Electrician was clearly unqualified to fix what should have been a simple replacement of Outdoor electric socket. One plug was obscured, casing did not match exterior of house, and with cover open, you could see and touch wiring, so clearly not safe.

I am very disappointed that I called regarding my water heater leaking and the service rep didn't check my account to see if that was covered, so a service company was dispatched and they determined that it was not fixable and after I paid the service fee Choice declined to fix it. I can't believe water heaters are not covered, I believe it said they were on the advertisement. I now doubt I made the right decision signing up with choice if such a simple item was not included. I feel I will face problems any time I call.

Renewal of services ending 08/23/2024 on 10/25/2020. Warren ** called after an email was sent to see if we wanted to renew our contract. Decided to do so and renewed with a credit card. Was pleased with the discount extended to us.

ASAP garage door openers was chosen to do our repair on our garage door opener. I never had a better experience with a company. The serviceman was very professional and friendly. He listened to my concerns and addressed the issues. He worked efficiently and showed me the problem and the solution. I would definitely recommend Choice Home Warranty and ASAP garage door repairs to my friends.

Problem with the dryer was reported more than 3 weeks ago. Several technicians were assigned to my repair but two never showed up. When I contacted Choice regarding this, customer reps were very cold and disrespectful. Finally when the tech finally came, he had to file his report. It was determined the dryer should be replaced. Please tell me where I can find a dryer for $299, because that is the amount of money they offered me to replace the dryer. What a rip off!

Finding a technician was a challenge. I found one, but had to get a Supervisor to help me figure out my steps. We seached for over 8 days. That's along time to be without running water. Thank you to the Supervisor who saved the day.

Refrigerator ice maker went out. Called Choice and within a day we had an appointment set. New ice maker had to be ordered and within a week the ice maker was replaced. Repairman kept us updated and came out at our convenience.

It never fails. When something dies it is always midnight around here.. Call CHW to get my dryer fix. It was only few days before someone could come out to fix.. Well it is nice to have my dryer back & running.

Technician came in and replaced my garbage disposal. He came during the time he was supposed to be here and he made sure that he had PPE on. His name was Caesar and he was extremely nice and was very neat.

If a motor isn't found we will get money to purchase a new one BASED ON DEPRECIATION?? It's 19 yrs old!! How much longer do we have to wait?? Ridiculous. After depreciation what deal is that?? Add the monthly cost for the plan & a new one will be pretty expensive.

The repairman was out very quickly and knew immediately what the problem was. He explained the problem and that as soon as the parts were received, he would be back to install. He always contacts us directly to give us a time within a half hour of his arrival. Very polite, professional, prompt, and knowledgeable.

The plumber diagnosed the problem immediately. Other people we had in were unable to properly diagnose what was causing it. Within a half hour, it was all fixed. Plumber was very friendly and communicative. Very satisfied with the service and the entire process.

Updated on 12/09/2020: I was with Choice Home Warranty for 2-3 years and when my water heater went out, they refused to replace due to corrosion and rust. Well the corrosion and rust was only at the top of the water heater where the connections are, the tank was not rusted at all, and the water heater was 11 years old. I was very disappointed and after 3 days of the go around, I was offered $100!!!! I just canceled my plan. So beware if your water heater has rust or corrosion, or both, because you will be out of luck and $800.
Original Review: I am very disappointed that my water heater replacement has been denied by Choice. The service technician told me that my water heater needed to be replaced. I have been with Choice for 3 years and paid up till 10/26/23. I have also referred friends to Choice. At this time I am waiting a return call from case manager. I left a voice message this morning (10/27/20) and still waiting for a call back. Service???? The service technician called before coming and was on time, I was very pleased with his service.

Everyone was very polite from the call center that handles the claims to the technician. The tech looked at all of the parts from the thermostat in the house to the blower and the unit outside. He fixed everything that was wrong and actually showed up 5 days earlier than the original appointment day and time. All around pleased!

I purchased the Choice Home Warranty. My furnace broke and I called for service. The claim was refused, said the part wasn't covered because it didn't cost enough. Strange? I'm 71, and disabled, living in northeast Ohio, need heat. On a fixed income money is tight. Going to cost around $380, to have someone else to come and repair, because they won't do what I've been paying them for.

The technician from Reliable was skilled and polite. He was very thorough, and looked all at the components. As he did so, he explained to us what he was checking. He discovered that a malfunction in the ice maker was probable cause for freezer and refrigerator malfunction. He also was conscious of being tidy.

AC went out on the 19th, still not repaired. Getting the run around from the contractor Texas A/C &Heat along with Choice. As of today, issue not resolved. Monthly payments are current and on time and co-payment paid but still no service... This is unacceptable. Not satisfied at all!

Refrigerator went out Oct.12th. Was the 26th before someone was sent to fix it. Two things were wrong but the technician was only allowed to fix 1. Now there will be problems later because the other thing was not fixed. Your people said it was a pre existing condition. What a bunch of crap. Am reporting you to Better Business Bureau and am getting an attorney to take action against you.

Choice did not follow up to ensure vendor received work order. If I had not pursued this claim, it would still be unfulfilled. We would still be without a/c. Where is my commission for doing Choice's job?

It was decided that my appliance needed to be replaced and not repaired. The buyout option was ridiculously low, I declined the cashout offer. My customer service rep reached out to me and was not very helpful and a new offer was presented. This offer was still very low for a "replacement" offer. I told her I needed to research my policy. I received the email with no further direction than to accept the cashout offer. Not happy with the final outcome.

Nice salesperson. Explained coverages. Easy to understand. Very helpful and gave me great rate on new policy. Coverage is comparable to my current HSA plan. Lower deductible than current policy also. Looked up rating on-line and was rated highly. Worth checking out.

Very Good Service for homes. Professional staff who respond to your call. The only thing of concern is the 24hr turn around time. When your fridge is broken you need help right away. Otherwise you lose all the groceries. It becomes costly. Or if your washroom is clogged. The plumber will come within 24hrs and collect the deductible. Then he doesn't show up for another 2-3 weeks. There is no follow up from Choice if the order was completed or not.

Backup from drain at washing machine. Plumbers came on time, were professional and managed to remove sheetrock from behind the washing machine, repair the leak all in a very reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend Choice and the plumber. I have had two different warranty companies in the past and feel that I have made a great Choice!

The technician who came to my home showed up at the beginning of the expected window which was awesome and fixed my issue quickly and efficiently. Tech came earlier than expected (which I was glad about). Very polite, went to work right away to find the problem. Told me someone would contact me about repairs very soon. When I called Choice Home that I had an issue with my dishwasher they got someone right away scheduled to come to my home.

My refrigerator is on the brink of dying, I had to chose my repair technician as "due to covid" here is the process. The technician was awesome, Willis Appliance Repair in Carteret County, NC. The diagnosis for my refrigerator was that it was going to live for a few more weeks and they could not order parts for it, it was too old. I asked the technician to fill out the repair report to indicate that the refrigerator needs to be replaced. I paid the technician and now on the search for a new one. Choice only gave me $700 towards a new one. Buyers beware and read all the fine print.

Tron from Casual Appliances first helped me diagnose possible problems remotely. Then came the next business day. First tried to clean and fix problem before deciding that parts were beyond saving. He worked quickly and didn’t make or leave any mess.

Within hours after making a claim online I had a response with a date and time for the repair. I had to adjust the arrive time, Chin from LK Appliance worked it out. He arrived on time, explained the process. Perfect from start to finish.

Absolutely the WORST! Just unbelievable how totally inept and misleading this company is! I have already paid for two service calls and nothing has been repaired. The company says the technician must provide more information and the technician says that CHW has to review and approve. And then reopen the "ticket"/work order. One department says one thing and another department says the opposite. CHW says that my leaking kitchen faucet is not covered! I was not told this when I originally phoned in the repair request. HOW CAN A FAUCET NOT BE PART OF PLUMBING!!! This took almost a month of phone calls, emails and rescheduled service calls to discover this absurdity. The HVAC repair has had several appointments that CHW or the service provider has either changed at the last minute or just did not show up for the appointment at all. This company should not be in business.

Screws to motor came loose...Service man tightened them down & noise ceased...Thought system was close to 20 years old, but it was a 2008 Rheem package system HVAC on downstairs system...Upstairs unit replaced in 2016...Same company & make Rheem from Bob & Ed’s Heat & Air... Also all new ductwork upstairs....B&E have been our providers since late ‘70’s.

Technician scheduled for 11-3 for 10-26. Did not call and did not answer three calls to check on arrival time. I contacted Choice. The person contacted tech who said he had wrong date down, would come 10-27 and would call me. He did not call me so I cancelled after waiting several hours. I have purchased a new system. I'm not unhappy with Choice but this tech is not reliable in my experience.

I have florescent lights in baluster that started frying out the 4 feet bulbs. The company called and I explained my problem. The worker said a time that they would be at my residence and they were. Both workers had masks and protective shoe coverings. They had the ladder with them. Pleasantly got to work. They redid the wiring and explained to me they are replacing with led. Better light. Cost effective. Last indefinitely. They were done with both light fixtures in a half hour. And said have a nice day. I would definitely recommend this company.

I filed a claim with your company on my heating unit which had a cracked heat exchanger. I was pleased with the team that came out to check it, however when I found out that my claim had been denied, I was not happy. You stated that you were not responsible for damage due to malfunction or improper operation due to rust or corrosion. This unit is almost 18 years old, and I live in the south with high heat and humidity. My service tech states that most units last only 10-12 years at most and mine is much older. If feel that there has been no improper operation - just age. At this point in time, I will not be recommending your warranty company to anyone.

My recent experience w/ Choice Warranty and w/ my CHW Technician was excellent! When my washing machine wouldn't drain, I was forced to call in my 1st claim. From the representative that took my call to Joe, my technician, service was impeccable! Joe repaired my washer quickly and was kind and professional.

Service appointment was confirmed within a couple hours of my Sunday call for the next day. Customer service very quickly ironed out an issue with the correct service address. I have warranties for two properties and submitted the request form the wrong one. Tech arrived, determined the problem, ordered the part and made an appointment for install within two days. I do wish he wore a mask.

When I called in to set up my account I spoke to Trish. She was very friendly and did a great job. The only problem I had was at the end I was not understanding what she was telling me to do. Then she just told me to watch my e mail.

I was provided answers to all my questions prior to agreeing to select Choice Home Warranty for my home warranty. When I received the written policy it was completely different from almost everything I was told. Very misleading and deceitful!! I was basically lied to about what the policy covers. They told me they cover up to $1500 for any repair or replacement and they are the only company that offers this as others have a 9.1.2 clause/selective warranty stating they pay a max of $150/repair/appliance. They sold me on their coverage just to find out it was all a lie! I was also told my quote for my annual premium is locked in for life as well as my service fee. Under common questions there’s a question, “Can I renew each year?” The response is “yes it may be renewable and you will be notified of the prevailing rate.”
They also tell you you have a full 30 day money back guarantee which is nice right? I get the policy and find out there’s a 30 day waiting period. There is no coverage for the first 30 days. Of course they don’t tell you that! I was interested in septic system coverage. I was told they pay for tank replacement, tank line, pump, etc - everything except cosmetic. They even told me “coverage includes septic pumping once every year which is a great benefit because a tank pumping is $300-400 annually.” Well, they were right about the cost of tank pumping but I don’t see the coverage they claimed. I could go on and on as I talked to the agent for about an hour but you get the idea.

Dryer would not heat and dry clothes. Replaced heating element and suggested I get the vent cleaned. I had it cleaned out and I am very glad I did as there lots of lint in there which was a fire hazard.

Just renewed my policy and coverage. The representative was real helpful and explained everything I needed to know in a short time. Best thing is "I could understand him very well." He was very patient and understanding when I told him that I could never claim for my air conditioner, because there is no service in my area. Choice Warranty takes way too long to return calls or emails. So that won't work when it is 105 degrees!!

I am very disappointed in your exclusion of attic fans as part of your ultimate home warranty option. My house fan/attic fan is part of the AC cooling option/system of the house and you are not covering the repairing because that type of fan is excluded. A system that actually cools the house. You should absolutely include this as an item to be excluded instead of implying that you cover 15 main systems in the house and exclude an attic fan/house fan. Very disappointed and will be sharing with others that this is not covered.

This was the worst experience ever! I took a chance with this company even after looking at the reviews because they seemed to have the best coverage. However, first time filing a claim and they found denied my claim. What made it even worse was the fact that they denied the claim based on one thing then when proven wrong they came up with a totally different reason. Basically seeking any means not to pay for my water heater. At least if they would have denied it for the 2nd reason the first time and could have moved on and had hot water much sooner. Overall policy states Hot Water Heaters are covered but that is not the case----read fine print, as it is only pieces of the water heater making their overall policy a lie and falsely giving the idea they cover the Hot Water heater. Just a scam to get people's money and then not cover ya....my fault as I should have listened to all others who stated this company doesn't pay... Wasted my money!

I am giving 3 stars because although I am disappointed at how our situation turned out, I also can understand Choice Warranty's position. Though not elated about the outcome, I am content with the decision they made regarding our furnace. Our furnace was operating loudly and not pushing out much heat. Upon inspection by a a Choice Warranty service provider (who was AWESOME by the way--timely, good communication, helpful, knowledgeable, etc.) it was determined by the technician that the unit needed to be replaced and full replacement was requested. The technician also told our tenants not to run the unit because it wasn't safe, so they stopped using it.
Because of this recommendation and the overall poor condition of the unit, I thought Choice Warranty would replace the unit with no question. Thus, when they denied coverage for full replacement, I was very disappointed and frustrated. However, I could understand their reasoning. The two main components that were having issues were the blower and the heat exchanger. The blower, they agreed to replace. However, the heat exchanger wasn't working primarily due to corrosion and corrosion is not something they cover. (As with any insurance agency, there is lots of fine print on what is or isn't covered, so make sure you look through that before purchasing a policy!) Because part of the issue was an item they didn't cover, they did not feel it necessary to pay for full replacement. The cost of our new furnace was $2,265. They ended up giving us a $600 credit toward this cost, which was basically $400 to cover the blower motor and a bit extra.
Given the overall poor condition of the furnace and the fact that a new blower motor really wouldn't have helped all the problems, I still feel Choice Warranty should have covered their max replacement payout (which I believe is $1,500). Had they done that I would have gladly given 5 stars and recommended them to other users with enthusiasm. However, I will now only recommend them with lots of reservations. I have had other experiences with this company that have been good and I enjoy the convenience of calling them for repairs instead of having to find someone to come out, so I still feel the home warranty is worth having.

Tech checked AC in my attic and found coil bad. Was informed you do not cover coil because of contaminated air. It is dry and clean no contamination. I don't agree with this decision. The outside coil I understand, but not the inside. I will not be recommend your service to anyone.

UPDATED 10/26/2020: So after writing a previous review on the company Choice Home Warranty I tried to reach out to them but have been unable to at this point it's really a challenge trying to speak to someone over the phone concerning my claim I am really, really, really upset had I known I would go through this trying to file a claim and get action taken upon it I would never have chosen Choice Home Warranty so to all you consumers out there looking for a warranty company please do not choose Choice Home Warranty, I just feel like the company doesn't care about the consumer even though part of their slogan is the safety of your family comes first.

My repair for a leaky pipe in the crawl space of my rental property was denied based on the report of the 3rd party technician CHW sent out. That repairman was not a licensed plumber and was not even an employee of the company CHW contracts with. Basically CHW hired a subcontractor who hired a subcontractor. The subcontractor of the subcontractor who is not a licensed plumber basically gives me 3 options:
2) I can pay him via CashApp personally to do it for less
3) He can turn the water back on and leave the pipe leaking and damage the crawl space
I tried to appeal the decision. CHW had terrible customer service where they assign you to a case manager and that person has to contact you to get you off their list. So each time I would raise a concern she would just call to document she called but really wouldn't be able to help. Overall, I had low expectations of CHW but somehow they managed to fail to meet even those expectations.

The drum doesn't turn, so clothes can't dry. You could hear it running but when you opened the door you could tell the drum wasn't turning. After repairman came & left I tried it. Still nothing. I took most of the clothes out & tried it, it worked.

I have had CHW for over a year, I have never missed a payment. I called because I have no heat, a Tech was sent out from Legacy Services. He checked my furnace and he told me I need a new furnace. 2 days later I get a email stating that I need a gas valve and another part and neither are covered, I called Legacy and they recommended replacement.

Technician did not come. There was a dispute with the amount CHW was going to pay him. I got the furnace fixed myself. Turns out CHW cannot find contractors to work for them in this area. Contractors claim too many hoops to jump through and CHW does not pay for any claims.

You’re a scam.. You don’t cover what you say and you don’t fix what you say you will.. Basically people feed you money and you find a way to get out of fixing anything.. I think most customers get this because they can’t afford most repairs on their own.. But with your policy they end up paying for everything anyway.. And you pay a service fee for something you say you’re not covering.. You should be reported to the BBB for stealing money from consumers.

I entered an order on Sunday and the serviceman came on Friday. The manager I spoke with took a long time to respond. She said I would get an e-mail and phone call to notify me of the appointment. I did not get either. I had to call her back to get the information. She said if I did not like the day or time, I could call the service co. and reschedule. I feel the time and service took too long. Also, your service by the manager was slow and not efficient.

Technician was great, CHW is terrible with claims and covering service. Have been going round and round trying to get the part covered because won't believe water heater is out of warranty because it was a replacement water heater. Have had problems with a previous set of claims that you couldn't provide a tech for, Was not compensated properly for my 2 other claims for my refrigerators. Very unsatisfied.

This company is just a money trap!!! I have put in 2 claims since I have moved into my house and neither claim was approve. My AC unit was freezing and making a loud noise up and leaked water all over the floor. They denied my claim. I had to pay their service fee plus purchase a new unit and have my floors replaced. Then my shower was leaking. Paid for service for them to just look at the shower. It was 65.00 and they said the tile was loose in the shower. But they won't replace the tile. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Unfortunately I am stuck with them for a year. A waste of money going with this company. They don't deserve 5 stars and really not the 1 star I gave them. P.S. The Customer service Rep that I spoke with was inconsiderate of my needs and concerns. I placed a claim over a month ago and my issue has still not been resolved although it is still in the process. I am told that my clothes dryer should be repaired in another week. My only dilemma is we have a very large family which produces a lot of laundry and needs to be dried. Because we are in a pandemic I don’t feel comfortable going to a laundry mat to dry my clothes. I guess my greatest frustration is I’ve had so many cancellations that I kinda lost hope.

Not happy coverage. I had A very good microwave. When you sold coverage you'll said it would cover what we had. First offer was very low. Second meet me halfway. So now I have to purchase cheaper microwave plus pay my policy. Seems like every time company makes all these excuses to pay. My Microwave is about $800 to 1200. I only got $399. Only because I disputed it. I will be shopping for a better warranty coverage co.

One of our units blew a circuit switch. Unit not cooling. Our tech Marco was very courteous and professional and used Covid - 19 safety measures as required. Fixed the unit very quickly. I am very pleased with the work he did and the quick response from the time I posted my claim.

We had the worst experience ever in covering our ice machine that was worth over $2.7k in value - this machine needed to be replaced after we had our own technician look at it and even Choice Home Warranty had their two people look at it. Working with Yvette ** - took forever and communication was the worst where we tried multiple phone calls and emails to reach her - she kept using the excuse of Covid and being overwhelmed - then HIRE more people Choice Home Warranty. Yvette was not responsive enough and couldn't even provide timely communication. The fact that Choice initially offered $300 to replace our unit and then finally $489 is pathetic and doesn't even pay for a replaced unit worth $2,700.
I'm leaving Choice Home Warranty - I'm NEVER ever going to work with this company again and will tell everyone I know to never get a warranty with your company. The fact that you are unwilling to fix my unit or replace it at retail value so we can have a new machine is ** and your company is the worst - your ratings on Google are false and extremely misleading. You definitely under delivered and proved why your warranty company is the worst.

The technician told us the furnace heater is bad & needs to be replaced. Every time it sent the Choice, 100% automatically declined! Why should people buy home warranty from Choice? Isn’t a scam! Why would you not following technician’s report when you hired them to do the job?

CHW was unable to locate a contractor to repair/replace a ceiling fan; however, they were quick to notify me of this and offer an option for me to hire a contractor. The process was simple and approved within minutes of the contractor's diagnosis. Had CHW authorized a true replacement fan, rather than basic grade (about $100 difference) the experience would warrant 5 stars.

We put in a claim on Saturday and a technician was there on Sunday to assess the problem. He had to order a part and gave us an estimated time he would return for repair and he was back in that time frame. He did a good job fixing the fridge and also remembered we have a baby, so didn’t ring the doorbell when he came back. It’s the little things!

My furnace does not work. I have no heat for my house with the cold weather’s arriving and I can’t get my furnace fixed because it is wiring. I could get a whole new furnace but can not get a $10 wire installed. And because of my financial situation I can’t afford it and still had to pay $65. Thanks for nothing.

I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to find out my faucet wasn't covered under CHW. The technician was wonderful and very nice. I would recommend him to anyone. However, CHW not covering my faucet due to Rust and Corrosion was ehhhh. Not good. What else do faucets do except rust and corrode??? How would they ever be covered if they fail???? They will almost ALWAYS have rust and corrosion...

One week wait for repairman, had to go buy a new Fridge as everything would have spoiled and been an additional $400 loss. Upon arriving it was determined that the compressor was bad, but he had one in the truck so he would go ahead and fix it. 10 minutes later he say the claim was rejected with no explanation. I get an Email later that day saying the 11 year old Fridge is still under warranty so they won't repair. Sears say warranty ran out 5 years ago. Typical Home Warranty rip off.

I have had Choice Home Warranty for about 2 years. I live in a newly constructed home. My furnace stop working in April. They sent a technician out. It never got fixed. It began to get warm. We get to fall and turn the heat on again. It doesn't work. They sent out another technician. It took a week for him to come out. He never fixed it. I called again, he came back out a week and half later. Still not fix. Choice says they're not fixing it because it's not covered in my warranty. I have a full warranty. I had to pay the service fee each time. Now I'm stuck with a broken furnace. I had to constantly call Choice to get an answer. They have me the complete run around. Even the technician didn't do his job. This is not a good company to deal with. Do not waste your time or money.

The plumber was good. The warranty rep. was lacking. She could have told me that the repair would not be covered when I told her I broke it trying to fix a leak. Very simple. wasted my time, and $65 service fee, I could have put toward the repair I am already paying for. I am still learning about what may be covered and what is not. That is on me. Thanks.

My fridge got deemed and they offered me $390 for a side by side refrigerator. I am not sure where one can find a fridge (similar or like to like) for that price. I am pretty sure you cannot get any refrigerator for that price. After going back and forth, they approved $710 for replacement. Again, you cannot find one side by side refrigerator with water and ice dispenser like we have for that price. I asked to just have Choice replace it with similar product regardless of brand and they do not have that option either. No wonder they do not have the option because you cannot find one at the price they were offering. I feel the warranty did not deliver what they should have done (replace unit or provide adequate money to replace with one similar unit). The cheapest one available anywhere was around $989, so almost $300 short. Not going to renew my warranty anymore with choice.

CHW only offered a portion amount of item, they did not cover a built in Microwave, they offer a countertop Microwave cost, It means this is not what I need and I cannot use counter top Microwave in my Kitchen. CHW declined my claim for Attic duct box issue, they said it was from past but a year ago when buying the house, inspector was my friend and he was in attic, there was no visual problem. I think staying with CHW is wasting the time and Money. It is a 50 percent Home Warranty.

Choice Home Warranty sent out an unqualified contractor who was not able to address my warranty claim because they did not have the knowledge to fix the issue. The contractor even stated "he was not qualified to fix the issue". I was then charged a warranty deductible and told by Choice Home Warranty that my issue was a pre-existing condition and that my issue would not be addressed. The fact that I paid a deductible to an unqualified contractor is bad business and the fact that my issue is not being addressed is also bad business. Highly unsatisfied with Choice Home Warranty.

I am 76 years old. I am in house and it is 15+. years old. It was in July and it was very hot and one of my friends had an AC failure and he told me about his warranty company that replaced the unit. I did some research and I spoke with the salesperson at length.. He said they were the #1 Warranty company (I even recorded some of the conversation.). I told him I was concerned about the AC failing and he assured me that it would be covered. My AC worked fine during the very hot (in the 90's and high humidity) July and August period. Early in September it stopped working. I called to make a claim and I was told that they would send a repair guy in a few days. After 3 days without AC I called and they said due to Covid19 they were having a difficult time in getting a repair person and that I could find one myself and they would allow it. I had difficulty too and in the meantime I got re-married and was a way for a few weeks so no AC didn't matter.
When I returned and got an AC Company they inspected and sent the report to Choice Warranty. The claim was denied due to "a existing condition". I appealed to a Case Manager that took 2 weeks to get back to me. Now mind you, I am without air for over a month but it was cool enough. She denied the claim as well. I asked what is a "pre-existing condition". She said that the problem was developing over time! I called my mechanic and asked it does develop over time or sudden and he said it was normal wear and tear. I called back Crystal (Case Manager) and asked if they covered Wear and Tear? She said yes.... Then I should be covered and she said no! I am now trying cancelling my contract and getting a refund! Let's see how that goes.

The technician was assigned quickly and arrived when expected. He quickly diagnosed the issue and submitted the claim for the problems. There were several issues identified with the A/C but only the least expensive issues were approved even though the issues "covered" caused the other issues.

Our washing machine was repairable. Their first offer is $345.00 which is 1/3 the replacement cost. Totally unacceptable! Also first report it was a Dish Washer. I called to correct but that person didn't cancel that claim and start a new one.

I am Happy with this service and coverage for professional service and decision on reimbursement option. I have also just referred and enrolled one another friend of mine to Choice Home coverage. Only concern I have is that I have to invest additional amount about 40% of amount out of pocket for same appliance and that too mine was a pretty new appliance I had an issue with.

The Air Condition for some reason was no longer cooling the upstairs...call in order. Technician came out, fixed the problem; but found out we had a gas leak. Tried to fix it. I am very pleased with the contractor you sent to my home. I am however, displeased with the fact that every time I call in a claim, your company finds a reason not to cover it. I have been with you since 2005 and if I thought about the amount of money I spent just to have a 300 dollar dishwasher replaced and a compressor on a 6K btu air conditioner, I could have a pretty large bank savings.

Water heater not covered due to leak inside the unit. What would be covered in a water heater? If there is a piece of rust not covered It's corrosion. Tank leaks. Please refer to your terms and conditions section D number 6; CHW is not responsible for main, holding or storage tank, Why do you think people buy a home warranty in the event of a water heater going bad. Not happy with Choice and would not recommend at all to any potential customers.
