I have two comments to provide, one a compliment and the other a complaint:
1. Compliment: Choice Home Warranty (CHW) system is excellent. Submitting a claim is surprisingly easy. Response times were excellent including the contracted repairperson.
2. Complaint: I have several experiences with home warranty companies thus, this complaint is based on a significant number of decades of experience. A fair settlement is difficult to obtain from CHW. I believe this is demonstrated by the following:a. The initial offer for the funds for the replacement were significantly lower, by a factor of 3 to 4 times, to the actual cost of an equivalent replacement for the system and its installation. Thus, a phone call was required.
b. The phone call was timely, but issues resulted from two problems 1) the CHW agent was not quoting a comparable/equivalent system. When this was pointed out the replacement cash offer was about doubled. Still well shy of the actual replacement & installation costs.
c. The CHW representative insists that CHW uses a special pricing for the system that is less than retail and this what is used to calculate the replacement cost. The representative refused to either have CHW do the actual replacement of provide the replacement at their cost. This approach is obviously patently unfair to the CHW customer since this special CHW pricing is clearly NOT available to its customer.
Bottomline, good customer service but offset by a terrible and unfair settlement.

I used Choice service person for my refrigerator. He did an incomplete job and has not returned to complete it. I had pointed the deficiency when he had come and he overlooked it and had not come back to fix it. I used a plumber service person and the person without letting me know took the plumbing part (a Bidet/Muslim shower pipe which I had only asked them to remove and not take with them). I kept looking to see where they might have kept it and then finally I called them and it seems they took it with them. 2 experiences which were not completely satisfactory (and besides the warranty payment we are still paying them $65 to come).

The plumber resolved our issue quickly after waiting a bit for the authorization to repair. The time it took to repair the issue was almost shorter than the time it took to receive the authorization. Maybe a more direct and quicker authorization procedure can be found for a higher customer satisfaction?

Very pleased with Choice warranty. They try to send someone out as soon as possible and they keep you updated on the process. Very easy to work with. You can submit a claim as many times as you need and they will get someone to help fix the problem. I would definitely suggest to anyone they need to choose a warranty through choice.

The serviceman was very polite and got right to the problem. He told me that I would be contacted when he received the parts. I was a bit surprised when I was charged $75.00 for a service fee when I was charged 35.00 for a service call on a Dryer. Would someone please explain the difference.

Within a day of reporting a problem with my dryer, Choice Home Warranty sent out a technician who was able to fix my clothes dryer promptly and efficiently. Service techs fixed the problem in the first call. No need to come back for other repairs. Great service.

Technician came Chad's Plumbing and he was awesome. He was excellent. He did a great job. Had a lot of fun talking to him. He was Cuban. We laughed and he knew what he was doing and he absolutely did an outstanding job. I would use Chads Plumbing again if I needed a plumber. They're awesome.

I don't like using automated systems, I prefer speaking to a person. I feel a person gets the process started faster, to find a technician and get them assigned, as they understand the problem I'm experiencing. That being said: the problem we're experiencing is that our air conditioners are not cooling like they should. We need them checked as soon as possible! Thank you.

Sadly, my first two calls to Choice did not go through. My third call did. I spoke with Shawn. Shawn provided detailed information on the products and services of Choice. More importantly, he did not say or promised items that aren't supported by the company.

Timer on the dryer went out. The timer for my dryer, they do not have those parts anymore. I will have to get a new dryer when Choice get me my card. I am glad that I have Choice because so far they have been very helpful.

Yes, Nathaniel is a salesman, and I expect him to try to sell me a plan, but few go as far as he did to find a plan that would fit into my budget and still save me a lot of money over the course of the contract. Not only that, but he was a fan of my team and let me know it. Made me feel welcome to your company.

The disposal was stuck and would not come on. The repairman freed the blades, and pressed the reset button, as I had attempted to do with no luck. He re shook the center swivel free and pressed the reset again, turned the unit on and it operated as it should have!!

Your way of determining how to handle claims is terrible. My dryer that is over $1,000 to replace is compared to an inferior dryer and your compensation is based on that. Friends who have seen how you handle claims have selected other companies for their service.

I don’t like that you see my basement and garage are flooding and I laid for a sump pump coverage because I was told we had one come to find out we don’t have one. We just bought this house in Dec 2020. I would recommend your services more if I felt you did right by us. I spent 3000.00 for 6 years of upfront coverage for what, a NO? Crappy service.

The Tech was very polite and professional. However, my bathtub is still clogged and I still can't use my tub. The solution I was given is going to require them cutting into my living room ceiling to resolve a clogged tub?! I looked up my issue on Youtube and it seems my issues could have been resolved easily.

The guys that came to do the work were GREAT! The only problem I see is that a A/C problem should not be scheduled for 3 days. They should come the same day. I have NO PROBLEM getting a A/C man to my home the same day I call. I am ONLY disappointed at the 3 day turn around.

They are replacing washing machine but it is still costing me some money. They are offering less money than what I would need to buy one comparable to what I had. However it still is costing me a lot less if I had to replace it. I think it is worth having Choice.

So far the service is as respected. When I call for a service I would like for the person who contacts me to go over the problem that is at hand. My past experience just a few days ago when a plumber came to fix my dishwasher he could have went over the problem with me because all it was the plug fell out of the socket. Thirty second job.

I use Choice Warranty on both my rental properties. It makes it easier when something breaks. Trying to find a contractor to fix something isn't easy these days. I reported the issue on my phone very easily and someone called me and said they would have someone out there the next day. The next day they were there and had it fixed within an hour. It was probably about a $1000 in repairs and cost me $60.

There aren’t many technicians that are willing to work with your company because you don’t want to pay out the claims. You set up an appointment with a company who does not work with you and led me to believe I had an appointment scheduled after another company did not show up, twice. You’re not very reputable in our region.

Bustamante Door (Ariel) was very nice and professional. I have noticed that 2 times after the door hit the ground it automatically popped back up again. I will watch this for the next week and let you know how it is going. Never had this problem before Ariel worked on the door.

Not sure if this is on CHW, however Sears has taken over 6 weeks to perform a simple task, that has yet to be repaired. Not one person reached out for a model number or any information to even come prepared. Ordered part, had delivered here and scheduled out until June 12. Tempted to just fix it myself.

One morning found the valves to my washer in the laundry room was leaking. Call insurance and was repair the same day to my satisfaction. Furthermore there was a problem with the shower valves that was repaired as well.

I am happy to have the coverage as I've needed CHW several times this past year. My primary complaints: I've requested a hard copy on my coverage at least 3 times and have not received it. Yet each time I've requested, I'm told to expect in 6 weeks. The other complaint is not knowing there is sometimes additional cash outlay is required. Such as when my A/C compressor needed replacing I had to pay an additional $400.00. While I could cover the cost, I would liked to have known this was possible. Response from CHS was immediate appt. was set up w/I 24 hrs. I was very happy with that response. The service person Josh from Amoro was excellent. He tackled the problem and even cleaned up the floor from the mess that the repair caused. He is a first rate repair person!

I requested service for my AC from Choice and the first technician assigned never showed and did not communicate. Of course I was very angry. When I contacted Choice again and expressed my frustration, they assigned another technician through a different company. The new technician communicated with me prior to his arrival, arrived when he stated, was friendly and completed the work as requested. My AC is working and I am very pleased.

Had an HVAC company out to fix my AC unit outside as it makes a very loud clunking noise when it stops. Tech said yeah, the fan motor is bad but I can’t replace it cause the warranty co will say it technically still works. He continued to tell me the problem would lead to bigger ones like the condenser and cap if left unchecked. So why would Choice not pay for a $60 part to stave off $500 mid-summer??? Nonsensical. I’m going to lose my air mid summer when this could have been repaired when it’s not 110 out. Thanks a lot guys. Way to stand up for your clients.

He also had good tips on which compressor I should select, his experience was beneficial and qualified. I have had some technicians who I felt should not be doing anything at my house. Hot garbage on a Texas day. I've been paying for years on their "premium" plan specifically for the added coverage for the AC unit at our house that we purchased 3 years ago. The unit is 15 years old so I thought I was doing the smart thing. We finally needed it this week and were told that they wouldn't honor our agreement. Apparently having any kind of leak in the coil will cause them to void your whole claim.
Here's the deal - a 15 year old coil unit in your attic will eventually corrode and leak. It's call normal wear and tear. They pointed me to some fine print that states that it isn't covered. I have been absolutely wasting money with them for years now just to be told on appeal to pay for it myself. If you like flushing money, this is the company to go with. I wouldn't believe any of the 5 star corporate reviews. Seriously, stay away.

The tech was knowledgeable. Change out a part that he said was broken and that can cause the home not to cool on 5/27/2021. 5/28/2021 The house is still not cooling. I have been going back and forth with this same situation since 2020. I have no idea what is wrong with the unit. Upstairs is set at 68 and It's 80. Downstairs set at 68 but it is 74.

I put a claim in for AC running but not keeping my house cool. I paid the technician and he came to my house twice. The issue is still not resolved. I now have to pay a new technician to work on the same problem I put a claim in about a week ago. I have no AC. It is 85 degrees inside my house and getting hotter. Please fix the problem.

They sent a technician right away to check my AC loud noise and spent some time checking it carefully. He gave me some recommendations of a probable cause that caused the noise but it was no safety issue involved. A bad compressor is another possible cause that needs to watch for.

I contacted CHW because of a problem and was immediately given an appointment however the appointment given for the evaluation had not been relayed to provider only me via email and I was left waiting for someone who did not show up. I called the number I was provided and was told my appointment date was the following Monday. Today I spoke to the provider. An appointment was made and once again I get an email with the incorrect date. Please someone check with these vendors before you email incorrect information.

The warranty has been worth the money. Choice definitely handles the claim quickly and dispatches a technician out fast. The endless emails with offers get a little much to deal with. Just offer the best price right away instead of acting as though prices will change if you don't do something that minute.

Company didn't want to replace cooktop because it costs more than $1000. So company settled with $275. We changed some parts with that amount. If you won't fix it we will not renew or recommend your company. Other companies replace failed units.

This company is terrible...they don’t respond when promised, have you waiting on line for a long time just to not be of help!!! I spent 1,300 to have my air conditioner fixed to only have it the company recommended to not fix it correctly!!! Now it’s 90 degree weather with no air and no help from this company!!!!

Choice website was easy to apply for home warranty. The $75.00 per repair will save me money. I was able to choose my options and choose a monthly payment. I was accepted quickly and it was easy to finish the online application.

Was told when I chose you that if A unit couldn't be repaired or if it consistently was breaking down the unit would be replaced. My AC unit has had to be "repaired" more than 3 times in 3 years and still hasn't been approved for replacement.

I’m a commercial driver, so most of the time I’m on the road. Of course things still go wrong. I decided to look into home warranties and chose Choice. Within 2 months my AC went out. I called and made a claim. The technician came out repaired the unit and gave my wife a bill for my deductible. This was great considering I was out of state.

The technician took a long time with the dishwasher to figure out the problem of not enough water entering the dishwasher as well as the filter needing to be replaced. After several hours, the work was completed and the dishwasher was working effectively.

I cancelled my appointment with Queen because the tech could not get here for 2 days. The temps have been in the 90s and I have an 80 yr old husband who has Alzheimer's. I called and left a message to get an earlier time but no one called back so I cancelled the appt. He had been here before and quoted me a $200-$300 amount to clean our outside unit. I scheduled an appointment with another co. for $60.

Tom the owner came out and inspected my unit. He showed me what happened. He explained why it happened. And he gave me several options to replace it. I asked many questions and he was very very patient. I would definitely hire him again. I also felt that the options he gave me he was not trying to take money from me. He really wanted me to make the best choice for my situation.

Recently we have had an issue with claims being denied for ridiculous or made up reasons. Example, we have two hot water heaters hooked up in tandem. One is leaking and after the first fix was tried it was determined that the hot water heater tank was leaking and it needed to be replaced. Claim denied. Why?, Because CHW says it is a holding tank and that's not covered. Second example, recent repairs to our refrigerator did not fix the overall problem and another repair was ordered and we were told by the repairman that the previous repair was made incorrectly. Claim denied. Why? Because CHW is not responsible when the party they send out to make a repair doesn't do it right.

We are more than 1 week waiting for the repair of the A/C, and although the technician has come 2 times the problem continues. Keep in mind that both my wife and I are 78 years old and the temperatures are hot these days.

My unit went off after I moved into the home. I have tried for 6 days to get someone to help me and still have not got a confirmation on if the unit can be fixed. I am frustrated because it's 96 degrees in my home and I have company staying with me. I just want answers soon to know if this will be fixed or not.

The technician was amazing. However claim was denied, unrealistically. I will be appealing as I have 2004 air conditioner that stopped working. However the repair is not defined as normal wear and tear and the technician called me when he received the denial and couldn't believe the claim was actually denied. Very disappointing.

UPDATED 5/29/2021: You want me to be fair, when you send someone to repair my unit and really all I did was pay what I would have paid if I had called any electrician. I pay every month and your response is, you won’t make the repairs. Whatever is wrong it’s from wear and tear. I get my unit serviced and they have never said anything about a leak and they were just AC companies I called to service it. They could make more money to tell me the truth. Therefore I think you guys are just trying to get out Of fixing the problem. If you don’t fix it, that’s bad business and that’s not good. I’m giving you one more chance to make it right. You have no problem taking my money every month. I’m really pissed because I work hard to keep things in order but this company right now get a zero.

Compressor in a/c went to ground. Told me it was pre existing condition because compressors don’t just go to ground. Have had 2 HVAC businesses tell me that that’s false information. Choice warranty is in breach of contract. They’re a scam!!! Look at all the complaints they’ve had with the BBB and they’ve only been in business for 13 years!!! Over 7000!!!!

CHW Technician, Total Solution AC & Refrigeration SVC arrived at my home on time and expeditiously diagnosed the problem with my Microwave which was a defective switch. Subject switch removed and replaced thus returning my unit to full operational status. The technician demonstrated true professionalism and commitment to timely customer service.

Updated on 05/28/2021: Made claim in evening, they responded asap, got text next morning for company to come out that day.... It worked out that I was able to be home. But it was too quick to be able to get time off, as you have to pay deductible even if you are not able to be home. Was charged 2 deductibles for 'appliance' claims, you can only pick one appliance at a time on website, I had 2. I did put in the notes that I had 2 appliances but still had to pay twice.
Original Review: Website only lets you claim one appliance at a time which creates confusion as to deductible and how much you will actually end up paying. Also had to place a call as required from claim and representative didn't know how to calculate for time changes across USA.

I’ve had Choice warranty for a little over a year now. First time having to use you. Due to the picture the tech took you denied my claim and stated Rust is not covered because that’s what caused the leak which the text said is not true. You denied my claim and I had to pay for it myself. Crappy service from you... will be telling everyone on every social media platform to not use you.

Warranty appliance. I like how they help the senior crowd over 55. One thing I don't like is only getting your policy on a computer. I like paper documents. I've found in the past that paper is far better than storing doc on a computer. Paperwork can be filed and kept for a lifetime. Computers fail and can wipe out important info. I know this from experience. I hope your 5 star recommendation is fulfilled. I think a lot about reliable people and businesses. Honesty is the key factor in anything.

AC pushed out cold air all day.. around 21:00 the airflow stopped as normal, being the outside temp dropped tremendously... BUT the AC made a constant crewel sound... AFTER the call to CHW.. the techs scheduled a appointment... A call came in saying they could come out early.. long story short.. After about 25 Minutes, the techs found a bad circuit controller... changed the part, ALL is HAPPY NOW...

Where do I start? I submitted my water heater claim, and didn’t hear from them for a day or so. I contacted Choice and learned they could not find a contractor. I spoke with a Service Rep Karen. I asked if I got my own contractor can he fix it, and I turn my bills in for reimbursement. Karen told me, yes. I followed up by confirming all of this online. My contractor fixed it, sent them pictures and the price. I submitted the claim on 5-24-21 and my contractor fixed it on 5-26-21... How long is a person supposed to be without hot water!!?? Also mind you the cost is approx $60 less than any other contractor. They denied my claim.

The technician said my condenser was not clogged but because my system was dirty around the unit and older instead of paying for normal wear and tear because again my technician said my condenser was not clogged, you denied my claim. I will be reporting you to the Better Business Bureau and the state. I think this is horrible cuz I have been a customer for years and my technician even supported me. I will be elevating this further.

My hot water had ceased to provide hot water. I called Choice for a claim and they sent a plumber to evaluate the cause of the problem. A+ Plumbing submitted an erroneous diagnosis stating the tank was leaking and my claim was denied. Despite repeated attempts to correct the error by A+ Plumbing no further consideration was allowed by CHW to replace the components only. Claim specialists were inconsiderate to the point of rudeness when I made multiple attempts to get the coverages allowed in my service contract and therefore I cannot in good conscience give CHW a good review or recommendation, quite the contrary in fact. Subsequently I was forced to replace my 35+ year old water heater myself at 100% at my own expense.

The technician was very professional and knowledgeable, so no issue with the technician. However, I am disappointed with Choice for declining the claim to fix the problem. It appears that Choice find excuses to deny the claim. In denying the claim Choice just assumed there might be corrosion and other issues for potential loss of refrigerant without asking the technician to fully diagnose the issue and then figure out if the issue was due to my negligence. I have filed an appeal and hoping that Choice will reconsider the claim. If this is how Choice is going to respond to issues, then I will have to find another company. I switched to Choice because of good recommendation though I never had this type of issue with previous company.

AC malfunctioned and an appointment was made. Technician came to home to check issue. It’s an older unit and take Freon. Tech was very nice and helpful. HW wants a line checked for leakage. I will evaluate this situation once I find out that my AC will either be fixed or replaced. Until then we will see what happens.

Despite the delay in coming from Choice Warranty the service agent in the case was friendly and helpful and fixed the AC issue quickly. Choice had the original call set up for + 1 week to fix the refrigerant in my AC - during 88 degree days - not very helpful. First star for Tracy, She helps service issues after sold the home warranty. Second star for account center is good system easy to use and remind information. Third star for some of those technicians who follow up the problem and fixed it in timely manner. Two missed stars because some of the technicians just got the service fee reported not covered then problem back to property owner, or some request double claim to get double service fee for same problem and the follow up claim staff department just replied same as those technicians most of time.

I really appreciated the technician that came out to fix our tub spout. I initially ran into an issue as he was a no show the day before, however come to find it it wasn't his fault. For some reason my cell number was written incorrectly in the report and my backup number was completely wrong. I was able to call the technician the next day and he came out to fix the tub.

My husband was not convinced that we needed to add this to our monthly bills but after our AC went out and Choice covered it, he was convinced this was a necessary monthly expense. We have peace of mind knowing we most likely won’t have to pay a huge amount of money out of pocket when something breaks. Our freezer was not working in our refrigerator. I called and made the claim and within 2 days they had a technician at our house to assess our problem. He stated that the refrigerator was not findable. The claims person was very efficient, polite and helpful. The technician was polite and very efficient. Technician come in notice pumps not working and making noise, he said that he reports to Choice home warranty for pump to be replaced. The next day Choice said technician reports that everything was working properly so no need for replacement, this is the second time Choice denied any kind of repair so in my opinion Choice home warranty is bad so far.

Sometimes it takes a few days to find a technician that will work with a warranty company but I think that’s because my rental homes are located in a small town and contractors often want to jack up the charges. Warranty companies make them prove the problem and they don’t allow them to overcharge for the problem. I recently did some research because I was considering changing home warranty companies but I actually think Choice Home Warranty is as good as in me and better than some. I have multiple properties so I didn’t get a discount and I appreciate that.

Choice is unfortunately like many unethical insurance groups, with promises on sign-up then no delivery, with their main objective to deny coverage. First, they promised to get back in one to two days saying their average turnaround was four hours. A full two days later we had to reach them again then they scheduled something for 6 days forward on an urgent AC unit repair in a home with a sick child. Then the technician came and said that, although it was an HVAC double leak (their actual prompt example, funnily enough, so you would think eminently eligible), because one of the leak sites was the overflow cup of the AC purge water system, and although that one is on the top floor, an integral part of the AC unit and serving no other purpose with no other link to the plumbing system, they still considered it a plumbing issue so denied coverage.
They charged us $65 to make that determination and the HVAC technician from a contractor that does only that and no plumbing proceeded to repair it, charging us via his company $120. We spoke to friends who also took Choice and had the same experience and a friend working for another HVAC contractor used by them said to us that Choice was behaving like this systematically on calls he had made on their behalf so both customers and HVAC professionals contracting were in agreement about this behavior. We are weighing our legal options as well as thinking we should go public as we are a business that is a member of both the USCC and BBB, and of course cancel our Choice coverage.

Was duly impressed with her impeccable knowledge of not only, Choice Home Warranty contractual obligations, but also of the technical issues involving HVAC system. Truly impressive. She is an outstanding representative based on her high level knowledge. Although I did not like my claim being denied, she fully explain in a logical, but respectful way why the claim was denied in a convincing and logical way. Following her explanation, I clearly understood that the denial was well justified and warranted. Every claim I’ve made has resulted in long wait times to get appliances fixed. I’ve been waiting on my current claim to be sorted out for 2 months now. We’re finally at the end of it and instead of truly servicing my appliance like is advertised, I was offered in a gift card about a third of what it will cost me to completely replace my appliance on my own with a lower level model. They are saving a ton of money by avoiding doing what they advertise they will do and shifting all of the costs onto me. I also have experienced immense troubles getting in contact with anyone from CHW. It took a week for my case manager to contact me back after asking me to give her a call (which I did that day). I do not recommend CHW other than their pricing, but it’s still worth the money to go somewhere else and get supportive services.

This review will be in two parts because the job hasn’t been completed. The repair person put in coolant, but the unit would keep cutting off, he had to bypass the high pressure switch to keep it running. He is going to prepare a work order to replace the high pressure switch. Last June he had to replace the coolant in this unit, so there is a leak somewhere, I am asking you to give him permission to repair the leak, otherwise we will be doing the same thing before too long because leaks only get worse not better. Only have one complaint. Air condition unit went out on Thursday evening and I could not get anyone to repair the air conditioner until the following Tuesday. Need to improve the time for repair on such things as air conditioner. Otherwise the service was very good.

It was a call to get things started with my service request. On hold time was fairly short. Agent completed the transaction quickly. The difference between a 4 and 5 was the agent's unfamiliarity with the problem I was describing. Hoping the electrician can understand the issue.

DO NOT BUY THEIR PLANS, they are terrible and find an excuse to cover nothing!!. Talk you into buying the yearly plan by lowering the prices, they have your money and they shred your agreement I’m sure. The one star was an accident. I meant zero.

Way too many declines and exclusions on claims. Pay extra for extra protections, such as pool/spa, and Choice declined the claim by the contractor literally in minutes. Don’t even have time to fully review the claim before it’s declined. Even the contractors have stated to me that Choice treats their customers very poorly and declines claims that should be covered. I’ve had other home warranties on my other homes and didn’t have this issue. Seems like Choice loves collecting the premiums, but not paying for repairs. Very dissatisfied. Won’t be renewing.

I have had 3 technicians come out to look at my refrigerator. The first tech replaced the lines but apparently used the wrong connector, which the third technician found and told me the problem. The second technician came out to fix a split pipe most likely caused by the first technician which worked for a few days, but started leaking again due to the wrong connector being used. The third technician is coming today to fix the problem and seems very knowledgeable, and is fixing the problems caused by the first technician, as well as the ice maker which is also leaking.
I am not sure why the first technician split one of the hoses and put a connector on it, the pipe keeps splitting where the junction is, and it should be all one line like the other pipe he ran. It is hopefully fixed now but if it is not then the whole line will have to be replaced again because there is not enough pipe left going into the refrigerator to connect to it again. The technicians were all very polite and helpful and tried to fix the problem but it took the combined efforts of 3 technicians to fix the problem on 4 separate occasions and I ended up paying 3 service fees to fix the problem which should have been done in one.

Disappointed in not helping with repairs to AC. Coolant needed and system will need replaced. I feel that the coverage won’t help me now. It’s normal to leak check and coolant check before system goes out. I got hit with $400 charge and will have to do it again.

My complaint was with the timing. He did not come on the day he was scheduled so I ended up having to take 2 days off work to wait for him to come to repair the product. The scheduler tried to explain why but it is not good that I had to take 2 days off.

Technician was great. Cleaned up the dishwasher and made it look new. However you can only clean up a ten year old dishwasher. It still sounds like an airplane when running and glasses are nasty. Can’t even drink out of them. Dishwasher needs replaced!!!

My first appointment was cancelled with Greenleaf Plumbing and construction on a Monday and they failed to show or contact me on the following Friday, the next appointment. After a call from me to them I thought they were very arrogant. They said they could come the next Friday. Choice then set up an appointment with Cowan Mechanical and was very well pleased with his service. I would recommend his company to anyone.

CHW based their decision only on an assumption they did no chemical analysis on the cause of the failure and lied about the failure. They base their decision solely on the cost of the failure because they don't want to pay the repair cost.

The first repair man that was to come never showed up. The second Co. contacted was right on time and fixed the air. Would recommend him always. HOWEVER, Choice Warranty would not cover the A/C needing Freon. The reason for purchasing a warranty was to have things repaired but to find out Choice can decide (After you purchase the warranty) that they can decide if the problem is covered or not. So really you do not know until you need them if you will be covered or not. Very unhappy with this company.

This is my third bad experience with your company. I have heard many negative complaints about Choice and have decided to cancel the warranty that I just put in place last year. This should not negatively affect the technician that came out because he was wonderful. We have been dealing with a problem with our freezer for approximately 6 months. The company that was dispatched has been terrible at showing up when scheduled, needing us to harass them to actually show up. They consistently misdiagnosed the problem and were otherwise terrible. When I complained to CHW, they sent out a different company. The new tech looked at our service claim, and brought a couple parts that might be useful with him. He was able to correctly diagnose and fix the problem within 20 minutes. I will be requesting them for any other claim in the future. Avoid First Stop Appliance (also known as AAA Appliance) and do whatever it takes to have Appliance Express LLC come!

Overall, I would have been better off setting aside the 3-4 years of premiums I paid into a fund for such repairs. Second claim with no coverage offered. It would probably be more effective to do a better job of managing the manufacturer's warranty on the products in my home which I would expect to be covered.

Each time there is an item to cover that is expensive it is always declined and when it is reviewed you will give only a small portion of what the cost is of that. There is always a reason given such as it was not a normal wear and tear repair or some such garbage.

We called and had to wait over a week for someone to come out and after numerous calls. They sent someone over on Sunday at dinnertime after giving me 1 hour notice after a long wait. He comes and his card reader doesn't work so he needed cash. Which I gave him without a receipt. It's Wednesday and we are still waiting for a repairman. It now is leaking into the basement. We haven't heard a word from their vendor.

Our dishwasher quit draining and I put in a request for repair. I received an appointment for the next day within a couple of hours. The representative that came out was fantastic. He wore a mask throughout his entire visit and found the problem quickly explaining what had caused it. It was fixed quickly and everything was put back as it should be and the mess complete cleaned up. Great experience from Choice warranty and the company they contracted with!!

Plumbing is always my top priority to take care of no matter the cost. Even I have 10 policies with CHW, but the services on plumbing issues make me not renew policies in future. Each time when I reported a plumbing issue which water leaks thru the house, but CHW always scheduled plumber services for a few days later inspection and repairs later. In these few days, the water damages grow exponentially.
Then plumber came and inspected, then had to report to CHW, and waited for authorization to repair. Sometimes authorization took days, and parts order took days, for some cases, repairs not done in 2 weeks. With the more damages caused by delays, chw only paid a small fraction of the total damage cost. After I learned hard lessons, I had to hire my own plumbers to do repairs after I learned Chw’ s multiple days later visit schedule. CHW never want to pay any since I hired my own without their authorization. For other non emergency services, CHW is good.

The first company and technician was booked several weeks in the future which was okay since it was not an emergency. But he did not show up and Choice had to call and schedule a second appointment which he still did not show up for. The next company missed the first scheduled appointment but and were then scheduled for the next day. The technician did communicate via text message and I greatly appreciated that. He resolved the issue quickly.

Re lady I spoke to today was very polite, prompt and attentive. She entered my claim quickly and sent a confirming email promptly. My claim is for the service cable that comes into my house and into the meter box. The something that covers the cable is completely split open with the wiring exposed. Need it replaced as quickly as possible by a licensed electrician.

The service call was excellent and prompt. But, the contract says it will replace the appliance if it could not be repaired, it didn't say you would get a cash sum. I got only $250. Could not find anything for less than $600. If you prorate things depending on age, this might be fair, but you should state that.

The Warranty company refused to cover a major appliance due in no part to anything I did. The water heater had a major leak in a connection to water heater but since connection could not be replaced due to the age of water heater and everything had to be replaced. In all actuality they don’t cover water heaters. They had no problem taking my money for this coverage but refused to pay.
