Nick was superb. Conscientious, thorough. Scheduler should have called phone number on record, not texted, to notify me of later arrival. Number was landline. I ran a quick errand. Nick arrived a little early. He waited until I returned. I appreciate that.

Not very pleased with your service. I called last on Sunday for my dishwasher, first received wrong email confirmation. Needed to call again to see if this was corrected. Then received an email that they could not find anyone to work on my claim and your company wanted me to cancel out the order and do this on my own. As of this email no updates, no information, only emails asking my opinion of your company that I have not done twice and still no response. Not a happy person, yes am aware this could be because of Covid-19 but how much more are we to suffer because of this? All I want is my dishwasher to clean my dishes.

I don't feel supported, understood or cared for by CHW. I have a dishwasher that cost $450. They would not fix it and only gave me $240 to replace it. I feel slighted and cheated. Beside this, I had to wait 3 weeks before a technician contacted me. Each time I called to inquire about when someone would come, they'd say, you can get your own technician. But that's what I pay CHW for. It was disheartening working with them.

When our hot water heater started to leak slowly, there was no help given as Choice called it then a "holding tank". When the Motherboard failed, it was paid for. When we called about the washing machine we found that my husband was able to repair it. We were told by Choice that because of Covid, they could not locate a technician to come out so we should call one of our own. However after a couple of days, Choice found one but we didn't need him then. The only thing we have been reimbursed for was the cost of the motherboard.

Had an issue with my dishwasher on a Sunday night, opened a claim that night and next morning I had my appointment with the technician, they were prompt and on point. I feel so much more comfortable knowing my home is secured, I am in processed a buying another home and will definitely get the policy for the new home.

Great experience! I received a prompt response to my call and an appointment was set soon after. The technician was knowledgeable and conscientious and listened intently to what I had to say. He even called ahead to see if I would be available a little earlier than the scheduled appointment time - freeing up my evening! I couldn't be more pleased... Thank you!

I put in a request for service and within an hour received a confirmed appointment for the following day. The service team arrived early after asking permission and were in and out, completing the repair quickly and professionally. I have used two different well-known home warranty companies in the past and neither were as efficient and responsive, and their contractors were shady.

I made a tremendous mistake by requesting information on home warranties and all of a sudden, my phone started ringing off the hook. The remainder of the companies respected my wishes and stopped calling when I told them I had just reinstated my home warranty for a year was only looking for information at this time. Choice Home Warranty has been harassing me for months since this enquiry. I had seriously considered reviewing them again when my current warranty was close to ending but after all the annoying calls, I have no desire to ever do business with this company. I would appreciate anything you can do to eliminate this problem.

Claim was set up fast and technician came same day and fixed problem. Could not ask for better service. Technician called as soon as he received claim. He was very friendly and professional. We would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty.

We had the sellers of our current home purchase the home warranty since our house was built in the 70's with old appliances. This is my first experience with a Home Warranty company (Choice Home Warranty). The one good thing they did was replace our condenser unit for the AC and they almost didn't do that because the coils barely had dirt in the lower back half which would be about 1/16 of the unit. We had them send someone out to fix a leak in our pipes. He said it needed to be replaced, apparently they pushed back because he never replaced it, instead he "fixed" it and 35 days later (outside of the replacement window of 30 days) it is leaking again and we will have to file a completely new claim and pay $65 for them to fix something they should have fixed the first time.
Finally, and most frustratingly, our double wall oven broke. By broke I mean that the power switch would not turn off so the oven stayed on at all times causing an extreme fire hazard. Because double ovens are expensive they tried to have 3 different technicians come out and replace a part. They knew it could not be replaced since they do not make this oven nor the part anymore. Choice also is only allotted a second opinion, so I had to fight them on that because it is extremely inconvenient since my wife and I work during the week. They settled and said that they would replace it. They literally only gave us $1,081.00. You can not find a double oven that cheap. You can not find a double oven that cheap and have someone install it for that much. You can not find a double oven that cheap, have someone install it, and haul away the old one for that cheap.
I tried to talk to a "case manager" which was completely useless. She did not care and did not help. She said the price was the "average market value" and when I asked to see how they came to that conclusion she said that she did not have to give me that information. This company already has lawsuits against them in other states. DO NOT USE THEM. They will try to penny pinch, half way fix any problem and will not give you the full amount needed to purchase a new appliance and have it installed.

Service was great...but I never received any kind of notice the service fee had changed. Been with CHW for years and feel this is very inconsiderate on their behalf. Paying $45 for years and I don't use the service but maybe once or twice a year. Extremely unhappy.

My friend recommended this company. When I hear the rates I could not believe. It is so affordable and they are helpful. I was not going to sign the contract but after our talk I was very impressed. So I purchased it right away.

When I noticed my AC did not seem to be blowing cold, I checked the compressor outside to see if it was working. When I heard a humming sound and saw that the blades were not turning, I shut the system down and made a claim online with my Choice Home Warranty. Soon thereafter I was notified that a technician was scheduled to come to my home the following day and was provided with the name and phone number of the local company that would be responding. When Carlos showed up I explained what I knew and went back inside the house. About 20 minutes later the technician came to my door, showed me the box for the new part, explained that he had replaced the capacitor, and I found my AC working fine. I couldn't be happier with Choice Home Warranty from beginning to end. Thank you!

I did not think I had to pay after paying service fee. Not satisfied with experience with CHW in regards to coverage. I was under the understanding that you cover 100%. Not partial of the cost of the product that I have in my residence

The technician was very professional. He call before he came and arrived on time. He quickly determined the motor burnt out and that the garbage disposal needs to be replaced. Although he still needs to return to replace the garbage disposal, the initial meeting was very positive.

Pipe in basement rusted and leaking. My claim was denied and I had to pay Technician out of pocket. I asked the agent if the work would be covered and was told it would be. However when the Tech arrived and called it in Choice Warranty it was denied. This is the second time that I was denied for a project. I am frustrated with this process.

Our dishwasher stopped working and I sent a request for service (on a Friday afternoon). I was initially informed that service wouldn't be until Tuesday morning but the repair company was able to come out Monday afternoon instead. My dishwasher ended up needed parts that are said to take a couple weeks to come in so I will wait and see what happens then. I paid the service call fee and the repair guy said that is all I would need to pay, even when the parts come in and it has to be installed.

It took two weeks to get a technician because of Covid virus, by the time one got here I had find someone to repair for me. I told the tech when he called me the day he was to show up at the house that I found someone to repair the stove and he said he would notify Choice.

I placed a claim to deal with a plumbing leak in my kitchen. Service was quick and efficient. The service provider was very professional. It turns out that the problem was a faulty garbage disposal, which he replaced with no hassle at all.

After contacting CHW about my built in microwave oven I received an email from them with a confirmation of a service tech appointment. The service tech was professional and quickly determined that a replacement oven was warranted. The settlement offer was offered the next day.

Technician worked on pipes. We need to await if the smell returns. The technician was a bit irritated that he entered the 1st floor and had to go to the 2nd floor at the beginning. He then had to go to the basement to get the fee and wanted to have his service fee before he begin the work. He Thank you.

Updated on 02/27/2021: This was the second claim for the same problem within a month of each other. The technician fixed the problem temporarily so we did not lose any more food, and ordered the parts needed for a permanent fix and set up the next appointment date. Choice's response to this claim was much better than the first claim. We had to wait too long to get a technician out for the first claim.
Original Review: Once you got a technician out, he did a good job. However, it took CHW over 1 week to find a technician. It will be another 2 weeks before the repair is completed due to having to order parts. Totally unacceptable.

Extremely weak after-sales support. I have not received the confirmation email nor any documents/agreement confirming my services. No response from the Sales Rep, Steve yet though a message was left for him. I signed up for this service despite negative reviews from your customers as I was informed that you have improved over the years but very disappointed.

After less than 2 weeks in my home, the water heater quit working. I was able to open a claim, they sent out a technician and I had hot water again. Choice kept me up to date with calls and emails. It was really simple.

First I was lied to by sales person on what was covered and not covered. As well as out of pocket. I’ve canceled my policy and if ever asked I will NEVER recommend you guys and that’s in big of the last Resolutions Manager I spoke with. Very rude and disrespectful after I decided to leave! He should be fired if he talks to your customers that way. I would leave 0 stars if I could.

Today is my first time filing a claim online. It was very easy and felt much more efficient than filing a claim on the phone. I highly recommend it to everyone who has a Choice Home Warranty. I have not been assigned a local service provider yet, but as far as filing the claim, doing so on the website is definitely the way I will file any claims in the future. It is a very smooth process.

I used my warranty on the day it started & they told me it was impossible for a wire to burn out on my hot water heater overnight. I ask the tech & he said it just happened. It took 3 days to get someone out to my house. I appealed & now it says I have to wait 8 days to schedule an appointment to talk to the case manager over the appeal. This is crazy!! I was accused of having a bad hot water heater when I bought the policy. Who in their right mind goes a month without hot water, especially in the winter. Not off to a good start with this company.

I am satisfied with Choice and I am satisfied with Adams service, but my problem with Adams Electrical Service was the lack of courtesy I received. For the first date scheduled for the service I called them and informed them that it was an good date and that I would be home. Well, no one came and I did not received a call. I called them later in the day and left a message. I few days later they called me and left a message that they could do the service on a given date. I called several times to ensure them that the date would not work - since I kept getting the Voicemail service.
Finally I received a call in person with an apology for not showing up the first date, but there was an emergency that took the time. I said that I was angry for not receiving the call on the given date. We set another date that was agreeable to me. Once the technicians came I was informed that the amount was $65, instead of the $60 on the print out. Once they discovered the cause of the problem, I ask for them to have the company send me an estimate of what it would cost to make the adjustment that would keep the light from flickering in the kitchen when the dishwasher or disposal was running. (It appears that all are on the same circuit). I have not received any estimate or an appointment from anyone to review the situation or a call from the company. I can live with the problem, but if I sell my house, I may be required to make a change if it is possible.

You haven't done anything yet? I called Thursday. Was put on a waiting list for a call back. Was never called back. Called again Friday. Got thru and have a claim started but you have not found me a plumber yet. Been waiting 2 days not counting weekend. Do your job, find me a plumber, then we will talk about ratings. So far it's a ZERO.
In a recent review of your claim, our records show that a technician was assigned to your claim and an appointment was scheduled for Monday February 8th, 2021 between the hours of 11:00 AM and 03:00 PM.

I was told that my service fee will be the same as my other policies of $45... I agreed with the rep and paid for 5yrs+1... Verified again to make sure my service fee is $45... rep said yes and we didn't talk about any other service fee amount... Paid and got my email confirmation on my new policy with $65 service fee!... Where did that come from?!!! Please correct the service fee on my policy as your rep told me... $45!!! A loyal client with more than 7 accounts with you. Don't deserve to be tricked this way... and I don’t appreciate this action!

Although the spring on my garage door opener was not covered, Choice was prompt and efficient, as was the technician that came out for the repair. Not happen that I paid out of pocket for the repair but we are still satisfied with the efficiency.

We have not had any luck with AC repairs being covered with your warranty company. We will not be renewing after our term. The technician that came out was wonderful and we have our system serviced every 6 months so I know the AC is not neglected but no matter what is wrong with it you have an exclusion to not cover it.

Technician from Dam Good Plumbing was excellent. He identified the problem quickly, put in the new part required, and left not mess. Very nice guy who was experienced and able to identify our problem and solve it quickly. We were very pleased with the turnaround time.

Called about repair of home dishwasher. Got agent quickly and was taken care of and am waiting on repair source call. Agent was helpful and friendly and satisfied my call request. The technician was very courteous and respectful. He called and identify himself as the tech who was scheduled to come out to repair my stove. Upon arrival he wore mask and practice social distancing. When he was finished looking at the stove he explained to me what the problem was. I will surely recommend him to anyone and also recommend Choice Home Warranty to my friends and neighbors.

I had a fan broken. Home Choice hired a technician with very quick turnaround for the repair. My claim was approved for the replacement of new fan. In summary I am very happy and just for a min co-pay.

I had three people to come out and service my boiler and it still make that combustion, also, you can smell the gas being released. I called on a Saturday morning about 5 :30 in the morning. My main drain backing up in my house and I could not use the facilities in my home. I was told no one could get to me until Tuesday. That was horrible.

Technician was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. A nice guy. He took care of the problem we were experiencing with the heat and soon we had heat again. It turned out to be a burnt low voltage fuse but the reason for the fuse burn out could not be determined. We will wait to see if it happens again then attempt to trace down the cause.

Nathan was knowledgeable of the coverage, and gave us several options. We chose one year coverage, adding coverage for two additional freezers and one additional refrigerator, with the AARP Discount for total premium of $612.00, with coverage starting March 1, 2021 and billed it to my MasterCard. We may be interested in multi-year options in the future. We received the survey with no confirmation of our order.

My washer and dryer all in one couldn’t be repaired. Choice sent over technicians to try to repair my all in one washer and dryer that I paid over $800 for. The technician said that it could not be repaired so Choice gave me a choice. Either I can get a new one for over $800 value or I can take a pay off for over $800 cash. To me it was amazing choices. I am very disappointed with my recent claim with CHW. I've been a customer for over 5yrs and just bought a new 5yr plan. I bought a home 5mo ago and had the heating & cooling system cleaned and serviced prior to move in. After 2 months of using my heater, it stopped working. The technician was here the next day but CHW decided not to honor the claim.

We paid upfront for 6 years and after 3 years in when we had our first incident a Dryer repair, it took 2 weeks for them to schedule an initial visit after which they needed to come back and replace a part. It's been 6 weeks since and I have made several calls and tried to follow-up but no clear response. They keep pushing it 2 weeks down every single time.
The customer service is TERRIBLE. I spoke to this agent named "Wisline" who was rude and said it doesn't matter to them when it will be fixed. I asked her for options when I followed up and she said you have no options but to wait until we let you know. This is terrible service. STAY away. I am going to switch to "American Home Shield".

Replaced a hose that was leaking at a toilet. They came when they said they would show up. Came 2 days after calling in claim. Plumber had to go to store to buy a part to fix the problem. But he came right back.

Very nice experience, repairman was friendly and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what was wrong and went about his business to fix it. So far so good--no leak from water dispenser in door. I'm glad to have it back in service. If I wanted to use it I had to mop up the floor as it leaked.

I submitted a claim for a hot water heater/piping issue last week and am not at all satisfied with how Choice addressed my issue. We had a technician come out, we paid $60 for the service call, he called in the diagnosis and Choice CHANGED the diagnosis information to a different issue that Choice does not cover. This seems way too convenient for Choice and has me questioning whether I should continue using Choice as a home warranty provider. In the meantime we were without hot water for 3 days while Choice went back and forth with us and the technician, so we had to call another repairman to come out and fix the issue so we could get back to normal life. I have a call with a case manager tomorrow, 02/02/21 and I hope that Choice makes good on some portion of this repair.

Most of the time whenever a technician comes in to inspect what's wrong with any system at the house they do their job properly but then Choice Home warranty most of the time declines the claim saying it's not covered. I do not understand what's the point in having warranty services when major & expensive claims are covered by the warranty company.

The sales rep (Fred **) lied about the coverage and the process to con me out of my money. After reading the contract I confronted him and others about the lies told to me on the phone. Fred went ahead and sent me an amended contract via e-mail stating that my only out of pocket expense would be the service call and you would replace the items with like brand and model. There are several other lies as well.

The service tech came out the day after the claim was filed and determined that the motor in the blower cage needed to be replaced. The claim was approved right away and had the part with him on his truck to make the repair so it would have been a very quick and easy one but the cage itself was old and had to be taken to his shop to remove the old motor from it which also done the same day. The furnace was operational after repairs were made and my tenant was happy. This was the the third claim made with my policy and the only one that went smoothly without any issues. The first two were denied for dubious reasons and had to fight them to get approved - the first experience the service tech they sent out was incompetent and just God awful very rude, unprofessional and unethical.

I will be very honest about my experience. The technician was wonderful. He checked out my washing machine. Found out what was wrong. It was a major repair which I denied because you said it was abuse. Let me tell you one thing. There was no abuse on this washing machine. I lost my husband three years ago. There's nobody here but me so how can a woman's underwear shirts dresses and blue jeans which most of them are leggings would crack or tear the drum. It would not so I don't know what you're thinking but I'm waiting for a call from someone that would be assigned to this this claim. I paid y'all in good faith. Gave you my hard-earned money that was in savings but I really didn't have because I knew I would be protected and now I find out that you're just a hoax. My neighbor had a his same issue with y'all with her heating system so someone needs to call me this morning.

I am not happy with your company. Almost every time I need a repair, I am told it's not covered. I regret singing a contract with your company and I will not recommend your company to friends or neighbors. The service tech came out, listened to my concerns and said to replace the ceiling fan. He did not look at the fan even when I said I thought the remote was the problem. He told me the remote was not covered by the contract I have, I paid him the $45. He sent me an email regarding the repair. And for $175 more the remote would be replace. I told him I would not be needing his services any longer. Everything was great. The customer service person I called was very helpful. They got someone out within 24hours, on a weekend. Chris showed up within the window quoted and called me to let me know expected arrival as a courtesy. He was extremely professional, worked efficiently and cleanly, observing covid protocols and kept me informed through the process. He definitely went above and beyond. I only have one comment. When I received my email confirming my claim it was not for the current issue. Needed to call back again to verify the correct claim was going to be addressed. The other issue is with Covid they are not finding anyone who will work on my claim, and suggest I opt out and find my own personal for the repair, what is the point of having a warranty program if you are not able to use it.

The day I made a claim for my water heater and shower faucet, I received a email with a date and time that the technician would be out for repairs. I was able to push my date back with the technician with no problems. 5 days before my appointment, I get a call from the technician stating the he would be there in 30 minutes. Policy is not worth having. They don't pay. Deny claims. I will be canceling. I made a claim on a washer that was no more than 4 yrs old. They did approve the claim and I received 200 dollars to purchase a new washing machine which you can't find for nowhere near that price. Heat pump went out. Denied. Save your money for your own repairs.

We are unhappy with the repair professionals. Someone came out to repair our garage door opener and installed new one and repair was awful. Wires now exposed whereas the original with house was not. Not impressed by the repair that Choice Warranty outsources to.

We needed both our wash machine and ice maker serviced. It took a few days before we were able to get a service person to look at our problems. The technician was polite and appeared to know his job. He told us he needed to order parts for the repairs but the washer was in pretty bad shape. Two days later we received a note from Choice that they would be giving us money towards a new wash machine. We are still waiting to hear when the part for our ice maker will be installed.

CHW has dispatched a tech three (3) time to address an ice maker that refuses to drop its ice cubes into the bin. The ice maker tray assembly has been changed twice, it worked for one (1) day and has not worked again. Please replace the entire ice maker assembly this time! I filed a claim for my dryer not heating on 01/23/2021. On 01/25/2021 received an email from CHW stating that CHW could not find a repair service locally to repair my Samsung dryer. For me to find someone myself. I did this after contacting over nine (9) repair services. Only two (2) in my area would even work on a Samsung product. None of these services wanted to work with CHW in any way. Claiming of how difficult getting paid from CHW and how chintzy CHW was about paying a decent and proper amount for their services.
I employed a service - "The Specialist". They came to my home on 01/26/2021 and found the heating unit was defected and not working. The part was ordered on 01/26/2021. Was installed on 01/29/2021 and my dryer heats just fine. Now the issue is about CHW and the reimbursement process from CHW. The service that repaired my dryer would not contact CHW in any way. They do not want anything to do with CHW. So what is next? Will CHW repay for any of these repairs on my Samsung dryer? Please contact me ASAP. Thanks.

I believe the service was excellent and follow through was excellent however my unit was determined ineligible for repair and the offer for replacement was only half of the worth even with depreciation. I greatly appreciate the offer and accepted it, however in order to find a new appliance of same value, I still have to add the same amount I was offered to cover the cost. CHW says they will replace a item if they can't fix it. What I got was a offer of 300.00 and change for me to replace my built in oven. The best I can find retail is 1700.00 installed. When I questioned the large difference I was given a bunch of mumbo jumbo where I was told that isn't what the contract reads it only calls for this small amount Needless to say I will be dropping CHW and shop for another business that lives up to its advertisement.

I was very frustrated about Choice. I am the victim of this lying company. I was denied many times of my claims. Recently they reject my claim about the motor of the pool and recently about the relay of the electric system. They argue the motor rusty etc... How to prevent this system exposed outside? Two years ago my refrigerator stopped working. I phoned Choice Home Warranty. A technician was sent out; he could not repair the problem. Another technician was sent and I was told that the compressor could not be repaired. At this point I had been without a refrigerator for two days. The problem with the refrigerator was not solved by either technician. Choice Home Warranty did not provide a solution to this problem. I purchased a new refrigerator and have been extremely angry with Choice Home Warranty since then. Your company did not live up to your advertisement.

The problem with the HVAC system started in July of 2020. The technicians visited the house several times with different solutions. Finally, they repaired the unit and left. We are still having the same problem and I made a new claim last Friday. The technician from a different company is suppose to come over Monday and check the system again.

My last few claims have been assigned to service providers who were not very good. My most recent experience was for a plumbing issue. You assigned it to Young's Water and Sewage. They never showed up... claiming CHW didn't send them the work order. When I called them I was eventually transferred to the office manager Mark. I found him to be abrasive and not particularly interested in helping me. It remains to be seen if they show up on 2/1/21.
The HVAC service provider assigned did nothing to fix the problem. They only wanted to sell me a maintenance contract. I had to get my own HVAC company and file a reimbursement claim. CHW has a good customer service team. They assign the work orders in a timely manner. But in my opinion, the service providers are not very good.

Updated on 04/18/2021: We had a problem with our air-conditioner and Choice sent a man by and fixed it. It’s been working great since. We would recommend Choice. It takes the worrying out of things breaking down and not knowing how to fix them.

I called to report we were having a problem with out heating system. The person took the report and sent in a request for a repairman. The next day a girl named Claudia called me and said that they couldn’t come that day it would be the next day. I could hardly hear her because of a barking dog, so I asked her if she could move to a quieter area and she answered no. I then ask if she could try another repair company and again the answer was a blunt no.
She is very unprofessional and not helpful at all. She just more or less told me I could wait and then I ask if she would have a supervisor call me and she said she would put in a request and it might take 24 hours to get a call back but it wouldn’t do any good because they would tell me the same thing. I have yet to hear from a supervisor so I assume she didn’t request a call back. When the repairman did arrive he fixed the system which was fine. I just think you need better supervision of your customer service person Claudia because she is totally bad at her job.

The air conditioner company I had a warranty with came out for our annual service check. They said there was a leak in the system somewhere. They were going to charge me $400 to investigate where the leak was coming from and up to $1,200 to repair. I had only been a customer of Choice Warranty for a few months. I called them and asked if we were covered for service. They said they would set up claim for me and scheduled a service call.
Two repairmen showed up on time and were extremely seasoned and knowledgeable. They knew what kind of issues different air conditioner manufacturers usually developed so they knew exactly where to look per our type of air conditioner. The leak was found and fixed it in less than 1 hour. We researched several home warranty companies before we decided on Choice Warranty. They explained our coverage fully, had no hidden fees and always responded to our calls for information right away. This was our first claim with them and I was extremely happy with the results. I will never go anywhere else. They are honest and dependable. You can't ask for anything more. They're the best!

I had an electrical issue with my garage lights throwing the breaker. I had submitted my claim online. I was contacted by text that Choice Warranty had received my claim. Due to COVID 19 the businesses were not as quick to respond to a work order as usual. They offered me a chance to use a company I choose and reimburse me of the costs. I was not able to pay for the service. So I called to see if they will continue to look for a company. I was assured they will continue. As soon as a company responded, I received an email from them to inform me of the company who will take care of my claim. While rep was initially helpful, he became impatient when told to hold off on activating policy until I completed conversations with other companies and my husband. Calls to rep go to voicemail and difficult to escalate problem thru customer service. Relying on my bank for help.

The experience getting my broken kitchen disposal repaired/replaced was one of the better ones I have had with Choice Home Warranty, probably because it was actually covered by the warranty. Most claims I have made have been denied, so this was definitely better to get the problem fixed.

It's been a constant bad idea to have contracted with CHW, their service is really poor, but fortunately the companies that do the job are almost always very good. I will recommend that you spend a little more and find a mere reliable company than CHW.

I feel like the sales process is very high powered, leaving me with a sense of "it's too good to be true." And, there is a push to sign up now, rather than make an appointment to call back. Even though I have already bought, based on a 30 day cancelation ability, I am skeptical that they will deliver what they have promised. I have not received the agreement yet, outlining the coverage, but will read it very carefully and question anything that is not what they promised. They need to back off on the high pressure. This is a major purchase and allow people the time to make an intelligent decision.

I finally had to tell him, I made the purchase that I chose and would not consider anything else at this time. I told him, there is no need to high pressure sell me and we were done. Furnace quit Wednesday morning at 7. Repairman came Thursday morning. Said he would need to report and get approval from Choice. He said he would return Friday morning. A different repairman came and installed replacement part at approximately 2 pm Friday. Furnace repaired by 230 pm.

I will never recommend anyone to your company. I wasted $85 for a technician to come out to my home for a service call only to have your company deny my claim for something that shows in the contract is covered. I will be writing a review on this CHW to warn people about my experience.

I was very satisfied with the repairman that visited my home. He turned in the problem and against their promise when I paid for more than 3 years of CHW Services they rejected it. Telling me it is not their responsibility. They told me of a section in my contract. Ignoring the section they sold me on - Electrical Systems are covered.

I dislike giving negative reviews, but I feel I must in this case. My microwave failed. It took a week to get a technician out. He confirmed it was broken and told me it would be either repaired or I would get an offer of funds to replace it. The next day I got an email with an offer of funds. The amount was enough to buy another microwave, but did not cover installation. I refused it and was assigned a case manager. An email asked me to make an appointment on her calendar, and the first available one was over a week away. I sent her a detailed email, including the fact that my husband and I are in our 70s and could not physically handle removing and installing a microwave.
I also contacted her directly via phone, left a message, and received a call back several days later. In a bored voice, she asked how she could help me. Obviously, she had not read my email. I explained the situation and she replied there was nothing she could do; they didn't cover installation. She offered nothing. Why bother to get a case manager if she can do nothing? I told her I was dissatisfied and felt I received poor service. She said again there was nothing she could do. She also said she would authorize the funds and I should receive a check within 30 days. I'm sure glad I have enough money to go ahead and replace my microwave without waiting. I won't be renewing my contract.

My double over broke down. I called you guys and the tech that came out stated it could not be fixed. I was offered $667 for a replacement not even 1/3rd to purchase another. Not to mention my oven was Jenn-Air. It doesn’t matter it was 10yrs it was a great oven. I disputed this and the case manager states my oven looked old and I could find a double oven at $667 price. SMH. Apparently she was not a homeowner and has no idea about appliances prices. I will think twice to recommend Choice Home Warranty in the future.

The micro-wave oven stopped working. We called Choice to set up an appointment to check out the appliance. The technician checked the unit out and declared that it was not repairable and that he would have to route the repairs higher. As the magnetron and voltage regulator (?) had burned out. So a few days later, we had to call and found out that couldn't repair it and to call a claim settler for final cash disposition. We've only been with choice a few months. We got Choice because on its face appeared to be genuine..
Well we got an offer, the micro wave was old (5/6yrs), they was only going to repay !49 dollars to replace the one we had. We had already paid a few to the technician. The model MW was no longer produced. so they decided not to repair but to replace at this low repayment. What I liked about Choice, was that if they couldn't repair they would replace." NO MORE WORRY" I paid for the 5 yrs. plan. We've had another MW replaced by another company. They replaced it. We're not very happy. The adjuster did tell us about the penalty for small appliances like the MV, but with a multitude of pages and conditions buried within the codicil there is a loophole for the insurer and gotcha for the buyer. Right now not too impressed.

When we bought this house last year the seller handed us a Choice Home Warranty that supposedly would solve all the problems involving the house. This is the third time I tried using this service and again no luck. They did fix a dryer heater but AC has been a problem. Living in a rural area it is hard to find a service tech much less one responder to Choice for a service call. No one ever responds. If I get in contact, I am informed right away that they do not get involved with warranty companies. The company will not let me submit the paperwork, including the diagnosis and photos. When you receive the advertisements for warranty they make it sound so easy. All I can say is buyer beware.

Un-Stoppers Plumbing. is one of the best. Mike was on time. Came into the house, showed him the problems. He called the company, explained the problems. Waited for the approval, went right to work. Had to get some special parts, called his shop and they brought the parts to him that he needed. Installed the parts, left the job spotless. Would highly recommend them for your plumbing projects.

House heater would not start. I tried a few things to no avail. Made claim to Choice. Response was immediate, contractor assigned within 2 minutes. Technician assigned within 10 minutes and arrived in less than an hour. Evaluated, determined, and repaired in 10 minutes. Excellent.

Tech was professional and efficient. It took few follow ups to get answers for my questions. It was difficult not to have a fridge for a family of 3 for a week. So I went ahead and bought a somewhat similar (less cub ft) fridge because I couldn’t wait any longer. After a week, I did receive an update. The offer only covered 50% of the cost of the new “lesser” fridge. It is not fair.

I chose Choice out of an abundance of due diligence. The sales associate was obviously reading from scripts and failed to accept my decision to contract annually rather than multi-year, as he pushed me to do so. The sales technique he employed was clearly being read from scripts for "up-selling," which I found very offensive. Had it not been from my research indicating Choice offered high customer satisfaction in the Ft. Myers market, I would have ended the call and moved on with another, more respectful, service contractor.

Setting up the claim was quick, simple and the representative was very informative. Was notified the same day of scheduled appointment though I was not able to be present at that time. Called and spoke with the technician and we scheduled for the next day. He was on time, neat, wore protective covers over his shoes, we discussed the issues and he went right to work. He had to go get a couple of parts, was back in no time and completed the repair. Highly recommended.

Home Warranty has difficulty locating technicians and always wants you to find your own. Of course, I bought this policy so that the warranty company would. Locate the technician and send out to make the repair. At first, the company emailed me and told me to find my own tech. But after a few days they found a technician. The repair was quick and my burner is working now. I did not have luck finding a tech to repair my water leak that would wait for a reimbursement from Home Choice Warranty, so $400 later out of my own pocket and not from my warranty plan, I got my own plumber. The bathroom sinks were flooding my cabinet. I really want this home warranty company to pay reimburse repairman quickly, “on time”, so that more technicians in my area will accept jobs.

I recently became a widow and decided I'd better purchase a home warranty as my husband always did the home repairs. I am also trying to work full time. I thought when our shower would not shut off it would be a simple fix but apparently instead of just being able to replace the channel, the whole unit must be replaced. Although the plumber was very knowledgeable, when he submitted the repair charges to you, it was denied.
I was told I could submit a request to overturn the denial, which I did but told them It was better to communicate by email as I am at work every day. I still am getting phone calls, which I try to call back during my breaks, but I just get voice mails. I am very disappointed that I have to go through all of this to get a simple repair done and now I am a week with no shower and nothing resolved! I had the opportunity to go with another warranty company that I do business with and am regretting choosing this one right now. Very disappointed!!

The response time for resolution of a water heater is not acceptable. Due to the Covid-19 virus, it is very important to have hot water. As a senior and a disabled veteran, good hygiene is extremely important to good health. Going over a week (and counting as the resolution is still in question) without a shower is not only an inconvenience but is unhealthy. Especially during this Covid pandemic it is risky. When dealing with health and safety it is imperative to respond quickly, which doesn't seem to be a priority with Choice Home Warranty. I am disappointed to discover the confidence of having my back covered has apparently been misplaced.

I was very satisfied with my service tech who looked at my built in appliance. He deemed it unfixable and put in for a replacement. Choice sent me an email with a offer that was about 20% of what a replacement would cost. I challenged that and the rep got with the department that handle claims and came back with an offer that was 50-60% of a replacement. That was beyond disappointing. She said that is all they could do. So replacement coverage doesn't really mean replacement!

My policy number is **. It was purchased and paid for 5 years back in November 16,2018. I was very pleased with the repairman that came yesterday. Rob ** 573 381 5992. I would highly recommend him. In fact I think he had watched lots of repair videos. He mentioned watching a video that shared a common issue my machine has. He removed the door latch, he put put a piece behind the latch so that he could tighten the latch tighter. The videos showed that the screws were long enough they could not be tightened enough not to keep the latch tight after wear and tear. I think this was what the issue was back in August 2020.
I'm very upset with the care I've had since that August date. On August 22, 2020 I had a claim **. At that time the repairman that was sent was H&E Factory Service at 800 905 9505. I felt like this repairman wanted to work with me. The symbol on the machine was DL F. I could understand that he thought it was the door lock that he replaced. At that time I paid the$60 required. In a little over a week and only one load of wash had been done, the same symbol returned. The home warranty company sent the same repairman on September 5. He at that time felt that the issue was an issue with the control panel. He said he would try and locate the part. He could not find the part. He said the company wanted to try to locate the part needed. He showed me the wires he wiggled and the machine worked. So at this time the machine would run but I did not know when it would stop again.
During this time I was taking radiation treatments for breast cancer so since the machine was running I did not push the issue. I filled another claim on Sept 14 for same issue **. At some point I got an email that said a part would be sent to my house. The confirmation number was **. I never got the part. The first repairman called and ask if I had the part. I did not. I only paid the first repairman once for all his work.
On Oct 29 I filled another claim **. The company sent another repairman from RMS Appliance Repair. 660 441 8150. I told him I would not pay him the $60 because I felt I was still dealing with the same issue. He agreed with the first man's feeling about the control panel issue. He said he could find the part. He said he would recommend to the company to find the part and have the first man fix it. During this time I was taking our daughter to make arrangements for her fourth brain tumor surgery on November 19. Again I let it slide because the machine was working again.
On January 28, 2021 the machine totally stopped working, even when I wiggle the wires. The top of the machine has been loose since the first man worked on it in August of last year. My claim number was **. This this the claim that I mentioned at the beginning of my message. I did not want to pay this gentleman either but I did. He said he would also report everything I've reported. I do feel like you owe me the $60. My address is on the policy but you can mail me the check to Ken **. I do not want to register any other complaints but if I don't get the $60 I will.

I called to Choice Home Warranty 1-800 number to request service because when trying to use my garage disposal system I was having a concern with standing water/slow drainage. Initially a gentleman was sent out, in which he said that we needed a plumber, he wouldn't be able to fix it. We need to call back to Choice and let them know that we would need the assistance of a plumber to come and snake the pipe. I just felt like it wasn't enough questions asked during the initial call to get a better diagnosis for the problem, which caused us to have to rearrange our schedule for someone to have to come back out on the following day. Hours were between 3-8, which the plumber came @ about 5p.m & quickly fixed the problem.

I actually like having the service. Being able to schedule service and technicians coming out quickly. As well as the customer service and billing team are great! The negative is that they refuse to replace my item. I have been having issues with my refrigerator over a year and they keep sending different companies to try to fix it. Each company tells you something different. In the meantime, I'm spending so much money for the deductible. It's ridiculous to me that a certain point, they don't just replace the item, especially since it is so old. The policy needed to be updated that says after a certain amount of repairs they would replace the item. ALL the other home warranty companies I've been with do that. That part is misleading and now I'm not sure what to do because I'm so frustrated.

I was very much dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty. It took 7 days to get a technician to my house to see about my repairs that was only after about 5 phone calls when I was promised that there would be a response within 24 hours. This is not the first time this has occurred. However the processing from the technician was handled in a timely manner. I was still dissatisfied because this is continued reaction from them. Thinking about cancellation of my service when this claim is settled. Experience has not been great.
