I am a senior citizen who has used your service one other time (drain clog) since I purchased your service and still have over a year left on the contract. I requested service on my air conditioning unit on June 29th and a technician arrived on July 21st. We had no air during the recent heat wave! Fortunately Magic Mikes was an excellent company and made repairs to my satisfaction.
The problem arose when a request for payment of parts (other than Freon 22) from Choice was declined based on a judgement call from a photo where you concluded that the unit was not maintained properly. This appeared to me to be an attempt by Choice to avoid their part of our agreement. The York heat pump sits outside on a slab adjacent to the house, and even though it is an older unit, it was rebuilt about 5 years ago and has been well maintained internally since then! At this point, I would probably not recommend Choice to anyone unless we can come to some accommodation.

I have tried and tried to get hold of someone by phone and the only thing your system would allow me to do is file by computer. Today for the very first time I was able to get hold of a resolutions manager, Tamika R. She was very helpful I did appreciate what she was able to do for me. However, just to let you know your computer system STINKS!!!

I put in the ticket online and within 24 hours I was contacted by a service person who was kind, knowledgeable and professional. Immediately after leaving he put in the claim and within 24 hours he was back at my house to repair the unit. It is fully functioning now. Thank you Choice!!

The service technician is highly skilled and knowledgeable, and I'm satisfied with his competence and professionalism. Conversely, I am very dissatisfied with the level of support and attention (severely lacking) of the Choice service relative to responding to his recommendation and request for providing the parts necessary to repair my appliance. It has been ~10 days with no response, and my oven is still not operable. This is unacceptable customer service.

The tech. was very professional, and knowledgeable, upon completion he advised me that the house call was $85, instead of $40, No one told me that the fees had gone up to $40 dollars. Please advise me, no more surprises, please.

Although it took four days for someone to be scheduled to come out and look at our air conditioning unit, once they sent someone, the matter was resolved quickly and we were able to have someone come out the next day to install the part and we were able to start enjoying our AC again. Thank you.

Our bottom A/C unit would not come on. The technician was able to fix the problem very quickly and our unit is working perfectly! The process was easy. We went online to file the complaint/issue and we got a response of who will be out and when. Great Service!!!

The company and their representatives are always very courteous, swift responses, and quick appointments. The contractors are very responsive to the customers needs and requests. The online submission was super easy and very user friendly, I highly recommend them to new and transfer customers.

I used the option to call a technician when Choice had not contacted anyone. I live in Florida, and summer is brutal without air. I filed the claim on a Saturday so apparently they don’t call the repair people on weekends. Have not seen how quickly I will get reimbursed.

Technician was very good, fixed problem and explained what was wrong. As far as for scheduling appointment I was disappointed by how many days it took for problem was corrected. According to what I was told in beginning was service done a day or two especially since I was in township that many service providers were located.

The worst company I have ever had to deal with. They go out of their way to deny every claim you make. The customer service is unbelievably terrible and is not timely. I am looking to start a refund process. I was forced to give it one star, but in reality it would be zero stars.

The power company was changing out poles to the house and when they turned on the power the AC unit would turn off and on outside. I turned the unit off until the service guy got there. When I turned it back on it worked fine so the service guy checked everything and it was good.

Our technician was prompt and professional. He arrived early and took care of our home in quick fashion. He changed all the locks and reprogrammed a keypad. We would recommend Mr. Rekey to all folks needing this kind of service.

There was a leak that required a plumber and an air conditioner technician. They both came at different times and completed the jobs satisfactorily. Everything is working fine now. Both technicians were very knowledgeable and polite. Choice Home Warranty was there when I needed them.

Online submittal for a claim. Easy and fast. Response time was quick. Technician was on time, and resolved issue with 30min. No parts were needed, in fact a simple cleaning that was needed. I was able to perform.

Got someone out here within 2 weeks. The company was reliable and honest about the repair. The issue was not as major as I thought and they were in and out within an hour. Only costs me $80 after my service fee! Entire cost of the job would have been the service fee if I didn’t have Choice!

The technician was great. My experience with CHW was awful. Zero help with customer service. I am sorry I switched from American Home Shield. My husband has severe medical issues, and CHW was not helpful in getting my problem resolved. No human caring....

Filing the claim online was easy and effective. The technician was nice but couldn't really fix our problem because of CHW restrictions. In 3-1/2 years, we have had one successful claim and two unsuccessful claims. Water heater couldn't be fixed due to the MANY exclusions for water heater repair and the water leak on our A/C unit couldn't be fixed due to the MANY exclusions for A/C repair. CHW has more EXclusions than they have INclusions.

The tech was friendly, knew what he was doing, and was super nice to my dog. Great service. Fixed my washing machine in a timely fashion, cleaned up any mess that was made. Was quiet and quick. Great first experience.

The technician was supposed to come Monday, but did not. He never called to advise why. I called you and was informed he did not come because we requested additional parts which could be replaced. My dissatisfaction stems from the lack of a call. He was supposed to call me Tuesday, but never did. I am not sure when he is coming to fix the dishwasher.

Service and response was quick from both Choice and the Repair Company contracted by them. The problem could not be fixed with dishwasher and a partial replacement cost will be given to replace the item that was quite fair. I am very happy with deal and both Choice and the Repair company. Thanks! Hopefully, my other appliances will be ok, but it is good to know they covered in case of problem.

Fast service, fast response from the Company. Read the fine print, I was a little surprised about the amount I received for a replacement washer. It was for wholesale which was several hundred dollars less than what I could purchase a new washer. It could take up to 30 days to get paid with a Lowe’s gift card, which I can’t use to pay my Lowe’s Charge that I just used to purchase my new washer.

My area was not covered by Choice warranty even though I checked by email and phone call to ask if I was covered. Their response was a technician was coming, why was I not told that it was not covered. I checked before the tech came out. The tech was very nice and I’m sure would have done a good job if it was covered. I was cheated by choice warranty in having to pay $65.00 service fee after I called and emailed to ask if I was covered before they sent out a tech. I was guaranteed they cover my plumbing. I need someone to call me to discuss or I will not be renewing my membership. I have been a good client to you having no complaints, this is the 1st this yr and only used you once in my last membership yr. My number **. For what it’s worth. I don’t expect a cl. Choice Home Warranty provided excellent customer service from online requests to sending a contractor to fix my dryer. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to all my coworkers and friends. I had American Home Shield and that was the worst company I ever came in contact with my entire life. Choice Home Warranty program can’t be beat. My dryer was fixed 8 hours after I called them. My washing machine would not spin. The technician came on time. The appointment was within a reasonable time, after calling for service. He fixed my washing machine. Went online to report my AC problem. Within minutes, received an email with an appt for the following morning. I called the company to let them know I had a Dr's appt in the morning and to delay the call till afternoon. Well--about an hour later I got a call saying one of their technicians was in the area and finishing up another job and could come by if I was available. Said sure.. Technician came by and resolved the problem and I had cold air flowing one again.. WOW;; From online complaint of hot air to cold air flowing once again under 6 hours was incredible.. Thank You very much....

Our garbage disposal was leaking. I notified Choice Home Warranty of the problem and they notified a business here in town, a technician came out and fixed the problem within three days. No more leak. The Technician was very polite and saw the problem and solved it within a matter of an hour.

1. Choice Home Warranty ordered the wrong part even though they had pictures of the serial and model numbers, however they did correct the mistake but I was without AC for an extra 3 days. The service techs were great at what they did and explaining everything.
2. I was not happy about being charged a blanket charge of $475.00 for The non-cover charges can consist of; permit fees, disposal fees, modifications, upgrades, recapture/reclaim/recover, disposal, non-covered needed components, etc that are not cover by your policy. None of these things were even done on my job but I was still charged. I asked for itemized list of what was not covered on my job and was just sent the above info. I hope if I have to use them again I will not have these issues. I probably will not go back with Choice Home Warranty when my policy ends because of this. I have been with 2 other home warranty companies and never had to deal with this.
3. I was not happy with the fact everything was done by email or making an appointment to talk to a case manager. In my opinion too many hoops to jump through.

We live in a rural area and it took a while to find a technician, the reimbursement option required paperwork that our AC Company does not provide, all worked out well. Everyone was helpful each time I spoke to Customer Service Representatives. I just hope my next experience is better.

I had called multiple times for a callback from the manager which I never received. I called my washer over a month ago and you went to the wrong address. Then the refrigerator went out at that address and was going to be weeks before you can fix. I had hire my own person to come in and when he tried to call to verify that was a joke. I really would like a call back to discuss this further **.

First my positive experience. I called early on Sat. 7/17/21. I was able to submit a claim for my a/c not working. I immediately received an E-mail response with a claim #.. Later I was contacted again and told that a contractor from Little Heat/Little Air would contact me. I was pleasantly surprised when he was able to stop the same day.
The positive experience stops there. He briefly looked at my a/c unit, and told me I needed a new furnace filter. He left, without doing anything at all. I went and replaced my furnace filter as he instructed me to. He did say he was going to see if Choice Home would replace my unit. I did not hear any more until I contacted him. He then said his request for a new unit was rejected. He then E-mailed me that he could replace all for $6,800. He just contacted me again, and said the limits on my policy was not enough to replace anyway. I am confused and sit here today without Air conditioning. My claim # is **.. Please respond asap. Thanks.

Too much pressure to "upgrade" the warranty for a longer term. The salesman apparently doesn't understand the meaning of the word NO. He wouldn't stop talking long enough for any questions ot to both to ask why I wanted only a 1 year warranty.

GFI kicked out a portion of the house and can't find the cause. Choice had a company scheduled to do the inspection within 24 hrs. Electrician came out and did the inspection, didn't find cause but will bring out people to find it once approved. Very please with electrician. Overall very well handled.

Initially, we were given a date to fix the leak 4 days out. In the meantime, the only bucket that fit below the leak overflowed in about 15 minutes or less and the floor was flooded repeatedly. After arguing with your operators, they finally got us a new company who came the next day and were very efficient.

Been using Choice Warranty for over Six years. Easy to work with when a claim is made. To make claims more efficient, once a service provider is scheduled, call this provider to confirm or change time. Scheduling is usually automated and sometimes the service providers are not available at that particular time. Call them and everything will go smoothly.

Prime Pac Doors was excellent. Carlos ** diagnosed the problem in minutes. He replaced our 1/2 HP motor & adjusted the two springs. The door never went up or down so smoothly. He even realized that the beam sensors were misaligned & corrected it. He obviously takes pride in his work. He is my new go to guy if any friends ask for a reliable garage tech.

Instead of dealing with one person who would address my concerns, I was being contacted by multiple salespeople. The first three just kept sending me cookie cutter quotes, which did not meet my needs and refused to reply as I requested. Finally, Evan ** listened and replied to me and we were able to work out a five year agreement to my satisfaction.

Called CHW and was quickly given a next day appointment with an AC service company. However, the AC started working properly again so I quickly canceled my service appointment. CHW quickly processed my cancellation. I am very happy with CHW and highly recommend it for Home Sweet Home Peace of Mind.

The rep I spoke with did her job I guess. And from what I've heard from others that have your service that job is to do whatever it take not to cover your appliance if avoidable. After my call I canceled my service and I would recommend others do the same. The plan I had was good, but if what's in the plan is not gonna get covered or if it's always gonna be a reason of why not to cover it then the service is a waste of money no matter how good the plan is on paper.

I called and wanted to transfer my policy to the new home we purchased. I was told they did not transfer policies. I then went and purchased a policy from a competitor. When I called to try to get refund they then said no refunds but then was able to transfer policy to new address. But now I am out over $600.

I can not make a review that is positive. I have had two very bad experiences with CHW so I don’t have any positive statements since my experiences have been very negative. I tried several times to contact someone in upper management to discuss the problem but I did not receive any responses except from the claim agent. I am considering filling with the BBB.

I came home from work on Friday to discover my air conditioner didn’t work. I called immediately and placed a claim. The next morning my email notified me that I had a contractor. Trinity Climate Control came to my home Tuesday afternoon. The gentleman who came to my house was professional, knowledgeable and fully explained what happened. I have contractors sent by you who didn’t do a good job. I am glad Trinity Climate is a contractor working for you. Should I need a contractor, I will ask for them directly.

Tech did not introduce himself at the door upon entry. It wasn't till later when I introduced myself that he did also. I was surprised he didn't even find the need to take washer apart to find the problem. I will be happy to recommend Choice Home Warranty to friends. Hopefully I will receive Lowe's credit in much less time than 30 days. We need our washing machine.

Hello. Everything was going well until the service rep suggested the three year plan. I had said no and the response from the service rep was rude and condescending. He stated, "Well take a few minutes. You don’t want to put yourself in the corner. Why wouldn’t you want to save money?" It was rude and I have reasons for not wanting to spend $1450 right now and that is none of his business. Very unprofessional. Might even consider cancelling the plan.

AC not working was the initial complaint. It took several days for a technician to be assigned to make the repair/assessment. After 3 days I was given the option of calling a local person. I allowed to system to work. CHW did send a person who took care of the problem efficiently. Deductible paid, problem fixed. Good Job.

Explained to customer service person what I needed and was told they couldn’t give me the name of a company associated with Choice to have a service check. She set up an appointment instead and told me the maintenance check would be covered. I replied that “that didn’t seem correct but OK.” Sure enough it was not covered. It took FOREVER to be connected to a live customer service person. The computer obviously couldn’t understand that I just need the name of a company associated with Choice for a maintenance check. There was not a problem with the unit. Thankfully the technician, Phil, from 360 Aire was great.

The fan on the unit froze up. Wasn't cooling as it should. The tech tested wires and release some freon out of it because it was overcharged. He also checked the blower on furnace and the breaker box for the central air unit.

Kenny was very nice and professional. He was able to figure out why my a/c wasn't coming on, now we just have to wait for the warranty company to decide how we will proceed with getting it cooling again. Hopefully he gets to be the one to finish the job.

I feel that we are paying for the same repair twice. 26 May 2021 repair for top refrigerator not cooling (bottom freezer was fine). Worked until several days ago when we had same symptoms. First repair did not (fully?) solve the problem. Any coverage for lost food (spoiled and had to be thrown out)?

Erik is great. Your process is not. He's a licensed professional and you choke him out by not letting him do his job. SAME professional helped us at our other property with a water leak and you did the same thing. Take a picture, we'll get permission... What's that? I switched over to the Select Home Warranty from First American Home Warranty Services based on the sales person's assurance. It was a great mistake that the Choice was not the wright choice for me. I got my AC problem at the middle of July about 40 days of signing the contract to Choice. Instead of getting a proper service, I got an agent who ripped me off of those items those were not the culprit of the failure of the AC. He thought I don't know anything but it was an unfortunate for hims that I am an engineer who understand inside out of the system.
Since the problem was in my rental property and in the mid hot days, I left no choice except agreeing with him to pay unreasonable $$ for a simple job. It was so unfortunate that Choice didn't even cover any penny out of it and blamed to lack of maintenance for a failure of a capacitor. I tried to convince the adjustor that their contracted agent was not correct on this part but she didn't even try to listen to me. At the end I had to cancel the insurance by paying $50.00 penalty (the sales agent never said anything about this cancellation fee). So, be careful when you buy the Choice policy.

Your plumbing claims (procedures) are a big problem for your customers. The delay to confirmed a claim when it concern to plumbing it takes 24 to 48 hours to get an appointment, while your problem is losing running water. Then you get an appointment for 4 more days.

The technician that came out was great! He explained the AC unit was 16 years old and the condenser leak could not be repaired. The Claims Manager denied the claim because "the leak could not have developed between the time my policy went into effect and when the failure occurred". It was denied because they somehow determined it was a pre existing condition! By that logic if it is beyond a mfg warranty period any failure started before the CHW warranty went into effect. Good luck!

When calling to get information for a home warranty, I was expecting the customer rep (George) would identify himself, but he didn’t. I had to ask him for his name, and he was reluctant to give it to me. Once I explained I was calling for a quote, he then gave me his name. I also felt as if he was trying to rush me off the phone. This behavior was a turn off, but as the conversation continued he was helpful. Since I was referred to Choice by my coworker I was willing to try your services. I feel that George could really benefit by getting some additional customer service training.

I am still waiting for my hot water heater to be replaced. I received an e-mail from Choice Warranty that claim was approved and equipment was ordered on July 7. I called back 13 days later to find out the order had been canceled. I was informed to call back later that day for a status update from the Purchasing department on equipment order status. Claim still in process.

Repair was denied for an indoor part of the unit that had normal wear and tear (rusty coil). Rust is an exclusion. Be VERY aware of what the policy allows as I struggle to find anything it actually covers. Three out of 4 claims have been denied for various things - large and small. Not worth the money it costs for coverage. You are better off saving that amount annually and paying out of pocket for repairs.

Had clogged drains. Took all day to schedule a plumber. Then when I got the schedule confirmation on the schedule it was 2 days later. Totally unsatisfactory! Can't go 3 days without turning on water to shower, cook and use the bathroom. So I called Clog Busters whom you scheduled and moved up the appointment. It took all of 10 minutes to unclog.

Our water heater needed repair. You sent a technician but didn't approve of his suggestion for repair. You send another and we waited but he didn't show because you didn't approve him. Then we got a third technician and he fixed the issue but didn't have hot water for over a week because of your internal issues.

I was very pleased with the quick response of the technician. I was also pleased to hear that they are willing to replace my unit. However, when they emailed me they offered $343 in Lowe's gift cards in lieu of replacement...and those would not arrive for 30 days. Because you can't call anyone you have to communicate by Chat... Very tedious. After being assigned a case manager to handle my dispute I got an email to schedule a phone appointment...in another 2 days. Still waiting for that to take place so I won't know the end result until tomorrow.
I don't believe that it's realistic to expect clients to go through a 30+ day experience to have the washer replaced, nor do I think the price of replacement is realistic. Had they expedited the settlement the same way they did the tech appointment I would have scored them much higher. The settlement process is slow and confusing especially since you can't ask for clarification.

CHW scheduled the repair company eight days after filling a claim to come to just diagnose the problem and now they are ordering the part. It means it will take 15 days to repair a simple garage door opener. You will be in bad shape if you have car stuck in the garage and the door is too heavy to operate Manually. This CHW is worthless.

Technician was considerate and excellent. On the other hand to have the water heater scheduled for repair took 9 days. This is a problem for a family of 5 with only one bathroom. It took time to get us on the schedule and then only a few hours to get the job approved. We had to pay about $500 out of pocket because the original water heater was under warranty. We purchased the original one before the warranty service was purchased. Seems like we were penalized for paying for a new heater before purchasing a home warranty.

I had a plumbing issue and remembered that I had a warranty in place but couldn't remember it was with. Tried looking in my history to see when was the last time I used it. I called Choice and they were able to locate my account for me and place the service call. The plumber that responded was absolutely talented. He went right to the issue and was troubleshooting before I could blink. He was knowledgeable and fixed it. Also said if the problem persisted within 30 days to call him directly. The salesman misrepresented the process and the typical amounts of coverage. Once, however, the fine print was honestly presented, it appears the program can be useful in maintaining functioning appliance. IT was never made clear until after I had a terminal refrigerator failure that the "reimbursement" is limited to a LOWE'S gift-card ONLY. This is Not so good if the stores aren't in a reasonable proximity to your home. Also, the LOWE's selection was quite limited with no similar items available for over 45 days. Anybody want to live without refrigeration for a month and a half?

What the part would cost to fix it and asked therefore what would the charge be for us. Would it be the $65 or what. He claimed he could not answer that until the technician came to our home. But no matter what I would still owe $65. Conversation went nowhere. He was exceptionally unhelpful. And so now I’m waiting to get an email from the person coming out to evaluate our situation and then try to get them to let me know what it will cost to get it fixed. Or will my $65 as you state will be all I’ll pay. The fellow I spoke to on the phone kept telling me to look at my policy and kept reading stuff. I do not want to be put through a lawyer training program. Hopefully this will all get resolved but the experience so far has been most unacceptable. Regretfully!!

Wayne called me and had a very pleasant voice that was easy to listen to. He was not pushy at all, which I liked. He sounded genuine, like he really wanted to help me get a good deal on insurance and caught my attention. I hope the service and your company is as good as he makes it sound. Called 7/10 to report my AC not working. On 7/11, they assigned a company 2 hours away to come out on the afternoon of 7/15. That company was a no call, no show. Called Choice, they reassigned it to the same company again! When I called to complain, they finally assigned it to a local repairman (Who was great to deal with.). Turns out I waited 6 awful days for a $3 part that I paid $85 dollars for out of pocket. That's on top of the $50+ I pay per month for this coverage... Not worth it!

Put a w/o in Sunday night by 700am. Repairman called to tell me he would be by my house before 11am. Y'all this is amazing. Thank you for great service. I used to use HWA and y’all have surpassed them. I’d have to wait a week before repairman called and then I wound up having to buy a new refrigerator and washer and dryer. Theft. Never would fix and very rude.

Still not revisited. Parts were delivered. Been dealing with this since June. The 3rd repairman was great. He ordered the parts but now I’m waiting for him to return So we will see. After that I can give an honest review on choice warranty. This is my first claim and has not been a pleasant or easy experience.

Michael ** helped me set up my new account with Choice. I was a little nervous about getting the service. He answer all of my questions. He also asked if anyone referred me to Choice. My appointment was 3pm-8pm, no call from the technician that he would be late or not coming. I had to call (7:30pm) My sewer line was stopped up from Tue. through most of Thurs. (Tech was here 8:20pm.) (That should be a priority for the customer on sewer lines.) The Technician did a good job getting my drain unclogged. He had a nice personality and very experienced.

The technician was nice enough. I would recommend him. But my AC unit needed Freon and Choice does not cover it. So I paid $60 to find out that you don't cover what I need. Waste of money. I will be changing Home Warranty companies. Out of my last 3 claims, Choice has not covered what was needed in two of them. That is of no value to me.

Initially I reported my A/C was not working. I submitted a claim and had to wait, in 100 degree plus temps, to get a repair service to my home. They reported to you that my A/C was not maintained properly and that was the reason you would not honor my claim and all work from here on out was at my expense. After extensive investigation by the techs it turned out that fan was broke and needed to be be replaced. That was done and the A/C still did not work. A new tech came the next day and somehow got the A/C to work. He did say the board might become a problem.
The next day the A/C stopped again. This time the compressor was at fault. How come it worked the day before? Now it turns out that I would need to repair the compressor and maybe the board or just replace the entire unit. It was the latter that I chose because I Knew I would not be able to get compensation from you to do this repair. So far the new unit ($3800) seems to do the job although it does not compare (features) to the non-working unit. I also needed to replace the thermostat ($250). Are you willing to pay for any of this?

I Called and the response was prompt, the serviceman replaced a part. And the appliance was back in working order. The item was a Kenmore refrigerator about five years old and after one day we were able to restock it.

I submitted a claim on a Monday and the technician was at my house on Thursday. He was quick and repaired the refrigerator within 10 minutes. I would highly recommend that repair company. Choice Warranty never emailed my about the appointment so I didn't know he was coming.

This issue is the first time we used Choice Home Warranty services. Our AC stopped working and we called in a service claim. Choice Home responded and gave us a AC company. They responded promptly and they sent a technician also very promptly. The technician was able to repair our unit and we are pleased with the service.

The company contacted a repairman within 24 hours and within another 24 hours a decision was made to replace the microwave. The company will provide funds for a complete replacement. I would be happy to recommend Choice Home Warranty to all of my friends.

Our A/C stopped working and thankfully we had a warranty with Choice Home Warranty! We were able to select a company of our choice and get reimbursed after their approval. The technician came and diagnosed the problem. Uploaded the diagnosis and pictures to Choice's website and got approval while we waited. It took about an hour. Thankfully the technician was patient and willing to wait. Overall we are so glad it all worked out and Choice paid to have the A/C repaired.

Kendrick's was here Monday 7/12 as you said They would be. He found a leaky water valve that needed replacing. Turned it off, said he would contact you guys that night about replacement. Haven't heard from anyone since. I will be glad to write a better review when the work is done.

MAN Power Electrical Systems did a great job fixing my issue. He was able to pinpoint the problem quickly and swapped out the bad CGFI outlet. Also, he replaced an outlet on the outside of the house since it was tied to the wire.

Pool company that did repair was very disorganized and under trained. They took a long time to do repair and then did it wrong! Very rude to deal with them!! Took several visits to fix pool in middle of summer which means we sweltered in the heat AND then the pool wasn’t really fixed and now have to have them again … Very BAD experience!

I asked several times when going over coverage with your agent Ali if my salt water pool and separate above ground spa could be covered with your company. I was assured each time I asked that yes, my salt water pool and separate above ground spa would be covered. Now, reading through the contract I find that I was lied to and that the salt water system and the above ground spa are not covered at all. Your contract states in section D. Optional Coverage, "EXCLUDED: Portable or above ground spas - lights"..."salt water generators and components." Please do not process my payment and cancel the policy as it does not fit my needs.

I have had CHW for a few years now and am very happy with it. They have replaced a motor on my AC unit (twice), flipped the right switch on the heater - and didn't have to wait long to have it done. I use CHW on my rental property and will soon use it on my primary home when the gift of this other one runs out. CHW has been good to/for me.

A appliance was denied coverage. Still waiting for a case manager to contact me. Very hard to reach somebody on the phone. When you do reach somebody, the call gets disconnected. Very frustrating when you've been on hold for 45 minutes.

We found a leak under the house and water was streaming out on the ground. This went on for over 7 days. The technician came out and was able to solve the problem in a relatively short time. We have not had any more problems with the leak that came from the hot water heater and near the washing machine.

They usually get us someone out quickly and if not they give us the option to call on our own. So far we’ve only had them not cover 2 things and one was because a mistake was made in the initial paperwork so maybe check your contract when you sign up and make sure they checked all the correct boxes. When we bought our home the sellers covered our first year of coverage and that was to include our grinder pump, which is an extra thing you add and pay for here. Well when we had an issue and had to replace the pump we found out they did not “check the right box” so it was not covered and we had to pay for it ourselves. They did however cover the cost of labor even if that was nothing compared to the price of the pump.
I’ve come to the conclusion that yes I will keep my home warranty because it does make life easier and you can think of it like a coupon book… you're gonna get whatever it is fixed anyway… at least with the warranty you may get a “discount” LOL. Plus you just go online and submit the claim and they handle the hiring and scheduling for you, that saves time and aggravation. In a perfect world they would cover anything and everything no questions asked but that’s unrealistic. They are helpful, get the job done, and have saved us money overall.
