The technician was very professional and arrived the next day! The appointment was scheduled January 14th after I told the Rep. That this was an EMERGENCY because I couldn't turn the faucet off and the water was running FULL BLAST!! I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED THAT YOUR REP. DID NOT MAKE A NOTE IN THE COMPUTER THAT THIS WAS AN EMERGENCY!

Choice advertising was on target. I called the 800 number as soon as I saw the commercial. There no waiting period to talk to someone. The agent was well verse. He explained everything me. I would highly recommend this company to someone else. The monthly fee is very reasonable.

Told what the Diamond plan included and talked to me about what I needed according to age of home and appliances. Explained the procedure of requesting repairs and how long the plan covered issues. Representative was cordial and looked for ways to find best coverage and prices. Presented discounts for Veterans and AARP Members. Great Plans and Prices! Recommend it highly!

When I call to cancel because I have to services calls nobody call or show up not once but twice. Call you all back hot mirno stating augury with me want to cancel and I couldn’t and could get someone to do it and they not reimbursement me.

Tech came out and examined our gas unit. He said it needed a new blower motor for it. Turned it in and Choice warranty declined to approve based on what they said was not a normal wear and tear. This is the first time we have turned something into be repair since we to put the policy when we bought our house in June which was $500 for policy. Knowing that they are going to weasel out of paying for a claim I should have kept my money and could easy fix the blower for that money. This is a very poor business and should be ashamed to talk people into buy these gimmick warranties that are worthless. I will be filing a claim with the BBB and will slam you guys on Facebook so no one gets taken advantage of again.

Too many items are not covered such as the Ice Maker which is a part of the fridge or not? Their replacement amount is not always what it should be but their vendors do come to you in a timely manner!

I had a very refreshing section with my account exec., Keeshaun **. This young man was able to answer all of the questions I had regarding me buy a Service Agreement with CHOICE. His attention to details and his professionalism regarding his product is why I purchased the Agreement. Once we completed our conversation, I learned that Choice Home Warranty offered the best value for my money for what I wanted. Mr. ** was also able to save me a few dollars with a "price match" offer and even more savings with something he called "a lock in rate for 3 years". I did my research before I purchased my service agreement and for best value, Choice Home Warranty was at the top of the list. Mr. ** and the product value won me over. Thank you.

Our technician, Edward from Prompt Appliance, was very courteous and friendly. He had a diagnosis very quickly. Choice responded quickly to his diagnosis and decided to replace our dishwasher. I did not agree with the amount they offered and requested contact with a case mgr. Our assigned case mgr, Cheryl **, was very friendly and thorough in her explanation. The only problem I have with Choice Home warranty is that when they say they're going to replace an appliance, they don't actually replace it. They just offer you a pro-rated standard amount instead of full replacement value. Then you have to purchase the new appliance and have it installed yourself.

I submitted a claim as my dishwasher was not working properly. Tech came out and said it needed replaced. I then got hit with a low ball offer and when I pushed that i just wanted it replaced, they said they couldn't do it. I literally just wanted it replaced, instead I get a check where I will have to do the install myself and still spend money out of my own pocket to buy the cheapest one at any store. What a crock.

My faucet was leaking and the repair person came ASAP and took care of the problem. He replaced the broken faucet and explained what had happened. He was polite and answered all my questions and took care of the problem.

The plumbing company sent to fix leaks in the toilets worked fine. I was satisfied with their service. The company's name: Saving Grace Plumbing Co. They were also reliable, on time and easily to get back and forth for connecting with them.

I contacted Choice Home Warranty because I needed to purchase a warranty to fulfill requirements for due diligence on a sale. I was met with a very informative agent, Louis. He provided me with options, letting me know what would be the best deal for me. I didn’t feel pressured. For that same reason I will contact Choice when I close on my new home.

Took an exceptionally long time to schedule service. Fortunately it was not an emergency situation. Realize that most providers were pretty busy due to pandemic and derecho damage, so I can't be too negative with review. Provider was punctual, clean, polite and knowledgeable. All things considered, not a bad experience.

It's hard to really review Choice Home Warranty and especially the technician. My husband was able to fix the problem we were having with our furnace. The downside to the home warranty idea is that when something like your furnace isn't working right, waiting 24 hrs for someone to come take a look at it could have catastrophic results. The call center person I talked was fine. He obviously works from a very limited script. It's like a live automated system - very robotic. It's obvious that they're very limited on what they can say. Probably won't renew when contract expires. If my furnace fails in sub-freezing temps, I'm going to want someone who can respond in a few hours. Burst pipes aren't worth the wait for the "coverage" from the warranty.

They offered me a great price at a locked-in rate. Hopefully I won't have to use them much, but when I do I got a lowered rate for service calls for the three year plan and they look to cover just about all home systems.

It was very convenient to get my heater fixed. Called, explained what was happening, everything was taken care of including tech knowing what I had said when problem was called in. Very good service from start to finish. Tech that showed up was very nice and professional.

After purchasing our new home, we contacted Choice Home Warranty to have our home’s locks rekeyed. They scheduled a locksmith on the same day we made the request. There were 9 locks to rekey and I requested 2 new ones. We are very happy with the services provided. The technician was professional and knowledgeable.

The most recent plumbing issue had me waiting 2 months for CHW to unsuccessfully find a provider. Each time I called, all the representative did was reissue the standard email indicating that you would be DILIGENTLY looking for a provider, but, in fact, I only received one notice and that plumber was 60 miles away and had the wrong town listed. After 2 months I opted for finding my own provider. After I got the work done (just yesterday 1/12/21), it was a nightmare trying to get authorization as I was pot on hold several times as I tried to clarify the situation and had to call back several times as well after being cut off. Needless to say that I am very disappointed with this process and, if this happens again, I will absolutely cancel my contract with CHW.

Dryer cannot be fixed, Live Smart Company kept giving me the run around and never returned my calls. Your gentleman found out they will replace dryer and I will get an email this afternoon with the details. He was kind, courteous and was the only one that was helpful.

My toilet was leaking and flooding the bathroom. Mr. ** called before he came and was right on time. He fixed the toilet leak and changed the inside of the tank in less than an hour. He was very polite and professional. 1 Good Plumber - excellent job - excellent attitude!

The Tech was very polite. He Showed up about 40 minutes late. No communication prior to showing up. No Masks worn. After looking over my water heater only conclusion that was given was, that there have been earthquakes in the area over the last month.

Electrician had to come back on Saturday because of an obstruction in garage, obstruction was cleared before Saturday and someone at Choice decided without regard to the fact everything was ready for the electrician, to unauthorized the job. I am still without electric, choice said they would assign me a claim specialist within 24 hours. I want the same electrician and I want it now. It has been 48 hours no specialist.

I was disappointed that repairman could not fix my water spout because the warranty would not do it. Repairman was more than willing to fix it. You say that the warranty covers the refrigerator! You did not cover it. Nothing else to say.

Sears sent out a technician to see what was wrong with our dryer. He was very quick, knowledgeable, and efficient. Figured out quickly what needed to be repaired and what parts needed to be ordered. Very friendly as well! He was able to explain the repair process, give us a timeline as to how long it would take, and answer all of our questions that we had regarding our appliance and how we would need to proceed with Choice Home Warranty. He made sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed before he left our home.

Mr. Derrick ** was very knowledgeable about my heating unit and quickly identified the problem. He was courteous and kept me informed throughout the appointment through diagnosis process. He was excellent. He was very fast in reporting his assessment to Choice that that you could instantaneously deny my replacement claim for my older electric heating system. I found that most helpful so that I could file a quick appeal. It is winter and not a good time to be without a reliable home heating source.

The technician was nice but he did not have the part to fix the dryer. Been over a week since having the problem. Need it fixed immediately. You guys made two appointments that were cancelled. Had to call in for help 3 times. Very dissatisfied!! Considering ending my contract. Especially after noticing you increased my copay without telling me. The attention to my issue, as well as detailed information thru the process was beyond my expectations. The repair technician was informative, as well as very knowledgeable. We had hot and cold rooms. The thermostat was weird and even the technician said he had never seen one like it. So he replaced it with just a simple on and off temperature which is what we wanted. Now the entire house stays perfect. No more hot or cold rooms. I can assure you we are very glad we have Choice Home Warranty. They have been great with their services and technicians. I highly recommend them to anyone who is either renting or buying.

Paid $2000 for Choice Home warranty. I’ve had the plan for 1 year and this is the first time I’ve filed a claim. Customer service was nice on first call. Was informed they were having trouble finding service technician. Then received call saying service would be provided 1 1/2 weeks later. I called Choice Home Warranty back stating that’s too long to be without an oven. Was told someone would contact me to arrange earlier appointment. 3 days later still haven’t heard from anyone. So frustrated and disappointed!!

Easy process, great prices and the coverage appears to be equal to or better than a previous home warranty we had in another state. Salesperson called as I was about to submit online and saved me money. Based on contract, we should be well covered between the Home Warranty and our Homeowners insurance.

This was quickly done and we will back in service on Friday 1/15/2021. The young man followed Covid-19 guidelines and kept his work area (heater unit in house) very clean and was very kind.

I turned in claim, got response a few hours later saying appointment was set up for next day. Tech called 2 hours before appointment window asking if he could come earlier. Tech quickly figured out that control card needed replacing. Tech sent back to CHW which approved repair, tech came back yesterday (after he called saying he would be back). Tech changed card out, everything working fine.

After a no call no show from the original technician assigned to my claim and dealing with a plumbing issue for two whole weeks, I was very thankful for the next batch of technicians, from First Action Plumbing, assigned to my claim. They actually called and showed up. They were prompt, courteous and professional. The claim was easy to make through the website. The claim status was readily available to review and provided details on the contractor that was assigned to respond. The contractor that performed the service was outstanding. He contacted me within the recommended window he was to arrive and worked with fervent expertise to identify the problem. This has been the best response to any warranty I have ever purchased.

This has been the worst experience that I ever signed up for!!! They find the littlest loophole to get out of covering anything!!! And if you're fortunate enough to have them even consider it is always a song and a dance and minimally covered! I am a widow and I was excited to sign up for this and what a mistake!!!!

Better read the fine print! Eg won’t cover leaking hot water heater because it’s a tank!? That’s all it is - a tank! Trying to cancel and the math they use to provide a refund is crazy. DO NOT GET THIS WARRANTY!!

My dishwasher went out, technician came a very professional said I needed a part, I paid him the 65.00 deductible, he call back and said they would have to replace it, well I feel like I lost the 65.00 because dishwasher is not fix and after I buy another one it will cost me money to have someone to but it in, home warranty should cover that since I am left having to go out and find one, get it to my house, plus you're not giving me but 249.00 for a new dishwasher, while take in off the 65.00 I paid that leaves me with only 184.00 that leaves me about 250.00 to come up with, not much of a home warranty, do the math. I can save my money I send you each month and I will be ahead.

It took a while to get someone to come, maybe two weeks but when they did finally come, they were efficient, professional and I would recommend the company. One part was replaced and another is on order. They are supposed to come back and finish the work.

I was a little disheartened to find out Choice doesn't cover low pressure or clogs. I don't know what the problem is causing the low pressure or clog. Tech says a technician will go out and check. I thought I had coverage for plumbing. This is a plumbing problem. I just a little curious as to why this isn't covered. I will be reading the fine print of what Choice does cover once I get the plan.

I am so sick and tired of dealing with Home Choice warranty. I have been going through pure hell. Sending their techs out here who do not know their butt from the hole in the ground. My system is still not working. I have cut out of pocket $600. They keep sending people out here who do not know what they're doing. I would recommend no one to ever use Home Choice warranty. If they do not do the right thing by me I'm going to take further measures.
I have had numerous heating Services come out here. True. I'm Choice warranty for four years and they still never get it right. They say you need a new thermostat which I did not. I put one in a year prior. I have Central Carolina Air who takes care of my heating purposes, keeping my tune ups on it and everything else. I've had to put out $600 out of my pocket to where it should have been covered. It's not right.
I was on the phone Davis's heating and air who's supposed to have came out today at 11:30. Talk with him last night around 5:30 asking him do you know what a air handler is. Home Choice warranty is the worst company ever. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless they take care of me and refund me back the money I have had to spend, what it should have been covered and get someone out here who knows what they are doing!!! I am going to call to wants to know New Station where I live. Get them to start helping me with this because they won't put up with it and whoever else I can and then maybe my attorney if this isn't taken care of.

When I was researching different warranty companies one of the things I wanted to ensure was that they covered older appliances. Choice told me they did and I went with them. However, when I filed a claim for a older appliance they couldn't get the part to fix it so they did they would only give me money rather than fixing or replacing my oven. I had to pay for them to tell me this! I know it's old and probably wouldn't have parts if it broke. They didn't give me enough money to purchase another much less have it installed! Would not recommend them at all!

All claims were denied. Still not sure why. Called claims dept. and was told that none of my issues qualified for coverage. I have broken plumbing, but it's not covered? The wax ring was leaking and defective and when we picked up the toilet, the flange came with it.

When our garbage disposal started leaking late Saturday night, we called Choice's 24/7 line and reported it. They attempted to find a repair person, even offering to let us choose one of our own on Sunday. They located one Sunday night. By Monday night, the new disposal was installed. For a first time user of this service I felt that some of your customer service people were not very caring. I felt like I was being yelled at for not knowing all the rules of this warranty. Other customer service reps were very helpful. The time to wait for service is too long. Also on your website it states immediate technicians are dispatched. 4 or more hours or even days is not immediate. Technician that was dispatched to our home was amazing.

I'm very disappointed that Choice Home Warranty denied the claim. I appealed as advised to do to find out the next appointment to speak with a case manager in 8 days away. 1/13/21. Come on CHW that's just unacceptable. The rep. only comment is to file an appeal. To have no hot water in the winter months is uncomfortable.

The technician was scheduled to arrive between 11 am and 3 pm on Monday, January 11. He arrived shortly after 3, said he was from Choice, looked at the oven, then presented an invoice for service. I still do not have an oven that works. I do not know when I might get my oven repaired nor do I do not know who is responsible for getting the part to fix the oven.

The dryer wasn’t working properly and the technician quickly identified the issue and did the repair. He replaced the drum belt and lubricated the parts, the inside was very dusty and cleaned up it almost looked like new. Very professional and was done within an hour.

I purchased two policies, one for my current home in one state and the other for my rental home in another state, for three years. The rental home has always been a problem child and my rental agent had consistently success calling Choice Home Warranty to repair or replace items in the rental house. I can't say enough what I would have to pay for over the two years this policy covered for this rental home. I sold it, provided the policy to the new owner as part of the sell. I just renewed another 3 years to cover my current home. Good valuable financial protection for me, good company and type of policy to have for my 17 years old condo. When you buy home warranty you have to be ready for slow service. But not THIS slow. I submitted claims for my washer and dryer November 15. It took them more than month and 3 no-show appointments (3 full days-off for nothing) to send me proper tech to repair dryer. At last. They still cannot properly assign tech to repair my washer and it's almost 2 months since my claim was submitted - it's already January 11 and I don't have tech assigned, no parts ordered and so on. Every time I contact them, their rep tells me they are assigning me tech, then I get email with different info, and when I contact tech myself - the repair company has either another different day and time or no work order at all. I feel like it would be cheaper to buy new washer and dryer. If I would imagine it would be THAT SLOW and complicated, I'd never buy this warranty and never deal with claims to CHW.

Claim denied! Leakage not covered. NO, the issue is no hot water since Wednesday. The leaking was 2 days LATER. I was going to call a couple months ago as it takes forever to get hot water and some taps never got any. The leak only reminded me to call but the no hot water happened 2 days prior. I pay my premiums for years. Do I get service? Now, I get an email to call to receive a call about the problem. Only availability for the case manager is a WEEK from now!!! Really!!!! How long must I wait now just for a phone call... Another week is NOT an option. I need to know by Tomorrow when I'll get a new water heater. It's nearly been a week now without hot water.... Come on!!!
Also, debited again 3 days after my last payment?!! What?! Also, do you cover overhead garage doors? I paid to fix this one 8 months ago but could not afford a new door. It is falling apart!! I was wondering if I could start a claim for that? PLEASE call me at ** asap. I need a new water heater. Had surgery 2 days ago and need to sponge bathe. It's impossible in cold water. The claim was for water heater that had gone out with a leak and no pilot. Choice was unable to find a service that could come to check out the problem and asked me to do it with reimbursement after checking the repair needed invoice. Then a day later found a company to come to Kearny-- it was not Kearny ARIZONA. I have now found someone to do it and will be cancelling my policy. It is not that you did not try but because most service companies have had issues with warranty co. I can find my own service co.

I had a water heater issue and contacted CHW to have it fixed or replaced. The contractor was terrible and did not show up at the appointment window. I had to reschedule. He still didn't show up at the agreed upon time. When he did, he supposedly submitted information to CHW for the work. Five days later, no communication from CHW or the contractor. When I called both parties, they blame each other. With an open claim for so long, CHW needs to follow up with the customer. The contractor should never be used again by CHW. In the meantime, I have personally set up the repairs by a reputable plumbing company and they show up as scheduled. I am out my service fee and CHW doesn't care.

The 'wait time' to get approval for a heating repair in the middle of a winter blast was not great. Priority should be given to cases like that where people are freezing in their homes waiting for 'approval'... Thankfully the repair guy was able to come the very next morning after approval, so the technician was very good.

I called CHW on Friday 1/8/21 to place a claim as my heating system was not working, just to let you know, I live in Maryland and the temperature nowadays is in the twenties. I had a great experience with this claim and I can summarize in the following points: 1) When I called to place a claim, my call was answered within FEW minutes. This is very important for me. 2) Although I called on Friday afternoon, I received an email with an appointment within an hour and I have been scheduled for the next morning, SATURDAY AM. 3) The contractor showed up on time, he was very professional, able to diagnose the problem and fix it right at the first time.

It took over a week to get a claims specialist to start a claim for me. Your customer svc/claim specialist dept needs attention. Most of the reps seemed immature & lacked professionalism. The last rep that I talked to that did place the claims for me, did a fine job & she was thorough, professional & well mannered. It went very quickly with her. However, I have now waited several days for someone, a tech, to call to set up the appt to have my appliances checked & worked on. It has been over the weekend, though, so I am assuming I will hear from someone by Tuesday of this coming week. I chose Choice Warranty for various reasons, but do believe your customer service needs improvement. I want to continue staying with Choice Home Warranty but want customer service reps to do a much better job. Thank you.

I was pleased with the work on kitchen sink, however I had also for a leak to be fixed on bathroom sink as it is a hot water leak and the bathtub needs to be snaked, not draining well. I do need these things still taken care of and feel I do not have to pay copays again. I did not get a receipt of work done either, guys machine was not working if you would send to me. We had the sweetest man come and fix our issue. I was originally schedule for next week but I called him because being without water with 4 kids was unbearable (washing hands, dishes, using the bathroom). He came over on a Saturday within an hour and fixed everything up. He was so polite and kind and I hope we don't have any more plumbing issues but if we do, I hope we get the same guy.

I put in to have my refrigerator ice maker fixed back on 10 December. The 1st Technician they set me up with called at 8:30 pm two nights before the appointment and said he was 30 minutes away and wanted to look at it, no way I'm letting someone in my house at 9 or 10 pm, that's just crazy. Then on Friday the 18th when he was scheduled to come, he was a no call, no show after I waited 6 hours. In fact he didn't call at all until he shows up on Monday night the 21st wanting me to let him fix it, I let him know that his company Wright Appliance had been fired from the job back on Friday.
So a new Tech was set up to come on Sunday the 20th, but after waiting 5 hours for him, he was a no call, no show also! That was assigned to Complete Appliance Repair, I never received anything from that company!!! Still haven't! Then came nearly 2 weeks of "we are so sorry and we are working so hard to find you the best technician". They even pulled the COVID-19 excuse on me after a few days, god if I ever stop hearing that excuse for delays in deliveries and services I think I'll throw a party! Then we went on through both Holiday weeks to close out the year, with nothing but crickets! Such BS!
Finally on the 4th of January they assigned Lamin Electronics to my ice maker fix. They originally were scheduled for the 8th, but that slid to the 9th. The technician arrived figured out what the problem was and what part he needed to fix it. He was professional and obviously knowledgeable. He says the part should be in this week and if at all possible he will install it, same day! Let's hope that all goes well. This is my 2nd claim since last September, let's just say so far they are 1 and 1 and I'm definitely not a fan yet!!!

I had Choice Home Warranty for over a year. More than 6 months after I chose them, I submitted my FIRST claim. My hot water heater had stopped working. They denied the claim. When I called to ask the reason- the woman from customer service responded “it was old”. My response was that is why we purchase this type coverage!
Several months later my 4 year old Samsung fridge quit. The Sears tech was knowledgeable- and said there was a leak- it could NOT be repaired - and fridge needed replaced. He called Choice - in front of my husband and myself. He explained the problem- THEN AFTER LISTENING TO THEM he ADVISED CHOICE REP that he could do what they were telling him to do- but it would only work temporarily- maybe a day or maybe 3 mos- but would NOT fix the issue and it should be replaced. He did as they told him - 3 weeks later - it no longer worked.
I called Choice - the 3 weeks later when it no longer worked and asked for the Sears repairman back. He obviously knew what the leak was and that THEIR band aid would NOT FIX IT. INSTEAD they sent a young guy out- who opened the fridge door - said he would tell his boss- it wasn’t working and someone would be out to look at it. For that I had to pay the 60 service call. He did not look at ANY PART OF THE FRIDGE BUT TO OPEN DOOR AND CLOSE IT. After us calling them 3x to ask when they would be back to try to fix it- over 6 weeks later the same young guy returned—OBVIOUSLY NOT A REPAIR PERSON- said he was there to TAKE A PICTURE OF THE INFORMATION ON THE FRIDGE (serial number, etc). Again- he did NOTHING ELSE. He collected another 60 though not a second was spent looking at the fridge- - except to take a pic.
Bottom line- 1 reason we chose them at that time was the ability to choose the companies we wanted to service our home. We asked repeatedly over the next 3 months to send the Sears appliance repairman who has worked on appliances for Sears for 28 years. They refused. After 3 months they FINALLY sent the same kid who said the boss would come soon and wanted another 60. Service charge which I stupidly gave him. WE NEVER SAW ANYONE ELSE. The claim was denied - though no serviceman looked at it or tried to repair it those 3x. The “boss” never came to inspect it.
I called several times asking how they could deny a claim without anyone looking at it or working on it though we in good faith paid service calls. The last time I called- the customer service woman I spoke with said it was “because of debris under it”. That was ridiculous since it slides incredibly easily in and out and it’s swept/mopped around and under twice a week - BUT—- the person they sent NEVER EVEN TRIED TO MOVE OR EVEN INSPECT IT. SO HAD THERE BEEN DIRT A FOOT DEEP- they would never have known. Because of where it was placed- and the fact that it is a SECOND FRIDGE IN OUR KITCHEN- he did not even have to move it to take the picture of the numbers he supposedly needed. 2 claims in well over a year of having it!! Both DENIED. They are WORTHLESS.

The unit has been maintained but choice says they did not replace the part due to corrosion. I am disappointed and replaced the part at my own expense!

I Called over a holiday weekend. Tech was found that day. The only issue was waiting for the part. Once it was delivered, he was here in a couple of hours. My furnace is working very good. Tech was very nice and apologized for the delay of part.

Feel like I am being punished for CHW not able to handle phone calls due to COVID-19. The individual who finally called back wouldn’t even listen to reason. Had Freezing temperatures and after waiting over an hour for a return call I had set up an appointment with a very qualified technician. CHW declined to cover the charges because I did not wait longer for them to call back. It was so cold I just couldn’t continue to wait.

4 weeks laterish? I'm still trying to get my refrigerator claim taken care of. I had 1 person out, you guys wanted 2nd opinion, so after a few more weeks, someone finally picked up the claim to tell you guys that it needed replaced as well. We submit that and now you guys are telling me I need to deal with manufacturer warranty. I called manufacturer warranty and it's been out of warranty for 3 years. Now I submit an appeal, no clue what to expect now but it truly seems impossible to submit a claim and get something replaced.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Very poor business practices. Had a problem with my AC. They sent a repairman to check. He said the problem was not covered by the warranty. The repairman sent by CHW offered to fix the problem for $1,500. After much debate w/ CHW called another AC company and had the issue resolved for 1/3 of that and it was not caused by the problem stated by the CHW repair service. I will not do business with this company any longer.

Technicians have been knowledgeable, experienced and professional....However I have issues with company itself. I was told by sales agent that if it couldn't be fixed it would be replaced. It is too early to do a full review as the repair has NOT been completed. I would be happy to do a review AFTER the repair has been completed. I would say initially we would have preferred to have some input into the time of the appointment vs just informing us when it was to be done. Also, the technician did not arrive during the window indicated. We waited a half a day only to be informed he was running late after the time indicated he would be arriving. He said he texted us but a phone call would have been more appropriate.

They did not send the company the work order so the original day they were supposed to be here because they didn’t have any knowledge of the order put in. It is amazing how fast CHW works. I just put my claim for the problems I am having with my stove at 1150 PM and by 1201 AM I already have a date and time that the technician will be at my home to fix the problem. Ya'll have scheduled a plumber 3 times and he has not shown up. You need to find a different one. I had to sit home 2 extra days waiting on him and he was still a no show. I will have to call again and schedule another plumber.

For 2019 - I would have given Choice Home Warranty a 4 out of 5. For 2020, not so much. Never had to call for repairs/service until Oct 2020 for my HVAC. The unit stopped working. Tech came out and of course, it works for him. Fast forward to Christmas Day. Same unit not working. No heat and the temp in the home is 53 degrees. Emailed for a service call and the chaos started. I understand it's the holiday but I have service techs in my area that would have come to my home on the 26th. Choice Home Warranty did not/would not allow me to use the techs that I had in my area. They wanted people that were "in network" that were hours away and could not come to my home until the 30th. Unacceptable and very unprofessional...

I feel like if an appliance can not be fixed they should give you the cost of a new one with the same features even if it cost more. Everything goes up never down. Say it’s been 5 years since you bought a washer. It breaks and can’t be fixed. The same brand, newer model will cost more than it did 5 years ago.

My 17 month old Frigidaire refrigerator in my second home was not cooling. Choice sent out a tech, who was very competent and pleasant to diagnose. Within 24 hours I was told that they would give me a payout because refrigerator could not be fixed. I am happy with the timely service but not the allowance for a new refrigerator and the amount of time that we’ll be without one.

This trouble call worked as advertised! However my last Covered problem was a catastrophic Hot Water Heater failure which Choice said it will not reimburse me for. They stated I would have to wait (more than a week) for one of their techs to diagnose and repair/replace the water heater. I had to call in a plumber to stop the water leaking into my Laundry room, bath room and hallway. Short answer Quick response limited the damage 20 $19000 dollars and choice would not reimburse me any of the $1600 to replace the covered Water Heater!!!! Choice is not here to help you!! I would not recommend this company after the issues I have and do not intend to renew!

After doing much research, I decided to switch from another company to Choice. I got a quote online and phoned in to get a price for a third HVAC (not available without calling). The gentleman I spoke with was at first very helpful. Once we agreed on what I needed, he proceeded to start my payment. At this time I mentioned I wanted to pay monthly. He first said "no, it is all up front" to which I said I saw a monthly option online and that is what I want. He then started telling me how much money we could save going the other route and found a Veterans discount. I listened and again said thanks but I want to go the monthly route. Exasperated he asked "even if you will save money the other way?" I said yes, I STILL want to pay monthly. His demeanor changed instantly and he literally said "welcome to Choice, Goodbye" and disconnected the line. I was less than satisfied with his service. But I think I still made the correct decision to go with Choice.

Home warranty has proved to only be good for promises. Repairs still have to be done by someone not associated with Choice Home Warranty. Literally, left in the Cold on the coldest night of the year. Choice didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that the work order was completed (unfinished [CANCELLED]. I cannot ever recommend this type of support.

I would never recommend this company. My heater went out and they refused to pay. It was the compressor. They said it was not due to normal wear and tear. They said normal wear and tear does not start till 12 years and my unit was 11 years old. I called several other ac/heating companies including the one Choice sent out. I was told that what Choice had said was not true by all of them. I was referred to a case manager at Choice where she tried two times while we were on the phone to contact the company they sent out. She was unable to speak to someone. So she told me sorry but they were not going to pay. She was not willing to look anymore into it. Waste of time to speak to her. She only gives you 15 minutes to discuss the matter with her and then you have to get off the phone.
This was the second claim I have had with Choice in a year. My ac only had a 10 year warranty, my unit was 11 years old now and they say normal wear and tear does not start till 12 years. How convenient for them. The thing is this part was going to be approximately 2,000 with everything, so that's the real reason they will not pay. What good is a warranty company that won't pay when you need it most. This was a hard hit to me and my family!! No compassion or heart to try to even reach out to find out if it could be to normal wear and tear. Would NEVER NEVER recommend this company!

Repair was done quickly and properly but repair was only necessary because the work wasn't done correctly the first time. We had the temperature sensor replaced but it was spliced to an existing wire that was frayed such that the sensor wasn't functioning. We had to pay for a second trip out to have them replace the frayed wire.

The technician was courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. He helped restart the dishwasher and told me what was wrong. I was later contacted by Choice Home Warranty who informed me that they would replace the dishwasher. After further discussions a reimbursement price was agreed upon.

I had previously discussed with Choice a claim that you sent a contractor for and misdiagnosed the problem. I later had to call my preferred contractor to a service call to fix the air conditioner. This amount was $186. Choice took my information and then I heard nothing else. I was told my next service call would be of no charge yet, I had to pay this one $45. Also, I have no reimbursement for the air conditioner repair, no information to extended months of coverage. It is as if you did nothing with my complaint.

Mr ** came when he said he would and repaired my washer quickly and got me back in less to do my laundry. My washer is 14 years old. My husband bought it for me in 2006 because he was about to have heart surgery and I don't think he thought he was going to live through it. We were having problems with the old one we had. I love Choice for the price of their service. My only issue is when a vendor is selected to respond to an issue at my house it is usually a week before they can schedule to come even look at what the problem is. Then is a part needs to be ordered and approval from Choice needs to be made. It is sometimes another week or two. This happened with my washing machine and now waiting a week for my dishwasher to be looked at. I have recommended Choice to friends and family for the price. Fortunately I have not had any major breakdowns that would put my family in excessive discomfort. Laundromat and hand washing dishes is a good character builder for teens.

The tech was good, honest, clean and professional. I paid for a 3 year contract. CHW low balled replacement cost. They never replace appliances as in send them to you like other home warranty companies.. They seem to have base prices which do not include costs associated with the replacement process identified in your contract. I accepted an increased offer only because of COVID19 and not wanting to go to a laundry mat. It was not a significant increase but will allow me a no brand basic dryer at approx $100 out of pocket cost. Installing myself. Disappointed.

Waited several hours for a tech to call; after several emails and calls to CHW finally got a call from a tech; but ended up after hours, necessary for handicap bathroom. I had to pay entire bill upfront; CHW will cover less than 1/2. Waiting to hear why the cap and further direction to submit bill; also answers to? concerning maintenance and out-of-pocket expense. I feel the CHW REP should have been able to find one of the companies (due to handicap situation) within the 6 hour period we had to wait for a callback. Thankfully, job was well done later that evening.

Meanwhile my family was and still are very uncomfortable with no heat in our house! After I called back and complained they said that the heating company could come on Monday, I feel like they need more contracts with 24/7 heating repair companies. It’s no way I should have to buy 4 space heaters and put my family at risk, due to Covid we can’t even go and stay with anyone in the family and we can’t afford a hotel room so we just have to stick it out.

Do not cover the water heater (tank) or heat pump (which is essential in Florida). Small language in the contract. It is a waste of money. Putting the money in the bank and if you need it you have it, that is a good move not a warranty company. George Foreman should be ashamed of himself for advertising a poor investment.

I am happy with the service I am receiving from CHW so far. I have opened 3 claims with them and they were very courteous and professionals in helping me out. The first claim they were struggling finding an specialist in my area and they reached out to me, shared their issue with, and offered me to choose my own technician and they would reimburse them. But, before I find my own specialist they dois one and sent to my house. The only reason that I am not loving them, is that the specialist they found did. It fix the problem. I told CWH and open a new claim, they found a new specialist but so far no one have contacted me.
I think what is missing from CHW is just a follow up with the customer, a simple call, to find out how is the interaction/services that the third party they hired is providing. My point is if the third party they hired do not provide a good service, as much as we tried to be fair, this end up smearing CHW reputation as an excellent business.

Recently my laundry Washer was broken and the technician suggested I might need to replace the drum, which can be more expensive than the replacement.
