Trey who tried to fix my microwave was great. But the part I am upset with is Choice warranty. I was suppose to hear from someone so I can replace my microwave. I haven’t heard from no one. I need a microwave.

My hot water heater went out on Saturday. This is Thursday and still no unit available. I was approved for all but $300 which is great but Choice ordered the wrong water heater. My phone class have been met without empathy and even rude Rudy who hung up on me. I have continually been told I need to wait 24 to 48 hours for the appliance. Never got a return call from a supervisor after 2 requests. Disappointed as service in the past has been great The plumbing company that took the job, Rising rooter, has been wonderful.

The professional (Joe) who enrolled me in CHW did a fine job of explaining the coverage and benefits along with a very reasonable monthly payment plan. My monthly payment will be $51 and the cost per service call only $.

I had to wait a month to get a tech to come to my house. Then he gets there, finds the problem, orders the part which arrived to my house last week but next available appointment is November 10th. This is just dragging out so long. Then I realized my ice dispenser does not work so I guess I’m looking at a few more months for that to get looked at and fixed.

I am always happy with and would recommend Choice Home Warranty for affordability, more options for policy coverage (including full coverage policy options - I am on their largest plan and it has saved me so much money and stress), great customer service representatives over the phone, and oftentimes very, VERY good choice and utilization of contractors for various home warranty issues which are designated on your policy. They by far beat out other home warranty companies in pricing and service... I wish I had switched over a while ago honestly. All of the contractors other than this one in this review, have been fantastic, polite, timely, communicative, knowledge, and they knew how to fix the issues the house had. However, I would suggest that Choice Home Warranty monitors more closely on who they chose to use for contractors. I did have a very poor experience with a contractor through them.
My appointment was scheduled for Friday, and this guy showed up, unannounced with no phone call or text message, asking if he could collect payment while he was on the phone with someone else so I could barely hear him in the first place. He had no company shirt, I had no idea who he was...and I couldn't even hear him through him blaring his speakerphone call while talking to me. I told him to put it on mute actually and keep to the appointment before having him exit my home. With that said, this is my home, my domain, and I fired him through Choice Home Warranty and requested a new contractor. I cannot have someone just think they can show up as per their convenience like people don't have lives or work remotely.
Choice Home Warranty was great about the feedback and offers the option to their customer to provide it and escalate if need be so they can voice their concerns and problems. This is a great tool. I would say that I should not have a stranger who at first didn't even identify who he was, who wanted payment 2 days before the appointment and to just "check it out", showing up 2 days early, who just thought it would be convenient for him to knock on my door and ask for payment before our even scheduled day because he had "another house in the area." During this time, I was also on a conference call for work and was interrupted and I quickly ushered him out of the door saying to "stick to the appointment." I did submit this complaint to Choice Home Warranty and they did take care of this issue with tact, understanding, and precision and I am so grateful for that.
Giving customers an avenue to voice their concerns and provide feedback is very important, especially when a contractor is unprofessional, intrusive, oversteps my domain boundaries, is rude, and unrealistic. I wanted to thank Choice Home Warranty for taking care of this situation appropriately and I am still very, VERY happy with them. Please monitor your contractors for this type of intrusiveness more closely and thank you for providing such great service.

This is the first time dealing with CHW that everything went smoothly. The claim was processed and responded to quickly by both CHW and the vendor. The communication with Bennett and Sons LLC was excellent. The technician was professional and courteous. He shared valuable information to help us maintain our AC unit so it can run at peak performance.

The service was great. Schedule of service was done with the time limit given and scheduled. The service guy was professional and made sure we knew what was needed for the repair of the appliance. I would recommend this company to other friends and family as I have not have any problems.

Technician was running late from the job just before ours, but he was very knowledgeable and thorough about the issue and offered several options for fixing the problem. He has to come back to perform the work but the initial consultation and diagnosis went well.

A technician came to the house within 24 of submitting a claim...no problem there. It was determined that the clothes dryer needed to be replaced. I received an email saying the replacement offer was $335; I did NOT click on "I ACCEPT" and asked to have the offer be re-considered, hoping to have an offer of at least $400, the low estimate of replacement parts. I called the phone number provided, only to reach voicemail...left several messages. Several days later (and several other representatives later), I received a call saying there would be no increase in the offer. I was led to believe that the Lowe's e-gift card for $335 would be sent right away so that the appliance could be replaced, but am still waiting. I am very disappointed with how this claim has been handled.

The technicians did a great job repairing the pipes within our home. They were very professional and completed the job within the same day. The technicians replaced the ceiling fan that was full of water due to the pipes leaking and painted the walls.

The original tech scheduled for Tuesday 10/19 never arrived. On that same day before 5pm another provider accepted the service but scheduled it 9 days later for 10/28! Effectively stating that your company thinks it is acceptable for a client to wait over a week with no refrigerator. I called back Wednesday 10/20 and was told of the option to have my own technician come and found a local tech that could arrive within 2 hours and was walked through the process to have them submit the diagnosis.
When the tech attempted to submit the diagnosis it said that this claim number was not able to. It took another 45 min before the tech was able to submit and have the diagnosis approved before beginning work wasting both of our time. This was not a smooth process nor did I feel as though there was any sense of urgency from most of the customer service reps I interacted with. Jose was one rep who was wonderful, solution oriented, and had a sense of urgency and empathy to the situation. I am sorry I did not get his last name.

Although Choice Home Warranty is highly recommend their sales reps are very pushy in trying to get a lump sum payment. I’m sorry but not everyone has thousands of dollars to give upfront! Ask then let it go!

Washer leak happened Tuesday afternoon and repairman came Wednesday. Updates the whole time from Choice. Excellent service. Never experienced service this good. Repairman was on time, thorough, knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself. Even wore a mask. I would rate Choice Home Warranty and their repair network A-1.

I have a leak in my water treatment system. Needed immediate attention. Called water company and they have it temporarily stopped. Need parts. Problem not listed online. Need info as to what is next from Choice Home Warranty. Only two companies in Iowa that handle Kinetico water treatment systems. I called the closest one. First time having to use my warranty. Not sure of all that is needed.

Quick and efficient service. I filed a claim Sunday morning for a furnace that would not stay lit, and by noon on Monday the problem was fixed. CHW could be more of a mindset to help the customer get their issue resolved and provide value to the process. Yes, they immediately send someone to review the issue but not fix the issue, nor even commit to fixing the issue, until after the customer pays the house call fee. No problem there but then there is no commitment to following up on getting the issue fixed. At this point, CHW can decline to pay for servicing the need.

So far out of 5 claims - only garbage disposal replacement has been approved. Dishwasher not covered because it was not a mechanical problem. Hot water heater not covered because it was too large. Still waiting to hear about the plugged bathtub drain. Appointment times say 7AM - 11AM. But in reality no one plans to arrive until after 9 AM. Appointment made with a service company not associated with the claim problems: Dutchman Backflow LLC has been canceled because he did back flow, not plumbing. Two of the service companies contacted told me they had a very difficult time understanding the Choice Warranty agent with a very strong accent.

The last tech was excellent. Had to come out to fix Sears problem that they never fixed. I felt I shouldn’t have paid Sears 85.00 deductible then 2 days later have to pay it again for the same problem. Not satisfied with Sears service at all.

I had appointments for repairs for my washer. The Sears tech didn’t show up at either times, cancelled my appointment while I was waiting for the technician to show up. I was later given to Knockout Applicance Repair. They came out. They let me know they recommend a replacement. I’m waiting on Choice Home Warranty to let me know when they will replace my washer.

Let me say the technician was awesome. My rating is for the company. We have a really old refrigerator and no matter what the technician said, Choice pushed back not replacing it. So, we are out a refrigerator for 10 days. It was discouraging to hear the Choice rep doing everything in his power to not replace the refrigerator.

I found my water heater spraying water out of the top on Sunday night. I shut the water and gas off to the water heater. Filed the claim on Monday morning around 7:30am, later that afternoon the plumber came out to check the water heater to discover that it could not be fixed. He sent over his diagnosis that a new water heater was needed, within a short time Choice Home Warranty approved the new water heater, ordered the replacement, and the new water heater was replaced on Tuesday. Yes we had to go a day without hot water, but the plumber had other appointments scheduled. Our water heater was actually replaced with same brand name we had and same size. It was actually brought to code as well.

The technician was on time, professional, and knowledgeable about his job. Soon as I invited him in, I showed him to the garage where the heater is. He opened it and proceeded to show me where the problem was and what it was. He took his time to explain to me what was wrong, and suggested two choices. I will like this same technician sent to my house when I put in for a work order.

I had an electrical issue. Technician came and resolved. He was very good. I would recommend him again as a good contractor. However, Choice Home Warranty did not honor my contract and had to pay technician $200. Technician said himself Choice will sometimes pay, sometimes not. This I will not tolerate. I will cancel my Choice Home Warranty now.

I just made my first claim on my Choice Home Warranty, and was scheduled within the hour and the technician came the next morning. From filing to finish, about 12 hours. Unheard of! I am excited to have selected Choice for my new home.

I called on a Sunday- this was my first call ever to Choice as we switched from AHS this summer- it did not go well- I was told all operators were in the US when I bought the plan- NOT the case- some "managers" were but they did not do much to help- no one could find a company willing to work with CHOICE- once accepted then declined as soon as he found out it was CHOICE- I called the last company I worked with under AHS and he came out within 2 hours of me calling - found the problem and will be coming back to fix it- this is a furnace- we live in WI and we need HEAT- thankfully no kids live in this house but we do have tropical fish-
I did use the reimbursement process and should be getting a check within 30 days- which is too long to wait to me but whatever- really wish process would have worked like it is supposed to and CHOICE found someone to come out within 24 hours- If I need to use again within the first year I really hope that things do not work like this- I tried to cancel but was told I would lose money-

I am a firm believer in home warranties, we had a competitor at our last house. When called the service calls were much more expensive, but we usually had someone at the house the same or next day. So far I have had to request service calls twice. The first time it took 2 weeks to get a leaky toilet fixed. The next call was for a well pump problem that left us without water. I was told it would take approximately 48 hours. I consider no water an emergency, and 48 hours a ridiculous timeframe. They did offer the reimbursement option. I am currently attempting to navigate this, but it feels like a way for them to shirk responsibility. So far I would definitely not recommend them or choose them again. I hope they do better in the future.

Technician quickly dealt with the situation and got us a buyout on our microwave. But having to wait up to 30 days for our Lowe’s gift card so that we can go purchase a new microwave is definitely not an ideal situation when you’ve been without a microwave for so long.

My dishwasher, after 2 service calls (which each cost $85), was determined to be broken and needed to be replaced. CHW refused to replace it and instead offered $249 to Lowe’s. This is insufficient to replace even the most cost effective unit at Lowe’s. My contract clearly states this unit is covered under my home warranty and will be replaced in the event it breaks. In addition, I have to wait 9 more days until my assigned claim manager will schedule a follow up call with me. No other CHW representative is permitted to assist me. I have been a loyal customer for years and have always paid my premiums on time. This is completely unacceptable and just plain bad business.

Persistence paid off, got a great deal thanks to Matt and his team. If service is needed I'm confident that CHW will take care of my problem, fingers crossed. My daughter has a policy, used it twice, it took some time to get her washer fixed due to parts availability, furnace was quickly fixed.

Very easy to file a claim and the response time was impressive. Had an appointment scheduled 23 minutes after I filed my claim. Having a home warranty and how convenient it is to file a claim really relieved some stress from the situation.

Every claim I have submitted has been denied. I will never recommend your ‘service’. I hope you publish this. As a small business owner with memberships, I understand customer service. You do not provide a service, you are a check collector. Your industry needs regulation. Your company would have been sued and gone broke in the 70’s and 80’s. Now that we have corporate run government, you are allowed to take money from consumers.

We have called on Choice Warranty multiple times and you have not been able to find a technician in a timely manner to help us with the majority of our issues. We are always having to find our own technician and the reimbursement process is long and lengthy. The last issue we had with the ice maker, of which was the only time you sent a technician, was never even resolved with no follow up to make sure that the technician you sent did their job.

Our air conditioner was not working. Called CHW The next day. The service rep came to look at conditioner and had to order parts. He came when he said he was coming and took care of the problem I am very happy with this company. We would recommend this company.

Had two claims- one for stove vent, one for electrician. My appointments were each set very quickly, and both technicians were great. The electrician had a challenging puzzle to solve, which they resolved with some diligence. The stove vent a hood microwave unit issue was resolved and approved for Complete repair/replacement!

Updated on 10/25/2021: If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not get suckered in by a few good reviews. This company will draw out this process and hose you however they can in order to not pay for repair. Even the service technician blasted this company for their poor communication and practices. I originally gave a good rating and had a good experience up to the point a technician came out to inspect our broken refrigerator. He submitted his report, I promptly received an email from CHW that our refrigerator was approved for repair.
Then things went south. For 10 days CHW claimed that they had sent notice to the repair company to order and repair the refrigerator compressor, however I called the repair company AND CHW everyday for a week. Every day I got the same response from CHW, that they would give the repair service 24 hours to respond. Every day, the repair company would tell me they have no contact or work order from CHW. After I complained enough to CHW about the horrible communication and lack of a timeline for repair, they elevated my claim to the "appropriate department" within CHW who were supposed to contact me with details shortly.
After 24 hours of no response, I called again, after no help, I demanded to speak with a supervisor. After speaking with a supervisor, the story changed, and now I was responsible for getting the part delivered and setting up the repair appointment. 3 weeks at this point without a working refrigerator and now the story changes. It's now my fault the repair has not been made, even though all along, I was being told by phone and email, that the repair company would order the part and call to schedule service.
So being that I was going to receive no help or clarity from CHW, and they had told me now that I needed to procure the part required and schedule the appointment, I did so. I called the repair company, had them come out and repair the refrigerator as written up in the original inspection report, AND AS APPROVED BY CHW. Now that I'm trying to get reimbursement for the labor charges, WHICH CHW APPROVED, they are telling me the work was not authorized and that I'm not eligible for reimbursement, even though I have the email and text messages that say the repair is approved.
Original Review: I originally left a positive review regarding our experience following a refrigerator outage. Everything went great thru the initial service appointment. It was determined our refrigerator compressor had gone out. CHW approved the repair and said the service company would reach out to us shortly to schedule an appointment. Very happy with the service up to this point.
A few days pass, no call. I sent a message to CHW thru their claims website, they said they would follow up with service company. Three days later, still no follow up from service company. I called CHW, they originally said it would be easiest for me to directly call the service company, so I did. Service company said the original repair ticket is closed and that they would need to schedule another technician out for an inspection (even though we had already done this the week prior and determined the issue). I then called CHW back, who told me they would reach out to the service company to clarify the order of events and have them call me to schedule the repair appointment within 24 hours. 24 pass, and no call.
I call service company directly again, they say they have no evidence of any messages from CHW. I call CHW again, they tell me the same thing they told me yesterday, that they will reach out to the service company, and to give them 24 hours to respond. We are now three weeks without a functioning refrigerator. Had I known it would have taken this long, I could have saved the money from buying ice and eating out, bought a new refrigerator, and saved everyone a lot of hassle.

Very poor service. I felt it. I had 2 year contract. I decided to short it back to 1 year, because I know as soon they get your contract they care less about your issues.. Being having prob with Furnace - not heating, this is my third time I'm calling them a 1.5 year. The other Two time tech come I pay them. They did a quick check and saying everything is good, or, "We replaced a ignition. You should have no problem now," and once the cold time come you decided to heat home, bum nothing works. You open a case with them on this a matter that can not wait 24h. Who want to be 24h in the cold with kids? They say you need it. Wait till System choose your tech. We can not anything. The systems choose the claims for you. It can be 4 to 24h. It's being more than 6h now. I do not have a call tech to work on my case. If I don't find it then I will be sleeping on a call home again.
How can you let the system pick the tech for when you open cases. Don't you have different level of claims: Critical, major and minor? So the system does not difference when something can wait or cannot? When you ask for manager or escalation process to look into your case, they said, "We do not have any escalation process." Who works on this field with no escalations process, when you receive 1000 of claim. So is all claim the same? This is a big failure Choice and as prove that you do not have a system to cover your clients' issue. You just receive money and receive claims and wait on system to managed them... This awful way of working. I will be sharing your awful way of working so everybody need to know how you managing the claim...

The technician was very professional and helpful but these companies like Choice refuse to help out with major appliances. They find a way and loop hole to get out of doing what they promised!!! I will never recommend them to anybody.

The furnace was not igniting. The technician was very prompt, courteous, professional. I did a great job and getting my furnace reignited and back on. I was extremely pleased with the promptness and the professionalism that this technician showed. It was determined that the furnace thermostat was bad and possibly the gas ignitor may have failed.

Like with any type of insurance, customers need to challenge the payout amount before settling. I get it. However, clients shouldn't have to wait WEEKS to get the settlement. In one case, I waited a month for a check and this time, I'm told it will be 2-3 weeks for an e-gift card from Lowes. And once it's agreed upon, there is no communication to let you know the status of your settlement. Example: had a telephone call with a case manager and payout was agreed upon; when I went to track my claim, it still indicates the call date and time, no disposition of payout or where it stood as far as receiving my e-card.
With the impact of Covid on jobs and the price of everything escalating, that money is needed for major appliance purchases. Isn't that why we have the insurance to begin with?? Also had an instance when an appliance was to be replaced because a part was no longer available only to receive an email a day later telling me an appointment was set to repair my appliance. I had to call the repairman to clarify and NEVER received notification that the email was in error.

I was pleased with the tech that came out to diagnose the issue with our stove. He quickly found the problem. He communicated to me the part had to be ordered. Unfortunately he did not give me all the details I needed to know. For instance, I was not told the part was being delivered to my home so I was surprised when it was delivered. He gave me a date he would be back which was not accurate, is another for instance. So here's the main reason for my 2 stars. The tech came out on 9/30/21. The part was delivered to my house sometime the week of the 4th of October. I had to call several times to tell them the part came to my home and to find out if they knew that, and, when someone was coming to install it.
When I finally got someone to give me an answer they gave me a date in which I would not be home and which is almost a month later from the original date of 9/30/21. The planned install date is 10/28/21. It was very easy to change the incorrect install date so I'll give 4 stars for that. I would give 4-5 stars if the communication had been better.

I purchased this warranty and the salesman told me certain items were included. They were not. It’s impossible to get a live person on the phone unless they’re trying to sell you something. An electrician shorted out one of my outlets and caused all of my food to spoil from the upright freezer. After ignoring my messages for months, CHW finally told me the claim was past 30 days and I’d have to pay for another electrician to fix the issue. I still can’t contact a human being in customer service. I’m not renewing with a company who doesn’t take care of their customers.

The Technician came on 14 October to analyze the problem. He said the compressor was not working and will have to be replaced. On Friday 15 October, I got an E-mail stating that I have an appointment for 1100 AM - 300 PM on 28 October. What am I to do with my food supplies during this period of waiting? Tech check my heating system after another company claimed it need to be replaced. The CHW said everything was fine and did not need replacement. I'm disappointed in the first tech who just wanted to make me replace system that did not need to be replaced at this time. Be careful with companies that just try to upsell you more than you need.

My air conditioner started dressing up, the technician came out send you the problem, then sent you pictures of where the problem was, you denied the claim claiming damage, the technician had to spread the fins to show where the bubbles were coming from, there is no damage it is wear and tear!! The only reason I didn’t give this experience 5 stars was because I had to wait 3 weeks for the repair. That’s actually probably something Choice can’t really control, But filing the claim was easy and fast and Choice responded super fast and lined up the repair within a matter of hours. Very prompt response to my broken dishwasher. I was reluctant to even submit the claim given the $85 service call fee, but went ahead with it. The dishwasher cannot be repaired, as I expected, but I was offered $246 eGift to Lowes for replacement. I was happy to receive something but it will cover less than half of the cost of a new dishwasher. I am awaiting the eGift certificate but it can take up to 30 days. I will be very disappointed if I do not receive it soon.

The technician that came to our house was good but Choice Home Warranty declined my claim because they said it wasn’t normal wear and tear. I believe it was normal wear and tear because my house was built in 1962 which makes our home 59 years old. A screw broke on the trip lever plate. After 59 years of use screws break from normal wear and tear. I just renewed my policy for 3.5 years and have had nothing but trouble. I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone!

This was my first time filing a home warranty claim with Choice Warranty. The process was easy and straight-forward and CHW assigned my claim to a local service provider, Rooter-Chris, who was professional, responsive and addressed all of my concerns. It would have been a 5-star rating except for the CHW representative I spoke with when I called in to verify some of the info in my claim. Even though she was professional, she was not particularly nice or friendly, leading to a rather awkward and tense conversation. But apart from this one exchange, everything else was great and went smoothly. Thank you, CHW!

Heater needs gas valve replaced. I was informed by CHW that they do not pay for valve replacement! However, your ad on tv states that "If we can't fix it we will replace it." I have a 39 month warranty with CHW that started 10 months ago. This is my 1st claim. Not a good start. CHW is bogus!!!!

I got this warranty included as part of a purchase of a home. I have submitted 3 claims and each was less than stellar in what was offered or what was excluded. The most recent example made me think they do not want to spend more than what was paid with the purchase of the plan. It was a dishwasher that failed. So they offered $246 and said this is your only offer as we do not want to provide a replacement. Basically they force you to accept the offer. You tell me where on this planet can I get a new dishwasher for that amount? You cannot.
This only covered the labor to install a new one. So I still had to put $900 into a new dishwasher which is more than the cost of the warranty plan. I did not benefit much from this plan. Bottom line is I am not renewing because I did not save much by having the warranty. These people are profit driven and their decisions are driven by that so you get very little benefit. Beware of warranty companies. Their interest is themselves, not you. Sorry I had to tell the truth, but others should know what the truth is.

I couldn’t believe how quickly I was able to have a serviceman come to check my issue. He was professional - letting me know exactly when he would arrive by text. He quickly diagnosed the problem and explained to me. Then processed his claim with Choice warranty and I had an email within the hour letting me know how much they would cover and when the repair could be made. I’m very pleased!

For the 1st time CHW got a technician out in a timely manner. It usually would take more than a week and up to a month. The technician they sent was very competent and professional. Unlike the last one I had for the electrical. I was not happy with the fact CHW would not cover the work that needed done. I am thinking of switching to a different home warranty company. I have not been happy with their coverage of my needed work since I switched to them from my other company a coupe years ago. Sometimes a lower yearly premium isn't always better.

I appreciate the value of this service very much and it has done our family a lot of good the past year we have had it. Customer service is a bit rigid and inflexible and I don't like not being able to use the same company for things like HVAC or plumbing because I could potentially sit there and pay the service fee over and over and over again because I have to explain to different companies what's already been done when really the entire system should be and needs to be replaced. Despite all that though having a home warranty plan is definitely worth it and I am glad we have it.

Spent 3 years with this company. Two of the 3 times I actually tried to use them the claim was denied. The appeal process was anything but an appeal. It was just someone that calls and explains to you why they were denying your claim. Even though the technician did not write the things they denied the claim for, I was told that their department have the experts that make the final decision, and are trained to know what causes the problems, and in our case was something that warranty did not cover. When asked for proof of why I was told it was not something the tech wrote down, but something they determined. It was a poor experience, and I spent close to two thousand dollars with a company that has more denials then acceptance. Highly do not recommend them.

This is the second water that needs to be replaced within 2 years. The first plumber Choice sent wired a 24 volt thermostat with a 120 volt circuit. Also, the initial plumber used galvanized piping instead of brass or copper fittings. This over heated the tank and leaked at the top gasket. The second plumber Choice sent changed the appointment 3 times and was inexperienced to diagnose the cause of the leak. My overall experience with Choice has been nothing but aggravation.

I am very disappointed in Choice warranty. My first repair. First technician told them gas water heater needed to be replaced b/C both control & burner were bad. He had checked & it was going to several weeks before parts would be available. Choice Warranty dismissed him & got a 2nd technician. 2nd Technician reported control bad & possibly burner too. He ordered control. It came in about 5 weeks. He put it in. Then had to order burner. Another week. 6 weeks all together. Would you do this to your Senior parents. You were told it would take several until Oct. 28th? It happened on Labour Day weekend. During this time, two of my siblings died as well. I want a refund of the rest of my monthly premiums. I will choose another warranty company. I feel we were very mistreated by Choice Warranty. The technician was great!

The process for service on my microwave was simple. I submitted a claim Monday morning, and the technician arrived Tuesday morning. He said it was a minor, easy fix. He even took a proactive approach to something else that was about to break. The whole visit took less than an hour, and I can now use my microwave again!

The experience overall was above average. Appointment was set fairly quick so I wasn't without my washer for long. Tech was fairly quick and efficient. My only feedback would be the tech should be careful with the comments he makes like "Oh I really don't feel like doing a transmission repair today". Doesn't give the homeowner confidence when someone makes a comment like that. Overall he was very nice and did a good job but that's the constructive criticism I can give that really is important in a the service industry.

I was considering some of the contract options the rep offered and asked the rep if he could call me back to give me time to decide which he rudely replied he could not so when I hung up on him and he called me back… that was a LIE. And come to find out he signed me up for a service contract anyways even after I had told him my husband and I would like to think about our options. I did NOT appreciate his pushy sales tactics NOR signing me up when I clearly stated I hadn’t made a decision yet. Calling to cancel ASAP.

I opened 2 claims one for my bathroom sink and one for my dishwasher. For the sink the technician never showed for the scheduled appt and then Choice sent me a message that my claim was denied. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. For my dishwasher my claim was denied and I appealed it and it was denied again. The person who helped me was NOT friendly and very quick to deal with me. Not a good experience on either claim.

My dryer started malfunctioning last week. Contacted CHW, they sent out a technician. He charged $65 diagnosed my dryer as having a broken circuit board, also advised he could not replace the circuit board because there was a leak behind the dryer. I again contacted choice they sent out a plumber, plumber charge $65. Said was not his department. Sent out AC person, AC person charge $65. Said was not his department. I need a roofer. But roofing is not covered under my warranty. So $195 out of pocket and still no repairs. Currently at laundromat $100 to wash week's worth of clothes for family of 6.

We just bought this house 2 months ago. The home warranty transferred from the prior owner. We had a contract for preventative maintenance on the HVAC system from our old house that transferred. That company found problems with our heating system and disconnected the system for safety. We contacted Choice, who sent out one of their contracted technicians. The technician was nearly impossible to contact and schedule with. It took them several weeks to correctly and fully diagnose the problem. We were then told by Choice that the problems found were our responsibility because it was due to improper maintenance (done by the prior owners, not us). We ended up calling back the first company to replace the system so now we get to pay $8500 after having no heater for weeks. We would have been better off without the coverage, it offered us nothing. Don’t waste your time and money, we won’t be renewing it when it expires.
