    I unfortunately have had the worst experience on both of these claims! You take way too long, especially in dangerous situations, meaning air conditioning in high heat states. Someday you will have an occurrence, if you haven't already, where this will happen, someone may die!. I for one will never again purchase CHW for home warranty and will share it with everyone I know. You folks are bad, no concern for customers, even though you claim to. Things Wear out, as your ad says, nothing lasts forever, but apparently this saying is not something you believe in, only false claims. You keep denying my claims cause if it breaks down, that is not normal wear and tear, per your people! If you're concerned with my problems, please call me! If I don't hear from you, I was right!

    I own a half-dozen multi-unit rental properties, two of which CHOICE HW has the coverage (fortunately not for much longer). Over the past 2-3 yrs I've had claims for these two apartment units. I've had nothing but headaches and aggravation from your so-called claims managers. Extreme & unexplained delays, stalling to get the repairs completed, refusing to be accessible and having to always leave a message. I'm telling everyone I come into contact with that CHOICE HW is a sham business. Y'all deserve more class-action lawsuits like the Arizona AG's action. Good luck.

    I felt the technician that came to my house was very helpful and provided us the information we needed. It was determined that my washer needed replaced and that’s where the breakdown began. I was given a first cash settlement of $350. I declined it and was then given another bid of $500. I was told there was nothing else they could do. I stated that The cheapest front loading machine was 625. I was told, "We don’t do retail" and usually they have machines available but couldn’t do that at this time. So I have to add money to the settlement to get a less comparable machine and you are still charging me $45 a month for insurance. I believe that is false advertisement. I feel I didn’t get treated fairly at all. Again the technician that came to the house was good!!

    Our Maytag clothes washer quit operating correctly. We called CHW who sent a Sears repairman 5 days later. He found the trouble but could not contact CHW to pass the information. Over a week later, we called CHW inquiring about a fix. Nothing known, but another repairman was dispatched another week later. After the information was given to CHW, nothing was heard for another 2 weeks. We received an email advising repair was not possible and we were offered $349.99 to replace it. I refused offer advising we could not find a Maytag for anything near that amount. A week later we received an email from a "Case Manager" requesting we contact her. I tried several times each day calling and email for a week and a half before we got a call back. She raised the offer to $400 which we accepted and had to spend $699 to replace our washer. POOR. POOR. POOR. We may look for another company when the contract expires.

    Hello, we have two accounts. Both in areas of low population. It is not easy to find repair persons. Sometimes we wait 4 days then get email to go ahead and find our own repair person.     My AC stopped working late afternoon on Labor Day. I filed a claim and the next morning I was assigned to a AC company. They come out a few hours later and say it's the compressor. So far so good! Now he says he has to send the claim for approval, what approval? Guy leaves, says, "I'll be back later today or call to let you know when I'll be back tomorrow to repair the unit." No biggie, claim is approved. Email says my part to pay is 500 even though it says part and labor is being be paid for. What else is there to be paid if those two things are being paid for? 6pm comes and no contact from AC company.

    I call and he says, "Choice buys the part and send it to us. Could be a few days or a few weeks before repair is made." I call Choice and told part will be here three days from now and they will come out to repair the unit. Ok, it's low 90s here with 90% humidity and I have no air. What exactly is the point of this warranty? I'm almost 600 out of pocket and have to wait days for a repair. Not happy.

    Maybe I should wait 9 weeks to fill this out--that is how long it took to get my refrigerator fixed--I hired the people--Gliedt--I give them a 10 and give you guys a zero. My refrigerator had the 2nd most common breakage--making loud noises and leaking--needed a new fan and a replacement of the parts in the middle. You sent Sears--they merely added insulation. Not only did the door not open the next day, it made the same noise. Took 4 weeks for you sent someone else (no one here wants to work for you). The Appliance Guy came, the minute he put his name in the claim, he was wiped out.

    Both he and I called every day at least twice --all you guys did were put us on hold-for hours-nothing. When you finally called the Appliance Guy on Sat am--9 days later you were very rude to him. My refrigerator would not hold fresh milk for more than a few days. We had to throw out tons of food. You also took off $60 from what you supposedly reimburse us--cuz it is in the rule book. Is it in the rule book that is okay to wait 9 days before you call the repair person back or the customer? I am a 72 year old cancer survivor--miracle I survived you guys. What you guys did was unethical, awful and bad.

    I called about above and was immediately asked if I wanted to extend my warranty for 3 years. When I talked with claims dept they wanted to send technician to see if needed replacement. I was told by another person when I called to see if Choice would replace furnace and air; she told me to get estimates. I did. My technician from furnace company just serviced the above. They ask every year for last 3-5 years when I am replacing them as they work at 75% capacity. I am very frustrated with Choice. I've only used it once in last 2 1/2 yrs and that also was problematic.     I have had problems with my Samsung refrigerator ice maker not working. CHW had sent out a tech 3-4 times who kept ordering parts which would make the ice maker work for a little while but then would eventually quit. This last time, the same tech came out and said a whole new system would have to be installed. I argued with CHW about this and they finally agreed to it. The repair tech's company never got back in touch with me. I kept calling for updates and was told the parts were on order. That lasted about 4 months. I called CHW and they contacted the tech who said they would reorder the parts.

    Another 2 weeks go by and I try calling the repair tech company who will not return my calls. I contact CHW who tries to contact the tech company and does not get any better response. By now I am extremely upset and frustrated as I have been buying bags of ice at the grocery store every couple of days. I ask to speak to a supervisor. CHW apologizes and said they will get a new tech out asap. The new tech sets up an appointment within a couple of days, for which I have to take off time from work - again.

    This tech seems to really know what is wrong and how to repair this Samsung icemaker. He orders the parts while he is at my house and it is all approved from CHW while he is there! Thank goodness! AND, I have a date already scheduled for the tech to come back out and install the replacement parts. That's what should have happened in the first place!!!     I have used this company for many years on my primary residence and rentals. They used to be great but the last 3 years they are horrible and a scam. I live in Arizona and every year our AC goes out on one of the properties. One year they sent a AC company that said the item they needed to repair was not covered by the warranty. I then had another company go look before I had the vendor they assigned to do the work at the quoted price of $1500. The company I sent said the unit was not in the power supply and got it running again saving me $1500. I let them know what their vendor tried to do and they didn't care.

    This year my AC unit on another property went out. We have had over 110 degree weather. The vendor was sent out two days after the claim. They found the issue and let the Choice know the problem. The next day, a Friday of the Holiday weekend of 115 degree temps Choice Warranty then said we need them to go back out and take more pictures to determine if it is covered or not. They send the pictures and when I call Choice to see if they are going to cover or not they said yes it is approved. I said why was I not notified yet that is was approved. They said the approval was sent yesterday, I disagreed and said please send me the approval again. The girl on the phone forwarded me the approval. They said the company they originally sent out cannot complete the work and that a new AC company had been assigned.

    I called them Friday night and they said, "Hey it's a Holiday weekend and we are super busy. Won't get to you until later next week." I call the following Monday and that company did not pick up due to the Holiday so I called Choice again. They said oh this has not been approved for repair yet. I told them the person I spoke to Friday said it was and they had me forward the email. The email was dated for 2019 so she sent me an approval for the prior year. They said they did not have a company to do the work at this time.

    We are now a week without any resolve, a displaced renter that I have to pay hotel fees for and now have to just go outside of Choice because they are taking forever to even say if it is ok to fix or not. I will now be without ac for an additional week along with my renter being out of her home for two weeks with hotel fee I am assuming. They have no apologies for their mistakes. I would have canceled all of my policies but I am locked in to a contract. I am not sure what has happened but I have referred many to this company when they were good. Now they are horrible!!!

    The account manager Sylvanna ** was extremely unhelpful, as well as an extremely unpleasant person. I could hear her frown over the phone and her complete lack of sincerity which translated to her not even attempting to adequately resolve my claim. She kept repeating the same information over and over rather than try to answer my questions, which is exasperating when I couldn't get her to clearly explain why at least the left hand burner was being denied coverage. The cook top was cracked on the right side, separated by a vent that almost cuts off the other side, which doesn't make any sense how the crack would get water to the other side, nor that there was even water spilled on the crack at all. I wasn't aware of it so how was the technician at your home office?

    I am going on a quest to tell as many people as I can on as many platforms, forums and methods as I can about the abysmal customer service and unethical claim denials of Choice Home Warranty. I have absolutely nothing good to say about your company. It was a huge mistake to use you--I was foolish enough to go after the cheap price, but cheap coverage (rather non existent) is what I received.     This is the first time I ever had a Home Warranty and the first time I made any claim. Overall my experience was a very positive one. The first time I called the agent was very professional and courteous. One plumber was scheduled within 24 hours but after accepting, declined to come over. My only complaint is that the 24 hour clock restarts from that point. They couldn’t get anyone and thus gave me the option to hire my own plumber and they would reimburse. Fortunately they found someone for a visit (Friday vs Wednesday) and completed the repairs very well. The plumber who came over was very professional and cleaned up after fixing the issue.
