The only reason I loved my technician is because I found him myself. Choice Home Warranty supposedly looked for searched for 3 days to have my air looked at and couldn’t find someone to look at it. We called someone and he was there same day. The whole reason I keep a home warranty is to have someone that helps take care of issues. Sends knowledgeable repair people you can trust to fix things. If I have to do all the leg work why have a home warranty. I am really rethinking extending my Choice home warranty.

Technician came out early and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. The technician put the shower head back together and informed us on what issue had occurred. The technician was professional and courteous the entire time. Would highly recommend the technician come out again for problems relating to our issue.

I submitted a claim for a failing pool pump (a rider on my policy). Choice first assigned a repair company that did not show up. Second company was reliable, but Choice refused to reimburse full cost for pool pump, and I was forced to pay substantial difference. When my policy ends, I will switch to another insurance carrier.

If I could give it no stars I would. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had with a business. It took over two weeks and I took off from work to meet a technician that did not show up three days and appointments in a row for someone to look at our ac for repair. Finally on the fourth appointment they showed up and found the compressor to be bad and need replacing. After so much trouble of about 20 phone calls to sort out all the appointments and no-shows, the claim was denied because it was not deemed normal wear and tear. That in itself is ridiculous. How do you abnormally use an air conditioner? It turns on and off.
The technician we used said in over 50 service calls in the past three weeks that Choice denied all but three so we are in the majority of a company that takes advantage of consumers. This company is obviously not in the business of helping people or providing a service. I have submitted a claim through the Better Business Bureau and have written an op-Ed article about the experience for our national news channel and its affiliates. Hopefully if more people are aware of the negligence by this company less people will fall prey to it.

Pass service on work order and assigning someone to fix it. My AC unit was fix within a day and my tenant was happy. I recommend this company, they affordable, low service fees, and the act fast as soon as they received the claim.

I was lied to. I was told that I would be charged over 4 months for a 5 year plan. Checked my account and saw where the full amount was charged. Being a #1 rated company, this is sure disappointing. Hope if the time comes I need your service you do a better job (by being honest).

It was great. The plumber was very knowledgeable. He knew what needed to be done. His name was Steve. He was from Young’s Sewer & Plumbing. He was polite. knowledgeable. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty and Young’s Sewer & Plumbing to anyone. CHW set up the appointment with ease and the plumber arrived on time. He is coming on Friday to do the the job.

The technician whom Choice Home Warranty (CHW) sent to work on my AC knew exactly what needed to be done and did it right. We previously used another well know home warranty company, but they did everything to not do the work. They had contract clause to cover almost all situations to limit their coverage. CHW took care of my concern, in a professional way.

I tried to call and use the website. The answering service did not understand what I was although it says you can talk to it like a person but it only has set responses. I received a phone message that they couldn’t find anyone to fix my stove and offered me the option to hire someone but the guidelines to receive reimbursement was complicated. My stove is still broken, but I can’t get through to talk to anyone. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Your technician was originally scheduled to come between 3 PM and 8 pm. I received a call that morning saying the tech would arrive that morning. No one was available to meet him at that time. Had to reschedule. When he came, the tech reported AC unit was operating normally but air flow was a problem. Filters needed cleaning. This was clearly incorrect. Since I was out of town my son-in-law contacted another repair service which replaced a part, got the unit running, and discovered a bad valve. Initial charge $454.95 to get the unit running and new valve ordered. Additional cost for valve, $725 plus install charge. Very unhappy.

Technician Phap ** of Mighty Oak Air LLC was superb. He was on time, courteous and knowledgeable of his craft. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem with our A/C unit and promptly did the repairs. He also made suggestions on how to use our unit more efficiently. I would highly recommend Phang and his Company.

I had plumbing unclogged. Not only did I have to pay a service fee but I also had to pay nearly a thousand dollars because the required service wasn’t covered. Now I am frightfully waiting to see if my local water company is going to charge me for their services.

The whole reason we switched to Choice Home Warranty was because our last company had terrible customer service. My experience today as a new inquiring customer was definitely not the best customer service experience but not the absolute worst either. I felt like the representative I spoke with was not really listening to me when I expressed the reason I was leaving our previous home warranty company. In the middle of me explaining he interrupted and begin to tell me what I would get with the service which I already knew. I was rushed off the phone and he was on to his next customer. Based on this experience, we will see how the rest of our time is with you all. Right now if I have to give a company score at the beginning, I would give a C based on my first call and experience with you all.

Happy with the price that I locked in. I feel super pushy sales team. Received 8 emails from three different people. Also four phone calls at 0500 in the morning being the earliest. I get it that it is a certain deal happening only right now otherwise it is gone. The salesman was able to lock in a separate deal better than the emails were stating. This means the offers can happen at anytime and does not need be shoved at the client average of four times a day.

As far as the "provider of the service" is concerned I have only one complaint. They did a good job and efficiently replaced the unit. However Choice Home Warranty (CHW) insists that the replacement installation be "brought up to code." Therefore, I was charged $586 - paid to the technician on arrival and ONLY in cash. No credit/debit cards or checks. Interestingly I WAS allowed to pay the $65 first visit charge with a check.
As far as CHW is concerned, this project took 11 days from the initial claim. That's 11 days without hot water mostly because of the convoluted CHW approval process. Additionally, the communication between CHW and myself was poor. Most of the scheduling emails had incorrect service times (The service provider said this is commonplace). It took many phone calls to both CHW and the service provider to get this job done. Once I had an install date from the service provider, CHW then cancelled it saying *they* wanted to provide the hot water heater - then subsequently reversing that decision. This delayed the final install by one day.
On the positive side, the service provider executed the replacement in only 3 hours - amazing considering the unit was in an attic and very difficult to access. The bottom line is that the installation would have cost me close to $1,500 out of pocket without my CHW warranty (although I would have had hot water in a couple of days). I believe that home warranties are worthwhile, however be ready for a major hassle and inconvenience during the process. Also, carefully read the warranty as there are a myriad of things that will add extra out of pocket expense.

SCARM - RIP OFF - DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE- their whole system is fraud. Collect insurance premiums and decline every claim we submitted. Do not waste your money. This insurance company is a scam! Learn it from us.

The repair went very well and the repairman was great. He was polite, helpful and clearly knew what he was doing. On the negative side; I had a very difficult time getting in touch with someone to set up the repair. I received a phone call from someone who wanted to renew my “policy” and he was able to provide me with the way to get help. I was disappointed when I received a repair date that was four days out from the contact time. Apparently CHW was a bit confused because I received an email saying that the appointment had been changed to a more reasonable day. But the job was completed quickly and it is a job well done.

I was with American Home Shield for 5 years and I never had a problem. l should have never left them. My sister was dissatisfied with them not me. The first major problem happened with CHW and l couldn’t get the drain flush. My drain backed up in my basement and Mr. Rooter cleared it but wanted to make sure with the flush. You denied the work, but l know AHS would have because l checked. I know there are pros and cons with both companies but homeowners suffer in the long run.

Your excuse for denying my claim is based on the lack of maintenance by previous homeowners. You are such a rip off!! I canceled my policy since you can use that excuse for any claim. I'm telling everyone and paying negative reviews any where I can. Horrible experience, Waste of money to buy home warranty insurance. I've contacted my friends at ABC and NBC. Your advertising is false. You're scamming people.

Outside outlet wouldn't work. Discovered the problem on Saturday and by Monday morning there was a repairman here to handle it. Repairman attending to the problem was very professional and knowledgeable. Very happy with Choice Home Warranty and Baker electrical service.

First the good: Starting claim was easy, and we had a technician assigned to our case very quickly. Now the bad: People in "customer service" are abysmal. They kept claiming they hadn't heard from the technicians (after having them come out twice) and I watched both techs fill out the online form and send it to CHW. The technicians company told me THREE TIMES that no parts were available for my oven, but no one of CHW would bother reaching out to the repair company. Finally they reassigned the claim to another repair company who went through the same process: Oven broken, no repair parts available.
After WEEKS of being ignored/delayed, the case was finally sent to your Consumer Advocate department, where the claim was quickly resolved. I don't understand why the delay and repetitious responses from your customer service people, and the outright lies that you didn't have the necessary information. Perhaps people just "go away" or get so frustrated they'll take anything that is offered just to make the process stop. Now I'm in a 30 day wait for a check to be mailed out... so my case isn't over yet.

Had experience with similar problems. Obtained the necessary repair part. Advised me on the reason for the problem. Completed the repair successfully and returned the water heater to operation. The technician from Haugstad HVAC was on time, took the time to explain the system and was very thorough. Even after he figured out the problem, he continued to delve deeper to see why it happened and was able to explain the issue.

My experience through the whole process whether I called and put a claim in and did it online. The respond to my request was in a timely matter. The different techs reached out quickly and repaired my issues. My only concern is if the same tech is there to fix more than one problem why do you have to pay more than one service fee? Overall great experience.

I called about my refrigerator, one year after I called last year. Apparently, when I was "cashed out" last year for my refrigerator, I was provided with inaccurate information. The part last year was $45.06, but Choice chose to cash me out instead of fix my appliance. I protested this but that was my only option. I was told I can make a claim again in one year, even with the cash out. What wasn't explained to me was that apparently, I was supposed to pay more for this option. Now my ice maker has broken and Choice is refusing to fix it.

Im pleased with the technician, but not with the Choice service because I have 2 fridges with issues and your program that I am paying for doesn't fix EITHER ONE. As for the tech - He was not able to fix the problem, but he explained what needed to be done before he could return. He was pleasant and gave suggestions for things to do to maintain the home.

Salesperson Albert ** lied in making the sale, said Freon was covered and I called later 6 hrs after and CS told me it was not covered. Call is recorded. Will file FTC complaint for unfair practice. No reason why you have to lie, when I called he would not even talk to me. You are all disappointing.

Having to call for air conditioning that stopped working was stressful to say the least… I was so worried I would be told it needs replacement because of its age… NOPE! The hvac repairman came out.. Found the issue immediately, had the part available on his truck.. Fixed it.. Waited till the AC came back on and running properly.. Couldn’t be happier!! Thank you!! I have had to file claims for my garbage disposal, my dishwasher, my dryer, my washer and my hot water heater. This is my 2nd year having this home warranty. I have had an issue twice with the same repair company so when I see a job assigned to them, I cancel. They came out, accepted my service call fee and then refused to do the work saying CHOICE would not approve it. CHOICE ended up sending another tech and I didn't have to pay again. I can say Choice itself has been pretty good about getting the w/o assigned and approving the repairs. I will remain a CHOICE customer as long as I can.

I said that the hot water tank was making a bubbling sound. He thought there was air in the line coming out at the sink. What he did was lower the temp of the tank and purge the pressure relief valve. It helped some but I am going to ask him to come out again.

The mechanic determined that a electrical part had to be replaced. He said that the part would probably be delivered in three days. Unfortunately, I learned that another mechanic would install the part by July 6th. This would mean that I would not have any way to wash my clothes for a period of about 19 days. Either fix the washer faster or I will pay $200 and provide me with a new 4.5 cu. ft. front-loading washer.

Service provider was AWESOME! He received a bad motor for AC fan and, when contacted, immediately returned and worked until very late in the evening to get the AC up and running. It was the 2nd hottest day this year and we very much appreciated his commitment to getting this right!

Choice Home Warranty has denied my claims twice and I've only made 3 service requests. They deny a claim, you dispute it and they don't even respond to your emails. I had American Home Shield for 10 years and was NEVER denied a claim. Don't sign up with CHW. It's a total waste of money.

1st time used 5 star. The time frame on this repair, double talk by different individuals, and reassignment same company. One month maybe to complete. Repairman this time so far 5 star. It will cost us about $50 in washing when this job is completed. Another 2 weeks?

I called for info after receiving e-mail from Albert ** who couldn't be found. I like continuity so I called back only to reach others, not Albert so I spoke with "Bob" who said he'd be my contact. After fielding and receiving info and questions and negotiating a plan and price, I committed and gave my payment info. Bob said I'd receive policy info by email with particulars which I did but my address spelling was wrong which I wanted corrected so I called back in less than 5 minutes but no one could connect me to or appeared not to know who Bob was so I was put in touch with Toshanna who said if I called for service to customer service, whomever I contact would provide service for me but I did NOT have just one person on a consistent basis.
My concern was why did Bob say that and why nobody could or would connect me to him. I'm already a customer now but this situation bothers me as to the professionalism of the company at the very beginning! Am I to expect further incidence or mistrust altogether? Time will tell. Not a very good first impression for your business.

Hi. I had an account with Choice at my former home and was nothing but completely satisfied. Due to the fact I lost my husband of 51 years I had to sell my home and downsize as I could no longer keep my home. In my new home I wanted Choice again and when I called in I got a salesman to give me a quote. As it turned out I could not afford the three year plan in one lump sum so we decided on 3 installments which would be fine however for whatever reason (I am assuming it is his commission) he got very pushy about it. He kept giving me these "deals" and I kept telling him I could not afford the full amount at this time and he just kept saying use a credit card.
Well since he is not the one paying for it it was very easy for him to say it. Because Choice had always done right by me I really wanted them again and so afraid I might not be given anything I finally said ok and got the full amount at one time. It is sad you have that kind of person working for you because I have ALWAYS had great dealings with your agents before. Thank you. Karen **

I will cancel my First American Policy in the morning, and send a copy of it, cancellation date 7/12/21, to Wayne, so my Choice American Home Warranty can commence then.

Please hire this person for your HVAC needs! He was such a blessing! Our tenants A/C went out. We called home warranty hoping for the best, knowing normally that’s not what you get. We prayed… HE answered. Joseph with Houston HVAC Express (832) 883-7474. He was dispatched and worked all day to get the A/C fixed = SAME DAY! Wow. Here are the tenants text comments when I asked if they treated them well: "A+++. Dude knocked it out of the park! He was working so hard out there so I offered him some pizza and he politely said "I'd rather finish the job" and kept working. Absolute gem. …That's work ethic if I've ever seen it." My unit went out on Saturday and repair man was not dispatched until Monday. It was very hot and uncomfortable. I felt a repair man should have been dispatched sooner. I hope that my next experience is handled in a more timely manner.

Very straightforward and to the point. Did not find the leak on my refrigerator, very disappointed in having to pay the $65.00 service fee. The guy was very polite and really looked for a leak but could not find it.

My garbage disposal was leaking terribly all of a sudden. I called into Choice Home on a Saturday morning. On Monday I was visited by J & L Plumbing who found the non repairable leak. He immediately left and went to get a new garbage disposal. He came back and installed it immediately!! I’m very happy with Choice Home Warranty company and will refer friends.

Choice HOW sent contractor who first said coil needed cleaning. Two hundred dollars later STILL LEAKING. Now they say the unit was installed incorrectly (40 years ago) causing it not to cool properly. Well, it's cooling perfectly. Choice will not take responsibility for their unqualified contractor. I am cancelling my account. I am better off without these clowns.

I had my washer go out suddenly and had to file my first claim. The process was very easy and the response time to schedule the service call was within 24 hours. I thought this was Impressive and the repair person was very helpful.

I called Choice on a whim because our current policy holder has once again increased their service call fees and yearly policy cost to renew. As seniors on a fixed income and advanced age dictates that we have to rely on service providers to service any failed systems and appliances in our home. Choice provided affordable options that our budget could handle. Our contact individual was very cautious, helpful and knowledgeable. We look forward to a long association with Choice.

CHW was negligent when finding a technician to repair our problem. We suffered with the heat a week with no air. I had to call and raise a little ruckus to finally get CHW to follow through. We pay our premium but obviously that doesn’t count. You have our money so why work for us?

The service repair man said that when he get the okay to repair the hot water heater he will fix it. Well he got the okay and said he will call us the next day at 9:30 a.m. He never called us even after we called him twice. Three days without hot water is not fun. Choice Home Warranty should make sure they send someone that is dependable.

First of all it was my understanding that the Deductible was 49 not 75 dollars. Next nothing was fixed and I was told by technician that it could be 2 weeks before repairs are made, now that’s a lot of dirty clothes between now & then.

We called C.H.W. on 6/11/21 for repair to the a/c unit. The technician promised to show up on 6/21/21 but did not do so. I called C.H.W. again on 6/21/21 to report on the non- appearance of the technician. Again I called C.H.W this morning and hoping for some positive feedback. There are 4 children living in the house and it is critical to have a functioning a/c system.. Please help a.s.a.p.

Still no results from claim file back from March of this year. Spoken to two different case manager. The second one made me an offer I accepted, after six week of waiting still no check. I called back to find out my offer was denied with no falling on communication from no one. Still terrible. I already went out and purchase a new dishwasher and still have received my fund.

I called in to have my A/C unit checked. It makes noise when starting up and doesn’t get the temperature down to the stat setting. I was told issue with supply and return ducting. The tech informed me that it was not covered. Not did the tech check the condenser for loud start up.

We have a relatively complicated procedure to receive reimbursement from CHW. There aren't technicians available in our area so we have to obtain our own, pay them, complete other steps and then we are reimbursed. I am pleased to say we've always been reimbursed!

I have run into too many loopholes and every time a claim has been done for my A/C unit, CHW has continued to deny the claim stating they aren't responsible for this, they don't do this. Telling you now this home warranty isn't what it's advertised to be that is for sure. I will be looking elsewhere.

I submitted a Choice Home Warranty request, 06/20/2021, because my home air condition stopped working. An appointment was scheduled immediately for the following day, 06/21/2021. The HVAC Technician from HVACExperts called in advance and came during the scheduled time. He was friendly, respectful, and professional. He diagnosed and fixed the air condition issue within 30mins. This warranty came with the house we bought. My one HVAC unit needed to be replaced. Even the service tech said you would deny that as another house up the road you changed the wording of the technician and gave them a runaround that's still going on. For that reason I'm just buying my own unit.

Impressed with the speed in which Choice Home Warranty responded to us, but disappointed with how long we would have to wait for a repairman - 11 days! Luckily, the washer reset by itself, and 12 hours later, I’m able to use it again. I canceled the repair appointment.

This page tells me to be accurate and Fair. With most other Home Warranty company when you call you receive you pay a deductible online and most of the time that is the only cost you pay. We Choice you pay a deductible and an additional price. So you do not know what you are going to pay. It takes 48 hours for someone to contact you regarding the repair. Most other places 24 hours or less. So in case of an emergency, My Hot water heater, if we did not keep calling, it would have been 72 hours. I have made 2 claims with Choice and both were terrible experience. We told them to cancel after the first experience. They begged us to stay. That was the wrong decision. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

It's unclear whether I'm reviewing the technicians or the warranty company, so I'll start with the techs. They were excellent and did a great job correcting our issue. I will certainly work with them in the future. The home warranty company needs to improve. Took too long for them to locate a contractor to work with. Issue was not corrected for a week. I'm now concerned what might happen if we have an emergency situation. Would not recommend Choice Home Warranty based on this experience.

When I set up for plumbing appointment, it was given 6 days later. No one showed up to fix the problem. Could not reach the plumbing company easily. I called Choice Home Warranty to arrange for a different plumbing company. This appointment was also for 5 days later... this would be almost 2 weeks from the start. I called Kintex plumbing. They gave an early appointment. Came on time and fixed the problems. It was lot of effort including many phone calls to get the work done. It should be easier.

Kenneth ** did a great job. Not only did he fix the leak but he also unclogged the drain. He also demonstrated how to clean the drain in the future. He was very quick, friendly and helpful. I am so happy with the experience. I have used other local plumbers but he by far excelled them in service and communication.

My issue is with Choice Home Warranty. I have a 4 year policy. I put in 3 calls for warranty help in the 3 years. Only one that was accepted was for a garbage disposal. This is completely unacceptable. They find a reason to deny any claim.

When my air conditioner unit stopped working I went to Choice Home Warranty website and answered a few questions. They had a tech at my house two or three days later. It was my thermostat, not the air conditioning unit. We’ll have to see if they’ll pay for the replacement.

The technician who came to look at my issue was fantastic. The experience dealing with Choice Home Warranty to get to the final resolution was terrible. The technician went above and beyond because he too had a hard time dealing with Choice Warranty so the whole experience for me and the technician wasn’t great but the technician was persistent to make sure my issue was resolved.

I had my first issue after 6 months with my CHW. I sent in my claim and I received a phone call back within 30 minutes asking about my situation and telling me they would follow up with an email. I don't know about you but customer service to me is communication via phone. The next morning, I checked my email and I didn't have a technician assigned to the job. I then received an email that I could find my own technician on the reimbursement program. I needed my air fixed in the heat of summer.
I called a few people and they didn't work under Home Warranty repairs. I was getting frustrated and then I cancelled looking for my own and put it back on them to find me a technician. After all, CHW knows who is in their network. I didn't like the fact that if I found a technician, they diagnosed the problem then had to go on the link and put it in the system then wait around for an approval of reimbursement. Who has time for that? It's already HOT in the house. Well, I got lucky and found a company actually in their network and called them and after 20 minutes plus get everything set up. I did the foot work and still took a long time to get processed. I called True Temp and Kevin Weber was my angel. He was out within an hour on this own and fixed me up in < 10 minutes. He explained everything and I was so grateful to him and his team. I sent him 3 recommendations and those customers were 100% satisfied too.

Some repair work was done (a part was changed) but A/C is not working properly- it is still hot here (81) after over 5 hours of cooling. Technician should check temperature at vent to know that real cooling is occurring.

It is partly my fault that I did not understand that my AC had to be out for 24 hours before I would be serviced. I will be 92 as of tomorrow. I am diabetic, have Asthma, and am very fortunate to have had a daughter living nearby to come and get me and my 13 year old cat and transport us to her home. I was already having signs of heat created stress when she arrived. The following day when I was advised an expert in AC and heating would be arriving to fix my AC, just 15 minutes inside that oven hot house waiting for him caused breathing problems. Thank God this good man arrived exactly when he said he would and very quickly fixed the problem. I would not advise anyone to buy Choice Home warranty unless they are absolutely sure they have a safe place to go in an AC car during extreme, deadly heat wave with temperatures soaring well above 100 degrees regardless of your age.
I have written down the name of the great, reliable company they sent after my 24 hour waiting time was over, and I will call on that company should I ever have another problem. Paying them for service would be far more sensible than paying a warranty co with restrictions of that sort. I learned a valuable lesson this time which will make me absolutely certain of exactly what I am buying. Yes Choice Home Warrany sent a reliable repairman after the 24 hour wait took place, but in such extreme heat I could possibly have died in my home if my family had not been available to assist me. Know for sure exactly what all the conditions are before you buy.

I don't understand why Choice cannot mail us a copy of our Contract. When I went online to review our Contract, Page One is an envelope addressed to us with the notation "Contract enclosed". I was informed that you do not use the mail service any longer and ALL contracts are via e-mail. I do not have a printer, so how can I get a copy of MY Contract if you don't mail anymore? Page ONE should be removed from the Contract information and a phone call would have been eliminated. Thank You.

Jared ** was my salesman. He argued with me, spoke over me, would not listen to my requests. He hung up on me when I refused an up-sell. He called back and tried again, and hung up on me again when I told him to delete my information and not charge me for this plan. I tried to call back, he answered the phone trying to disguise his voice and called himself Gary. When I asked for Jared, he transferred me to voicemail. Absolutely absurd and unprofessional. I said to delete my information and not charge me - he did anyway. This charge is fraudulent. Review the recordings and make this right. Contact me via email, do not call.

Your response was fast to pay some $ for a replacement, but it could take up to 30 days before receipt plus limited to Lowe's only. It didn't have in store the replacement, but Home Depot did, which the e-card would not apply.

I was having a problem with a toilet. My local plumbing company checked and said it was the sump pump. I then called Choice Warranty and they sent someone to check it out. The technician was courteous and very knowledgeable. After he got permission to replace it he went back to his business and got a new one and installed it. He answered all of my questions easily. Pertaining to service work for Duct Work. Already had annual maintenance service and HVAC tech recommended the ducts be service due to insufficient flow. Work order sent Air Conditioner tech to check the system. Condenser had gone bad. I asked for Duct Work and got AC tech. I finally was contacted by CHW for the Ductwork yesterday. So, lack of communication with CHW with another problem found a new one.

We submitted a claim with Choice Home Warranty on 6/9/2021. We live in Texas and unfortunately our air conditioning was not cooling properly. On 6/11 the warranty company sent out a technician who determined the zone controller was malfunctioning. He indicated he would submit the findings to the warranty company and would call us when approved to get the repairs completed. We received an email on 6/14 that they were denying the claim under a specific exclusion. We submitted a rebuttal assuming the person that denied it wasn’t clear on what the part was. The policy does specifically exclude dampers (which we understand) however nowhere in the policy does it exclude zone controllers.
After the rebuttal was submitted we continued to call the company for an update. We were directed to schedule a time to talk with someone, the soonest time was multiple days later. After that we received ONE phone call. Of course because of their over advertising issues, the iPhone has that number marked for potential spam. The call went straight to voicemail. Fritz left us a voicemail and failed to leave his extension. (At this point, I’m sure that was intentional.) When we called back the number, literally 20 seconds after the missed call, the phone system ended the call because we didn’t have the extension. We later received an email from Fritz which we’ve responded to.
We have also left four messages and talked to two customer service representatives. The customer service representatives said that department is “practically the executives” of the company and they have NO WAY to contact them. I asked if he could attempt to call them, he said no. I asked if he could email them, he said no. It is now 6/21 and we have yet to speak to Fritz. There has been zero resolution on our claim. And our air conditioning is still not fixed. Do not waste your money on this company. I would highly recommend reading their Better Business Bureau reviews.

Poor service. Was no help at all. We had to handle ourselves because their office was closed. We tried to call and only got an answering service and got no one assigned to us to handle our problem. Tried to email to get prior approval to get reimbursement. Still got no response.

Service was very prompt and much appreciated because our AC was out and it was 85 degrees in the house. Repairman came in 3hrs from call and had fresh cool air blowing within 30 minutes from arrival time. He was very polite.

Our first request for repair was placed on May 28th, by June 18th, we had 3 service techs turn in estimates for our repair. CHW wanted to send out a 4th service tech. Aggravating! I feel like we got the run around simply because the advice of the service techs was not what the company wanted to hear or pay for. We called our own company - who had same recommendation and are requesting our $ back from CHW.

They chose top notch contractor to do the job. The company they hired has a very high rating on Google and Yelp. So glad they work with quality contractors which is not the case with other home warranty companies. So glad I have Choice home warranty!

The salesperson made my whole experience very easy. He was very knowledgeable and worked very hard at getting me an agreeable rate. I've had to have an electrician come out twice, change plug in kitchen and a change plug in breaker box. Different issues but was able to have same company and technician. I liked that so at least the tech was familiar with property.

Sent first ac repair team, and they were strung out. Didn't fix anything, didn't add freon. Second AC repair team was great, however CHW, will not cover part under warranty. So far CHW has been a nightmare, and customer service is horrible.

I submitted a claim for my A/C unit going out. The claim was submitted on Thursday morning and I received an appointment notification Thursday afternoon. The only thing that I was a bit concerned about was that the appointment for Saturday 3-6PM. I was worried with a baby at home to have to wait so long. I contacted the vendor directly and Jose was able to put my ticket as a priority on the same day. He made sure that he squeezed me in at the end of his appointments. I am so thankful to Mr. ** as my AC was back up that same night. His customer service was amazing and his sense of urgency for his customers was impressive. Thank you to Jose at the Vendor's.

I was very surprised to see how hard it was to find an AC service that was willing to accept the work when they found out it was with Choice Home Warranty. I called several Heating and Air providers and none of them will do work for Choice Home and/or the other home warranty firms. Many of them indicated that they would diagnose the problem only to be told they could not perform the necessary work. This has really opened our eyes to extended home warranties. We were lucky that a provider 35+ miles away was willing to make the hour long drive on a Friday afternoon. They initially took the assignment but later emailed when they saw it was out of the normal area. We called and offered to pay an emergency fee to take the job and fix the AC. We still fear what happens if no one wants to pick up the order to make the repairs? It was unfortunately one of the hottest weeks in a while so that didn't help matters.

My ac unit went out and Choice Home Warranty would NOT cover any part of the cost. $6k out of my own pocket. My recommendation is stay the hell away. They take your money and will NOT pay you a damn thing.

The technician was knowledgeable, kind and fast. The AC was up and running in less than 20 minutes. He talked through the solution and a plan of prevention for future break downs. He also provided very reasonable estimates to replace my units in the future if need be.

We have been without AC for over 3 weeks, What it all boils down to is that Choice received only part of the problem diagnosis from the service technician due to limitations in the Choice reporting system as he could not enter a 2nd potential problem. We have submitted a detailed email to the Case Manager and still have not received a response.

We are definitely fans of Choice Home Warranty. Our AC unit was not cooling. It happened late Thursday night. I immediately went online to file a claim (easy process) and a technician was here on Saturday morning. He fixed the problem in 30 min and all we paid was the service fee. Very pleased.

I filed my claim on Jun 7, 2021, my appointment was scheduled on Jun 8th. Your CHW technician finally received approval to refilled it with refrigerant. He checked the A/C unit and was unable to locate the leak. I mention to your technician that there must have been a leak if the refrigerant was low. On Jun 9th, I received an email advising that my Case Manager was Ms. Kerren ** and she asked me to call her at ext 4706. I tried several times. 11:19am (EST), and 3:04pm (EST), each time I left voice messages.
At 12:38pm (EST) I followed up with an email on Jun 15th, I received a call from Case Manager John **. I explained to ** that I had all of my A/C split units in my home serviced and my technician had found the leak and recommended that the evaporator coil be replaced. ** requested and on Jun 15th I forwarded a copy of my invoice with recommendations from my service technician. Both Case Managers said they will call me and as of Jun 20th, I have not heard from ** or ** and wish somebody would call me to resolve this claim. I have already paid the $65 service fee.

I emailed or sent a message to get my ac looked at for an earlier date. They scheduled it for June 20th on Father's Day. We reported on the 10th of June. I wanted it sooner. Nobody emailed me back or called. On top of that the number that was giving to me to call the guy to come fix my AC never answered the call and never came over. No text was sent. Nothing. So here we are with the ac still not running well. I'm very disappointed. If I was late on a payment you people would be calling for that **. I'm paying for service and I got nothing.

My AC unit is approximately 20 years old according to the information on the units and the technician that came out. And it’s time for a replacement. They usually last 10-15 years. They have denied the claim to replace the one that’s out saying it’s not due to normal wear and tear. Just anything to not cover the expenses. The woman at the customer service was super rude and unprofessional. Before you decide to go with this company Please check the BBB site and check out the lawsuits against them.

First time contacted CH about a plumbing issue, tried to sent a nonlicense plumber. Call and was told someone else will contact me. Never did, hired a plumber myself. This year air conditioner not working properly, contacted CHW. First contractor did show after confirming appointment, wouldn’t return calls. Contacted CHW again, another week of calling. Again contractor no show.
Received email of another contractor would called. He arrived late evening, checked my system and told us that he would contact CHW. No document of his findings. Received another email that the same contractor was coming back, when contacted contractor, he stated we were not on his schedule. Again, contacted CHW, Akeem was horrible, rude and I decided to cancel this contract. I was told that I would be change for a full month and a cancellation fee. I disagree since I just renewed the contract a week ago. All the issues I experienced I had to cancel. Very disappointed with this business.

Repairmen were great and very timely. The administrative part can be a little more compassionate. Information provided to us by phone was not entirely accurate. Email information gave us the information we needed. Glad to have it repaired as temperatures were close to 120 degrees.

Filed 2 covid delayed claims and was scheduled with technician visits within 8 days. At eighty dollars for each, I bear no grievance. I will be writing a more comprehensive review after the needed repairs are completed. I love the level of service but the survey requirements are ridiculousness.

Choice Home warranty decision to replace my dishwasher offer barely covered half of the replacement of the unit and the homeowners have to pay for the rest, like delivery, installation and removal of the old unit. I took out a plan with Choice warranty for 3 years. They gave me a great deal. I have peace of mind. I've used it a few times already. The plumber that I had recently was excellent. I had a leak under the sink fixed it in 15 minutes without the door. So far great company!

Updated on 06/23/2021: I have been with Choice for the past year. But when I lost my AC 10 days ago. I kept calling and writing to get some help. The technician said it was Choice dragging their feet and not getting the part ordered that I need. We live in Florida so no AC. Is unbearable. My husband is 88 and I am 82. No one is trying to get this matter taken care of. Please help me find some help..
Original Review: I called them on 6/11 to tell them that I have no air. They sent a technician here 3 days later. He told me we needed a compressed or something like that. And they order it and tell him when to get it and do my repair. He told me it could be 2 or 3 weeks before it gets done. We are in our late 80 and find it unbearable here in Florida. The technician checked the split temperature to start. Removed all covers of the air distribution system to inspect the wires and drain system, and float valves. Checked the thermostat inside the house for proper wiring polarity with the humidity control knob. Discovered a dysfunctional float adjustment that had made the system composite shut down. Readjusted. Then insisted the compressor removed covers. Very complete service. Great repairman.

Technician said it was not repairable. He said GE no longer had parts for the machine so it could not be made operation any longer. I had to go out and replace it. I was very pleased with the use I got out of the GE and replaced it with another GE. I hope it will dive me the usage I got from my original GE. My experience with Choice has been very positive and I would recommend them without question.

I had an electrical problem and called for a service call. After about two weeks I had not heard anything so I got my own electrician to do the work. Now I am filing for a refund for his work because he was not one of the Choice Home Warranty authorized partner. I have talked with a person at CHW and got good answers, so I hope all goes well.

Took too long to get appointment. Then was canceled at last minute with another protracted waiting period. Finally got a technician to look at the refrigerator who diagnosed the problem. Technician reported the results and was told the claim denied due to a recall. We were never contacted by a “person”. We had to do our own research to figure out why the claim was being denied. This could have been handled much better. Your customer service lacks integrity. We will be looking for a better company!

Being accurate and fair! First off Gus our contact person told us that we would get a copy of the contract after we signed on with him! So, after trying to listen intently as there is a strong accent, and he wanted to then move from a one year to a three year. We decided to go with the 1yr until we go over the contract. When I had questions, I had to call three time before I could get an answer and then he seemed irritated and told me, "You can cancel anytime and get full refund!" So, at this time we can't give a good review. At first he seemed friendly but it sure changed.

From the time of the claim to the date of repair it took 5 days. The repairman was in and out of here in 20 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and I would definitely consider him again for repairs. However, I live in a state that gets extremely cold in the winter here. So if my furnace should go out, I would need a repairman the same day as the claim. I was told when I bought this service that all I had to do was call and you would handle my issues within 24 hours.

Nick said he will arrive in 30 minutes and he did. I don't wear shoes in the house but I didn't tell him to take off his shoes but when he saw shoes lined up at the entrance, he took off his shoes! Wow! Thanks Nick! The previous stupid plumber used a permanent sealer on the mount so Nick had a hard time removing it but after many attempts, he was able to remove it. He was a super efficient and a caring guy. He was cleaning under the sink while he was removing and installing the garbage disposal. He cared. I really think he went over and beyond for me. I will definitely hire him again.

Filing a claim for a broken ac system, twice in less than a month. The claims filing process is simple and efficient. The voice promp system works exceptionally well. I'd highly recommend Choice warranty to anyone. Recommend expanding your network and add more providers for major systems. Sometimes the delay in getting an appointment can be days before a fix can be made.

The person I spoke with was hard to understand. I am not sure what is covered on my plan. The policy is confusing. Seems that the septic system does not cover leaching lines and I have a leaching type system so paying to cover septic system is worthless.

Easy on-line claim start. In just a few hours of opening a claim, received email with provider named and an appointment within two days. Just to ensure you get the full jist, it's 116 degrees outside and my issue was HVAC. You can just imagine how busy HVAC companies are in this heat. Had to place two follow up phone calls and never held on more than three minutes before I had a live person to speak with. I have been with Choice for almost six months and have two claims. Both were handled in the same professional and expeditious manner.
