This was a wonderful experience. One day after I called Choice, an electric company (ACE10 Home Services) sent me an email with the next day to solve the problem. The technician called me that he was coming here and when he showed up, he listened to the problems and solved each quickly. Praise goes out to the company but most of all the technician!

We were able to have our refrigerator serviced the same day we filed our claim.! It was obvious something was going out on our fridge from the loud noise it was making. Andrew was very knowledgeable and had the parts he needed and got it fixed same day. He cleaned up after he was through. So thankful we didn't lose any of the food stored in it.

Do not purchase a warranty from this company. Our oven couldn’t be fixed and they offered 1/2 the replacement cost and we have to pay to have it installed, we are also out the service fee. There was no negotiation or reason for the money offered even though I asked several times what the amount offered was based on.

The plumber was courteous, respectful, punctual, professional & very knowledgeable. He showed me the problem & explained how he would address it. After he repaired the problem he returned the area to its original clean condition. I would highly recommend this company to family & friends.

Dennis was right on time though he had to put on chains to access our road and driveway. He was very efficient in his work and diagnosed the problem within minutes, ordered the part and made an additional appointment to fix the leak. Choice made it easy to make an appointment and have a service repairman in a timely manner.

I spoke with Stanley yesterday, I continue to get denied for every thing I need fixed at my home. When I purchased this warranty I was persuaded by the sales rep of when my ac broke and I would have CHW to help me with my hard ship. Well my ac leaked freon and CHW is denying me saying that a freon leak is not normal wear and tear! What a Joke!

The repairman was friendly, knowledgeable and honest. The day before I had a repairman from Reagan's Heating and Plumbing and he told me I had no freon in the air conditioning unit and there was a leak. The repairman sent by Choice, Henshaw's heating and air, said the unit was full of freon and there was no leak. The unit was and is in good working order.

We have called several times about the same heater needing repaired. Many times it was about waiting on the parts needed but after the heater had gone out for the 3rd time during cold weather conditions, we finally got a call from the contractor stating that the parts and labor were being covered up to a certain amount and that we were going to be responsible for paying the remaining 1000+ dollars that were not being covered by CHW. After receiving another call from the contractor, he stated that we were getting a whole new furnace but that we would most likely end up paying for the labor not covered. This leaves us feeling uneasy about the home warranty coverage we purchased and I have had very little contact with the staff at CHW to keep me apprised of the situation. I am confused about this whole situation and am beginning to feel frustrated on my one of very few days off that I have to be concerned that I may be paying for more than I should.

My heater for my house was not working and I put in a claim and got a respond on the same day for 1:00pm to 5:pm. When I got home at Noon the heater was working so I canceled the appointment, but I got fast response which was nice.

Had a issue with sewer, took a good 2 weeks for them to finally inspect issue then denied claim, during the process told a couple of lies, in regard to what the plumbing company said, and what they claim.

Overall, the agent who helped me was great. The only problem I had with our conversation is that the agent's speech was way too fast!! Words and sentences were all run together, made it hard for me to decipher what he was saying.

He seemed to be really confused. I had to explain it several times. I had already filed the claim on a microwave but it took a while for them to get it done and so I had to refile it. It was hard to hear each other too. We had a bad connection.

My a/c stop to blow air, I did my claim next day. They did an appointment with HVAC company. The company call me, they come and fix it. The technician very kind and respectful. The job turn easy, simple and efficient. Great company.

I had a lot of difficulty getting a technician to come. My first appointment was a no show, my second was cancelled 5 hours before it was suppose to happen. Both times I had made adjustments to my work schedule to be home. I spoke with a representative on the phone about it and that we were 5 days from my initial request, and I had 2 appointments which were no show or cancelled last minute. She just kept repeating the same thing and was mostly unhelpful. I had a 3rd appointment, and I received an email that had the time and date wrong so I had to contact the technician first thing in the morning to confirm what we discussed.
Then I received an email stating I had missed my appointment that was scheduled with the technician for the following day. The technician arrived within the time frame I had discussed with his boss and was professional and addressed the problem in a timely manner. To sum up, I was very happy with the technician and the company he works for. I was not happy with the scheduling process or the response to the issues which arose.

After several loads of wash, there was a abundance of water under both the dryer and washer. Upon further inspection, I could not find where water was leaking. Service tech arrived, inspected washer, ran several cycles, and could not find leak. Tech then explained several areas where possible leaks might occur.

Ravi ** was superb in explaining coverages and protection plans. He made it easy for me to understand. He was very detailed and answered all of my questions leaving me completely secure to purchase his recommended plan. I compared to other plans and what some of my friends have shared about the "other" plans (not Choice) that were not given the best service when needed. I am happy to have selected Choice Home Warranty to protect my investments.

Ice and water maker on the fridge stopped working and was leaving a puddle on the floor before we shut the water off to the fridge. Mario found the problem and fixed it quickly. Very friendly, explained what he was doing, and had it working properly in no time. We would gladly use his services again if needed.

I put a claim in during the morning and the serviceman was here at 5:15 PM. He knew what he needed, checked his inventory and found it was in his truck. He replaced the parts, tested the machine and we were good to go. Very happy!

First contractor had 2 no-shows and was non-responsive when we tried to call. Second contractor was fine, however, time was lost 2 days by wife from work while being available during no-shows. Have no issue in past with Choice and understand that employers are having worker shortages everywhere. But a courtesy call by the contractor would have been appreciated.

He arrived on time, communicated frequently, and fixed what was broken. He asked questions about the garbage disposal before he began working to appropriately diagnose the problem. After he finished he checked to ensure everything worked properly. Great job and I would definitely recommend him to someone.

After three attempts we got it fixed. First tech said they do not work on the springs or cables so he could not fix it. Second tech called. Was the same as the first and he could not fix it. The third tech finally fixed it. Was without a garage door for over 2 weeks. So yes they fixed it but took forever. Choice needs to ask more questions to figure out the right tech to send out.

Contractor was great, they are the only reason for a 2 rating. Choice is horrible, will be calling to learn my escape options. I have warranties on 2 other properties with different companies. While they all suck, Choice is the worse.

Within 18hrs after work order was placed on Sunday. The job was taken care of and door opener was good as new in 15 minutes, following day! In the unfortunate future, if I have another appliance issue. I will gladly place a work order for Choice Warranty, to assist me in getting repairs completed efficiently. An eight year old faucet handle broke off, leaving us with no hot water in the bathroom sink. Choice could not find a technician and asked if I could. I have used plumbers in this area before and found a great one. The process for reimbursement was cumbersome and time consuming, all the while that the plumber is already on the clock! I followed all the necessary steps, only to have Choice refuse to cover the cost. Said they only covered wear and tear, which is what we had. Two years ago I paid Choice nearly $4,000 to insure my two homes. This is the first request for repair and they will not cover an item that is clearly within the policy. Of course I am mad and out the cash!

Washer was filling up with water and is hard to choose the washing cycle. Was not able to be fixed because part is no longer available. Waiting to see if Choice Home Warranty will be replacing the washer or not. Would be nice if I could replace it with a top loader and not a front loader.

This repair went well. A more serious previous repair, a slab leak, the Choice Home warranty provider wanted 2.5x market rate to make the repair ($15,000) and the max coverage is $3,000. I found another plumber to make the same repair for $6,500, but Choice Warranty refused to allow me to use another licensed Plumber so they could stiff me out of my $3,000 in coverage.

I have been trying to get a claim settled since September 2021 and here it is February 2022 and now I am told the claim won’t be covered. Won’t recommend and won’t be renewing. If I could choose zero stars I would go with that.

Few weeks back, our dryer started making a very loud noise. I decided to file a claim with CHW and within few days they had me set-up with a service guy to come look at the dryer. The service guy was able to fix it and now the dryer does not make any noise. I am grateful for choosing CHW.

I filed a claim that was assigned to three different companies before someone finally came. I had notified CHW that the technician has to be vaccinated to enter our building and the first two companies had to cancel on the day of because they were not vaccinated. The third company came and determined the control board had broken. This was then determined to not be normal wear and tear and my claim was rejected. I am not sure of the purpose of a home warranty service if it doesn't cover a situation where repeated usage of the appliance caused it to go bad.

We were very pleased with the Rapid Response for our AC Repair. The Technician was very prompt, fixed our outside Unit. We had cool air right away. He also told us to get our Unit Serviced in the Spring and Fall.

I called on Sunday to file a claim. Later that day I received an email saying that the repairman would be at my home on Tuesday. I was given the necessary information about who and when they would arrive. The repairman called and said he would be here within 30 minutes.He fixed my garage door quickly and made sure it worked properly. I was very pleased with entire service, from you and repair people.

This is the first time we have had a warranty on a home. I was told lots of stories of companies taking forever to send people out and fighting the repairs and generally making things difficult. I have NOT had that experience! Shortly after moving in we actually had to put in two separate claims. I had one repair guy here the next day and the other the following day. Both repair guys were awesome, fixed the issues quickly and we paid out service fee and that was that. So far this warranty has more than paid for itself and I would recommend Choice to anyone!

Each maintenance person was very professional workers who came out for servicing. Everything is working fine. Unfortunately, some of electrical problem won't be an easy fix. But overall everything is fine. I think my favorite person was the refrigerator guy was my favorite.

Plumber could not recreate leak. He thought it best to reseal shower to prevent further damage to wood surrounding shower. Choice Home Warranty said that was not covered as it is a maintenance issue. 3rd attempt to use warranty. 3rd time it was either not covered or couldn't find anyone to do work.

We had some miscommunication on when we would be available. Still in flux but working together to seek a mutual time. Chw assigns a day and a range of repair times. I believe it would be better to call the client and finalize the time once.

Between the time I submit a claim and someone finally calls is longer than it used to be. I do not receive updates as to when parts come in or when my repair is going to be completed. Not only has the monthly price increased, but the service charge has doubled. As a fixed income senior citizen, I can understand why others shop for different companies. Your company used to be very straightforward as to what was going on with claims. But, not now. Then to have my monthly and service calls jump so high without knowledge. I will start looking for another company. At least keep me updated on the current 2 open claims.

Updated on 04/29/2022: The entire process of putting in a claim and getting service was easy and seamless. I am also impressed that Sears is one of the service providers for my appliance. The work still needs to be completed but I expect it should go well
Original Review: Was very easy to do. You can’t go wrong with being able to cancel at any time! I’ve spent more on just a maintenance policy. But when something goes wrong, all repairs from those Maintenance policies are your responsibility. Was time for me to try one that covers repairs.

I received a call today from Tal concerning a home warranty. Not a surprise, prices have gone up, but the deductible is lower. He was easy to talk with and explained the different options/programs. I have had a warranty with them for about 3 years and they have always had a person come within a day to at least diagnose the problem with whatever it is. Unfortunately, it takes time for the correct item to come, but that is beyond their control. I do recommend this company. I haven't had to use them often, but when something breaks, it is nice to know that if the item can't be fixed, they will replace it.

Explained everything I required to make a decision in a brief period of time. Insurance agent was thorough and pleasant to deal with. I had been considering purchasing this product but did not decide to do so until I spoke to the representative. The most important aspect of the purchase for me was the ability to cancel this coverage if I am dissatisfied at any time and receive a refund for the unused time frame.

Choice warranty has been bad with my claims. 1st -My first claim was Oven went out. I paid my $65 deductible to have someone come out and diagnose that my oven needed to be replaced. For whatever reason, they wanted to send a 2nd technician out. I waited over 7 weeks since my claim date to get this 2nd technician scheduled. Meanwhile, my tenant didn't have an oven which was considered an essential service. I therefore couldn't wait any longer (without having a lawsuit) and had to buy a new oven without any insurance. I pleaded with Choice to no avail. 2nd - my GE microwave went out. I paid my $65 and the technician said it needed to be replaced. Instead of replacing it, they offered me a lowes gift card for $191. The lowest priced, comparable microwave I could find on sale at Lowes was $228 (not including tax). Not including delivery fee. Not including installation.
I wanted to talk to someone and it took 2 weeks to even talk to 'my Choice representative'. When I did talk to her, she said that's all they could offer and showed me a Hotpoint microwave at some discounted store. Once again, that didn't include shipping or installation. So, once again, I bit the bullet and paid approx $400 for a new microwave, delivery, and intallation. By the way, my 'representative', said she didn't have the time to show how this Hotpoint was comparable to my GE microwave. I gave them 2 stars because they did, at least, have a repairman go out. They did at least offer $191. Not good enough. Beware of the small print.

I have not reported this problem twice. Choice HW could not locate a plumber and when I tried he could not arrive in time to meet the report due date. I have now started again after a plumber came and did maintenance on the heater. After performing maintenance it did still not work. Now he is submitting his report with a photo, but a photo can not show that the fire 'box' has failed so I do not know if repairs will be authorized. If not I will change insurance companies to one that makes it easier to get help.

It is very inconsiderate when an appointment is confirmed and hours before, you reschedule. To top it off, I didn't even receive a phone call, only an e-mail. I didn't see the email until hours later and in the meantime, I had arranged to be home during the four-hour period of my scheduled appointment. I've only had two claims thus far, and both times, the same thing has happened. Not COOL! Three strikes and you're out.

Dishwasher was leaking. I notified Choice Home and received verification that they had received my claim almost immediately and that it had been assigned to a repair company. Within a day I received a text from the repair company with a scheduled date for inspection. The company called about 30 minutes before they arrived and resolved my problem. Could not have gone any better.

I submitted a furnace issue claim this afternoon and called to see if there was any additional help available to get my claim in the queue as it is 15-20 degrees where I live. The rep on the phone was very kind and let me know the claim had already made it to their dispatch department & being sent to repair companies in my area; I should be getting a call within the next four-six hours from an HVAC repair company.

Service requested for my refrigerator which was not cooling. Repair person scheduled for 5 days later. Items needed for repair were not available. Parts were ordered to be sent directly to me and return service appointment scheduled to be installed two weeks later. I expected a quicker turnaround time.

The technician was great. The time leading up to his arrival, not so much... I had an appointment scheduled between 1-5 pm. At around noon I received a text and email that my appointment had been updated to between 2 and 3:30. At 5:40 I still hadn't seen a repairman or received any updates. I called Choice for an update and was told the technician was running behind and someone would be at my house by 8pm. 4 hours after the end of my arrival window. I understand that things happen, appointments get pushed and last longer than usual.
What I have an issue with is that no one bothered to contact me to let me know. Customer Service is something that I and others value greatly along with my time. Obviously it's not something that is valued here. After my call to Choice I was promptly contacted by the technician that did my service. He advised me that the service call had been pulled from whomever it was originally scheduled with and given to him and that he was on his way. He arrived shortly and took care of the necessary repairs. I'm sure all of these technicians are tracked electronically throughout their routes. Although they might not take the time to contact upcoming jobs There is no reason why the company itself could not. Show that you take value in your customer by treating them respectably and they will do the same.

They were a little late, but once they arrived got to work immediately on the shower drainage problem and completed job within 1/2 hour. However, for some reason they were not informed about the water tank leak and were not prepared. BUT they returned the next day on time, and resolved the problem in 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend SC Jetting. They were professional all the way!

I had a very bad experience with Choice Home Warranty with my well repair. Choice was unable to provide a technician to do the repair. I had to take over the process. I found a technician. When working with a technician outside of your network it is impossible many time to obtain a pre-authorization prior to work being completed. It is impractical to ask them to take the well apart to diagnose the problem, put it back together, then return to fix the problem later, once I have a pre-authorization. Companies not in your network simply can't do business in such an inefficient manner, and it is unreasonable to ask them to do so. They are not willing to abide by a warranty companies restrictive guidelines as they have no relationship with the warranty company.
If Choice can't take care of the issue and you are going to ask your customer to handle the repair, it is unreasonable to restrict the process with unreasonable guidelines. I understand Choice is in business to make money and this is a great loophole you use to deny claims. I am fed up with the process and disappointed with my reimbursement. I have recommended Choice to many people over the last 2 years. My wife who works for a real estate closing company has recommended choice exclusively at work for years. These recommendations will stop due to the poor performance of choice over this repair. I don't do business with companies that use loopholes to get out of their responsibilities. I will not be renewing my contract with Choice and I would appreciate you taking me off of your advertisement list.

I reported my claim on Feb 6. The first time I could get a technician was Feb 16. He had to order a part and scheduled the repair completion for March 2. The part arrived promptly but was the wrong part so now we are waiting and hoping the right part arrives before the scheduled appointment. If the stove is repaired on March 2 we will have been without a working oven for 3 1/2 weeks. The repair person was perfectly capable and personable and I have no complaints about him, only the wait times involved.

Technician was great. He told me what was the problem but Choice tells me something else. Not sure how they can tell it was overloaded. Have a call with choice today. Waiting for that explanation. No catastrophic failure. This is a second washer in the basement. We use the one upstairs the most. It started as a small leak about 2 months ago that got worse over time. Still works just got tired of having to mop after washing.

I found the repairman knowledge and responsive to my needs. Upon arrival he was able to diagnose in short order what caused my furnace to stop heating. Since the day was a cold one and I was without heat overnight I appreciated getting my furnace repaired in a timely manner. The repairman arrived on time and took care of the problem posthaste.

The first time I set up tech for repair I was given wrong number for tech by CHW. So set up second tech and was given at time for 7am-11am that change to 3pm-8pm. Then no one answered when I call to check on tech. Even left messages and not even a call back. Then was told once again told appointment was changed until Saturday at 3pm until 8pm. And even sent emails back and forth with your company and got no help.

Paid for a full five years, was given an extra year because of that. Because I called in my order, I was able to save even more. Also, something Choice covers with their plan is the plumbing, all the way to the street (this could cost Thousands of $$$, without this additional coverage). Now, I pay an incredibly small deductible of $65 per service call, and they cover everything else. What a great deal!

We have been customers for several years and today I was so happy to have your warranty as our washer went out and having a tech come in was great, the transmission went out and your company quickly decided to replace item. This is where my satisfaction ended. I got the settlement which was only $343 and knowing appliance I immediately escalated to a case manager in which I spoke to today and discussed my dissatisfaction with the amount and she even agreed from her research on a comparison model would be $500, she relayed that to the claims team and they denied it. So after trying to escalate it again I was told that was a final decision but I am not happy at all after I accepted the e-card and then finding out it could take 30 days to issue it WHICH is UNACCEPTABLE.
After I came home I was more and more disgusted wondering how for up to 30 days I would wash my clothes since your settlement is not comparable to get us into a new washer. I have read the contract agreement and understand your side of it but it is not right and not good customer service. This is what I would like either settle at the $620 for a comparable Maytag washer or offer to give me a per diem for a laundromat $20 a day. I look forward to you rescuing the goodwill of your company.

I have Choice Warranty for 2 properties and usually have a very pleasant experience with them. I really was shocked that this was such a poor experience. I had to constantly call to get something done. Every time I called there was no urgency and everyone had a different answer that lead to the same result nothing. Offered 800 to replace in-wall double oven. Starting price (without delivery, installation, disposal) is $3000. Equivalent model (size, features) is $4000. Had to deal with obnoxious rep to get slight increase only after I shopped competitors and found out this offer needed to be increased 50% to meet even the next worst company. Agreement states replacement costs are covered when unit is replaced. Buy-out terms does not state replacement is not covered but rep tried to use logic gymnastics to keep from honoring that payment. "Cash" buy-out is actually retail gift card locking out any opportunity to find a workable and affordable option with the peanuts thrown at us. Definitely a waste of our premium. Never again.

I was offered several promotions to purchase a yearly warranty. However, I chose to purchase a month to month plan which fit my budget. I felt the representative was rude and rushed me off the phone because I choose a different plan. He ended the call by saying my policy would take effect in 30 days. He didn't explain how my monthly payments would come out or how I would receive the information on my home warranty plan. I had to call back to speak to someone else who provided me with the information.

I am very concerned about how customers are being treated by this company. Repeated attempts to communicate with employees who hang up if they don’t want to deal with you. Your instructions are complicated and go without getting full explanation on how to submit. I have without proper support from your people made the attempt to talk with someone at least 3 times. Meanwhile, I am dealing with a leaking toilet, creating further damage to my home. I would very much like to know how I go about getting permission to use the contractor I have found to fix my issues.

Spoke with case manager, who was late for the discussion and once she called I was told that the claim would not be covered due to it being a pre-existing condition. I was not told how she determined it was pre-existing. After have a team of the "Leak Doctors" using non-invasive leak detection with ultrasound and thermography found the leak location within a copper pipe. They also told me that it was impossible to determine when this started. It could have been 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week. Just impossible to know which would exclude a pre-existing possibility. It just happened!! Which would also preclude the fact that a "case manager" sitting at a remote location could lie or give false information by thinking they could determine a pre-existing situating. I'm extremely disappointed since I wasn't expecting your team to cover all costs just maybe a portion my insurance would not cover.

You bet! #1, I had A/C repair done and the tech. charged me $400.00 over and above the normal cost, ($85.00) and I had to pay it before work was completed and spent two weeks in hot weather before repairs were done! #2 My garbage disposal went out, the repairman called it in, he replaced a $125.00 disposal with a cheap little disposal, although it works, it wasn't what should have been replaced. # 3 Dishwasher went out, repairman said it was by an electric surge, (Not covered.) My research to replace the affected part cost $57.00! #4 Now a clothes washer failed, and as per your retort the washer was to be replaced, (A Maytag,) subsequently you offered $342.00 as a cash out by Lowe's Credit card. The replacement is in the $700.00 to $900.00 range! This is not equitable for me, but it is for your company. Try this; do what your company said it would do, replace the machine.

I liked the Select Electrical Services that came to my home. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Choice Home Warranty had chosen a great electrical contractor. Even though I am not too knowledgeable, they went into details explaining me what went wrong. I wish they would cover more. I was disappointed on that point. I felt they should have came out sooner because it was an emergency with no lights.
CHW should revise their policy without a doubt. Would you like to be in the dark for a week until someone on CHW decides how much should be covered. I know you won't. Even the HVAC that is heating and air conditioning - a person from CHW must be there sooner. Put yourself in my place. Would you want to be without heat for 13 days. The answer is "No." So please revise your policy. Some items in the house like electric and heating/air conditioning should come out at once. Meaning no waiting period. The bottom line is one is living the stone age. So stop thinking about your policy and be doers for the necessities in one's home.

The first company was a no show. I called or maybe emailed CHW and they sent Sears Home Repair a few days later. I was totally blown away with him. He assessed the washer right away and threw some water in the machine, plugged it in and it was fixed. I would like to get a the SRH for all of my washer & dryer calls. My units are Kenmore and I feel like he knows more about his own brand.

The contactor was very polite, professional, and explained the circumstance of the issue very well. Highly recommended. However, I believe the decision that CHW made was not right in my case. Adding more freon without sealing the leak only means I will be calling you back in few months and paying another service fee. The response to have a tech come out and diagnose the repairs to our washer was great. The tech arrived promptly and was very professional. The problem is with Lydia. Our washer was deemed unrepairable. Lydia was argumentative and rude. She promised us a check in three weeks. We still have not received the check and multiple phone calls to her over a week have not been returned. This turned a positive experience into an extremely negative one. Calls to other managers have not been returned as well.

James was exception. He was the third representative in sales I spoke. He never rushed me, knowledgeable answered all my concerns, listened to my concerns, and never pushed the product on me. Both reps I spoke with the day before send me erroneous information and the next hung up on me immediately when I mentioned I needed to think it over.

Repair person arrived at stated time. Did a thorough check of the appliance and determined the problem. Necessary parts were ordered. Was advised 7-10 days for parts to arrive. Will schedule time for repairs. Downtime seems excessive but no complaints in the regard. So far, pleasant experience. Time will tell as to final solution.

Choice usually responds promptly and moves quickly even on a Saturday. Some of the service agents are not that great but they stay with the problem till it's fixed. Servicemen should check for warranties on appliances and equipment, Only after 3 or 4 visits did a knowledgeable technician indicated that the brand had universal problems with their equipment and had issued recalls.

My hot water heater decided it needed a break, so I contacted Choice Warranty. The call to them went very smoothly with no long hold time. They let me know it could take up to 24 hours before I received a follow-up with someone to be dispatched to my home. It happened within 4 hours, and the appointment was scheduled the next morning between 7am-11am. I was expecting a much later date and time to have my unit fixed, and have to boil water to take a bath. I'm extremely pleased with the fast and efficient service from Choice Warranty! I would definitely recommend to everyone I know!

Choice sent Allstar services to fix my heater. They changed the control board in my attic and it works fine. The next day we came home and smelt something like a burning smell in the hall by the heater vent. The smell was all through the house. I called Allstar service and told them I smell something burning where they did the work. They told me they can't help me I have to call choice home warranty back. I told them it smells like smoke and they did not care. I called choice and told them the same thing and asked if they could send someone because I smelt a burning smell. They said they could not unless they open a new service order. I told them my wife is afraid to go in the house. They did not care. So I took care of the problem myself and I will cancel with choice home warranty. I can not do business with a company that cares more about the 75.00 from a new work order than the health and safety of their customers.

I was not prepared for the technician to only diagnose the problem on his first visit. He determined what the problem was but had to leave to wait for final approval by Choice to fix the problem. That should be explained before the technician arrives.

I have been a faithful customer for over 2 years. Never missed a payment. Never had a claim until now. My dryer was making noise. The technician came out. He said the motor was going out. The next day the company told me they would rather replace my dryer than fix it because due to his age is about 7 years old. They're only giving me $330 to replace $1,000 dryer. After waiting a week to speak to a specialist hopefully get the price raised I was informed the best they could do is change it from Lowe's gift receipts to a check that I would have to wait even longer for.
My wife is disabled veteran. I am just disabled with a bad back. We had to go a couple of weeks not being able to do laundry because we couldn't haul it to the laundromat and now I'm going to have to fork out $600 we don't have to help pay for a new dryer. So I question the point of even paying these warranty companies. We probably be better off putting $60 a month away in a separate account until these accidents happen and do things our own way cuz it's not like they actually help us at all. It's just another rip-off scheme.

The technician came out and resolved my electrical issue in my bathroom. He listened to what the issue was and had it fixed within minutes. It’s really hard to find technicians that are honest and knowledgeable but Choice Home Warranty found one. The weather didn’t stop the technician either. It was one of the worst snow storm days in Chicago and he still showed up! I give him 2 thumbs up and 5 stars!!

The technician that came to my house was courteous and very professional. He finished the job within a acceptable amount of time and took the time to give my suggestions on how I can keep my washer and dryer running efficiently for the future. He took additional time to show me before and after pictures of the end result from his cleaning out the lint filter lines and ensured everything he was working on was enough to get my dryer up and running again. I initiated my service call on a Sunday afternoon. I was called early Monday morning telling me a repairman would be there the following Saturday. I informed the caller that was unacceptable that it was 57 in my house with an expected low of 33 that night. I received a second call Monday afternoon explaining they found a repairman who would be there Sunday. I again explained my situation. The caller told me she would cancel that repairman and would work on getting someone else. Early Tuesday morning 7:30 I checked my email and went on with my day. At 9:30 I received a call from the repairman telling me he was on his way. I met him at the house and my unit was repaired. I was happy with the knowledge that Mr ** had in repairing my unit. I would recommend Frost Mechanical to my friends for their AC and heating needs. They were knowledgeable, friendly and willing to do whatever was needed to get my heat working.

I truly believe that you all use the same company every time as do not look for a new one. Why would you allow someone to say that they will come out on a Tuesday when here it is on Thursday when the heat pump went out and somebody come out on Tuesday. So that's that's to me. That's ridiculous.

Well you probably know by now not one person reads through what’s covered in the contract. We sign up blindly thinking all appliances are covered. Well I was quoted a dis conclusion for my wine fridge. I got email saying read page such and such paragraph whatever line such and such. I paid $1500 for a 4 year subscription and NEVER have I got a claim paid. Watch out. They are a scam.

It took 4 weeks for someone to show up for the repair due to scheduling and workers dropping the ball but never notifying the customer. The first company quite with no notice to the customer and it took another two weeks to find someone else to come do the repair. Completely awful return for repair on a washer. 1 rating.

Quick response which is always good-yet it seems that the problems I have does not get solved completely. There is always some explanation as to why this or that is not covered. Could be that the first time someone is sent, they are not quite experienced enough. Then I get the right one but the problem has multiplied and become an exception to the warranty. Frustrating.

We have had to replace 2 separate appliances. Our double wall ovens were approximately $2200, however, we were only given $667 (the equivalent of $602 after deducting the service fee). We are now in the process of having to replace our dishwasher. Again, not given anything close to the amount needed to replace it. Given $246 (had to pay 2 service fees on this, so the equivalent of $116). It is going to cost approximately $600 to replace and that is for one that does not have as many features as our current dishwasher. To me this is not replacing anything, it is simply giving us a few dollars towards our purchase. I would love for someone to show me where to get a double wall over for $667 and a dishwasher for $246!

I put in a claim for the first time. It took three times to get a person out to see my dryer. They kept scheduling me without asking when I was available. Then I needed a part was told that instead of fixing my dryer they would replace it. I have a front loader large capacity LG and they were going to give me $350 in Lowe’s gift cards. I called to speak to a claims adjuster took me six weeks to finally talk to someone. She offered me $580 for my replacement my replacement cost $800. When I get my check I will cancel this home warranty. Very disappointed.

Don't ever get a warranty with this company, they won't actually ever cover anything and will find some excuse to not cover what they claim to cover. We have an older furnace so we got this coverage knowing that it would need repairs and possibly even replacement. When we had an issue they refused to cover the repairs because they claimed our furnace was "too dirty" so they rejected the claim saying we had neglected the system. I'm not sure how that is the case considering it's a 20+ year old furnace and we had 1 issue in the 7 years we've lived in our house.

Choice Home Warranty scheduled a plumber; but after reviewing the comments on the company; we asked for another company. Without hesitation Choice Home Warranty said they will reassign the repair work to another company. Within the day they had us scheduled with another plumber the next day. Pipe had split in the attic and dripped on the ceiling in bathroom. Plumber assessed the work and went outside to call Choice Home Warranty. I have to admit that concerned me and I was afraid they were going to deny the charge for some unknown reason. Technician returned with his tools and Choice Home Warranty had approved all expenses, minus the $85 service fee. Repairs were done in 20 minutes and we are very satisfied with Choice Home Warranty.

We did not receive adequate payouts to replace our broken appliances, which goes against what you all claim to do for your customers. The customer service managers did not care at all that we are upset, and did nothing to make us want to sign up again for your services once our year is up. Your contract states you’ll match to the newest appliance, but you only send out Lowe’s gift cards…that won’t let us get Kenmore appliances. Once that was brought up, the lady said you all would send a check to us. Good…but the two checks won’t add up to enough money to replace even one of our appliances, let alone both. This is unacceptable, terrible customer service, and not what your contract says you all will do.

The call in service to the automated system was not very convenient, had to wait over 38 hour in a cold house in 18 degree weather. Did not get the 6 hour call back as the description suggested? Had to communicate my concern via the automated service the following day.

Shane of MYElectrician518 arrived just before 8:00 am, well within the expected time of 7-10 am. He worked for three hours diagnosing every breaker and outlet on the main floor of our house. He finally discovered an outlet that was melted and burned. Unfortunately, the circuit breaker never disabled the circuit and his persistence in locating the problem probably saved us from an imminent fire! He replaced the socket and the circuit breaker that had not worked as expected. He also advised us to consider splitting this very long circuit that provides power to numerous light sockets, TV’s, internet modem, router and several pieces of audio equipment spread across two rooms into two separate circuits.
When he left sometime after 11:00 am, we discovered another socket that was not working. It was located on the other side of the wall where the damaged socket was located. Not knowing what else to do, I called him and explained the issue. He was more than 20 miles from our home but returned immediately to correct this final socket. By 12:30 pm everything was functioning as expected.
I received a phone call from a gentleman from Choice who asked me to verify that Shane had been to our home two times. Shane called shortly thereafter to ask us to verify the two trips as he was having some difficulty asking Choice to pay him for the two visits. I called Choice and spoke with a service representative and explained what had happened. She asked me to call Shane once again to report again that he had made two visits to our home. Shane was a gem. I hope you pay for his second visit and utilize his services as frequently as possible. (I rated the service 4 “stars”)

Upon calling in to request a membership, I was connected with a gentleman who couldn't have been more polite and helpful. He suggested the plan he thought would be best for me. I signed up for the Warranty plan. I also mention he is cheaper than American Home Shield. Also, the customer service reps are better educated and definitely more polite. I couldn't be happier.
