    The repairs I turned in were addressed. The first repair with my dryer went fine. The second repair with the plumbing didn’t go well. After the plumber did the repairs you refused to pay them.     Dear customer service, had my septic back up on 3/18/2022. Requested a claim for septic tank repair and was sent to a plumber for a blockage. I continued to call various times on 3/18/2022 thru 03/21/2022 trying to get help with issue. Called again Monday morning about update on my septic problem. Your customer team knew I needed a septic tank pumped to fix the problem. All of a sudden, they stated my warranty coverage did not cover septic tank pumping. After all that I went thru, no toilets, showers or sinks were backed up, this is the answer I get from your service department. This is totally unacceptable service practice., I could of had this fixed during the weekend if you had stated my septic was not covered. I would not recommend this warranty service to anyone. I will probably cancel my policy with you. Thanks for nothing.

    Oh very disappointed… I was so excited to be able to use my policy, only for my policy to deny a valid claim. Because the technician decided that my issue was from freezing even though it hasn’t frozen. Even the technician told me that this policy is not worth having unless it’s a major appliance.     The technician was great… He was very nice and did what he could to assess the situation. He worked hard to try to fix the items and determined that they could not be fixed so he recommended that they be replaced. I have called multiple times to express my frustration and disappointment with CHW and their replacement policy. It is terrible to say the least! I have had a home warranty with a different company for years that I was completely satisfied with, but when we bought this house CHW was highly recommended so we switched. I have regretted switching from my first claim. I swear by home warranties and won’t go without one, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the replacement policy… It is not reasonable at all for the home owner!!

When I signed up for the service the sales was clear that it would be for a REPLACEMENT not just a small balance to go towards another.     The repair person who came to my home was professional and timely. CHW decide to replace my range top. They offered less than 1/3 of the price to replace the range top, which did not take into consideration the features and size of my current range top. The claims manager consistently missed scheduled telephone calls and was unprepared. After a week of my calling 2-3 times per day the Claims Manager called me and then 10 seconds into the call she asked if she could immediately call me back like we had a bad connection. She NEVER called me back. Again I placed multiple calls per day trying to reach the Claims Manager. Even when I had a scheduled time, I would not receive a telephone. It took close to two months to resolve my claim.

    We had an HVAC at our home that required servicing in order for us to comply with their owner's manual. As a result, the service valve on our air conditioner developed a leak. We contacted, at our expense two different service outlets for confirmation of this issue. We paid, at our expense to have the unit topped off with R22 Freon ($400/lb) and contacted Choice for their obligation to repair or replace the unit. Three contractors, including their representative recommended replacing the unit since R22 was no longer available in the U.S. Our claim for this was denied as the valve was not considered normal wear and tear despite their requirement that the unit be serviced from season to season. Despite having a six year contract with them, we canceled our policy and chose another company.

    We personally on our home have 2-10 Home Warranty which we got when we bought our house almost 5 years ago. My father was so impressed he decided to go with a home warranty company.     A technician came out and determined the cause of the problem in a timely manner. The only downside so far is that even though I have accepted the settlement: the website stated that I would have to wait up to 30 days to receive the ecard as payment. In my opinion that seems way too long to process a payment. And since we personally didn't want to wait that long we are unable to use that toward the purchase of a new dishwasher.

    Please note: we hate doing dishes so the inconvenience outweighed cost of replacing the unit as fast as possible prior to receiving the claim payment. Additionally, we were simply unwilling to go any longer without the dishwasher. If the payment wouldve been guaranteed within 5 to 7 business days that would have been more favorable. At the time of this review it has only been 1 business day since the settlement choice was received over the weekend. However, we have been without the dishwasher for 7 days at this point.

    I had requested a quote from another service provider as well as Choice. Ultimately because of cost I went with the other provider. Tracey called and spoke with me directly about the services offered with Choice and gave me some bullet points to go back to the other company with to find out if the service was the same. She did not pressure me, was up front with everything and was not afraid to send it in writing. After which, I turned to the other provider for the same information. Not only would they not give me anything substantial in writing as to what they cover, but they hung up on me when I would not pay them the full amount for 12 months versus the monthly payment I had signed up for.     In April of 2021, our freezer began thawing spontaneously and then refreezing. The control panel was beeping non-stop unless we locked it. First tech sent wanted to replace compressor and after two months of waiting on part it didn't fit. Choice sent a new tech to confirm need for fridge replacement. That tech said the control panel needed replaced and said he would order it - but never called us back and we could not contact him. Choice removed our claim from the system. Finally after almost a year of this I filed a new claim. Finally third tech came and after cleaning the system parts under the fridge the problem seems resolved. Five stars for resolving the problem finally. One star off for each tech who did not. Lastly we learned Choice was not in favor of replacing fridge even though it is in our contract - even when first tech recommended doing so.

    The technician was very nice and knowledgeable. I recommend him highly. But the insurance policy is ridiculous! Dishwasher was unfixable and the allowance given to replace it was $246.00!! Given the copay of $75.00, that's not much. The policy is a TOTALLY waste of money. I will not recommend Choice Home Warrantee to anyone. In fact I will rally against it.
