    When the dryer first turned on made very loud noise for a short period of time. This noise became louder and continued for a longer period of time as I continued to use it. Called a repair service which tried to "fix" the problem and didn't succeed. Remembered I had Choice warranty and they sent a repairman. He said he could fix it but needed a part. At first I was not happy with their offer to give me money to buy a new stove....it was not NEAR enough to replace my high end stove (1/3 of the cost to actually replace it).     The idea of a home warranty is great. Thus particular claim has been terrible! My water heater leaked all over my brand new flooring. I filed a claim right away. Was told that someone would be out to fix it within 4 hours, so I stayed home from work. No one came, no call. When I called to check status was told it would be within 24 hours. I got an email 30 hours later that someone would come to repair it 6 days later! Also, that my flooring would not be covered that I was on my own with that. I have yet to get the water heater looked at, 5 days later with no warm water to do dishes, bath, laundry, etc. Tech isn't even looking at it until 3-8 pm on Saturday night. Standing water under flooring and I had to rip it up myself.

    I do not agree with the decision to not repair or replace the GE microwave. The technician said that the electrical control panel failed because it appeared to have grease on the wiring. The microwave is 19 years old. Over 19 years some grease vapors from the stove is going to get into the overhead microwave. What is the user supposed to do, clean the electrical wiring within the interior of the housing containing the electronics? I don't see any of that referenced in any of the preventative measures of the microwave. To me grease getting into the electrical wiring over time is normal wear. So I disagree with your assessment and decision not to repair the microwave.

    I contacted CHW on Feb 20, 2021 because my water heater went out after the Texas winter storm. iConcrete came to my home initially & deemed I needed a new one & set the appointment for the next day. As of today March 19, 2021, iConcrete has not been in contact with me to replace my water heater. I called & email countless times to find out what the issue was, no one could give me an answer. All the CHW reps could say was give them more time, they are not answering our calls either.

    Both CHW & iConcrete dropped the ball on this issue & I am highly disappointed, disgusted & angry. I have 3 children and we shouldn’t have had to go through this at all. Another company should have been provided after a week of iConcrete not doing their job. And the only reason they are now trying to do the replacement is because I contacted the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint as well as filed a new claim with another company (Prosper Services) who came to my home last night & at least got my water heater working temporarily until i got the replacement. I am really considering not renewing my contract with CHW after this unfortunate, avoidable incident.

    Technician came out and looked at the pipe and wanted to know if my water heater was still under warranty with the company that installed it, so many (maybe 7 years ago), I don't know. My contract with CHW states that my water heater is covered. But because the technician that came out, didn't want to do his job, took everything to another level. He works with M&J Plumbing 39 LLC. If everyone in that company reflects their image of this facility, then they should not be allowed to be used for homeowners insurance coverage policies.     Please read fine print. Even though they said they covered plumbing, They do not. A gasket to switch between the shower head, and the running water to the tub, said it was not covered and could not fix it after they charged me $45.00 for service call, this was on top of the amount that I had paid the yearly plan. Called a plumber, he said no problem, went and got the part under ten dollars for that part. Installed it and no problem, turned out to be the button that you push in and pull out for the change of flow. It cost me 50.00, since I had done business with the plumber in the past. They came out several times to fix the running water in the toilet, told me I had to replace the toilet, and that was not covered, mind you it was still 45.00 a visit.

I had a service tech come out to see me and he asked me whom I had for Coverage, I told him Choice, he started to laugh and asked me how many time did they say That is not covered. I would not recommend them to ANYONE FOR ANYTHING. DO NOT USE THEM.

    I have an air conditioner that needed Freon last year and then this year it needed Freon again. The technician said that there is a leak in the line somewhere and he needed to do a leak detection to locate and repair. CHW would not pay for the leak detection. They want to me to pay for the leak Detection and then afterwards they would evaluate what was wrong and THEN decide IF they would do the repair. It is obvious that we have a leak, and it is also obvious that I did not damage the air conditioner. They would not proceed with repairs or approve any more work unless I pay for a leak detection and gave them the results. What am I paying my $500 a year for? I have since canceled their policy and will not advise anyone to do business with this company.

    It was my first claim and service experience with Choice. It took three service technicians, several frustrating dropped phone calls, two service fees, loss of personal work time and two months before what turned out to be a fairly simple repair to my refrigerator’s freezer and ice maker to be fixed. The first technician sent was incompetent and caused the appliance to function WORSE than before he did anything to it... and refused to return when informed that there was a worse problem than before. He insisted that a new claim be filed through Choice.

    The second technician misdiagnosed the problem and lost the contract due to more time needed to rediagnose the issue. The third technician sent accurately diagnosed the problem, confirmed that the issue with our freezer and the malfunction to the ice maker WAS RELATED and partially due to the first technician’s error. Within an hour he repaired the problems. Finally both our freezer and ice maker began functioning as normal again. I have NEVER experienced such horrible repair service. I shouldn’t have been charged a second service fee for the first repairman’s errors. However I’m very grateful for the third repairman’s professionalism and expertise.

One was for a lower premium, the second for a lower service call fee. I went with the lower premium offer and was satisfied with my choice. An hour later a sales rep contacted me offering an even lower premium rate than what I paid. When I asked for the difference to be refunded to me, the sales rep tried to get me to pay an additional $800 upfront to "lock in my rate" for an additional 2 years. He could do nothing else for me.     I researched warranty companies for about a month. Choice had a great price. They gave us 6 months free when we purchased 3 years of the warranty. They pushed to pay the entire contract up from to get the special. I finally agreed to the contract. When we had to use them, it was difficult to get a vendor to even respond to them. The vendor came out and submitted the claim. Choice denied it right away. I even appealed the finding and they still denied since the unit was still new (7 years) and believed it was a manufacturer issue or a previous maintenance issue that we had completed last year. Again silence and sat there for several minutes without saying anything. There was no way to file a complaint against this person or anyone to speak to. And when I made a dispute it was a week before I could speak to anyone to resolve the issue. A client of mine had a similar bad experience. When the service person showed up to fix a problem he had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for approval to do so. Something is definitely lacking here and there are other warranty companies who do much better for their consumers.

    Being able to contact and receive call backs quickly, when there is a problem, is crucial. It seems this is not a concern at CHW. I was also denied a replacement for a fridge, after purchasing our house, and listening to it beep beep beep beep every 3 minutes, due to damage done on it from installing it for previous owners!     Our microwave died over 3 weeks ago. We called CHW. An appointment with a service technician was scheduled within the week. That was over a week ago. She determined it could be repaired. Later that morning, she texted me that she had spent an hour on the phone on hold and never got to speak with a human. She sent me a copy of the description of the problem and a parts list that I could pass along if I was contacted by Choice before she could contact them.

    Later that day, I went on on-line and added that to our claim. When a week had passed & had heard nothing, I posted again on our claim page that it had been another week without any response. I did receive a phone from someone with Choice who told me documentation had to come from Sears (the vendor contacted for the repair), that Choice would follow-up, and I would hear from Choice yesterday (Monday). I also texted the technician for the second time. It is now Tuesday evening, I have not been contacted by anyone about our non-working microwave! I am definitely dissatisfied!

    I always wonder who gave this company a 5 star? I have a doubt about this company if it's legitimate. Do people use this? I tried at least 3 times and all the time I felt it's a real Scam.     Good morning. I filed a claim on Sunday. My refrigerator is not cooling. My refrigerator freezer is not freezing. Someone called me on Monday stating that my appointment is not until next week.
