My garbage disposal was leaking. The plumber from CHW was efficient and arrived early. He tested the dishwasher for leaking. He completed the job in less than one hour. I am extremely glad I choose this home warranty for my townhouse. I plan on keeping this company and look forward to continuing with my warranty. Thanks for great service.

Davis Appliance could not have been any more prompt and courteous. The operator for the company has talked to me several times letting me know exactly what was going on and the time they would be here. He also called today to make sure the AC unit is working properly. That has made a huge impact on me. These people care about the customers and their jobs.

My refrigerator went out which lead me to file a claim, and they sent out a tech right away. They were quick to approve my claim and make a generous offer. Working with Lydia my claim manager it was such a smooth and seamless process. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

Called and reported, waiting on technician to repair it so I can get hot water. I am hoping to hear from them soon as it's getting cold in the mornings. It dropped to low fifties. It's coming up to a long weekend so I hope I can get it fixed before the weekend.

When plumber got here he took picture and forwarded to Choice.... Choice informed him they would only pay $20.00 towards the unclogging of drain.... I had to pay $150.00 out of my pocket.... This is ridiculous/... There is no reason this should not have been approved.... Sinks get clogged all the time.... The were no rust, bad pipes etc.... You advertise sink unclogging as a service you perform.... Also I have the better plan... What is the reason it was not approved????

Technician is great, but your warranty service sucks. I will never recommend Choice Home Warranty to anybody in my life. I have had other warranty companies much easier to work with. Seems like the only thing your company wants to do is deny claims.

Our hot tub equipment wasn’t working, the technician showed up, on time, explained what the problem was, very Courteous, took care of the problem. We recommend the Choice Home Warranty. We will have no problem recommending the Technician nor the company.

Highly Dissatisfied, with the way my claim was handled. As of now I can't properly close my garage due to the fact of faulty equipment I have and CHW refuse to repair. So yes I'm highly dissatisfied with way my claim was handled.

Right rear gas control knob was not moving making the burner un-useable. 1st team sent did not know how to correct problem. Rating zero. 2nd team sent the next day know what had to be done and procced to correct problem. Control knob is working great and we have been using the burner for over a week. Rating is 5-stars.

If there is any rating less than one star I was willing to give it to you. I’ve been treated badly. The representative from sales was talking to me in a way as if my contract with them is a charity work from their end. I think they are giving me money it’s not that I giving them business. It was horrible. I really don’t like it and to be honest I will try to search around to find somebody that gives a better prices and at least respect their customers.

Technician was prompt and efficient. Explained the problem and how to fix it in the future if problem happens again. I had no ideal what was the problem nor did my husband and another plumber would have charged us an excessive price!

I had to use their automated system about my water heater. All I had to do was answer a few simple questions and within a short amount of time, they had my claim open and was searching for a Technician to come out. The only thing I had to do on my end was call. Thank you so much!

We had a claim but without any call, our garage door got repaired. The claim filing process was bait and technician worked very well to get approval for change in parts. I would recommend it to anyone who want to have peace of mind for damaging in appliances and other things.

Customer service with CHW is awesome. BUT the contractor that came out to fix my issue was not a good experience. Would never recommend. When I called CHW I was greeted on the phone with a polite CSR. Maybe CHW can let the contractors know communication with each customer important.

I was extremely pleased with the service I received on my Maytag washer yesterday. The gentleman, Roscoe, was quick to diagnose the problem. He got the part and fixed the machine. He was a pleasant person and I learned that he served our country in Afghanistan. I thanked him for his service to our great nation!

We moved into a new house and slowly started realizing that some appliances and fixtures were not working. Choice warranty has an easy to use website and great phone customer service that gets you a repair person quickly and efficiently. However every repair or diagnostic will cost you $65 and when a replacement is approved we did not know that we had to wait 30 days to receive the money (in an e-giftcard form which should be instant!!). We are now stuck waiting a month to get the money for a new washing machine so we had to pay for it ourselves and will have to use the reimbursement towards something else when the e-giftcard arrives) because we needed to wash clothes ASAP!! It makes NO sense at all that you would have to wait 30 days to receive the replacement cost especially for urgent everyday appliances that you need to use right away!!

I was told I had 30 days to cancel; can I please cancel this warranty? My realtor was already doing this through our closing and I jumped the gun buying myself. We will end up using your services but need to cancel the contract we just purchased yesterday.

Toilet won't stop running. Appointment set with Affordable Solutions Heating & Air LLC from 11:00 to 3:00 on 10-6-21. When no one showed up I called company. They said they would check with the tech and call me back. They did not call back. The voice mailbox was full when I called them. Called again today and got the same story about calling me back. I cancelled the work order.

I waited all day for the first appointment and they didn’t show up. I called your company and they said the appointment had been changed to the following week. I wish I had known. When the guy did come out everything went well but I wasted a day when he didn’t come and nobody informed me.

Company came out within 48 hours and quickly fixed problem. Technician was extremely nice and personable. He answered any and all questions I had. Repair was relatively simple and he completed in a timely manner. I highly recommend Henry with Haugstad and Choice Home Warranty.

Call in to report issues with ice maker/freezer for not opening. After two weeks I have been left in the dark. Upon checking email mail with no phone call… I just happen to check email and discovered appointment on 10/04/21. I missed an entire day from work, NO appointment with service repairman. So right now I don’t feel I am getting good services. I did however, contact repairman. Parts are being order which no one knows when they will be in due to back order. I am a diabetic and I depend on my frozen vegetables to help me stay on course of eating right and this is really affecting me in more ways than one.

My refrigerator broke down September 8th morning thereof. I have made a minimum of two calls a day trying to get somebody to come out and fix it. The results where two technicians were supposed to come out, nobody showed up. Third guy came out and now I find I have to pay another hundred and $46 due to a hidden clause in your contract. It is now October 7th still have a broken frigerator. I've had multiple calls with The Resolution Team. I have been lied to multiple times. I know schedule of repair. I have had to cancel my vacation that was set for October. I'm probably looking forward to canceling my trip to Atlanta as well. Everybody at your company says, "We're sorry for the inconvenience." you try living without a refrigerator for a month. My better half requires refrigeration for her insulin due to your bad service

Have the home warranty, my washer went out, contacted Choice, they had a tech out in an hour. Diagnosed the problem and now are replacing my washer. Such a great company with excellent communication. Very fast, efficient, and effective! Great company!

Was not correct. Said the wiring had to be traced. The wiring in the fan had to be looked at and fixed. The light fixture on the fan flickers. The fan itself the blades work fine. The electrician is looking at the claim. I need a case worker to talk to.

I needed a clothes dryer plug replaced. BW Electric didn't show up for appointment. Got rescheduled and BW called and said I must move dryer. At 70, I can’t. Choice reassigned and Medcalf Electric came same day! Russ with Medcalf is awesome! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The day after I signed up I opted to cancel. Was told it was no issue when I signed up. The policy would not even be effective until Dec 15th, so more than 2 months before even started. During my attempt to cancel the policy, the person kept trying to sell me a policy. I kept asking to please just cancel and refund my money. This went on and on. Now told it can take 15-30 days to get back over $1500 that took only a day to take from me. Bad business. I’ll never recommend this Company. Pressure sales tactics, etc.
In a recent review of your policy, I show that a full refund was processed back to the card we have on file on 10/8/2021. We regret losing you as a customer.

Too many phone calls. Once you Google home warranties and add your information, you immediately start receiving phone calls 3-4 times a day. The representatives are pushy, talk too fast and will not let you receive the policy to review prior to making payment. Although I took the policy, I am reconsidering. My husband was not happy with my decision to take out the policy.

It's is very difficult to contact with assigned case manager. Choice refuse to cover the items that are listed on the contract. Warranty list clearly indicates that AC condenser and evaporator coil is covered but Choice states that the customer is responsible for it.

Ended conversations with Rob, after talking to Daniel, Both were gentlemen. Found me the best deal, I hope. For continued coverage with the warranties. Hope all my problems will be solved, with this same treatments. However, had another phone call from a lady to tell me about Choice and after I told her I had purchased a plan, she said thanks and hung up, Please take my name off the call list, I get enough spam calls.

We put a claim in on our air conditioning unit in mid September and it was assigned to Columbus Heating and Air. The unit had stopped blowing air into the house. Columbus Heating and Air stood us up multiple times using the excuse of bad weather, which wasn’t the case at all. When he finally showed up he spent a couple minutes at the outside unit and then told us it was completely out of Freon, which had just been filled the previous month. He said he was going to put in a request for a leak check. Whatever he put in was approved and we went through the process again of him pushing us off. We ended up troubleshooting the issue ourselves waiting on this guy and had cool air blowing in the house again but still wanted it checked just to make sure nothing else was going on with it.
When he finally came back the second time, he went to the unit in our upstairs, took pictures of rust on the overflow pan, and left. There was no checking for a Freon leak which is what we thought he was coming back to do. That night I received a message from him saying that the warranty company had approved a whole new AC system. We were going to have to pay $1300 out of pocket. That’s when we requested a second opinion and another company come check it. Columbus Heating and Air then contacted me, asked if we had requested someone else, and then said all we needed was a new evaporator coil and not a unit. That was clearly another lie. Nothing had been discussed with us.
Hughs Heating and Air came out, thoroughly checked everything, discussed everything with my husband and came to the conclusion that our thermostat had just gone bad. That was what we had troubleshooter and fixed waiting on the other guy. The unit was and is back to working normally. The technician from Hughs stated that he had been out to multiple customers home within the last couple weeks that Columbus Heating and Air had been at and was hearing the same stories. The units are working as they should but that guy wants to replace everything. Columbus Heating and Air is doing nothing but ripping customers of Choice Home Warranty and the Warranty company themselves off. He’s a fraud. He will never step foot on my property again. Hughs Heating and Air is fantastic though.

The technician was very competent. He explained in detail what the problem was. He was patient and accommodating, respectful and personable. I will recommend him and CW to my friends. My only issue with Choice— and this happened twice- is their error or carelessness in noting my address. They mistook it for OWINGS MILLS. I live in OWINGS, which caused a delay in the service. Other than that, everything is on the up and up.

My claim was rejected for a tiny technicality and then being told I have to wait 2 weeks to get a call back from the case manager is completely unacceptable. After 14 years of paying my policy I would expect more support from this company.

Garbage disposal was installed on the first day. I had a problem afterwards and the mechanic returned to correct it. The tech was very knowledgeable and knew how to fix the problem. He took care of it in a very timely manner and checked it over the air conditioner to make sure all was right before he left. He found that it had a bad capacitor which he changed out. The air conditioner really work great now.

You sent out a representative the same day to repair our dryer. He did not have a part he needed to fix it. We are now getting emails that it will be approximately two weeks before our dryer is fixed. And the part is located locally here in Houston. We could have gone over and picked it up ourselves had we known. Also on our last call to get our closet light fixed the serviceman said he could not fix it as Choice would not pay him. Unbelievable that Choice won't even fix a light that's out! I put a new bulbs in myself and fixed it!

Contacted Choice Home Warranty about an issue with my washing machine via their web page in the early AM. They had a service scheduled for the same day. Service man was very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue, ordered the part which arrived the next morning and came and installed the part that day. Very pleased with the service and prompt response.

Technician from Philips overhead garage and locksmith arrived on time. His office had kept me informed of his arrival time. He heard problem as I described. He checked several mechanism of the garage and the opener. Problem was fixed in about 30-45 minutes. He demonstrated and explained the maintenance routine to keep the motor, rail and springs in good condition.

The first company you sent, Hooked Up, was TERRIBLE. The second company you sent, Anderson AIR, to actually fix the problem was very good. They answered the phone. They came when they said and so far the problem seems corrected. If I ran the world, Hooked Up would be unhooked.

I placed a call regarding our refrigerator not cooling. Within one day someone was scheduled to come and check out the problem. In the interim I had place a call to another appliance service who came out to look at the issue. I called Choice Home Warranty and explained the situation and they cancel their technician. They were pleasant and helpful. I was very pleased with them.

I noticed a malfunction with my oven on Tuesday evening while trying to make dinner. I knew it was something beyond my own ability to tinker around with at home, so I made a note to call CHW to file a claim first thing in the morning. After speaking to someone on Wednesday morning to file my claim, I was shocked to learn that a technician would be coming to my home in a matter of hours. By 2 PM that same day, everything was fixed with absolutely zero hassle. So grateful to have this service!

Spoke with a Choice representative named Jacob. He is very knowledgeable and is able to quickly sign up people for new policies and for renewals. I have a condo that's protected with a Choice Warranty policy, and I just arranged to have my son's condo covered with a separate policy 3 year policy. It was a birthday present. Thanks Jacob.

Called in because my pool motor was making a strange sound in cutting off. If you found a pool you know it doesn’t take long in the hot summer for a pool to turn green if you can’t run your pool motor. I wonder why I have this service. If I can’t get service with my AC goes out will it take them up for you to get out here I’ll diversification in the heat. I know I live in the country therefore people don’t wanna come all the way out here. I don’t know if it’s because of the pay. I have had you out here before and I know when they get here they have to wait two or three hours maybe four hours for a response back to fix the item which that’s four hours I could be doing something else besides sitting in my living room making small conversation. Then they have to locate the parts.
Most of the guys come from Houston or Katy which is an hour and a half to two hour trip and traffic. It could be a three hour trip. I do feel sorry for the guys. They have to come out here. But it’s not my fault. I paid my dues, For the services, with green water. It’s gonna cost me a lot of money to get the pool back up and running with the proper chemicals to get it reset. At one point I had requested somebody come out and look at my fan. I waited months. Never heard from him so I called the phone number on there and asked him about it and the guy went humm. Told him just forget it. So I went and bought a box fan for $45 instead of using my ceiling fan. I believe this is all because I live in the country. If I lived in town I think I would get service on the spot but I’m penalized for living out in the country.
The only one that went great was the dishwasher and that’s because the guy had a great relationship with his vendor and he purchased three motherboards and brought out here on his way to his next job. And that dishwasher repair he was in and out in no time. Even the plumber job he fixed one simple thing and all the other stuff I’ll we can’t fix that we can’t fix that we’re not gonna fix that it was a plumbing problem that had to do with the plumbing problem that he fix but it was drainage under the house. "We’re not going under your house so we’re not going under your house." So I’m really having a hard time understanding what you will do for me besides make me wait months for service. I really wanted to renew but now I’m afraid to.

I can say on this claim the appointment was set up quickly and the technician came to the house as scheduled. Once he got the approval to do the repair all was done quickly. The tech did state that the part was definitely defective but he needed ok to do the repair and sometimes these were hard to get. I was lucky I got a quick repair.

During our annual furnace inspection the technician found a small gas leak in our furnace. We submitted a claim to CHW immediately and the designated service provider arrived at our home several hours later. The repairman was very thorough, explained and showed us where the leak was then made the necessary repairs. We are grateful for the immediate response and excellent service!

The guy was courteous and fix the problem in ten minutes. He said that there was nothing big so he cleaned up the disposal and it works now. I hope every engineer was like that so we old people don't fall for their rackets.

I went with reimbursement offer. I got someone to come out and fix the problem. We had to turn off water to entire home and could not wait till Friday for their appointment. I hope that I get my money back for plumber's visit.

The technicians sent were great; however, the estimate to repair the refrigerator was high so Choice required a second opinion and when that was a similar quote denied coverage stating lack of routine maintenance was at fault. If you have older appliances, I would not use their service. We have used Sears Home Warranty and never had an issue.

Getting the claim assigned was a nightmare. However, the technician that was finally assigned was completely professional and very informative… I would recommend him more than I would recommend CHW. Just being honest… To say that CHW couldn’t find a technician in our area of over 200,000 people, only to discover that they do their search by the customer's zip code is certainly a lack of innovation and forethought. How about searching for it by the customer's city and/or “certain mile radius” of their address so as to accommodate the customer's request. Please be more adaptable to the technology that’s been available for years now in order to increase your positive reviews by your customers instead of losing them to your competitors. Thank you.

Placed the claim on 9 25 21, 1st technician on 10 2 21 never called or showed up, tank now overflowing into my yard. 2nd technician with different company was assigned showed up. Fixed my system but CHW did not pump the system which they were supposed to do. VERY UNHAPPY WITH CHW AND TH.

I don’t like being pressured. I understand that the gentleman was only doing his job trying to sell as many policies as possible; however many people are still affected financially by the pandemic and cannot afford to pay for multiple years upfront or within the next 2 months. If the client tells you that they would prefer to go year by year, then please respect it and understand that there’s a reason for their decision. Even if you think you’re giving them a deal. I work in customer service and even though my boss wants me to sell as many Vaccines as possible, I try to respect the customers’ stance whether it’s financial or their personal belief.
At some point you need to stop pressing and leave the customer alone. I was very close to canceling the policy I just bought because the gentleman just would not take no for an answer. Do understand that you can lose clients/sales by being too pushy. I apologize if your boss is pushing you to press the customers. In this case it’s not your fault. I am aware that corporate or management read these comments so this is for you! Tell your employees to know when to back off. If the customer sounds like she/he is becoming agitated with you pushing for another 2 years’ policy (~$1000+), then maybe it’s time to back off. Some people can afford it, some cannot and would prefer to go year to year or maybe find a more affordable company if you raise the price of your policy in the years to come. Please understand and stop being so pushy. Thank you.

Once I placed an inquiry with warranty company there was a technician scheduled response within 24 hours with the technician scheduled shortly after that. I like how you can communicate directly to the technician versus the warranty company by way of the technician. The most recent tech was a little abrasive with trying to tell me my warranty won’t cover things but that isn’t his realm to understand. Not to mention they covered it as normal. Nevertheless the service was speedy and prompt which is all I needed.

My dishwasher wasn’t draining after the rinse cycle. The service guy came out but the dishwasher drained for him. He started it and it drained. So he couldn’t do anything. But since then it’s starting to not drain after the rinse cycle again. Guess we will just live with it.

The time response was great. The repairman was great and very helpful. He recommended it needed to be replace. This was handled quickly, but the bad was when they suggested the replacement it was not a smooth transaction. They do not replace your brand or color to match what you have. They gave me a choice of a lesser model than I had. If I wanted my brand and color I had to pay out of pocket plus to have it installed which the amount they suggested only paid for installation not the appliance and this was my first claim I've done. Not sure of renewal at this point. I would think replacing with quality would cost them less in the long run. Just my opinion.

Visit scheduled for 3 to 8 on Monday. No one showed so I called and was rescheduled for 7 to 9 on Tuesday. No show so I called and he was on his way. I told him what I thought was the problem (drain stopped up). After some other checking, he opened up the drain and the compressor kicked in. No further repair needed.

My washing machine was leaking. Repairman came. Told me it was the transmission. Probably going to need a new machine. Was not cost effective to fix it. I was told it would be about $700 to fix it so Choice warranty called me back and told me they would give me $343. I told them it was impossible to get a washing machine for $343. Choice warranty specifically States if they cannot fix your machine they will replace it.. They did not stand by the word. Beware of choice warranty.

The scheduling, however, was not great. Apparently, Choice kept scheduling without confirming with the technician so the plumber didn't make it out to my house for over 2 weeks. Good thing it wasn't dire. Was told that Choice was making appointments for me without checking with the servicing company to see if they were available. The company that came to my house was Drain & Sewer Specialists. The plumber explained why the problem was happening and, after fixing it, explained what he did.

Admittedly, this was not a major problem such as heat or A/C but does indicate how good/bad CHOICE handles events. The clog was well beyond the trap, so a plumber with a power snake was needed. Contacted CHOICE, they arranged for a plumber for a week later. Again, not a big deal as there were other sinks in the house we could use. The plumber arrived on schedule and cleared the clog. Filing the claim online was a snap, response time by CHOICE was fantastic. The time from making the claim to the arrival of a plumber was a bit concerning, but then again, I have NO idea how easy/hard it is to get a plumber independently, at what timeframe and at what cost. At least with CHOICE, I knew my total cost would be the deductible. CHOICE is well worth that peace of mind.

We've only had a visit from the plumber. No work done yet. We paid the plumber the $65 required by contract to come and access the situation. He told us we would have to move the washer and dryer ourselves, he doesn't do that. No problem. Today we were told they are charging us $250 to move the machines. What??? We were also told today that we owe an additional $85 towards the elements we need in our hot water heater. What? There was no mention of this in the before.

The technician was very good. The issue was with the claim approval **. Said the sink was leaking which isn't covered I agree to that but that not what is leaking it was the plumbing to the faucet that was leaking plumbing system is what's covered. The the garbage disposal is covered components and parts was denied due to a screw being inside not normal wear and tear which it says nowhere about normal wear and tear that I can see **. Also the technician noted it had been in there for awhile. Only been living in the home for 2 weeks prior so for my first warranty claim experience this is GARBAGE!!!! And questioning my decision.

These guys are awesome. The warranty company had dispatched a different plumbing company first and they left a mess. These guys came in figured out the issue and resolved it first trip. I would recommend that anyone needing plumbing work near them use them.

Claim AC 8/3. I called several times for updates & each time they claimed they were missing info from tech. Talked to the tech and his office personnel and both had sent info over 3 times. On October 1st 2021 they emailed stating that it has been approved for replacement. It took 59 days days for approval. So AC was running 24 hours a day, everyday in the hottest months of the year. This caused my electric bill to be extremely high. Very dissatisfied on how they handle claims and the time frame in which it takes to get an approval. I have the approval email however no one has called or emailed to schedule an appointment.

I was satisfied with the quick tech response but I wasn't satisfied with the decision to give me a Lowe's card for $343. I would have preferred to have it repaired. I can't find another washer for that price. I am a senior, I don't have the means to have another machine delivered and connected. I misread the email sent to me on the 27th of Sept. I didn't call the case manager. I was waiting her to contact me. My mistake. I have tried her ext. 5 times today, hoping to explain and apologize for the message I sent her stating I was waiting on her call. I am frustrated with not having a washer for 3 weeks. My dryer claims were satisfying.

2 light switches needed fixing as they stopped working and I could not free them up. One was repaired very effectively but the other (despite replacing the switch) failed to work after the 2nd use. Initially very pleased, but then frustration - am thinking of going to Lower's and buying a new ceiling fan and having that installed. Also, was supposed to have a ballast looked at in lower bathroom, but this was not included on the work order so electrician could do nothing with this.

Choice sent over a professional plumber within 24 hours - he found a small issue with a air switch (off on switch) which had a hole in the connecting air hose. That was fixed with minimal work required, I paid my $65 deductible, and jet tub back to working condition. Good experience.

I called in on Sunday, 10/3/21 to renew our home warranty plan. It had expired and I finally got around to renewing it. I thought it was taken care of but this morning I received an email saying the policy was cancelled. I had to call in again to see what was going on only to find out the payment didn’t go through. I told the rep on Sunday that I was using a different card and I got an email from my credit card company to let me know a charge had been made to the account. This morning I was told the payment didn’t go through on the original card. I am very unhappy with how things were handled and that I had to make a follow up call to find out what was going on. If there are two charges on my account, I will be calling back and not in a good mood about it.

We were concerned that our fridge was running excessively. We had a technician check it out and assured us that it was working correctly. He explained how the fridge cools each side of the unit (freezer/fridge) and due to the age of the fridge, this is how it is. Maybe a new fridge is in our future.

I have a complaint, the plumber was very nice. I did not care for the company's requirements. Why should I clean the dirt that accumulated under the commode when I am paying for your services. The toilet seat needed to be sealed from water leaking underneath the toilet. The dirt could have been cleaned up from the tile before replacing the toilet. I gave the plumber a handle/mop (small handle, not a regular mop) to push the dirt to the side, which he did. (I was wearing a heart monitor.)

It doesn't cover older appliances or equipment!! Had to buy a new water heater after mine exploded (literally). Choice was no help at all, It took a week to get a response and they denied my claim because they don't cover sediment build up. I bought my home and got the warranty because I didn't have money to replace any major household systems and they have denied my water heater, they didn't cover my recent service call or my furnace because it was working, there is a loud hum coming from there and the technician they sent out looked at it and told me that it was the transformer but Choice wouldn't replace the part. So I have to wait until that doesn't work for Choice to tell me they can't replace that either. NO THANK YOU!!

I've had the service for a few years now and have used them on only a few occasions. Good and bad. Service has been fairly quick responses so I appreciate that. Had washer worked on a couple times and service techs were from TX instead of local businesses so didn't care for that. As far as CHW, we were not happy with the decision they made to not only not repair our washer but when they decided to replace it they only gave us $299 for a new washer saying that was the average cost of a new washer. Where? The washer we had was a $1000+ washer. We didn't expect near that much for a new one but we did expect a lot more than $299! When they advertise if they can't fix it they'll replace it you expect them to do what they said.
Other problem we've had is the monthly fee went from $40/mo to $44/mo to $48/mo. When called about it the person I talked to said if we kept the service they would put the price back to $40/mo. Following month it was still $48. Shouldn't have to call back to make them keep their word. If I call back it may be to cancel membership. So, good and not so good experiences. Right now I wouldn't tell anybody not to get the service but I also won't be recommending it right now. Also been hearing negative things from technicians about all these home warranties. They say if they cover something it's not with quality parts. Like I said... still trying to decide.

The technician that came to fix our plumbing problem did a great job. We were having a birthday party that day and guests were to arrive in just a few hours. I feel the problem was misdiagnosed. The repairman did not seem to want to do the repair. I told him the problem and he kept repeating it back to me. He did not seem to know what to do. He walked outside, looked at a faucet and walked back inside. No reason for this. I have water coming from under the bathroom wall into a bedroom. No water leaking into the bathroom, only the floor where the hot water heater is in that bedroom. The plumber said he would have to contact Home Warranty to see if they would pay for the repair. He said the pipe from the water heater was leaking. I then get an email that the leak is from a bad install. That is not true. I have been using this bathroom and never had a problem. There is a leak that is new and Home Warranty needs to repair.

Cancel the remaining time left on policy ** as of now. Refund the pre-paid contract fees less 10% as agreed ASAP. Continuing to put band aids on an old A/C system ls not O/K. Being without an A/C for days is also not O/K.

I continue to have the same trend on items in my home. Any issue, I coordinate with Choice who send someone out only to charge me a fee and tell me that Choice will not cover the repairs. Honestly, keep your money and do use this company or buy their nonsense coverage. Failed 2 out of 3 repairs.

I have been with Choice for almost 2 years. Most of my experiences are very good. However, I have had an outstanding claim on my pool pump for OVER A YEAR and Choice has done nothing to alleviate the problem. I am VERY disappointed in the way that Choice has handled this issue....or not handled this issue at all. Also, Choice makes it VERY HARD to talk to a real person when you call in. It is almost impossible to talk to a real person. They say "let me get you to someone who can help" and you wait online and finally they come back to you with an automated person that ALWAYS misunderstands what you are calling about. This is very frustrating AND not very good for business.
Like I said above, except for the pool pump issue that is STILL waiting to be fixed (claim was made a year ago last March) I get good service when I need someone. Now with not being able to speak with a REAL PERSON, I don't know if I will continue to use Choice as my Home Warranty Company. I have not heard from a Choice Home's representative or supervisor about my pool pump yet and the problem is I cannot talk to a real person when I call. NOT A GOOD SITUATION.

EcoWorks Plumbing was the repair service. The 2 techs arrived in an Ecoworks company vehicle instead of a beated down private vehicle. They were prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The repair and installation took approx hour using a better garbage disposal than the one they replaced. I'm very satisfied with this repair.

I think the most impressive Experience was that I had trouble with my air conditioner and I was expecting long waits for a service man to come to the house because I live in Nevada and then I called Choice home warranty and put in a request for service man Is at 9:00 a.m. and the service man was here at 1:00 p.m. Who does that. How do they come so quickly when everybody else who's using a private company doesn't get a service man for 1 or 2 days.

I put in a claim for our garage door through the automated system. The door wasn’t going up. Less than an hour a technician had called and said he would be there shortly and he was. I really didn’t expect same day service! He was thorough, courteous and professional. Great job!

Technician was good to identify the problem. After that, getting resolution was a pain. I was told, via email, that a case manager would contact me. I found out who the case manager was via a visit to the website and view claim status, which I did because I had not hear from the case manager. Via the website I was instructed to provide additional info on the oven features, which I did. The 1st case manager ask be to send a picture of the oven control panel as they apparently didn't read the info I sent.
After sending the picture, I had to contact a 2nd case manager. We apparently crossed comms but have, I THINK, resolved the issue. Not please that I can't replace the oven with the amount that CHW has offered, not even a use one that doesn't have the features. To replace the oven, it's going to cost at least double the offer. I understand depreciation, etc., but can't even buy a used one for the offer. OBTW, getting the offer in a gift card vice a check is NOT beneficial to me as the customer. I'm limited to replacing the item from LOWEs vice being able to purchase from where I can find a product that I want. Oh Well, I'll re-evaluate.

The only thing I didn't care for was the timing, why would you set up an appointment all the way up to 8:00 PM at night? Everything else was pretty good, they sent Choice Home a repair request and Choice Home approved it, and the repair person called to come back to install the part, but I believe that after 6:00 Pm is a little late, of course unless it's an emergency.

My problem was not urgent as the refrigerator was functioning. My only complaint was that it took a long time to have a repairman come, this was probably caused by a lack of available repairmen in the area. The good news is that communication with Choice HW was excellent. I was very pleased with the rapid responses I received to my multiple inquires. All in all I was very happy with CHW.

I am very disappointed with the response time for repairing my broken refrigerator that does not get cold. I have been inconvenienced for over 2 weeks waiting for repairs. Now I must wait 2 more weeks for the part. I think there should be alternative companies to help do repairs so we the customer doesn’t have to wait so long for an appointment.

The Tech. was very good but I cannot say the same for customer service. How can you send a tech to service a LG product when he tells me that you no longer cover compressors in LG refrigerators. I understand that this has been in place since July but I received no notice of this change in policy. When you make a change in policy it should be automatic that you send an update.

Warranty coverage. I am very dissatisfied with your replacement coverage. Had to replace my dishwasher and Choice gave me $246. My new dishwasher cost $800. My garbage disposal unit does not work due to leakage from corrosion. I paid $60 service fee for nothing because you will not replace it because of corrosion. It still does not work and that should be covered for replacement!!!!

In the meantime authorization was given with the exception of $35.50 which I don’t know what this charge entails. Today, Saturday, October 2, I do not know if parts have been ordered, and when to expect technician to return to make repair.

The fact that CHW does not provide enough to replace an item when it has failed says it all. Microwave is broken, CHW agrees, but won't send enough to replace the microwave. I can't even buy the cheapest microwave from the store with the amount offered by CHW. I will recommend any warranty provider other than CHW going forward.

A tech came to diagnose the AC condenser and stated that the condenser was bad with a leak. He also clearly stated that it WAS NOT a pre-existing problem, and might happen a week ago. CHW authorization Dept and the appeal case manager did not want to approve the repair due to pre-existing condition! The AC has been running well the whole time, and it got broke down about 4 days ago. It never had any problems!! After discussing with the CHW and the tech, I do believe that CHW didn’t not want to pay the repair for whatever reasons!! It doesn’t matter what the tech’s diagnosis or the condition. I will not trust and continue doing business with CHW anymore!

Tony was a great service tech but was disappointed service was not covered. I should have read the contract better before purchasing the warranty. I was given a timeframe for appt. Of 11:00 to 3:00. That's a big span. I feel like blocked lines could happen outside of regular maintenance inspections.

My double tank hot water system began leaking badly. Called in a repair to the automated system. All operators were busy. Got assigned a plumber the next day and the soonest we got a visit was 3 days later. Approval was quick with $1205 of charges for a replacement seems too high. Still do not understand what the breakdown of charges was. One one tank was going to be replaced. Work was done properly but really can’t understand the what and why of this repair f regarding was Choice Warranty covered.

This appointment cost us $85 for nothing to be done except to inspect the breaker box. I explained to the electrician who was sent out that the breaker had been throwing intermittently. He had a few theories but said that he could not do anything because it was not doing anything then. We had found out two days earlier from another electrician that Federal Pacific breaker boxes have been implicated in several house fires. At least, he did say that the box did not look like it was in danger of catching fire. I will be keeping the documentation of this incident in case anything else happens. We still don't know why the breaker is being thrown. If we ever determine the cause, I don't believe that another $85 fee is justified or fair. He also never did answer my wife's question of how much it would cost if we wanted to replace the box ourself. The electrician, his son, and young granddaughter seemed like nice people.

My AC unit was obsolete and going on 16 years of usage. I changed from Home Shield to your company. My AC was maintained every year but because it is not in your records I am being penalized. The was a hole found in the freon line and because it is not a moving part your company denied my claim. After 16 years of use the line would wear out. Then the case manager did not even honor our appointment to discuss my case. Lets me know the customer is not important and your company is possible a fraud and I will be going back to Home Shield! I need a refund for the other years I paid for in advance.
