A repairman came by and determined that an electrical board and float switch assembly was bad and needed to be replaced. He also took some time to explain how a dishwasher works when the home has a water softener system. We were impressed and grateful.

I recently reported a service call for a broken door on my microwave. I explained to the representative the problem therefore why was a technician sent out for a service call which I was charged 60 dollars when the door is not covered. I should be reimbursed.

Up North Appliances were the best. They called to let me know an approximate time of arrival, then called again when they were 30 mins away. They replaced the dryer belt and thoroughly cleaned the entire dryer, plus checked the heating element. They wore a mask and shoe covers. Very pleasant technician. Great company!

I filed my claim on a Friday and had an appointment scheduled for Monday between 11am-3pm. No one showed up after the time frame and I called the repair company and they advised me I was scheduled for Tuesday at 1pm. They showed up on time and completed the repair within an hour. Overall it was good, but the scheduling error was a little frustrating.

Choice Home Warranty has consistently delayed or rescheduled repair appointments. They have also changed contract technicians on short notice. This results in longer repair time. When a major appliances needs expensive repairs or replacement, CHW goes to great lengths to not pay full replacement costs or denies claims. Because of these issues, I do not recommend Choice Home Warranty. When a technician is assigned to our repair, I research the company and their customer reviews. When they are investigating the problem(s), I ask questions about the systems and cost of repairs.
After the diagnosis the technician calls Choice Home Warranty to get approval for repair work. If the cost is large, the work is denied. Even when repair costs are less than replacement costs. They call the technicians multiple times and request additional reports. One owner told me, after denial of repair or replacement of our failed air conditioning system, he had several conversations and gave additional reports to CHW, with conclusions and recommendations, they came to their own solution. That the claim was denied because of the unit was in abnormal condition.

Mr. Dalton ** was very professional and knowledge about the LG Refrigerator. He was very thorough and clean. He cleaned up everything before leaving. He was very good and timely. 2. Part had to be ordered which took a week and that is fine and understandable. Now here is where I will have to wait to give a review. Tech came in replaced part but water did not still work on the frig dispenser. We were then told that the line that was on the door was probably frozen and we would have to leave the frig off for 2 days then plug back in and try the water dispenser. If doesn't work then repeat for 2 more days and plug frig in and try again. Which is fine but until we finish this please keep this work order open. I am not sure if this is normal procedure but thank goodness my husband is here to do this. I feel that the job is not done as the tech left with the job not really being complete and was left to us to finish

I was very pleased with the technician that was assigned. He was friendly & knowledgeable. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the amount of money I was provided to replace my washer. It came nowhere near the cost of a new one. I have to downgrade my replacement. I don't have extra money to put into this purchase or any future replacement of appliances in my home that is why I purchased this warranty, that is what I'm paying for, fair replacement compensation. That is not what I received. I am very concerned if I need something else replaced in my home that your warranty company will not fully cover the cost & it will cost me more money than I have on hand. This is unacceptable to me. I will be looking for a new warranty company & getting a refund from Choice on my prepaid warranty due to my extreme dissatisfaction & fear of not being able to cover the gap in compensation in the future.

Had problems with GFI socket popping off. Called to repair, service was performed at 8:00 AM. Prompt service, was scheduled between 7 and 11 a.m. discovered another problem which caused GFI to pop. This then needs to be fixed. Water heater recirculating pump bad and when plugged in another socket it popped GFI.

I'm very disappointed that when the contract says you'll replace an appliance if it goes bad and doesn't say a portion of one. Very disappointed. I can't even buy the cheapest washer out there with the funds you're sending me.

The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He assessed what was happening (or not happening) with my oven and proceeded to let me know his findings. He fixed the issue in a reasonable time. I will be happy to have him returned should the issue happens again.

I phoned today with a broken top oven. The gentleman on the phone was fast, understanding and polite. He set up my claim, explained the next steps, asked if I needed any clarification or other help, and then we hung up. Seems like great customer service! I will review again once work is complete.

I called d/t a significant leak under our washing machine on a Monday. I received a message from the service department of the company scheduled to do the repair for Thursday (from a neighboring state); it seems they are one of the few who service LG washers. The gentleman arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem (a small pressure line had detached inside the washer), and fixed it without difficulty. He did a check of the washer to make sure it functioned properly and cleaned up the area. Well done!

Making a claim was easy. I'm not sure how I feel about not being able to talk to the company to schedule the appointment at a time that is convenient for both parties. We will have to see how the service goes during the appointment.

Troy ** was the representative who we had the pleasure to speak with while signing up with Choice Home Warranty. Troy explained ways we were able to sign up for an extended period and save money by doing so. We have not used Choice Home Warranty services yet, and really hope we do not have to. However, it is nice to know we have some kind of protection in the event we do need their services. If the company is as professional as Troy was and is we are sure we will be completely satisfied.

We were told that A/C repair with frozen coils was not covered. We disputed that. We were told that ice was a foreign material in the coils. We know that the word "foreign" means something from the outside, like a foreign country. Since the ice was formed inside the coils, it is not "foreign."

I showed the technician the issue that I was having. He immediately got his tools and went to work diagnosing what needed repairing. He moved the stove out and while it was out, he allowed me the time to sweep under the stove. Yeahhh!!! He then let me know that he will be back with the parts needed to repair my stove. I really appreciated his professionalism.

I paid for this coverage for two years. The first repair that I needed they denied on made up reasons. It took me two hours to get an English speaker on the phone that I could understand. Then they just told me, "We will help you" by letting you pay $800 of your repair, covering only $200 of the repair. This company is a scam.

I was a little leery of getting this plan; but everyone was friendly and informative. I feel comfortable with this plan, I’ll have to see how it works out. They made it easy to apply and and enroll into the plan. Now I feel secure if any of my home appliances break down.

My Microwave stopped working - totally. When I called Choice to report that I needed a service call (this was after checking everything I knew to check). I was told that it would be 24-48 hours and someone would be in touch with me. It was well after the 48 hours, but I did get a call and Uncle Eric from Murfreesboro, TN called and said he would be at my home the following morning. Right on time, friendly and to-the-point. My microwave had arched at some point, so I was glad to hear his expertise as this could have been a danger had it not totally gone out. The part could no longer be replaced.
I was contacted by Choice the following day with an offer of $199 in the form of a Lowe's Gift Card. I refused as I could not replace a Whirlpool Microwave for that amount of money and Lowes did not have a Microwave in White to match the rest of my appliances. I received an email from Choice introducing me the gal that was to help me. She told me nothing more could be done as my Microwave did not have and special capabilities for her to raise the amount they would pay me. So I accepted the offer with the exception that Choice would send a check instead of the gift card so I could shop at a place of my choosing.
This was the second time I contacted Choice. First time was about my Dryer that had stopped working and Choice could not find anyone to fix it. I ended up having a friend fix it. I would not recommend Choice to anyone. I purchased the Home Warranty as I am a single lady and wanted an insurance program to assure me that things could be taken care of. My husband always handled the "fixing" before. I thought Choice would be a good answer for me and feel today, it is not.

I had to wait almost 2 months without a refrigerator before it was finally fixed (after sending out 3 different LG licensed techs). I lost hundreds of dollars in food and had no fridge for 2 months for a family of 5!!! I was declined my claim for my outside A/C handler after the tech recommended a new handler because of natural wear and tear. Had to put in an appeal and wait more days for answer. I live in Florida and the temp is supposed to reach 95 degrees on Saturday. I put claim in on Monday morning.

After being with American Home Sheild for several years, I switched to Choice on its promise of better and slightly less expensive coverage. I have not needed many house calls, but when my water heater quit working this past weekend I was shocked, dismayed, and disappointed to learn from Choice that they only cover valves and such. They don't cover the tank itself. That's what a water heater is: A tank. If you don't cover the tank, you don't cover the water heater. It is like a company saying we cover your car's windshield, but we don't cover the glass. Very sketchy and untrustworthy.

I have had several encounters with CHW and none have been positive. I have had to submit inspection reports, when it clearly stated on your website that a report is not needed. I feel I have to fight for CHW to provide the service that I pay for. I finally was able to get CHW to agree that my range was covered under their policy and I would receive a payment within 30 days. On day 31, no payment was received. I called CHW and was advised the check was not processed and the rep could not tell me why. So once again, I am still fighting for payment while not having a range. I have been purchasing fast food for my family for the past 30 days, while awaiting a check that has never been processed. I will never recommend CHW to anyone, the service provided is terrible and all of their reps need additional training on how to speak to their customers to de-escalate situations.

After significant research on home warranties and warranty companies, I purchase a year's worth of coverage for my new home yesterday. While I'd determined through research that Choice was a top provider and a best fit for me, what I surprised by was the incredible service I received from my rep Dionne. She was highly professional, well-versed in all the details of coverage options, clearly smart and on top of it AND not at all pushy. She conveyed clearly her interest and willingness to help me find the right policy fit than the most profitable option for Choice. I couldn't be happier with her service or the Choice policy I selected. Time for a raise or performance bonus!!!

A & M Mechanical performed an excellent quick response and diagnostic of the problem with the blower motor to the HVAC. CHW approved the need repair.. Hopefully that part repair and replacement is as good. WE would use them again for other needs..

The contractor I hired was excellent. This was the first time I used them. The authorization process was relatively painless, and the representative we worked with was was quick to respond after the authorization request was submitted. This was my first real claim...the first one was pretty simple and the contractor was satisfied with my deductible...so I was unsure of how this would go, since We were doing the reimbursement process. I waited a month for a technician to come to look at my refrigerator. I was told a part needed to be ordered after CHW approved the repair. I made numerous inquiries on the status. It took another month before I received an email with a resolution. A refrigerator is an important appliance. I have been buying ice for two months. I felt no one cared that I didn’t have a working refrigerator. I am disappointed with CHW. In the past, I had a positive experience.

16 days to have a microwave repaired. Customer service making excuses and only when I stated a desire to cancel contract did they direct my call to a resolution manager. My perception is that sales people misrepresented service I would receive. When I finally did get service, it was very good. But, again 16 days before service.

The technician did a good job. Very professional. CHW made me pay $450 for my part. We are made to believe if they can't fix it they will replace it at no additional cost. The reason was they said it was an upgrade. Nothing was added, they just took out the old water heater and put in the new one. Why should the customer have to pay extra when had nothing to do with selecting the water heater. If it was more expensive I'm sorry. That should not be on me.

We have had Mike come to work on difference issues a few times. He’s professional, prompt, helpful, and solved the problem each time. He was honest about the problem and gave us options of what we could do. We were able to contact him back when the problem wasn’t resolved.

Technician was able to fix my dryer for making a loud screeching noise and also found that the heat element was unplugged so I was able to fix my heating issue while he was there! I would highly recommend this company I am with. My renewal process comes I will definitely be renewing.

I discovered water leaking by the toilet. I thought it was the shut off valve. It was a leak from the tank. I am so disappointed you denied my claim. Would this home warranty policy had paid if the leak was in the wall? I’m very upset I’ve now got to find a plumber to fix my toilet. Terrible service from this company.

The repairman was on time and fixed the microwave expediently. There was a broken part that he identified and replaced. He worked fast and identified the broken part. He had the replacement part in hand. Payment was quick and easy. We are very happy with the work that was done.

I am very disappointed in Choice and their customer service. In this case I waited a week for a technician who determined the washer needed to be replaced. I then got an offer of $547 to replace a $1500 washer. I was also told I would get a Lowe’s gift card so I went to Lowe’s to price the washers only to find that one similar to mine cost $900-$1100. I requested the claim be reviewed and had to wait almost two weeks for my 15 minute call. I was then told that the price was fair and they would not increase the amount and that I would receive the funds within 30 days. By that time I will be without a washer for 6 weeks which is unacceptable customer service. This is not the first issue I have had with Choice and would not recommend them to anyone. Very poor service!

The gentleman from Comfort Pro checked the system and explained it to me. I really liked his knowledge of the system. He was kind and considering. I was notified that a repairman would be sent to my home between 11am-3pm on 4-14-21. Nobody ever came. I called your service rep. and was told that they were unable to contact to repairman and that they would call me back. I never received a call from anyone. I have lost a day's pay and as a result I feel that your Great Service that your claim IS A LIE.

Somehow, someway, it seems that nothing is covered once a claim is filed. Certainly not the way it was marketed ("you need this coverage to protect yourself....") yet it actually never covers what is wrong. Stuck with it since I paid in full, but will probably not renew with this company when it ends.

Mike ** diagnosed and then repaired our microwave today. Parts had to be ordered beforehand. The microwave appears to be functioning fine now. Mike always kept me informed with scheduling visits. Called Choice Warranty for 2 appliances (microwave and ice dispenser in fridge). The customer service rep was very helpful and sympathetic to my issues. She took my info and someone contacted me within 24 hrs with an appointment. He was able to take care of microwave on the spot. Blown fuse that he replaced with a ceramic fuse which can take more watts. My ice maker was diagnosed in 15 minutes. He showed me what the problem was (non functioning auger motor), ordered part and another appointment is set for Monday. Very pleased with the service and timeliness of Choice Warranty. Highly recommend them.

Earlier we had EZ Appliances work on our washing machine. Very nice man, good work. We couldn't write a review since it took awhile to get the part and the review ended. Carlos showed up to examine our wonky garage door opener/closer and spotted the issue right away, told us he had a new one in his truck, unloaded it and its packed chain drive in our garage and said he'd be back in a couple of days, schedule permitting, to install it. So though technically we're not done with the service, he was personable and knowledgeable and let us know what he had to do in detail.

Water heater replacement, Our water heater was replaced thanks to Choice Home Warranty and Good Day LLC. The only downfall was the length of time it took to get everything approved. We made our first claim today. The customer service rep was professional and courteous. The claim process went very smoothly with the service rep explaining each step of the overall claim process. The entire claim process only took twenty-five minutes.

I recently filed two claims one for electric heater and washer machine. The washer machine claim has been going on since December. The contractor came out made diagnosis on washer issue and stated he would be back when parts come. I have not seen him or heard from him. I reported to customer service and they said they would reach out to him and get back to me. No response.
My water heater was not working properly so I filed a claim a contractor came out and did a diagnostic and determine a wire was burnt and he needed a electrician to look at it to see if it could be repaired. I received a email from Choice stating that the water heater will not be covered because the malfunction occurred due to power surge. I am trying to figure out were that can from since the plumber stated he did not do electric work and I did not know about power in my house.
Finally My garbage disposal went out and I file a claim and the guy came out and look under my sink about ten minutes and stated that this would not be covered. I called complaining about how every time I file a claim it is turn down. The customer service representative listen to my complaint and the guy put a new garbage disposal in. I said that day the guy was upset he had to put disposal in so you know it does not work. I have not file because I know it is going to be some nonsense. I have been with choice a number of years but I can truly say I have disappointed in the service and actively pursuing using another company.

My first claim with CHW went very well, the technician came the next day. I then introduced a friend to CHW. However I have not had any good experience after that. Now it takes a week for a technician to come out. I am still waiting for a technician to come out for what I reported last week. The case manager I was assigned to help resolve an issue was rather rude and standoffish. I hope things will improve.

3 out of the 4 people that I have spoken to so far spoke English very well. For 1 person it was his first language. For one other I had a hard time understanding him. The other 2 spoke very well and I understood them very well. The price is better than HSA and I'm not locked into just one repair company per occurrence. If I don't want who they want to send I can get my own with their final approval. Far better than HSA. I'll know more after my first claim.

Personal experience, I placed a claim for my garbage disposal and it took over a month just to get denied for that claim. The individual that came to look at my disposal also said it needs to be replaced and asked when I moved in the home. Taking that into consideration, he felt as I did that it would be covered. I also have a claim for my shower and toilet. I am still waiting to get completed. That claim was filed in February. No calls from the company or from the person assigned. No one shows up on the day of assignments. I ask for my claim to be reassigned and when it was, someone came out. Took pictures to send the company. That person was pulled off of the claim, now I am waiting on someone else to come out and fix two issues I've had in my home since February. I just moved in my home in January. It is now April. This is TERRIBLE service and I would not recommend this warranty company to no one.

Our repairman came out promptly on the appointment day and very quickly took care of our HVAC situation. He determined that there had been a short circuit when one of the low voltage wires insulation had rubbed off and made contact with a metal enclosure causing a fuse to blow.

On April a service person came and checked my dishwasher that I was having problems. On April 13, 2021 I had not heard anything from Choice so I called for information. The recording said because of COVID there was a long wait, leave a call back number. Which I did in the am and again in the pm. No response, that same day I sent a email which I did get a response that was of no help. I still do not know what is going on. Very disappointed.

I expect to receive good service on the money I pay. I find it frustrating to request for services, plumbing, and then have the technician to come out and get a response from my warranty company to deny a simple service. The plumber had to send an email to the company and wait for the warranty company to deny a claim, based on wording technicalities. I was left "on the spot" to pay for services, in addition having a hole cut into my ceiling, which I have to pay someone else to come fix it. I provide clear guidance on my issue before a technician was dispatched, yet the warranty company left me, the consumer, paying over $200 for a small part. Unsatisfactory.

My heat was never fixed properly since January 2021, and has caused more problems and now CHW is claiming more money from me even though I already paid for two technicians for the same claim that they are claiming it’s two different claims when the fact it’s not. No coverage too old was told, never asked when coverage taken out how old? Part not available, so replace is your policy, no know it’s too old, part not working part of microwave, yes it is you have to remove grill to access filters. Clerk claims spec was rude and would not listen to my sides. Was told to find my tech as Choice couldn’t find one in my territory, we did cost me $91.01 out pocket, my deductible is $75.00, I am out $16.01 more than my deductible, plus they don’t want to cover my microwave vent hood comb. Your people act as god when talking to you on phone, I was told to find tech I did, was told to have tech call Choice. He did, now saying too old, no where did I see fine print on age when you wrote policy! I hate it but fact is fact, y’all caught me in age trap with no prior knowledge, plus no mech usage of part. Although I have no complaints about the technician, I have several complaints about your company. You guys are unorganized, you lack communication, and you cause the customer more grief than necessary. You were unhelpful and you did not resolve anything. The problem was not solved. I still have the same problem now that I had before the tech came out. The water have to run for a very very long time before getting hot. I am not satisfied. I am having the same problem in every room where there is running water.

Plumber arrived right on time and diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes and fixed it. He checked different location for a leak and told us to watch it. If it gets worse call for a repair. He was finished in 25 minutes and our disposal was working fine.

Champion Appliance. Technician thoroughly checked oven to see if it could be repaired. Much better than last time where I had a claim on refrigerator and THAT other technician said "CHW won't pay for that repair" even though the temperature was barely cool. He did not even attempt to repair, he just opened the refrigerator and said "it's not cooling much." THAT technician took the service fee and left in under 10 minutes. But Justin from Champion Appliance brought in tools, went to work on the oven, found the problem and found it could not be repaired because the part needed is not available.

I was told by friends that when I tried to use the insurance the repair would not be covered. Didn’t believe them. But with my first claim that is what happened. The other disappointment was Choice was not able to find a repair company to handle my claim. I had to use the reimbursement option and find my own repair company.

Was very easy to get a quote and then followed up with a phone call to ensure I had info correct. Only downside was the inability to add on coverage for a home generator. Also Sprinkler system coverage for me was not worth it because I have only 3 zones with like 10 heads each and this coverage would have covered 3x as much.

We had some electric light fixtures that had some issues. I called Choice Home Warranty. They dispatched MP Electric, whose technician kept the appointment, diagnosed the issues, and contacted his office. The technician, Jorge, told us that his office would have to confer with Choice Home, but that, they should have a response within the hour. Jorge told us he would return once his boss received word from Choice Home. He returned within two hours and fixed all the problems. I would recommend Choice Home and MP Electric to anyone!

I am very dissatisfied with this home warranty. I got an email telling me to find a repairman and have them jump through the hoops for your company. It should not be up to me to find a repairman, that is one reason I took out this coverage. If I have to get the repairman then I don't feel like I need your service. You can refund me my paid premium.

The claim process was quick. I wasn’t happy about that I had to pay close to $500 in co-payments. The contract doesn’t read any co-payments or cap on replacing the water heater. Also, the company they picked to do this job the person who came in to do the work was not professional. I don’t think I will re-new my policy for next year.

A very nice technician came on time and determined the motor on my ceiling fan was irreparable. CHW authorized replacement of fan, with the cost not to exceed $75. Unfortunately, a refurbished Remote for the fan costs $125 - - my fan is Casablanca model 652T and generally sells for about $400.

The Choice assigned technician (Willobee Electric) diagnosed that the ends of the wires in 2 outlets overheated and made the outlets inoperable. He replaced the ends of the wires and installed 2 new outlets. This was his first time working for Choice, so if he didn't follow proper procedure with his diagnosis, that is not my fault. My claim for this repair was denied. It was within the house, was normal wear and tear, I've had a Contract with you since 2014, and it wasn't a pre-existing condition....so I feel it was WRONGFULLY DENIED. I am not a happy long-term customer. I'm very disappointed with your decision with respect to this claim. It should have been covered.

It has been weeks and the repairs still have not been made. It took over a week to get a plumber to come assess the situation. The replacement water heater was supposed to be sent to our house for installation and it was then supposed to be sent to the plumber but still nothing. I then got an email stating the repair was unnecessary, but that was because there was no water heater to install. I am very upset and still have water leaking all over my garage floor.

Disgusted that I am required to submit an appeal due to a denial citing pre-existing condition of water heater. I had overlapping warranties (one with Cinch) that I could have made claim with but had allowed it to lapse just before Choice warrant activation. Pre existing was NEVER a factor!!!

I was told yesterday that my claim was denied. I have been a homeowner for over 40 yrs. With that said, we have replaced several water heater all with the same issue. The liner of the tank is shot and leaking. This is stopping the pilot from lighting, thus no hot water. I have in good faith purchased a 3 yr. warranty in 2018 and just recently renewed for the same period. This was done prior to even having a claim. I have praised your company to other family members. Now, I'm not sure.

My washer could not be repaired. CHW agreed tor replace it. However, they agreed to pay about $200 less than the cost of what it would actually cost to replace my washer with similar features. Even when researching for the cheapest brand, they still fell short. A manager told me “we reserve the right not to pay the actual retail value”.

However when it came to replacing a product it persistently fails to deliver as promised. Several planes were flat out ignored. In other cases they made embarrassingly and unacceptably below market offers To cash out in lieu of replacement and then simply refuse to respond. My experience is not unique. Facebook, The FTC website, the Better Business Bureau, and the complaint logs of attorney general across the country document the dissatisfaction of thousands a policy purchasers.

This was the fastest service I've ever received! I submitted the claim and within an hour, a technician had been assigned! The technician called and asked if he could come out the very same day!! A elbow started leaking on heat pump lost refrigerant. They will not cover. Said it was not normal wear and tear. Also hot water heater was not covered either. They advertise on tv all the fixes. They should say what is not covered.

The sales rep definitely overstated the value of this coverage but overall most problems are addressed. Also, there are too many instances when a technician cannot be found. This leaves the burden of finding the right technician to the customer, which is something the warranty is supposed to handle.

Mojack Appliance Repair fixed my LG Dryer. He did a great job. He ordered the part that was necessary to repair the dryer. It came in about four days later and he came to repair it. Got it done. The only thing he left the old part for us to discard. We wish he would have taken it with him!

When I signed up I was told I could cancel at any time and get my money back right away. Shortly after I signed up with Choice I heard from co-workers what a hassle this company was. I immediately called to cancel and was told everything was taken care of. I got a call from choice wanting to go over my policy. I told them I had already cancelled and they say that no my policy was still active. So I cancelled again and was told that my account was for sure cancelled and that my payment would be refunded with in 24 hours. I called 4 days later to ask if my refund was still processing and the guy tells me it will take up to 30 days. :/

Some of the Technicians who have come to work on items, seem to have been confused on what repairs were needed, even tho they were informed...some lack of communication. 2 different visits from different contracted vendors. Resulted in having to get new oven, took over 4 to 5 months to correct the error made by one or the other Tech.

When this policy was sold to me the sales rep told me she would be my main point of contact. I called the phone number she provided that I was supposed to add an extension number to get to her. There wasn’t an option so I left a voice mail on Saturday explaining my issues to have someone come to repair. I then emailed my main point of contact with no response. Then I called another number and was referred to the website to file a claim. It has only been 3 hours so hopefully I will get an email or response. I would hate that I find I have been scammed. Paid my yearly fee and then call in a claim to company and the technician is sent out three to four days later. Then he sends a report to them tell them how much it will cost. Then report comes back everything is denied. All the money I paid and fee plus now I have to pay extra out my pocket to fix leak under sink I called in. Wrong wrong wrong.

Technician was scheduled to come during a late afternoon-evening 5-hour window. He texted the day before to ask if he could come earlier and gave a 1-hour window. That alone rates a "thumbs up!" He was on-time and quickly assessed the problem. As it was a Saturday, we still (as of 5pm Monday) haven't heard back from warranty to learn if he can proceed with the fix. Great service and very pleasant & personable technician.

Made me contact Samsung first = fixed top icemaker - froze up three days later - back to Samsung -refused to fix top icemaker again and refused to look at /nor fix freezer ice maker. Choice home warranty isn’t wanting to give me 345.00 to replace my Maytag top load. That’s after having to pay 3 service charges. Can’t find a replacement for less that 699.00. When they replaced my microwave a few years back they did not want to pay for the installation of the unit. This is what gives warranty companies a bad name. Anybody have a phone number for the executive offices so I can speak with someone there?

The technician that came out to inspect and service our air conditioner was very friendly, professional, and thorough. He checked the entire system, explaining what he was checking and why, and then proceeded to repair, based on his findings. He explained what the issue was, why it was causing the symptoms we were experiencing, and what he needed to do to resolve.

ASE was very prompt on his arrival to my house. ASE did a great job repairing my challenge with outside A/C unit. He explained what he thought the problem was with unit. I have been satisfied for everything they have done for me except this experience. My washing machine was leaking and dishwasher went out at the same time. After an appliance repairman visited the house and turned in his report, they decided to replace my products. They lowballed me on a $1,000 washer with an offer of $350 to buy a new one, and $245 to replace the dishwasher. The washer I need proof from Kenmore that the washer is the size to give me another $50.
I went into Lowe's "Their store of choice" to buy a new washer and activated their "E-Gift card" of $245 to start purchase on the dishwasher, nope I have to wait another 30 business days to receive the funds. This is my worst experience yet, and the only reason this is a 2 star review is because they have taken good care of me on other things.

A/C was not cooling and noticed ice on one copper tubes. The unit continually ran without cooling. Called for service but the service provider could not make an appointment for five days. We could not wait this long and called another service provider that came last Friday and repaired the A/C unit for $150. I then contacted the original scheduled service provider and cancelled their service call. Their appointment.

Water heater broke down last Wednesday. Water was leaking all over the floor and I called CHW to submit a claim. I urged them to make this a high priority due to potential risk of flooding. However technician came only by Friday evening. He recommended replacement of water heater. I have total protection plan so I was expecting CHW to cover the expenses. Now I am being asked to pay $600 as "not covered expenses". I have requested for the details and declined their resolution. Did not expect this when I brought the coverage for $500 per year couple of years back. I regret it now.

The technician was very courteous and professional. He was able to repair the heating unit in a short period of time and explained why the unit failed. He also checked to make sure both the heat and air conditioner was working properly before he left. I was very satisfied with everything.

I called CHW to review my washer. The appointment was quick. The Rep was on time. They tried their best to repair and when saw it was not feasible immediately sent information for it to be replaced. I was issued a gift card to Lowe's in the estimated value of my old machine.

I have good and bad experience with CHW. I have been with CHW for over 5 years. This year was the worst experience I have had with CHW. They only cover minor issues. They should require references from their contractors. Many of them are from out of state and you can’t get an appointment until a week later. Imagine having no hot water for one week and then when someone comes out it's not covered. CHW should ask the contractors to complete the service within one or two days. Many of them just want to make more money from you.
I had one that told me that preventive maintenance was need on a hot water tank. The water is suppose to be drained every year and that’s why it was not working properly. I have never heard of such a thing therefore it was not covered. What can you do? Of Course I had to pay for the service out of my pocket because it was not covered. I ask other plumbers and they had never heard of it either. Whatever the contractor tell CHW depends on if they will cover it. I also had one that threatened my tenant. I wrote a complaint and nothing happened. However, I had good contractors too, but the bad ones outweigh the good ones.

Masters of Disasters have been to my house three times in the past two months (all for different issues). Every technician has been friendly and has done excellent work. Their prices are very fair and much lower than other companies. I had to pay for some expenses out of pocket that the home warranty did not cover. Their prices were much less than the quotes I received from other companies in the area.

Although I was very pleased with the customer service of Choice Home Warranty and just as pleased with the technician of EMS Home Services. I am not currently pleased with the customer support team of EMS. My A/C unit is still inoperable due to waiting on a part. I have made several calls to follow up on the status of completing the job but no response from EMS. Therefore, I have now gone 5 days and counting without air in a city that gets temperatures in the 90’s. I am a 65 year old senior citizen with a pet in the home. Again the technician was superb but overall company not as much.

I had high hopes for this company as it was rated number one on Google when I searched. I even paid for 6 years of this service. It has been frustrating to get ahold of and even talk to people to get things done. We have waited weeks to coordinate our first two claims. Now we have a broken spring on our garage, and my wife reported it accidentally incorrect. When I made the correction and appeal, I had to schedule a conversation a week out. Meanwhile, we are stuck outside our garage, often in the rain as we wait again.

Tom showed up at 11:45 am and fixed the ice maker and installed a new motor in the unit. He was clean, fast and knowledgeable. The only thing about the the company I didn’t like was the time spread they give you. Mine was 10:00am thru 3:00pm which meant I had to kill a whole day at home.
