    We are in the middle of a multi year contract with Choice and at this point, I'm sorry we have to call them at all. Latest issue is that they didn't cover parts to a water heater simply because it was 5 gallons larger than what they cover. Wasn't even trying to get a replacement, just the parts that cost the same regardless of the size. Woman on the phone "CASE MANAGER JAMIE" couldn't have cared less and kept repeating the same line "WE DON'T EVEN COVER THAT UNIT"... thanks, super helpful... go ** yourself.

    Our first experience was when our dishwasher was not cleaning our dishes. The service person came out and told us he would need to get a part. I then get an e-mail saying they would give us $247 in gift cards. We declined the gift cards and asked for a check. We also were not happy with the amount. Our dishwasher cost over $800 new. It was a Bosch. They would not give us anymore. Then our furnace didn't want to heat the house. We had a service person come out. There was a leak with the freon. We were told they do not cover (F7) corrosion and would not replace the part. We will not be renewing our warranty plan. People make sure you read the small print and remember they can deny almost everything the way the contract is written.

    Placed service call on 11/24/21 and CHW assigned the technician to come on 11/29/21, but Technician never showed up or called on the day of schedule. So I had to call to CHW. When I spoke to representative she said she will contact the plumbing company and reschedule again. I mentioned her to schedule another company and she said I had to pay the service fee twice because I requesting another plumber. However CHW assigned another technician and problem was fixed on 11/30/21 almost 6 days after reporting the issue.

    I purchased a multi-year contract with Choice and this was my first call in for an issue. Furnace went out. 27 degrees outside. CHW said technician would be out in 2 days. I called CHW back asking if they could find someone else to come out sooner given that it was below freezing. They said no. I asked to speak with a supervisor (because I know the call center can't always address an issue) and the rep hung up on me. I called back and, rather than explain everything to the new person, asked to speak with a supervisor to resolve an issue and THAT person also hung up on me. (And, no, I wasn't being mean, didn't raise my voice. I simply asked if I could speak with a supervisor or manager.)

    The technician that finally arrived at my house (it took 5 days to get heat) was great. But I was not at all happy with Choice Home Warranty's staff. And it isn't very good business practice to hang up on someone who wants to escalate a problem. I'm a Realtor and would normally have recommended Choice but I wouldn't want any of my customers to experience what I did. "It's a no from me, dawg."

    After the repairman recommended replacement and CHW agreed, it has taken weeks to settle on a price. I am being given wholesale value for a dryer that I have to pay retail price. Why not CHW pay the wholesale price and replace the dryer? In addition, I am told that it going to take weeks before I receive the store credit to get the replacement. What do I do in the meantime?     The technician that came out was amazing however when y’all denied the claim that was gonna cost you $600 to repair my machine and only offered $343 which did not give me enough to replace my exact machine instead tell me that I needed to find a comparable machine different brand that was cheaper. I don’t appreciate that when your sales team is trying to sell us a contract they tell you everything you wanna hear just to get you to sign up and then you get screwed on the back and I can guarantee you that once my policy is up I’ll be switching to American Home Shield.

    All I asked for the claim manager to do is replace the exact same machine. Instead I got told, "That’s not possible. You get what you get." They offer me $343 when the machine sells for 749 at any other store. Oh also the money they give you is not retail. It's wholesale. Help me understand what normal citizen get wholesale prices. So when you’re signing up and they tell you all this. Don’t believe it. Read the policy I guess and understand that if they say they’re going to replace something for you they’re not gonna give you retail prices. They’re gonna give you wholesale prices like you’re some big dealer store. Sad to be dishonest.

    The service man Dennis who came was good and saw what was wrong with our water heater. It needs to be replaced as it is leaking but the problem we called about is that the element was not always heating the water, so the element was failing. However when the service man saw the tank, he knew it needed to be replaced. Now HWC will not the expense of replacing the tank, only its components. This insurance is worthless.

    Repair of a leak, too young technician showed up, and a beat up old car, they said it would be $85, no problem when they look at the leak they said they would have to tear out the whole wall to fix the leak, I’ll ask them if they were licensed plumber and they said they had their Journeyman's license, I asked to see it could not find it, ask for receipt for my $85, they said the receipt would have to be sent they did not have one, they talk to the boss, the boss said they would send a receipt which they did but it had no license on the invoice, and they cannot provided one and they drove off. If your companies not gonna provide licensed plumbers or electricians it’s a real problem and the next plumber came out which was Lassens and only replace the washers which took 10 minutes, he was really nice. My experience was horrible with the first Repair guys

Claim was denied even though your plumber didn't see any sediment when he drained some water out!!     I was informed by the Claim’s Rep. Peta that Choice Home Warranty No Longer Replace your Refrigerator but gives you $736 dollars to replace it. Where in H- - - will anyone be able to replace a Stainless Steel, Side by Side, Water & Ice Maker Filtered Water, Climate Control Refrigerator for $736?     Tech came to my house, very thorough and kind. Told me what the problem was and submitted claim. Choice Home Warranty denied it. When asked why, the CHW agent said the tech submitted diff info than the tech is telling me he submitted. They refuse to speak with myself and the tech at the same time. Tech says they are incorrect on what they claim he submitted. Can’t get anyone at CHW to speak with me and the tech together to clarify. CHW agents would only read from a script and won’t reply via email nor call me back.

    I called to talk to a person about my claim and how the costs was broken down for a claim about a ceiling fan. When I wanted to know the cost breakdown the representative said, "It is not our policy to give out that information," and she referred me to the handbook. When I looked into the booklet it just states how if a new fan is required it says nothing other than a vague statement about a builder's grade fan will be used for replacement. Because I didn't want just any fan put up, I actually bought a replacement fan to put up at LOWE'S.

    When I kept pushing the representative for answers and she kept referring me back to the Choice Home Warranty booklet. I grew very frustrated and asked to speak to her supervisor and she said that they will tell me the same thing. When I challenged her on that statement she said that she will transfer me to a customer service supervisor. She disconnected me from the call. I just think that is terrible customer service and I wanted to voice that in this review. I called back and spoke to another person and they were very helpful and was able to break the costs down to my satisfaction.

    The dryer started when repairman was here He did try to stop and restart and it started. The issue is though when it runs for 5 minutes or longer the machine shuts off and will not work until something cools down on the inside. Dryer not functional right after he left. Technician came to home same week - I paid $65. Technician determined the dishwasher needed $600 in repairs. HCW determined dishwasher is totaled and should be replaced for "long-term" solution - HCW forwarded digital offer of $250 in Lowe's gift cards to replace dishwasher; I REJECTED THIS OFFER - HCW missed 1st scheduled "Case" meeting for Tuesday 11/23. No-Call/No-Show, and NO Communications - Multiple attempts,

    messages to NO avail; rescheduled on their calendar for 11/30.@830am; agent called at 8:40am; I explained my frustrations and rejection, she came back and offered $350 to replace my dishwasher on the basis that it is "their wholesale distributor cost" for which, I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO!

    The agent clarified to my question that they will offer nothing more. I REJECTED THIS OFFER. - National average: $700 to $1, 970; typically $861I CANNOT buy a replacement of similar quality dishwasher for less than $800. Their offer is based on a value that NO CONSUMER has access to and is therefore WORTHLESS.

    Don’t waste your time and money with Choice Home Warranty. When it comes to fixing your AC they’ll say it’s a Pre-existing condition!! They’ll refuse to fix anything if it’s too expensive. The worst warranty company out there. I was with a different company for many years and I never had an issue with replacing things. The reason I changed was that the monthly became too high and it took too long for them to fix things. Again, stay away from this company.

    I think that your company is in the business of denying claims. My boiler had a faulty relief valve and you denied the claim because you said that the part was rusty and therefore not covered. However the part that you mentioned as being rusty is not the part in question. And of course there was no rust at all on any of the parts. The service technician resubmitted the claim stating the exact part that was in question and you denied the claim saying that valves are not covered. I paid a lot of money for coverage and so far you have denied complete coverage on every single claim. If there was a way to get a complete refund based on your terrible service I would like to have that done.
