Aside from it taking a while to get it assigned to a technician. I was very happy with Scott from Bajack Plumbing. He was professional and seemed to do a good job on both plumbing issues. For some reason Choice accidentally had Bajack come out to my residence twice. But when Scott called me yesterday to head my way, I told him it was a mistake. Choice needs to get their stuff in order. I will give them the benefit of the doubt as it was a holiday weekend. I'd rather they had sent the plumber out twice than not at all. With the state of things in the country right now, I can see how mistakes can happen

Called to possibly get a new policy for 2 properties. One: A 4-unit and was quoted several different costs. They try to talk you into a 4 or 5-year policy at lower cost and say you can cancel anytime and get a "full" refund for any unused time. I continued to let him know I just want 1 year. Then he tried to talk me into getting separate policies on each of my 4 units at a lower price - Told him NO I just want policy called the Total Plan that covers community used washer/dryer and water heater.
My email stated cost $945, but amount charged was $2100 which was to be for my 2nd single residence rental property for 6 years. I had to call and was transferred several times before I got this straightened out. I asked to see the Contract, and they told me to select "get copy of contract here" which didn't work. I asked to have it emailed and was told they have to mail it which would take up to 30 days to receive. I could not wait that long as they only give 30 days to cancel and get a refund. So, was transferred and was able to get a copy emailed.
I still have not received "any" information about my 2nd property also ordered yesterday, but I do see one charge on my credit card for a total of $3,045 for both properties. I am calling now to find out where the info. for 2nd property is! Salesmen are located all over the country and are all very, pushy and don't take NO for an answer. You can be quoted several prices depending who you speak to and when you don't like the price, they put you on hold and say "Let me speak to my manager or supervisor" and come back with a better offer. I've never spent so much time just trying to get coverage before - But, their prices are much better than others so might be worth it. Will see when we have our 1st service call.

My pilot light went out on my water heater. About 10 pm, I was taking a later shower and the water was getting colder and colder. I checked my water heater and noticed the pilot light was out, so there was no hot water for me. I called CHW about 11 pm and I was able to get to a person after working through the not so nice automated service thing. The human on the other end set me up with a technician that came out the next day to troubleshoot my issue and now I have hot water.

Our stove and oven were having issues. We filed a claim and had a technician within our home to analyze the issue within 48 hours. One day after that, we had a cash out offer to use toward a new unit since the repair cost were too high and didn’t make sense. We were impressed!

The technician who came from Sensible Air Heating & Cooling was good however once he submitted the claim to you downhill from you. Choice Home Warranty never approves any large jobs. Only fans. Sometimes washer or maybe a dish washer. What's the use of having them when you really need them? I have not been approved for no large jobs. Hot water heater, I had to paid for it, air condition.
Come to think of it Choice have not done no large jobs and right now it's hot as hell and I am a military dependent and they even went up on the fee without telling me, I guess they look at me like a fool because I still have them as a warranty company, you keep sending these little companies out who are not qualified so they cheat the customer and do a half ** job then your hands are out of it like now my is down again, just had it repair last year, you say it's under warranty, you give me a number. There we go again. Your hands is out of it leaving the customer to fend for herself, I am 74 and you as my so call warranty company suppose to be working for me, this time I am not going to turn my back like in the future,

I was recommended by 3 different people to go with this company for my home warranty. Excited about starting, I was pissed when I spoke to a rude representative. I understand sales, but this guy (Nathaniel) was straight up rude & pushy. Had I not been impressed by other reviews & recommended by trusted sources, I would cancel the service.

Not certain I will keep home warranty coverage. Had for many years without a claim. My AC issue was not covered at all, cost me $1400. Mr Lowery from Lowery Heating & Cooling Co was a very caring and experienced mechanic who fixed the problem in one long day. Very satisfied with repair.

Overall have been pleased. Just renewed for 3rd year. Sales people were pretty pushy for this last renewal and last vendor that responded to a call didn't finish the job but reported it complete. Sometimes it takes a little too long to get an appointment, too. Hopefully, this last request will be quick since my air is out. One account rep, Debbie ** is fantastic.

Very fair company. They had my needs taken care of very quickly. My AC was being worked on 2 hours after I called Choice. I am very happy with the warranty. Thank you for such quick response. Our summer is going to be amazing with the AC fixed. Also the tech gave me a lot of information on how to take care of my AC.

I had an issue. It was addressed Pronto. Recommend Recommend. Once you the source, put in your claim, watch how fast you get service. Price may grow but the amount you will save makes up for it again and again.

The air conditioner in my house was damaged. I filed a claim based on the promise in my contract. Your home's air conditioning is covered. 2 months ago the air conditioner was damaged and they fixed it for me but now it is damaged from the same thing and they deny my claim giving me reasons that no one could understand.

I have heard others complain about their warranty services. I have not had much of a problem with Choice and have recommended you several times. I know of three of my friends who have gotten your services after I had told them about incidents that went well with you for me.

Online claim request is pretty simple to start and follow the process. I'm normally able to get repairs handled quickly by one of their preferred contractors. This company has increased the maximums for claims which has helped greatly with pool issues.

I started investigating companies a few weeks ago and requested that no one contact me. I would contact you when ready. OMG! As many as five calls in one day and not one single day without any calls. I've been hung up on when I ask them to take me off the lists. I do not abuse the reps, who wants to help someone who is being mean? They didn't make the rules. I thought I had phones another company and it turns out it was Choice. Before I knew it was Choice I was bullied into buying your service. I need to cancel for these reasons plus my husband went nuts. CANCEL.

I have a reference policy from my friend and would like to have the same, as I think the coverage and price are better than what I could find from other online quote. Hasson from CHW called back and quickly matched it for me. Both of us knew what I wanted, and so there was no unnecessary hassle.

Very disappointed. But about what I expected. Considering that my house is approximately 26 years old - my claim was denied due to a missing screw. I have two policies with Choice. I receive about twenty emails a day from Choice about signing up and renewing.

The plumber comes takes payment and after the payment says that it is not covered because CHW rejected the repair. He has to remove (not replace) the toilet to clean the clogged drain. CHW disapproved the claim. What do you cover CHW? I feel cheated - I have to now call another plumber, pay them again to get the job done. Having CHW is extra cost for me at no value. It is time waste. Stay away from these warranty companies like CHW. They only exist to take money and find ways to reject the job.

A Mr. Rooter consultant came out saying that our leak was a Bib issue and then y’all came back stating y’all weren’t covering the issue. When in our contract it clearly states that is covered. We filed a dispute as everything should of been covered and the guy that was assigned to our dispute never answered my husbands to calls and voicemail, my voicemail nor my email. We ended up having to pay our contractor to come fix the leak, and bib. We are now out $85 that we paid you, plus what we paid them. Very disappointed.

This company is a Rip Off, and preys on older people who actually need a reputable company to assist them in time of need. It seems like if there is a way to weasel out of paying for a claim, this company has found it. In our case, the hot water heater needed to be replaced because it was leaking. Coverage states that all components and parts of the water heaters are covered.
The exclusions state that secondary holding or storage tanks are not covered. A hot water heater only has a primary water holding tank. That is the definition of a hot water heater. It is a tank of water that gets heated by an energy source. Why else would you replace a water heater, unless the primary water tank is leaking. There are no other moving parts in a hot water heater, so what is actually covered? My next steps will be to contact the attorney general, to try to put this company out of business. In my opinion, this company is a scam.

Blower motor went out on residential A/C, claim submitted and it was repaired in two days. Service tech was extremely professional and had the repairs completed in about 30 minutes. Cost was $85.00 for the service call versus $475.00 which was quoted by an independent contractor.

Actually, I'm very dissatisfied with CHW response after I complained that the technician who repaired my dishwasher didn't put it back in place properly. CHW is now asking me to pay for the $60 fee for the technician's next visit while he should have done it after he repaired the dishwasher.

I had my HVAC summer maintenance check performed by a local firm. They claimed my AC compressor needed to be replaced at a cost of $5,000 because my system was nor working right. They said they may be able to do a $600 maintenance fix and avoid the replacement. I told them that my Choice Warranty required use of an Choice approved technician. They were very upset. The Choice approved technician looked at it found that the system was working ok and no work was required. My AC has been working great with no problems, and a scam was avoided.

The gentleman I spoke with was very professional and knowledgeable about the service plans. After talking to him I decided to pay for the plan for one year in advance. He stated the service fee cost and one year plan by paying full amount I would receive one free month. He was very helpful and this process did not take long to complete. What I don't appreciate is the small amount of funds to replace my microwave and the fact that I have to go Lowe's b/c you are only offering me a Lowes gift card, and not to mention I have to wait for that.. I will NEVER EVER refer anyone to use Choice.

AC went out on a Friday and I think because of that I had difficulty getting it fixed right away. This Friday was the first day in Vegas where temp went over 100 degrees. Contractor didn’t have the part. I waited Saturday, Sunday and Monday and finally it was approved and fixed on Tuesday I believe. At least it was fixed. However I was disappointed in the contractor not choice warranty.I paid out of pocket since they didn’t want to wait for payment from Choice?? They said I could get reimbursed from choice warranty. I was told I couldn’t get reimbursed so the contractor would reimburse me upon them receiving payment. I think the girl in the contractors office almost got fired. But it all worked out hopefully in the end. If I do not get reimbursed by the contractor then I am reporting them. They should not receive payment from both me and Choice Warranty.

Technician Roger and assistant Vincent arrived within the first hour of my service window from A-Snap Plumbing Services in San Antonio, Texas. They immediately commenced to diagnose the issue of running water in my two toilets and determined it was caused by synthetic water seals which required replacement. The seals were replaced and the issue in Both toilets were resolved! The two technicians followed Covid-19 protocols by wearing face masks. Very efficient and professional. Thanks.

It took forever so I tried to do the reimbursement. No one local would accept the job and do the approval process. Once I gave up and got Choice to try and find someone again they did so relatively quickly. But the company tried for over a week to get approval for the work before coming out and doing it.

I had a contract with one of the other warranty companies for 15 years. At times I was treated fairly, but in the last few years there always was just that 'little something' that would disqualify by request or cause the reply 'not covered with your contract'. Funny, it always had been but the reply from the company was some minor changes had been made and new types of contracts now existed. As you can expect, mine after 15 years had gone from Premium to Basic without consent on my part. After several talks with Choice, the difference was obvious and a 'no-brainer'. Change had to take place, the people could not have been nicer, and I look forward to many years with them to come. Time will tell, but I already feel a peace of mind in my decision. Thanks Choice for the great transition.

My garage door wouldn't let up and down. It had been out for about two weeks. The tech finished the work quickly. It was nice. Having Choice is wonderful because I don't have anybody to look at and fix my washing machine or fridge or stove or anything since my son passed.

We came home from out of town and the air conditioner was not cooling. I had it set at 75F and it was 85F in house. The lady on the phone, when I called in the claim was very nice but told me that she could not expedite and I would have to wait up to 24 hours for someone to respond, this is not acceptable. You should have emergency service in these situations.

The repair person came within the promised window. Called to make sure I was home. He Ran it through a cycle to make sure it was working. Solved my problem quickly and made sure I could operate the dishwasher correctly. Turns out I didn't need a part as I thought.

The washing machine control would not function. Unplugged the machine. Let it set for two hours and plugged it back in. The control panel still would not work. Called Choice and filed a claim. They called back with the name of the company and phone number that will be doing the work. The man named Wayne came out and said the circuit boards will have to be replaced in the control panel. He called back within a short time and said Choice had approved the ordering of the circuit boards and they would come to the house. They were delivered on May 28 late in the evening. Will call Wayne and let him know they are here in the morning May 31. This was a fast turn around.

I am pleased that Choice supported me and stood behind their commitment to replace my heater. It's difficult taking cold showers. My only suggestion is that the process could have been a bit more expedient. I understand that it is difficult to approve replacement items until you have all the info requested. Now that I am aware of the process, I'm sure I will be better prepared next time. I will recommend my family and friends now!

Technician came in, heard the noise and quickly knew what was wrong. He inspected the dryer, everything looked new except for the wear and tear of the belt he changed quickly. However he came to fix washer as well, but did not have parts to fix. He has to come back after submitting to Choice. Presently have not heard from them in 3 days, probably have to wait on parts. I think he said seal is twisted.

After a little bit of phone tag, we were able to set up an appointment. The technicians arrived on time and quickly checked the garage door opener. Recently, I filed a claim and I was told in an email that I would receive notice of the name of the person who was coming, but I had no advance notice. This person just showed up at my doorstep. It was lucky my husband was home. Otherwise, no one would have been here when he came.

I thought that your service and product was expensive, and not what I expected! The sales/customer service rep. needs to learn what NO means, High PRESSURE and must be on COMMISSION? Most of my Appliances are 2 yrs. old or less, including ALL Hvac systems, etc. Thinking about cancelling order or not renewing in future? Although we had to wait almost a week and a half for the repairmen to come out, he was very professional and had the problem fixed before he left. It was a relay which was a minor problem as opposed to a compressor. Way to go Sears.

My experience from the point I submitted my claim to the point that my air conditioning system was repaired was nothing less than phenomenal. CHW makes the process of submitting the claim super easy, the tech worked with me on the appointment time/date that was actually perfect for me, the techs that came out to the house for assessment and repair were super professional and EFFICIENT... I can't praise this whole process enough. Best of all I have AC again. I had problems last year with the AC (different than this time around) and dealing with the installer was less than a good experience to say the least. Mind you the unit is not quite three years old. I'm so glad I decided to go with CHW. I will have a plan with them for as long as I'm a homeowner.

Upon informing a Choice Warranty representative of my two issues. I was informed within 24 hours of the companies that had been assigned to my property. It included a contact number, date and approximate time. Both technicians called when they were en route. I’m happy you approved claim. In the future You should itemize any uncovered portion of the claim as rather than just send email saying approve or deny. My uncovered expenses were higher than expected but there was no way to know what they were until I went through the waiting process on the phone for 20 mins to find out what they were.

I was very disappointed with my latest claim for my broken oven/microwave combination. Choice offered me a wholesale offer to replace the appliance of $667.00. It will cost about $3,000.00 to replace the unit. When I read the contract, which was an eye opener, I feel as though using Choice Home Warranty wasn’t the best choice. They do not cover any claims but simple ones such as clogged drains and a broken garage door. I am on a fixed income and thought it policy would be a big help to cover when things go wrong but I was wrong. I am seriously considering canceling my policy.

CHW failed to repair or replace our professional 6 burner cooktop by heartland. After over 2 months of fighting we were forced to take a check for 600.00 as a buy out. CHW was unable to find a repair service even though I provided two local companies that specialize in high end appliances. We paid for one of the companies' service call out of our pocket. The company access the cooktops challenges. We submitted the repair orders which amounted to 2k.
NOW We have to buy a new professional 6 burner cooktop out of pocket with a 600.00 check. NO WAY IN REALITY THAT IS POSSIBLE. EQUAL FIT FORM AND FUNCTION currently prices out around 4,000. On the low end and upwards of 10k on the high end. I was asking for the 1,800 we paid for the cooktop 19 years ago. We have the receipt. I thought that was more than fair as CHW was deciding to NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE AS PROMISED. CHW FAILED US IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.,

Remotes & transmitter to open the garage door wasn't working on Memorial weekend. Got a reply back within a few hours that a serviceman would be coming the next day. The rest is history. A new transmitter, remotes, keypad & safety beams were installed that afternoon all for the cost of a $65.00 service call. Never had such a quick, smooth uneventful home warranty approval & installation process like this in my 25 yrs of having a home warranty on my home.

Hot water heater leaking all over my garage and over a week now and it still isn't replaced!! This water heater is available all over town but Choice wants to do their own thing. They are great at selling but slow when it comes to getting anything done. Oh..and they won't actually pay for the replacement. They want you to pay for all sorts of fees that are part of the installation. Over 375.00 out of my pocket to replace a water heater that supposedly is covered. What an awesome deal..

I am enjoying Choice Home Warranty very much. I'm so glad I have it when something breaks down. However, CHW doesn't have a place on the claim form to describe what kind of appliance it is, what model it is, or what serial number and that should be there. One time, I had a very expensive ceiling fan and it went. I never heard back from anybody on that when I put in the claim. I found out a year later that they only cover normal everyday fans for $49. That was a disappointment because you would expect to get an exact replacement. But for my recent claim, the water shutoff valve was not shutting off completely, so it flooded my floor in the kitchen. The tech had the part on the truck. When he left, it was all done perfectly.

Tech misdiagnosed the problem. Had to leave to do 2 other jobs (overbooked). Then came back and replaced the part he thought was bad, only to find there was another part that was bad. He left again to go get that part and came back and FINALLY got it fixed.

Toilets backed up, then back up in bathtub and shower. This happened on 5/22/2022, put claim in and could not get plumber until 24th. Plumber (MR. Cogged Plumbing) came out. Very nice tech. (Robert) saw the problem. Took pictures and ran router through line. When that was done ran all faucets, shower, toilets dishwasher and washing machine. Everything drained fine. After Robert left ran a load of wet towels from backup problem and drained but heard bubble in toilet. Then later that night my husband took shower and drain started to back up again also causing water to come from under toilet. Wet towels again.
Called CHW on 25th. Explained the problem that we needed plumber back out again. This time to run camera through line to see if there was a break in line. Called Plumbing company and they told me they had to wait for the authorization from CHW. As of today the 28th. I have heard nothing from CHW. Cannot take showers, run dishwasher, washing machine etc. Have to keep eye on toilets in case they back up. Not very happy with the delay. I realize it is a holiday weekend but at least they could have responded by Friday the 27th. This is the reason I only gave them a 3 star rating.

The local plumber was very punctual, polite and qualified to repair/replace the malfunctioning home appliance unit. I would recommend CHW to anybody I know in a snap. Capacitor went out in the afternoon of May 20. CHW HAD ALREADY BILLED MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE SECOND MONTH ON THE SAME DAY. They still tried to deny my claim saying policy was only active for 30 days. Case manager spent 35 minutes on the phone with me yesterday and was suppose to call me back today at 10:00 am eastern time but never called to continue the discussion. AC company tried to bill for parts they did not install. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND!

Off to a rocky start -- my first claim and you scheduled a tech for a week later -- leaving me with a clogged kitchen sink backing up into my sink and dishwasher to dripping onto my hardwood floor. I bought a house 2 1/2 yrs ago and it seems the inspector missed a few items that needed to be fixed. I'd been having trouble with my GFI's popping even when there was no overload. I also suddenly had an outlet that came up dead. Once that happened, I placed a service call for it to be fixed. Within 24 hrs, my GFI's were deemed sick and needing replacement (and they were replaced) and my dead outlet came back to life by tightening up the wire connection in the plate. He also checked my master circuit breaker and fixed some wiring that was OK, but he made better. Great service, amazing scheduling and very satisfied with the choice of business and the results. It took two tries. The first tech never showed or responded to my calls, when I finally did reach someone after the appointment time had passed, I was told the technician was caught up on another job but I would receive a call back shortly with an ETA. Almost three hours later and no call or tech, I reached out to Choice and requested it be reassigned which it was but I had to wait another week, but the technician arrived on time, was polite and courteous. Horrible company as they offer me $191 for my old microwave and it’s going to cost me close to $300 to replace. Why have insurance when it ends up costing me more out of pocket to replace the microwave. The technician was wonderful and although he arrived after his scheduled time frame he was worth the wait! He coordinated the late arrival. He had fantastic customer service, was very kind and very knowledgeable about the work. We would def recommend him to our friends!!!!

The claim was approved on April 15th. Very dissatisfied with service. Very slow response. Choice did not follow up with the technician approval to pay part that were approved after they requested the payment. Then on may the 18 the I was assigned other company. The technician was very nice. It very long wait with choice customer service each time I called to follow up and each I was told different information..

The service man was very professional. I am pleased with the service received. The unit was not working and the area serviced was very warm. After an investigation the repairman identified and corrected the problem. I am happy with the results. I have not received any kind of incentive for this review.

I have a heat pump they have sent technicians out to work on for 2+ years from now 4 different companies and saying that now it’s condemned. It’s faulty workmanship. Go back after and sue the technicians. This company is a joke. They are unresponsive and unreliable and don’t stand up to their word!!

Submitting a claim online with CHW has been okay, but it's hard to explain a problem that you're having on a computer with notes. I would rather talk to a live agent about a problem. Also, CHW uses people way out of town. For my first claim, the guy covered a big area the garage door was at. He was also cocky. If I ever have trouble with the garage door again, I'm gonna request that he doesn't show up. The second guy to come out was from a small electrical company about 60 miles away from here. He did a good job, though. He was really amazing, prompt, made suggestions to me, and did extra.

I have to be fair so I gave three stars. I have had Choice Home Warranty for over five years, There are Still exclusions on the new and updated contract. If you are lucky you get coverage it never pays the full amount.. There are so many hidden teams and fine line terms. At the end of the day if are not declined and you get coverage Expect to be between 30% to 50% cost out-of-pocket - Also you have no control of what replacement parts you get. In most cases they will source the parts you can’t even upgrade.

Technician arrived on time and worked to make repairs. Since a replacement compressor could not be located, Choice proposed on the spot to offer a very fair amount for us to use in buying the replacement appliance of our choice from the vendor of our choice. We feel that their solution was fair and equitable. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous.

We appreciate the quick response Mr Freeze gave us in repairing our air conditioner. It went out the day before and it was extremely hot inside our home. The Mr Freeze representative visited us a day early, checked the air conditioner out, got the part needed and put it back together. Great job!

CHW were quick to response to my service request. However, after the technician's visit and a bill for nearly $3,000, which I have agreed to, I have neither received any information as to when the work will be started, and 90 degree weather is in the forecast within a few days. CHW has not disclosed what they are covering, which looks like I am responsible for ALL labor and materials. Which began the question-what am I paying for when they deduct $50 dollars from my account, monthly?

I appreciate that my sink basket was replaced and the leak was stopped. However, my garbage disposal was not fixed and neither was my shower. I will have to pay an electrician and another plumber to have those fixed. I am rethinking my need for a Home Warranty. Perhaps I should save my monthly fee and cover my systems as needed.

I received an Email reminder of a confirmed appointment that I had to take off work for. The contractor never called or showed. I contacted Choice who said the contractor didn't answer and took my number for a callback. Though Choice responded to my claim quickly, I feel they need to make sure they have professional and reliable contractors. I'm disappointed. This isn't the service I'm used to getting from this company. I suppose I have to reschedule my appointment. I have not heard back from anyone.

After reporting a problem with the burner, we received a quick response for help. Alex, our technician, was prompt, kind and efficient. Our only concern is the replacement offer which was quite low for us to replace our oven/range/burner since it apparently could not be repaired. However, we accepted the offer even though we were not pleased with it.

I’m not one who makes a lot of claims but with this claim it took over a week and I received an email saying that I was able to do the reimbursement process because CHW could find anyone. I pay every month for this service and you want me to do the job I pay CHW to do. Unexceptionable. Very disappointed in the way that CHW handled this claim and hope for a better outcome in the further. I also received an email 2 hrs before the service worked was coming to my house by CHW. CHW did not perform up to the standard I pay monthly for. The service worker who picked up my claim was great and very professional with this work.

Updated on 06/01/2022: I scheduled a dishwasher repair on May 22 with a repair to be done on June 2. I wrote a review on May 26 complaining about the delay of the technician being more than 10 days. Today June 1, I received a call rescheduling the service to June 9. This is completely unacceptable!
Original Review: Setting an appointment was very easy! The time of the request for service and the service repairman scheduled repair is between 10 day and two weeks! I understand that this issue is not an emergency, however this amount of time is unacceptable!

I am very disappointed in this company. My AC unit went out a few weeks ago. I called to set up a claim on 5/8/22. The technician was able to come out on 5/18/22 and 5/19/22 to completely install the units and ensure everything was working properly. Between 5/20/22 and early morning of 5/21/22 my AC goes out again. The technician was able to come Saturday morning and informed me that the Coil was defective. Pictures and video were taken and sent to Choice Home Warranty on Saturday 5/21/22 showing how there was leak from the coil. I called to speak with someone in claims on 5/23/22 and the representative told me they had everything they needed (the pictures from the technician) and the part should be in the following day.
I called on 5/24/22 to confirm if the part had came in, this representative then tells me they need the pictures of the defective coil. They contacted the technician and the technician sends the pictures again for the second time. I called on 5/25/22 to make sure everything has been received and nothing else is needed and I’m told they received the pictures and it will take 1-5 business days for the service department to approve the defective coil that was provided. At this point I’m a little frustrated so I request the information to the corporate office to file a complaint. I was told there is no number or email. I ask to speak to a manager, I was told there is no manager available. I then reached out to the person I renewed my policy with and she was able to provide me with an email address to send my complaint to.
I called again today on 5/26/22 and now I’m being told the service department is still waiting on approval again for a defective coil that was provided and they need the serial numbers of the defective coil from the technician. This whole experience has been the worst. The customer service is horrible, the representatives are very dismissive, and the information changes each time I call and speak to someone. The technician has also spoken to Choice Home Warranty representatives and they too have the same complaints. The technicians are great however, I cannot say the same about Choice Home Warranty and the representatives they have working for them. If I could give negative stars I would.
The fact that I am still waiting for a part to be replaced that was defective is ridiculous. I live in Texas where temperatures are already reaching 100 degrees. Me and my children have asthma and this is UNACCEPTABLE. The only time the representatives act as if they care is when they want to sign up for the service. Once they get your money, all of that goes out the window. Very dissatisfied with the company and the service I have received so far.

Totally dissatisfied. Offered to pay approx. 1/3 of the cost of a new stove. Would not offer to repair or replace. When I ask to speak to the supervisor, he told me that there was no one else that I could talk to. If I didn't accept his offer the claim would be kept open for 30 days and then closed. First time having to use my warranty and it went quite smoothly. Placed claim and received call for schedule within a matter of minutes. Then tech was here within 30 minutes. From start to finish it was less than 2 hours after claim placed.

Would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty, as I have needed them in the past and they are always there for me. This past winter they replaced my water heater and expansion tank. I don't have good experiences with Choice for the last 3 years. Either they have limitations on technicians they worked for them or the Technician gives you an estimate which won't be covered by Choice and then we checked with different technicians, you found that Choice technician gives you fake estimate/resolution to the issue and making money. They quoted me $441 and declined by Choice to cover and the same issue I repaired for just in $125 and covered under the home warranty plan. They assigned a Technician who will provide a service only after a minimum of 7-8 days which indicates that they don't have a technician and you have to wait with no other options.
Technicians they assigned were either overbooked and then difficult to connect with them. Also, if you used your technician and raise the claim, they took a minimum of 3 months and you have to follow up multiple times and keep asking you to talk to this person or the next person. I would change this provider for the main reason that they don't have ample technicians working for them. Do not update the credit card information on your profile. Even you opted not for auto renewal your policy you can see the charge on your credit card. I will anyway I had decided to sue them in the court for charging on credit card even not opted for auto Renewal of the policy. They also stole your credit card information and making charges as they feel so stay away from this. They offered cheaper options but quality of the service they offered to the customer is worst.

Since we had very average and often frustrating service experience with CHW we weren't going to renew our warranty (although we were bombarded with calls and emails to do so). But, our home is 20+ years old so we decided to give CHW another chance. I renewed exactly one week ago and never received any confirmation whatsoever even though my credit card was charged that very day. No email, no phone call, no text. I find it ironic that they hounded me for weeks to renew and when I finally did I've heard nothing from them. I don't even know if our policy number stayed the same.

Told Choice would repair or replace appliances. They did NOT replace. They offered HALF the replacement cost. No negotiations, just flat out denial. Bad company nothing good to say about them. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR SALES PITCH PEOPLE! They will lie to get your business then apologize and deny!

The ground wire within the water heater malfunctioned and burned. Somehow CHW interpreted the technician's diagnosis to mean the ground wire from my home was installed wrong. Therefore CHW did not cover the replacement of my WH. Obviously I had to replace the WH. Now I have to dispute CHW decision. Hopefully the receipt that explains the issue in detail will be enough to get me reimbursed.

I have had Choice Home Warranty for well over 10 years. I switched to them from another company and have never regretted it. Whenever I have had a claim, I've received fast, competent and courteous service. The contractor has always come when they said they would and they were always professional. Honestly had a rocky start with Choice and considered canceling/ending my service about 5 times, in the first month. I didn’t though, because of the one reason I got the service, in the first place….my a/c. I feared when purchasing my home in winter, that summer would come, and I’d be hot. My fears turned out to be reality. I do not know HVAC, and my indoor unit is suspended in the air. I feared thousands of dollars to repair/replace it. Thank God it only cost me $65 for the service fee. That coupled with 6 years of peace of mind, was/is well worth the $2400 I spent for the policy.
