From when I submitted my claim to when the technician came out, it was less than 24 hours! Once he got here, he was also thorough in the inspection of and documenting the issue. Now is the hard part of the process - waiting to see how it all plays out.

This was the third item I have used this warranty on, the response time was a little faster. It only took 8 days from reporting the issue to the technician showing up to evaluate the problem, this is an improvement over the last 2, but still a little long. Once evaluated CHW did respond quickly just a few hours with their plan to take care of the issue, provide a gift certificate to replace my freezer, 2 days later (over the weekend) it has not arrived yet.

Barb with Alpha property services provided excellent communication about service visit. Visit scheduled within 24 hr of claim submission. Replaced seal on my toilet and plumber told me not to use till next day, which I did. But my toilet is still wobbly and when they unstopped my main line the sewage backed up into my showers and tubs which I didn’t notice till next morning.

Thank you Choice Home Warranty to your quick response to my A/C issue. The company assigned arrived on time and was able to determine why my A/C was not working as expected. He also provided other recommendations and made a f/u call after the fix to make sure it was working.

Verify dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty itself not the tech. The tech that service me was very professional and did a great job once he finish working thru and jumping thru all the long phone calls with Choice Home Warranty Customer Service dept. It took me from June to September to get my issue resolved. The first tech that was assigned never showed up and then you reassigned it to the same tech and still no show then it was assigned to Exquisite Plumbing that did complete the job. I don't think I will be renewing my service at the end of the year. You should have more accessible plumbers in the area as well as make the process a little less complicated.

As you know you found a reason not to fix our A/C. I would not recommend Choice for anything!!! You do everything to find a reason to not fix anything. The rules are in your favor not the consumer. We are done with you.

I put in a service call on Sunday evening. The next morning, I received a call from the AC company that was assigned to the call, the service person was at my house that afternoon and fixed the problem immediately. I was very pleased with the whole process.

We've filed four claims so far. Results have been just left of average. One tech knew nothing about the situation so he was no help and claim was never resolved. We dropped it. 2nd was air conditioning. It was handled in timely manner and techs were great. Third was a plumbing issue that took 4 months to resolve and 3 companies. First two would not do the work because they said they couldn't get paid by Choice. It is great to have peace of mind with a warranty but not when it takes a lot of jumping through hoops to get a claim resolved.

Had an issue with a water leak around my toilet. However, it took a couple of days to receive service. The recommendation from the service person was acceptable as Choice did not cover my issue per contract. Although it took a couple days, I have been able to get the problem fixed by another plumber.

Tech came out the same day I called and said it was the motherboard. I asked if he was going to fix it at the time but he said he needed to get approval from Choice first. Why can't they call at the time they find the problem, contact Choice of the problem and get it fixed when they are at the site? I asked him when he was going to return and he couldn't give me a firm day or time. I have a lot of food on ice hoping it doesn't thaw on me in the meantime.

Found my refrigerator was leaking both into the fridge and the freezer so I made my first claim to CHW to have it fixed. The process for making the claim was simple and only took a couple of minutes. They scheduled a tech within a day or so and the tech came out within a week and was able to ID and fix the issues causing the leaks quickly, all for the relatively affordable service fee CHW charges as anticipated. Overall a good experience and very glad I purchased the home warranty - saved me time finding and scheduling a tech and money on the repair.

The technician came over here with not a good intention. Asked where is the the level ground cleanout, I showed it to him and anyway he reported to CHW that there's no cleanout. So he came over here to do nothing.

Had several claims. All been taken care of with nice technicians. Had ac replaced, garage door fixed, electrical work done. Service was fast and done correctly. Saved money. It is a relief to have the security of folks that will take Care of you and fast.

I have been with CHW for a couple of years now. They are prompt when you have minor repairs, and you do not want the hassle of finding a repair person by yourself. I remember an uncomplicated oven thermostat repair, and on another recent occasion the ignition for the AC, both repaired by the technician who came out on the same day.
But God forbid you to have a major appliance repair, you will go through so much hassle and in the end really not get your money's worth. Over the last 3 years, I had several repairs: I had my clothes washer main electric board break down - that was not covered, because it was determined the damage happened was due to a power surge [which is apparently excluded somewhere in the small print]. Then my Frigidaire dishwasher started to leak, and it was felt repair was too expensive, so I got paid out a couple of hundreds of dollars, I do not remember the exact amount, but it only covered the faction of the cost of a new dishwasher.
The incident that finally will make me break up with CHW was the following: I have a build-in Subzero fridge/freezer unit that came with the house. As I realize now, this was apparently one of the most valuable possessions I owned. It was about 20 years old and then developed a leak. The very nice technician came out, determined what was the cause, and send his assessment to CHW. They told me that it was not worth repairing it and if I would accept a payout of $700 in the form of a LOWE'S e gift card. I said no, because a new build fridge freezer unit, at that weird size of 30 inches [that was the size that I needed to fit back into the space in my small alley kitchen], costs $8000 and up, and you can't get that at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc, because these are deemed designer appliances.
So I got on a call with the case manager, explained the situation, that I rather have it repaired, even if I would have to pay the price difference between the $700 and the actual repair cost, but to no avail. I did explain that I would happily buy a standard fridge if it would fit in my space, but they don't. Ultimately I negotiated that I would get $1000. And I had explained to the case manager, that I will need to get that new fridge at a special appliance store, only to get 4 weeks later [which is a rather long time in my opinion] the email link to the LOWE'S e-coupon! I was really maddened, send a message again, but was told that I had to accept the Lowe's coupon.
I had made the decision in the meantime, to buy a fridge only unit for the kitchen [I went with the cheapest unit, which was a BOSCH, and it still cost me $8800] and place a separate freezer into the basement. So I thought, well I can use the LOWE'S e-coupon for the freezer. So I went to Lowe's and Home Depot, only to learn that they are back-ordered or out of most fridge freezer models because they were all bought up in the pandemic. The earliest delivery would have been 6 months from now! Interestingly on WALMART and other appliance stores, there was not such a problem.
So what am I supposed to do with that LOWE'S e-coupon, didn't CHW check the availability of these appliances on their e gift card supplier? I complained to CHW online, no response. And I did check my insurance policy -there is no mention that payouts will be granted in form of an E-coupon of a supplier of CHW choice. Probably they get an additional kickback for confining their customers to LOWE'S.
I think these are very unsound business practices, for sure not helpful for a customer like me, who really just needed to have fridge repaired, and now I am stuck paying off my $8000 fridge [plus I had to pay for installation] and my new freezer. The small freezer unit I ultimately bought on AMAZON. And I have a useless $1000 e-coupon from Lowe's sitting on my desk at home. So I made the calculation in my head, that all my appliances are new at this point, and if anything were to break down, I rather find a reliable and personable appliance repair service, that I will use from now on. And for my AC and heater/plumbing system, I bought excellent rated coverage with our local Gas and Electric company.

Technician worked with my schedule. Was responsive with messaging, polite (offered to remove shoes. :) He was on time and on early end of window. Diagnosed problem in a short time, ordered parts and scheduled repair within an hour. No repair done yet, but will be happy to give another 10 when work is complete. Choice Warranty fee was $85. Was $60 last I used them. That caught me off guard, but not a reflection on technician.

Five year old electric cooktop range, lower oven lost power second time. First tech replaced board, second tech was a electrician, stated ordered new board. Choice warranty cancelled that second claim after charging $60.00 service fee, advising tech was not an appliance tech, sent new tech for additional $60.00 service charge. At this point we have $180.00 invested in service charges. Choice Warranty decided to replace the unit. Choice Warranty sent e-mail advising $371.00 gift card will be sent in 30 days for the replacement. No other options explained or given. The original cost of the oven was $2500.00. Do not agree that the $371 gift card is fair under the Choice Warranty policy. No actual verbal communication with a Choice Warranty rep was made to explain our options of replacement only e-mail. Poor customer service.

Almost a week and we still don’t have anyone contacting us for pool repair. That means we are wasting precious summer days for swimming. We’ve tried getting our own contact and reimbursement but that didn’t work out well because you still delayed expecting them call first for approval and delaying our payment.

Called in work order on my toilet that is clogged. Everything went well placing the order. Waiting for a repairman to call me and set an appointment for him to come and do the repair. I was told it would take about 24 hours for a repairman to be assigned.

I had a water line break sometime overnight. Called in the morning to have a service tech out to my home since I had no water. I was told someone would be out within 24 hours. I received an email saying a tech would arrive on Wednesday. So I was suppose to wait 4 plus days without water??? Told the dispatcher that was unacceptable. She said, "You can find your own company and be reimbursed." I find my own company, called to ask for the form against I will get paid back for the service. They have to wait and escalate the call. I had a tech here to do the work and could not wait for a form, which I still have not received. I paid the company that actually came out and did the work instead of me waiting for 4 days for your tech. I would like to get my money back. That is why I purchased the home warranty from your company. Now I think that was a mistake.

I requested two appliances to be repaired. Finally, we got a repairman came for a appt. He checked over both appliances and said he didn't know if we should get paid for them or fix them. Our preference would be to get them fixed. I have heard nothing as of yet.

They all rely on complex and deceptive legal jargon to make sales and screw customers!! Hope all readers of this get the picture and save your money and invest to meet future repair needs!! On August 20, 2012 I reported my refrigerator was broken. Several days passed and I had not heard from CHW. I called to ask when my repair was scheduled. The customer service agent told me they could not find a repairman, but I could hire a repairman and CHW would reimburse me. I told the agent I didn't know any repairmen. I made numerous calls, but to no avail. Then I received an email from CHW to notify me of a service appointment scheduled for September 10, 2021. I had to wait 22 days for my refrigerator to be fixed. I am appreciative that my refrigerator is fixed. But, I feel waiting 22 days is unacceptable. I paid the $65.00 service call fee. The cost of the compressor was covered, but the other parts that had to be replaced were not covered.
I purchased CHW because the advertisement stated, WE FIX IT OR REPLACE IT. Well, CHW fixed my refrigerator, but I endured a 22 day wait, additional expenses for parts that were not covered and all my food had to be thrown away which includes all the meat in the freezer, all the condiments in the refrigerator, milk, liquids, fruits and I am a diabetic so of course my insulin was in the refrigerator. The insulin alone was hundred of dollars. ALL OF THIS WITHOUT ANY COMPENSATION.

My claim was placed on 08/16/21, I was notified a claim placed that day by e-mail. After a week the next email informed me that they hadn't found anyone to come check out / fix issue reported. It was 09/17 when a technician finally arrived to check out and repair issue. I find that living not 20 miles from a major city that CHW has only 1 service person to handle calls and address customer reports. Taking a month to come check out a issue that I reported and my contract states it is a covered item and I'm told it may not be covered because they may refuse is completely unacceptable and disheartening. I'm not happy regarding this service call. The person doing repair I have no issue with, but overall I expected better.

The customer service is not very good. They could care less how long it takes to get your repairs done. I had to wait 2 weeks to finally get a tech to show up to get my AC repaired. The first one never showed up and never returned calls but Choice says, "Sorry we still have to wait and give the tech another chance." Poor customer service.

They answered promptly and took care of our leak. I had to make another claim for the drywall repair and again they answered promptly and will be sending out someone to take care of that. The only thing is I have to pay 2 co-pays one for the plumber and one for the drywall repair. (The repair is to repair the hole the plumber made).

Technician was on time...polite..very quiet....stated that he was ordering parts and we would be informed if repairs are approved. Since then, we have been informed that repairs have been approved and we have received an appointment date. We are pleased with the service so far. Awaiting repair service to see if the stove and oven will be repaired satisfactorily.

I filed my claim through the automated system by phone. When I called back later, I was told that an appointment was made for September 24. I told the representative that was unacceptable as I had a current leak & was having to empty a bucket of water every few hours. She gave me the number of the plumber assigned in my area. I was familiar with that company so I called them with my SOS. They were able to have the plumber come in about an hour. They came & fixed the leak promptly. I was grateful for their prompt response.

We have been mostly satisfied with Choice except for one interaction that is still not resolved. We need a repair on our built in fridge. It is a 48 inch built in. Choice is saying they won’t do the $900 (approximately) repair but instead are offering us around that amount to purchase a new unit. Although, everyone I have spoken with in claims knows you can’t purchase any built in, much less one our size for anywhere close to that. Your policy states you will replace it with a like product and you are not doing that here. We don’t even want a new fridge so none of this is making sense or honoring your contract. All other dealings have been good but this one is very confusing.

Opening a claim was fast and easy using the Choice Home Warranty website. Technician came 2 days later and found the issue. I guess 2 days is good so now we are waiting 4 more days counting the weekend for the technician to fix the A/C. The Technician was very nice and shared some good knowledge with me. I feel he will do a good job once he returns to fix the A/C.

Very bad customer service. I will not recommend this company. They said they cover items and it's not true. Made two claims and didn't cover neither. They made me pay two deductibles for nothing. I had to fix my own ac myself.

Once a vendor would take the job all went well. Your first vendors were multiple no show. The people that showed up were good. They were thorough and made certain all was good. My son lives there and is disabled.

Year 2020 my larger unit broke over a period when the heat was unbearable. I made numerous attempts to contact CHW. Eventually when I reached them they could not attend to my needs. They claim they were too busy and gave me the go ahead to contact a AC Company to come out and check the unit. The unit was broken and I emailed the invoice to CHW. I waited 2 days later and made a decision to replace the irreparable unit. CHW dropped the ball on me. I paid $7500.00 for the new unit. About a week ago I advised CHW my 2nd unit was not working. They sent out an Agent couple days later and was advised the unit was leaking Freon. CHW again denied my claim. It is now apparent to me that this company is a SCAM. If they are not then they should agree to compensate me for a portion of the bill.

I was disappointed to learn you will not cover the part, control knob, because “this physical damage is no the result of normal wear and tear.” I believe you are very wrong. The part broke as a result of simply normal wear and tear for the past eight (8) years. I would like for you to change your decision and hone my claim.

I had the same tech. Both times l was not happy with his/her work. Only rodded one toilet. Said every thing was good. He didn't check any other toilets. Hot water heater wouldn't come on. l was late getting there so the tenant let him /her in. He claims the wires were missing. That isn't true. They were there and sad to say l believe he removed them. No one else has worked on it. How I'm going to have to buy a new water heater?

The technician came out in just over 24 hrs after reporting the problem. He was really quick to diagnose the problem and fixed it promptly. He also patched 3 holes in the ducts. My house was cool again in about 2 hours.

Had to report my electrical outlet partially burned when I had my car plugged into an heavy duty extension cord. Only half of the outlet works now and I need it replaced. The lady was helpful and I hope we will be satisfied with the contractor.

I ended up paying him $305 for his work as he did the "repair" on what he though was wrong but warranty company decline.
They declined to have a 2nd opinion and I ended up hiring my own, who diagnosed the problem as fan motor (NO LEAK), replaced parts and has been working since then!!
I paid my contractor $1099 for the actual diagnosis and repair. At the end of the day, I paid to the warranty for the coverage and ended up spending $1404 for repairs, which they are liable for.
I provided all the proof, w/ diagnosis, to them and they still declined their responsibility and didn't take corrective actions.
Considering they are trying to protect their contractor and screwing customers, I have decided to IMMEDIATELY cancel my warranty with them.
I will be surprised if they will ever agree to their mishandling of this issue and/or reimburse me.
Original review: 9/17/2021If you have an issue and have to escalate, and if it is an urgent matter, you cannot talk to decision makers in a timely fashion. Zero accountability and their goal is to make every effort to not to cover you. I bought my warranty in 12 July '21, was effective on 12th Aug '21. On 10th Sept tenant reported A/C is not cooling enough. The tech came to diagnose and found 2 issues initially: leak of refrigerant and capacitor went bad. Now the compressor went bad (may be all due to refrigerant leak). Warranty declined the claim IMMEDIATELY and I had no one to with to sort out the rationale until 5 days after that incident. The reasonings are:
1. The a/c was not in a good working condition when the policy was in effect.2. The leak could have developed "28" days prior to policy in effect.
According to them if you lose more than 15% of refrigerant then it must have been going on for a long time. How long, they cannot say? Even the contractor cannot say for how long the leak has been going on. Choice Home doesn't even know the actual amount of refrigerant used in my unit (because tech couldn't figure it out). They asked me to prove it to them that the a/c has been working fine and then they can re-consider.
How the heck can I prove that? Am I expect to get all appliances inspected and give them a proof before signing up with them? 7 days after the fact, no a/c repair and I've decided to get it fix it myself and kick this company to the curb. This has become a number (days) game for them and just trying to avoid responsibility. They are cheap but guess what, good luck with repairs. Never EVER going back to them.

Whenever we try to get anything done with your program it's more than frustration! Your phone personnel are foreign and don't understand or communicate well on top of having to listen to either kids, chickens or dogs in the background. Choice Home Warranty assigned my problem to an honest and good plumber from Knight Plumbing which saved me a significant amount of money. Loose bolts were tightened to stop the leak from the toilet. A previous plumber had recommended buying a new toilet.

I just purchased this policy. I requested someone to come out to clear a drain in my master bathroom shower. The technician was out for six hours and now the problem is worse. I called the case manager after it said I couldn’t speak with someone for an entire week and he refused to give any assistance. The technician simply wants to try a different way of snaking the drain. I would like some assistance on how to get this done. This is terrible customer service.

This week was a hectic week with doctors appointments for members of the family and trying to fit time we were available to be here and The Plumbers busy time. We called on Monday and it was going to be Friday before schedules would work. I had a call from A Valdez and Sons Plumbing Wednesday nite about 9:45 and he was in my area and said he could stop by. I said OK. He arrived and was very professional. He cleaned it out and was ready to go by 10:15. That means he knows what he is doing and a good plumber. If I have any plumbing needs in the future I would certainly use him and I would refer him to anyone needing a plumber.

He stayed here several hours and even had to come back twice. Everything is working great and appreciate all his efforts. Choice Home Warranty did not satisfy my claim to my expectations. A technician was sent out, did what we thought was the repair that he told us was needed, that CHW approved, turns out that the repair that the first technician made placed a bad repair part into our refrigerator. CHW sent out another technician after we called and let them know that our refrigerator was still broken and that technician told us that the part that the first technician put in must have been faulty. CHW warranty after having approved the first repair then tells us that the part in question has a ten year warranty and that they won’t approve the repair work with the second technician even though they already paid for the first technicians bad work and misdiagnosis. Over the years that I’ve been with CHW I’ve been very happy with their service until now.

They gave me a feedback of what they discovered and promised to inform Choice of their findings. The former technicians did not open any of the appliances. The initial call was made 8/31/21. Range is still not fixed. Tech was punctual and diagnosed the problem. A part was ordered. A USED part came. Tech could not fix the range. Another part was ordered. The scheduling, the technician, all get 5stars from me but Choice Home warranty get a 1-2 star as a company because it seems to me that if you file a claim it gets denial first, drag the claim process, prove the world to them to get issues resolved. I will not renew when it's time. You have the born on date of failed appliance over a 1 hr old. It does have a manufacturer's warranty. Get it fix. Stop prolonging. I pay for coverage...it's out of warranty...fix it.

AC tech was great. Claims rep pushed tech repeatedly to find a reason to deny the claim. As is the case with all claims I have made. It is normal protocol for Choice to pay/approve a small capacitor on an ac, but not a major claim on a washer or dryer. Choice then disputes a claim replacement on a system and pays 25-50% of the replacement cost. They use the interpretation of how the policy reads to reduce the claim payout. More so, it takes very long, a lot of time to navigate through the claim and in the process can never speak to someone in management, upper management or in the executive office to discuss the particulars of the claim. They hide behind the claims rep and their hands are tied too. You asked for a description. Sorry to give you the facts. Regards.

However, with a couple of previous incidents it took forever to get parts and get my appliance repaired. This time was different, the repairman came and attempted to repair my ice maker, the attempt did not repair it. He wanted to know if the following day I did not have ice. Despite quickly responding to the claim and providing a qualified and capable technician, the customer service representative was less than transparent and helpful. I got an email saying that I had to accept the “non-covered” costs in order to proceed. When I called to inquire as to why those costs weren’t covered or what was being covered and what that amount was, I was told that they couldn’t tell me and in order to talk to a case manager I had to decline the costs. All I wanted was a description of what was being covered and why things weren’t being covered. They told me they couldn’t tell me that.

Air conditioner stopped because it was determined to be a leak in the coil. Choice says it was excluded because it was caused by "rust", but according to the Architecture and Design documentation copper does not rust. So our claim is so far denied .... We are suffering under Florida heat day and night while our appeal is deliberated.. NO, I am not happy about CHOICE Warranty ...

I have been choice warranty customer for past 5 years, I really did not have chance to use them for past years as I did not have any breakdown, the moment my A/C wasn't working, I called them and they rejected the claim, even though the vendor felt this is something they should have covered. Our Toilet was leaking from the tank. I called Choice is schedule service. Within 24 hours I got a call from the plumbing company and scheduled the appointment. Jason from the contracted plumbing company, was courteous, and on time! Had the parts with him and Fixed the problem. Was on his way in 30 minutes!!

I had my doubts about CHW. I had never put in a claim before. I tried calling them because I didn't know the area that had the trouble. The issue could have been one of three things. I couldn't get through to a live person and the automated system was not helpful. I filled out the claim online and in the morning when I got up, there was a message that a service person would be coming. Michael called me to let me know when he was going to be there. He was there on time. He knew the problem right away and took care of it. I would use CHW again. Thank you, Michael.

I submitted the claim Sept 6. Today is sept 15, still no repair. This is ridiculous. I payed the CHW year fee policy, trusting and hoping better customer service. I been a long term CHW customer. I signed up for the 3 year policy offer, which I totally regret.

I’ve had Choice Home Warranty for the last two years. The first year was as part of the purchase and the reason I renewed is because it makes so much sense to have insurance for every appliance rather than buying separately, but also they respond quickly, their customer service is great. I’ve had several things repaired, my AC replaced and so far I haven’t met with a promise that they haven’t fulfilled, they use reputable local dealers to service and I’m just really glad that I found out about this! I think it’s awesome because it takes a lot of the warranty for first time buyers or even for experience buyers people who bought more than house. I am recommending it to friends and I am planning to renew.

A little disappointed. First we were assigned a technician who couldn't come for two weeks. We requested a re-assignment and you sent a different technician from a different company. However, he wasn't told what the problem was and did not bring a belt that could have fixed the problem. He had to make a diagnosis and contact you to approve it and we are still waiting for their return. So we're not yet happy campers

David was assigned to our A/C issue—the fan in our HVAC stopped working the night before. David was incredibly professional and friendly. He helped explain all of the specific things I shared that I had noticed the night before when the issue showed up. Not only is our HVAC back up and running, but I feel like I understand how it works much better. Would happily go back to David with DTY if we needed service again.

Took two service calls to decide the microwave was broken and beyond repair… Tried to recap two payments for this one at 60. And the second at 85. When I called in to explain it is the same problem the agent had no idea how to check it out and wanted me to look up all the numbers myself. Put me on a 10 minute hold. Spoke broken English so I couldn’t understand him so I hung up. Now I’ve been without a microwave for 3 weeks waiting on my credit or gift card … Not happy as I’ve paid on this service for years and finally used it and this is what I’ve gotten so far. 0. The only plus was Sears' service was good so maybe I don’t need you guys and will just go with them!

Happy with the plumber although it took bit longer. Choice should schedule little early as it's a plumbing issue. The approval didn't take long though, happy with approval process. Scheduling need to be taken care off need based.

The tech was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing although there was no company behind him to check out. He seemed to be a bit of a sole practitioner driving 60 and 70 miles between appointments. I don’t know how Choice Home Warranty picks their people but I worry that some may not have the background to do the work. This guy was good but there was no no way to check out him in advance because there’s no company, just him. Much worse than this, Choice Home Warranty actually denied my claim for a totally arbitrary reason, saying that my air conditioning unit was not in well-maintained condition. Not so! I have had it serviced prophylactically during Covid And have never had a problem with it before it started making a grinding noise.
Some months ago I signed a three-year warranty agreement with Choice and had paid upfront. I was absolutely flabbergasted by them telling me they had rejected my claim. After several calls They finally cleared things up, apologized and told me I had no responsibility. I would not sign up for them again as their policy of not fixing things that in their arbitrary opinion “are not in good working order” is absolutely unacceptable for a home warranty company.

We just signed up for Choice Home Warranty. Marc ** was great. He answered all of our questions and we were satisfied with the choice we made. The only suggestion would be to give people time to review the coverage information. I was literally on Google researching when Marc first called. I was not in position to talk then but I did reach back out with him to proceed. That was a little aggravating but I understand sales also. I look forward to a long relationship with CHW.

The salesperson was informative and gave me a lot of options if I wanted to extend for 3 or even 5 years. I told him that while in our former home in Texas we had a home warranty policy paid for by our own agent. She paid $750.00 for it and it was a waste of her money. Therefore, we want to see what type of response my wife and I will get if some covered item needs a repair or replace.

My garbage disposal stopped working. My husband was in the hospital recovering from a triple bypass. I called Choice and they sent out a technician who also had bypass surgery and he was friendly & caring to share some helpful hints about my husband's recovery. So glad he came & shared his experience as well as fixed our garbage disposal.

I was encouraged to shop around and assured that I can make a hassle free cancellation of my policy within 30 days. Within a few hours I found a much better warranty company and immediately called back to request a cancellation. After being on hold for several hours between three different phone calls I finally was able to speak with a manager in the resolution center to cancel my policy. He assured me my policy was canceled, I would receive a full refund, and he would immediately send me an email confirmation stating such. The next day I received a call from Choice Home Warranty asking me how great the service was. They also told me my policy had never been canceled. So again I waited on the phone for a combined total of three hours, I was disconnected four times, just to be told the resolution center was closed by that time. I wouldn’t recommend the high-pressure or dishonest sales tactics to anyone.

I submitted a claim for repair. It was not honored because they requested my initial inspection of the house and within that inspection it said it was inoperable. That was incorrect because currently the unit still blows heat and air however it does not get as cold as it should. I feel like this company does not honor what the contract states. I will not recommend them to anyone.

Not pleased at all. This was the first claim I placed. After the technician came and took photos and submitted them to Choice Warranty, the claim was quickly denied. I received an email about denial. I signed up for 6 years. Hopefully, my experience will get better. If not, I will ask for a refund.

The garbage disposal that was replaced, has started to leak again. I have called the company and they are sending someone to check it out on Thursday 9/16/21. This is the second Disposal changed in less than a month and half. The first company did not answer the calls. I think they are not there anymore. I had to pay $60.00 each time.. I hope that they can come and fix it, this time. I cannot be paying $60.00 each Time. I feel that My account should be credited for $60.00 for the second disposal visit. Please let me know if that is possible. I have referred a lot of friends to Choice. I will let you know after they come to fix it on Thursday. If it is possible to tell them to replace it with a good Brand one.

Just bought a house and warranty moved with us from old house and I'm glad it did as we developed a leaking disposal. I opened a claim Saturday via Choice website and had a Monday appointment within an hour. Plumber replaced disposal and resolved issue in less than an hour for service call fee only. Great value. Great Service. Had similar experience with an ice maker at old house. Peace of mind is priceless.

I have been happy with the quick response to my needs, but the repair person doesn't always communicate well. I was to have a repair on my refrigerator on September 1st. I tried calling the repair company 4 times and finally called Choice directly on September 7th only to find out the part is not in yet. A response to one of my prior messages (left for the repair company) would have saved me a lot of frustration. Open communicate works much better! Just let the Consumer know what's going on, not just don't show up and never return their calls. I think Choice is a good company but maybe they should look into different repair companies as their partners. I will probably renew my contract.

All it took was a phone call to get the repair started. CHW took over from that point, scheduled a repairman, who came in a reasonable amount of time (2 days) to complete the repair. Definitely recommend using CHW for all your home repairs. Thank you CHW!

No hassle repair of furnace. Did my claim online, which was fast and convenient. A service representative called me within 2 hours and the issue was fixed within 5 days. There is a small fee of $45.00 but beyond that I felt the warranty paid for itself with one visit.

I had a leak in the faucet in our main tub. You sent a repairman and he said the whole tub had to be removed. You rejected the claim on the grounds of it not being of normal use. I had another repairman visit and he fixed the tub leak within a hour.

Updated on 09/26/2021: They were friendly and on time. Knew what they were doing. Had to come out again and fixed the filter problem. The owner called and apologized for the inconvenience that our filter didn't work. The guy was very knowledgeable and nice.
Original Review: Had no problem getting my fridge to get looked at. They kept in touch with all the way and told me when he'd be back to fix it with the parts. I was very impressed. I've never used it before but it was easy and the monthly payment isn't bad.

The contractor was fine. The process to get someone out took weeks. Then I get an email saying Choice will replace my broken washer. Then you offer me $343 to replace my washer saying that is the average amount. I spoke to the case worker who told me that was the most, that was fair, that there was no one else to talk to. She said I had to take this or nothing. It was an awful experience and I am so unhappy and sad. I feel I wasted money on this policy and company.
I am a real estate agent and had spoken so highly of Choice to my brokerage and team. I will be writing them an updated letter and letting them know to make sure not to use Choice, because they are unfair and mislead their customers. I begged the person awful. CHOICE to help more with replacing the washer. The coldness was so memorable. I felt trapped and worthless. The experience was awful. When I felt dejected and thought just give up. I decided to just take the terribly small and unfair amount of 343 because there is a sale now that ends in two days. However, I find out that it can take 30 days to get the gift card. I will be without a washer for months. Your policies are unfair, your customer service is not helpful. The whole experience left me dejected.

Technician that came to house for repair was nice. The three different claim reps at Choice Warranty we dealt with about our replacement were not helpful and low balled us on replacement value of our dishwasher. Terrible experience and we have two homes with two Choice warranty plans. Our big mistake. Complete three week run around and they would not consider our thoughts on replacement value. We feel we were misguided when we purchased plan and even reading Choice Warranty booklet we felt they did not $ replace our quality of dishwasher. We feel you should look at the claim and have someone call us. We are extremely dissatisfied with Choice’s decision on claim. I was with CHOICE HOME WARRANTY when I lived in Virginia. My Husband and I moved into an apartment when we first came to Georgia, so I no longer needed CHOICE HOME WARRANTY. When we purchased a home, I called them up to see if they service Georgia area and they did, so I started with them once again. My AC went out on Friday and they were there on Sunday to fix it. The serviceman was not there no more than 20 minutes and he had it up and running once again. I paid the service fee and that was it. This company is the best company for you to have with any of your appliances, electrical, plumbing, and whatever you may have problems with. You pay a monthly fee each month and when something messes up just call them to file a claim and they will send someone out to fix the problem. You pay them the service fee and CHOICE HOME WARRANTY COVERS THE REST. BEST SERVICE I EVER RECEIVED.

The company that serviced my hvac was really nice and they were able to arrive on such short notice. The phone number given to me through Choice Warranty wasn't accurate though. I just googled their company and was able to find it quickly. I would definitely recommend them or request them again.
