    My upstairs toilet was leaking into the bathroom below. The plumber from Plumb Rite came at the appointed time, he knew right away what the issue was and corrected it.     I was very pleased with how Choice designated an air conditioning company who were reputable, experienced and knowledged in determining what was wrong with my A/C system. Comfort Zone close to where I resides after testing and examine my system were able to contact with Choice and report the motor had died.     When my AC went out I set up appointment right away, fastest said go online and I did. It took another 24hrs for call back. I had to call to be told 24hr hour call back. The email response with my WO# did not say that. What made wait so long was that I had an appointment next day 72hrs, but then I got email my appointment cancelled. I did not cancel. No AC going day 4, had to call 4 times same day to get appointment out 2 weeks. This bad wait. Thank goodness the assigned vendor accommodate on day 6 with problem AC. CHW suggest announce callback estimate and let home owner know approximate wait for repairs. Last item, thankful for AC repair. So far fixed issues. I do recommend practice masking when entering homes as the repair person does not know if someone has had covid or other health issues. Better safe for all. Thank you.

    I have had coverage for almost 5 years now and never placed a claim. My water heater went out and started leaking and they will not cover it because of an exemption that they have hidden in their policy. When you say you cover water heaters, dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves and other items you expect them to be covered. I will not be renewing my policy. I will also be sure I tell everyone I know that has your policy not to renew. I was also assigned somebody who was supposed to call me within 24 hours after my initial claim and it has now been four days later and still no one has contacted me.

    The Customer service personnel are very nice and seem to bend over backwards. But just like all the other home warranty services, their goal is to just take your monthly payments while finding every excuse not to provide the claimed service. My advice, have ALL your covered appliances and systems maintenanced and documented prior to initiating your plan. Apparently preexisting problems will not be covered even if you had no clue about them and the problem didn’t arise until after the warranty was in effect. Poor maintenance was sited even though I have pictures and documentation of prior maintenance calls. And now they won’t cover my AC until I fix it.

This means that practically anything that breaks down in my house could be excluded from repair on the subjective grounds that it is a "pre-existing" problem.     Our technician didn't just evaluate our AC, he did a full diagnostic to find what the problem was. The problem we reported couldn't be re-created when he came over, but instead of being just like most technicians and saying "well it seems to be working fine now", he went the extra mile to evaluate every component of our AC. After he pondered what could have been wrong with it while in his truck for 15 minutes, he came back to the door and asked if he could take one more look at the system and found that our drain was clogged for our AC, causing the condenser to turn off and only blow out unchilled air.     I filed a claim because one of my air condition systems was blowing warm air. In the claim I stated that there was a leak, because it had been serviced in May by my HVAC Technician. When the Choice Home tech came out he reported that he needed to perform a leak test which was denied by Choice Home. I had to pay the tech $75.00 to come out or to tell me what I already reported. If CH was going to deny the test why did you send anyone out in the first place. I didn't need anyone to tell me what I had already reported. CH should have approved the test and replacement of unit. What good is having a warranty policy that you will not honor. I am paying you for nothing.

They only said I was eligible for 67.56 back. I resent the bid showing that the total to be reimbursed should have been $152.56 after taking off the $95.00 I paid the tech for the service call.. YOUR GENIUS MATH PEOPLE could not understand where I got that total from. I have since spoken twice to people in the repair dept and in the customer serv.     I called Choice Home Warranty about my central ac unit stopped working. After I made the claim it took them 4 days to get someone to come out and on the day they they were supposed to show to fix my ac the guy doesn't show. I called the tech. He said he wasn't coming because he didn't understand how choice warranty wasn't calling him to fix customers after the diagnosis. So I called choice home warranty. They called the technician. And got things settled but the tech said he couldn't come I would have to wait till the next day.

    So now I am on day 5 my ac still not fixed. I had to miss a half a day's work. And will miss another half tomorrow. After the ac tech checks my ac then I have to wait for them to authorize the repair that could take up to 24hrs. In the meantime I am in my house and it's in the 80s and 90s and still no ac. So if you are thinking about going with choice home warranty don't. The service is slow and they have no phone number to file a complaint. So don't buy a policy with these people. Ron.

    My A/C unit is 21 years old and the capacitor was bad, when replaced still did not work because the compressor was bad. Because you said he didn't tell you why it was bad you reassigned another tech. I had be in my house for 2 day without A/C and the temp in my house was 110. I would consider this an emergency but you didn't seem that concerned that my 74 year old wife and myself were in a house recovering from COVID at 110 degrees. So I had him replace the whole system.     I filed a claim regarding water leaking from my AC unit inside my condo. Technicians were sent out 3 days after my claim was filed. The drain pipe on the unit was stopped up and needed to be "blown" out. The claim was denied because you decided my unit was installed incorrectly and the pipe was not angled to drain. That can't be possible or I would've had issues with this before this time. Second reason was you considered this a maintenance issue. I don't know of anyone that routinely cleans out the drain pipe on their AC unit. So my opinion is that Choice Home Warranty is pretty worthless.

    The person that came to fix my A/C was outstanding. My problem is with CHW it took 2+ weeks and several calls to your company before a request were ever sent out to get someone here and I explained in detail exactly what was wrong with the A/C when I first called. My wife got sick due to the heat and had to be carried by ambulance to the hospital. I was told by email and on the phone to go find someone to fix it myself and put in a claim. If I wanted to search for someone to do my repairs I would never paid for your services. This ridiculous that I pay for your company to provide a service and it takes 2 weeks before anybody attempted to do anything to provide the service.     I have had a Choice Home Warranty for almost 6 years and the few times I needed it they responded very quickly. However, the problem is I live in Laughlin Nevada and they claim they use technicians from my area....They always contact technicians from Las Vegas which is 90 miles from Laughlin. I do not understand why you do not use service techs from Bullhead City Arizona which is only 7 miles from Laughlin. The few times I have needed service it takes several days to get someone to come to Laughlin when I could have a tech from Bullhead City here the next day. I am now waiting for service on my A/C and have not heard from any A/C techs. My warranty with Choice will expire in December 2021 and I may be looking at other companies.

    The technician was very professional and efficient however, the claim was denied by Choice Warranty and I was out of over $200 for the claim. After reviewing the policy all components of the garage door is excluded. We paid over $2300 for a warranty with this company and they decline claims to avoid paying. We have had the warranty over a year and every claim that has been filed has been denied. We have 3 years left on what we paid and will be canceling as I can use the money paid for the warranty and pay out of pocket for any breakdowns since we are having to pay anyway. I do not recommend this company for a warranty.

    The first technician assigned for 07/12 did not show up, and was unreachable via phone. After repeated phone calls and requests of escalation to CHW, the claim was reassigned to 07/14, even though we kept mentioning the emergency situation due to little kids in the house. We finally gave up and called the reassigned technician ourselves, and requested him to consider the urgency of the situation, and he was kind enough to squeeze us in on 07/13. And to top it all of, after all this hassle and heartburn, CHW denied coverage of the claim, citing pre-existing conditions, even though we have the 3-yr VIP program and were assured that there would be no blackout/waiting period when we signed up for the program over a month back. Absolutely poor first experience with CHW. Makes us feel like they don't care about our business.

    The repair refusal and proposal to replace took too long and the initial offering was extremely low. It had to be reviewed which took another 5 or 6 days and then reviewed again once I accepted the second offer. Once that was done I was told it would take at least 2 weeks to get the check. I don't consider this to be good service especially for a refrigerator which is a very important appliance. It's not like any other appliance that are accessible elsewhere like laundromats for washers & dryers and kitchen sink for washing dishes. A household needs to have a refrigerator and so much time should not be wasted to replace one. Something should be done about handling refrigerator repair and/or replacement.

    This week has been a doozy. First our dishwasher went out. Everything went well with Choice, it was the repair service. Anyway after 2 no shows, I called Choice. Asked them not to refer me to that service again. Sure enough they did. Called a 3rd time and was able to get a service person to come out the next day. The refund gift card they are now sending in lieu of a check leaves a lot to be desired. 1st is the amount. 2nd is that it is for Lowe's. What if I don't shop Lowes? I'm stuck with the gift card? 2nd our HVAC went out. I'm still waiting to hear back about that.

    Not very happy with service. Fuse is still tripping every 5 to 6 hours when the temperature goes up. Then we know that air conditioning isn’t working. Have to go down to reset the fuse.     I am very dissatisfied with my contact with the customer rep that set up my claim. When I set up my claim, I advised I had a leak in the line under my kitchen sink, the faucet handle was loose/would not stay on, a leak in my shower head and a leak in an outside faucet. When the plumber came he only had orders for the leak under the sink and the outside faucet. I called your customer service while the plumber was here and was told that was all they had and I would have to set up a new claim and pay another deductible fee. This error was the fault of your rep because she DID NOT document all of the issues and she even asked me if I had any other plumbing issues I wanted to add. I SHOULD NOT have to pay another deductible since the error was on your company.

    I have been with your company for several years, you get your payments on time and I feel your company did not properly handle the issue. I didn't have the extra $85.00 to set up a new claim for what your rep failed to document so I did not go through with the second claim. I definitely will not recommend your company to anyone. I do want you to know that the plumber was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Sali Plumbing to anyone.

    CHW suggested we could find our own plumber. We did, he showed up but the process to get his estimate approved by CHW for replacing a wax gasket took too long so he had to leave. We’re talking about a simple and inexpensive fix and we couldn’t get through on the phone line or the website to get approval in a reasonable amount of time.
