So far, my experience with Choice has been positive. Enrollment was simple, short and very affordable for my small budget. Hopefully I won't have to use my warranty plan, but if I do, at this point I feel comfortable knowing I have this plan.

CHW was unable to find a technician for a Saturday call. They gave me an option of waiting or finding my own tech. I found a tech - he arrives about 3 hrs later - eMailed a quote to CHW from my home - 10 minutes later I had the approval w/ a check to be mailed in 30 days. 3 hours after that the work was completed and I took a shower. Thanks, CHW.

I had a great experience with the serviceman who you sent out to fix my broken spring on my garage door. I was able to file the claim and have service the same day and it was Sunday. A very happy customer! It works great now!

I was looking into a policy but changed my mind at the end of the conversation and I was taken advantage of and the company still made up a policy for me and without authorization he stole my hard earned rent money total of $495.00. It took me lots of calling back about two hours the company Home Warranty until I found someone that had a heart to help me out. The issue still has not be resolved yet. I will positively wait and depending upon one of your many employees to do what’s right and return my money so I’m able to pay rent. This happen 9/13/2021 at 10:21am. I will strongly not recommend this company. No way!

Had to have a new air conditioner, you paid nothing. Only good thing is the technical came out promptly and I got the new air conditioner the next day. However, you didn't pay anything, I'm stuck with the payment after having your insurance that was supposed to pay for new air conditioner!

Consumer Affairs was wrong on Choice Home Warranty. Based on their ratings and comments we switched from 2-10 and it was a huge mistake. Our garbage disposal started leaking. At first the service was very good. Very quick response, plumber was out within 48 hours. It was a little odd that he had to come from Phoenix to Tucson (do they not have plumbers in the Tucson area?). Told us that it had to be replaced and would submit the paperwork. When we heard nothing from either CHW or the plumber we called and were informed the plumber had not submitted the diagnosis. CHW told US to contact the plumber which we attempted to do several times. Phone calls were never answered and message box full!! We finally after several days we were able to reach the plumber who stated that indeed he had submitted the diagnosis and was awaiting approval and he would follow up.
Since then (heading into one month) nothing but a blame game between the plumber and Choice Home Warranty and us stuck in the middle. We switched from 2-10 home warranty based on several positive ratings for CHW but after this experience we would not recommend for anything. All they appear to want to do is string you along. Terrible customer service and all their communication is via email.
After requesting to cancel our contract, we received a call from a Supervisor who stated we would hear back within six hours with a resolution. Did we get a call? No! We had to contact CHW the next day via email of course and we’re finally given the option of hiring our own plumber subject to CHW approving his proposal. So we were left to do CHW’s job. Approval was given to the technician we found after submitting his bid and work was completed the next day. We did more work on his than CHW.
CHW is great at lip service but not on follow through and the only reason our issue was “resolved” is because we threatened to cancel our contract and we did their work and found someone to do the repair. For CHW to take one month to resolve this minor problem, I hesitate to think what would happen if a major appliance needed repair. Save yourself the headache and don’t use CHW.

I did not get a person on the phone, but my claim was taken by the service. I received an email confirming they had my claim information. Can’t comment more than that. That part was very easy. Just waiting to get a call from a service technician.

Range will not turn off. Wait time for assist was short. Very helpful. This policy is new for me. Purchased condo August 13, 2021. Pleasant surprise to find out that I had a warranty till 2024. Would gladly recommend your company to friends and family.

The price per month is very reasonable. I called last week about my heating system and someone will be here by Thursday. Very friendly reps and I'm very happy so far. I wish all my family and friends had this company. I sleep better knowing I have them. Way less stressed!

I was at work but, the technician called me and kept me abreast of the issue. I was made aware of the problem, the repair needed and he even sent me a picture of the completed repair. I bought the 5 yr package to get the discount. I did get a new washer the first year, but in 2018 my a/c broke and the part wasn’t covered so I had to pay for it. Now my a/c broke again and they are denying my claim saying damage due to rust isn’t covered! I consider that normal wear and tear! Waiting to talk to an agent.

The repair person came during the window of time given to us. He was able to diagnosis the issue with our oven. The starter was the problem and was able to replace the part in a timely manner. The whole process was about one hour.

Electrician was very professional and had issue fixed within 30 minutes. Electrician called prior to arriving and made sure I was allowed to inspect his work prior to leaving as well as asking to see if there were any additional issues that needed addressed.

Flow Masters Plumbing went above and beyond to unclog our master bedroom's shower drain. The technician removed the hair that was deep within the pipe, he advised us to use Liquid Plumber when we notice a slow down in the water going down the drain, and he provided us with an easy way to pull up the stopper. Great job! Thank you.

My washer stopped working. Choice Warranty found a company to fix it for me for just the cost of the call to check it Which $75.00. Doesn't compare to what it would have cost me to just have someone come out to fix it. It would have been an extra 130.00.

After previous repair claims have been denied, I was pleasantly surprised to have this one covered. A reputable technician was sent out the day after the claim was made. His report submitted to CHW was originally denied. But after I called to try and find out why the claim was denied, It was later approved, And the repair was successfully completed. I am happy and relieved to report a positive experience with this CHW claim.

Genuine sales contact with customer service representative, Jimmy **. I am a senior citizen and Jimmy was clear, concise and made the sign up experience painless. Wish all my calls were as pleasant. My home is reaching that 10 year since construction anniversary and little things have already started happening, so I researched to the most recommended home warranty for my state and it was Choice.

The technician was great. Unfortunately Choice business practices don’t match up with their marketing practices. It odd that Choice had the warranty on the condo prior to my purchase, I had a licensed inspector inspect home and my claim gets denied as it was considered “pre existing condition”. My view is normal wear and tear, we differ. Example: Marketing: DON'T WORRY. Reality: What’s NOT covered is more than what is covered.

Very pleased with service. Was kept updated on arrival times, technician was polite, attentive to my questions and kept me informed as to what he was doing and why. Unit was repaired in less than 40 minutes and house had a/c back running.

My A/C unit stopped working so I called Choice to send someone out to repair my unit. They did but the technician stated The compressor is gone and I will need a new unit. The claim was denied because y’all stated I did not do the proper maintenance on my unit. This is a LIE!!!! I’ve been a home owner for 10 years and has always had my heating and a/c unit serviced every year. I’ve been in my home for 2 years and had a professional a/c company come and and service my unit.
I’ve use American Home Shield but decided to give Choice a try...bad decision on my part. I purchased the warranty in good faith that you will take care of anything in my home that breaks down. Well that’s not the case. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Yes I am very upset. They didn’t have a problem taking my $1300.00 I paid for the warranty but is quick to lie about me not doing the proper maintenance on my unit. I do have receipts for services on my a/c.

Upon my email for service request, I got call back and a technician was arranged. The technician visited was very knowledgeable and professional... Hi my name is William. When I first received a call from Choice Home Warranty, it appeared it was a fraud alert! The individual hung up on me when I asked for their website. After denying the next 5 callers, I finally gave in to one of the sales person. They made me a great deal, cheaper monthly payment and half the service charge of Total Protect. I haven't seen my policy yet, but hope to view a copy soon. I will see if the introductory offer is increased after the first year.

David did a Very Professional service repair on our home central A/C. He was extremely polite and dedicated to his work during the entire service call. For two years I did not need CHOICE and I thought "Why did I EVER GET A WARRANTY"? I am sure glad I did first it was my stove and they came right out but the part was not available and they stood behind their claim and ended up helping me to get a new stove! Two weeks later, my refrigerator quit working and now they will be sending out a repairman soon. I am confident they will get it fixed for me. All the repairmen have been excellent! It took 12 days and multiple calls to get someone to the home and then I was told sensors were not covered. I am a Real Estate Broker and chose this company on the referral of one of my clients but am not sure I would recommend to my buyers.

A/C repairs, leak causing dry wall damage and thousands of dollars in home repair. Called Choice Home Warranty, got a company dispatched who was not competent to solve the problem. Issue recurred and more water damage in the house. Called Choice, was asked to hire my own contractor as long as they are licensed for immediate A/C repairs. I did that and initial invoice came out to be $900 that I paid out out pocket. And more repairs worth $1800 are needed. Called Choice, was told they don't work with other licensed contractors and will not reimburse or authorize my hired company for fixes. Their dispatched company is not competent to solve these issues. Wasted home warranty premiums and lost hundreds of dollars in this process.

Florida Garage Door repaired the broken part. Mike did a good job. Though it took 4 days before they could come out to repair my door. Other than that, we are satisfied with the work. Considering with not enough help and Covid it is to be expected.

Kind of disappointed that could not find a Plumber for my service area. I ended up getting my own handyman. Lucky his finish price was cheaper than the service call would be. Will try it once more. If I get the same result, will probably cancel my subscription.

I have had several claims and they’re all handled in a professional manner. All of their service companies have been very good and professional. I file a claim this morning and within a few minutes I was advised there would be a service company here within 24 hours.

I received an email stating that I would be required to pay the technician $85.00 upon arrival. So I called CHW and inquired about the service fee. The representative reviewed my account and corrected the error and apologized about the error. I was grateful for his assistance and his professional demeanor.

I would recommend CHW, and I also realize all of this happened over a "long weekend" - Labor Day. We received email, etc. but I never did talk with our representative for the claim. All I wanted to know was if we could go somewhere else to purchase our washing machine, and not use Lowe's gift card. I called and talked with a rep. He immediately got it approved and we have ordered our washing machine with the understanding that we will receive our check in 30 days. The amount approved was not the issue. It was where we could go to use it!! Thank you.

This claim should have been resolved months go. The 1st tech CHW assign diagnosed the issue. CHW declined the work order. Since then it's been a series of unqualified technicians that either don't make the appointment at all or are AC people hoping to make a few extra bucks but have no Idea what they are doing. After enduring 3 of these failed assignments I was offered to find my own tech & be reimbursed, Our factory authorized tech diagnosed the problem. Could order the part from the manufacturer. It would be here in 3 business days. CHW said the part was not available. Canceled the work order??? Then assigned a case manager Andre ** who automatically set a call for 2 weeks in the future!!!! I have called & emailed him. NO RESPONSE AT ALL.
When I called for a supervisor to expedite this I was promised a direct call within 24 hours TWICE .... Nothing from CHW. They assigned another case manager again promising a call within 24 hours. This is total abuse of the customer in hopes I will go away, we all have seen the scheme before. I AM NOT GOING AWAY. I will use every forum available to spread the word on CHW abusive business practices include filing complaints with the state & federal agencies. They have oversight on them.

The tech arrived within the time frame, called to let me know he was on the way. He was friendly and helpful. Finished the job quickly and gave me information on what he repaired. Service was scheduled quickly. Very happy with the experience.

I'm not pleased with the hoops one must jump through to get a claim approved. When the original issue occurred the service technician was only authorized to change the fan motor even though the technician told Choice Home Warranty the outside unit needed replaced. Instead, we had to ENDURE THE TEXAS HEAT in the middle of August WITHOUT air conditioning! Once the initial repair was completed within a week we had to reopen the service request as the AC was out again. There were a total of 3 AC break downs in the middle of August and we had no AC! On the third time it broke down replacing the outside unit was approved. Then it took over a WEEK for the technician to get the inside and outside units so he could replace them. Have you been to Texas in the middle of August? It is VERY hot here.
A friend of mine that is a licensed AC repair person said it should not have taken that long and should have been able to get the units and have them installed within a couple of days, not over a week! But, since I went through the home warranty, it is MUCH slower. This is is very similar to what happened to us last July and August when our refrigerator went out and we didn't have one for 6 WEEKS, again, in the middle of summer from July 4 through August 18, 2020! Not a good experience as repairs take WAY TOO LONG! Then I had to pay for "retro fitting" to get the new units up to code AND pay for the inside air handler so it cost me way more than I expected since I have "home warranty coverage" to, as they say on their website, “save money” and “save time”!
Choice Home Warranty does a TERRIBLE job on the “save time” “Key Benefit” from their policy. The jury is still out on the “save money” “Key Benefit” as it sure cost me a lot for a covered item… the AC UNIT! The website says “If you would like deeper coverage, opt for a more complete plan." A Total Plan from Choice Home Warranty includes… your Air conditioning. BUT, that is not completely accurate as Choice Home Warranty only covers SOME of your air conditioning! Last July & August it took 6 weeks to get our refrigerator fixed and now this issue with the air conditioning. Clearly not saving time!

Parts on order for completion of the job but happy so far with technician (Michael). He was knowledgeable and was quick to diagnose the issue. I would recommend him and use him for future appliance issue. I'm confident in resolution of my issue.

Your company sucks. It is fraudulent in what it says it will do and no one should hire you. I want my money back because you wouldn't fix or replace my water heater. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND YOUR COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY.

Response time was fantastic - much better than previous insurer. Technician chosen was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and courteous. Claim resolution was fast and smooth. Overall, service was excellent, smooth and efficient. Would recommend Choice as provider to anyone.

My only issue is with CHW for scheduling the appointment for 5 day out from when I reported the issue, I was able to call the AC vendor and get them to come the next day. They were very accommodating, and quickly resolved the issue within 15 minutes of arriving at the house. I would use this company again for their quick response and quick repair.

My claim remains unresolved and I am not pleased with the service I’ve received. I do not recommend Choice Home Warranty. If you purchase a plan from their website, you do not get the same level of coverage as folks who purchase through a realtor.

Feedback was good. The lack of service was due I think to the call being placed on this Saturday. I was given an option to seek other service. But that is usually a difficult task on weekends. So far I'm satisfied with the service.

The technician who came to my house from Cardinal Locksmith was amazing. He was in contact before the visit and adjusted his visit to best work with my schedule. He took his time and really knew what he was doing. He let me test the locks myself before leaving and was extremely professional. I would recommend him to anyone needing a locksmith!

Need to be quickly on making decisions about replacing A/C, dishwashers, etc! My A/C went out twice in Aug! 10th and 30th. Was without A/C until Aug 18 (8 days) it was service, came back on! Worked until Aug. 30th,! I called and reported the issue, No cool air, blowing hot air out just as before! The temp. has been in the high 90ies inside the house in the high 80ies! I have been without A/C for 12 days! It is still out! It has been 12 days! I am 80 years old, I hope you understand how important it is to get a Claim taken care of ASAP. Especially the A/C and Heating in summer and winter! You have approved to replace my A/C unit, which I am so grateful for! Hopefully very soon it will be fixed. Sorry for the lengthy description! I was very pleased with the repair of my toilet. The technician was professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. He explained what was wrong with my toilet. He quickly assessed the issue, made the repairs, and was on his way. He had the broken part already on his truck, so it made the repair quick and easy.

He diagnosed the problem right away. Unfortunately, was not given authorization to fix the issue because he needed to clean out the roof vent where the stoppage was. This was disappointing. The previous plumber tried to fix the issue, then cancelled on me 4 times to come back out. His name was Jeff Clog Busters and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Very unprofessional, 3 no shows without a phone call so I went 3 weeks without a functioning kitchen sink. Sassaman services that came yesterday knew exactly what the problem was and we were able to fix it ourselves.

Upon filing a claim on our A/C system you took a week to get someone out for the first thing. I called another company to check system an had a diagnostic before your people ever showed up. I offered to pay for the repairs and get reimbursement but was told no. So I waited for your tech to arrive a week later. Upon arrival he diagnosed the exact same things I had already told you was the issue. Once the technician filled his report, in less than 5 mins I was sent a refusal for repair claiming power surge had done the damage and was not covered. The Technician never said anything about power surge so I would like to know where in the Hell you came up with it from miles away. Currently I am in the process of an appeal with you but I am also researching the cost of an entire new system. If I go this route I know exactly where $62 a month will be diverted from to pay for it. Because I am dropping your **.

The technician and his assistant were A+. He diagnosed the problem as a leak in the coils causing a slow gas leak leading to ac freezing up and not working. Choice warranty decided to go on the cheap and just recharge it instead of fixing the issue properly, so me and my family will be inconvenienced again in the near future when gas leaks out completely again.

Do not trust coverage for AC issues. Any defect in parts is not covered and any issue related to corrosion, exposure to elements (which is most AC parts that are outside). You pay for coverage but everything is excluded by these two caveats. I asked agent what would be covered and both the first agent and the appeal agent could not give one example of what would be covered. Additionally, the first agent made a disparaging remark regarding my mentioned disability. Very disrespectful to treat the disabled so badly. I would have preferred the truth upfront that nothing is covered for AC. That way I would not have wasted 4 days waiting on the service company to show up plus another two days waiting for a determination. A total sham! Beware of the AC coverage - well non-coverage!

The fan was not fixed because Willpower Electric did not have the part to fix it (a speed controller). He did have a three speed and not like what was there. Mine was a four speed and looked different. The part is available because I checked. He said he would order the part to my house and come by to install it. His rating will go up once it is fixed correctly. I did pay him so I expect it fixed.

Choice was slow to respond to my first Service Request. After Contractor diagnosed air conditioning pump failure, Choice declined to cover it. Choice informed me that information in Service Report led to decision to decline but will not share the report with me. I tried to make appeal with case manager who refused to share report. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she informed me that she doesn’t have a supervisor. I highly recommend not doing business with Choice.

Both of my claims were denied because CHW said the issues were not caused by normal wear and tear. I have 3 independent technicians (who inspected my furnace and air conditioner) who wrote down that the problems were due to normal wear and tear. I appealed, it did no good. On Facebook CHW there are 100's of people who have had the same horrible experience. I will be doing 2 things: (1) I am joining in the class action lawsuit that is in process and (2) I will be taking the CHW CEO to small claims court.

I gave the agent my credit card information and then he came back to try and up-sale me on longer terms before he purchased. I declined multiple times and finally hung up because he wouldn't let it go. I told them before that I didn't want the home warranty any more. He still charged my credit card. If your service is so great let it speak for itself, it felt like a high pressure sales meeting.

My stove stopped running; it wouldn't heat up, and on top of that, gas was coming out. I turned oven off and called Choice Warranty, filed a claim, and they sent a technician within a few days. The technician identified that the igniter wasn't working, and replaced it. The oven now works great! I am extremely satisfied with the end result. The whole process went really smoothly. Not to mention that my oven is now up and running!

The technician was great, courteous and knowledgeable. The problem was my refrigerator. It was decided that it was not able to be fixed. The amount suggested to replace it was reasonable due to the age of the refrigerator. The time needed to send the payment however is totally, totally, totally unreasonable and I will probably not renew the contract with Choice Warranty because it should not take 30 days to send an e-gift card! Really, 30 days for someone to send an email? Meanwhile, I have lost an entire refrigerator full of food and am unable to replace the refrigerator until someone decides they have the time to send an email. Not reasonable.

I was initially impressed with the response to the claim I submitted. An HVAC technician was dispatched the next day to assess my unit. It was determined that a component needed to be replaced that was still under manufacturer warranty. I paid my $85 service fee for the initial diagnosis, and then I had to pay a $300 fee to the HVAC contractor to repair my HVAC unit that is covered by Choice Home Warranty and was still under manufacturer warranty. I don't like to see unexpected fees for things like "warranty processing".

I've chosen CHW for the last 3 homes I owned. Always extended policies (6 years). I have only used them 2 times (for a pool pump which needed to be replaced and a thermostat). I like that they make the process easy and quick. I also like that the transfer of the policies to the new owners of the homes I've sold went without a glitch. I had other Home Warranties before Choice, and once you go Choice you will not want to go back!

The technicians for three repairs were I had in 15 months of coverage were excellent. The plan’s communication very good. The plan itself wasn’t worth anything. The plan always had a reason to deny the repairs Always. Although they offered replacement at very high cost. I purchased this plan for protection and coverage of my covered appliances and Air condition. Instead they would say due to line 7 page 437 they would deny if there was rust on the Outside Air Conditioner. The employees were pleasant and understanding. The plan is worthless. Choice customer service and case managers are very friendly. However your choices for service vendors are limited and you cannot choose a vendor. Reason given is that the system is automatic and will not allow you to request a certain vendor or even a previous vendor who you used. American Home Shield certainly allows this type of choice. Also the quality of vendors leaves a lot to be desired.
It took over 2 weeks to get my gas Hot Water Heater fixed and it took 2 different vendors and 3 visits to finally fix it. One vendor stated it needed a new gas valve and ignitor and then they declined to service it and the next vendor who was not able to come for close to a week stated it was a simple thermo coupler fix and he did fix it in 15 minutes. On another issue I have been waiting for over 2 1/2 months now to get gaskets replaced on my GE Monogram Refrigerator and Freezer. I was told I could not request GE Appliance Service to perform the work and now after having 3 different vendors to come look at the same problem I am still waiting "for the parts to come in." These experiences have been very frustrating and time consuming on my part. I am giving serious consideration to canceling my contract with Choice and going back to American Home Shield even though they are more expensive...I guess you get what you pay for.

My ac received service from Choice Warranty for the same issue on August 7, 2021 as today, September 8, 2021. Not cooling and Freon was added. Seventy-five ($75) each call. It’s cooling again as it did in August. Freon was added. A leak test was not authorized by Choice Warranty.

I was very pleased with the salesman's approach and demeanor on the phone. He was very friendly and was able to handle my request quickly. The contract is somewhat misleading, for example, the well pump, covered then it limits repair or replacement to $500.00, same with the septic pumping, is it covered or does it have a limit of $500.00 also? I called in my claim two weeks ago and my air conditioning is not fixed. I questioned why it is talking so long because the air conditioning company I have a service agreement with of come out that day. It broke and replaced the EMC in two days. The answer was that the technician is booked and could not come out for a week. And then after he came out Choice wouldn’t allow him to get the OEM part locally. Instead Choice is requiring the EMC to be shipped from out of state. Antony.

Service was excellent. Within minutes of calling in my claim the repairman called to let me know when he'd be here. I had to pay a $45.00 service charge. This is the first time I used Choice Warranty. I thought first service call was free.

Choice dispatched a Service Tech that was absolutely great. It was obvious from the time he walked through the door he was a pro and knew what he was doing. He did an evaluation in short order, explained our A/C problem, explained the solution and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. We are looking forward to doing business with him.

I called to get information about joining Choice because I was dissatisfied with my current home warranty company. The call started great and the agent was my best friend. The price was quoted and I gave a CC for a year warranty on my home. After the transaction, the agent stated he wanted to offer me a better deal for a 3 or 5 year warranty. 5 minutes and at least 6 NO's later, he finally let me off the phone with a disappointing sigh. I felt very pressured and almost cancelled the 1 year warranty I had just purchased. I don't like high pressure sales and that's what this gentleman did. I hope the warranty service department treats me better.

Started August 2, checked September 9. Won’t be back until 9/30. Way too long to repair, tech doesn’t know if this will repair. Been without freezer for nearly 2 months. Not satisfactory. Should have been repaired much sooner. LOST about $1000 in freezer items due to no storage room for weeks.

He did a fine job, he showed up on time and was communicative with me. My water heater is now working, so for that I am thankful. I did not like that he didn't clean up after himself. He removed some ceiling tiles and frame from the closet he needed in and did not put them back. It won't take me long to do it, but I feel he should have done that.

I had an issue with either my water heater or furnace, I wasn't sure which one since they are both next to each other but the claim was written up as water heater and then the technician came out and discovered it was the air conditioner so they called me to tell me that I had to call the warranty company to get the to change the classification of the work order so I called you guys back and I was told I would have to pay another service fee of $65 which I was not happy about.
The first technician that came out was not a good representation of his company as he was argumentative, had to be asked to take off his shoes when he had to go upstairs because I have white carpet and seemed annoyed to do it. I wanted a new company to come out and he was great! He found the issue right away and it was not what the other tech. thought and said it should have been discovered when the 1st guy came out. I will not be renewing my contract with CHW and I'll find a different company that won't charge me multiple service fees to solve an easy problem.

The person who came was neat, clean and seemed to know his business. However he needed to get the part needed to fix my plumbing and said he would return at no cost to me. Now I get an email that says he is scheduled to return 11 days from the first appointment, so my bathroom sink will be out of service for almost 2 weeks. I don't think he did this?! I am not happy.

Tyler arrived for his appointment, THANKFULLY, way early to repair our AC, which had been out for 5 days in the west Texas heat. He introduced himself, thoroughly wiped his feet on our doormat before entering the house, and proceeded to go to work. He kept us up-to-date on the workflow and what he was doing. Tyler quickly had our unit issue diagnosed, the part replaced, and the AC back on and WORKING! We were very satisfied with his service all the way around! Thank you!

The Tech was AWESOME. It took 4 days to receive a response. It was a holiday weekend. I'm just glad it wasn't my HVAC. I would have melted by now. The wait time to get my washer fixed I feel was too long. The Tech came to my home 5 days later.

I was told that the warranty would take care of anything we acquired with the house at time of purchase but you are saying the problem with the washer is not normal wear and tear. I realize the washer is old but it was like that when we moved in. I have renewed my warranty but intend on canceling it and getting a refund to purchase a new washer. Typical warranties.

I am very disappointed with Choice Home Warranty. I signed a 6 year contract for the best plan because they were apparently #1. A year later when I file my 1st claim I find out they don't cover products that have developed rust/corrosion. There is no way an A/C unit, washer, and water heater will not develop rust. Now I am being told I need to write a request to review the claim which will take even longer to potentially get my A/C repaired. My tenant is now without A/C in the Texas heat and I can't even tell her when or if it will be covered. This is terrible customer service. On top of all that I have yet to receive a call from Choice Home Warranty. I am only allowed to type back and forth with an automated system. Clearly this is not the service from a #1 company. I do not recommend them.

My dishwasher needed repairing and the tech came out and it was determined that is was more cost effective to replace than repair. Choice offered $246 for me to purchase a replacement. This is approximately 1/3 of the cost. I asked them to order one and that's not an option. I am totally dissatisfied with choice and would recommend this company.

Prompt response. My unit stopped working late Thursday night, submitted repair request that was answered on Friday a.m., tech from AM AC Service, (Jose **), came out on Saturday. Part wasn’t available (parts store was closed), and wouldn’t be available until Tuesday, (Monday was a holiday). He was back on Tuesday three hours earlier than stated. Was very happy with him, did a great job.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. I submitted a claim for our air conditioner that wasn’t working. After being told the technician would arrive between 11-3 and the technician not there I asked Choice if they had any more information on when they may arrive and was told different things from different service reps from choice. The technician did arrive around 6pm and looked out our system and informed me we had a leak in the air conditioner. They submitted this to choice and recommended a leak detection to further evaluate. Choice denied the leak detection and cited possible rust or corrosion. They did not want to cover the system due to the suspected rust or corrosion.
I called and spoke to a representative who assured me a case manager would call me back within 5 minutes. They did not call me back and when I called again the help center was closed. I appealed the claim and was assigned a case manager. I set up a 15 minute phone call with the case manager through the email they emailed me to set up a phone call. They never called me for the meeting I had set up through their system. I also tried to call the case manager 3 times with no answer or response to the subsequent email I sent to case manager and other case manager on the email. It’s now been 6 days since I submitted the claim and haven’t heard anything from choice. I will absolutely never use their business again and will inform everyone I know to stay away from doing business with them. I am still holding out hope that they will make things right but I am not expecting much. I cannot reiterate enough how dissatisfied I am with Choice Home Warranty.

We purchased a three year warranty about a year ago. We called them for the first time today because our A.C. quit. We have had other Home Warranties over the years and they were great!! I have to say that I didn't read all of the exclusions in the Choice contract, before purchasing. I thought they were all pretty standard. Well, I read it this morning and it seems that they don't cover much of anything. Nothing on our repair is covered and we are now on the hook for a new A.C. system. I will be canceling and going with another company. It's shameful how little they cover!

I recently purchased a policy from a competitor. I called them to ask some questions a day later and the person I spoke to took my info and said I’d get a call back. I didn’t receive the call and I again called in again and was told the same thing. A couple days later and still no return call. I’m thankful that I learned about their poor customer service before I really needed their help. I cancelled the policy and shopped for a new company to deal with. Choice is very highly rated and I received very good customer service and what I feel to be very good pricing. I hope I never need their assistance but if I do I believe they will be there for me.

I first called CHW on Friday 9/3/21 to report that my AC unit was down and needed help because my little grandkids were staying with us and it was 112 degrees in Phoenix. I was told that it normally took 24 hrs for a response. On Saturday, I received an email informing me of my tech appointment for Tuesday, 9/7 between 7am and 11am. I called the tech, told him about the fact that my grandkids nor my wife and me could sleep upstairs, he indicated that because it was Labor Day weekend, CHW would not cover it and it would cost me at least $120 for the service call + the repair cost. I decided to wait until the appointment time. I'm extremely disappointed that we had to wait 4 days to resolve our AC problem. This is not responsible customer care.

I had a couple of issues with my HE dryer. It was very easy to set up the claim online. I do wish they had an "other" under the problem category as one of the problems I had did not fit. However, I was able to explain the issue in the comments section. The claim process was fast and the technicians who came to correct the problems were professional and courteous. If Choice had approved the part purchase the same day the repair tech came, we would have hot water today-CHOICE DID NOT! It means as old people we have NO HOT WATER for a total 10 DAYS. Customers are not #1! We want to know why we have to wait until you ship the part to replace the hot water heater when the technicians could have purchased it nearby.

Called in on 9/7/21 at 7:25 a.m. to report problem. Got an email with the name of the company (Certified Electrical Systems) who would send out their technician. The tech arrived, fixed the problem and was finished by 11:35 a.m. (four hours after I called in). Amazing! He was courteous and professional.

Just moved into a new house and found out that the dryer and freezer were not working. On the positive side, the dryer was fixed properly and quickly, hence thank you. The freezer is part of a side-by-side Sub-Zero refrigerator. On the positive side, you sent a competent technician fairly soon and he diagnosed the problem. Then, you offered an appliance replacement for ~10% of the amount of a new similar appliance. Obviously, this is frustrating, I just want the freezer repaired. It was even more frustrating that it took me over a week to be able to talk to the case manager despite daily emails and voice mails. Certainly not happy, still hope you fix this and just repair the fridge (it is fixable).

Orlando came out to check our a/c which was blowing hot air. He was friendly, fast and thorough. Even though it was blazing hot he was able to get our ac fixed within 2 days. Which was wonderful bc we needed a new fan motor. Overall great experience!

This has been a difficult experience. They refused to accept what the tech found wrong and the fact that the washer requires more to fix than replace. So far I am still without a washer and waiting for someone to act in the best interest of the customer. Either repair the washer or replace it, just do something!

This review is strictly regarding Choice and not the service contractors. I have used choice for several years now paying them every month without needing to use them. I have recently had issues with my AC unit so the AC guy had to come out several times to finally resolve the issue and now all of a sudden my service call fee went from $60 to $85 supposedly to be able to cover more to benefit me. We now had a plumbing issue, the plumber came out and fixed what he thought was wrong with it but said he was going to leave the ticket open because if it doesn’t work then he will need to come out and open the wall to try and find the leak.
So very next morning a choice employee called me asking me questions as if I am a plumber and said oh so the problem is a grout and seal issue then. Like I know! Then I get an email stating that grout and seals are not covered under my plan so they denied the claim. I would not recommend choice they will gladly take your money but when it is time to fix an issue they will do their best to get out of it.

I am a realtor and I bought a five year contract with you and you have not had to pay out one dime! There is always a reason that you don't cover the problem. What is a warranty good for? When something breaks you would like someone to come out that day or the next.... Even if it falls on a weekend or holiday. A home with 100 degree weather out is not so pleasant... So what I am seeing is that the policy is only good for a few specific items and if they break down only on a workday. As a realtor I would NEVER recommend your policy! So, I paid for five years for what??? What a waste of my money!

CHW has sent out some nice technicians over the years but this gentlemen went over and beyond to get our issue resolved. Normally they come in and run in and out. When he saw there was an issue in our lines that would not only cause this to occur again but possibly be dangerous. He ensured he got down to the root of the problem. That’s a sign of not only good stewardship but character and integrity which is hard to find in many these days.
