    I am not happy with your replacement policy. When my ceiling fan broke you relaxed it but when my dryer broke and the parts couldn’t be found I only received $300 toward my least expensive gas dryer that I could find for $648. The last company I dealt with was total protection who replaced my dishwasher including someone to install and remove my old one. It didn’t cost me anything extra for the replacement for the same make that I previously had. I bought a three year policy and I have to wait 30 days to get my money to put toward a lower graded gas dryer. I will not recommend this company to my friends! I had to wait 5 days to talk to a case manager.

    I called and reported my refrigerator was broken before Thanksgiving. It's now Dec 07 and I am still without a refrigerator. I was.offered compensation cash but it could take up to 30 days. I need a fridge. I was offered a replacememt but after a consultation on the 8th.     If everything has to be handled by customer resolution department, as I have been told over the last FOUR calls to simply move my service, then you should have that option on the main menu. Sitting on hold for 15 minutes just to be transferred again and sit on hold more. Opted for call back option on 3rd call and NEVER got a call. Can someone who knows how to "Resolve" this issue of changing my address please call me back at **.

    Very bad and unprofessional technician, 2 tech came in giving different diagnostic. The first tech Charles G. Said machine was fine but did not do anything at all. The second tech Brian G. Said he had to replace everything. Another tech the A/E factory service sent here by mistake said the problem was the only the board. Choice case manager never contacted me nor answer my many many phone call. Her name is Aline **. Washer still broke. If choice is not fixing it, by sending a more reliable tech please refund my full premium. I have choice in my property in Orlando and I’m very happy with the service, please fix my washer. It only need a new board.

    Updated on 01/23/2021: After a visit by a vendor that was supposed to take of a un functioning heating unit in my hose, it just went bad a few day later.     When system not working my understand is if you have insurance is covered. That’s why you bought coverage like when you buy coverage for car anything wrong with the car they fixed. They don’t asking questions, "Did you put air in your tire" or "You didn’t change the oil filter that’s why we are not covering." Such an example.

    Called Choice Home Warranty on a Friday afternoon for one of my heaters not working. Within 10 mins I had an appt set with a local company (5Star HOME SERVICES INC) for the following Monday. Less than 5 minutes after I hung up with Choice Home Warranty, 5Star Home Services called to confirm my appt and actually moved my appt to the next day at 9 am.     Placed a claim on Thursday evening and plumber came the next afternoon. Had a stoppage in main clean out line. The tech stated claim was denied when he was diagnosing. Quoted $350 to snake then $250 to camera and he thought our main line was broken (without snaking yet). I advised him just to snake and see if roots come up on the snake. He charged my credit card $68 for the service call fee and $353 for the snaking.

    I called into claims department while he was snaking and the claims rep stated the claim was approved. Tech told me he’d refund $300, not $353. “He had fees to pay the credit card company”. I do not feel that this is acceptable business practice for him. I do recommend CHW reconsider this technician on their preferred list. If he’s overcharging me, he’s doing it to other homeowners and is a bad reflection on the warranty company. Tech also mentioned to me that CHW doesn’t pay him much money and he’s barely breaking even. The credit back to my credit card still hasn’t processed, but will give it a few days before contacting CHW. The experience with CHW was great! Placed claim and appointment scheduled immediately.

    Customer service was terrible. I was assigned a caseworker who never contacted me and to this day still has not contacted me. When I finally got someone to contact me the first thing they said was they only had 15 minutes to help me Resolve my problem. So for them to tell me I only had 15 minutes makes it seem like I am not a valued customer of theirs as the person kept telling me I was valued. He rushed and rushed our conversation. When I was trying to explain things to him he was interrupting me. It was just terrible customer service.

    No heat in these conditions is an emergency. Having a 7 year old with asthma and this cold temperature, and no way to move her to someone because of Covid. With all this urgency all we got is wait for an extra day to have a technician come out. Then get rejected with a reason that is incorrect. There is no rust damage to the unit. The unit was inspected when we purchased the home 2 years ago. We also had all the vents and the furnace cleaned. It's been looked at serviced and taken care of. A 13 year old heat exchanger can crack due to normal wear and tear. Additional carrier tends to have the heat exchangers fail sooner. So I call and referred to a case manager. As soon as I get that email I try to set up that call.... 4 days out is the soonest??? Again we have been days without a furnace, we cannot turn it on without risking to die from carbon monoxide poisoning.

    I call again and am told to call the case manager directly. They just have voicemail, no way to talk to them. I left voicemail, kept calling, just in case, no response. They do not work weekends. So you are forcing me to pay out of pocket for a unit and destroy any chance for Christmas for my child. I purchased this home warranty to not have this issue. You just proofed to me that it was a waste of my money and you are not trustworthy or care at all about your customers. My next step will be reporting this to the better business bureau. Rejecting a claim for a reason that does not apply and then give your customers the run-around to make sure they are forced to fix things without you. Great business practice....not.

    I am a structural engineer working with mechanical engineers and contractors every day. I know very well how this crack can be caused, please go ahead show me the reason other than normal fatigue from heating cycles. It's not there. My husband is a mechanic, he knows our equipment needs to maintained properly too. No neglect from our side, just neglect from your side on taking care of customers.

    I have 2 accounts with Choice Home warranty. In one I had a hot water heater go bad and in another a dishwasher. For the hot water heater, which it clearly states on my polo is covered up to $1000.00, they denied the claim because of “wear and tear. For heaven’s sake, how much wear and tear does a hot water tank get. It sits there! They denied it. For the dishwasher, they offered me a measles $160 to “replace” a $700 unit and they wouldn’t cover the install. In both cases, it took weeks to get responses, they force you to schedule way out (1 week minimum) and in both cases, when there was a problem with the claim or a denial they put me to the back of the line. There was no effort contact me regarding problems. I always felt that my concerns were annoying to them. Customer service is awful. Definitely canceling my service.

    Thus far every time I've tried to make a claim there is some reason CHOICE Home Warranty can not repair or replace. 1st it was a refrigerator which needed to be replaced. However it is NOT my primary refrigerator and was NOT covered. I was told it could be for another $35.00 per month. 2nd it was a leaky faucet that would NOT be repaired because it wasn't a mechanical failure. 3rd, it is a hot water heater that would NOT be covered because a ruptured tank is not a mechanical failure.

    Dealing with your Resolution Department I was told $150.00 credit would be credited to my account to help ameliorate the loss but I have yet to connect with this department. As I type this correspondence I've been on hold for 25 minutes. This is the 2nd call today as the previous CHOICE staff person transferred me to the Resolution Department and the call dropped. That was after being on hold for 27 minutes. And lastly CHOICE Home Warranty drafted my account TWICE IN 1 MONTH for $47.00!!! After this horrible experience I did a deeper dive into CHOICE Home Warranty and I see that you have 14,000 complaints and you are NOT accredited with the BBB. I'm thinking a made a mistake with choosing CHOICE Home Warranty.

    I was pleased with repair but not pleased with how he left my toilet. He told us not to use it for 24 hours. We closed the door and did not go into that bathroom until the next day. When I went in to clean up I noticed he put longer screws in to bolt the toilet down and left the bolt covers dangling. This just did not look right. I called him to see what he could do.     DO NOT USE CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!!!! Terrible experience! They do not replace an appliance with a like model. They have a fixed maximum and it doesn't matter how much you originally paid. They do not cover removal of old unit or installation and of course not tax. They select contractors to diagnose based on algorithms!! I was told. No vetting. No checking reviews. They "sent" the worst company that did not show up ever or answer the phone or respond. So I contacted a repair company that said the Samsung washer piece of garbage unit could not be repaired because controls are no longer available although it was only 4 1/2 years old. So I have to pay $300 more on top of their "fixed" offer to wash clothes again. No negotiating. It should be called NO CHOICE MAYBE PARTIAL HOME WARRANTY.

    When I purchased contract, I was lied to. I found this out when I received service for my Ac. The tech was fabulous. But I was told everything is covered on a service call. When tech got there he was quick in finding issue, but I had to pay for leak test. I spoke to a lady and she said it was my responsibility and told me I was responsible for freon. I specifically asked this question. Another lie. The girl was a ditz. Very unhappy thus far. I was a valued home warranty customer for years. I still have no air. I hope it's taken care not without no more hidden charges. I'd like to try your company for a while. I was allowed to talk with a manager. Please make right. Respectfully.

    I am a very fair and reasonable person. But I was completely disappointed with this company. My dishwasher stopped working and I called Choice. They sent someone out to check it and I was told the part that was needed for the dishwasher was not available anywhere. So Choice sent me an email for a cash offer to replace my dishwasher. But that was a slap in the face because the offer was not even close to being enough to buy a dishwasher of similar value compared to the one I had.

    So I was given a case manager that increased the already low cash offer by $60. I tried to explain to the nice person on the phone that not only do I have to buy the dishwasher but I would have to pay for installation as well and I was under the impression when I bought the warranty that if they could not fix the appliance than they would replace it (install included). Come to find out they do not replace your appliance they send you what they call a "Buy Out" offer. That's not on the policy you purchase and and you will still have to come off a lot of money to get your appliance replaced. Choice I am very disappointed!!!

    The heating system and my thermostat didn't talk together. I could hear it trying to start and didn't or it started but no heat came on. Looking at the ion line instruction booklet didn't help much. I called CHW and Monday after Thanksgiving Matthew was here from San Antonio.     Heating system wasn’t functioning. Choice dispatch repair technicians who determine there was crack in the heat exchanger. Choice determined that they would not pay due to rust. I called for service and they stated they couldn't reach a technician and to get my own service and submit diagnosis. I spent $129 on a service call and submitted. Waited on hold for the tech to speak to them, they never picked up. All forms and with video and pictures were provided. They wanted to speak tech, tech finally stated not waiting on them anymore. After speaking to two different "Resolution specialist" I was told they would get a call me within 24 hrs to schedule and appointment, I was never called and was then told to get my own estimate again. I then told them not to charge my card again until they honor their contract and get my ac looked at. So they canceled my contract will not return a call. They scammed me good!

    My air conditioner stopped working. Initially they stated the breaker switch was not covered but then approved for the breaker switch to be covered. TWO WEEKS went by and I had not heard from Choice home warranty nor the AC company about fixing or replacing the breaker. After 16 days went on I was forced to hire another company and pay out of pocket to fix the breaker to have my AC working here in Texas. It was after this time that Choice contacted me but I had already fixed the AC being that 3 weeks were coming up. They stated that if I had already fixed it there was nothing they could do. This is illegal and unethical business practices making a client/customer wait THREE WEEKS to fix a not working AC unit in Texas.

    They refused to fix HVAC system making claims that any older model would have because of age, they used fine print to refuse service. Claimed that a little rust on the coils on the heat pump that was outside voided their option to make the repairs, trying to resolve the issue was a waste, they were rude and treated me like they could care less about my concern. Also had a request to fix my garbage, they sent out a plumber, he said I don’t even need to call, they will use their fine print not to fix it. I just called a local plumber and he fixed the problem. I cancelled the contract ASAP, got rude treatment from their customer service people.

    Had problems with KitchenAid dishwasher which we have had for about 15 years. It suddenly stopped working. Called Choice who assigned tech who found that circuit board was bad. Because of the age of the machine it was advised better to replace them to replace. We accepted the fair monetary offer and it will be replaced. The only issue I had was the offer was not to really replace but just a money payout. This meant I had to use additional money to replace since the offer was not large enough to really replace and then I had to also pay for it to be installed. Would have been good if it was cash settled and was offered to also have it installed.

    We purchased a Choice Home Warranty and every time we needed a repair Choice would accept the claim but would never actively work to find a vendor. They rely on the customer to find the repair company and before they’ll agree to pay the claim the company has to agree to fill out a ton of information and submit it directly to Home Choice. Much of the information isn’t even relevant to the repair. In calling companies in the area we were told that they would not work with Choice Home Warranty because they didn’t pay their bills. Do your homework before using this company and call local vendors to ask about them first. I would highly recommend against using this company.

    Customer service was bad. I did not get the Black Friday promotion even though I sent my email request on exact date to ensure my place. I couldn't add roof repair under my policy since cost extra to included it. also, on my other houses I was told that roof repair is included on all other 3 houses but apparently they are not!
