My microwave is broken due to normal wear and tear but the claim was denied because they said it wasn't. The microwave is from 2004 and the problem is because it has been used for so many years. I am considering canceling my contract.

My furnace was not working and they did not have the right sized part. The man was extremely nice. Weekend coming up wanted to charge me $300. To put the part in. Monday. No charge??!! Hmmm. What a rip off! I have never had that experience. Most have been good.

I was not happy with the experience. I waited two weeks to get the new toilet in. The claim was denied for the wrong reason. The toilet was over 40 years old and the claim was denied supposedly from abuse. No, it was old and it leaked from wear and tear over 40 years. I wish I had taken a picture of the wax underneath the toilet. It was completely gone. No wonder it leaked. The total bill was $275.00 which I paid out of pocket. It would be nice to get reimbursed $200.00 at this point. The $75 was deducted from the $275.

I’ve had technicians come to my home on 3 occasions from Choice. All but 1 have been great to work with. A/C tech seemed to be quite knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with. In fact if another problem should arise I’d like to request ARKTIKOS A/C. Their tech Santana was is very good at what he does.

The drain was frozen shut and water was running all over the refrigerator part under the freezer. It took from 5/4 until 5/11 to get someone to work on my problem. I had to call a couple times for updates.

Thus far I have no complaints about the service I have received. This is the first claim that has been filed so I cannot at this time rate my experience any higher. The unit is still being worked on so I am waiting on job completion.

We recently purchased a Choice Home Warranty plan with a new condo purchase. We had an unexpected issue and had to call in a plumber. The plumbing company was prompt and professional would recommend Two Anchors Plumbing with 5 stars! Thank you Choice for delivering on what was promised! Have already recommended to my neighbors.

The work was done well. It took 40 minutes for the tech to get to get the Bathroom commode work approved while sitting out in their Van and it took them 15 minutes to complete the work. It was explained that the work plan had to be submitted to Choice before they could do the work. It had to be submitted at least twice.

Colby was very kind. He went over everything explaining what the problem was. He took care of the issue promptly and efficiently. I would highly recommend All American Appliance Repair. They have been to service my home previously and done excellent work.

My dryer will not turn off the only way to turn it off is keeping the door open. The tech came out and got it to work, but the problem reoccurred. So he ordered the part and then he found out the board was no longer available so the dryer could not be fix. So I was offered a gift card to replace it.

They didn’t pay for the entire repair to my air conditioner. I had to pay over $600. Why pay for a home warranty that doesn’t cover what you expect. Tried calling for them to explain and wait on phone is lengthy and unacceptable.

The two times I have asked for coverage, I have been denied full compensation, clear communication, even an acceptance that a recommended solution is valid. Always not enough for what I paid for. I think this is corporate policy, not customer service.

Once we actually made contact the plumber sent to my house was great. He was quick, efficient and nice even though it was 7:30 in the evening. I would give 5 stars but he was supposed to come the day before and I had no contact.

My bathroom sink was clogged. I made the call, the appointment was set, The team arrived on time. Quick response and the problem was solved. The technician cleared the problem, cleaned the area, was courteous and attentive. Follow up was good.

Quick turnaround in terms of when I filed my claim and when someone came to take care of the problem. The worker quickly identified the issue and explained the problem. Came back the next day and installed replacement parts. Was very professional and courteous and everything went as expected.

Home Choice has been nothing but a headache for us. They haven’t really helped cover any of the issues we’ve had. I thought the point of a home warranty is to help with repairs of the home. We were thankful enough for them to replace our air conditioning unit with us paying little out of pocket but the technician they hired didn’t properly install the unit and Home Choice is declining to make the repairs after the technician they hired didn’t do their job properly. I wouldn’t recommend Home Choice Warranty to anyone. Such a waste of time and money.

I was not told about this when I added my new home, it looks as though I paid $500.00 of the buyers policy that they took over from me. I don't think I should have to pay for their appliance protection. Please explain this to me

My refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly and I was assigned an appointment a week later. I was elated when Jason came 4 days earlier. He quickly identified the problem and told me he will submit his diagnosis the same day. I did not see any Update on the website so I called Jason. After checking he told me there was some problem with his company name in the Choice database and he will follow up. He kept on it till finally Choice responded. He did an Excellent job!!

I submitted a claim on 5/8/22 for our two main level toilets were loud after each flush and seem to run longer than they should have. Choice, hired Michael's Repair to repairs the toilets. On 5/11/22 Michael came out and cleaned the main line through the master bathroom toilet and replacement the bottom piece of the valve and not the hose which left the toilet leaking. This leaked through my ceiling and drywall in my basement and storage room.
I contacted my rep Britian and Michael on 5/12/22 notifying them both of this issue. Michael came back and replace the hose on 5/12/22 but didn't address the water damage. Britian - states that Choice doesn't cover third party damage and this would be between myself and Michael. So, Choice hired this third party person but, there no liability if they damage your client property?? Very very disappointed and I will be cancelling my warranty.

Other pool repair companies insist on replacing all components instead of offering a more tempered response. Yes, it may be more efficient to replace all and start fresh, but that may not be the most cost-efficient option. I appreciated the option to replace a single component, the 7 port valve, as we have new grids inside our DE filter and there is no evidence of cracks in the filter manifold.

Unfortunately, our second refrigerator went on the blink and we lost everything in the freezer. Upon inspection by the technician, we were told that we would receive a timely decision soon. Well we were pleasantly surprised to receive a decision the next day and it was a very fair conclusion.

My air conditioning unit just recently was not cooling. I called Choice Home at 6:00 p.m. to submit a claim on a Tuesday night and received a call from a technician the following morning to set up a time for them to come out to diagnose the unit, they were here the following morning. The unit was 16 years old and repairing was not worth it to them and within 4 hours after the technician submitted his report Choice Home approved me to have a new unit installed. Albeit I was responsible for the modifications needed to be made for the new unit to fit my current furnace system I literally save thousands of dollars and there was no if and or buts during the process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!!! And I do to all my friends and family members They have 24/7 service which makes it so much easier to submit a claim and not have to wait for normal working hours.
I have been with them for over 4 years now and have had my hot water tank repaired and a washing machine replaced. I always wondered how the service would be on a major unit and now I know.... they are first class. I just happened to stumble over them years ago when I was looking into finding a company to be insured by. People reading this need not stumble. GET IT! The yearly cost is not only affordable but gives you the peace of mind of knowing that not only do you have coverage, you have awesome coverage. I don’t know if it was a bad phone connection. Had a very hard time trying to file claim. Had to re-enter information at least 3 times for each question. Found it very disappointing trying to make the claim. Filed claim today 05/12/2022. Not getting Repair Service Co. until next week Wednesday 05/18/2022. Just glad the hot water heater isn’t leaking bad. Hopefully next experience will be much better.

The technician we had was excellent. It was refreshing to see the technician did not have to call in for permission to replace the disposal. In the past, this phone call alone would waste 30 to 45 minutes of the technician and my time waiting for someone from Choice to answer the call.

Our A/C unit was leaking. We knew it wasn't anything major so when the technician came, he was in and out in 20 minutes. He cleaned the debris from the unit and within a few hours, the leak was completely gone. Problem solved.

Two of the burners on my stove were not functioning properly. They would continue to stay hot after being turned off. I called ACW and a repairman was scheduled. The repairman arrived near the time he was supposed to and checked the stove. It needed parts that he didn't have on his truck and he said that he would order the parts and schedule a day and time to finish the repairs. Four days later the repairman called back to come the next day to finish the job. He arrived on time and in 30 minutes had the stove operating properly. Good job.

No one ever calls back and they are not giving you the money to replace appliance. I will strongly recommend never using choice. Big RIP OFF. It took so long that I had to pay another service fee. They don’t even try and understand you or wait for you to talk. Very, very disappointed

Took way too long to repair. From claim (28 Feb) to completion (11 May). The first assigned tech charged way too much, which CHW should have realized quicker. The second one was much better in communication and price. Completed the claim in 4 days. A great contractor for CHW.

When I needed minor repair to my toilet the plumber sent by Choice warranty came 6 days later. I would have like faster service but luckily I have 2 bathrooms. He was very friendly and fixed it, after getting approval from the warranty company.

I tried to file a claim online and it seemed to go well until the end. I showed that I needed to call and give additional information. I called and the program wasn't clear and ended up talking to an agent for new claims. Once I was able to talk to a PERSON everything went well. I received a call back in a reasonable time and confirmed my claim.

Updated on 05/18/2022: Reported a leak a week ago, they had a plumber come out. He said, "Yep it is leaking." Came the following day. Cut a hole in my wall. Found the leak. CHOICE DENIED the claiming saying the drain line had been snaked and the plug was beyond the foundation. After a week of trying to deal with Choice I fixed the leak myself. There is still a hole in my wall. Bought 3 years in advance. Also out my $65 deductible. Not a good first impression.
Original Review: The plumber has been out here twice so far and now I have a hole in my wall. Still cannot use my upstairs sink. No idea when repairs will be approved or if the hole they created would be repaired. I did pay 3 years in advance for this warranty wondering if I made a big mistake.

So far I’ve had a generally good experience with CHOICE HOME WARRANTY and your contractors. There was only one exception with a contractor but that was quickly remediated but your customer service rep and the repair was made efficiently after that.

Choice Home Warranty emailed me & said "Great news, we are replacing your system". I believed I would be getting another microwave. Instead, they said I would get an e-gift card for $191 to Lowes Home Improvement. This would arrive anywhere between 14 - 30 days. I was livid!
I asked for an appeal to only be told that was all they would allow. I explained that that $191 is lessened because I spent a needless $65 for a service charge...microwave ovens don't get repaired, so it really is $126. I haven't received any compensation as of yet. I explained that that amount does not cover the cost of an equivalent microwave oven, as the same one is $327 at Lowes, plus I have to pay to have it installed, that all fell on deaf ears...they didn't budge on appeal. This company is awful & I wholeheartedly regret spending $1,176.00 for this plan and I would not recommend it to anyone!

Bought a home with a very used stove, the oven didn’t keep the right temp and one burner was destroyed, I was able to get replacement money to go towards new stove. This was good to have as it helped me in the long run.

Toilet was gurgling not going down, Joey from Un-stoppers Plumbing did a great job. Replaced all parts and checked other bathroom still no drainage. Problem is with my septic tank, it's full of water. I want to thank Choice for having this great plumbing co. in their plan. Shout out to Joey who was very thorough in his job.

It appears that Choice Home Warranty's goal is to NOT pay claims. The customer support is inadequate. They appear fraudulent and the BBB need to intervene. If there was a ZERO rating, they deserve it!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

Pros: once the tech arrived, things went smoothly. Repairs were done same day and were 100% covered as expected (unlike previous experience with CHW and hot water heater issue). Cons: Initially, received two emails with different appointment days with a vendor. When I called the vendor to clarify which day (per instructions in the email) they had no idea who I was and hadn’t heard from CHW yet. According to the CHW email, my appointment was in just a few hours and CHW hadn’t gotten them the work order they needed to schedule. They also said they had no idea why CHW would quote me a day and time as it’s up to them to determine when they can come out.

A/C was not cooling properly, so submitted a claim to Choice Warranty via their website. A/C tech came out same day and diagnosed problem to a defective evaporator coil, Choice Warranty approved work and technician is returning today to complete the repair. I would highly recommend Choice Warranty to friends and family.

I would recommend this warranty to everyone! I took this out about 8 months ago. Last week our Refrigerator went out. Circuit Board went bad, the claim was easy to set up, repairman there within 48 hours and new part installed within 2 days! Excellent experience and I will always continue to have Choice Warranty!

Difficult to communicate, delay in installation after approval, tacked on charges inappropriate. Still waiting for installation, heat wave, 96 degrees daily and for next 10 days, materials needed are local, your representative Maurice ** was an abomination. Your technician was excellent, the only saving grace. It seems your only interest is trying to deny legitimate claims. If you are the best home warranty company I would hate to see the second best.

This is the first time I needed the help from my CHW plan and I know I made the right decision getting coverage. The service provided by CHW was excellent. They had a technician here within 24 hours of my call, and he could not have been more knowledgeable or courteous. He fixed our problem within an hour of his arrival. And he arrived within the window of time CHW gave me. My only issue would be that CHW gave me a window of time between 7 and 11 am, but the technician explained his hours of operation don't begin until 8:30. Even losing that extra hour or so of sleep, I have nothing but praise for the services provided. I feel well taken care of.

Filed a claim & Choice couldn't find a contractor to replace my leaking water heater. So I had to find one myself, but before I could get an approval to be re-imbursed the contractor had to submit (in his words) ridiculous price break downs for item & labor for each and every little thing he was doing. Finally get an approval, now it takes 30 days to receive a refund.

Repair Technician was prompt, professional, knowledgeable of How to repair the product. He was very focused and diligent in taking the dryer apart to access the problem. Updated on 01/15/2026: Choice has always been on top of assigning my service. Have never had any problems. I would recommend them to anyone. Both my kids have them and a few others that I have told. I have had them for 17 years.

My last home warranty company which I had for five years, was fair and although not every claim was approved at least some were. EVERY claim I’ve submitted has been denied without a reasonable conclusion. It’s clear that Choice Home Warranty provides little to no assurance to homeowners, shown by your consensus of continual claims rejections.

The plumber, Jarrell was professional, precise and thorough. He completed the work with no disruption to our normal routine. The work solved the problem thereby removing further damage. Will not fix Air Conditioners!!!! I would like to bring to your attention the case that I have dealing with choice home morning now. After looking at Better Business Bureau complaints in seeing that there's nearly 10000 complaints against this company I am wondering if they will ever fix my AC. I am a diabetic and my wife is a Prior heat casualty. This AC has been leaking for 2 years and choice refuses to properly fix it and it's even nonworking now with an open workorder since March and my AC has not even been repaired yet.
Choice sent 9 different technicians most have come and have condemned or said the unit be replaced and every time they report back to Choice, chioce canceled them and their diagnosis.. So choice Claims that they has no record of their diagnosis. All they do is want technicians that agree to what they want with bandaid repairs that hold just up past the 30 day warranty. In 2020, AC did not work for the whole summer and that was with choice How can you help citizens and veterans like me?? Below is a record of this AC You will see this is a disturbing trend with this company. 4 different claims on ac over 20 months, freon still leaks out.
Told by choice home warranty management they can use as many "2nd opinions" as they need and even adding to insult bragging they had 9 "2nd opinions". Then was told every time they assigned a new technician, prior diagnostic was voided until today when the last tech they sent said it was the lineset without even closing off lines and pressurizing them, and within 50 minutes Choice emailed me aware they don't cover this. After 2 years of back and forth, it came to them doing this...
June 8th,2020: filed claim # ** AC. Assigned Frudges AC. Appt set for June 12, 2020. No show. June 12, 2020 CHW email Frudges appt 300-0800pm NO SHOW. June 13, 2020: CHW emailed "Due to unforeseen circumstances your original appointment date with CHW Technician Fruges Air Conditioning has been canceled." June 15, 2020: first of many "reimbursement emails. I replied no. Did some research and found that CHW doesn't pay techs enough, leaving customer with bill. June 17, 2020: CHW sets appt with Comfort Zone. July 1, 2020: CHW sends "Due to unforeseen circumstances your original appointment date with CHW Technician COMFORT ZONE HEATING AND AIR has been canceled." July 1, 2020 CHW email COMFORT ZONE HEATING AND AIR has been canceled.
July 10, 2020: CHW sends another "reimbursement" email. I replied no. Starting a pattern that shows me they will avoid properly fixing AC at all cost. July 21, 2020: CHW still hasn't repaired my AC to working condition during the humid heat of the southern Louisiana summer. I wrote consumer affaire "Have been trying to get them here for over a month to look at AC. This is the email response I get everyday." CHW replied "We are diligently working on assigning your claim to the best available technician in your area. At this time, technicians have not responded with a reasonable timeframe to schedule your appointment. We are continuing to work on finding you a reasonable appointment. In order to avoid further delay, we offer a reimbursement option."
Upon selecting the reimbursement option CHW will stop working on finding you an appointment and you will be required to find your own technician to service your claim. I then wrote "They hire people that are no shows and refuse to get legit repair companies to complete the job. There are complaints about them not reimbursing after job is done."
July 21, 2020 filed complaint on Consumeraffairs.com. July 22,2020: CHW assigned frudges. July 29, 2020 -CHW reassigns Frudges. August 3,2020: repair approved, but I must come up with over $400. I agree. Aug 4, 2020 CHW email verifying I had to get a case manager involved. # 87613437 CHW approved. August 25,2020: Prior uncompleted claim # ** CHW approved. Call complete to Derrick **. Explained to the customer we will cover the evaporator coil and his out-of-pocket costs to the tech would be $475. This will bring the AC back to full operating condition. Explained also that if he desires to have the condenser and furnace upgraded as well, his out of pocket to the tech is $2475 and the cost to CHW is $1400 for the equipment.
Aug 29 2022: CHW email claim #87613437 has been approved for replacement “coil”. Sept 4 2020: CHW claims that the technician is waiting for parts says parts were ordered Sept 3rd. Sept 6,2020: CHW sends email "Great news! Your equipment for claim #87613437 has been ordered". Sept 25, 2020: AC still not repaired. October 2020: Not repaired properly, summer is over, freon leaked out again by the unit was needed the following spring. August 21st 2021: Made another claim of AC not cooling Claim **. Again the Freon has leaked out. Aug 21, 2021: CHW email Gulf coast appt Aug 22 2021 0300-0800 pm. August 26th 2021: Contacted CHW gulf coast will not answer the phone. Received email from CHW case manager.
Sept 13, 2021: CHW reassigning to frudges AC Sept 14 0300-0800PM. Sept 14, 2021 CHW email appointment date with CHW Technician Fruges Air Conditioning has been canceled. Sept 15, 2021: The claim is reassigned to Frudges AC Appt set for Sept 17, 2021. September 20th 2021: the air conditioner is approved for repair for repair. By this time Louisiana is cool enough to not run AC. AC is filled with stop leak Freon. I would not know of improper diagnosis and unsatisfactory repair as freon leaked out during winter.
March 30th, 2022: I follow claim with choice home warranty about this rear current air conditioner leak Assigned claim number **. March 30th 2022: I privately paid Tim's Southern air to come in troubleshoot AC system. He stated AC was not repairable and will need to be replaced. Also stated freon is Going to be illegal to use. He also condemned the heater unit. March 31, 2022 CHW email assigning frudges. March 31st 2022 0300-0800 PM NO SHOW. March 31,2022 CHW email “we have reassigned your claim”.
April 2, 2022: CWH assigns After Hours AC from 7 to 11 AM.. Time was changed. April 3, 2022: I get a message from CHW that the appointment would have the hours exchange to Thursday April 7th 2022. They reported the unit is not fixable. April 8, 2022: told "due to unforeseen circumstances" Because after hours told CHW the unit needed to be replaced. They now send me email April 8th saying that they have reassigned A different technician From a different company. April 8, 2022: Sent email requesting that I take a reimbursement process. That I would find my own person to fix and they would pay Only what they authorize therefore leaving you with a large left over bill to pay bill to pay. I denied this April 8, 2022: I'm sent a email with a new appointment on Monday April 11th with Marathon Mechanical LLC.
April 11, 2022: email at 05;18 AM CHM scheduled appt from 0700-1100 with marathon mechanical today April 11 no show. April 13, 2022: to I have been sent an email that claims that the technician did not upload the documentation. I know for a fact marathon tech submitted unit needed replacement. April 13, 2022: I now get an email that says they will be providing me with a new technician reassigning my claim. I get an email that saying due to unforeseen circumstances marathon is marathon mechanical has been canceled.
April 13, 2022: Email saying Friday April 15th from 3 to 8 PM will be frudges air conditioning these are the original people that came out and replaced the coils upstairs and those upstairs and all my freon still leaked out. Did a substandard job upstairs and even left the old call upstairs. Cost me over $500, and still not repaired. When I contacted CHW, I was told there's only a 30 day warranty and they're not responsible for the work of people they hire. April 13th 2022: Frudges air conditioning was cancelled for appointment, I called and they said I was rude and figures out that they were incompetent when they worked on ac last year, they Refused service.. I got the email from CHW due to "Unforeseen circumstances" email again. April 13th 2022: CHW sets up appointment for Friday April 15th 11 to 3 PM with SKS group.
April 15th 11 They were a no show and I tried to call them and their phone number was a disconnected phone number. I called CHW, they Could not contact them also. April 16th 2022: CHW sends me an email claiming that I missed The appointment I corrected them and let them know clearly I have video cameras around the house that shows nobody showed up to my house amongst the facts we could not contact them. April 17th 2022: Email again asking about the CHW reimbursement. I would find my own technician &c HW would only pay for certain things again I said no can afford to be stuck with massive bills, due to history of over 9000 complaints on BBB website. April 18th 2022: CHW email appointment with Mr. Appliance from 7 to 11 AM April 18th 2022:
April 20, 2022 I called Mr. Appliance technician he had no idea that I had an appointment this morning and he had no information on me he asked me if he could show up by 5 o'clock I had no problem with that the technician was actually a great guy but also said the same thing that the unit need to need to be replaced. I did call CHW again and requested to talk to management 3rd time without any accomplishment. April 20th 2022: I ask questions of CHW and they send me a notice that they're waiting for the technician to submit diagnosis and they want me to contact the technician to let them know they are waiting for the diagnosis. Not successful in contacting tech, no return calls. April 24, 2022 CHW email canceling Mr appliances and their replacement diagnosis. April 24 2022 filed BBB complaint # **. Learned BBB was NOT a government regulator, and 3 failed attempts resolved

When I took your policy it stated right on front it covered water heaters. But you denied my claim because you it didn't cover tanks. Well a water heater is mostly a tank. It is not a holding tank but water in and water out after heating. I would not recommend your company to anyone based on this fact.

He was ok in explaining things and got me signed up for One year deal with Mother's discount which was okay!!! But after he found out that I was Veteran he was pressuring me to get 6 years commitment with discounted rate. I declined the offer once, twice, three time, but he wouldn't let me go and kept on demanding Why I wouldn't want the good deal. I felt very uncomfortable and had to forcefully hang up the call.

Overall satisfied with the claim process and the issue resolution process. The online claim submission tool and duration between claim submission and technician visit can be improved. One of my policy coverages wasn't on option for claim submission and required phone call to submit the case. Customer service on the call was on acceptable level but not the level I would prefer it over online submission. It took a week after claim submission for technician to visit. While our issue could absorb that timeframe, this could be improved to make this program better.

When I signed up, I was told that all I had to pay was $85.00 for the service call and everything else was pay for. I also requested that a shut off valve be included. Why was I charged $450.00 plus $50.00 for the valve plus tip. The installation was great but not happy with charges. I contacted Choice warranty about charges to be reviewed. Never received a reply

This was more like a used car purchase than a home warranty. They push years of prepaid service without having any history of service with them. They were quick to take my full payment for a year, but I’ve yet to receive any type of documentation of my policy. I probably won’t go back with them next year and if no policy information comes soon I’m going to cancel within my 30-day window.

As I have been working with you to resolve the issue started by the technician that you sent, I have not been able to talk with my claims manager for the last 3 days. I have sent him 2 emails and attempted to call him twice with no reply nor call back. Plus, the other agents that I have reached, after waiting on the phone for 2 consecutive 15-minute blocks, were not even able to transfer me to my claim manager, Aaron **. I am struggling to want to keep my policy and I would not recommend Choice Warranty to anyone. I am hoping to speak with my manager today but I have to admit, I will be very surprised if he contacts me in any way.

This service ended up being far less value than I expected. When my dishwasher broke, Choice decided that my leaking water pump was not replaceable. Then they refused to replace my whirlpool with the same brand, they wanted to replace it with the cheapest brand that has similar features. Then they refused to pay for labor costs at all, and they would not pay for haul away costs for the old unit.

I always got slow reply from review team. I had to call many times and argue with them about their evaluation. And sometimes, I have been rejected for my claim. When I want to talk to supervisor, the responsible person said she was the top one who could talk to which was not true at all. I have tree home warranties for 5 five years in Choice. I hope I don't have to cancel any of them in the future.

The tech was great, knowledgeable, friendly and very Professional. The Service call was outstanding for what he was ALLOWED to do. Despite the fact the microwave is 11 years old. Choice Warranty made us wait 2 weeks to get a tech here. Then choose to force the tech to order parts for an 11 year old microwave instead of just replacing an exceptionally OLD device. Now we get to wait another 2+ weeks before the "parts" arrive and he can get out here again to patch up the 11 year old microwave in an attempt to try and fix an 11 year old microwave.
We're stuck with Choice Warranty for a year. But having to wait a MONTH PLUS for such service means a full Month without a microwave. And even there there is no guarantee the 11 year old unit will last much longer once repaired. Choice Warranty is either Cheap or NUTS. Maybe both. But they sure could care less about the customer. So, this will be our ONLY year with Choice Warranty. Recommendation, TECH GREAT, Choice Warranty, disappointing and can't recommend.

It took a week to get the first appointment, then three weeks until he will be back to install the parts. So it will have taken a month to fix a dishwasher, if he fixes it when he comes in two weeks. A dishwasher is a convenience but what if it were my refrigerator or well pump or central heat.

Recently bought a new house. Faucet was leaking under the sink in the kitchen. After we filed our claim with Choice we were given a time and date within just a few hours of when they would have someone here. Worker was polite and knowledgeable.

The replacement amount for the dishwasher was not enough to put a down payment on a replacement and being told that you pay wholesale. Also the answer to me that it was take it or leave it is ridiculous. The declined ac repair is totally unacceptable due to the fact if ac is going to leak most of the time will be the valves. The answer to that question was unacceptable. The person on the phone did not have any answers. I purchased this contract because online said the best then after reading your Facebook page I found that is not true. Will probably not renew my contract and would not recommend.

They arrived on time, friendly, kind and very professional. They spoke to both me and my husband. They diagnosed the problem and sent the warranty company their findings. After the warranty company approved the fix, they ordered the part and scheduled a date to come back and install it. Hopefully this will fix it.

I had not used my dishwater in a while. So I decided to do so. Put some dishes, glassware, and eating utensils and started the unit. Afterward the unit began to leak water on the lower side and bottom. At that time I shut the unit off and called Choice Home Warranty and put in a service request.

I called about an issue with my dryer not working correctly. Within an hour I had an a scheduled with a repair company. The time didn’t work so I called and talked to the man and we worked everything out. I’ve had great service both times I’ve called Choice Home Warranty with an issue.

Technician came Ann the dishwasher for 15 minutes and said no leak. He was correct but I told him it leaked at the end of the cycle. He said he couldn’t wait that that long and left. He did say he would come back if it leaked within 30 days. After he left I let the washer continue to end of cycle. It leaked. I videoed the leak and sent it to him. I called him in the evening and he said he ordered parts. I have not heard back from him and I can find nothing on the Choice website as to the nature of my claim. What is the status?

Choice found someone within days. I fixed the issue myself and cancelled the repair with no problems. Was offered the opportunity to find my own repair person as an option. Would like a quicker response on claims but everything worked out.

I registered for services with your company on a monthly basis until I could see how the company performs and then change to purchase a year's warranty. It took a month and many phone calls to other companies before I made my decision to call Choice. However, your representative was not honest and deducted a year's fee from my account once he got the account number. Needless-to-say, I am beyond reporting a theft to the authorities and my attorney. This has to be immediately corrected.

Wow! Should have read the reviews before signing up for this warranty!!! Main pool pump went out and my pool guy moved the motor from the waterfall pump over to it so my pool wouldn’t turn green while waiting for a technician to come out and inspect it. The technician sent in the information to Choice and they denied the claim saying something about not covering water feature pumps. Waited two weeks for an appeal phone call and was told that I “should have let my pool turn green” because when their technician went out the main pump was working!! \
Completely ignored the fact that I had taken the motor off the waterfall pump to make it work!!!! What a hoax! I then called to cancel the policy and they told me they could offer me $150 towards the invoice for having it fixed by my own technician and offer me one month free! They knew they were in the wrong and tried to make it up but not by enough by far. Do not waste your money!!!

I am very disappointed with Choice Home Warranty. That’s the second time they let me down. I won’t recommend None of my friends or family to you guys. It’s a ripoff company. Once my contract is done I am not going to renew with you guys.

The technician was GREAT!!! You, your offices, your high level officials. Your customer rep (who I had no contact with) and your timeliness are worse than terrible!! Wait, wait, wait without a refrigerator, Your staff is non-responsive. Separately, I think your offer of 2 cash settlements were lower than I had expected. Now I am awaiting the necessary settlement to arrive. Again--wait, wait, wait.... My rating of your service is less than one star. I do hope that the CEO reviews this rating. I was very happy with the fellow that they sent to my home....He was in and out of here in about 5 minutes....and he did not try to shake me down like the previous plumber did....He was very honest with me, enlightened me about a few things....and I would not hesitate to call this guy again....I was very happy with him, as he was very respectful, and get this....he showed up at 11:30....instead of his slated 3 to 8 start time....so another bonus right there....The plumber/technician was excellent....His helper was sort of odd....but oh well....what are you going to do?...

I truly appreciate the timeliness my claim was addressed. I started having an issue with my air-conditioning Friday night. I filed a claim Sunday morning, Mother's Day. I wasn't expecting any follow up until the next day as it was the weekend and a holiday. I was surprised to receive an email later that day in the afternoon identifying an appointment with a tech for the very next day! He arrived within the given time frame and addressed the issue. The tech was friendly, professional and timely in serving my a/c problem. I was very pleased with the service and his work ethic. He recommended to monitor the temperature in the second floor rooms and to call if the rooms were responding to the added refrigerant in the condensers. He was very knowledgeable and courteous.

Allow the home owner to tell you what they are in search of and then give them options. And at the end of those options do not always try to continue to add on more services.

Maybe that was because the opening welcome email we received from Choice Home Warranty on June 6, 2018 only supplied The CHW Sales Team phone number and no other numbers.

The technician was prompt, courteous, examined the unit and made his recommendations quickly. Now with respect to the rest of the process....unimpressed as no one could provide me with information that told me what they are replacing my AC unit with. I had to call back twice and the second person said they could still not tell me but that I would have to disagree with the non covered portion and then a service rep would be assigned to me. I was hoping to have a person to talk to this am as we have no ac in Charleston.. I am worried that Choice will select a cheap replacement and I will be left fighting with them for a decent replacement unit (from reviews I have read this seems to be an ongoing issue). Hopefully not and hopefully we can resolve this today.

Always happens on a weekend. Sunday afternoon we noticed A/C not working. Called Choice Home and had an appointment for the next day. Company assigned verified appointment the next morning and tech arrived within window promised. Tech was very thorough in his checks and found the issue and repaired the outside unit. Within 28hrs of calling A/C fixed. A lot faster than my old warranty company. Great job.

Texan Mechanical called us on Sunday - they were running ahead of schedule and were able to service our unit Sunday instead of Monday. How unbelievable and wonderful that a Company could work ahead!

I paid him my service fee however it started working then it stopped. It took me several days in order to get a new technician out however I was not charged another service fee. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Scheduling the appointment was fine. When the technician came he was early, I appreciated that. He was knowledgeable and respectable. But customer service was absolutely awful. I submit my letter of complaint on 5/4/22, same day the technician came out, they told me someone would contact me within 24 hours. Today is 5/9/22, no one has contacted me yet. I’ve called numerous of times today still nothing. I’m canceling my service and going to a more reliable company. Very disappointed in the service I received from this company Choice Home Warranty.

I have a 3 year contract with Choice Home Warranty. I had 3 claims that I submitted and none of them were paid by the company. I had one claim that was denied because the part that was needed wasn't listed...I had another claim that was denied because air conditioner parts are covered. Basically nothing is covered!! Obviously, I WILL NOT BE RENEWING BY CONTRACT.

It has been a struggle to get my A/C repaired. One added Freon now works better but not good. Second one they said the line was not properly insulated which was not right, because the tech took a picture of the leaking area and the tech is the one that cut the insulation back. So I filed an appeal and have heard nothing.

I have already had to use the service twice since January. They have been friendly and professional. I had issue with one service technician not showing up it was resolved within 24 hrs and I have had very positive interaction with two other technicians. Ben at Ben's Appliance was awesome. I have had a good experience with their pool vendor. Gary and his wife Tina were very friendly and professional. The kind of people you want working in your home. I would hire them again for issues with my pool in the future. We don't have a lot of issues in our home but when we do it's nice to know Choice is there for us with only a 75.00 labor fee and not hundreds or thousands of dollars in repair bills.

I called Mother's day morning for service on my fridge, freezer and ice maker. Food had defrosted. No ice and fridge was not cold. I can't believe all three were fixed that afternoon. Tech was fantastic. Very nice and knew exactly how to fix. He replaced 3 parts that was on his truck. No waiting for parts to be ordered.

I had no water going to the outside spigots. Plumber came in and replaced the main water valve. It was stuck in the closed position. I have been satisfied with Choice Warranty since I've been a customer. I would recommend this service to anyone who would like to protect their investment.
