Kentucky came in and seen the problem! WITHIN MINUTES, HE TOOK care of it. Choice was on top of it. They found someone fast. He was polite and asked if we needed any other help. I have made the right choice by picking Choice Home Warranty. Glad that we can rely on them if needed again.

I’ve been disappointed with my recent experience with Choice Home Warranty. I put in a request for my dryer to be repaired and have heard absolutely nothing since. Communication and follow-through are critical, especially when it comes to essential appliances, and unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling ignored and frustrated. I haven’t even had the chance to follow up because I’ve been traveling a lot for work lately, which makes it even more important that the company provides updates and timely service.

Excellent service on my LG refrigerator - the repair/service technician, Christian, was fast, efficient and it was a pleasure to meet him. The work was performed in a very efficient manner without having to remove any food from the refrigerator - the whole repair took only about 20 minutes.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the A/C technician who visited my home today. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he was knowledgeable and fully prepared to help. He took the time to listen carefully to the symptoms I’d been noticing, then moved methodically through a quick but thorough diagnostic process checking the unit, verifying readings, and explaining what he was doing at each step. Within no time, he identified exactly what the problem was and communicated it in a way that was easy to understand, without jargon or confusion. Technician was extremely knowledgeable. He quickly identified the problem with our A/C and had it resolved in no time. Professional, courteous, and efficient—highly recommend!

Initially, I had good interactions with claims on appliances. However, I’m very disappointed that my recent claims have been denied. This policy has become worthless to me and I’m currently trying to arbitrate a claim on my air-conditioning unit and with no response!!! This experience has been unpleasant. Somebody call me such as a manager, so that I can proceed with arbitration.

They are horrible with response times and getting an accurate estimate on when things will be done. My air has been out for over a week and they have no plans of when it will be fixed. Customer service just gives you the runaround. I would not recommend this service to anybody.

The repairman was very knowledgeable about the task at hand with my garbage disposal. He quickly resolved the problem and explained what to do in the future to keep it operational properly. Also told me if any future problems to please call back. I was very pleased with the service provided.

The first company that I had was very good. For the second time, they took my complaint but there was a long wait. I almost called the first guy but I saw the email and the appointment has been made. Then I called the number listed. When the guy was available, it worked out and everything came all right at the end. Overall, I hope they keep up the good work and keep the prices down. And we’ll stay together.

Choice Warranty was very responsive to our needs. We had a washing machine that stopped working. The repairman that came out was very kind and considerate. After evaluating the problem it was determined that it needed too many parts to fix so Choice replaced our washing machine. We are completely happy with all the service that we got from Choice.

Very professional and courteous. Technician explained as he checked the top panel, where it cracked advising what needed to be done. He also explained the ordering and time it would take to get the necessary parts in and then the scheduling of the work.

Never had a problem with Choice itself. Have had some issues with some of the contractors used over the years. I’ve had many things fixed like my washing machine, automatic garage door, refrigerator, stove and even my AC unit. And I’ve also had things replaced because they couldn’t be fixed like my hot water tank, and garbage disposal! It’s been a huge lifesaver as a single woman.

Efficient and knowledgeable repairman. Problem was intermittent. Repairman told me how to react to the problem next time. There was no need for a major repair at this time. The repairman was courteous and communicated clearly. I highly recommend both Choice and the repair company.

There was a prompt visit by the service person. And Choice did agree to replace the stove with a prorated amount. Making us wait 30 days to replace an appliance such as a stove is not acceptable. Giving us only one choice of where to buy is also unacceptable. I found the same stove for less money elsewhere.

The plumber and helper arrived as scheduled. They were polite and got straight to work. It took them just a short time. They did not have the necessary parts but went to the local hardware store and picked them up. They installed them quickly, explained their work and left the area clean. They were professional in every way.

We switched our home warranty about a year ago and very happy we did. It was a Friday and this was my first service call with CHW and placing the work order online was very easy. I heard from CHW on Saturday and the repair company showed up on Monday!! And that company was amazing too! Overall we are very happy with the service and we would recommend them if you are looking for a home warranty company.

I had Choice Home Warrantyfor years. They're pretty quick to respond. On the first time, the contractor had to order a part. But the contractors they sent out were knowledgeable, clean, and quick. I would recommend Choice.

My latest claim with Choice was for the ceiling fan in the bathroom. It took a long time for someone to come out. They would say they'd be here the next day. The next day came and nobody showed up. Then the next day, it was the same thing. They didn't show up. We had a very bad communication. When they did come, which really wasn't fast, they did do their thing. The only problem was they did not speak English. He would call the office and then somebody would come on the phone, and he was telling me what was going on. As far as the ceiling fan, it looks very nice and it works beautifully, but they have to put a little thing around the outside because the fan wasn't as large as the old fan, so there's a gap. They said that they would bring it back and put it there so that it's gonna be nice.

I have been a CHOICE customer for 3 years. AS usual CHOICE took care of my problem (this time with my dishwasher) promptly. I received a response immediately and within two days of my report the job was done. It was as usual "fast & easy" and painless.

I called two time. The first person was really rude and unhelpful, but Amerian was very helpful and honest and sold me the policy. I am with All State right now and I am getting away from them. He made it easy. I hope you do have the first call I made and coach that associate to be better with new client, I almost didn't call you, but I like that your company is # 1 and that is what I went with your company. Do not waste your money with this. They will deny the claim the as soon as the fix costs more than $200. Their contract is written vaguely so they can accept or deny claims with no good rationale. My AC broke and needed a new motor fan. The company that Choice outsourced to replaced the motor fan and Choice covered this repair because it wasn't an expensive part. The company put in the wrong type of motor fan, though and caused a bracket to snap and the unit to completely break. Of course, Choice denied everything at this point and took no blame or responsibility. I didn't even get my $75 back from either time the HVAC company came to my house. Please do not give these people your business.

When I started off two years ago, Choice Home Warranty was 50 bucks a month. Now, it's almost 85. They keep going up their prices every six months. They're charging more and giving you less service.
Recently, I needed an electrician for a light switch. Choice will get a local technician to do it, and they'll do what they can to fix it. They're not gonna give you any new parts unless it really needs one. They charged me $100 as the fee for the person to come out. I could have done it myself, or I could have paid the electrician cash just to do it. Plus, I pay them monthly for the service. It's overpriced.

I recommend Choice but with reservations. It's not always the best, but you have some peace of mind because you know that someone's going to be hopefully coming sometime soon. But like you got air conditioning out, you can't live for five weeks without the air conditioning working. It happened a couple of times to me. They wouldn't replace it. They did some kind of band-aid. Then the next year, there was a problem, and the next year, there was a problem. And finally, this year, my husband said, "Don't call them, we'll replace it." We had to replace it with our own money. We went to someone that we trusted.
We had a microwave problem. They finally got here, and the guy said, "We can't replace it, we're gonna fix it." Three weeks later, they still haven't got all the parts, and said, "Well, it's not possible to get the parts." They offered me less than $200 to replace the microwave. I said to them, "Can't we get one from your stock?" And they said, "We don't have it." Some of the warranty companies have their own stock. They may be 100 years old, but they've got it. So, Choice gave us a couple of hundred dollars, which only paid for the delivery and installation fee, and not even the microwave.
Also, we had the garage door fixed, but they only did one side with the chain or whatever broke. And so, what's gonna happen is the other one's gonna break. A different company, when we had it on the other side, replaced them both. We had to pay extra for the second one, but it was not that bad. When you're 74 years old, it's not fun to have all these things break.
Once I chose my own technician, and they ended up not paying him at all. They told him that they wanted him to put Freon into the air conditioner, and he said, "Why should we waste it? We know it's just gonna leak out." And they said, "I agree with you, but we have to do it." And he wouldn't do it, so they wouldn't pay him. However, we had a problem with the hot water heater. There was water everywhere and the contractor was able to switch it out that day. When I had it replaced, that paid for that year's warranty.
It's 50:50 with Choice. When I tell them that I need help with something, they're quick to say, "We're on it," but they're not quick to get a vendor here. When a contractor comes, then the contractor has to look around, take pictures, and submit answers to Choice, and then it takes time before any work can be done. There's some good feeling that if you have a problem, they'll band-aid it, which is usually what they do. They can get someone can respond. It takes longer than you want it to, but they're finding the contractor instead of me running around trying to find one.

Feel like Choice wipe their hands and responsibilities on my claim. This is on new A/C unit Choice helped to purchase. Been a problem since installation 10 months ago. They should stand behind it. Now I’m stuck with a hot house and left high and dry getting it fixed.

He suggested I call the main number to verify he was an employee of Choice Home Warranty. These days, with all the scammers calling, it was nice to have Miles understand my concern. I did call the main number and felt at ease in moving forward with my financial information.

The claim was initiated on September 25. Here it is, September 30 and still no resolution. Choice is saying the tech needs to send the information and they have already sent it. Choice approved parts that were not in the tech's report and have not approved the part that needs replacing. Calls have been made to Choice and they have not followed up on getting the situation resolved.

I have joined Choice Home Warranty due to their attractive monthly rate and a decent review; however, I found out quickly this home warranty insurance vendor is a scam. Few months into my contract, my 8 years old washer start to make noises and doesn't spin as fast. I scheduled an appointment with the tech and he came in and stated there are some parts which he will need to replace. The same day, Choice e-mail me and told me the washer was not covered due to excess wear and tear. We are a family of 4 and unit was used normally from our point of view.
I call and spoke with case manager, Cameo, she stated the washer is not covered due to excess wear and tear and its not covered regardless of the age for this unit (since this is a 8 years old unit). I asked her to send in a 2nd opinion since it doesn't make sense to me but she refused. I cancelled the home warranty contract on the spot and plan to warn all my friends about signing up with this company. I whish there is a negative star rating and please be aware..

Was having issues arranging for a claim online regarding our refrigerator. We had submitted a claim for the same issue a little over 30 days ago, but cancelled thinking we had solved our issue. It takes a week for anyone to get to you. Choice doesn't replace anything and then goes with the cheapest price and cheapest labor. Customer service is off no help and don't care. All summer my air conditioner has not worked. Takes a week just to get anyone out to look at it, then weeks more to actually get anything done. My A/C still isn't fixed. 7a and 84 degrees in my house. 😡 When a good contractor comes out, no guarantee they will actually be doing the work. 😡

Called to make a claim. Obviously AI generated questions and responses. Unable to fully explain issue so there was some editing of the problem. Difficult to get them to fully understand that the temperature in the water heater is approximately 30 degrees higher than what it is set for leading to a dangerous situation with a toddler in the home. Water temps were 149 when set for 120. Still waiting for a vendor.

I am a disable US veteran. Not the best, needs much improvement Numerous times the tech who was sent out did NOT speak a word of U.S. English and or was under qualified. O(I was sent a handy man out to fix a sprinkler system.7) One tech came out I paid my 75$ then the tech told me he would not be paid, confirmed by Choice. . I wasted 75$ Sprinkler system issue. Tech came out, I paid 75$ then tech did NOTHING and said he could not fix this. I would up using my own people and wasting another 75$.

The tech was clean, kind and punctual. Choice warranty is unreliable though. We have had the same issue with air conditioner for 4 yrs straight. Coil needs replaced but choice Warranty keeps sealing the hole and recharging it. Very frustrating.

My dishwasher claim was denied due to the dishwasher and parts installed being improperly done. I called and explained to CHW that their service man installed the parts and dishwasher previously when it was broken. They told me too bad that’s the policy and they only guarantee the work for 30 days. I’ve called 6 times and no one cares that their installer did the improper installation. Such a joke.

Just signed up for the home warranty, so all I can review is what I experienced purchasing the warranty. The sales team is very pushy and seems to have a hard time listening to the customer. Every time I went to the website, I received a phone call within 2 minutes after leaving the web page which resulted in multiple attempts to upsell to a plan that I was not interested in.

Establishing a repair claim was easy by phone. The repair appointment information was emailed to me, immediately, after I hung up the phone. Date and time was fine. So far, the process is excellent. When the repair is completed, I could update my response.

I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS!!!! I don't have any experience with any other home warranty companies, but Choice Home Warranty SUCKS! Agreed to replace my over the range microwave. BUT only gave me $196 TOTAL to replace it. Cost me $450 for the microwave and install (bought the cheapest microwave available that would work over the range) PLUS I had to pay the $75 service fee. So, it still cost me $329. I also placed a plumbing claim over 2 weeks ago and they STILL have not assigned a contractor to come out and fix the issue. RUN, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

I was charged $250.00 extra for my toilet repair. I was not informed that the flange had to be modified and thus not covered. I was told it would cost me $250.00 extra, but the phrase modified was not used. I had to get my toilet fixed then, so I agreed. I am very unsatisfied with Choice Home Warranty.

The repairman came on October 9th and did a great job! He replaced the main board and he put the correct one in! The last guy (a year ago) apparently did not put in the correct board! I wrote some things about our repair guy last week that wasn't the best - but yesterday he was outstanding and very nice and talkative. He did a great job! Our oven finally works. No review to write - I am still waiting to hear from the joker who came to "fix" our oven. First of all all he did was look at the control board and said this needs to be replaced. I never got the part and can't call him back because I do not have his number. Oh - all he did while he was here was talk to a friend in some foreign language. What a dope he was. Please let me know what my next step is. The oven still is not fixed!

Absolute waste of money, time, and everything else! I didn't renew my contract, somehow they started charging me again and it has been pulling teeth to get a refund. They never handle your issue over the phone, constantly transfer or say they will call you back. Avoid them like the plague.

Updated on 10/18/2025: So far everything has gone according to plan. My only complaint was the time I filed my claim with the warranty company company & the actual appointment to have our washer looked at. You should have a policy that limits the number of days or hours that we have to wait for service. The other thing was Goodman wasn’t easy for me to get in touch with via phone, text or email. They reached out by text when they gave me information but didn’t respond by the same text when I asked them a question.

My washing machine tore up, it took 4 days to get someone to look at it. Then it took two days for them to total it. So, now I got to want 30 days to get a lowe's gift card to help replace my washing. Now, I have not washer to wash clothes for over a month. I can't get a replacement until I receive the lowes gift card. It seem like they would have a better system to help their customers out. Not one making them haul clothes to a laundry mat for a month. At the point I do not see myself renewing with this company.

This company doesn't pay their the contractors they hire. If you live in a small town good luck. The monthly plans are great but getting service when something goes wrong is a different story. Our AC went out the beginning of August and it took 15 days for them to assign. I live in AZ and the temps were 115-120 degrees. After 10 days I just had to paid the service call. When I called to cancel my policy they said, "Oh send in your receipt and we will reimburse 1/2 the cost." Sounded like a great idea. Now it is the end of September and no payment. Tried to cancel policy again and told to call back tomorrow. This is not the company you want.

Worst company I ever dealt with. They always come with excuse not to fix. I called in my refrigerator. Stopped working and they said it’s been broken before my warranty was effective. How could I live without refrigerator for over a month. Called for my Aircondition not blowing air. They said the blower was dirty and grease or some kind of excuse not to get it fixed.

The Technician was excellent. He was on time and diagnosed the problem quickly and had the garage door working in a short period of time. We were unable to open or close the door ..Also he went the extra mile by spraying all the mechanical parts so that it ran more smoothly and prevent any rust build up. He also replaced the outside keypad since it was also working sporadically which made my wife happy since she kept complaining that she could not open the door with the code..

Took almost 2 months for someone to come and do something. First person came at 10:00 at night. Told me what he found. They require pictures and description of problem. He never filed claim. Of course they don’t tell you so waited a few days like was told. Then next person decided he didn’t want to come. First of all live on a rural area. They neglect to say people don’t want to drive an hr or more. Guarantee find someone in 24-72 hrs. 3rd person surprised covered what was done which hopefully prolongs air conditioner. Said they refuse to replace most of time. Will be cancelling.

First time filing a claim and Chris from Robert & Son’s AC & Heating was the best. He cleared the line and verified there was an additional problem. I appreciate the time he took to fix the issue. I was happy he cleared the clog and added coolant. Robert and Sons offers yearly maintenance and because of the service guy and excellent customer service when appt. was scheduled I will call them for yearly maintenance. Although we had to wait a week for a technician to come out, Elon was very knowledgeable and competent. We knew what the problem was, a blown fuse, but he diagnosed the reason for the blown fuse and made all of the necessary repairs. He found and fixed the problem.

Choice gets a company on the problem and lets you know right away, when and the company’s info. Their one problem is they give a date and time the company has not agreed to - but that is okay because one has the phone number and calls the company to check on date and time.

I expected a long delay between submitting my service request and a response. (That was typical for my previous home warranty company) I was very pleasantly surprised to get a confirmed reply with a name, and date for my service call to check my furnace. I was able to get help from Mr. Handyman Wheaton, which is great since I was going to be fined for non-compliance since although you did the plumbing work for the project you never finished the agreed upon work which needed to have a larger meter installed and final inspection of plumbing.

I’ve been a CHW customer for 4 years and generally trusted the service, but my most recent experience has been frustrating. When my microwave broke, the part was discontinued and CHW offered a $194 Lowe’s gift card instead of a replacement—well below the $600 cost of a new unit. I agreed to move forward, but two weeks later I still haven’t received the card. I’ve already paid my premiums, the service fee, and the full cost of replacement, yet there’s been no follow-up despite my calls. I hope CHW will resolve this quickly and restore my confidence.

I am totally disappointed with the service I have NOT received. My freezer broke on Tuesday, it is Saturday and still no service person? And forget about using that reimbursement deal. If you cannot provide service, then why be in business???? The last 3 times I have called, the service could not show up for over a week and so I had the problems fixed on my own. This is the worse warranty company. They left my family and I without air the entire summer and it’s now September and the AC unit is still not functioning. Choice sent Sears out to fix my air, they failed to do so on 3 different times. They then sent another company out who recommended replacement, they got rid of this contractor. They then sent another company out on where it was to cool to get accurate readings from the machine and marker the machine as functioning. I have pictures and videos of the machine leaking water all over my garage and they refuse to fix the machine. I filed a complaint with the BBB. They lied and said they would come out and never showed up.

Justin was very friendly and professional. He did a great job of detecting the problem and relating the results to Choice to determine the outcome. The amount of parts needed were too expensive and would have taken too long to arrive. The end result was a replacement. The only negative part of the process is that it will take 30 days to receive a check for the replacement. I ended up using my credit card to purchase the appliance and will pay it off in 30 days when I receive the check. All in all, it was a very positive experience.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I’ve been a customer with Choice for quite some time, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. When my AC unit needed replacement, Choice charged me $695 out-of-pocket, calling it a “coil fee”—yet they refused to provide a receipt despite multiple requests. Then came Sears, who charged me an additional $2,044 plus an $85 service call. Sears subcontracted the work out, and that subcontractor ended up burning the side of my home. And what does Choice say? “Take it up with Sears.” Seriously? I paid Choice for this service. I disputed the payment because Choice never gave me a breakdown or receipt for what I was supposedly paying for. The entire unit replacement was lumped into one vague charge. This company is dishonest, evasive, and only covers a fraction of what they promise. Beware—Choice Home Warranty is not what.

This is the worst home warranty company on the face of the earth. Buyer beware, they don't pay their service providers (so they quit before job is complete), they can't fix anything in a timely manner (each claim I had took more than 60 days), they don't approve or provide enough replacement funds for the warranty to make sense. Lastly, when you cancel, they won't provide a refund even though their contract clearly states one will be provided on a pro-rated bases. I do not see this company lasting long with extremely poor service practices in every corner of their business. This review will go on every website I can possibly post it on....good luck

The website is straightforward to navigate, and logging in, completing the information request, and receiving approval were fast and convenient. I have never had a problem with any of the contractors sent to address a potential issue. This current contractor is excellent and very knowledgeable about my issue. This issue concerns my Viking Gas Top burners, which were not functioning correctly. My request was submitted on Wednesday, and on Thursday afternoon, they arrived and started working. To me, that is an indication of the kind of vetting Choice conducts before approving a contractor. I highly recommend Choice.

My only constructive feedback is that there was no notification sent of the installation date and time of the booster pump by the vendor or CHW. Fortunately, someone was home to receive the vendor when they arrived unannounced and provided access to the backyard to replace the booster pump.

Each time I had to file a claim, the company found someone that could do the job. All the contractors were great. I was happy to learn that I would save money by buying the annual plan as opposed to paying for it every month. In fact, my current plan covers 6 years & that makes me very happy. Our home is getting older even though most of our appliances are fairly new, having replaced the old ones. The electrician that came was excellent. That is the only reason why I gave the 5 stars He went the extra mile to do the work and was willing to do the rest of the work, but apparently Choice warranty did not approved part of the work. Choice has not contact it me to let me know why, it was all electric related. Wall switches and two lamps were not working. I have been trying several times to get a hold of someone in choice over the phone and they told me they would have someone call me back from the approval department and nothing no phone call.
I used to be with American Home Shield before and you were at least able to talk to the people that made the decisions right on the spot. This thing with Choice that you have to wait for a call back is ridiculous. Unless the call back would be done within an hour. But no it takes days and that is if they call you back at all. In the meantime you have to be subject to answer every call that comes in. And with all the spam calls we get nowadays that is torture. I believe now that is what Choice wants so the customer gets tired and gives up or forgets about it.
Well I am going to give up alright if I am not able to talk to someone. And just look for another company. THIS CALL BACK TACTIC HAS TO STOP. CHOICE NEEDS TO CHANGE THAT IMMEDIATELY OR ELSE. I am going to call one more time and if I don’t get to talk to someone that has the authority to resolve this problem. Then I’ll be looking for another company.

I'm pleased with the service I got. The man that did the job really knew what he was doing. It all happened and was completed in one day and it was awesome. He cleaned up after himself as he went and kept things dry as possible, I was well pleased. The old water heater made me feel unsafe. It moaned and groaned all hours of the day and night and just a trickle of water. The water heater had a ton of rust and I was constantly cleaning rust from the spouts and screens. My water temp is perfect now, my pressure is lots better and I had forgotten what clean water was like. I'm very happy with my warranty choice. CHOICE HOME WARRANTY is the best choice. I feel safe again and secure.

Our microwave stopped working. The repair technician concluded that the entire front door needed to be replaced since it contained all of the touch screen options for operation. Choice concluded that a full replacement was the most economical solution and provided $194 for a new one. Although I may have to spend a little more than that, I feel that this was a good outcome for me. I appreciate both the technician and the Choice company for this outcome

CHW was very responsive to our claim. Unfortunately, the company assigned has a lot to learn. They showed up to work a day before scheduled and we were not home. They claim nobody was home when they came on the scheduled day. When they got the address corrected, they showed up and fixed the problem in a timely manner. However, they left and invoice claiming we owed them several hundred dollars above the deductible. A call to CHW after they left confirmed that we were correct in not paying the total invoice, called the company/technician in question and told us we were in the clear.

Our main refrigerator quit cooling so we placed a claim with Choice. The first vendor picked it up within hours and scheduled the appointment a week out. That vendor was a No Show and would not respond to texts/calls. 2nd vendor picked up service call but after googling him, I learned he was an ex-con who served 15 years for attempted murder. My A/C problem seems to be resolved. My claim was dispatched to True Comfort HVAC. Initially, True Comfort scheduled an appointment on Friday September 26th. In a couple of hours, I received a call to change the appointment to Tuesday September 23rd; three days earlier. The technician arrived at the front end of an 1 - 8 pm window. He, Sergei, was courteous and competent and seemed to fix the cause of the water leak on my A/C unit. However, when I asked him a few basic questions about the problem and repair, he had great difficulty understanding what I was saying and wasn’t clear with his response. I asked if he had a work order filled out and he answered, “It works good now, thank you, good-bye.” It was obvious, English is not his primary language. I do expect Choice Home Warranty to email me the repair notes for my very FIRST claim. You have my information, but I will provide it in this review for your convenience;

I purchased 3 Home warranty plans from Choice Home Warranty 2 years ago but after 6 out of 8 rejected or denied claims, I have cancelled 2 of them. And I will cancel the last remaining one if my current claim before one of my tenants is delayed or not performed in a good and timely manner. Choice Home Warranty makes it difficult to file a claim and difficult to resolve problems. I am supposed to receive a refund for my cancelled policies, but have low expectations of receiving a refund check in a timely manner. We will see.
They rejected simple claims for simple appliance repairs or failed to get a repair contractor to get in touch with me for weeks at times. My tenants and I often went for weeks without the use of our dishwashers, clothes washers and HVAC systems without any progress communication from Choice Home Warranty. When you buy a home warranty product, you hope to have problems addressed quickly and save some of your own time and effort finding contractors and scheduling repairs. Choice Home Warranty failed miserably in my case. I do not recommend Choice Home Warranty.

Tech arrived on time. Actually, the 'fail to operate' condition was resolved. However, the fridge was left with a fairly loud noise that would initiate when the freezer door opens/closes. As the tech recognized that noise and the appropriate part, he quickly was able to order it and we lived to fight another day.

The technician who came immediately diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher, replaced the defective motor and was done in no time. The dishwasher is working perfectly now. Scheduling with this company was very smooth, as was the replacement. I have been very satisfied with this company.

Do not sign up with them. Service is really bad. Typically it takes 3 to 5 days for them to setup an appointment. And usually you pay the service call fee and wait for the technician to come out again with parts. So you your appliance/system is not functional for a week at least. Typically the service technicians won't show up in the window scheduled and you end up waiting all day. On top of that there are so many exclusions. Save your money and get a local contractor who can fix it much faster. You think you will save money but it is not worth the hassle and often without any savings.

The technician, Mick, arrived on time and did diagnostics check on my Maytag washing machine, twice. He discovered that a part was worn out and per the computer had not been manufactured since 2005. He informed us that the machine was not able to be repaired. I appreciate his candidness and effort to try and get our machine operating. As a result Choice Home Warranty is replacing the machine. We are really so appreciative. We have had this warranty service for quite a few years and they have always been wonderful to work with.

Just had my exhaust fan replaced and covered all within one day by WireNuts Electrical Solutions. Ralph did a great job and was very thorough in helping clean out the gunk from the fan so when everything went back in, it was squeaky clean, and the fan works great. This is the 4th time or so I have used Choice Home Warranty for a house repair. They have fixed and covered my air conditioning, holes in my heating system piping, my furnace engine, and I think that's it. This company has brought me the worst moments of dealing with any company in my life. WHAT A SCAM. AC has broken 3 times in 3 years. Twice, the company that THEY chose suggested a replacement. All claims are denied. They deny the claims and then REQUIRE you to pay out of pocket to fix the issue before they will even consider any repair in the future. DO NOT give your money to this company. Not one dollar. They are thieves. And the "claim specialists" are extraordinarily rude and callous providing absolutely zero help. Third party ran service! Ac went out mid summer and couldn't even get someone on the phone about my claim for ac for days! They couldn't tell me how long (time or day) it would take to get a technician out. I had to call an ac company who was at my house in 20 min. They offered to reimburse me but when it came down to it only offered $50 refund for a $320 fix! My ac company tried to call an follow all steps to get me full refund but no one would answer the phone. I pay over $600 a year and never got anything covered from them it was always "well that's not covered sorry". Waste of money and will 100% not renew or recommend to anyone ever! Don't do it it's a money scam!!!

From the time I made the claim online and the ice maker repair was completed was less than three hours. I was very happy with my technicians, but very disappointed with the way Choice Warranty handled my claim. My heating system would not turn on at the end of May 2025. I put in a claim with Choice Warranty the first week of June and had a technician look at the system the first week of July. He informed me he had to order some parts and would get back to me when they came in. I was charged $89.00 for the service call. I never heard back in over a month's time when I finally decided to call back. They informed me I.d have to open a new ticket and pay another $89.00 for a service call.
The second technician came out, ran some diagnostics, and said I'd hear back. Four days later they informed me the claim was denied because the system was tampered with and a part was broken. Nobody but these two technicians touched the system except for an annual cleaning by a licensed plumber a year earlier. Needless to say I filed an appeal and am waiting for a response. Good thing the system didn’t break down last December or January!

And of course it was Friday morning after 10 when I noticed that it was 80 degree in the house and the air was set to 75. I went on the computer logged into my account and put in for a claim. It was very easy to put in the claim and it was processed quickly. Received a call from the air company to schedule an appointment, Monday morning at 9 the air conditioning service man showed up and took care of the problem very fast. It was a reputable company with very professional staff. Friendly and courteous.

I have had Choice Home Warranty for over 9 years. They do cover your home and additional things that are on your contract, but there are a lot of things they do not. They recently replaced my indoor and outdoor a/c units. The technician messed up on the install (not Choice's fault), but the technician diagnosed a complete fill line replacement. The warranty does not cover the fill line. I would have had to replace it out of pocket. So I had a 2nd opinion done, and they found that it was not the fill line, but something as simple as not putting gasket tops on the Service line suction valve. So, once I found out that it wasn't the fill line that was leaking, I called in another claim because they closed the first 1. That means I had to pay another service fee. So I will be disputing that service fee, because the technician diagnosed the problem wrong, and the issue is actually covered by the warranty company, had he actually done everything to find the leak.

I have had CHW for over 10 years and up until now, I've never had any problem with them. However, last week I had my yearly inspection done to my furnace and the experts that completed that inspection found a hole in my heat exchanger, resulting in them condemning the unit with the strong recommendation that the unit be replaced for safety reasons. I filed a claim with CHW and they sent a tech out who inspected the unit and agreed that, due to the age of the unit (18 years), the unit should be replaced. CHW decided only the heat exchanger needs to be replaced, which is not advisable on an 18-year-old unit, so they denied that tech's recommendation and sent out another company who also agreed that the unit needs to be replaced.
Again, they denied his recommendation and are sending out another company. It's obvious they are going to continue sending out different companies until they find one that will bend a knee to their finding that only the heat exchanger needs to be replaced which is not safe. Even without the conclusion of this new company who has not been here yet, so far I have had four different experts who's careers are in working on these heating units, who have ALL said for safety reasons the unit needs to be replaced and putting a new heat exchanger on an 18 year old unit is not a good idea yet CHW Obviously finds the finding of four different experts means nothing.

We purchased our home in July, we had an inspection that stated all appliances were in good and working condition. We find out our washing machine has an issue with balancing during the spin cycle where 85% of the time it will need to stop and reset, wasting water, time, etc. We submitted a claim with Choice Home Warranty and they sent a technician out. The service charge was $75.
The claim included details stating the machine seems to be broken for a while. The claim was ultimately denied because it was broken “prior to the start of the policy” (my inspection says otherwise). If that is the case, and they had the information from the beginning, why send out a technician and waste my time and money? I’m very frustrated with the experience. They will not refund the money or provide an exception to the repair.

If the diagnosis is to replace due to the age of the appliance I give the program a 5 for this part. It seems even if you have higher end appliances the replacement amount that is provided is just what is considered a standard market level that is lower than a comparable higher end model that you have. My husband and I had fight our home insurance for 2 years after Hurricane Michael October 10, 2018 just to get enough money in order to purchase another home. I want to WARN everyone in looking for a Home Warranty to avoid Choice Home Warranty AT ALL COSTS!! They take your money and deny every claim regardless of whether the service is included in the contract. After the tech arrived and pulled the ice maker out he said it needed to be replaced and within 45 minutes of the tech sending his report into Choice I received a text message from Choice saying it would not cover the repair. I even went through the appeal process and they could care less. I even ask if there was a possibility of splitting the cost and was told NO. I'm 77 years old and on a fixed budget. They are useless!!!!

I had been with AHS for more than 15 years and for the most part they were ok. A few hiccups with covered items but it was time for a change. Looked at several home warranty companies but decided on CHW on Aug 5, 2025. Unknowingly my refrigerator out of the blue went out on Sept 8th and I called it in on the 9th. My claim was denied based on the report the "electrician" not an appliance repair person wrote in the report. CHW cited the refrigerator was broken before I filed the claim (now they say I lied but not using those words). They said it was a pre-existing condition known or unknown.... WHAT?? Even after speaking with someone up the chain the determination is still the same. I see cancelation in their future. No more home warranties for us.

I purchased a contract from Choice Home Warranty. I had a 4-year old Maytag that needed repair. They sent an untrained technician who came seven times to the house trying to fix it. I was without a washer for 3 months. Going to the laundromat was expensive. They were supposed to buy me a replacement. They didn’t do it! Then they sent a skilled technician from Sears. It took another three visits before it was operational. It worked for a few months. Then, I took out a contact with Sears Home Services the next year. The same washer started breaking down again. I bit the bullet and bought a new GE mid-range washing machine from a local, private appliance store, plus a five-year contract with the store. So far, the new washer is working like a dream.

Washer machine broke. Paid $100 to repair it deductible. Found out it was destroyed. Looked at the offer given by Choice. Found their sale on that machine through Lowe’s so accept it only to find out a pop-up shows up saying it could take 30 days. The sale is now going off. I’m gonna cost $400 more. I also have to pay 50 to haul it away. The machine was only three years old and you offered wholesale price and I have to do all the work. Very crappy service and I still have not been given the E certificate, which I thought would be quick to find out. It could take up to 30 days so you can get your big reward back. I will not renew with you anymore and give you a bad review all over the internet. This sucks the way you take care of your customers.

You offer $818.00. $818 is not adequate when a similarly sized refrigerator in Costco is over $2,550. Terrible Home Warranty Company. Their sales people lie and tell you they will cover your appliances with a comparable one, but that is a flat out lie. The contract states in small writing they have “The Right” to reimburse less than what your appliance was worth. And believe it, they did it to us. We were without a washer for 3 MONTHS due to this and when we tried to talk to supervisors, they gave a whole separate dept of people whose jobs are to be the bad guys and tell you “too bad”’ we aren’t giving you what you need, with absolutely no apologies. Bad company, stay away. I’m in the process of making a claim through the BBB, and the CFPB. I’m not gonna sit by and have other people go thru what we did.

Service man was polite, neat, experienced, and made the repair quickly and thoroughly. He tested the refrigerator at the outset to witness the problem. (i. e. No water coming out, & sound of water leaking behind the refrigerator.) He luckily had the needed part for my 20 year old GE refrigerator-freezer. He replaced the valve assembly quickly, and tested the water flow and that the tubing was holding tightly to the assemble. I'd recommend him for any of my future repairs.

It is unfortunate to inform a customer that they must wait 30 days to receive compensation for a faulty product. I have paid on time each month for years. We are still paying for Choice Home Warranty, and the refrigerator can't be fixed. Ok, but we will not be compensated for 30 days? Also, sometime last year, a rather new microwave broke over our oven, a plastic piece that probably costs .08 cents, but the technician deemed it the owner's fault, saying we must slam the microwave?? No, we close it on a daily basis, so on that item, they did not repair.
