I filed a claim for a badly leaking faucet and a plumber was assigned by the next day. He came out the same day and fixed my faucet quickly and efficiently. He was punctual, friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this plumber from Bauer Plumbing.

Will not renew my policy. Third time claim was denied. l never had a reason to believe it would be denied. l had just talked my son into joining but have since told him no way, every time you come up with some dumb reason.

Representative was easy to talk with, very attentive, listened to everything that was said. Great customer service, and professional. I like how he repeated everything to make certain that what was stated was in the system properly. I like how he sent the request to my email address because at the time I was driving and I couldn't write down the confirmation number.

What is offered is the bottom of the line dishwashers. Our dishwasher was a top of the line. The money offered doesn't cover installation of delivery. If the machine could have been repaired the cost would have been more. This policy is not what I expected and I will tell people my experience which is not good.

I had been contacted several times by other companies, but when the knowledgable man explained the great value of the contract I was purchasing, I knew deep in my heart that this is the protection I wanted for my house and family. I’ve only had two past work orders with Choice; for my freezer and my oven. My last order was for my oven and I was very pleased with the service. The service man was here the day after I requested service and they did a great job. I currently have a work order out for my toilet, but that hasn’t been handled yet so can’t comment on that. So far I’ve been very happy with Choice.

There were things to be worked out with Tech and CHW. These things were worked out with the assistance of your appeals representative. This was Lydia and she was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with...always following up with me and a big help in working with our problem. We are still waiting on parts this due to factory delays and not CHW.

Bruce **, Account Representative did a great and thorough job enrolling me, determining best options, plan/discounts and payment methods. It was very easy - and took a lot of stress off of me -- and I would have joined the 3.5 year VIP plan due to budget at this time - I appreciated that he provided all those details w/ patiently and professionally.

KLB Appliance Services was assigned to take care of my claim and called me the night before the service appointment to verify the time and to narrow down the time from the 4 hour window to just 2 hours and give me the name of the technician I should expect to see. Very considerate. The tech arrived on time listened to the description of the problem and began his work. Within a short time he had found the exact cause and informed me what parts were needed and what the next steps would be. Extremely efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable. People I would absolutely call on again with further appliance problems.

I was satisfied with the service received by Bennett and Sons A/C, however I'm very dissatisfied with the claim being denied for any of the items listed that needs to be repaired/replaced by CHW. My claim was denied due to what you determine to be "abnormal wear and tear and/or abnormal operating conditions or catastrophic events," however, since you were not at my home to determine the condition of the equipment, I do not think you qualify to make that determination. What makes you think that my ac/heating unit has endured a catastrophic event to even make this assumption?

Just joined. The representative was very helpful and curious. Don't have an opinion on their service yet but I have not heard anything bad. I will submit another review when I have used their service. Their prices, after researching have been the lowest with the most coverage.

The funds to replace a 36” wide 6 burner stove was a joke. I have 3 houses with you and will not renew. Also have 4 other people wanting a home warranty and will not recommend you. Also the rep who handled this call with me missed the first call- meaning they/you did not call and reschedule. I had to call and get it started again. The rep who dealt with me was RUDE. Listen to the recording. Now the service tech was great who came to house was great. When I signed with you the rep told me you would replace what was needed. What a joke. You want me to replace a 36 stove with a 30, because 600$ will only buy a 30 stove. So I will have to replace countertops and marble or put in $1200 to buy the cheapest 36” stove I can find. So thanks for nothing.

We came to an agreement. It just took too long. Then it takes too long to get the buyout money. It will be 2 months total. Before I get my money so I can get a new fridge. That's unacceptable. How can a family go that long without a refrigerator.

The technician who finally came out, after I called and requested my claim be reassigned was great. Ft Worth Rescue and Restore Plumbing was very efficient and professional. The technician originally assigned, AAA Services, was terrible. They stood us up on 3 appointments. Overall it was a very poor experience.

I have called customer service multiple times in the one week of service due to disappointment in doorbell camera, price and unit display. Once they have your money, they don’t seem to care about the customer. The cold call salesman was very good and congenial.

The technicians sent to evaluate the leak I thought I had were both great. They identified the problem and everything was repaired very quickly. The technicians were both professional and polite. I highly recommend these two individuals to work on anyone's plumbing problems.

My experience today was a good one. Although it took 1 week for a technician to schedule an appointment. I’m satisfied with the outcome. If there’s anything I would change about the experience, would be for Choice to have allowed me to get my own electrician, instead of having to wait 8 days.

You could not find anyone to come out when I needed it most so I found someone in fact 2 different ones and both said they will not work with your company so now I have to buy my own furnace even though I have a warranty. I can't get it to work. Thanks a lot Choice Home Warranty for nothing.

I put a request online Sunday night for an issue with my garbage disposal backing up and leaking. By the time I woke up on Monday morning, I had an email a technician had been assigned between 11 am - 3 pm. They were here by 12:45 and problem was fixed. Very professional.

I'm not happy with the fact that it will be a week before my issue will be taken care of. It seems to me that a garage door that is partially off its track would warrant an immediate response. This is a safety and home security issue that I would like a quicker appointment.

Thus far Zach ** (Appliance Repair King) has been very attentive to the problem with the refrigerator. Final repair should occur by Friday of this week so we'll see if what he's diagnosed fixes all the problems. We started with 1 problem and have since experienced almost a complete failure of the refrigerator. Hopefully the parts we are waiting for will be installed when promised.

However once I told the salesman I could not afford the 6 year plan at this time he kept trying to push it and should have stopped after the first time I told him I could not afford it until after the first of the year.

The heat wasn't working, then it did when it ran for a day. The technician came 15 minutes early, listened to me and purged the air out of the hot water pipes. He gave me advice on better maintenance of the heating system. I would recommend the service company and CHW for selecting them to come out.

Friday evening my oil fired boiler stopped working. I called the 888 number and filed a claim. By mid-morning Saturday they were unable to locate a contractor, I found my own and they are only partially reimbursing me. They are trying to say not all parts are covered. Some are not but some should be.

I appreciate the company that was sent out to my home to repair my heating system. He fixed within a hr or 2, and was gone. I have heat and I Thank God!!!! I pray that my heat won't go out anyway soon because it has start to turn cold and nobody deserves to suffer from not having heat!!

Excessive noise from unit when it operates, temperatures are good. Only problem is noise is excessive when the unit is operating. Service company notified and appointment set for service within 24 hours. No other detail are defined at present until service tech can visit and review the functions.

Most recent plumbing experience went very well. Contractor professional and efficient. Got job done and gave hints on how to prevent similar problem in the future. Would recommend Osp Plumbing and Rooter to other customers. Another recent experience with Choice had you refusing claim after contractor came, when had enough info prior to tell me both covered and saved fee.

Leaking water from under the sink. Your plumber only fixed one leak. I have another leak in the same sink - my garbage disposal. He will be returning again to repair leak from the faucet area. I need to know why he didn’t repair the leak in the in the Insinkerator when he was doing the first part of the job.

The technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable, However how I wish the repairs were done sooner. Maybe the company should initiate a process/guidelines wherein there is an option for an emergency repairs. There should be more technicians in the field to respond in immediate repairs since majority of the repairs are considered essential if not urgent.

Monday; December 14, 2020. I don't understand how CHW can say that we abused our dryer. WHERE DID THAT INFORMATION COME FROM? This Maytag dryer is several years old, and it serves the six people here in our family. My wife and I are raising grandchildren. We have guardianship. Yes, of course this dryer will have some wear after serving six individuals for a good number of years. I think a judge would agree with me. Once again, I want to know who told you that big lie.

I called to report claim and was told to leave a message and would get a call back. Waited 6 + hrs and no call so made report online. Rec'd a claim # and that a tech would be assigned. This was a Mon. No call by Fri so called again. On Mon a tech came over. Called in and no call back until Tues. Claim was denied. Understand the denial but not happy with amount of time to get something done. Hope for better service next time.

Called choice and was able to easily book an appointment with a lovely professional real person! I had a service called booked in less than a week of my request and Bob from Applix is a true professional. He took the time to really identify the issue with our microwave whereas most technicians would say “well you only get about X years, so time to replace...” he never quit and resolved the issue. Choice is making home repairs so simple and pleasant. I can’t believe I waited this long. Thank you!

Technician determined refrigerator had a defective control panel. Claim was rejected. The control panel controls the entire refrigerator, not just the ice dispenser. Left a voice message and email for CHW claim specialist. Have not received a response. Set up a call, but it’s 2 weeks away

Repairman was prompt and was knowledgeable. I need to make sure the repair is complete once I get Affresh dishwasher cleaner as the issue is not resolved but is better. There was a problem with one of the appointments which I was told there was an error on Sears' end.

I don't agree with your decision. This leak happened and was not aware of shoddy work not my fault. It is part of house the heating and hot water system. It happened later way after installation. The tech seemed to know what he was doing but if he does not want to do the work send somebody else.

Updated on 12/22/2020: Was the third technician to come for the problem. Did a good careful job of diagnosing the issue. Had to order parts. Hopefully this will solve the problem. It will take about two weeks due to the holiday. We wish there were fewer computers.
Original Review: This was the second visit. We have an error message. It needs a new motherboard. First repairman fixed it temporarily but it recurred. This should hopefully fix the problem. They will return in two weeks with the part. Hopefully that will solve the issue.

I have been very pleased with the very fast turn around. Got customer service on the line very quickly. Very knowledgeable agent was done with that part in less than 8min. I had an appointment with my company within an hour. I did not have to worry. They would get me in the very next day. I am very satisfied.

If you live in a rural area, not a good 'choice'. They (Choice) most of the time 'can't find a technician in a timely manner' for your issue. They make appointments that is not communicated to the people actually coming to your house! So you end up wasting entire days waiting for service providers that aren't coming. They offer to 'reimburse' if a technician can't be found but never tell you that it'll only be for small fraction of what it'll cost you. So in short, can't speak for urban customer, but as a rural one am very dissatisfied with their ability to help me but continues to want full payment on plan they can't often deliver on.

My heater motor died. Johnnie from Johnnie’s Heating and Air came to diagnose the problem and had it fixed in a few days as soon as the part came in. Johnnie was efficient, professional, and friendly. He wore a mask and abided by health and safety guidelines, which made me feel comfortable about having a technician in my house during COVID times.

I guess it's not covered in my contract. My house is older. HOW would I know what's behind the wall but I think I at least should have been refunded my 65 dollars and I'm not happy at all because I trying now to find this damn contract to see what else isn't covers that I think is.

Jordon ** was very helpful in helping us decide which co. to get our home warranty through. He helped us figure what we needed, and adjusted the price to help fit our budget. We would recommend him as an agent to others and the company... My toilet was running. I replaced the fill valve but didn't resolve the issue. The flapper assembly needed to be replaced. Also the water supply turn off needed to be replaced. The technician did a good job. Initially he was just going to replace the flapper, which I questioned due to only one side having the hook up for the flapper. A plastic piece had broken off. The technician agreed and disassembled the tank and replaced the assembly. He had me check his work. Which I was satisfied with.

The last company I used I cancelled cause I didn’t even get an email or call on whether my claim was received or not. So then I saw Choice and gave them a shot first they were willing to match my old rate, second I sent a claim in on my sink and got a email response the same day (impressive), and third service was on time, efficient, and outstanding. Please Choice keep up the good work, it’s hard to find good customer service at this time!

Service tech came to house. Said water heater out. Wanted me to pay 700 for it then found a hot water leak and they denied the claim. l asked why they said not covered even though they advertised it was covered.

Choice home warranty called (at 9:19) and said that the appointment was from 8:30-11:00. Simply plumbing called at 11:33 and said that they never set that appointment but could see if a technician could come out same day. They called back at 12:19 and said they would have someone out within the hour. The technician did not arrive until 1:55. He did a great job and was in and out. I’m very pleased with the technical, but the communication between Choice Home Warranty and Simply plumbing could use some work. Also, if you say within the hour but it is going to be longer than that, just say it will be within the next 2 hours. It’s easier to plan around that way.

On upon receipt the guy was respectful when he arrived and he looked at the tub. Went downstairs looking at the pipes and started working on the trying release the blockage. He worked as much as he could and didn’t find a top but notice the pipes was rusted. Made a report. Came back back and did the repairs. Everything thing is fine!
The only problem I have is with AP plumbing, the racist attitude and disrespect he had for me and then he lied about seeing a top of some kind stuck in the pipe in which is impossible to see if it was one. That is the reason I said he lied. Plus I watched him just like watched the latter plumber and Zatro didn’t find a top in the drain so please never send Ap plumbing to do any service to my home nor call me again. Once again thank you for your honesty Zatro. You’re the best.

Leak in showerhead. Needs a new part which had to be ordered. Knowledgeable and very well mannered. Toilet handle was stuck and was repaired within a few minutes. Cleaned up any debris left behind and explained in detail the problem.

When the first person contacted me he was very helpful but I didn't appreciate the strong arm tactics. "If you get if today I can guarantee this price." I printed out the agreement between Choice and myself. I received a call from someone at the number that is my secondary number. I returned the call and it went straight to voicemail and I didn't get a return call. Now I get an email from Kayleigh ** and when I return her call it goes straight to voicemail. When I push the start button I get hung up on. Tried this twice, same results. The email says if I do not respond then the offer will not be guaranteed. When I read what she has sent me it does not include the things I asked for and that the original caller said would be covered. I am beginning to get a bad feeling about this company and maybe it is no better than First American.

Submitted claim for bad ballast in garage light & broken lens in another light. Paid $65 for sent electrician. Disallowed repair because fixtures are not covered. Why sent electrician and have me pay $65 if repair is not covered? My total out-of-pocket was $198.17. If I knew the repair was not covered, my brother-in-law could have fixed it for just the parts, $50, when he came for Christmas.

However, Choice Home Warranty claim rep was too quick to tell me that the claim was not covered because it was deemed to be maintenance instead of repair. Plumber was scheduled 7 - 11 AM... showed at 3:30 PM. We lose 8 hours of valuable time. Plumber stated your seat needs replacement... didn't offer replacement seat, timing, status. We could have waited for a seat, however he agreed to install the seat that we had purchased. $45 service fee OK, however seat purchased cost $40.00. I waited almost 2 weeks to get a repair person here. I’ve been without a microwave now for almost 3 weeks. Microwave not repairable. Repairman nice and honest. My microwave cost almost 600.00. I was offered 191.00. I debated that with a contact person from Choice Warranty. She was very understanding and explained why amount was offered.
She did give me 249.00. Still not close to what my microwave cost so disappointed in company. I thought I would get the cost to get another appliance in my house that was like the one I had. When looking for a new microwave with what my old one offered it is going to cost me 653.97 from Fullerton appliances in Erie pa. That is cost of delivery and installation. They also priced matched with a store offering a lower price. This is concerning for me going forward because I am on a fixed income that is the reason why I chose to take a 3 yr plan. As your contact person pointed out there were stipulations on contract I should have read more carefully. I guess when it sounds too good to be true it is too good to be true.

I have given Choice Home Warranty 3 chances to live up to their promise and they failed on all 3 occasions. I should have cancelled my policy after the first time, but since I believe in second chances, I didn't do it. However, as of today, I will be cancelling and suggesting that anybody else I recommended them to, to do the same. They use sub-par contractors who lie and are irresponsible. If there is ever a class action lawsuit filed against them, I will be one of the first to sign on.

Failed to give approval to fix sump pump based on the fact the Plumber reported the the sump pump was located outside of my home. The guidelines says there can be exception if the sump is located in garage. I contention is that the sump pump is in cove attached to the basement of my home by design when I bought it in 1981. It is covered on three sides as can be seen in the attachment. As a three year customer, resolution team should grant me an exception based on the principle by which it is granted to a garage location.

We called to check & verify whether our outdoor lighting would be covered. We were told that it would be & an appointment was made through your office. When the tech came out he told us that he didn't think outdoor lighting was covered. We paid the $65 deductible, but he was unable to correct our problem since we are now told that outdoor lighting isn't covered. Let me reiterate: we called & checked before we made this appointment. We were told, over the phone, that this would be covered by our policy. The technician, Marvin came to my home to check on my washer and stayed the entire time to check into the problems. He was very kind. The washer makes a lot of noise, leaks oil and water. He was trying to figure out the best option. Later, recommended that it be replaced (I am sure it is too expensive to repair), however, the amount of replacement is not really what I expected to buy a new washer. Not happy about that. I should have received at LEAST $100 more.

I called a spoke with Gary at ext. **; Because I had some question, Gary became rude, then spoke to me as if I was an idiot. Simply because I wanted to know what would be covered under your home warranty before signing up. Called back to speak with Gary but your phone queue didn't allow me to enter an ext. Somebody answered, I gave him Gary extension and he transferred me. Gary came on and I added the limited roof coverage, and he unbeknownst to me; transferred me over to Adam ext. **. And I only know that because Adam ** is the one who sent me my contract that said contact directly me at 800-814-2534 EXT **.
But when I got my contract I noticed that the limited roof coverage wasn't included. So I called back and Adam actually answered; then he swore that I didn't speak with him. Then he proceeded to transfer me to Gary, who says that he doesn't know how I got my contract from Adam because; he personally sent it to me. I don't know if they really think customers are stupid, but it's not a good feeling, nor a good look!!!

Our washing machine during a wash began leaking, stopped working. I called Choice Warranty and expeditiously an appointment was made for a tech to come. On the day of the appointment the tech arrived during the time window we were given. He proceeded to the repair of the washer, completed in about 40 minutes, gave my husband a paper to sign, took check, returned it to us once his transaction was completed. The service technician performed a thorough job of re-keying the locks/deadbolts on four doors. Per the Choice contract, I was due 4 new keys. However, two were provided, which resulted in a trip to a hardware store to have more keys produced. My experience with hardware store keys is that they are often less precise than those keys provided by locksmiths. My other issue is with the Choice work scope for re-keying, which covers four locks. My four doors each have a locking doorknob and a separate deadbolt. I would have been happier to have Choice cover all four doors in their home warranty, meaning coverage for a total of eight locks, instead of only four.

I am a real estate agent and has offered this plan to my customers and changed from Sears Home Warranty for myself and my clients. Service is the key along with the cost. Choice Home Warranty seems to offer the best product. My sales representative Freddie did a really good job explaining the products and offer the pricing plans for myself and my clients. The reimbursement program is okay, but I am paying for the services of CHW. Didn't like having to spend the time looking for a business to do the work, not knowing their reputations. But, in this case, I lucked out and was happy with the company I found.

I noticed my air handler continued to run wouldn’t turn off. I went online. Entered new claim which is very easy process to do. I received an email followed by a phone call notifying me of my claim. Within probably an hour I was notified I had an appointment for the next day.

I contacted Choice warranty to fix a leak in my toilet. They sent out a plumber. The plumber wrote up what needed to be repaired. The claim was forwarded to another plumbing company. One week later another plumber shows up and says he has to evaluate the needed repair. He said he must submit a claim and it would take 5 hours to receive an answer. He could return the following day. This toilet now has been leaking for 2 weeks. The first plumber already did that and had it approved.. He said he had to submit a claim and he was sorry. I called the Warranty Company and they said he would have to submit a claim all over again.. I asked him how much it would cost me and he said $325.00. I was upset and told him to go ahead and repair it.

The technician for "Thrive Maintenance & Refrigeration Service" came and resolved my heating (downstairs) issue in short fashion. They was suppose to arrive on Sunday 12/06, but after writing to CHW he must have gotten the message; and even though the technician and I communicated via text several times they came and took care of my problem...

We needed a celluloid valve replaced. The repair appointment was made within 24 hours or less and the repair completion within a few days. Rich from Appliance Plus was the repairman. Between Choice Home and Rich they deserve five stars! Thank you both!

My service contract states my service fee is $65, however during my conversation with Customer Service Rep today, I was told my fee increased to $85.00. I am not happy with the increase for my service fee. One of the main reasons for my decision to switch my Home Warranty to Choice was the affordable rates, that is no longer the case. I might take look at my old company that charges $75.00 service fee.

We pay insurance for a reason. When something breaks down the insurance company should be swift and considerate of all situations. I called this company about my air conditioner on Saturday the 5th of Dec. I received a call about the circumstances on Saturday and haven't heard anything since then. I received an email stating that if I wanted to pay for the serviced myself I have the option of doing so and get reimbursed. WHAT? Why am I paying insurance if I have to pay myself? This company has 48 hours to cater to my issues.
In a recent review of your claim, our records show that we have provided you with an appointment from one of our technicians for Wednesday December 9th, 2020 between the hours of 03:00 PM and 08:00 PM.

Our upstairs heat went out and I submitted a claim to Choice Home Warranty. Got an email saying they would have someone contact me via email with appointment date and time. After 7 hours of no response I sent a follow up. They found me a contractor to come take a look at the unit. Appointment was for 4 days later, so in December in Virginia with no heat upstairs where the master bedroom is. The contractor was able to come out 2 days early so that was good, but that was on him not Choice Home Warranty. He said that the refrigerant was low and needed to be recharged. Said that he thinks the outside condenser coil is leaking (no leak test performed). He then submitted to Choice Home Warranty that a new condenser coil was needed and that mine was leaking.
3 days later I get a response from Choice saying that my claim was denied. They stated that they did not cover the repairs because the outside unit had rust and corrosion on it and that is what cause the condenser coil to leak. I submitted an appeal and stated that the unit was 21 years old and it has been outside in the elements for 21 years, what did they expect. Under the contract they state, "all components are covered". But down in the fine print they state "they do not make repairs due to rust or corrosion".
So they get you in the fine print, I did read the contract prior to signing up but I guess I missed that portion so part of this problem is my fault. But what do they expect being a home warranty company and something fails after being outside for 21 years? So all in all I cancelled my account with them because they are no help at all in this situation and now I will be paying for the repairs myself. Would not recommend because they will always find a way to put the problem on the customer and avoid paying anything at all costs. Would not recommend.

I rate CHW #1 in my book. They never let me down and was always concerned about any of my claims. CHW I wish I could give 30 stars for a job well done. My washing machine bleach dispenser was not working, I called Choice and they sent a technician within the time frame stated by Choice, the tech reviewed the problem and ordered the part and replaced it three days later. The dispenser still didn't work, I called Choice to let them know. Two days later the same tech came looked at the machine for ten minutes (did not say a word like the first time) and then said I need to order the part. I then received an email from Choice stating in lieu of fixing the machine they are offering me a sum of money. The sum was $250.00 less than the cost of a replacement machine with the same features. Be careful when taking a contract with Choice. They don't replace appliances.

There was water pooling inside the dryer and was not diagnosed. The issue is more with Choice than with the provider. This was more of a defect caused as a screen was installed which should not have been installed and causing buildup and not due to a maintenance issue. I was told vent will be covered when I first opened the claim and when I called back was told only machine was covered after claim denied.

I had to wait 10 days to hear from you about my hot water heaters, which by that time I had to pay to get them myself, your heater guy fixed a part and beat the dust out of another, and then said he did not know if you would pay for that part either.

My heater did not go on. i suspected the pilot light was out but decided to call for service just in case it was more complicated. I requested service Sunday night was informed service will be provided on Wednesday by a firm far from my location. I could not wait in this cold temperature and resolved the problem myself. Service should be provided within 24 hours. I cancelled my request.

It has taken since 10/10/20 to get my washer repaired and will be complete on 12/17/20. The A & E service technician was outstanding but the length of time it took to have a competent service technician complete this job was terrible and yet your company kept taking my monthly payments. Another delay like this on any future outages I may have will result in my cancelling my contract with you.

The repairman was very good at his job, took his time, examined every part of the washer. Did not care for what he told us the problem was. But he was honest and upfront with the job. Also courteous. We were told no one will fix our washer, as the parts would cost half the price of a new one and labor would cost just as much, as the whole washer would have to be taken apart. The washer, an LG was only 5 years old.

Our washing machine failed to operate, could not be repaired and hence needed to be replaced. A case manager was assigned within 1 business day. The case manager resolved the claim to my complete and full satisfaction and handled all the issues very professionally to my complete satisfaction.

Plumbcraft knocked this service call out of the park! My appointment was set up for the next business day. Communication about the appointment and tech arrival was fantastic from both parties. Technician Ben was very professional and arrived in a clearly marked company vehicle. Ben took the time to explain the problem and what repairs were necessary to fix it.

Great service from the technician today. He found a leak in our kitchen incinerator and immediately replaced the appliance on the same visit. Since I purchased a policy, I was hounded by solicitation calls for at least two days from numbers all over the country trying to get me to sign up for a policy. I'm left wondering now if I've not made a mistake based on a B- Better Business Bureau rating I saw when comparing Choice to other providers in this area. I'm left wondering what my experience will be like when I have a claim - when I'm in need the most.
