    I am new to Choice, but very pleased thus far from the first phone call to the most recent issue with our home. The agent I spoke with originally was helpful, professional, and fast! The website is easy to navigate, make a claim, follow the claim, and be a part of the process. The technician that came to our home did the assessment, notified me of what work had to be completed, and then immediately called Choice to see if it would be covered - all before leaving my house.     Adrian took the time to listen to the problem I was having with my dishwasher and refrigerator. He took his time and took part of the dishwasher apart and found several things that needed to be replaced. He also did the same with my refrigerator. I’d like him to be my go to person for any of my future repair needs. This is the second time someone has come out regarding my dishwasher for the same problem. It was around this past Thanksgiving and the first person barely looked at the dishwasher and said it looks fine now. It wasn’t. That was a wasted $85.00. I don’t ever want them to come here again.     A technician Choice contracted out to come to our residence a couple of times to service our furnace closed our claim by stating that nothing was wrong with our heating system, which is true. However, our heat was still not coming through our vents. Choice was willing to send the same technician out again but by my recommendation I asked for another technician instead because this situation required a second opinion. A technician with another company came and fixed the situation - a dirty flame sensor. Thank you Choice for being with us through this ordeal. Could you please let your other technicians know to consider things like a dirty flame sensor when servicing future customer calls?

    Choice Home Warranty has the worst customer service that I've ever dealt with. They don't support their clients, and choose technicians that stop replying or simply never show up for repairs. Even worse, Choice never actually follows up with them by their own admission. They require you, the customer, to stay on top of them if/when they don't live up to their commitments. Obviously they don't vet their contractors, which is concerning. Will never use Choice again. Truly awful experience.

    I needed a ceiling fan replaced, called it in and had an appointment within 24 hrs, this was wonderful. The appointment was from 7:00-11:00 AM, I called at 8:30 to see if they could give me a closer time, they did not call me back.     The past two times that we have had service for one of our appliances has not been good. Once Choice Home finds a company for you, you are on your own basically. If you don't keep in touch with the assigned tech, it takes forever to get serviced. Choice Home does not make an attempt to find the earliest appointment for you. My other bad experience was when they decided to just pay for my washer instead of fixing it. Choice Home lowballed me by $210.00 after me arguing for them to give me a little more. As soon as I get this done, I am canceling my service.

    I called this morning regarding the ice maker. I was not given an opportunity to explain the problem, but was given a claim number. So, I'm sitting here wondering what happens next since I didn't get to speak to a real person and the automated person didn't give me any information.     I paid in full for a three-year policy! I've only requested one claim and that's to fix my bathroom Whirlpool tub. I've been waiting more than nine months nearly a year to have my tub fixed. I've had more than five different companies come to my home yet still my tub is not fixed. I've asked for a complete refund of my money and this company refuses to give it to me yet my bathtub is not fixed in nearly a year! Their customer service is horrible people yell at me, hang up the phone, are very rude and very unprofessional! They treat me as if I am the one that did something wrong and I only want my tub fixed. They refuse to replace my tub even though they can't fix it! This is a complete breach of contract yet they will not give me my money back. The worst company ever!     It took two weeks for CHW to find someone to fix my garage doors and that was only after I had to call and complain. Overall service has been difficult and we have paid more out of pocket than CHW has. We have made a few claims now and CHW is rarely able to find a contractor to do the work. I have had to do the reimbursement option which does not always get paid by CHW. One time a contractor sat on hold with CHW for over 30minutes waiting for approval to do the work. He eventually just started doing the work and I was left holding the bill. I have left voicemails for the salesperson who sold me the plan to voice my concerns, but have not received any calls back. Depending upon how my most recent claim goes, I may be calling to cancel my plan all together since I still have two years remaining and it has not really be a beneficial plan. I would not recommend CHW to anyone at this time.

    Technician was great, he recommended replacement, have not received e card and not sure why the e card is for Lowe's only, I read contract and could not find any lanquage that addressed having to purchase a replacement through a supplier that you deal with. Lowe's is not very handy for me as a consumer and why isn't the ecard issued on the day of determination. With the difficulty of supply now it is vital that a replacement unit be ordered asap.

    We noticed our freezer/refrigerator was not maintaining temperature. The freezer was at 22 and refrigerator at 50 degrees. I submitted a claim to CHW and immediately received notification my claim was received. About 1 hour later, I received an email stating my appointment would be the next day between 8-12pm. The technician arrived, performed troubleshooting and discovered the Defrost Heating Element failed. Luckily, he had the required part in his truck. He installed the new element and the unit began cooling. Before the end of the day, the freezer was at 0 and the refrigerator was at 37 (designed temperature). Terrific service and highly recommended. My out of pocket cost was $65 for the service call.

    Everything about my recent claim was pitiful. Simple plumbing service call for about 4 minor issues. 1st tech was from a different state and he didn't show for his appt. Blamed it on a dusting of snow but he did not call, text or e-mail that he would not be coming so I wasted 4 hours waiting for him. I requested to pick my own plumber and let Choice reimburse me but they would not approve this. So they put the claim back out there and another vendor from another state picked up the claim. Evidently no local service people will work for this or these warranty companies.

    He did not show for his 4 hour period either. But he responded when I texted him and he just had too much on his plate and he offered to come the next day which was the weekend. He made diagnosed my small repairs and e-mailed and called in for approval so he could proceed. Choice did not reply for 2 days. Then they denied two of my small issues (a sink stopper and a broken toilet handle). They are supposed to cover normal wear and tear but they classified these as abnormal damage or damage due to a catastrophic event. That is comical. I would like to hear what the catastrophic event was. I tried to flush the toilet and the handle broke. Clearly normal wear and tear for a 13 year old toilet. My repair guy was nice but Choice was pitiful.

    I have nothing good to say about my experience recently with requesting service on a refrigerator that stopped cooling. Our claim number is above and you can read the many many messages I had to send requesting a name of a technician that would contact us. 14 days after our initial request we are finally assigned someone. We lost all of our food that was in the fridge. No one in your service department could explain why we were not assigned within the first 24 hours after our claim. We made numerous calls and sent nearly 15 messages pleading for a technician but was told each time "we're working on finding you the right technician".

    We will not renew our contract with Choice and will do our best to discourage anyone to use Choice. The only bright spot was that the technician who was assigned on the 14th day fixed our issue. We give him 5 stars. Please take the time to look at the messages between your service department and us. Horrible service. Goodbye.

    I would not even give them one star. They sent a terrible technician out that made my problem worse. He was working on the dishwasher. It ended up flooding my floor, and we had water sitting in the dishwasher for days until the next tech came. The next tech said it was beyond repair. Choice Home Warranty ​said the flooding was a consequential damage and is not covered. THEIR tech flooded the floor!!!! I had water seeping up thru the tiles for days.

    Also, they only offered $257 to replace it. This will not cover a low end smaller dishwasher? The one being replace does not have low end features. $483 is as high as they would go after a lot of back and forth with the realtor and the local Knoxville, TN rep. This will barely cover the cost (without tax) on the low end dishwasher, and does not cover the cost of the installation and haul away of the old one! I told the company I would report them and leave feedback everywhere! DON'T PURCHASE THEIR WARRANTY!!!!

    When I moved into a home, it was recommended that I get a home warranty. So I did my research and chose CHW. This was nearly 3 years ago. I have used it a few times for minor things such as my ceiling fan went out and it was replaced in a timely manner as well as I had a toilet that was stopped up and it too was handled quickly. CHW communicate with me. They called and sent a email to let me know who was coming out and when along with any contact information to reach the technician. You could even go to the website to monitor the claims.

    When my washer recently started having issues, I made a claim but things were different this time. Although I received an email, I didn't receive a call which was okay. When the first company assigned was a no call no show. They quickly reassigned it to another company. It was determined that it would be cheaper to replace than repair the washer. This is where everything started going wrong. I was only offered a fraction of the price to replace it with a Lowe's e-card. I immediately looked on Lowes website for washers and washers start at around $550. I usually buy brands that I am familiar with because I know their reputation. So I asked to speak to someone about the claim amount. I was assigned a CM and asked to schedule an appointment to speak with them. The nearest appointment was a few days away and I need this resolved ASAP because I do not have a working washer and need it ASAP.

    I called the CM and was able to speak to her quickly. I explained my dilemma and she explained that they only give 70% of the price. They look for washers similar to mines and base the amount on that. The problem with that is they look for the cheapest washer which is a brand that I have never used and would not buy. Then if you state that you are giving me a Lowes e-card then why would you be looking on Home Depot website for pricing???? Well that is because it was cheaper on there. Not to mention the washer you are looking at has to be ordered so I was looking to be without a major appliance for a month and I was told it would take 2-3 weeks before I received the funds. There is no way I could not wash for a month. The CM told me to just use one of my credit cards to go ahead and purchase it. Which I was appalled by that statement.

    I asked to speak to someone one else and she told me that there was no one I could speak to because she was the highest escalating person. I asked if she had a supervisor and she stated yes but her supervisor does not speak to people on the phone. They only do administrative work. I told her that I was recording the call and that would report that she refused to let me speak to anyone else and she told me that her calls are recorded too and she know what she told me.

    After going round and round with her. I decided I was done talking to her. She stated that she would go ahead and process the original amount quoted and I disconnected the call. I then had to go through extreme measures to get some assistance which the consumer should not have to do. I did eventually found someone to help me but this after I was stressed out, which due to some health problems I am not supposed to do. If this is how things are going to go every time something breaks in my home then I am not sure I want to keep CHW. When I signed up the person I spoke to obviously mislead me.

    Let me start by saying this is my first appliance claim ever. A very nice young man came to my home 01/20/2022 to Survey my appliances. When he was done I gave him my deductible of $65. I received an email later that evening stating that I’m being offer a gift to purchase a new freestanding range at Lowes for a certain amount of money. I then accepted the offer because my range is over 13 years old and don’t expect Choice warranty to pay for the type range that I really want. But things got crazy when they sent me an insulting offer for my broken microwave. Did you even look at the Lowes website to see that the offer could not cover the cost of any microwave. After having to pay $65.00 a month along with any taxes that you may include Choice Warranty didn’t have the dignity to cover the cost of an over the range microwave? So why am I paying this money each month? They are making this experience very hard and on me.

    When we had a red-flagged gas leak on our Dacor Range, I called CHW for a serviceman. They found someone relatively quickly and since the repair parts were no longer available, CHW offered a gift card from Lowe's to replace the stove. First of all, to steer the purchase of a new stove to only one purveyor seems unethical! Why are our choices limited to only those manufacturers and brands represented by Lowe's?!!! But the big issue is the fact that it will take up to 30 days to get the Gift Card from Lowe's (there should be an immediate from CHW!!!), we were faced with the decision of waiting 30 days to look for a stove and cooking our meals in the microwave until then, or making the purchase without the partial payment from the Gift Card. We decided to purchase outright. Unfortunately, with the current conditions in stocking appliances we have to wait until the end of February before that Range is shipped to Lowe's!! Extremely frustrating!!

    If we were able to have a check for the replacement money in a timely manner - not in a Lowe's gift card format - and to be able to shop where we wished, we would have been able to look with other retailers until we found a range in stock and actually be able to cook again within just a few days. If we had waited for the gift card to arrive, and then ordered from Lowe's, we would most likely been without a range for up to 60 days!! Bottom line - we paid full price for a range at Lowe's that will not be in stock for 30 days (it was the only model from their limited selection that met our needs for price and use) and will have a gift card for $669 that we will be forced to use to make an additional purchase at Lowe's...great deal for CHW, doubly great deal for Lowe's, a horrible deal for us, the insured!!!
