I am satisfied with your decision to replace microwave with a coupon to Lowes for $191.00. You only took a couple days to make decision which was great! Not satisfied that it will take 30 days to process. Have you tried to go 30 days without microwave.?

Had Choice Home Warranty (CHW) for several years in the past, and decided to return to CHW. CHW was often very responsive and satisfied all but one of our requests for services. I would recommend CHW to family and friends.

Kevin came to our home assessed the issue one day and the very next day came back and completed the work. Absolutely professional, no mess, quickly did the repair and very knowledgeable. He was very honest and informed us of the problem.

The technician was on time and diagnosed the problem. Then Choice said that it was not covered since the A/C was still under warranty. After paying another company yet another service charge I find out that ONLY the part is covered, NOT the labor. Why doesn't Choice know this?

My Air Conditioning System went out. l called Choice Warranty because l have a Home warranty with them. After l spoke with them they assigned a Air Technician to repair my system within a Hour. The Technician contacted arrived at my Home 45 minutes later checking and Repairing the System. He contacted Choice Warranty and They Approved the Repair work. Now that's Really Fast. l had a Home Repair warranty before and it Took them more than 2 to 3 days to send someone out to fix my appliances. I'm Truly Glad that l Selected Choice Warranty as my Home Warranty Company. l Would Recommend Choice Warranty. They are the Best.

He knew and answered every question that I had and was very nice and eager to help me with everything that I needed. He is an asset to the company. I honestly can’t say enough good about him. The representative was very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint is that he told me he was going to be my account representative and that I could contact him any time with questions or if I needed help with a claim. But he never gave me his name and contact information in writing. All I have is the general team number

Very timely response in all areas, courteous, efficient, no problems connecting with service provider, kept up to date from beginning to end. No problems. Recommend to anyone seeking home warranty. Really saved money at this end of paying 85.00 as opposed to 385.00. Have had this policy for a while so it will take more than one time recoup what have paid out in premium but if something major happens I sure it will more than pay for it

I reported my issue to Choice Home Warranty, and the next day the local repairman was at my home. The repairman diagnosed my problem and reported it to Choice. That was on a Friday. On Monday, Choice informed me that my repair had been approved and that I should contact the repairman, which I did. the repairman ordered the part for my washing machine and came out on Wednesday and repaired my machine. It is working wonderfully now. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience, and Choice did exactly what they represented when I first purchased the home warranty. I am very pleased.

Hello. I have an air compressor that needs to be replaced. The company approved it to be replaced. I’m still waiting to find out how long it will take. It is hot heat in New Orleans and my home is very hot. Otherwise I’m just waiting.

After seeing all the BBB had to say I decided to cancel. What an incredible pain it has been just trying to talk to someone at your lousy customer service line. I have 30 days to cancel my policy. Not 30 days on hold or to be hung up on every time I mention canceling my policy. Now I can see why you have so many complaints.

Looks like they are trained to deny any claim, my bathroom was making big knocking sound and one light fixture screwed on plastic hub just gave up, electrician came took pic. Send to Choice. Was told there's physical damage like I broke myself. Was robbed for $125 for two claims, in 5 mins. If you don't maintain it's not covered. If you do it's physical damage.

Called tech. Came out. Very nice man, knew his job. Replaced the ice maker, noticed a bare wire, call to get authorization to replace door, informed us it was not covered. Ice maker is still doing the same thing. Freezing up and not dispensing ice, Not a happy person.

New member, encountered a Manager Daniel with very efficient, knowledgeable, problem solving issues, etc.... I commended him. I wish more manager like him, not wasting time, direct to the point. Hi, Sunny called and explained the coverage and benefits. I took my time to decide and called him back 30 mins later. He was very clear and confident in responding to my questions. CHW has plans that work really well for most common household issues. I have had sticker shock getting many things fixed. Charges with other providers are often $$ for visit and inspection, then another $$$ to fix, and eventually you realize the part only costs $ and you've paid 3x more! Won't have those surprises with CHW!

My 6 year old cooktop just cracked over the turbo burner. I called Choice Warranty in hopes of getting a live person, but the recording said it would be a long wait, and it would be easier to go online. I went to the website. I must say that it was very easy to get on, as only your email and policy number is required. I answered a few pertinent questions. The next thing I knew, I received a text for a date for the repair company to come to my home in five days, which is fine...not an emergency. I found Choice Warranty's website very easy to use. So it's still early, but fingers crossed, I'm hoping the rest of it will go as smoothly. Waiting to see how the rest of it will go.

Updated on 05/21/2022: I just paid for a 3 year extension and I am going to be cancelling it. I have had this warranty for at least 3 years, first time I've had to use it and greatly disappointed. The salesman I spoke to was lovely. My various customer service interactions, not so much. One call was disconnected by the agent somehow, do you think I got a call back? No. I had to call back and sit on hold for another 15+ minutes. The agents are very transactional and offer no emotion or customer service skills. I asked one agent if the call got disconnected for some reason, would she call me back. The response "I'll try to". WHAT??? Not impressed with any of my interactions.
Next, it took 5 days to get someone to come look at the problem (No AC in 100 degree weather) and from there another 24 hours to hear back that it was being reviewed. Another 48 hours to receive word the claim has been approved. I call the company to schedule a time for them to come, only to be told they have to submit detailed info to you guys and it can take 24-48 hours for next steps (shopping for best prices/parts). Lo and behold, I receive an email that we are ready to process, I only have to pay $1570.00 to get it fixed. WHAT??!! I am sorry, what is the point of having a warranty if you are going to charge me that much money? I don't understand the service you offer/provide. I have another local company that quoted me $1200.00 to fix it and that is WITHOUT any type of warranty or insurance.
I anticipated paying some portion out of pocket but this is ridiculous!!! It appears all I paid for with my "warranty" is for someone to waste my time while my family and pets are dying in this HOT house. I will shop around to find another option for a home warranty. No thanks CHW. Glad this is my only experience attempting to make use of my warranty, as it will be the last.
Original Review: This has been a slow arduous process. It's over 100 degrees outside and we have been without AC for over a week. Slow response times, customer service doesn't offer much help (I've called several times and emailing doesn't help either), finally got service approved only to be told CHW is requesting more info from provider and it could take 24/48 hours for next steps. I just extended my warranty for another 3 years and I am questioning that decision. This is my first time using it in 4 years and it hasn't been that great of an experience.

I have placed 2 claims so far and they took care of the problem within 5 days. Even though the customer service at one time were rude to me now they have improved their skills and I hope to continue doing business with them. 5 stars for their improvement.

What an excellent experience. I called to request a service, the CHW tech was super polite and asked exactly the right questions. She promised a callback from the local contractor within 4-24 hours. The local contractor (Ken's Heating and Air) called in 3 hours and set up a time window for a visit that day. The technician called to ask if it was OK to come a little early. Tech was extremely polite and clearly competent and he diagnosed the issue, confirmed approval with CHW and then did the repair, no muss, no fuss. Very professional encounter at each turn. Well done!

I filed a claim for kitchen disposal not working. CHW appointed someone to come over within 48h. Plumber visited. Performed. Fixed. Also, CHW sends out an email once they assign someone with a contact number. We could call directly as well if we have to reschedule etc. Good Job. Thanks.

Moes Mechanics LLC did an excellent job. He was backed up with jobs that were complicated all day and he was tired, Hungry and it was close to 9 pm. However, he called in advance, ensured it was ok to still come and explained he didn’t want to cancel on us and that the day's jobs had been complicated. He wanted to provide excellent service for all appointments scheduled. He took the time to really look at the issue, he was informative, helpful and sent us a picture of our AC unit so we could see the issue clearly. Straight, no lies, he broke it down for us plainly. He was courteous, wore shoe covers and a mask, explained everything he was doing and asked permission while moving around in our house to get his work done. Great and efficient service. Would definitely hire him again!

Scheduling the appointment took a bit longer than desired because the company first assigned to the job was not really in close proximity to the property. A second company was assigned the claim that was knowledgeable and able to help with processing the request for repair. Choice processed the claim with ease this time.

The blower motor in my furnace went out. I called Choice home warranty and filed a claim. They sent a technician to my home to diagnose the problem. The technician was great! Very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend him. My issue will be solved as soon as the new parts arrive. The best part is, that this only cost me $75 for the service call! Saved me lots of money!

I have not had any issues with choice. Whenever something breaks down I file a claim and within 24-72 hours they send someone to my home to fix it immediately. Worth every penny! I will continue to use them for the next home I purchase to ensure I am always covered.

The technician that came out to fix our air conditioner did a great job. Had the part needed already in their van so we had cool air the same day as the appointment. We were very happy with their service and will be requesting them again if we continue to have issues.

We were offered only $246 for our dishwasher that the tech and Choice both agreed to have replaced. Our exact dishwasher cost $439 and Lowe's charges $149 to install a new dishwasher. We were given less than half of what it's going to cost us to replace our dishwasher. I'm surprised Choice is still in business if they treat every customer this way.

Time will only tell if our unit is fixed. Plumber cleaned out sediment filter, flushed out the tank, cleaned gas line. If this fixes the gas pilot issue from extinguishing I will be extremely happy!! Thank you for sending out the plumber to service our unit!!

It is the same issue that I submitted a claim on a few weeks ago. Same issue, the air conditioning tries to come on, but does not and is not cooling. Blame game on whos not following up on us. Technician is blaming CHW. CHW is blaming technician. Need a manager or higher up on this claim! We have had no response and have been without A/C with Austin temps being over a 100 degrees! Inside home is 120. This needs to be addressed ASAP! As a realtor and homeowner service has been awful.
Please send a competent person to actually send CHW the correct information that you need to expedite our process. The Technician CHW has given us even took part of our unit with him as his evidence report! Now we don't know what to do with this mind boggling service. Either let us get our own person to fix this mess that has been ongoing since 4/13 and reimburse 100% us for the headache, pain, suffering. Just please stop making our children and animals suffer because no one wants to take responsibility of proper service. Horrible service still no call back. As a realtor, I would be ashamed of referring this company!

Design was so kind in coming a day earlier than my first appointment. Due to my wife’s illness where she is unable to spend time in extreme heat, and we have been experiencing extreme heat. Design was professional and customer friendly. Within half an hour they had us up and running. I would definitely recommend Design to neighbors and friends. Great Job Design.

I requested repair of my AC unit that was not operating properly, I was surprised on Tuesday a repairman contacted me advising he was on his way to my home to evaluate my AC system. My previous Home Warranty did not respond to me as quickly. In fact they did not have did not have a technician available or could refer me to, they stated they could provide me with a list of repair companies they don't recommend. I had to pay out of pocket for repair of my AC system after suffering a 116 degree heatwave in July. I cancelled my contract with them and selected Choice. GLAD I DID. Thanks so much for your prompt service. : )

Not happy that some of your contractors don't accept credit cards. In this day and age most people don't keep cash. This is the 2nd claim I have filed. The 1st one didn't take credit cards and the 2nd one doesn't answer the phone so I can ask do they accept credit cards.

Was given payment plans that work for us. Gave us payment plans and options that may or may not work for us financially. Good to know the company can adjust their contracts for seniors on a fixed income. The salesman was patient and eager to work with us.

As an older homeowner and a veteran (fixed income) I appreciate any and all savings available. However, I haven't experience nor knowledge of history of Choice Home Warranty's customer service other than through commercials and reputation read on the internet. Multiple offers for savings in extending contracts. I purchased a year's contract (upfront). I hope requests for services meet/justify the upfront payment.

Submitted repair claim for fridge ice maker repair /replacement. Three days before we got call from Sears repair. Kinda slow service for Choice & Sears. But we have no other choice but Lowe's extended service which we can't seem to reach by telephone (tried 3 days to no avail).

If this is about the garage door opener then the person installing could not have been any nicer and was very prompt. Would highly recommend him anytime. As for Choice Warranty service, very prompt, however, your disapproval to replace my garage door opener with one equal value was greatly disappointing.

Absolutely horrible and will be leaving them at the end of my contract. They send crap technicians and never pay. This is the 4th time they have had to come out for my AC. I have only owned my house for barely 3 years. They tried to send out 2 techs for my AC after they denied the first tech's service on this claim, as they have in claims past. They then tried to have me pay a second service fee for an item that had already been diagnosed.
They assigned it to the worst tech (Davlyn Ross, Ross Heating and Air, MS.) that never showed up...on 2 separate occasions, the initial appointment then the rescheduled appointment...then called 2 hours after each time saying they couldn't make it. OF COURSE YOU DIDN'T MAKE IT! These were days I had to leave work early to come home and wait for 6 hours for him to not show up or even call. He was not turning in crucial info to Choice so they could make an assessment. I had to call 5 times, both Choice and Ross, to get them to be on the same page and talk with each other just so I would know what was going on.
The day of service, which is later today at 5:30, if he shows up (we will see if the service actually happens), was going to be the day that Ross sent the final info over to Choice so they could make a decision. I would have to wait for that, then be stuck with whatever happened. It has taken a month to get this AC unit work to be accepted. I never received any kind of itemized invoice from either Choice or the tech without having to make him write it up in front of me. They expected me to pay $800 with no clue or information on what I was paying for on day of service, if it ever arrived. I wouldn't pay them $5 in that situation. It was so hot here that one of my pets died from the heat...INSIDE THE HOUSE.
I have still to hear anything from any manager about all the trouble I have had with them. An apology email, a phone call, a promise of some discounts for terrible service. Nothing. Incommunicado. No apologies or thoughts for the loss of a family pet. Silence. Oh! They did send me an email asking for feedback...BEFORE THE SERVICE WAS EVEN APPROVED OR DENIED. Who does business like this?
I will be going to another warranty company, hopefully a direct competitor, after my contract is up. Choice's service is only part of the problem. The long waits. The claim of 24/7 service with a call center that shuts down at 5. No option to get a call back. One, single, TERRIBLE "on hold" song. The second part of the problem is the techs they partner with. I have only had one that was worth a salt. They do not give you the choice to use your own tech or suggest one even. They have to be in their network and their network of techs is incompetent, at least in my area.

One of our units broke down on Sunday (of course) but a tech was sent out on Monday. He was able to get it working short-term and was back the next day to repair it. No issues, the guy was quick and did a great job!

I see that there is no coverage for the product. It was not due to accident. When we opened the door after coming back from out of country saw that the refrigerator was not closing properly. Saw a piece hanging which fell off. I don’t know how it is called accidental damage and not covered.

While our AC was out the temperatures reached 99 degrees. I filed a claim with my Choice Warranty online. Within less than 4 hours I received a response notifying me of the company that would do the repair as well as the date and time the repair would be done. The servicemen that arrived was professional courteous and friendly. He wasted no time in finding the problem and making the necessary repairs. He explained what the problem was and told us exactly what he had to do. The repair was expertly done. This the second claim made against this policy. The first was for a compressor failure in a refrigerator and this was for a leaking dryer. We received no help whatsoever. I am so sorry I committed to a 3-year contract. It was a waste of my money.

Top Tier AC tech Froy was a surprise as he contacted me yesterday PM, when he was scheduled for tomorrow, Thurs. Much appreciated because it gets hot here in AZ. All initial claims are very quick. However, service follows-ups can be difficult. No one seems to track outstanding service claims. Customers are left to deal with subcontractors directly. Some contractors are great, and others leave a lot to be desired. I'm still following up on my recent service claim. Parts on backorder. Washer down for almost a month.

Recently my tenant had a problem with AC in his house. I was worried because the cost of repairs is not something I could easily cover out of pocket. I had HORRIBLE experience with Landmark Home Warranty in Texas when my AC randomly died, so I was considering not even calling your company to file a claim. And it looks like you guys are covering everything even though my AC is old! I'll definitely be re-upping for another year! I wish you guys did Texas properties too. Our rental property in Atlanta, GA air condition was not cooling well. I put claim for it. Choice Warranty assigned technician to come in at certain time. We changed air filter in air conditioner ourselves and system working OK so we cancelled technician to come in and claim with choice warranty. We still have 6 months warranty time left. This is my most recent experience where they my water heater started to leak but, when the technicians came it they deemed that it needs to be replaced and I was told before signing the contract that they can cover the replacement but, they denied my claim that they would replace it. Then what is the point of covering the water heater when that is the main thing that usually needs to be replaced if gone bad. Is there anything I can do legally?

As per Choice, "The unit was found with restricted airflow due to dirt and debris build up in the condenser." There was debris inside as the Lawn was cut a few days before the tech came out, the system is Not working and that’s why we have insurance on our Homes, cars, pets, life etc…. So when things go wrong they can get be taken care of, Most insurance providers have no problem in collecting premiums and there is nothing else for them to do until a claim is submitted.
Their job is to try and not pay it - very unfair to the consumer, I have referred many associates of mine to Choice and now I feel I need to advise them differently - It’s today's world with many ways to reach a myriad of people with just a few key strokes. Customer satisfaction is paramount and it’s unfortunate for Choice they see things strictly from a Business view rather than. The Human element. Maybe this review will help them in reconsidering my claim but I have a better chance of getting struck by lightning - Which They Would Cover!!!

The washer required another repair. I submitted my claim on Saturday and the appointment was scheduled for Tuesday. Oahu Appliance and Refrigeration repaired the washer on the initial visit. This was so much better than the previous time the washer needed to be repaired two months ago. Sears Home Services took several weeks to find the part and took couple of appointments to make the repair. Unfortunately, Sears did not do a good job because it needed to be repaired once again. Next time, I would like Oahu Appliance and Refrigeration to make any repairs. Thank you!

Pool pump leak was reported to CHW 5/10. A tech came out 5/11 (from Kamakazi Cooling). Said he could do the repair, but would need to run through CHW. Job was then assigned by CHW to Kamakazi and scheduled for tomorrow, 5/18. Kamakazi told me the repair was a simple one and that they had the parts and people to do the repair. I then received an email from CHW stating that it was cancelled and being reassigned. Nothing yet. Still leaking 8 days after reporting the issue. Concerned.

The first guy came and he told me is no part need order and never came and depot the job was done. The company was J&S plumbing. When I call to HCW they told the job was reported done. 2) Your phone service SUCKS: when calls are answered you are put on hold for 15 -20 minutes the, it tells you to hang up and they will call you back and then finally you get to explain the situation and you are to be transferred to a Resolution Specialist, when someone finally comes to the phone it hangs up. ** then you are to place a call AGAIN!!!
3) A week later I am schedule with a new Electric Company May 16th. The new Tech. came on the 17th as scheduled. The Tech checked the ceiling fan and said it was completely out for tear and wear. The fan has a light fixture all is one piece on the fan which is the light for the kitchen. CHOICE will replace the fan but with one without a light. Here is my question to the BRIGHT AND INTELLIGENT GENIUSES OF CHOICE: How am I to be in the kitchen at night without a light? Cook in the dark? ** Choice is supposed to replace an item when it can not be repaired and replace it with the same brand, quality and performance of the original or BETTER.

Our washing machine decided to die on us and I was very happy to have Choice Home Warranty to call for assistance. The handling of the set-up and the technician arriving were great. The tech was very professional and extremely helpful. We received notification that our washer needed to be replaced instead of repair, so we agreed with the diagnosis and started the "Replacement Process". We live 15 miles outside of any town that has a washeteria so needless to say gathering all the clothes up and taking them to get cleaned is a huge inconvenience and with my wife and I being teachers, we have limited time to do such a thing. When we were told we'd be getting an e-card for purchasing a new machine we thought it would be a quick process and we'd be on our way. We started the "Replacement Process" on May 7, it is 10 days later and we still haven't received the e-card.
When I inquired about the e-card I was told it would take 30 DAYS to receive it. If I would have known it would take this long to get an electronic gift card, I would have never initiated the claim and just went out and bought one myself. This is very frustrating because of the situation your company has caused us. We paid over $1800 for this service. I expect more when I spend that amount. I'm asking that you resolve this issue today so we can get our new machine and not have to set aside time to travel to a washeteria and spend additional money for their washer and dryer. Not to mention the time that we are now having to make to actually get this done outside of our home.

Joseph called ahead of time to see if appt time was convenient and I told him that it was. He arrived on time after calling me first to tell me how far away he was and the time he'd be arriving. Upon arrival, he introduced himself and asked where the water heater was and what problem I was having. I showed him where it was located in my garage and explained that it was leaking water. He took pictures and asked a few more questions then said he would write up his report to send to Choice Home Warranty. I guess after about 45 mins he came to tell me the report was finished and what to expect. I received an email from CHW approving the repair and he later called to set up a time to repair it. He did everything he said he would, cleaned up and checked to make sure everything worked properly. I appreciate his professionalism and honesty and would recommend him to friends and family.

The Plumbing Company that was sent was very professional, knowledgeable and worked very quickly to assess and repair the issue. Once repaired the area was cleaned and the technician took pictures of the before and after repair and the ceiling that was ruined by the leak and reported it back to Choice. Very efficient and took care to keep my carpet and floors clean with shoe covers. Although I do not wish to have another issue, I'd be happy to have them come by again to fix any plumbing issue.

I purchased a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty almost 3 years ago. Last Saturday I called them to claim when my garage door broke down. The agent told me that they are not covering those issues, they only cover the garage door remotes. You can buy it from Amazon for less than 20$. I thought they are great because they advertise and put in the contract that if an item can be fixed they will fix it or can't be repaired, they will replace it. NOT TRUE! You read the fine print in the contract, and it is misleading. They are just liars. There are many other trustable companies. Don't waste your time and money. Definitely, I do not recommend this terrible insurance company.

The person that answered the phone was cold and very unassuming. They appeared to be in a hurry just to make a sale and not provide any accurate information. My questions were dismissed and I was told I would get the information in an email. If this is how you treat people after they buy their product Oh, I am concerned about the warranty that I have purchased.

I waited for four days before I decided to try to find my own AC technician. A sudden heat spell hit and the HVAC companies were inundated with calls. When I found a company, they came out three days later. Submitted the information for reimbursement, and that process was cumbersome, but the repairs were made within a couple of hours. Now, I will be waiting on reimbursement. I checked on the status and it said it has been approved, but we never received a text message with the authorization.

Technician showed up when expected and performed job satisfactorily. Opened up drywall to determine cause of leak. Cleaned up when finished and took all remaining parts. Only downside was I had to open a new ticket to get someone to repair drywall.

It was ok. My A/C was making noises and the technician just came out and said "It's old, it just makes noises". He didn't try to see if anything else was wrong. I also complained the air coming out was not as cold and he touched a pipe and said "it's cold". Then left.

Bought a home in Florida and at the same time bought a one year policy with Choice. A little over a month later the A/C started acting up and not cooling very well. Called Choice and they said no problem and they would send a technician to check it out and I would have to pay him $50 for the problem solving. The next day an old car pulls up and a guy gets out and says he was sent by Choice to check the ac unit. He looked like a homeless guy off of the street. From the front of the house he looked towards the ac unit and said he was sure it was too old to fix and would need to be changed. He then said the cost would be a little over $5ooo for a 2 ton ac unit and that I had to pay him the $50 inspection fee before he would look at it. Then he walked up to the unit and looked and said it could not be fixed and he would send a report to Choice.
The next day Choice called and said that the supposed technician said the unit was old and worn out and could not have been working when we bought the house and that they would not repair or change it. They then said they would cancel my policy and send a refund minus the month I bought it with no problems. I told them about their supposed technician and she said that they only use certified technicians for their inspections. The next day I called a reputable heat and air company and they came and checked it and said that it was an older ac unit but the problem was that a valve was leaking the Freon out and needed changed, and that was a free inspection and repairs were less than $100.00 to fix it. Choice Warranty is nothing but a SCAM to get money from people. I do not recommend anyone buy their lies in their ads. In their ads they even highlight that they cover ac units regardless of their age.

I am totally frustrated. I was approved for replacement. Now I have to wait 30 days for an e-card replacement. I can understand a washer or dryer but a refrigerator. It is expensive to eat out and feed my family. An e-card is sent by email. The service here just doesn't support basic necessity of life. After, this I would rather pay more from a different provider than to continue with this inconvenience that Choice provides. Fed up.

I was very happy with the response time for getting a repairman to my home but was disappointed that the technician had to ask for approval to make the needed repair and that response was over 12 hrs coming. The repair was made and so far the A/C is working fine.

My combo washer dryer stop spinning. Prior it would take you guys a week to ten day to get someone out then hopefully get it repaired but a major upgrade has happen. Three days, on time and working great. Monty (technician) was courteous and prompt. Explained the problem and the solution and within a reasonable amount of time had it running. Would give more than five stars.

I have had three separate claims. Not once was anyone nice to me on the phone. Read the fine print. I did and thought it would be ok, but they twist it. I pay the service fee and the technician comes out. This is the best part of their service because it is fast. Then the technician tells me what is wrong, and in our case all three appliances need replacement. Fine. Then they offer me Lowe's gift cards for about 2/3 the price of what I can get anything at Lowe's for, even the base model that doesn't have the same features.
It clearly states that they don't match colors and that they pay you "their cost, which may be less than retail." Trust me it is always less than retail. Also, I don't care about color, "send me the one you can get." "No, we are not allowed to send replacements." So, you offer me less than replacement value and don't back it up with any proof of your cost. Can I talk to a manager? Of course not, each agent tells me they ARE the manager and there is no one higher in the company I can talk to.
Oh, and they clearly state in the contract they are responsible for installation, but do you think they paid for installation on any of these replacements? Nope, apparently in a contract I didn't sign, if they give cash value they are not responsible for replacement. No one has answered that question and the last time I asked I was yelled at and got hung up on after being told to file a complaint. I said "to whom? You are the manager!" Manage your expectations if you use this company. I will never recommend them or use them again just based on their customer service. Sad because if they were nice and would honor their contract by paying for installation, I would probably use them again knowing I would get less than full price and have to pay $40 for a technician. You never make your money back with these companies, but now I see why they make so much money.

Responded and scheduled my claim immediately the next day. The company they scheduled us with to fix my plumbing issue was so nice and easy to work with! We had to reschedule because nobody will be home and the plumber was understanding and was able to reschedule the appointment on our preferred date and time.

Everything that breaks is generally from wear and tear. You never know when that item may break. They refused to pay for my broken pool because of normal wear and tear. Makes no sense to me. I’m canceling your company and sticking with American home shield that’s never denied me any claims even though they're more expensive. At least they fix my stuff.

The technician from Herdez Repair did an excellent job. He called ahead to make sure we were expecting him, he called to let us know he was on the way. I have requested that my policy be cancelled. Policy was a Total Plan to cover air conditioning but the part needed wasn't covered. Every time I have requested service the tech sent has to come several times and with the washer it still doesn't work right. No more then I have request help I could have paid to have fixed except fit the air conditioner and you all have refused to fix. CANCEL THE POLICY ASAP.

Aussie Pool Services arrived on time. Very helpful, although since he could not see the leak he did not do anything other than look things over and tell me what to watch for. He said he would come back if I saw the leak again. It started leaking the next day when the pool pump came one. He came back on the 12th (I think). Chlorinator was visibly leaking. He replaced a ring and/or sealed the chlorinator. I explained to him that it should be covered under the warranty but the charge was $50 which I paid.

Making the claim was easy and painless, now the contractor took way too long to respond. 5 days with no refrigerated with a 18 month baby not cool! But it all worked out in the end, the respond time needs to be a little quicker.

UPDATED 05/17/2022: On Tuesday May 10, I put an online request for service on my refrigerator because I had no freezer. On Monday May 16, 2022 a serviceman finally arrived. That is almost a week. I Iost a lot of food, sour milk, unfrozen ice, etc. Why did it take so long to come and look at this refrigerator witch is a very important appliance in the kitchen?? Also, last year CHW replaced a dishwasher. They gave $254.00.You cannot buy a d/w for less than $300. Also dissatisfied.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I made an online request for service on my refrigerator on May 11, 2022. I did not hear anything back for two days so I made an inquiry to Choice Home Warranty. They told me a service tech would be at my home on Monday May 16, 2022. The whole process took 6 days. I lost all of my frozen foods, milk and ice cream. Also, one year ago I had my dishwasher replaced and they gave me only $254. You cannot buy a dishwasher for less than $300. Not too happy about Choice Home Warranty.

First assigned Garage door company (Winston Door) never showed up, never called, nothing. After many phone calls and hours with CHW was assigned another company (Overhead Doors). That part of this ordeal went smoothly somewhat up until CHW opted to DENY claim for really unknown reason??? Door tech was puzzled but not surprised. He said insurance companies like CHW are notorious for denying claims. ‘That’s their MO’. So instead of paying the $65, I paid the full amount of $755. I submitted a rebuttal to their denial but we all pretty much know how that’s going to end.

This was the first time I used my Choice Warranty membership. I was concerned that it would be a lengthy and confusing process but it turned out to be extremely easy and took very little time. I was connected to the scheduling department right away and given a convenient time for the technician to come to fix my leaking dishwasher. I must say, it was a very pleasant experience.

The Gates Heating and Air company came on Saturday afternoon and found the problem quickly. It was 2 pounds low on Freon. He added the Freon and cleaned the unit. He was very nice. I contracted with the company to clean the unit twice a year.

The technician arrived and very carefully found two things that were wrong with our dishwasher, some holes in the swing arms and some dimples in the gasket. He had to order the gasket and said he would make a return visit as soon as he gets the gasket. He said that would probably take several days.

In Texas AC is important, I had to stay away from my house for 3 nights until AC guy came. It would have been nice to try more providers to find one sooner. The AC company was great but I would have liked faster service from my home warranty service company.

We loved the experience with our service call tech from Harrison. But now your company would not approve the claim because you say it's not from normal wear. How would we warp the plastic that keeps air out of the door. We are appealing your decision. So as of right now, we wouldn't give your company one star. What is the purpose of buying your warranty if you find reasons to not repair the appliances. I would not recommend your company to anyone. We feel we are taken advantage of, and will report to BBC about this if it isn't taken care immediately. Also we haven't never made a claim to you on anything.

I came from another warranty company to try Choice. I went with the top tier. Well after being with you for 6 months, I filed a claim because my refrigerator/freezer just stopping working, the light was on, but no cooling in the refrigerator, everything in the freezer part started melting all over the place. I filed a claim on May 7th, to get it repaired. Harrison Appli. came out on Wed., send in a report what all was wrong, this unit is quite old, but it ran very well, and we keep up the maintenance on it.
The rep stated that the compressor, was gone, It appeared the relay switch, Capacitor, was also done, The seals were in good shape, but they were old, and when you replace these other things, the seals should also be replaced, also the Defrost kit should also be replace., and Refrigerant should be put into the unit. Well he wrote up his report, and the next day, he receive a text stating that my unit was not covered because there was a crack in the seals which made the compressor go bad, and that is why the unit will not work. Well I never hear anything so stupid in my life. I went over the seals myself, and there is not one crack anywhere around the freeze or refrigerator at all.
Since this unit is 15 years old I take pride in making sure everything is clean, we vacuum as needed, and change the filters. We wipe out the inside and outside on a regular basis, so where did they get we have cracked seals. I am not very happy at this time, and I want this resolved asap. We have been without a unit for over a week now, and it appears that you guys are trying to find a way out. This is not a way to treat a new top tier customer on their 1st claim. I would like this issue resolved ASAP, since I have lost a large amount of money on spoiled food fooling with your company. I will take this as far as I have to go to get this resolved. My air conditioner unit claim was denied. I submitted a claim because my system wasn't cooling even after lowering the thermostat temperature as low as 70 degrees. The policy states "repair or replace". CHW did neither. They serviced and repaired my other claims (refrigerators and stove) because they were minor part replacements. Is CHW going to pick and choose what to service according to cost? Seems that way!

I used to be a staunch supporter of Choice. Then as things broke (as they do and why we get the warranty and they tell you on the phone - if it breaks, we cover it), there was always some exception to why they won’t cover repairs. And they are the monster common reasons things fail. I was also told by one rep, "you’ve spent too much money on claims so far and we won’t cover more". Uhhh what the heck.

I was pleased with the technician CHW sent to look at our Electrolux dryer. I was a little disappointed that it took two weeks before someone could come. He ordered our part...Now hopefully that comes sooner than later and we can get it repaired. I miss my dryer.
