Had an A/C problem. Submitted a claim on the website and within a day had a response and an appointment with a technician but the appointment was a week out. Called the technician to see if there was any possibility to get him out any sooner and was at my house 2 days later. Very satisfied with the service.

I had a leaking faucet that was running water down the pipe to under the house. Affordable Plumbing Solutions responded with urgency and earlier than scheduled, replacing the faucet and in less than 1 hour my problem was fixed. The technicians were professional, knowledgeable and committed to excellence. I would recommend this company to anyone with a plumbing need.

The technician was very qualified and found the problem right away and even came a day earlier. He was friendly and trusted and the was in one hour. He replaced a board control in the arctic. I will recommend his company to my friend and neighbor.

We called to see if there was a dip in our sewer line and if so, would it be covered by our warranty. Your representative who answered the phone apparently did not understand English very well when were trying to explain what we needed. We wanted an evaluation of the sewer line done with a camera. The work order was not properly written and unclear to the technician. Consequently, he came unprepared and couldn't fulfill our request. Therefore, we feel we should be reimbursed by Choice Warranty for the $75 service call. Could someone who understands the question tell us whether or not we are covered, or, arrange to have the correct testing done to give us the accurate answer?

Thursday I made a claim to fix my AC, Friday the issue was perfectly solved, for such reasons I have 6 year warranty now, and had more than three years' warranty in the past with this company. I surely recommend Choice Home Warranty for all my friends.

We had 3 minor problems that need repairs. (Leaky shutoff valve, wash machine, and hot water heater) The days for repairs. 54 days (avg 18 days). It appears your contractor carry absolutely no parts. Trouble diagnosis to approval for repairs and return to fix is unbelievable. It should be mandatory that the contractor call from service stop instead of waiting whenever is convenient for them. They're at call, get the approval and order parts. I know there is at times a review might be required. Going without wash machine 42 days and still waiting hot water heater which could be 11 days (showers, washer, and boiling water to do other things) feels like I am 3rd world country. People are helpful and polite but that only goes so far. Barry **

The tech. was great BUT it took Choice 3 weeks to get a tech. Choice needs to do a better job getting techs. to respond to calls. I have two sinks in my kitchen so I was not in a bad way, I had an option.

I must be clear, the tech from Sassaman Inc. who finally rectified the problem for us was most thorough, efficient, professional and absolutely cordial. We would highly recommend him and his company to our peers. Choice Warranty however was a huge disappointment. We shouldn't have had to pay out 2 deductibles and a hotel room for 2 nights for this service while waiting an entire, highly stressful week to use our own facilities. I'm sorry to say we will most likely seek out another warranty company at the end of this contract as this is not the first time Choice Warranty has disappointed us.

At first I got a repair appt 2 weeks out. When I complained, they escalated and sent a repair man who was very good. He fixed the issue and I am very satisfied. I would have given 5 stars, but for the initial delay.

Choice opted to offer a settlement in lieu of repair of my clothes washer. I was told by Case Manager that the $343.00 offered could not be negotiated,,that was the only option I had, take it or leave it. I contracted with Choice to repair or replace items in my home that were not functioning properly. Now the only option given will not allow me to replace the washer with a like unit of similar size and functionality. I cannot replace the unit for less than $500. I explained this to the case manager, that, "Since you couldn't or wouldn't fix the unit, I have to replace it with your lowball offer and money out of my pocket." Your manager said they were not willing to pay for the repair or replacement as it was higher $ than you will spend to put me back to a point that I was at before the washer malfunction.
This is my first claim on this contract and I am less than satisfied. The company has not lived up to the high expectations touted when I signed up. As it stands now, I will likely not renew my contract when it comes up for renewal. To be fair to the case manager, she was polite, professional and explained very clearly about the offer and the policy about determining that. It did change the fact that I felt I was lowballed on this and Choice did not live up to its contract in an honest and fair manner. I realize that I am only one customer and my not renewing will have little effect on the company, but at this point I am not likely to give Choice a favorable rating if asked by anyone interested.

We had the same technician for my washing machine and now our dishwasher... Daniel M and he is the best! Polite, explains, knows his stuff! When I saw him coming in for the dishwasher... I said remember me (from my washing machine) and he said yes... I told him I was so glad to see him. He smiled. He makes the visit a good experience knowing it will get fixed...

Toilet would not refill after flushing. Contacted Choice Home Warranty and within a day had an appointment for the following Monday. I reached out to the plumber and asked if there was a possibility of moving up the visit, this was Thursday morning. He made no promises but if his schedule allowed he would contact me Thursday or Friday if he could make it sooner. Much to my happiness he was able to come out Thursday and fix it. Thanks to him and Choice Warranty.

While technician doing annual preventive maintenance, noted burned pipe. Assessment noted need for furnace replacement. Angry that Choice Warranty would decline my claim. I have policies on 2 houses. This is our Second denial. The previous was for an AC unit. I fully plan to discontinue both policies. Second denial.

I have been using these guys for about 3 years and so far so good. Have not had issues yet. The website make it easy to submit claims. Customer service team seems to be good and is able to answer questions when needed. The price is pretty good considering how much utilities can cost these days. It is great for rental properties so that all your stuff is covered.

The lady on the phone was exceptional. We have looked into other company programs and choose to go with Choice Home Warranty because it was explained better than some other Companies. These are the only words I know how to say about your company.

This company is a scam. They send someone out and twist their words to say that the reason your system failed was because of something YOU did or did not do!! Do not sign up for them!! IF REPAIRS ARE MORE THAN YOU PAID FOR THE WARRANTY they will reject it no matter what!!!

Good luck getting anything done...First line of defense is call center with no authority, hide behind authorization team and then case managers take the human element out. Called out due to our energy company saying our AC is running a lot after owning home for 3 months. CHW recommended tech which we paid a trip charge for showed up (in a car wearing gym shorts and a t-shirt) and then proceeded to cause our air conditioner to not work. Supposedly washed our AC unit with our hose (only reason I know is because he asked for s water spigot to us with the hose), we left for the weekend to return to a faulty AC unit not sending any cold air in.
Turns out after scheduling another tech, oh yeah and a service trip charge which we paid for and not CHW, the fan blades are broken. CHW denied this to the Tech company within an hour and Customer Service couldn't view when I call for hours and was told I'd be assigned a case manager. Never received that notification, called in and they gave me her name to set up a time to review Friday morning (happened on Monday).
After discussing with her, she was still not accepting any accountability to this. Agreed to pay $125 towards fan blades (1/2 the cost, but not really and actually still has labor plus half the cost so we spent $230). So fan blades got fixed and guess what, now a hole in one of the hoses (more than likely caused by a broken flying metal fan blade or tech #1) and CHW has also chosen to deny that claim as well and let the tech company know with no notification to me. Here we sit and hence the reason for this post. Maybe they will take a negative post a bit more serious and if not...I hope possible future CHW buyers can read this post and be informed.

Don't like the way he charged my credit card without my consent, First he mentioned that he need CC's detail as he need to get approval on price, so I mentioned clearly don't charge on my credit card without asking, he came back and directly asked for, "Where can I send you policy detail?" I was so upset to see he charged my CC without even asking - not professional.

Chris from icool a/c found two problems and corrected both and we are up and running again. One was a bad capacitor and the other was a plugged drain line. While I am very happy with the service provided by icool they are located over 66 miles from my home, I would like to see if Choice home warranty could find service tech support closer to my home, this is the second time I've had a repair job and both times they have been long drives and there are companies closer.

The 2 men on the phone with me were very professional and close the deal relatively quickly. They got me the best deal available and I am satisfied with the result. I like the extra coverages that have like on microwave, and $60 is reasonable, too bad not the low $45 it was before. But o can glad I am covered for next 6 years. Like the agent was very cool and got the deal done quickly over the phone.

One of the smartest purchases I made after moving into my newly built home was purchasing a home warranty. It has been 3 years now and all of the new-build warranties had expired. My microwave stopped working! I didn't realize just how often I used my microwave. I filed a claim online and a tech from The Appliance Squad arrived in a few days and "cured" my microwave. So happy I was covered with just a small fee! I will continue purchasing my home warranty when the present one expires!

If this is a review about the technician, we had an excellent experience. Choice Home Warranty on the other hand is trying to rip us off and charge us additional fees for no reason. Tech came out to work on A/C. 3 times. Got the unit working fine. 3 days later the house was back at 83 down and 85 up. He checked the freon and informed that I had a LEAK somewhere in the system. My warranty does not cover that. Spoke Dianna F. A new appointment has been scheduled. Waiting for callback. Tech is normally in a hurry but efficient. Timely, professional and courteous!!

I have three bad experiences with CHW and I beg you to read before purchasing:
1) My garage door broke and CHW scheduled an appointment with a company with 90% negative reviews on Google. The contractor took a $75 service fee and never returned. The company that eventually fixed my issue said CHW has knowingly sent that same technician to many homes and he took $75 and never returned at each.
2) My heater broke and CHW took over 8 hours on a Friday to tell me they weren't able to schedule an appointment. I was able to call my own company for reimbursement but CHW will not pay after hours or weekend fees. I had to suffer through -15 degrees weekend and call a company on the following Monday. I pleaded with CHW that my pipes were freezing the entire Friday and begged to be allowed to call my own company. "This is our process" was the response.
3) My water heater tank leaked all over my basement. I waited 8 hours for CHW to schedule an appointment with a "general contractor" in East St. Louis, IL. This contractor had no reviews, no website, and was not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. I told CHW I am not comfortable with this company to assess or fix a plumbing issue. It took CHW 6 additional hours to schedule an appointment with a construction company that was "permanently closed" according to their own Google page. My water heater tank was leaking this whole time and I pleaded with CHW to allow me to call a local, reputable plumber. After canceling this second appointment, CHW refused to reimburse me for calling my own company.

I waited 21 days to get the issue diagnosed. We 95 degree weather. The unit is so years old. The fins on the condenser are deteriorating due to weather. The coil leak is due to weather. Crooks. Don’t ever buy from them. Poor response time. Very few technician. Then they find a way not to pay.

I bought the home warranty to be free of worries when it comes to protecting home items. Water heater wasn't covered and had to purchase a new one and pay for installation/removal of old one. Took a week for someone to contact me on the details as to why the water heater wasn't covered. The conversation dropped and the rep never bothered calling back.

After speaking with a specialist regarding my refrigerator and describing what my concerns were. The specialist that was working for me came to the decision that my refrigerator needed to be replaced and she really exceeded my expectations! Kudos to her and Choice Home Warranty.

Choice is not covering a SYSTEM that is not working on my refrigerator that broke due to normal wear and tear. The ice maker system is not working correctly on my Kenmore refrigerator. The only way to fix this system is to replace the freezer door. The door is no longer being made. As I am understanding, Choice Home Warranty states very clearly that they cover systems that fail during to normal wear and tear. I guess this is not the case. The pictures show where the wire broke on my freezer side. Do not buy a policy from Choice. I wish I had not!

When I submitted my claim to CHW, I got a response that evening that a repairman would be out within 2 days at a specific time. I very pleased with that. However, the company that "contractually agreed" to come out on the day and time "they" scheduled didn't make it and rescheduled the next day. Now, I live in the real world, "stuff" happens. However, when your A/C goes out and your temp in your home is 90 degrees, tempers are already short. When "I" called the company, 2 hours after their scheduled period, (instead of them notifying me) that the "planned and agreed upon time" to come out at on specific day and time, could not be met and repair had to be rescheduled the following day, I was less than satisfied. Could I do anything? Sure, I could have fired the company, hired an emergency repair company, pay the enormous fee and repair cost, but I didn't.
In summary, CHW did their job, however the company that "purposed a specific day and time" to do the repair did not fulfilled their part in the plan, well you can guess why I am "satisfied". Perhaps if the company had called me to reschedule, and instead of sharing with me that "their local work had to completed first" and the "weather was moving in", you would not be reading this rather lengthy response.

CHW will do anything to deny your claim! Only use them 3 times and has been denied all 3 times! I think they are the worst. I have two ac units that quit working within 3 weeks of each other. CHW would not cover either!!

Within 24 hours of submitting a claim, Choice team usually sets the appointment. The technicians they send are very knowledgeable and provide many tips in maintaining the equipment. This time it was Oscar who came in and helped resolving my issues with refrigerator and dishwasher. Oscar is an amazing individual and a technician who knows his subject so well, that he took less than 30 minutes to resolve all issues. Amazing guy with a great attitude and professionalism.

I was unable to get enough information online so I decided to call. The good thing it was so fast. Not good, speaking with the agent was so weird. He seems to be in a hurry to finish the call. Like if he was my coworker answering my phone. No explanations about the policy, unable to make me feel confident. I decided to move forward with the policy because two months before I was in touch with another agent who explained very well all what I needed. Repairman was very friendly but went about his work as a responsible person. Would recommend him to friend. He knew exactly what the issue was with the oven, so he went about his job, pulling the range out from the wall to locate the igniter, and repaired the issue. Check the oven to be assured that it was repaired.

Agent told me the problem occurred before I was covered. How does she know? I’m having it fixed right now. The part in question is a negative pressure limit switch which was stuck. No way of telling when it stuck. All I know is it worked fine over last winter. It malfunctioned when I tried to use it this morning. My first experience with Choice has not been a good. I don't like the approval/disapproval process for my claim. I felt that it should of been part of the repair process and hence should of been covered. So not to delay from being able to use my shower I paid for the repair myself. I felt that I should not have to delay repair by consulting with a case manager.

Spoke to Yvette and Paula, CHW offered me a lousy $246 to replace my dishwasher, You CANNOT buy a dishwasher for under $350 to $400 (and that is for a cheap ** one). They would budge on the amount. This is ridiculous to pay for a policy and have them give you an amount that does not allow you to buy the cheapest Dishwasher out there. Your automated system is one of the worst I have experienced. The voice activated questions and answers now have me considering a change of companies. Having a sewer situation is not a good experience. When I was asked if the situation initially occurred not so much yesterday BUT a week age was ridiculous!! When I tried to get a LIVE person, I got bounced around once I mentioned that I had a complaint. Your technician (AAA Solutions) is great. The whole experience comes down to this. My ac went down on Sunday and won’t be restored to Monday a week later if I’m lucky. Let me be clear that the technician Kurt was great and kept me well informed but the holdup was all on you. My ac system is a older system and uses r-22 Freon and is very expensive around 150.00 lb. The main issue is that a leak was detected at the evaporator and CHW decided to not re charge it with R22 and only replace the evaporator. This of course puts the outdoor unit cost on me. An air conditioning unit is comprised of two different components. An inside piece and an outside piece. The warranty states it covers the air conditioning unit. What it really means is it only covers the inside piece because anything outside the house isn’t covered. This is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, because the only place to put the outside unit is outside. This is my first and last year with Choice!

Refrigerator After five weeks and four different repairman coming out replacing multiple parts in my refrigerator. My refrigerator still does not function properly. The problem has never been solved and Sears keeps putting parts into an old refrigerator. Now they’re telling me they can’t even get the parts they need. For some reason they refuse to admit that the refrigerator cannot be repaired so I can receive a new one with my choice warranty. This has been the worst experience of my life. I would never hire Sears to work on anything ever again.

The AC stopped cooling so called for a service technician. Santana of Arktikos was assigned. He showed up on time and was able to make a quick diagnosis. I stayed with him while he was making the repair and checking over the unit. He also found that the Freon needed a little top-off. I switched to Choice Home Warranty in June 2021 after a nightmare contract with a competitor. In reading reviews, folks had all positive to say with Choice. It's only September 2021, and I had to use them for a dishwasher issue. The gentleman sent was outstanding, professional and efficient. I also signed up for the 5 year plan due to the discount and my over 55 discount. My agent was very informative. This may sound horrible, and I apologize if it does. The call center is located in New Jersey, which I love. I can understand them. The call center with the other was overseas, and this is 100% on me, but I have trouble with accents if I'm not looking at the person. Also, I called the number for Choice and got a person...a real live person. When calling to inquire, ask for Sam. He was very helpful and getting me a contract going.

I send a claim to repair a dishwasher, a part was ordered to repair it. It about a month for the technician to get back and installed the part. Still it didn't repair it. I called again and was told that I had to submit another claim and pay $65.00 fee again because it was more than a month since the tech was at my house. Another tech was send. The Tech that he had to order another part. Choice called me and said the dishwasher had to be replaced (a 1 year 2 months old dishwasher). Choice offered me $246.00 to buy a dishwasher and pay for the installation (the installation alone cost $200.00). Choice supposed to be a veteran friendly company, that kind of friendship is a ripoff. I will not renew the contract when the time comes.

Why do you send these evaluations out before the job is done? After a 7-day wait, the technician came to my house yesterday to check on my non-working ice-maker. Because I had already melted the iceberg off of the ice maker with a hair dryer and lots of time, and dealt with the constant dripping for a couple of days, he was able to diagnose the problem, order the part, and be on his way in a few minutes. He was courteous and seemed competent.
I just had a repair done on this ice-maker around 6 months ago and had to wait for a re-conditioned part then. I was not given a new part to fix my ice-maker due to some limit you have for replacing parts, etc. Since then, my ice-maker has banged and made more noise than before and the ice has hung up on the top of the ice-maker to the point that I need to check it every time I see it's not filling up the ice hopper. It has been quite noisy. Now, I'm waiting another week for it to be fixed. I'm not quite satisfied with this company's service, so far.

I have a refrigerator that has a broken handle and bad seals. The technician confirmed the condition, checked for available parts and wanted to order them and repair it. However the white handle was not available, but he could substitute a stainless steel one. But they didn't have a matching one for the freezer door available. So although home warranty offered to repair the fridge, the handles would have been mismatched so we declined their offer rather than have had a freak fridge. Not happy with their decision to not replace the fridge.

My washer needs a new door gasket due to years of wear. You refuse to fix it saying it is not normal wear and tear. This seems to be the "excuse" you use to not fix everything. I have made two Choice Home Warranty claims this year and had a great experience both times. The first time I called my CHW rep (Sharon **) because I was new to the claims process. I was also very sick in bed. She explained the process and also put the claim in for me. Very caring and great customer service! The second claim I put in myself and it literally took seconds. Very easy and straightforward. For both my claims an appointment was booked very quickly - the same or next day. Technicians came out and fixed the problems. Simple and easy. Excellent service. I’ve heard a lot of folks say that a home warranty is a hassle or not worth purchasing, but choosing this company was a great decision for me. My claim was refused simply because we bought our own faucets. This company is totally unprofessional as this would have saved you money. I never received a contract or my account number for review of this service. It looks like Choice is intentionally hiding its unprofessional policies from their customers. And the other man knew what he was doing. I think the other one was in training. Either way they got it fixed. I use them all the time. I checked all the others and Choice seemed to be the best. They were on time and it did not take very long.

I got an warranty coverage from this company to protect my appliance and little that I knew it was going to be worse than saving my money and purchase a new one when need it. I put in a claim on March of 2021 and it didn’t resolve my issue. I was told that they will repair my appliance or replace it if they couldn’t fix it. Little that you know I had to go through consumer affairs to get a resolution.
More than six month after I finally got a check from them for not even half the cost on a new appliance that I had to purchase and when I ask them why they were not covering my appliance the way they said at the begging of my purchase their answer was that they decide who gets a new appliance and that they had decided that I was only going to get a $338.00 repair coverage for me to seek someone to fix it for me when I had purchased this policy for the same reason to not have a headache on finding someone to fix my appliance instead have a company to do it for me.
That was the whole purpose of getting into this company and that’s what they sold me on. I will not recommend this company to no one. I spoke to representative manager supervisor. Over and over they promised to fix my issue without any result. The only way I got something back from them was when I reported them to consumer affairs. After that claim I got at least the $338.00 back right away but I will not waste my money on this company if I were you.

You are quick to respond to the problem, but I believe there needs to be a quicker way to assign a repairman to the job. I had a refrigerator problem and I had to go and purchase one before the claim could be resolved. I was in the dark for about 10 days, not knowing how my claim was going to be resolved. Some things you can't be without when you have a family.

I currently have a policy (until tomorrow) with another company and was unaware that the 'standard practice' was a 30-day waiting period. I requested online quotes from several companies and, of course, immediately began receiving phone calls from all of them. I found out from the first phone call that I would have a 30-day waiting period and, being as risk-averse as I am, decided that I would stay with my current company until next year when I'd begin the process anew. The second company offered to shorten the period to 15 days but I still wouldn't budge.
I began the call with Choice by telling them we could shorten the call... that I couldn't accept the 30-day waiting period and was immediately told that they could work with me. As long as I could show that I had existing coverage, they could start me immediately. Given that Choice's warranty is highly rated by both This Old Home and Consumer Affairs and had everything I was looking for along with several discounts I wasn't expecting, I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The service provided was prompt, professional, and the issue was resolved. The serviceman installed new equipment in my toilet and explained the problem that occurred with my old unit. After the repair of replacing new parts, he then explain what he did and why. He then demonstrated how flush the toilet with new equipment installed. He explained it was not necessary to hold the handle down while the toilet was flushing. Once the the level is pushed just let it go and the flushing would take place. He then demonstrated the process and allowed me to do the same. It took me a couple of tries to get it because my previous toilet required holding the handle down until the flush was completed. The serviceman was knowledgeable and patient.

Unfortunately this is the third time with my refrigerator it stopped working. Someone came out. Replaced quite a few parts. Got it working. Within 3 to 4 weeks it stopped working again. They came out. Said that they didn't put enough freon on in it. Added freon on it, started working again and then now it's about maybe 2 months later it stopped working. Doing the same thing. Another company came out. Looked at it. Said there's a clogging the line and they should replace it and that's what they were recommending and unfortunately they are only giving me a small amount of money for the size and type of refrigerator that it is. So I still have to put out at least 60% of the cost of the refrigerator and it's going to take almost 30 days to get the e card into my possession.

AC went out at noon - notified Choice. Called choice at 1pm. No news, have to give them 4 hours to get ahold of a tech to schedule appointment. Called back at 2pm. Was told to give them time to respond. So I called back at 4:30pm and was told my appointment was set for 2 days later! Not repair. Do not confuse the two. So I had to get my own repair tech to come and do it same day after hours. Finally completed by 7:00 pm thanks to me.

This is a tough review as the customer service and response to our claim was very professional but the issue we have with our HVAC is "not covered". It is very frustrating to have a home warranty policy and it does not cover the things you need it to cover, with reasons that are only to protect the insurer. I now see why people are so skeptical of investing in these warranties as they never cover what they say they will cover - we feel scammed.

Bennett & Sons was called on two occasions to fix my AC unit. A re-call work order was issued after the first two Techs did not complete the repair. AC Tech (Rotney) came out the second time and did an outstanding job in fixing the problem that the first two Techs overlooked.

I had a dishwasher that was 12 yrs old. I was told by the repair guy that the parts would cost about $265. Choice declined the repair. They said it wasn’t cost efficient to repair it. They offered me $246 to replace it. In 2010 that dishwasher cost me $679. Where I’m I going to get a dishwasher for $246 today? I wouldn’t recommend Choice Home warranty to anyone.

Our AC system was down four pounds of refrigerant, indicating that our system likely has a leak. You refused to pressure test for leaks and instead just filled up the system, meaning we will likely have to make another call whenever this fill up leaks out. Not sure I follow the logic of not checking our system to find out what the problem is. On top of this, it took nearly a week to get someone out.

CHW was unable to find a tech so I had the option to get my own plumber. I called my plumber and he checked and the fix was small so he fixed it right there and right away. I did not have the option to contact CHW because it would have taken longer to get the approval than fix the leak. The cost was 137.00 so I paid the money upfront and per CHW I can't get reimbursed because I didn't get the approval first. If I had an option to call and make the claim so it would be faster I would have saved 70.00 dollars.

When I signed up for Choice I was led to believe I would receive same day service. My microwave quit on Sat, Sept 11th. The repairman came on Monday, Sept 13th which I understood. He told me it was not repairable and needed to be replaced and I would hear from Choice next day. I did not hear, but I finally called and was told I would be offered a buyout which was not acceptable so it was referred to a case manager Brittany ** and I would hear from her within 24 hours. This was Tuesday, Sept 13th. I didn't know it would be via email and didn't see the email until Wed, Sept 14th. It gave me a link to set up an appt to talk with her, but when I logged onto the link, it said the "page was not available" so I called the number she gave me and left a voice mail. Never heard. Called 9 more times with the same result.
Finally on Monday, Sept 20th another case manager finally called and said that there was a Covid problem with the first case manager which still did not explain why it took so long for someone to get back to me. She also explained that they do not replace appliances and only do buyouts which not only did not cover the cost of the new microwave but did not cover the installation fee of $125. Needless to say I am not happy with either the customer service or the decision but the service technician was excellent.

Once the technician came out, he was able to fix it temporarily by putting in freon. But it took too long to schedule the technician. With heat and humidity, response need to be much quicker. Waiting 3 days for technician to come out is too long (without AC for 4 days). I had to call multiple times in order to have someone come out in 2 days. It was a temporary fix. Week later, it's still not working. Submitted the trouble ticket, hoping to have someone out there today or tomorrow.

I am giving 2 stars because the only good thing was that the service technician who came out was great. Very knowledgeable and detailed in his work. The missing 3 stars are because it is clear Choice relies on misleading marketing practices to get people to buy their services and uses huge headlines claiming all the things they cover. The reality is that in their lengthy fine print, they detail out how really barely anything is covered and almost everything that actually goes wrong with important systems are not covered. Buyer beware!

Tech made appointment but had to reschedule because he wanted to come at 9:30 pm. Promised to come first thing in the am 3 days later, showed at 11 am after a call from me. He was polite, fixed one problem of tightening a screw but did not fix the other problem of not draining because it was not authorized by choice and wanted additional money. Called choice and after a bit of discussion they lowered my out of pocket expense. He came back in the afternoon and fixed the problem I think. Time will tell.

I called two times to get service and both times your IVR didn't accept my selection. I then went online which was ok, but not my preference for placing an order. I got immediate attention from the HVAC company who pulled the request. Ray was efficient, diagnosed the problem immediately and sent me an online bill since I wasn't able to be there with my tenant. You know he's professional just from his invoice with a link to even use PayPal.

I have 3 properties with them - their service is super bad - the Technician that they send lie about the problem and make it sound big. Even if it is a minor issue they make it look big. The managers there too don't make right decisions and fool customers that this will be covered, that will be covered. Finally when the problem comes nothing is covered. Please do not buy CHOICE HOME Warranty. Horrible service.

I explained my plumbing problems and the girl on the other end said for me to wait and in not more than 15 minutes, I was advised that a plumber would be here on Thursday to fix my problems. I called in today to inquire about a new plan. My phone experience was HORRIBLE. The agent that I spoke to was similar to a debt collector. It felt pushy, rushed, quick, and very unprofessional. This company does not abide by what they tell you is covered. In my policy it says that hot water heaters are covered. If you go into the policy you will find that nothing in or on a hot water heater is covered. Since hot water was flowing out of the overflow I phoned in claim. I was immediately told that a hot water heater is a storage tank and is not covered. Fraud complaint to Attorney General.

My ice maker has not worked for 4 months... Choice Warranty has sent 4 different service technicians... All 4 find the same problem. Choice Warranty is trying to avoid paying to fix or replace. 4 months later they now offer 465.00 to replace it. The cost of a free standing ice maker - 2500.00.

On Sept 10, I received the following information on a follow up appt via email.

However, on Sept 20 at 11, I called Prompt Appliance Repair and they said no such appt existed from them. The part I need had not yet been received and they would text when it was received to schedule an appt. They said the email communication from your company was sent out automatically and had no basis in reality. Setting a "fake appointment" seems a bit much if the service provider isn't even aware of this. I have been without a washer for nearly 2 weeks and I am anxious to get it fixed. I realize getting parts is a problem but setting up my expectations with a false appointment is frustrating. Please advise.

Choice did not cover my claim pertaining to leakage in compressor/freeon line. Your claim it was caused by corrosion/rust. How in samhell can it have a leak other than that... A train wreck! It is a great price and Luis was very informative. He also explained all of the promotions. The warranty provides a reduce deductible and is transferable. Haven't had any problems, but it is a brand new policy.
