out to Choice to file a complaint. I finally got someone to answer after another 2 days. My claim finally got approval with me having a $425 out of pocket cost plus the $85 deductible. I reached out to Choice again for explanation but still haven't received a call back. In the meantime It's in the middle of August in Louisiana and my unit is still not repaired. I have paid all the out of pocket costs and the deductible but it's now September 1st and I still haven't received a call back from Choice. I have never been so frustrated in all my life. When my air went out in 118. I called you. After no help from you. I called every a/c person within many miles of us. NO ONE would take the call. NO ONE will deal with your company. Then you had excuses on why my repairman wouldn’t and couldn’t be paid by you. Now my garage door opener goes out. Find out you weasel out of ever repair With every excuse you can use. Does anyone get paid. You are a useless company that is ripping off all your customers. Know this complaint won’t do any good but my media post will!

Excellent Customer Service. The serviceman was on time. He serviced the air conditioner and explained what he was doing. I would recommend this service to others. This is a great company. Updated on 09/01/2020: Still waiting on a Repair for over a month. I’m trying to get a refund for the unused portion of my contract and immediately the customer service representative put me on hold each time I have called (in excess of one hour and twenty nine minutes). I was told since customer service is teleworking because of COVID no supervisor or manager are available to discuss my issue. Choice Warranty WILL NOT replace any of your appliances but WILL have you wait for months on repairs. Buyers BEWARE!
Original Review: After being without a refrigerator and oven for three plus weeks, the wrong parts were ordered. The refrigerator part came back however it’s still doesn’t cool. Choice needs a second option before replacing it. Still waiting on parts for oven. An entire month and no resolution in sight. This company is a ripoff! I’ve paid for the ENTIRE year upfront. I’ve requested a refund so I can choose a reputable company and now Choice Warranty is nonresponsive. BEWARE.

Compressor quit about 1 pm Sunday. Called CHW and told them the problem. Someone called me back and said I was scheduled between 3 and 8 Monday. Monday morning around 9 AM someone called and said they could be there in 30 min. The ac guy came out and fixed whatever the problem was and it's working fine. By 11 am he was gone and everything is working.

Great Tech. Quick Diagnosis. Our units have been making noise. Tim quickly found that they were low on gas. He understood the warranty and its coverage issues and gave me options on the repair. All of his answers made sense. Pricing was on par with industry standards. Had a game plan for future on maintenance. Would definitely call again! Reasonable rates and very honest and trustworthy.

So I was with another warranty company and Choice had a much better cost for a price. Before my AC tech started he asked if I would be ok with paying for the repairs became so for heating and plumbing. It was almost guaranteed to be denied. So the unit needed Freon. Hey not covered. He was asked where the leak was but the diagnostics would be tome and money that gives what. Are not covered. This is my third claim. The first 2 could not be fulfilled by Covid and because of the hoops that are lit on fire it is impossible to get an outside mechanic to submit for the claim that guess what. Would be denied. I was told that this is a great service for refrigerators and dishwasher but heating and cooling GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

It has became a challenge trying to reach CHW. Each time I had to wait for long and when someone finally got on the phone, most often I get mix messages. I wish that the information delivery are saved. For example, I had claims and the technician came, prior to the technician's arrival, CHW indicated I wouldn't be required to pay the $45 visit fee because CHW owed me $45. Sadly, the technician came and demand I must pay and it has to be in cash.

I submitted the claim on Saturday morning as an emergency, had flooding. I received a plumber early Monday morning! Had to travel 5 miles each way to use a pubic restroom. I just received the runaround from your service. I called a plumbing company that you use and they told me they could have been here on Sunday morning!

Person on the phone (Clarence) wasn't listening to what I was asking and sold me the wrong policy. Now it is impossible to talk to anyone at Choice to try to cancel what he did and reorder the right policy. Not impressed at all! I need someone to call me (fat chance) to make this right otherwise I will be calling the BBB and providing negative reviews at every opportunity.

Got up Sunday morning the A/C had gone out overnight. Went to Choice website and filed claim. Received an e-mail from choice stating the contractor would be at my house Monday morning between 7am and 11am. I was impressed. Then to my disbelief the A/C contractor showed up at my house a couple of hours later on Sunday. I did not have to suffer through a 100 degree day.

The assigned technician did not arrive as scheduled. I cancelled the appointment after it was rescheduled for the next day. I called a local plumber after cancelling and had a plumber at my house within 45 minutes and getting a new hot water heater installed today. Bottom line, I have been very disappointed with CHW. A good lesson in reading the fine print before purchasing a home warranty.

I filed my first claim on a Thursday evening, work was ultimately completed by the following Monday afternoon. I felt that given the nature of the problem, I would have received a quicker resolution. A plumbing back up with nasty smelling water sprayed throughout my laundry room was quite unpleasant. Unable to use kitchen or laundry plumbing while awaiting a response. Didn't much care for the email I received telling me that Choice was having a difficult time locating someone to do the work and that I was welcome to handle it myself and submit for reimbursement. For a first time claim, that did not leave me with any "warm/fuzzy" feeling.

We didn't have A/C in the house for several days. When the technician arrived, we were very relieved. He had a lot of trouble diagnosing the problem. He could have given up and said that the unit was not repairable. But, he didn't. He was persistent and kept looking for the root cause of the problem. With a little help from his supervisor by phone, he did identify the problem and fix it. He was polite and persistent in seeking a solution to the problem. He kept us informed all along the way as to what he was doing next. This is the second problem I've had with this unit in a year. Both times, it took the techs a long time to finally correct the problem. I'm beginning to think that the problem is with the unit.

I've been without AC since July 3rd. You were unable to find ANY company in the area that would jump through your ridiculous hoops so I had to. I was able to convince a local company to at least TRY to, but they were NEVER able to completely satisfy your never ending requirements...to which you kept ADDING to. You don't assign someone to my claim so when I do communicate with you I NEVER speak to, or get responses from the same person, and I'm often told completely different things. UNBELIEVABLE.

The repair on my air conditioner was quick and so appreciated. The repair person was knowledgeable, professional, and able to get to us a day earlier than anticipated. Feel like temps were 110 and I was scheduled for surgery the next day, so we were so Grateful that they were able to come early. As always the entire experience was very professional and helpful.

I was without a/c during the hard summer days without regard to my problem when they specifically advertise on tv that they cover all appliances, and it’s in the contract, can’t get repair, they only answer new customers new policies, it’s a shame that company doesn’t honor their contracts and I have to suffer because they don’t want to pay claims, every business has losses and they shouldn’t be different. Was very very pleased with the service I received from CHW. I was contacted immediately after filing a claim regarding my garage door opener not working. They sent a certified electrician, who contacted me the next day to set up an appointment to assess the claim. The electrician was very knowledgeable and replaced the opener in about an hour and a half. Very great experience.

Choice Home Warranty clearly says, "If we can't fix it, we will replace it." Lies, lies, lies, excuses one after another. Washer not working, repairman said it's too old and needs to be replaced. Choice said they would let me speak to a manager, no calls back. Countless days and nights waiting for someone to pick up or call back. Horrible experience. Then they offered me 300.00. What happened to "We will replace it." Again lies, lies, lies. I think I will sue Choice and George Foreman for advertising lies.

Considering all the delays with coronavirus, everything was handled extremely well. Burners are not igniting. You send service people out here that have never serviced Viking before. I don’t know how many times we have had to service this unit but it has been many times. Somebody should be looking at how much you are spending and realize you are beating a dead horse. I don’t know what the deal is with this stove but repairs don’t last. I have another year with you and you are probably going to spend another grand on it.

I was pleased with a Mr. Michael ** to whom I emphasized from the beginning that I have a severe hearing loss and would he please slow down and also speak up during our connection. Mr. ** was very cooperative about my requests, and he answered all my questions about your organization, its services, and the costs of becoming a customer. Naturally any rep would be anxious to make a sale, but I never felt that this gentleman was being "pushy" or going over a line of common courtesy. I ended up accepting the offer of the charges, and all was done without any "haggling." Called Choice on Saturday and talked with claim specialist and told that another Technician will come fix AC without Paying again. I purchased a warranty from Choice Home Warranty of $1187. I submitted a request for a malfunctioning AC and they approved only %40 of the cost of the repair. Now I have a nonworking unit in July/August after paying for what I was told was a premium 'bumber to bumber' kind of warranty. I then called around to ask my neighbors what warranty company they had and 5 neighbors told me they dropped CHW because they do not cover the claims and do not stand behind the product!
When you purchase a warranty with good money in good faith you never expect-especially during a pandemic-that the warranty company will give you bill of $2287.06! The worse possible thing is I went back and fourth for three weeks to ask to be explained verbally and in writing why they were only paying $1731.23 and asking me to pay the lion's share of an additional $2287.06--they told me they would not explain nor write a reason. I asked for it to be escalated and was told by the case manager SW that no one in the entire company would explain it to me either. I have a person in my home who is elderly and disabled and was horribly uncomfortable in July/August. I don't know about you guys but nobody can ask me for almost $2300 and not explain to me why I am paying it.
Long story short, they told me to pay the money or the unit would not be completely fixed. I would categorize them as a horrible company. You will be left out to dry with the warranty and when you call to complain or speak to someone you will be put on hold on an average 25 to 1 hour 40 minutes being the longest for me. I would never, ever recommend them to anyone. My advice? From a person who works in Sales and Customer Service I appreciate when a company takes care of me. It feels like I was lied to, sold one thing and received another. After reaching out to (7) people, writing a letter to the CEO and filing a complaint with the BBB I have yet to have a resolution to my issues with Choice Home Warranty. The contract says they will cover something and they won't. If you ever receive a promotion or email from them please run or be ready to run the risk of being scammed like I was and pay for a product they will not stand behind.

A/C was not cooling. Referral A/C Repair company contacted me and told me they would come and see what the problem was on Tuesday Sept 1. Later on, they call me and told me that they had an opening on Sunday 30 Aug. Repair person was here at 1 PM Sunday and found the problem to be a Bad Capacitor. Replaced it with new one and had the system running within 30 Minutes. A/C continues to run OK.

I was only disappointed in that I left my phone number to call back and no one did. When I called back later, I was helped very much by a very nice woman. The woman was very competent and got the claim completed quickly with no issues.

Choice Warranty handled my claim promptly. They got in touch with Mr. Smith’s Home Repair. They were out here at the next day. They unclogged my kitchen drain, took them about an hour and a half on 100° day. Great service.

This has been the most amazing experience I have ever had. This company is wonderful. I wish they had health insurance for people, not just for the house. They were so easy to work with. I just couldn’t ask a company for any better treatment!!!
