I submitted a claim with everything being properly maintained and everything that needed to be fixed was denied. Very disappointed and will tell all my friends and family to drop your service as well. Simply inexcusable with a home that is 90 degrees inside with 2 small children. Thank you for nothing, but I now know better.

Can not say enough about how pleased I am to have chosen Choice Home Warranty. I place my first call in the evening and receive a text saying they were working on my appt. Next morning I received a text with the company and a scheduled time for them to come. Brian the repairman keep in touch and arrived on time. He was friendly, professional, and quickly fixes my problem. The only hiccup was the the co-pay ad he corrected it quickly and without question.

I had a claim for a dishwasher (claim # **). The technician reported that it is less expensive to get a new one than to repair the current one. I received an email from CHW indicating that they will pay us $246 to get a new dishwasher. Even though there is NO new dishwasher for that price, we accepted the offer. The surprising thing was that CHW decided to go green and stopped sending checks for the amounts we agreed about. Instead they will send something in the email as a credit at Lowe's Home Improvement to get the new dishwasher and we will receive that credit within 30 days. CHW made it much harder to get the broken appliance replaced for the following reasons:
* Now we have to wait until we get the voucher to use it. I can't imagine if we are dealing with buying a refrigerator or HVAC. How can anyone wait 30 days without fridge or HVAC.
* We have to buy from Lowe's even if we find a better price somewhere else.
Why did you make it harder on us? Please cancel the "Go Green" decision. Thanks,.

Ease in setting up the claim, and so far, it also sounds good that a quick response from a contractor is forthcoming within a time frame of six hours. This is a heavy month for air conditioning emergencies so it's good to know about the quick turn around service.

The technicians were very nice but they did not fix the problem. It is still leaking. We have had this problem for over a month now. The first people you scheduled never showed up two times and could not be reached. Now the Sears technicians from A & E Factory said they diagnosed and fixed the problem but it still leaks. Can you please have a Customer Service rep call me. Thank you.

Diem Plumbing did a great job fixing our sump pump! Quick and knowledgeable! The plumber was recommended quickly, and he came quickly. He also help us understand what had happened to our sump pump causing the failure. We highly recommend Diem Plumbing and all their services through Our Choice Home Warranty.

Parts have been difficult to get for dishwasher. It's been a month of hand washing all dishes and the part has still not been send. Choice Home Warranty is doing everything they can to resolve the issue. But, in the end, my dishwasher is not fixed. I have been happy with the techs that come out. My washing machine is being replaced since it was more cost effective to buy a new one. I am happy about that. Overall, I have been happy with my experience with Choice Home Warranty.

I was having electrical issues with my home & hired a guy I know who was a certified electrician. I called on him a few times for small jobs. He wasn't dependable as time went on. He yelled & gave me major attitude about an unfinished job. I waited a few days messaged him, left voicemails, but he refused to answer etc. I was DONE! I happened to be going thru some files online & saw that I had a warranty contract with CHW which I TOTALLY forgot about that would soon expire. I called them to file a claim & was offered the chance to renew at a decent price which I did.
I was emailed the name of a company named Philip Michael LLC, along with a date, appointment & time. The date was way too far out for me so I called to reschedule with Philip Michael & informed CHW as well. The weather was challenging so there was another rescheduling. Philip Michael is a professional! He came loaded & ready to work! He even came with a mask as requested due to having a patient with a compromised immune system on the premises. All the issues that I listed he checked diligently & thoroughly! Fuse box, outlets, light switches, crossed wires, he covered, fixed & repaired EVERYTHING!! I was absolutely blown away. I am PLEASED & HIGHLY recommend him. I will DEFINITELY use him again!!

Plumber showed up, but indicated he had to get your approval to do the job. I thought you approved the work when the plumber was assigned. I now have to wait another week to get the job done. Good thing it isn't an emergency.

Home warranties have a bad rap. Choice Home Warranty has been great. Every time we needed them we got a service appointment almost immediately. It’s a great comfort to know everything is covered. I highly recommend them. I also purchased a contract for my son when he bought his first home. It makes a great housewarming gift.

We had an AC issue that was fixed with no problems at all. Great contractor and great service. However, we have a plumbing issue that has already had a contractor come out once and now the same problem has started again. We are now going on 2 weeks since we filed the claim with no contractor. We are also having contractors tell us that they will not work with home warranty companies because they are difficult and do not want to pay for proper repairs. We will have to wait and see how this claim goes.

Filed a claim because our A/C stopped working around 5:30 PM and around 7:30AM I received an email from Choice that they were having trouble locating someone to come to the house and I could get my own technician and be reimbursed. After I was able to get my A/C guy to come out Choice said they would have to approve the repairs and made it clear that the A/C company may have to come back the next day for an additional service fee at my expense and wouldn't be covered. They were VERY difficult to work with and I finally had to call them and keep them on the phone until they approved the repairs. They made me feel like I was trying to take advantage of them and showed no trust in me at all.
Fortunately, they stayed on the phone with me and approved the repairs after the A/C guy turned in all information about the repairs that were needed. I'm not sure what we would have done if they hadn't stayed on the line with me. The A/C repairman told me he couldn't make it back until Tuesday. FIVE days after he initially showed up. I am hopeful that if I have any more claims that they go better than the first one. If they don't have technicians to do the work, then they need to change how they reimburse you if you have to do their job. We will now have to wait up to 30 days to be reimbursed.
It's too hot in July in Oklahoma to do without A/C and we had small children in the house. Was able to get the A/C repaired but with little help from Choice. The repair man has serviced out Heat and A/C units at our other house for years and we have become friends. Thank you Mack for coming to the rescue. I am very satisfied with the A/C repairman, not so much with choice home warranty.

Would not recommend to anyone, most common pieces to fail on all your appliances will not be covered, workers they hire will attempt to start work before even checking to make sure you are covered, go somewhere else and save yourself the hassle.

The technician appeared to have expertise, diagnosed the problem promptly with his instruments from outside unit. Proceeded up to the attic and directly found the problem, promptly had the air conditioning cooling proficiently again. Repairman was professional and got the job done without incident.

When Jake discovered that my water leak was not a simple problem to fix, and required part of my ceiling to be cut out; suddenly it was not covered under my warranty! Very dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty and am telling friends that it's been a waste of money. I'm going thru my USAA insurance to get my ceiling leak fixed. Plumber sent was very nice, but unable to fix the complex leak and Choice would not cover the plumbing company in my area who does handle this type of leak!! Again, sorry I ever bought this warranty!!!

Shower was leaking and seeping through kitchen ceiling. Technician said it was an easy fix (cartridge). When the company called Choice they were told to order the part through Delta since it had warranty, but that was going to take 10-12 days to be shipped. I offer to buy it and get reimbursed but you guys said no to a $40 purchase and suggested waiting 12 days to get it fixed. Unacceptable!!! NOT RENEWING WITH CHOICE.

We filed a claim when our a/c unit started buzzing (every two minutes or so). We received an email within the hour that provided our technician's name and phone number, along with the the timeframe for when he’d be arriving (between 3-8pm the following day). He called the next day, arrived shortly after 3pm, resolved the issue within minutes, and the a/c was working great again. He was very professional and we have already, and will continue to highly recommend him and Choice to others.

The technician that came was wonderful. He advised me as to what was wrong with my dishwasher. When he was told he wouldn’t be fixing it he did give me suggestions on brands to replace it. He said to call Jeannie’s if I had any problems. The only problems I am currently having is no dishwasher and CHW not dealing with it in a timely manner.

My microwave was deemed non fixable so Choice is sending me the bare minimum to replace it. I will have to pay out of pocket to have other taken out and new one installed so very upset about it. Choice should look at the cost of something when making decisions and also realize there is more to it than just the actual appliance itself.

My air conditioner was not working properly. I called them. They give next day appointment to technician to come out and fix it. Technician came next day between the time frame they gave me and fix it. I love that kind quick response. I would recommend to some of my family and friends.

I made a claim for an AC repair. The response by Choice Home Warranty was quick, and the AC Company response was fast. I was only out of AC service for a few days. The AC company was excellent. The repair, however, was denied as a covered repair. Not good. Why was a repair not covered when the repair is essential to the operation of the system? I won't be recommending Choice Home Warranty to others.

Air conditioner unit break. Called and technician was here in 2 days. He assessed the problem. Fixed problem and said to call if anything else happened. Next day stopped working and he was back in 2 days. So far so good. Only bad thing is after he came, my yearly payment amount went up, and so did my service fee. Raised from $75 to $85. First time ever used.

He was very accommodating when we had to change the time given to us by Choice because of a schedule conflict. He came out at the agreed time, calling beforehand to let us know he was on his way. This is the first whole home warranty I’ve ever had. This is my first experience using it. Getting service was a bit long, but that was not the fault of the Warranty company. The service technician was very nice, professional, and accommodating. He explained everything he was doing and all the options for repair. I would gladly recommend Choice Warranty and A&E repair service for any problem.

The gentleman that came to service my dishwasher said the last company that tried to fix it left parts inside the door. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm hopeful that it works. I bought and paid in full for 3 service contracts along with my brother who also paid in full for three contacts. When my elderly father needed you most he was forced to spend over $1200 for an A/C repair during a dangerous heatwave that he waited nearly a week to get a service call. I bought these multiple contacts so he would have no worries in case of an emergency, especially since I'm often away and not around to assist him. To finally get the service technician, who was excellent, who came nearly a week after my initial call, to tell my poor sickly father, "Sorry you're not covered," was sickening to us both. My poor elderly father on a very limited income was forced to shell out over $1200. I didn't get a call or anything from the company.
I thought you would stand by your word of being the best with no worries, especially for elderly people in their time of need. I was taken for a fool and will be canceling my policies, all 3 paid in full policies, when I return to the states. I'm expecting a call from management to help resolve this issue so I can put this terrible incident to rest. I can be reached anytime.

Offered $191.00 and accepted. No other option. See my costs, purchase of exact replacement microwave, $291.00, to install $175.00, shipping $46.00, visit of workman $75.00. The total is $587.00. I am have no idea of being made whole, but this is wild. I believe this is the first claim, but I could be mistaken. I'm 89 years old and I may forget at times.

I made a claim on my dishwasher and Choice Warranty was very prompt and send a service person to take a look, they weren't able to fix it but did replace my dishwasher with a new one. I have been with this company for four years and they are very prompt with claims. I would definitely recommend them as I am a very satisfied customer.

We had a very good experience with this company. The team of women who coordinate the technicians were super organized, responsive and friendly. Unlike other Choice contractors in the area, this was a professional team supporting the technicians. The technician, Vincent, did fantastic work.

I switched my home warranty from AHS to CHW last year because of their rating and cost saving options but I am really disappointed and mad at myself for my decision. We have 2 AC unit, one of our AC was not cooling enough and we filed a claim on 6-3-21. CHW assigned Premier Comfort Heating. We paid $ 75 service charges and Technician reported them the AC is low on refrigerant and is a leak due to normal wear and tear. Our claim denied stating Normal wear and tear not covered.
Unfortunately the 2nd unit started making loud noises at the same time. We filed claim on 6-16-21. CHW assigned 4 seasons Air and Control - the Technician arrived 6-17-21 - the most un-professional and the most incompetent Technician ever came across- if to pay his service charge $ 75 through CC, we will have to pay $ 5 more, paid $ 75 by check. He did not open the lid to diagnose the noise, he just used a Rod and tried rotating the blades and took some pictures from outside the cage & that's all he did and he left to submit his report later.
Around 5pm we received an email stating our claim is denied because the unit is low on refrigerant, leakage, failure of the compressor and condenser fan motor while there was nothing indicated of the real problem. We had worked with Cool operator cooling system before and called them to diagnose the problem. The Technician Chris came in and he open up the lid and the problem was the blades that was detached from the hub and he didn't find any other issues as was noted by CHW. We filed the appeal with CHW on 6-17-21 to review the case. I wanted to send the 2nd opinion report along with my appeal but there is no option that I could send.
We did not hear anything from CHW until 6-22-21 and I sent them a reminder but no response from them. It was 90° temperature in Chicago and with some health issues with us (we are senior citizens) we just asked Cool operator to replace the blades. Cool operator services /management is really wonderful and understanding. They replaced the blades out charging Labor charges because of whatever happened to us.
Next day on 6-23-21 received a call from case Manager Andre ** while I was not in a position to talk due to some emergency situation at that time. I told him that the AC is fixed and if we can schedule a time to discuss on this issue. After that he never called and upon multiple reminders via phone and messages, he responded, we should have taken pre-approval to use independent vendor to fix the AC and they will not reimburse regardless what the situation was. This is totally a disappointing and nerve breaking experience. They are robbing innocent people with their deceiving practices. A picture of the problem that was to be fixed. I can send a copy of the report if required to proof my complaint.

The service and price appear to be great. The only reason I gave a rating of four is because I was told the service fees would be $85.00, but I received an email from you that said the service fees are $75.00, originally $85.00 save 11%. It seems like this company just liked to disapprove repairs. The only saving grace is some of the technicians are good. I am so tired of shelling out 45 only to have my claim denied. There’s a 1% chance that I will stay with this company once my contract is up. I would not recommend this company to anyone. It seems also when I switched over everything was good - it’s like a honeymoon period. Now nothing gets approved.

Sending a request online was not that hard. The request was answered in a timely manner, and the customer service clerk was polite and helpful. He was able to answer all my questions and I got scheduled the following day. I will put a 5 star if they fix my problem.

My only complaint is the speed of which a repairman was assigned and the length of anticipated wait until the scheduled repair. I reported the a/c broken on 6/30 and repair was scheduled for 7/6 In Texas heat that is unacceptable. Luckily the technician saw the need to attempt the repair at an era ruler date 7/1. I was very thankful for his promptness.

We thought that our washing machine was not working properly, so CHOICE immediately dispatched a repair company to investigate the issue, however, before the repair company arrived on the repair date, my wife and I got the washer to work properly and CHOICE canceled the repair order and all well now. Thanks to CHOICE for acting quickly to respond to my wife stress and thanks to CHOICE to stop the order when we realized that we did not need the attention.

One of the most polite and professional repair person that I have met in years. Jose was great. Had a cancellation and called for permission to come that night instead of the next day. Was so elated. However, I had several issues with Choice customer service. I spoke with four people before getting a working claim number. I was disconnected from one gentleman who DID NOT call me back. It turned out a new claim and not a recall. I was told already that if it turned out to be a new issue what would be expected. Claim number was the previous one and did not work of course for the vendor because it was closed. Later call got a new claim number but was after phone calls to vendor that it was resolved.

I had to wait for 3 days and call 3 times before you got someone to come here. Then you refuse to pay for the service. You said because the pope was rusted. I am 80 years old and could not crawl behind the sink in the garage to know that I am responsible for keeping the pipe from rusting. The plumber was very nice and fixed it for me but I had to pay him.

I got signed my technician within hours and even a same day appointment. I had to reschedule with contractor but the contractor was very quick! I just switched over from a home warranty company with bad service, so I’m glad I made the choice to go with Choice!!

Air conditioning failed at 10pm and we had a tech at our home the next day at 3:11pm. Issue resolved within 24 hours. To lose air conditioning in the summer is the worse with small children. Thank you Choice Warranty for the timely response and Sparkle Air for the high quality work!

It took 13 days to get a resolution about a broken tankless water heater that was covered by Choice warranty. Despite numerous calls and being held on hold and numerous email messages I continued to be told they were looking in to the issue looking for parts for a unit that is obsolete and no longer made. If not for my persistence there would have been no coverage at all.

I called for the first time as my garage door opener broke. I thought you will fix it immediately. I am surprised that I got the appointment on Monday 5th July after 4 days. I need to get it fixed now as my cars are stuck in the garage. I will give you zero out of 10. Very bad service.

Extremely slow to schedule appointment. The repairman who came did an excellent job of doing a temporary fix. The job requires replacing parts which Choice Home Warranty would not approve. One faucet is falling off. Because new parts weren’t installed, the whole mechanism will break and the water will cascade out of the spigot. Don’t waste your money on this coverage.

Same Day Garage Door Service is the company that came, they were very good. The young man fixed the door, but I did have a little trouble communicating with him, his English was limited.

AC wasn't working properly, a technician picked up the claim, paid copay, claimed to fix it, added coolant, still didn't work, called Choice. Sent out new technician, claimed it was a bad part that wasn't really bad, claimed to fix it, still didn't work, called Choice. Sent tech again. This time he said it was a different problem. From age. Choice denied the claim. Had to pay tech for the job. AC worked for a day and then didn't work. Called Choice. Sent another tech, different company, said our system was 15 yrs old. Needed new system, outlasted it time. Told Choice the diagnosis, denied the claim. Said it was never fixed in the first place. Sent in receipt to show we did all repairs, still rejected claim. Did not care. Since then had 2 more claims for different systems rejected!! They tap dance around issues then reject claims!! I am so frustrated. Working with a septic claim right now. Rejected it even though I'm covered for pumping!!!

Choice Home Warranty provided a claim number with my initial call. I had the option of them assigning a company to service our unit or handling the repair with a company we chose and getting reimbursed. We had CHW handle and were very pleased with the company they provided.

Was very pleased with Michael of Michael's Repair, would highly recommend him, not so much Choice warranty for taking all weekend to get someone to do the job. If it was not for Michael I would have very possibly cancel my service with choice, if this had been my ac and it was in the 90's I would have canceled for sure, need to take care of your customers even on the weekends.

Anytime Home Services sent their technician, Kevin, out to my house to repair a leaky faucet. I've had the pleasure and good fortune of having Kevin visit my property in the past for another plumbing repair. Kevin is friendly, courteous, and most importantly, knows his stuff. Easy to make a claim, fair cost, monthly payments, fast response from Choice Warranty. If job can’t be done by contractor your copay get waiver for the second one, but need contractors with faster availability and provide detailed information to contractors so they be better prepared for the job needed.

Technician came over two weeks ago, explained that the part would be hard to find. Now they called back and said it would be almost another week. We bought ice for two weeks to keep from losing it all, why didn't they just condemn it if we going to wait month, we could have bought another one.

I did service call once, man didn't want to pay. Made up stories to get out of payment. Never asked if I was a licensed technician. Policy dictates that only licensed technician allowed to work especially if item was leased. He asked me to do service with no license, cancelled then asked me to do same job next day and still tried to make same claim.

My dishwasher stopped running. Technician reported that the mother board was shot. Machine was too old to repair since part was not available. CHW offered $246 to replace. You can't buy anything for that amount. I found the amt. unacceptable. Felt that they should have offered what the cost to repair would have been if part was available. They refused.

Recently I've needed repairs on a tub leak, washer, and the AC. Their competent local contractors came and did the work promptly. Sometimes their phone rings forever, tho, so be patient. They ask for reviews of service and the link expires quickly, so hard to do. Also wish they allowed two emails for contacts, like maybe a rental manager as well as myself. Otherwise, not bad service.

DO NOT PURCHASE A HOME WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY! We had a main drain plumbing leak inside the walls, which Choice authorized a plumber to access to find the leak. After the leak was identified, they denied the claim to fix the leak as it wasn't in the policy (No problem and understand). So the issue arises as Choice refuses to pay for the drywall removals and access they approved for the plumber to access the leak? So now I'm down the money for the drywall repairs (CHOICE authorized, not me), the actual plumbing issue, the service fee, and the ridiculous money spent on the CHOICE WARRANTY TOTAL annual package.

Salesman said policy would remain the same, but when reading it online I see they increased the fee for service. It was never discussed that there would be a higher service fee. Trying to get through on phone was not easily accomplished.

Motor seized up. Had my own repair company come and look at it because CHW did not have anyone in the area for a few days out. He gave a reasonable estimate to fix it and CHW denied the claim. They said it was because we did not keep it in good condition which was a lie. They made this decision based on one picture. This company will gladly take your money every month but will find the smallest reason not to cover something. Waste of money. I will put my 60 a month in savings and pay for home repairs myself. Very dissatisfied.

After over 30 hours trying to get a contractor scheduled, I used the Claims Reimbursement process. And now they are wanting to refuse my claim even though the contractor I hire submitted all request paperwork. I feel that asking someone to go without Hot water for that long is very excessive and then to refuse my claim is wrong.

This started out to be a pretty good experience but went down hill quickly. The technician that came out was very good and professional. The decision to replace the dryer didn't take long and they sent us a quote for what CHW was going to give us. You couldn't even buy a cheap dryer for the money they gave us. Then they will give you Lowe's EGift cards so you click the accept payment button and then you get a confirmation note telling you to look for an email with the cards in about 30 days... Been nice if that would have been known before clicking the accept button. So now it's a trip to a laundromat to dry clothes. If this is how it works for everything We won't be renewing this policy.

Prompt followup by plumber when I posted an online request of not having hot water. Paid service fee that was listed in my plan-85$. I paid 321$ for a replacement water heater. It is very unfair that Choice Home Warranty denied our claim; our HVAC needs repair and my husband and I are elderly and he’s sickly. Choice denied my request for my system to be further checked to determine where the leakage is, and I’m sure the search will show that the damage is from normal wear and tear of my air conditioner unit. I have been a loyal customer for years and am so disappointed in Choice’s policy to deny and negate almost every one of my claims. I believe it to be unfair business practice to say that repair or replacement of a system is warranted due to normal wear and tear, yet negate every scenario and/or condition possible that would fall under normal wear and tear so that Choice would not be liable. Also, we, as elderly people, should not have to endure unbearable living conditions because they couldn’t assign a case manager to communicate with us within a week to get this rectified in a timely manner.

Our pool tech was excellent in communicating what was wrong with our pool pump. Also communicated well on his arrival to house and when he left. We were not able to there when he was, but Charles handled the situation professionally. Hopefully, Charles or someone as good as he will be the one to return and actually repair the pump.

Choice got Sears out right away. Diagnosed problems, got approval from choice and ordered parts the same day. Parts arrived at my house within a week. Sears is coming tomorrow to install parts. So far the tech was good. They needed to order a part, which is expected to arrive within 5 days. We will see if this fixes the dishwasher? CHW was easy to do business with and offered to pay an amount to replace the unit, but, it wasn’t enough to cover the cost, so, we choose to fix the unit instead.

Repairmen determined that my a/c was leaking coolant. Option 1 was to pay @$80 per lb for 3 lbs of coolant or option 2 was to wait for the a/c to stop working and then notify CHW so that chw can put a work order to replace the a/c unit (approx. Waiting period @1-2 months to install a new a/c). Both options suck!!

I would recommend the technician that serviced my air conditioner. He was on time and pleasant. He found out the reason for failure and turned it in immediately. Upon his return to repair the issue, he took no time to get the issue resolved.

This is a two part review. Three stars for Choice Home Warranty. They took too long in finding a technician to come out: a week is unacceptable with children and an elderly man living at home. Technician could not come out until 6/28. Five stars to Hubbs Heating & Air who picked up the job. I was delighted with their service technician Elijah. He was kind, courteous, was early and was very knowledgeable and even offered other services. Very pleased with my service from them.

Dealing with Choice has been good. The service provider not so good. I was provided with a 4 hour window for the plumber to arrive, a long time to waste if he doesn’t show up. Plumber left me a Text to call him for confirmation. I was busy when the Text arrived, so 20 minutes later I called. No answer. That understandable, he could be busy. 5 minutes later I called again, no answer. 5 minutes later he called me. I let him know I was scheduled to have my leaky kitchen faucet repaired. He informed me it was too late that he had already scheduled another job and I would have to call Choice and set up another appointment. Meanwhile my faucet is leaking on my counter.
In the past I have had a technician call as he was leaving or about to leave to head my way, maybe even calling while on the way. Texting is not acceptable, the technician must communicate via telephone. A 25 minute window for response is also not acceptable. Choice needs to enforce a phone call for confirmation and allow more than 25 minutes for phone confirmation.

I have had numerous vendors over but they are "mom and pop" shops depending on companies like Choice to give them business. Although my house is big my income is little because I am fighting stage 4 cancer and had 4 hip surgeries during Covid. The applicant agent this time actually listened and I will give Choice the benefit of the doubt. I spent over $1,500 for warranty only $300 in benefits. Today I'm choosing what I worry about at this point. If Choice continues this honest compliance then I will say so if not ....

The technician, Carlos was good at the job, knowledgable and thorough. The problem was that at the time of repair I had paid in full and was not told that the were any there charges. Two days later I noticed a $100.00 debit on my card. When I called to ask about the charge, I was told it was an additional cost to move my stove. I feel the charge was exorbitant since my son and grandson assisted him. I also thought I should have been told about it at the time the work was done, not two days later when I noticed the charge. I called Young's and was told I could only speak to one particular person. I was told that she was given my name and number to discuss, but was never contacted. I have spoken to various others three times, but it is obvious that they don't want to speak to me. I feel that this is a poor way to run a business. They offer no customer service at all. I would rather they not be assigned to me for a claim again.

I have received easily 50+ calls since putting in my first request for a quote. After telling multiple people to stop calling I still received robo calls. If it weren’t for the 25% off this weekend I would have probably gotten a plan elsewhere. I hope when plan comes to an end I don’t get spam called again.

Recent request for AC service repairs was declined. The case manager stated that the system was improperly installed. That is not correct. I hired my own HVAC consultant to review the cooling problem and have paid out of my own pocket to correct the issues. CHW improperly ruled on this claim so as not to pay out. My policy clearly exempts all pre-existing maintenance conditions within the first 12 months after purchase of my home. I am NOT a satisfied customer and will switch back to AHS once my policy comes up for renewal unless management fixes this injustice. I used AHS for 23 years and NEVER had any issues with approving AC claims.

We spent $134 extra because no technician contacted us when listed as water heater. And it was imperative that we find out why sparks were appearing on water heater. We were unable to use hot water for several days and a technician was in our condo who thankfully looked at the problem and fixed wire that had burned on water heater.

Your reason for denial of service stated lack of maintenance. Just so you know I had the AC ducts cleaned as I have COPD. So for you to say I didn’t do maintenance on my AC ducts is a lie. Your company just doesn’t want to replace the duct work. When this contract is up I will be going with another company.

This company says It will have someone there in 48 hours. My first claim was 8 month wait, then they denied it because the septic tanks were not in the house foundation. Second, our water pump went out, I am now 5 weeks out with NO water at all, and no prospects coming out. They are nothing but lies. I talked to a company to come out they said no because Choice doesn't pay. Run, that's all I can say is RUN!!!

I put my email address on the computer yesterday looking for new home warranty insurance. I received some quotes from other companies but most called instead of starting out with an email. I like to be the one who calls after looking at quotes. That why I choose the internet. I like to see quotes first! Some of the calls were from very rude and pushy sale people! Our warranty claim for a leak in a pipe was denied because they thought - without ever inspecting anything - that I somehow climbed into my ceiling and put a pinhole leak in a copper pipe. Insanity. I am appealing the claim but the process is convoluted and inconvenient and in the meantime I am out $400 on top of the $65 fee they collect before the tech even looks at the problem. Even if they had covered the issue, the cost to repair ($400) was far less than the cost of the warranty ($580). Absolutely horrible warranty, not worth the paper it is written on. Do not give this company your money!

CHW states in its advertising they will provide “peace of mind” to homeowners by repairing or replacing appliances when an emergency arise! This is half true, you pay for the technician who works on their behalf! CHW then uses the clauses in your contract that only fix or replace parts not purchase a new appliance if it not fixable.

I called to make a claim about my Samsung refrigerator. I answered the question they asked, and what the problem was. Technicians came and touch basis with Choice, and to my surprise choice let them know there is a recall on the ice box. A/C went out Sunday 06/27/2021 upon rising. Made claim at 06:37 am Sunday. There was no technician until Tuesday at approx. 14:30 pm (2:30 pm). Problem solved in about 40 minutes. But we had to wait approx 56 hours in the heat of summer. The wait time was for 2 people and 12 animals. But in all it could have been worse. (It could have been raining).

I took out a policy for 6 yrs. Never did have a claim denied. I talk to all the technicians who comes out and ask them which companies they like better from their end. They keep saying CHOICE. So I renewed for another 6 yrs. Only thing on a negative side is during the COVID-19, CHOICE wasn't prepared and it took both me and the technicians hours to get thru on the phone. Otherwise, I would have given a 5 STAR rating.

It was decided that my air conditioning system was not covered for repair. I don’t know how that determination was made without looking at the system themselves. The opinion was based on the technician's review alone. It seems that “normal operation” is up to their discretion and they can choose not to cover anything they want if they say what is causing the issue isn’t normal. They do not provide any kind of list or guide as to what is normal. They also do not provide any details about the maximum amount they are willing to cover for a given claim. I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone.

Very dissatisfied with this company. In just few words stay far away from this company if you can. I have a Home warranty service through Choice Home Warranty company of NJ. They Promised (as you can see on website ) 24/7 customer service, which is not true. They selling policies to millions and luring people and then using payment caps, contract exclusions and bad-faith refusals to avoid paying for repairs.
My AC was broke down on 6/9/21 and they have assigned it to Huffs Heating and Cooling (Mobile, Al), who came and inspected on 10th and found the compressor was grounded. From tech he send diagnostic report to company and when I contacted they say they never received. There was few days drag between and it's being peak summer with kids home. It's was horrible. The tech even mentioned that he received email something about numbers not being matched (guessing compressor model number). This tech has left wires unwired since he was expecting to come back to replace compressor. The drag caused me to contact them again on 6/14/21 to reassign to different contractor which they did to BLC refrigeration - they did the diagnostic and sent in a report of grounded compressor. The CHW declined the claim stating that:
"It has been determined the cause of failure of your system is with the compressor that has locked or open windings. Catastrophic failures that predate the standard life expectancy are caused by one or multiple issues that indicate an abnormal operation or malady in the system. Common causes for open or locked windings on a compressor could be: Contaminants or non-condensable in the line which cause the compressor to loose lubrication and over work until the windings and pistons stop pumping, low voltage conditions that cause an overheating of the wires and high amp draw leading to the windings to overheat and melt open, oil flood back to the compressor which causes slugging and overworking, over charge of the system causing the system overwork and cool improperly due to improper flash of gas in the sealed circuit, low charge which causes the system to run dry in the compressor and loose lubricant and grind down the windings, a restriction in the sealed refrigerant line which would cause the compressor to pump into a vacuum on the suction side and not get rid of the oil on the discharge line, and dirty coils which would restrict airflow, either at the condenser forcing extreme temperatures and the internal overheating of the compressor, or at the evaporator causing the system to freeze and starve the compressor of lubricant as the lines and internals freeze. Failures as such, are operating conditions that are not standard and units are not designed to handle and thus causing the catastrophic failure to the windings of the compressor."
How can it not be a natural failure? Compressor being a closed system there is no way someone can make it work abnormally. The company's website promises protection against the "high cost" of unexpected repairs for air conditioning units, refrigerators and other appliances. In reality they finding a way to decline the claim. ALSO GOOGLE CHOICE HOME WARRANTY LAWSUITS TO FIND LOTS OF LAWSUITS AGAINST THEM.

My A/C system is an old r22 type. Now Home Warranty does not want to fix or replace it. Problem with this unit being out 4 days as of now. Trying to think of a positive experience. None at this time. The service technician was very helpful and great service. The company Choice Warranty, on the other hand is the worst company to work with. They lied to me, they had excuses why my claim was denied. First was lack of service on ac unit, when that didn't work because I do service my unit every year. Then the the technician didn't get them the right info. Also not true. Reimbursement in 10 minutes it’s just a catchphrase. We just moved into our new home a couple of weeks ago. After some pretty serious rainfall we realized that the sump pump was not working and our basement began to take on a little bit of water. It was manageable, and we were lucky. We opened up a claim on Saturday when we noticed everything was getting worse. After waiting to get some type of information that the claim was excepted, we went into Sunday. I then noticed that the claim was in place and that no technician had still been assigned after the 4-9 hour timeframe we were given.
Meanwhile this was the fourth day that we were getting constant rain and the water was beginning to get worse in our home. After waiting all of Sunday in order to get a reimbursement claim set up, a plumber was set to come out on Monday morning. He filled out all of the information on the website, but it was not auto populating and adding up the totals correctly at all so it was not taking his info and the claim and not letting him submit it. Several calls were made, of which no resolution was found. We eventually got to the point where we had to reschedule because he could not sit there for hours waiting for this claim to get excepted.
After several phone calls, of which everybody kept saying “The approval will only take 10 minutes” it did not go through in time and the approval center closed. After several more calls the next day we were told that the center just opened, and it should only take 10 minutes. A couple of hours later he called in again, and was told that the claim was approved, everything looked great, and that the approval code should come, that’s right, in 10 minutes.
We finally got the approval on 930 to 9:45 AM on Tuesday morning. This is hours after the office was open, and obviously way more than 10 minutes. To make matters even more interesting, even though both my Plumber and myself were told that everything looked good on the claim and that all was set and ready to go, we then were told via the email that not all the charges would be accepted.
This has been a very dissatisfied experience, and although some of the cost Will get reimbursed, the ordeal in order to get that put in place was taxing and professionally unacceptable. You don’t tell people what they want to hear just to get them off the phone and move things forward for your day. If you say things are going to be done in 10 minutes, then they should be done in 10 minutes. Not days later. Sitting here and telling me that things are going to be done in “10 minutes” In order to get me off of the call, or not pursue things any further because it's too much of a hassle, is just insulting. I am in a booming market area and will let everyone know this is what to expect.

Your company begged me to do service with your company. I went on vacation to come back home and my refrigerator was not working. Not only was the scheduling horrible. Setting up appointments for the tech to not show, but the repair was denied. Mitch was horrible, claim representative. She came up with bogus excuses to deny the repairs that I’m just disgusted. I would not recommend your company to anyone else because it was a horrible experience!!!!

My Air Conditioner stopped working on Sun June 27. I placed a claim and then was given the name of the company who would be providing my repair. They were not available until Monday. Once Monday arrived, I was quickly seen by the technician and awaiting approval, my compressor fan was replaced. Since I live in SC, it is quite hot and humid here. My home reached 86 degrees inside before the job was completed, but now is cool. Being 80 years of age, this was extremely important that it was repaired quickly. Thank you Mericle Mechanical!!

AC was not cooling and thermostat showed the temperature rising when it was on a lower temperature. The friendly technician came out and did that the fan motor needed to be replaced. He replaced it and all is well now.
