Choice Home Warranty has strung me along for 2 years to fix a dishwasher that I paid 3 service men and still no repair or replacement. My kitchen has mold now and bugs coming through my drain. I wrote a letter to the BBB, and they talked me into staying with this company and a promise to fix their errors. They finally sent another technical becasue for sure the 1st man was not accredited person, was mean and rude told me to clean with vinegar. I tried to cancel in 2022 but they kept promising repairs that never happened, and everything I thought my policy was canceled they withdrew money out of my bank. In a haste I wrote a letter to the BBB. They sent another recommendation whom again took 90 dollar fee then canceled my policy the next day with no letter or formal email. This company ended up costing me over 3000 dollars for a 400 dollar dishwasher. It's a scam

Choice Warranty was very responsive and approved our water heater replacement in a very short time. It was diagnosed, ordered, and installed in less than 1 week. Very impressed by the quick turnaround. The installer was very professional and provide excellent customer service.

Making claims is very simple. They always respond very quickly and usually schedule appointments within a reasonable time frame. Compared to other companies, CHW certainly works very well and efficiently. You can even contact them by phone, and they will assist you in Spanish.

We just signed up for the Ultimate plan (the "best" of what is offered) with Choice Home Warranty, despite my concerns about the negative reviews --- and I wished I had trusted my gut. Our AC went out yesterday and they did a great job of getting someone to us within the same day that we submitted the claim, but then denied out claim (after we paid the required $75) because "the failure does not constitute normal wear and tear and/or is excluded from coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract". What's the point of having home warranty if they don't fix the issue? We could have skipped paying the $75 and just went with someone we know and trust.

Well, he diagnosed the problem but didn't have the part to fix it yet. He said he is scheduled to return tomorrow or he might be able to squeeze me in today to finish. To me it seems like this is always the case. We'll see if he tries to charge me a fee when he returns like the guy that came out to repair our refrigerator.

I like this homeowner warranty, they do what they say, and they get things done. My claim was handling properly and in a timely fashion, a very inform tech showed up and ordered me the needed part to repair my fridge and my water heater. He told me that he will be back with the needed parts as soon as he gets them. He did. Thank you.

Very pleased with the service I received. After reporting the issue I had I was scheduled with a technician the same day. Almost within an hour! The technician that came out was excellent. When I first purchased Choice Home Warranty I read a lot of bad reviews from other customers and I came close to canceling my contract. Well I had my first appliance breakdown. I filed a claim. The next day the rep was at my address and ordered my part to my GE washer. It is up and running and I have nothing but good things to say about this company. So glad I didn't cancel my contract. I highly recommended this company. Don't believe everything you read. Seek for yourself. My experience is highly rated and the rep was so nice. Great job Shannon. Love it.

I was very pleased that Choice Home Warranty promptly sent Flamingo Appliance and Cooper, our technician, was prompt, diagnosed problem, and by the next day CHW agreed to replace my double oven because it was not repairable. I was thrilled as I was skeptical of Warranty Companies. They offered me a pretty fair price. I accepted and realized payment was in form of a Lowe's eGift card. So, I was limited to one store to purchase my oven and the eGift card would take up to 30 days to redeem. Therefore, I'll be without a good, workable oven for up to 30 days. That I wasn't expecting. I am a caregiver for my 99 year old mother and 3 other family members. Thank you Kindly for accepting my honest review.

Great technician, less than reliable company scheduling,. My appointment was made on Thursday for Saturday then canceled at the very last minute because my part was not delivered, we rescheduled for Monday between 10 am and noon, I began calling the servicer at 11:00 am because I had not gotten confirmation of the part being delivered on Saturday evening, and was not sure if I would get service on Monday. I had to call Choice Warranty to contact the servicer because my calls to the company were unanswered.
My tech arrived at 1:15 pm he stated that he had not been informed of the time block of 10 and noon by the company scheduler. With the scheduling issue I experienced I felt less than protected by Choice because once a company is assigned to your claim if you are dissatisfied with that company, it is nearly impossible to cancel and have your claim reassigned without paying again and having your claim approved again. I am relieved that both my claims were completed by the same technician and so far so good.

CHW was definitely on top of our issue, The problems stemmed from the HVAC contracted to you. True Comfort HVAC Palm Springs showed up and refused to go on a tile roof. There are 903 tile roofs in our complex. The second vendor never showed up for the appointment which was Sears Home Service. Lee's Heating and Air, the third vendor, showed up on time and promptly fixed the problem.

Do not use Choice Home Warranty. They do not repair what was covered in the contract. The repair contract technician spoke to me over the phone and then wrote in the notes it was customer damage. It was not customer damage, it was faulty. Both parties said that even though it’s failing due to age it’s not faulty and that they will not cover it.

The technician was patient and he worked with my schedule when I couldn't make the specified time. Once he arrived, he gave me a thorough diagnosis of what the problem was in under 15 minutes. I would highly recommend him for any appliance work in the future.

I was previously contracted with CHW and experienced some difficulties getting service and finding local contractors to solve my problem. If that happens again I will cancel my service as I did last time. I was just assured that that experience wouldn't be repeated. I will approach this new contract with an open mind. We'll see...

They sold us two warranties for 6 years. The man told us it would cover our wall units. I had them come out and paid my 75.00 and they didn’t fix. Said the wall unit wasn’t covered. I looked at my warranty and it should be cover wall units but they said it didn’t. Not happy.

I like Home Choice but some of their companies they choose is not always good choices. But it works most of the time. And the price went up but I guess prices are everywhere since our leaders have made bad decisions. Which makes me very sad. But I still recommend Choice.

I filed a claim with Choice Home Warranty for a leaking toilet at my home in Madisonville, LA. The plumber they assigned came out three times (Sept 30 and twice on Oct 1), collected my $75 service fee, and the toilet is still leaking. I have text messages showing my repeated follow-ups and the plumber’s promise to return the next day — but he never showed.
When I contacted Choice for help, I was told they were “not responsible for the contractor’s work” and that I should deal with him directly. They even offered his address instead of sending another technician. If I’m expected to manage and dispute repairs myself, why pay for a warranty at all? The plumber also made inaccurate claims about the cause of the leak and clearly misdiagnosed the issue. My husband now believes his work may have caused additional damage.
This entire experience shows a lack of accountability, oversight, and customer service. Choice Home Warranty failed to resolve a basic plumbing issue after three attempts and refused to take ownership. I will not renew my policy and strongly caution others to read the fine print before signing. Receipt upload exceeded maximum upload size.

The technician called the night before to inform what time he would be here for my appointment. He arrived at the precise time he told me. Told me what was actually wrong with my appliance. I got a quote for the replacement of my appliance which I thought I would be able to use at my choice.

I had a plumbing issue. I reported it the first time and was assigned a plumber to fix it. Unfortunately this plumber after coming to diagnose problem and collecting my service fee. Did not show up again even though he was authorized to. I notified Choice Warranty that the plumber did not show up. The work was re-assigned promptly and the second technician was prompt to deliver service. Now my issue resolved. TY CHW.

I've had 3 claims with Choice and all 3 have been denied. I would not recommend them at all. The last claim took over a month and a half to send a repair man and they denied the claim because there's mold around the door. This is after it sat for a month and a half waiting to get fixed. YES there probably was mold there after that length of time.

Worst Home Warranty service. Cancelled after two monthly payments, worst customer service ever, rude managers and CHW third party service provider are not knowledgeable/skilled technician, took a month for simple ice maker fix with multiple visits wasted time and money. There are better home warranty providers and will not recommend CHW.

Derek was responsive and kept in touch with me prior to his arrival. The issue was a frustrating one and he was professional and focused on diagnosing the problem. The company response is slow and only finds technician that are 3 hours away. Then when they diagnose the issue the technician has to come back another 3 hours to do the repair. So repairs go slowly due to Choice procedures. The technicians are awesome.

I have been enrolled with Choice Warranty for several years. Didn't initially need to use them, but 2025 has come with multiple covered issues, i.e water heater, refrigerator, a/c, plumbing and furnace issues. This company is prompt, courteous and I have had no issues getting claims paid. I highly recommend them. They are the BEST!

Javid provided excellent service and advice regarding our Samsung dishwasher. Samsung products are known for being contrary and troublesome to appliance repair persons... Javid handled the problem with professional efficiency and courtesy while providing excellent advice regarding accommodating the dishwasher's propensity for "unusual" failure codes. I am very disappointed with the denial of my claim by CHW. I home had a backup which effected my toilet, tub and shower. I spoke to a representative who reviewed my claim an told me based on the extended warranty I purchased I would only be charged $100.00 service fee. I paid the fee and was charged an additional $690.00 after the claim was denied in order to fix the problem. I filed a dispute and was still denied. I have been a long time customer and would not have filed a claim if I had known it would be denied.

The locksmith that came to our home was excellent. We had quite a few locks to be rekeyed (31 to be exact). He finished the job fairly quickly in my opinion. Extremely hard worker. He will most definitely get recommendations from us and will also use him in the future.

Received my policy for a decent introductory price but was pressured pretty hard to get a multi year policy. I understand that I would save money but requiring all of the premium within 60 days is excessive. They are providing the coverage I need for my older home. Hopefully it will not be needed.

1st. Very disappointed with Choice Home Warranty. I regret ever having purchased the warranty. And I bought a three year warranty no less! 2nd. When you really need help... Choice Home Warranty was not there for me until nearly 2 weeks had passed. 3rd. When I had a claim, Choice customer service reps (aside from the manager who i ultimately got through to) were rude, unprofessional, & delayed the process while I had water running across my kitchen floor for 10 days (yes, ten days!) 4th. How long they took to get someone here it is absolutely ridiculous & unacceptable for what I paid. 5th. Their customer service reps were objectively rude, unprofessional, & just an all out horror to deal with!
6th. They send me an email with an 'offer' to find my own technician & have them go through all the paperwork & use only approved chw parts & then I pay for the repair & that they'll reimburse me - if - They approve the claim. I paid choice home warranty to do this... Not for me to do the work that they are supposed to be doing! I have no positive review here. Absolutely disgusted with the poor service I've received so far. I'll be surprised if they even publish this review... they probably won't. At minimum, I hope they read it & realize that I wish I had gone with another home warranty program. There's simply no excuse for what I had to go through - given how much I paid.
6th. When I finally got through to a manager... it took a day or two, but finally my claim was assigned to technician - that lives three (3) hours away!? Because even though I live in a large metropolitan area - with more appliance repair shops than I can count, I was repeatedly told that no technician would accept the call to fix the refrigerator & that they would call around to find one! They didn't! Not until I got through to a manager & demanded they get someone here asap! Then and only then did a technician respond.
So my fridge was finally repaired & guess what?! CHW denied the claim! That's right! Not only will they not reimburse the technician who already did the work and he told me what they gave him for drive time - which I found to be abhorrent! Apparently, the waterline sprung a leak - the waterline that feeds the water dispenser & ice cube maker was leaking & because they saw it as normal wear & tear - that's not covered. So, either way, whether they publish this or not, hopefully they read it & realize they need to make some serious changes with how they do business.

I was very pleased with the time for approval of my claim. I am very disappointed with the length to receive payment for my claim. The claim was for my washing machine which your claim representatives approved for it to be replaced. But the approval email stated it would take up to 30 days for me to receive payment. I am 80 years and my husband is 89. We are not able to take our clothes out and it is extra hard on us to wash clothes by hand. I would think that once the claim is approved that sending the payment would be extremely quick.

Diagnosis correct. Repair correct. Friendly service. Professional. The initial contact by phone was easy. Administrator was friendly and efficient. The text to notify me were on time however the parts came in a day late, but it really didn’t matter. There are two different technicians that worked on the microwave. The first one did the analysis and explained to me in detail what was wrong with the microwave. The second technician repaired the microwave and explained what he was doing at the time. They also told me that the microwave is connected to the stove so if the microwave was to go out completely that both parts would be replaced. I just hope Home Warranty Choice understands that completely.

My dryer is only 6 years old and suddenly no hot air coming in the dryer. I requested repair appt through online and I had to wait for 2 days to set up an appointment. The technician came out and he quickly analyzed and fix really quick. He is clean and kind. I am so happy to get my dryer is working well. I only paid $89.00 for copay.

Jericho fixed my dryer issue in less than 20 minutes. It was shaking violently throughout the wash/spin cycle, but it now works like new. They communicated before arriving to ask for the model number, and they showed up with the parts on hand. Great communication and fast service. Highly recommended.

My only problem is that it takes too long for your company to get someone to my my house. Just remember I need to be scheduled either a Monday or Tuesday as I have to go to Delaware on Wednesday thru Saturday. Just try and get someone to my house as soon as you can.

Technician arrived, introduced himself and asked what was wrong with my HVAC. He inspected the inside heater and took pictures of unit including removing the filter and taking several more pictures. Next he inspected the outside unit and suggested adding some freon would keep the unit from freezing up. Last week it froze up and I turned it off to thaw. It worked but it froze up this week. I turned it off and thawed the unit. This time I kept the heater fan on continuously and it worked fine. I followed the technician’s advice and turned off the unit early yesterday morning before his visit.

This company is horrible. I have a loose some power out in a few of my bedrooms and it is most likely a loose neutral. I have spoke with other electricians, they are claiming circuit overload. I had to pay for the first visit and now they don’t want to spend money to find loose wire. While it is possible there may be a circuit overload it’s possible it’s not according to my electrician that I know they just don’t want to spend the money to find the loose wire nut. I am so tired of this company, they would not cover my pool heater too, many loopholes. I’m starting to wonder what do they cover. I will be reaching out to the president of the company to tell him his company is a scam. They don’t actually cover anything. Intermittent power inside a house should be covered more than one hour to actually find the problem!!!

The local plumber, Top of Texas Plumbing, showed up the same day I made this claim. Both plumbers were polite and courteous. Once they assessed the problem, it took longer to get CHW's approval by phone than it did for the actual repair to be completed. I would recommend Top of Texas Plumbers in the Lubbock Texas area!!

Repair person was wonderful. My only complaint is when submitting a claim, the appointment date and time is never correct in the system and the technicians come when they want to schedule. The repair causing confusion on the date and time you can expect the technician.

Tamika was incredibly helpful in working with our claim. It was an ice maker which was part of a Samsung class action lawsuit. It was frustrating at first but Tamika was patient and help guide us with Samsung. We thought we were caught between 2 companies. But Tamika and the other people on the phone helped us.

The GE repairmen arrived right on time. My double-stack washing machine was not working. They worked on it briefly and were able to get it working. The tech that came to my home was very nice and seemed to know the issues we were having with our refrigerator. However, as a whole, I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone. We have filed claims in the past that were denied and when I call to speak with someone, I had to leave my phone number for a call back. To this day, I have not received calls. I left a phone number to cancel my policy, again no call back. Again, I do not recommend.

This was my second time filing a claim. The first time CHW sent someone for our AC, that didn’t know what they were doing, so we sent them away. I had two services done with two different repair technicians. One was for a washing machine and the other for a garage door motor that failed in the heat and died. Both were very good at their professions and as a retired tech, I was fully impressed. Now I have a new working garage door again and I also have a gift card for a new washing machine from Lowe's. Choice Warranty determined mine was not cost effect to have it repaired. Well.... I did wish this would have been 100% covered but I will need to add a couple of hundred dollars to even get a sale item due to today's costs as advertised at the Lowe's website. I did accept their first offer though.

Called CHW, set up the claim and the tech showed up 2 days later. Finally, after 6 visits to repair the same problem, he declared the refrigerator beyond repair. The next day CHW came through with a replacement dollar figure for the frig. I am happy with the results. Thanks CHW.

Was on the website reviewing plans when the phone rang. The associate was informed, polite, and understandable. He suggested a senior and veteran discount plan that saved me lots of $$, and the rates are locked. Have been with American Home Shield for 15 years. Quality of service has consistently declined while the cost has consistently increased year over year. Could not have been more helpful and attentive. I've switched from AHS to Choice.

Choice was good about getting first appointment scheduled. However, day of appointment, I even confirmed with company, Electrolux canceled close to the end of the day. Appointment was between 8am-5pm, the whole day was wasted. Choice did good to change the vendor so I wouldn’t risk another day. The second tech Efrain was great. Communication was great and he was punctual. This was a built in microwave and choice decided to replace it. $195 e-gift card is what I got. That doesn’t include the 3 hour I spent taking out the old and putting in the new. I was under the impression from what the sales rep said when I bought it that appliances like that would be installed as well when replaced. And up to 30 days to get the e gift card. I went and spent out of pocket to replace. Should credit my account for reimbursement.

I contacted CHW about my dryer stopping. They set up two different appointments -no show and no replies. Nothing. Phone numbers, e-mails, contact page -no good at all. Fraud. The 5-star review is mainly for the technician who repaired my garage door. The technician was very knowledgeable and thorough with the repair. With regards to the repair coverage and cost associated with the repair, I had to pay $100 for the service fee and additional $510 to affect repairs and not covered by the insurance. Needlessly to say, very costly.

I called to have a technician come to my home to look at a problem that a different contractor had identified. He arrived the next day and discovered that the other contractor had been mistaken. He solved the problem by simply cleaning a blockage in a pressure switch. No replacement part required.

This has to be the worst home warranty company I have ever dealt with, and I've been using home warranty companies since 2006. I have claims denied saying it existing before the policy started even though I was previously covered and never had a lapse. I am currently have a claim that has been opened for over 3 months. They approved the claim, but vendor refused to come back out because they had not been paid by Choice and were waiting on several payments from the company. They finally sent another tech out that actually showed up after 3 vendors never came out, and I'm waiting again for the same approval. A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

ECO Drain & Plumbing arrived promptly at the scheduled time. The plumber repaired the leak in the pipe behind the toilet and replaced a needed part from the toilet tank and a control valve. The technician was very friendly and professional, but had some trouble repairing the refrigerator's door water dispenser. Once the technician completed his work, he did test and the water dispenser was working. Four hours after the technician left, the water dispenser started leaking again. It is obvious, that the technician did a poor job or was not fully trained on this type of refrigerator.

Well, it's difficult to say that everything has been a positive experience. It's rather difficult to communicate with CHW when so much communication must be done through emails. To me, it seems you are always trying to avoid paying for claims (always some reason), they are not paid for in full based on technicians' recommendations to what is necessary to resolve the issues properly (part is not covered under policy, which has occurred many times! It is also frustrating that CHW will not send you an E-amil where is states in their policy where such part are not covered. I do greatly question why I have purchased 4 policies in the past. Shame on me!

Mr. ** it is a good worker, unbelievable, he doesn't stop until everything is done, and when something is not the way it supposed to be, he really doesn't like that. He works on my Dryer machine, he fixed (well something didn't went the way) he wanted but that's the way it is. I was impressed with his work, what amazed was that he cleans the all machine; it was dusty and disgusting from inside. You guys should tell all your technicians to do that. I was really happy with the job he did... Believe me, every time I need to call for repair, I would like Mr. ** to come to my house, but is not like that. (I was lucky to have him). Company started off really great!! The last few claims I have had have been bad. My washing machine went out and I had to keep calling back to get service. They finally agreed to pay for a new one, but only gave me money based at their cost, not actual cost. So obviously, I was out of pocket several hundred to replace. On top of it all, the first check they sent never came and they charged me to send another one. I found the current customer service horrible and unacceptable. I asked them if they liked being without a washer and of course received canned answers. I will be looking for a new company. It’s a shame, they used to be great!

Our dishwasher has not been working since the end of August and it is now October 8th. Choice has decided that our Bosch top of the line dishwasher which is approximately 6 years old is not worth fixing. We are being offered $358,00! That will not even purchase the cheapest dishwasher on the market! And then, on top of being insulted, we have to wait until the first of November before we even receive the funds which we can only use at Lowe’s. What kind of extremely POOR NON EXISTENT SERVICE IS THIS? We have been forced to make multiple calls to even achieve this. During the dishwasher debacle our microwave went out. After 5 weeks it was finally repaired. To make matters worse our washing machine broke. After 6 weeks, it’s still broken. RUN, DON'T WALK, DON'T USE CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!!’

The most inconvenience waste of time submitting a claim online. They completely screwed it up. Wrong apartment, technician phone number said there's no such claim. Then, someone shows up going to the wrong apartment. When I have two apartments with contracts. I submitted the contract number associated with its apartment number, and they still managed to screw that up. Tech came in spite of them claiming that there was no claim number, obviously they were wrong because someone showed up, had to direct them to the right apartment associated with the policy number and claim number.

I believe Choice has committed fraud. I made a claim for a potential leak in my pipes. They sent a plumber who conducted a test and said there was a possible leak in my outside irrigation pipes. Choice sent me a statement saying the plumber did not find evidence of a leak and no repairs were needed. I then contacted the plumber and he told me he did not say no repairs were needed and he sent me a copy of his report which confirmed his statement. It appears Choice outright lied about his report as they weren’t aware I got a copy. BEWARE of this company.

The electrician fixed my problem and I am very grateful. However, his appt was never scheduled with me! I got a Reminder email at 6 am the morning of the appointment and had to take an emergency day off. Then when the electrician didn’t arrive, I called him and he said Choice cancelled the appt. He did come after that call and fixed the faulty machine that Lowe’s delivered twice! Very sloppy back office operations on Choice’s part. The electrician saved the day.

The technician was prompt and cleaned up after he was here. He needed to order a part so I asked when he would be back to install the part. He said he wasn’t sure, they would call me and set up a time for installation. I waited over 1 week and when I called Choice they said, "Sorry, your tech hasn’t finished his order." No help in getting further information. I called my Representative Karen and she got right back to me and then I heard from the company and they came out in 2 days. If it weren’t for Karen stepping in, I’d probably still be waiting! Karen was the best and the only reason this transaction is getting this review that is 3 stars.

The company and technician who did the repairs were awesome. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable. I would definitely like to use this company again. CHW, however, once again did a very poor job handling the claim. It took them over a week to get someone out there. The first company they assigned wouldn't communicate with me, and never showed up. This happens all too often with CHW. I hardly ever get assigned a company who shows up at appointed day/time and does the work successfully.
For example, the first company assigned here never showed up and it took over a week to reassign it. Thank goodness the second company they assigned did a great job. But usually, the companies they assign either don't show up or they have to make 2 or 3 trips to make a simple repair. CHW was a really competent company when I first started using them, but unfortunately, over the last 2 or 3 years, their choice of repair companies has made getting repairs done more frustrating than satisfying. I probably will not renew my contract with CHW when my current one expires. But again, let me emphasize that the second company they assigned to this particular claim was really, really good. If they had assigned this company first, I would be most satisfied. But the fact that they took over a week to find a good company makes me unsatisfied.

Made a claim for a clogged downstairs clogged toilet, it's been two weeks and the company they gave the job to still cannot fix it. Save your money and just take care of hiring the correct company with adequate techs. Choice Warranty does not take into account the issues the policyholder is going through but pass the problem onto the repair center and expect the customer to do all the phone calls and pry updates from these repair companies instead of dealing with a plumber for a plumbing issue.

The gentleman who came was very nice, but he looked at the area where there is mold, and stated it was dirt, it was mold!!! So it is interesting that I have a home warranty and it was not covered, why pay for a warranty, and still have to pay the bill. We purchased a home warranty through Choice Home Warranty as part of our home-buying process, expecting reliable protection for major systems. When our HVAC system failed shortly after closing, we submitted a claim supported by a professional home inspection, the seller’s service invoice confirming “systems performing normal,” and a licensed technician’s report showing a newly developed coil leak and refrigerant loss.
Choice’s review process was surprisingly fast — but only to deny the claim. Their stated reason was that the issue was “pre-existing,” even though the evidence clearly showed the system was functional and no visible or detectable issue existed at the time coverage began. We filed an appeal, submitted additional documentation, and were denied again within hours.
Choice Home Warranty appears to operate on a model of rapid denials rather than fair claim evaluations. Their marketing promises peace of mind, but our experience demonstrated the opposite. We are now facing a full HVAC replacement that should have been covered. I would strongly caution other homeowners against relying on this company for legitimate warranty protection.

Submitting a claim is very easy to fill out and submit. Excellent service. Response time is good. The subcontractors used by Choice warranty are not very easy to work with as English language is not always spoken well. When parts have to be ordered Choice warranty is not always notified and the sub-contractors don't give us updates.

God Bless America. Got total package for $43.00 a month with $75.00 for each service call where I was paying $125.00 for another company.

We had our first service experience with our new home warranty company, Choice Home Warranty. Our garbage disposal was not working properly, and so I went online to book an appointment on a Friday afternoon. We had a confirmation the same day and the technician was scheduled for Monday. We paid our $100 deductible to the technician's company and he did a great job in replacing our garbage disposal. He was professional, polite and cleaned up after the repair. I am very pleased with our first experience with Choice Home Warranty.

Michael with Down South Plumbing was extremely helpful. He came Monday to see what the problem was. After Michael determined the problem, he contacted Choice Home to have the replacement approved under my insurance. They approved the replacement and Michael came back the very next day and replaced the garbage disposal. He cleaned up any trash that was left and is a very respectful young man and I would use this company again and would recommend them to a friend.

I only only had two claims. The first was for my washer that is only 4 years old. The guy came out looked at it. Said he would tell Choice his findings and be in touch. He called later that day and said he ordered the part. It was like 3 days later he was back with the part and after about 20 minutes the washer was fixed. The second time I turned in a claim was a little over a week ago. My garage door broke so I new choice didn't cover it so we replaced the door. The next day it only open halfway and stopped. Pushed the button on the wall again and it went back down. Pushed it again and it opened. I called the guy who put the door up. He came over unhooked the door from the chain and opened the door by hand several times. Tweaked something in our 16 year old door opener and it went up a couple of times. But it stopped half way again going down..
I knew choice covered openers so I told him I was calling choice. I did turn in a claim and the guy that came ended up lying about choice doesn't cover a new opener. It would cost me $550.00 plus the service fee. Boy he had his speech down could. He went to go get a door. In the meantime my daughter said no it is covered. I called choice and told them what was going on. I didn't want him charging me and choice. It's taken a couple of days to get another one here. I have one coming today that lives 1.5 hours away from me.. I see. I have told him twice it is not the door it is the opener. Of course it didn't stop so the second one said he can't do anything for me.

This is my first claim. The response was immediate and a claim was filed. The representative was helpful in setting up an appointment for repair. The repair representative was set up for 7 days from claim. I would have liked a quicker time of a repair but I understand the 1 to 2 week time period specified in the contract.

** - A real piece of work. Salesman just called me from this number. I asked him to please take me off the list and he was overbearing and extreme rude by ignoring my request and laughing at me as I asked him to stop calling. I decided not to get a home warranty before this call and ESPECIALLY NOW I will never get anything from Choice Home Warranty. I will also tell others to not make any deals with this company. If this is your salesman then I can only imagine how bad it would be to deal with your claim department. Also, I am a Disabled Veteran with PTSD and thank you to this piece of work I've been sent into a anxiety fight mode. Real class act. Hope you trace this call as it was received at 9:45 am.

I've been a customer of Choice Warranty for several years now. I've only made a few claims but the process is easy and the response time for a technician is fairly quick. I have no real complaints outside of that I get their promotional emails with no problem but when changes are made to the policy (i.e. price increase) I never receive those communications. I've added their email to my contacts and it still doesn't work.

The technician that came out determined the rollers in my garage door needed replacing. Also that a tune up was required. The tuneup include lubricating and tightening different parts on the door. However, CHW stated they couldn’t cover it since it’s not wear and tear. I assumed that roller replacement is considered wear and tear.

I feel like a warranty company should match all features of an appliance when it's being replaced. I think the little addition of "it could be less in retail price is a bunch of crap". The woman I talked to and the appeal process was disrespectful. I do understand home warranties I've been selling real estate for 30 years and have sold different companies. This was a bad experience for me and I would hate to think that my customers would have to go through what I went through. I was offered $348 for replacement dishwasher. The dishwasher I currently have is a Bosch and now I realize I wouldn't get that brand. I should have at least got the features that it has. I found one for $499 but Choice Home Warranty would not give me that. In addition to that I was very disappointed that I have to pay for installation and for haul away. So in all total it's going to cost me about $500.

Our dryer had to be replaced with the new one being $709 but the warranty company offer us $348. I asked for a negotiation meeting that took place over the phone. She (Nevada) looked online & found a dryer at Lowe’s for around $500. Even tho she couldn’t find a replacement for anything close to the $347 she wouldn’t budge. She had no intention of negotiating when she called. We told her about our past experience with a washer that had to be replaced in 2021 that was fair. She told us each decision was decided on an individual case but couldn’t tell us how a decision was arrived at.
My policy specifically says the replacement would be made to a comparable new appliance. She said the offer is a cash buy out which is not mentioned in my policy. Regardless to how they have changed the wording they should stick to the wording of the policy that was sold to the customer. At this point I will not recommend doing business with Choice Home Warranty.

The response time was quick and I had a repair man out within a few days of filing the report. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately my washing machine could not be repaired. After the repair man left, I heard back from Choice with my options within a few hours. Now I'm waiting on the funds for a replacement which may take up to 30 days to receive which is the frustrating part.

He shared with me the sr benefit deal and although I had not planned on spending that much money, it was the better deal and more beneficial in the long run. If I could give zero or negative stars I would! NEVER EVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! It is impossible to unsubscribe from their emails or get off their calling list, and they will harass you no matter what you do! They have called me a dozen times to try to convince me to renew our warranty. I have told them no as many times, and have told them at least 8 times to take me off their list and stop calling. They always tell me they will and then I get more calls! Sometimes multiple calls in one day! I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

I had no problem submitting a claim and my payment of $75.00. However, I have to edit two weeks to get service. I think that is unfair. I am the caregiver for my husband who is a Parkinson’s patient. I wash and dry clothes daily. Now I have to try to go to a washer place to dry my clothes. Not very happy about that!

I have been very happy with timely responses and with your affiliations with service technicians. Choosing Choice Home Warranty was a wise decision. I do have one service call that was declined which I intend to challenge. It concerns my glass stove top which broke during cooking and caused the large burner to be on constant high when cooking.

AI is terrible, it hung up on me 10 times. Choice could not get a repairman out to me until four days after my call. Not sure I would recommend Choice. I have not used Choice for sometime, but continued to pay my policy. Very unhappy with service request.

CHW is a scam, do not spend your money with them. I purchased a 5 year warranty with them for over $2200. They denied 3 claims stating “not normal wear and tear.” The last claim was for a leaking AC coil from a well respected brand. Buyer beware! I recommend choosing a different warranty company.

CHW adjusted my monthly rate and gave me a gift certificate for half the price of a washing machine after three months of waiting and going through four technicians. The first technician recommended a replacement which had to be verified by another technician. The second technician recommended replacement of parts and parts were replaced by the third technician but the washer was still not functioning properly so the fourth technician came out and recommended a new washer.! CHW sent me out a gift certificate for 406.00 to replace my washer. So don’t be in a hurry or a bind waiting for repairs and response from CHW!!

Anton from the HVAC company was quick diagnosing and efficient with the repair. Having an issue on a Tuesday and not sending out a technician until Friday isn’t acceptable. The window was originally 11-3 on Friday and arrival was a little after 4:00pm.

I have found that Choice Home Warranty has denied several claims (pool pump, ceiling fan, refrigerator) even after the repair personnel that Choice Home Warranty sent all said “This repair replacement, etc should be covered by Choice“. Choice Home Warranty is a waste of money.

I filed my claim online and the next morning, before 10a.m. I had a technician here to assess the issue. He will be ordering the part necessary for the repair and will install it as soon as he receives it. All in all… this is the fastest service I’ve had from a warranty provider.

I appreciated how quickly the repair was made. The technician was very knowledgeable. Also, he swiftly notified me to reschedule the initial appointment which worked in my favor. The whole claim request and repair process was easy and efficiently performed. On the other hand, I didn't appreciate the commentary of the technician. I'm neutral in matters of politics and don't entertain the topic and still endured his unsolicited opinion on deportation of immigrants and climate change. I also think because I'm a person of color he felt the need to share that his bother is half ** and pranks him with spicy food. I found that to be unprofessional to say the least. Again, I respect and appreciate that everyone has different backgrounds and opinions and I'm sure he meant well or it was just nervous talk but I would've appreciated silence to the uncomfortable conversation on intimate topics.

Filed a claim for my wall oven and washer 9/26. Tech arrived 9/29 managed to reset washer, but said oven needed replacement. Told we’d get an e-gift card from Lowe’s. Today they say we can expect it with 30 days! Thirty days to replace an essential appliance is ludicrous. No way to expedite the claim. Not what I expected when we signed up.
