Gina, the agent I spoke to was very knowledgeable and could answer all my questions. That was like a breath of fresh air compared to dealing with various other companies and customer service reps from a whole line of other businesses. They looked for the best deal and additional savings for me. My contracts starts today and I hope the service is as good as my phone experience!

I just signed up today after seeing a commercial and deciding I probably should have a policy like this. It was easy to buy a policy and understand the terms, but the second I put my phone number into the form, they called over and over. SEVEN TIMES! I was in the middle of signing up, why call me over and over? I could see if I didn't end up buying, then call tomorrow to try and hook me. The incessant calls almost prevented me from going through with the purchase.

It has been weeks now since the repairman was here to look at our water heater. I receive 2-4 emails each day to tell me that the parts are ordered, but nothing to tell me when they are actually going to come and fix the heater. We could have replaced it ourselves weeks ago, but that's not what we are paying for.

Although your rates are the best the agent that assisted me was very short, pushy and not very informative. If the rates and offer wasn’t what it is, I wouldn’t have signed up with this company. Very unpleasant experience.

We had a pipe that was clogged. Water was everywhere.. Carpet, hardwoods. The technician came out and he made sure everything was done correctly. He’s the best and I hope everyone gets him when dealing with pipe work. I appreciate him doing a great job.

I have had Choice Warranty for several years and not one time have they let me down. This time I called about my air conditioner not working good. They immediately sent someone out to see what was wrong and they fixed it. I am a widow lady and can’t do much myself and I am really glad that I have Choice Warranty.

My washer broke. Choice was good in finding a repair person who responded promptly. The washer was old so repair parts were not available. Choice then provided compensation toward a new washer and did this in a timely fashion. My one complaint - the compensation offered did not correspond to the cost of a new machine of the same quality. I am happy for the help and the timeliness of the response.

He came on time and found my dryer problem and ordered the part. It was good service. He will return and install when the part arrives. The service has always been good with Choice Warranty, and they are reasonably priced.

Toby was professional and courteous from stepping from his truck to driving away. He seemed knowledgeable and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. We are looking forward to him returning to replace our AC/heat pump since it has been approved through CHW. My first experience with CHW and so far, a very good one. I will be happy to recommend to friends and neighbors.

TE heating element error code was addressed and fixed. But then once we tested the washer, we discovered an issue with the inner tub and he helped us understand the new issue and come to the resolution of needing a new washer. Great service and communication despite the frustrating issues!

The service was very prompt. The technician did a great job. The only problem was with the method of reporting the problem. We had a difficult time with the automated phone system. Information had to be repeated several times. The system apparently did not get our e mail and phone no correct. The service person commented that he was unable to contact us due to both being incorrect. We are very glad he kept the appt inspire of inability to call before coming. He was very nice and found the problem.

I was hesitant about joining another Home Warranty after having American Home Shield over 7 years. When my Air Conditioning System went out AHS told me they couldn’t replace because a part was missing. This is after they serviced my system for years so I canceled service. Choice sent out Iron Mountain Plumbing and they did an excellent job replacing my faucet in kitchen sink.

He came on time and decided the microwave needed to be replaced. We heard immediately. I do not like the 30day wait. I was hoping to get it done that day. Instead I have to wait up to 30 days to get the Lowe's email and then I can proceed.

Filing a claim was and has always been easy. Not completely satisfied with the time it takes to get claim approved and repair completed, but....overall, we are glad we have CHW. Note, not all claims we had in the past took so long, just be prepared if they do.

Customer service was great. Timeline for hearing back from Choice Warranty regarding a repair company was in the same day I made the called for service. The tech was very respectful. He took his time to explain the issue, the cause and the repair need. The timeline for the repair to be completed was in two days which was reasonable being that he came to check my refrigerator on a Saturday evening parts were ready on Monday to complete the service. I love the timeline. It's so important for my busy schedule.

I asked for a person I had already talked with. She was not in the office. I had left a message for her to return my call. (Amy **). Instead, Sam called me and was very pushy. I kept telling him I did not think he was fair to not let the original person I talked with get my sale. His name was Sam.

Claim 154126015 was filed & Tony from Morgan Plumbing came Thursday, 04\21\22 to see to my hot water heater. He advised he felt it needed to be examined by an electrician. I asked if there would be an additional $85 fee & he advised no as it would be under the same claim. I called & spoke with Stefanie on 04\21\22 @ 4:17pm inquiring as to how we needed to proceed. She advised she would need to create a "task" for an electrical technician to come check the issue. Stefanie provided me the Claim #**. She advised there would be an $85 fee. I asked why & she advised because it is a separate claim.
This is for the same issue... the hot water heater. Regardless if it is the plumbing or the electrical I have paid the fee required of $85 without hesitation. I didn't request an electrician the plumber Choice selected to service my hot water heater advised it was needed. I have been without hot water since April 11, 2022. I do not believe I should be required to pay the $85 for the electrician. Please provide in writing that this fee is waived.

You can't ask for better service than Choice provided. The experience helped me to decide to continue the warranty plan.

I had to call 3 times to have someone come out and look at our hot water heater. All 3 technicians told us it was old and needed to be replaced. By the time we called on our last technician, the hot water heater would not even stay on. After the 3rd technician submitted the paperwork, it was denied. I know you gave a reason and for me to look at the paperwork. It was just 3 different copays and then a denial. Pretty frustrating.

The ventilation line from the kitchen sink broke due to corrosion and age. It’s a cast iron pipe, it’s very old and corroded through. The plumbing company you assigned concluded that the pipe broke due to normal wear and tear. Choice denied the claim. By looking at the pictures sent by the inspection, claiming the pipe didn’t have enough support, which was never mentioned by the plumber. Which determined it broke due to normal wear. I escalated the claim and was advised by the claim agent that she would return my call that same day. This was a week ago. I called Choice and asked for a call back twice, and on both occasions was told that they would send message to the claim rep. Assigned to my claim for a return call. I’m still waiting. I’m very disappointed with your company.

Light bulb in canned light exploded three weeks ago. Electrician came out two days after claim submitted, said he would have to get approval for the work, took my money and never returned. After no results in calling Choice, placed another claim that was scheduled from 11-3 today. Have been home all day and no contractor. Received notice of “not home” and would to resubmit claim. Called Choice and was told I’d have to pay the $65 again for new claim.

The claims I filed were either declined or I was never followed up with. Very unhappy, I was going to renew my policy for another year but not now. Very poor follow up and communication if I ever received any In The first place.

The claim was refused because it is a fixture. The undersigned does not agree, because the part needed to be replaced is not part of the fixture, but a part of the electrical system that operates the system. Therefore the claim that was denied should be reviewed.

We checked out many sites on the internet. Looked at all the information and looked up all the information sent to us by Choice and for once everything matched. The only differences were the price quotes. I got a more expensive price quote than our daughter did. Not sure why.

My kitchen refrigerator quit cooling on fridge side. CHW was very responsive, fast and helpful to address my claim. I am extremely satisfied with their claims team, supervisor, contractor and options to fix/replace the refrigerator. I have been a Choice Home Warranty customer for decades and couldn't be happier. They do what they say, and are quick to resolve claims and satisfy their customers.

I would never use this company again. Our dishwasher broke. The company decided to replace it rather than repair it. The max they would give us is $246 as replacement value. The cheapest model we can find at Lowes is $600. They will not budge or compromise.

I wasn't going to sign, as this was a perfunctory call to gather information, but your representative Loay really understood accountability, and personal relationships and spoke to my specific issues. I have two policies for two houses. One house I had to update information which was taken care of. I submitted a claim for my house in Florida which was promptly processed. The house in Georgia and Florida have two separate policies. The home in Georgia had a claim which was taken care of.

The process was longer than expected. I had a telephone meeting with a lady, sorry forget name, who keep calling my wife number instead of the number I gave her. But once I explained the appliance that need to be replaced, she took care of sending it.

I have recommended this program to multiple people and it has already saved us a LOT of money on household repairs. Anytime I put in a claim, they are quick to respond and the issue is resolved. During my last claim on my furnace, I got a response within minutes and the technician was at my house and fixed the issue the next day. The best part was that the repair was a covered issue and all I paid was the copay! Great service!!

Waiting for the washer to get fixed, but the technician went to the property within 24 hours and received approval within 24 hours. Appointment to get the machine fixed within few days. Technician has an appointment on 4/27. Will find out how it went in a few days.

I would have rated the experience a 5 if not for the slow start. It took several days to get a tech assigned. That said, the tech assigned (Jimmy Jones Handyman Services) was excellent at diagnosing and getting temporary heat working. Hopefully, the rest of the process will be equally as good.

I noticed a faint smell of gas. I called the gas company and they sent a tech out immediately. The Gas South tech discovered a gas leak and turned off the gas. I submitted a claim immediately. The dispatched tech was there the next day. The claim was accepted and the needful part was ordered. The part was installed 2 days after the claim submission. Thanks for getting this issue taken care of so quickly!

How do you allow a family with children and pets go without A/C in TEXAS for THREE WEEKS???? I paid $475.00 immediately once I was notified of my portion out of pocket… still nothing! I would not recommend this company EVER!

We have had CHW for about a year and every claim seems harder than the last. Our dishwasher broke and they wanted to pay us in a LOWE'S credit for about 1/4 the price of a new one. Our furnace stopped working when it was -5 below zero out and they said the tech was not allowed to fix it when they came out. They denied the claim saying there was moisture around when there was none. The tech just said the fan motor broke and needed to be replaced, nothing about moisture because our basement was very dry. Only after calling my realtor and her calling the company did the company agree to fix it after we have been without heat for a week in the middle of winter. It only cost $380 to fix it and they tried to find a false reason not to.
Now our 3 year old refrigerator stopped working and we paid a local repairman that could come look at it the same day ( takes a few days with CHW) and he said it needs to be replaced and sent the diagnostic to CHW. They they told me they would find someone that can fix it. It has been almost a month now and they still can not find anyone to fix it. Our warranty is about the expire and it seems like they are just waiting for it to so they do not have to pay. When I call all I get is pressured to buy another year and empty promises on my current claim.

I requested my repair/replace on Mon. Appt for Friday. That was great, no emergency. Received a call Tuesday, said the repair person was finished early & could by in 10 minutes. Perfect. Replaced garbage disposal quicky & was a pleasant experience all the way around.

Faulty water heater is leaking water, which has been assessed as a possible incomplete combustion, which could eventually lead to carbon monoxide leakage. How could this company be deny this type of claim? A faulty furnace had the same problem and it was replaced. Please explain your twist in the policy.

The technicians ran diagnostics tests on my furnace. The filter was checked with instructions to change them monthly. The furnace was cleaned and instructions were explained for upkeep. Any questions I had were answered. The Service Technicians were prompt, professional and eager to work.

I had requested for service 6 times and only in one occasion they have approved the service. So after I spent $60 x 6 = $360, I was able to get service ONLY ONE TIME. I am going to ask for the refund of the remaining of my contract.

I filed a claim with CHW and they immediately tried to reach a vendor to diagnose and make repairs. Vendor were slow to respond. CHW email me to contact a local vendor - no responses. I ended up watching Youtube videos and repairing myself before food spoiled. Cancelled the claim.

First time filing a claim... and I was pleasantly surprised how easy the process was and how smoothly it went. They took care of everything. Contacting a local company, setting up a time and date. And then emailing me of all the details. I had a repair done the following day. So my first experience was a positive one!! Would highly recommend.

First plumber was a no show, no call. Second plumber would not return calls and Appt was set five days from the first Appt. We’ve been over a week with issues, plumbers refuse to communicate, have voice mails that will not even take a message. With an 83 year old senior in the house, a few days without working toilets can be dealt with, over a week is not acceptable! When I sent text message to second plumber to confirm and try to ask if a sooner appointment could be done all I got was text message back to take the Appt or call for another plumber and later appointment. We are not happy with how Choice is working for us. We picked Choice over others but now thinking it was not the best move. Neighbors are asking how things are… not thinking about telling them good reviews.

So far it has been really great. I submitted claim and one hour later was contacted by repair company. they came out that day and were on time professional and quick. Determined the issue and have already set up fix-it appointment. This issue is not completed so I cannot confirm final review but for now it's going good.

The electrician was prompt, courteous, and professional. He was extremely thorough in his troubleshooting and explanation. He was detailed in his approach, and I felt confident in his ability. I would definitely recommend this technician to other homeowners. The technician was also very neat, and conscious of safety. He wore a face covering the entire time he was at my home. In this day and age, safety is paramount, and it impressed me that the technician was conscious of safety.

I believe the sales rep said his name was Alvin. He was very friendly and did a great job. My only concern is that he quoted me a service call fee of $65 if I took a multi-year plan, and my contract email says $75. Can we get that fixed?

Technician was great, Choice Home denial based on other issues makes the coverage crap and not worth it. You can’t deny coverage based on preexisting conditions when you have no idea when issues started. This makes coverage and repairs a sham.

This company goes above and beyond to dismiss claims. The technicians that they outsource from other companies are great (as you’ll see from my other review). JUST USE THE OTHER COMPANIES with the good technicians. Communication with the claims department is difficult because any response you get will be minimal with the intent to redirect you until you no longer pursue the claim. I done this for months with the assistance of my technician and still got terrible service. Ultimately you’d be better off uninsured and saving for emergencies than purchasing a policy from Choice Home Warranty. This is my experience from 2021 to 2022

He was very thorough with explaining both plans and I appreciated Mcnphee's patience and taking the time to answer any and all questions that I had. Afterwards I got the full protection plan. Mcnphee was exceptional at explaining the company's best practices and that along with the reviews and his calm and patience explaining the plans were a main reason why I became apart of the CHW family.

To Whom It May Concern, As per my contract agreement, any unused portion of my contract may be refunded if not used. We have been very unhappy with your ability to respond to our heat/air outage. Our unit went out on the 26th of March and it has finally been fixed today, April 24. The technician is disgruntled because you are making it difficult for him to reclaim his fees. Due to your negligence and difficulty to work with we are cancelling our plan as of today April 24, 2022. We have prepaid for a 6 year plan and are looking to recover all our money paid except coverage for months January through April 2022.

We had a booster pump go out on our pool. CHW sent out a pool company who confirmed that the pump was bad and informed that they had to get approval from CHW before they could proceed. This is normal. After a day or so the contractor informed us that they had the approval to replace the pump motor and set a time for the repairs. However, the day of the scheduled repair they informed us, after stating they had the motor, that they could not find the motor and it would take a while to locate one, but they could replace the entire pump for an additional cost of some $150. Being without the pump for more than a week we were left with no choice but to cave in to the additional cost. This is just wrong!

I was extremely pleased with the quick turnaround and the service. The reason my rating is only a 4 is because I never received a call from the vendor to let me know who they were and when I could expect them. When I received a phone call 8:30 am the next morning saying he was at the door regarding the icemaker I was shocked. I didn't know the company or who the technician was. Communication just through email is not good, there should also be a phone call. When I called in, the representative asked for the best number to reach me and that I should receive a call within 4 hours. As you can see that did not happen. There is too much going on these days for that not to happen. Other that I was extremely pleased.

I purchased this home 6 months ago and shortly after the first month water was backing up from my sink and garbage disposal into the dishwasher. The response was quick and the technician fixed the problem quickly. Now it's five months later and there was a leak from my attic, the AC unit stopped working and a ceiling fan stopped working. I submitted a call for a microwave issue. They were very quick to respond and issue was fixed. Two days later and same issue came back. They once again were quick to respond and they even sent technician back and I didn't have to pay since it was still the original issue. Issue was once again corrected and all seemed fine. Roughly 8 weeks later the issue returned. They were again quick to respond and issue was fixed but the part that failed was same part that failed before. I was required to pay the service fee which I feel is still connected to the original issue. I'm glad issue was fixed but not pleased that I was required to pay the service fee since it was still original issue and 8 weeks isn't a great amount of time. I am pleased with the speed of which a technician is dispatched but I will probably explore my options once this year's contract is up.

I was given a date and time that the technician was to arrive. The technician did not show up, nor did he call. I was then given a 2nd date and time that the technician would arrive. Again, no show, no call. Choice was then called to file a complaint. The Choice rep then called the company assign to repair my microwave and stove. While I was on the phone, the company rep stated that the technician would arrive that day and would call an hour before arrival. The technician call 15 minutes prior to arrival. After troubleshooting the stove and microwave, it was determined that parts were needed. He did not have the parts on hand, so my stove and microwave is still inoperable. This was the 3rd occasion that this company was assigned to repair something broken, and each time they DID NOT arrive at the scheduled time and did not call. I have to resort to calling Choice to get the technician here.

Called because of unusual noise from outside part of Air Conditioning System. Very Loud. System still cools but I don’t want it to fail and require extensive future repairs. The system is the original installation and was installed in 2008. Brand is Goodman. Filters and annual service have been performed regularly and it is in use approximately 6.5 months per year.

When I purchased the plan, I was told there was a charge of $60 per visit. My water heater has a leak in it and now I am told there will be a $300 charge added to have it installed. I am not willing to pay more than I was quoted and am asking for a full refund for breach of contract.

I made a claim for to repair a shut-off valve but the tech was sent out to repair a non working furnace. They had to contact his office who then had to contact CHW. After waiting for about 30 minute, the job was rescheduled after CHW approved it.

I was a customer since 2016. I closed on my house on March 5th. I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone on that department for a while and had to sit on hold. People in sale pick right up. But you have to wait on hold for a very long time to cancel. Like you do it on purpose. And you also don’t have a way to cancel online. I even changed the account info of my card. And you still charged me. Due to this I will not use you guy anymore in the future nor will I recommend you to anyone. Not happy. I was with you since 2016.

Reported leak around 10th of April. Morgan Plumbing came out on April 18th and told us the two valves for washer needed replacement. He said he would turn in repair for approval and that was four days ago. We left a message with CHW yesterday and are still waiting to hear from plumber to set repair date. We just hope it doesn't start leaking again.

We actually forgot that we had this service from the previous owners of the home. When I looked up the website and logged in I was pretty amazed at how cheap the service cash was and how quickly the tech could come out and fix it replace the unit. After about 5 minutes the tech told us our motor was frozen and got immediate approval to purchase a new one and install. All in all he was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I pay extra to cover pool equipment. Your 1st tech kept me waiting 5 days, to come [is acceptable]. When he was not here, I called him, only to be told he is having an issue with 'Choice' and will not be coming. [Absurd and unacceptable] Your 2nd tech, came few days after. He submitted diagnosis, only to have you state the condenser, as part of the 'Heat Pump', NOT COVERED' EVEN THOUGH IT'S STATED AS COVERED', in the contract.

I paid for three years and have had a number of claims, Choice has not covered my pool heater, pool salt generator, Air conditioner, dishwasher, etc. I would recommend you check any other home warranty. The rep who contacted and spoke with me was very informative, listened, answered questions and pushed to get me the best deal on a policy. When I decided to not go with a 6-year plan, he pushed for a 3-year plan with great savings. When I opted to go with only with a one year plan, he said it was put through and abruptly hung up on me not ending our conversation on a more professional manner. I took this as a sign that he was not happy that I didn’t opt for a longer contract, which left me feeling glad that I didn’t based on how our conversation ended.

Upon submitting a work order, I contacted Choice Warranty to inquire if my AC contractor could possibly continue servicing my AC. The agent asked for the contact information of my contractor and proceeded to make contact immediately. Within 5 minutes all arrangements were made and the call was resolved. Rarely these days are resolutions acquired so quickly with a friendly response.

Work properly done nothing completed and done. Except for Choice to make me pay their recommended technician to come spent less than 20 minutes and pay the service fee. This is daylight robbery and I would not even recommend any to this company ever again. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this matter.

Chris **, was and is very helpful resolving the dryer issue. He put in a new element-coil that went bad. He saved us over $1,000 by replacing the element-coil. Chris was very nice and professional and did not waste time getting replace under hour.

Our Tech was great fixed our problem!!! But No thanks to this home warranty company. Who states it covers electrical problems this was a serious fix that could have ended the life of a kid had he touched the faucet at any point. A tech should be going in to fix the problem the customer stated not having to report back and hoping for a quick response. Our issue was serious and we were being electrocuted through a facet and handles. Had OUR 3 year old touched that he could have seriously been hurt or even deceased with the power that show was throwing out. So again NO thanks to how your company works. You will be lucky if we DO NOT DROP CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!

I have used Choice Warranty for 12 years but will discontinue and advise everyone to stay away from it. They lie to you to sell you policy and when you have a need for it they make excuses and loopholes and leave you hanging and don't cover anything. Total disappointment.

I was not notified of the final decision on my claim. I had to call choice warranty for a decision. Also I was not given an option for the payment for the washer. The replacement washer was not being purchased at Lowe's. I was only offered a Lowe's e-card.

The last time I ran my A/C unit was in September of last year. I bought my warranty on March 8, 2020. When I turned my unit on April 17 it was not blowing cold air. I filed a claim the serviceman came out on Wed and said the unit needed freon. You would not approve the work order. Not happy.

Signed up for 3 years at acceptable price. Did feel like your rep wasn’t listening and was a bit pushy. Was ready for payment info before I had decided. Wanted to sign for one year. Ended up signing for three and he continued to push for more. Hope they are the great company I was told. Two other warranty companies have been a disappointment.

When we got this policy, there was nothing about a cap on anything but well. If it could not be fixed, it would be replaced. There is no way to replace the unit for what your giving. I will be looking at other warranty companies.

The technician spent quite a while analyzing and testing the refrigerators components, finally concluding that it was not reparable. The email offer of a replacement credit was simple and appears fair. (We have not yet received the actual gift cards, so I cannot comment on that process. It seems that the gift-card email could have come immediately as well.)

You covered nothing and the first AC man charged me 65 twice and scammed me and took all my freon and messed up my wiring. The next AC man came and fixed it and verified they scammed me but fixed it. You guys refused to pay the claim which is covered. Why am I paying a service that covers nothing and sends me a company that you sent who scams me. This needs to be reimbursed by your company. I had to put it on my charge card. I just don’t have that kind of money to throw away. You guys paid nothing. Why am I wasting money each month if I have to pay for it.

I will say this only 1 time to get it off my conscience. I have been with Choice Home Warranty, I know, over 5 or so years. During that time I have paid for all my appliance repairs or replacements 10x over. My water heater is not heating. I called in the order, and paid the technician who visited my home the customary $85.00 for the visit. He informed me that the heater has failed due to age (over 30yrs. old) and that I need a new one. He informed "Choice", and "Choice" has agreed to replace the heater.
"Choice" then emailed me saying that they agreed to replace the heater PROVIDED THAT I AGREE TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $300 upon arrival. I had no choice but to agree to this "outrageous" additional charge, or my claim would have been halted. It's like paying a "deductible" before the work is done. "Choice", why am I paying you $54.45 (soon to be $64.25) per month for a lot of nothing? You should be covering everything from beginning to end. Very dissatisfied.

Tech came out, could not fix it. Choice decided to replace item. Offered me a ecard for less than what it was going to cost for a new one. Still waiting for the ecard... I checked my email. I got a notification from Choice that it could take 30 days for the card to be sent to me... SMH.

Our recommended tech man did not speak with your authorization dept before installing our new water heater. We were not compensated because of this technicality. The tech man did submit his report that the new water heater was an absolute necessity.

My unit had leaked Freon. For the last three years you have come out and charged with freon instead of stopping the leak. It would be much more effective for you and me to repair the leak instead of putting on the band aid every year and causing me untold distress. The repair takes at least four to five days in your process and I sit here in 90 degree heat at age 72 with multiple acute illnesses. It's highly inappropriate and just plain bad business.

First, it would be preferable to be able to signup online. Having to call to sign up for service in 2022 is unusual. Next, the initial quote for nearly $700 was o.k. But then I received various e-mails offering service for as low as $495. Ultimately, when I called, I was only offered a price of nearly $600, and once I'd accepted that, the rep proceeded to try to sell me multi-year plans, to the point I had to basically say "If I have to say no again, I'll go with someone else." Pushy sales are super annoying. Ask the customer what they want...give the customer what they ask for...Good business model. Don't push us.

Service was exactly what I would expect from a home warranty company. The response was prompt and the service person was at my home within the promised time window. Fixed the issue in less than an hour and I couldn't ask for more. $65 per visit fee is a little high though in my opinion.

My central air conditioning failed but the claim to repair was DENIED stating that it was not a covered item. The machine needed freon and sealing from a "leak" but the company said this is not a covered item on the plan? How could that be? Needless to say, I am wondering why I have the warranty in the first place. The only good thing was the technician that came was knowledgeable and very nice/competent.

I already have a warranty on my appliances and will expire next Sept 2023. I decided to go with this warranty since it will include ALL of my appliances and plumbing even though they are covered - you can never have enough coverage.
