I do not have a printer. I wanted a paper copy of my policy mailed to my house. I was told you could not mail me a copy. I feel this was very unfair. I hope you change your mind. The policy stated 26 pages. I feel it is very important to have a copy.

I am writing to express satisfaction with CHW, great customer service, and quick response to claims. I recently made claim for defective heating system, and received timely intervention. A new furnace was installed, though I covered part of the charges.

Choice Home Warranty sent a technician in a timely manner. After scheduling, technician called to see he could come earlier than scheduled. He arrive on time, verified the problem, received authorization to replace the opener and got to work removing old opener and installing new one. Great job Jeremy from 1# Garage Door LLC.

I am a new customer of CHW and I am highly recommending this company. I filed a couple of claims. The technician that was assigned for my repairs was Anthony's Appliances Repair. I was truly satisfied with his work ethic and professionalism. CHW is a company that is very dependable.

The phone operator had a poor attitude. She did the bare minimum without giving any advice on how to get the most for our money. She was annoying loud breathing into the mic and it seemed as if she was annoyed with me calling to get my house fixed.

Love that I have my own representative who I can contact without going through a myriad of phone calls and disconnections. I had a terrible experience with another company and decided to pursue a new warranty. I am so appreciative of the personalized experience. I am also liking the senior discount which won't raise my prices in six years and will bring down the service call to $65.00.

Received a call this morning from a representative of Choice home warranty. I had previously spoken with someone and today I was given a quote for services however the quote was a lot less than what the actual payment amount would have been. When I multiply the monthly payment by 12 months there was a discrepancy of more than $75. Tried three to four times to rectify this problem with home choice Representatives. Was placed on hold for several minutes during each call. Was unable to rectify this problem with choice home warranty therefore I have had to cancel my bank card in order to rectify this problem and cancel the contract. When homeowners are giving a quote it should be accurate, I felt as though the representative was just trying to make sale / meet a quota. Extremely disappointed with my interactions with home choice warranty. I felt as though I was just a number and not a potential customer / client.

Claim was picked up by Carlson Home Appliance within minutes after claim being submitted (submitted Thursday, 6/2/2022 at 6:17pm - Carlson accepted on 6/2/2022 at 6:20pm). The technician arrived on time on schedule repair date on Monday, 6/6/2022 and completed the repair in a timely manner. Jeff, the Technician was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I would highly recommend him in the future.

The dryer has not been fixed and the plumbing was refused. I paid for a 3 yr contract and it all has been a pop, do not know how you can be in the home warranty business. Will check on whom I can seek help with your company.

Customer service representative was straight to the point. Made the discounts known and explained the process. I was in/out and registered. They provided military discount and also provided the person that referred me with a free month. We all win!

I was extremely pleased with the technician, Row-Rays Heat and Air. They were professional, on time to each appointment, willing to work with a warranty company, and answered all of my questions. The reason I am giving a 1 star rating is because of Choice Home Warranty taking 15 hours to approve of the claim when they told me and the technician that it would take 10 minutes. Because of this wait, the AC could not be fixed for another 2 days. Also, the claim wasn't assigned a technician for weeks. I put the claim in on May 19th and the first appointment wasn't set until June 1st. In the meantime, the AC got much worse and eventually stopped working all together. Our household went almost a full week without any AC when the temperature outside was climbing into the 90's. Again, I am super pleased with Row-Ray's Heat and Air's service, they were awesome, but I am extremely displeased with Choice Home Warranty.

The company (All Brands) was timely and knew what they were doing 5 stars!! my only issue was the time to get the parts to complete the job. If they would have had the parts this would have been a 45 min visit.

Agent on the phone was very nice and polite. The technician that came out to complete the service was very nice and polite as well. He completed his task efficiently. I am waiting on other service technicians to arrive for other jobs. I forgot that I had this service and trying to use before it expires.

When my garage door opener broke, the repair company contacted me very quickly and got a service technician out to me the next day. He arrived at the earliest time in the scheduled window and was knowledgeable and had it fixed in no time.

Several claims have been denied for shoddy or incorrect installation from before we purchased our home. One was denied because it was prior to the start of our warranty. The AC last worked in November when it was turned off for the winter. Did not work when turned on in the spring, after warranty period started. Electric issue was denied because it’s in the wall due homeowner neglect. Um, I’ve since learned it is an outlet problem. I am unsatisfied with coverage. I will be shopping for another home warranty company, due to these issues.

The technician was knowledgeable and asked me certain questions, when I told him the unit was not blowing he immediately opened up the panel and started to check wires to see what was getting power and what wasn't. He found that the blower fan was not putting any amps out and narrowed the problem down to that, which made sense. The unit itself was working but was not blowing air.

Turned on central air first time this summer and it seemed to work. Then it got chilly again and turned it off. When I turned on air conditioner the second time it did not cool at all. In preparation for hot weather we called Choice Warranty to make service call.

It took him over two hours to work on a unit that was 20 years old and he did a great job. He replaced the motor and the old one was stuck in the unit and had to pry it out. He was extremely pleasant to deal with. His name was Cody and I would refer him to everyone.

I would recommend the tech, he was fast and did what was asked. I mistyped my request and had multiple running toilets and he was able to fix all 3 quickly. I am hoping that Choice Honors the additional costs for the other two toilets.

I had completed my request online but, it appears that I submitted it twice. The representative assured me my request was still on file. He only showed one request. He was very helpful. I didn’t wait requested a return call. My call was returned within a few minutes. Great customer service.

I am not pleased with the service that someone can tell me that my machine was broken before I purchase the warranty through you guys which that is not true. I’m not understanding how are you could tell me what went on in my home and you guys have never been in my home. I am very dissatisfied with the way everything has been handled.
I would like a second look at this to have my problem resolved as quick as possible because my machine just stopped working at the end of May. And right at the end of May I also called another business to come and look at it called Appliance Masters and they told me that the boat had broke in the machine and it will cost too much for me to fix out of pocket. I let them That I had a warranty and he told me to go ahead and call the warranty people. To see if he was in network in which he was not. But I would like all of this resolved if you guys want me to go on dealing with you and to tell other people about it to join right now. I am not satisfied..

Our air conditioner stop cooling. Made a claim that day. I was very impressed when my claim had an appointment date the next day. It was assigned to D&K and the technician was very professional and identified the problem and had the air conditioner working again. This was my first claim with Choice and it was 200 percent better than the Sears Home Warranty Plan that I previously had. It would have been a week or two before I would have had someone come out.

I called sometime between 1:30 and 2:00 pm to open a claim for garage door opener repair. I was given the option for a call back and left my number. I did not receive a call back by 6:00 pm so I called again. When the operator transferred me to the department, the scheduler kept asking me for dates that I could not give her because this has been an off and on problem for 6 months. After repeated times telling her I could not give a specific date, I told her to pick her own date.

Electrical was great. However, there was no electrical issue. I paid $85 for a non-existent problem. The motor on my disposal was dead and should have been replaced first visit. I need to discuss having a plumber come back out and complete the job I paid for.

I submitted a claim about a garage door that would not open. The company CHW referred it to pushed me off three days. Then re-routed to another vendor who pushed me off four days. It seems as if they do not understand that a car held captive inside the garage does not operate. I had to go to a private vendor to get the door repaired the same day.

The repair man sent to fix my refrigerator problem (frost collecting on the inside of the freezer door of my side by side) solved the problem by adjusting the gasket around the freezer door. He had a truck to soften the gasket which allowed it to fit more snugly into place. Problem resolved.

Filed claim to have air conditioner repaired on 05-23-22. No response. Called 05-31-22 and was told they couldn't find anyone in network to do work. Was told claim was expedited to Dispatch Dept. Today is 06-06-22 and I haven't heard from Choice. Will NOT recommend Choice to anyone else. I live in South Georgia and it is very hot here. Miserable with no air. Not what I am paying for.

My service to repair my air conditioner that was not working, was excellent. The serviceman, Steven, did a few test to find out what the problem was. He narrowed down the problem fairly quickly and fixed it. I am very happy with my service from Choice Warranty!

A couple weeks ago, the air conditioner in my master bedroom didn’t cool, when I made a claim online, someone came to check it, and it was found that the coil inside of AC was broken. When the technician told me that it would cost over $3200 to replace a coil, I thought it was a big expense. When I communicated with Choice a couple times, I was grateful that they agreed to only charge $50 for the uncovered part and replace a new coil for me. Thanks to Choice's good service and strong support, I think that’s why I recommend this company to others.

He always called to keep me update on his status. He had to come back and he came back the next day. Once he returned he ordered the parts right away and said he will keep me posted on the status of the parts. He explained why it might of failed and he gave me preventive tips which were appreciated.

As usual the cracked filter is not covered. Almost nothing is covered by the warranty. More things are not covered. Also it takes weeks for some to show up then say it’s not covered and you have to pay for it to get fixed anyway.

The Warranty Service is highly responsive and that is massively appreciated. When you have an AC issue, waiting a week or more isn’t acceptable at all. We had a bad experience with the first contractor and they reassigned us and that helped a lot as well.

I purchased a home in June of 2021. Choice Home Warranty (CHW) was selected for the home warranty by my realtor as a gift for the purchase. My policy went into effect in December. My ac was working fine in April into the middle of May. Then the AC stopped cooling and I placed a claim with CHW. They scheduled an appointment with a company they selected. The technician was very professional and performed an inspection of the unit. The technician stated the AC was low on refrigerant. After a thorough inspection, he couldn't determine where the leak was coming from and recommended that a stop leak be added and to recharge the units. The recommendation was forwarded to CHW.
A week goes by and another appointment was scheduled. CHW wanted the technician to perform a leak check and submit pictures of the bubbling at the leak. The technician performed the leak check and could not determine where the leak was coming from. He visibly inspected all the areas common for leaks and found no evidence of a leak. The technician stated that he would not be able to provide pictures and recommended the stop leak and recharge again. Now it's been two (2) weeks since the AC worked in the later part of May. He said he could perform the service of adding the stop leak and recharging the system and would submit to CHW. CHW denied the claim stating the AC had developed a leak prior to the warranty being purchased.
Although I have proof of when the residence was purchased of having the AC units serviced for routine maintenance and were in complete working order. The AC worked great during April of 2022 and didn't start having issue until the middle of May of 2022 and the warranty was in effect back in 2021 (6 months prior to the claim). The bill for the fix was approximately $1,130.00 which I paid out of pocket. Choice Home Warranty is complete waste of time and money. I am currently in the appeal process, but from the reviews I've read, I'm not very hopeful that CHW will honor the contract and fulfill their obligations to make this right. I would not recommend this company to anyone, what a waste of money and time. Do not purchase a home warranty through Choice Home Warranty.

If they can't, they make good on their promise for the replacement. For my toilet repair claim, it was handled very well and efficiently. CHW did a great job servicing my claim, the only issue I have is with the company they used to fix the problem they did a great job but their communication with customer terrible, getting an answer or just getting a text seemed forever. We had no kitchen sink for week, we dealt with that ok. When they got here to do the repair it took them only a short time like 20 minutes. I just felt like maybe they could have got here a little sooner.

Getting issues resolved has been challenging with some things but others it has been a smooth process. For example I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get my refrigerator fixed and it took 4months and a lot of stress and appts. However, things such as my garbage disposal and ceiling fan were easy process without any delays or issues.

It's not like they say on tv. You won't make emergency appointment time. My ac went out. It's 81 degree and almost 95 in my house! I have been with you a few years now. Never needed you till now. Never filed a claim now. I have an emergency and at least a 24 hour window.

The price was good reviews for the warranty. However, we made a mistake on the property address and could not edit. Sent an email. Awaiting response. There was no mechanism to correct the error other than email because it is a Sunday afternoon. This is a newly purchased home and the realtor suggested we purchase a warranty.

I filed my claim online. I did not hear from Choice Warranty for two days. When I called to check the status of my claim, I was told it had not been received. However, the staff at Choice took my information and filed the claim for me. Within 24 hours an appointment was scheduled. The technicians got to my house earlier than scheduled. They made the diagnosis. They went outside, and called Choice. Within minutes, Choice made the decision on my claim. I was pleased with their response.

My a/c went out 5/31. Every time I called & left a message; someone called back in a timely fashion. The only problem is that the a/c unit has to be shipped to my area. My claim was approved 6/3/22 and was told it will take 3-5 days to get here. I’m 65 years old & this is getting pretty rough to have to wait this long.

I had a total failure of my Home Air Conditioning System and as usual, it seems all breakdowns are before weekends which adds to the fix. Most Companies I've dealt with don't work on weekends so consider 2+ days to the wait time. I've found this Company has a 7 day 24 hr Policy and I love it so far.

In the beginning Choice has tough time finding a AC vendor. However, later a Vendor came in on time and it was a minor issue with the central air conditioner which was addressed immediately. According to my tenet So far unit is functioning well.

Great support. The agent was able to pull my file up fast. Assisted me with filing a repair claim. Within five minutes I did receive confirmation email. Fortunately, the appliance came back alive. Had to cancel the request. The cancelation went without a hitch. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and will recommend to anyone that is looking for home appliance warranty.

My air conditioner started leaking Tuesday night. By the next day Choice Home Warranty sent out a technician from Air City to diagnosis and fix the problem. The only thing I paid was a $65 service call fee and my daughters and I had a cool house again even though it was 95 degrees out. I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty and their choice of AC contractor Air City!

The few times I have had to place a work order. The team has been efficient. I was able to get service on or even before the scheduled service date. The process of placing with work order was easy. A phone call to the automated line and the work order was done in less than 10 minutes.

Sometimes, Choice sends vendors which are good and sometimes, they don't. The worst problem that I have with them is they don't understand the urgency of the customer. I can understand if there are no vendors but certain categories of issues, like the dripping of water leakage, which can cost a lot of money to homeowners, need to be taken very urgently. They need to try all possible ways to help customers. That way, I feel like I'm secure with what I paid for.
I had this claim where my fridge started leaking and water started going to my basement. They said they had sent my request to our vendor network and they will come back. It's just like they don't care about whatever is happening at my home. They have a process and they just follow that. If something is broken, I can wait. But if something is leaking, I need somebody right now. They should have ETA for that and they can charge more. In those situations, people would be willing to pay more.
Another thing is they don't have any consumer service. They have a sales team and they are very sweet. You will feel like these are the kinds of people I would like to have my service with. They said there's a 1-800 number where I can call, discuss my service and my issues, and get them resolved. But when this leaking issue happened to me, there was only one way to register the complaint and that is through the voice. But I'm not from an English-speaking country and their system didn't understand anything that I was trying to say. They need to be more upfront with the customer and say that there is only one good way for the customer to go through and that is to go online, go to their account, and register their service and explanation.
When somebody came to work on my fridge. I needed to call at least four times because the first vendor just stopped the water from leaking. I am thankful to him that he came from Toledo but he never came back to fix it properly. He never found the part. Also, he went to my basement and did some things and the other pipe started leaking. He said that he needed to change the switch, too. I mentioned this to Choice and they said that I need to pay another 65 as a separate request because they don't care if a vendor broke something. They said that it was between me and the vendor. But that vendor isn't answering the call. My fridge is still not working even though another vendor fixed it. And the other vendor said that they will not fix anything other than the fridge. I'm just waiting for the day when I can switch warranties.

Monthly price for warranty on your appliances is great. When something break within a day of a claim they let you give you a date and time and who coming out to fix it. And the service is reasonable to you pay to have someone come out to.

I had a good experience with this service call. The technician Michael was very nice and knowledgeable about my washer. This was the first call that I have made to Choice Warranty. The only negative is that they have to order parts. They won't be back until June 13. That would not be too good if my air conditioner goes out in 90+ weather in Florida.

The people who are hired to service the CHW customers are not professional in that they don't come on appointment dates set. They don't call the customers to reset a new time. They waste the customers' time in that we can't sit every day all day hoping they may show up. There needs to be some specific guidelines between CHW and those that are hired for service calls. On 3 occasions they didn't show up for different claims.

Filed a claim for my Bosch Stovetop and received a reply within less than 3 minutes advising me they would be turning it over to a technician and they would be contacting me to set up an appointment to look at my stove. Just waiting to see how long it takes to have a technician contact me. Hopefully this will be one day soon since only having one burner at a time is not a way to cook.

Whenever I call for service it's always some reason I.get turned down after they get my $85. The jobs are left half done because warranty turn it down. For strange reasons my jobs never get completed under warranty. I am not satisfied with this warranty program. I think it is a rip off. I would not refer anyone to get this it is not worth your money or time.

I called in my report on 5-13-2022, the repairman didn't come out until 5-26-2022. Why did it take so long? Do your company have any one in this area, will it take this long the next time? Every time I've called, Choice Home Warranty has taken care of whatever I had to take care of. The long-term contract is cheaper and I've got a fixed rate every time I make a call. They take care of me. Submitting a claim to them is easy. They have my phone number and they know who is calling. The contract is there. They say, “What's the problem?” I tell them the problem, and they put it together with somebody in my area, and I get a call from them and confirmation by email. So, it's really simple. Choice is dependable and reliable. I've been signing up with them for one year, three years, and now, five years. They offered it to me, so I took it.

I felt rushed! It seemed more like a scripted sales call instead of patiently going over the the coverages. I was also offered a big discount if I purchased the policy at that time, but then told I couldn't have the discount because my payment would be two days later. The rep absolutely knew that my payment would be two days later before offering the discount. Why offer something that was known prior to the offer that it wouldn't be applicable??? I told the rep that I would need a hard copy of my policy and have no confirmation of this request. I cannot properly read an electronic copy. In lieu of the above, I seriously considered canceling, and still feel that I should.

I joined Home Warranty in March 2022 and I had to put in a claim a few days ago due to my A/C. Within 30 minutes, I was approved to have it fixed. Granted, I have to cover the cost of materials that were not covered under the warranty which is over $500.00. Nevertheless, it saved me almost $3,000.00 that I didn't have to pay out of pocket. So I will not complain.

Placed service call for an appliance failure. Two days later received an email indicating it was assigned to local technician. Got an appointment for next week since all technicians are busy. Waiting for technician to do appliance inspection and provide repair estimates. Expected to done much sooner but these are tough times due to covid and labor shortages.

I submitted a claim for a leaking hot water tank, they said no because I was already denied repair for the expansion tank last month. However, I had already got that fixed and paid myself and the new leak is the hot water tank itself. I have cancelled my contract and I also filing a complaint with my state's attorney general's office, office of consumer affairs. The repair was clearly documented in the repair documentation, but I guess they couldn't understand English. I have already switched to a new company. What a terrible way to treat a 100% disabled veteran.

Unit is ready to stop working. Had an assessment done this morning and got quotes. A/C isn’t even up to code. Would need new blower motor, condensing fan motor, evaporator coil, new heat strips, etc. t22 refrigerant per pound. I have asthma and can’t be without a/c.

The AC guy came out, he was great. The problem was not my AC, it was the breaker for the AC. I let CHW know and they couldn't get anyone out for almost 2 weeks. I had found someone on my own because it was 100 degrees in my house and not liveable for me and my family. With that being said I was not able to get reimbursed because they didn't approve it 1st. So my family and I was suppose to miserable until I got the approval from them to get my AC fixed. I did what I had to do for my family. Because of that, I will not be getting reimbursed.

I had to pay $157.00 out of pocket and on top of everything I had to call 3 or 4 times wait for almost a month and half to get you guys to get someone out to my house to fix the garage door opener. Water heater began leaking, draining across garage floor creating a slip hazard. Leak worsening as week progressed. Use of CHW services significantly extended repair time (about 2 weeks) which would be unacceptable had this been a catastrophic malfunction. Maybe allowing reimbursement vs. "CHW process" should repairs be of immediate need?

The AC fan outside began screeching one evening. It sounded horrible. I got some WD40 and sprayed the fan. I waited to see if it the noise would stop. It did, then it started up again. I turned the air down so it would not run as much and called Choice. It was extremely hot out and even though it was not making any noise, it had, and that was not something it was supposed to do. I did not want to go without heat in the AZ summer.
The service tech was out within a couple days. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He understood the issue and ran a lot of tests. Turns out nothing major was wrong. He said there was a slight difference in amperage between the two fans. One may have been running hotter and made the noise. The WD40 I sprayed on it may have just given it a longer life. However, the tech explained that if something did happen to the AC fan(s) in the future, I had already paid my copay. That is a beautiful thing to hear!

Many times when calling for a claim I like to be assured that the problem is covered. When the technician comes for any problem tells me after checking the problem that it is not covered I get very upset not for paying $45:00 but for being told the problem is covered when I initially called. CHW Technician: COS e-Bros LLC - Colorado have been great so far! They actually called the day before arrival to pre-diagnose the problem so they could order the parts quicker. They have also followed up multiple times to see about earlier return visit appointments to install the parts.

I am fully satisfied. Appreciate the professionalism of the Technician and his determination to succeed. The job was tricky. But he did the needful going to home depot to look for the needed part and trying hard to make sure the new part worked. The technician was cool and unfrustrated in spite of challenges.

I made an appointment for a tech to come out and take care of removing my filter and replace it with a new one. 11-3 was the window. It’s now 4:45 pm and still no one. If this is the service that I will get I will find another company and move on. This is a joke!

I call day before yesterday to have my a c repaired. They came out today and checked it out and found the trouble. Emailed you guy. Y'all authorized then fix it so he came back out and repair it the same day. Thanks for being so prompt to have it fixed cause when I get too hot I have a hard time breathing.

I scheduled the service order for Thursday and the service tech arrived on time and completed the work order in minimal amount of time. He was fast, very nice and friendly. Would recommend this warranty company to family and friends.

It took longer than 10 days to get a provider to my house. There were other providers in my area but were not in the Choice network. It was over 90 degrees the first 4 days. There should be providers in my area to assist with things that may go wrong with my house or property.

Choice has done a better job getting me service people than the former warranty company I was with. This is a rental property and I am relieved I do not have to be there for the technicians to come and do their work. We stay on the phone with them and that is all good.

The job was accomplished quickly and professionally. I especially enjoyed the technician's politeness. I am very new to the Choice Home experience, however, my home Air Conditioner was not putting out cool air; in the process I made a request for service that was immediately responded to by the Choice company and my problem is remedy.

May 21: First hot day of the season. My AC is unresponsive. Filed claim with Choice Home Warranty. May 24: Choice assigns third party "Ken’s Heating & Cooling" for the repairs. Ken arrived and diagnosed a leak in my AC evaporator coil. He said he would have to get approval from Choice, before scheduling a second appointment for the repair. Shortly thereafter, I called Choice. Their rep said they had already spoken with Ken and that the repair was approved. I was told Ken would call to schedule the repair within 24 hrs. That call never came. May 26: Two days later, upon not hearing back from Ken, I called his office (I say “office”, my calls were always answered with the simple “hello…”). Ken informed me he was waiting on Choice to call him with an authorization, which could take several days.
May 27: I posted a notice on my Choice claim update page that my AC was sill down and that no one had contacted me to schedule a repair. Choice responded online with the generic: “We apologize for any inconvenience... We will follow up with the vendor... Thank you for being a valued customer…” May 30: I check in with my Choice Claim Updates page and see that they have posted: “your Air Conditioning has been approved for repair.” I called Ken and advised him that the repair was authorized. He then scheduled a repair for the following morning between 7a and 11a.
May 31: Ken did not show for the repair, or call. Around noon, I called him and inquired. He said he was very busy that day and would have to call back to re-schedule. That call, once again, never came. I posted a claim update on Choice’s site indicating the no-show. I was now 10 days since my claim, with no AC. I asked again for Choice to schedule my repair, and added: “and please do not schedule Ken’s Heating & Cooling for any future repairs”.
June 1: Not hearing anything back by afternoon I called Choice again and this time waited in the queue for 35 minutes, all the while enjoying a pre-recorded message as to what a valued customer I was, which repeated about every 60 seconds. After 35 minutes of this, someone named Angel answered. After recounting my experience, Angel told me in an unempathetic tone, that since I had requested a new technician, my claim process would be starting over, as of this call, and I could expect to hear back in another 24 hours. As a new vendor would be involved, I would be expected to pay another service fee (for the same claim).
Angel would not give me the direct dial number to the Resolutions dept, but transferred me to a Resolutions dept. manager. A man answered and gave his name, which I didn't catch. I asked him to repeat it and was then disconnected. No one bothered to call me back. I then wrote the following on their claim updates page: “It is 91 degrees F. as I write this, and I'm out of patience. I need Choice to take my customer service as seriously as they take my monthly payments. Please expedite my repair with a new and competent technician with a business ethic...”
June 2: It has now been 12 days with no AC––12 days since my claim to Choice Home Warranty, and I am no closer to my repair. It seems to be the policy of Choice Home Warranty to enlist unreliable (and no doubt cheap) service vendors, while compensating by requiring the customer to either continue to endure that vendor ad infinitum, or pay another service fee for a replacement, and then have the claim process clock reset.
This is actually my third deeply frustrating claim with Choice, and sadly not my worst. On one earlier claim I had a flooded basement and was on the phone with a string of their customer service reps for over four hours, during which I was repeatedly disconnected. I write this so that you may be wiser than me, and avoid a company that I should have walked away from long ago. Caveat emptor.

At this point, Choice has denied coverage on two claims, One for HVAC and One for plumbing leak. The contractors did indeed, at my additional cost, repair the problems. 5 stars for them. In my opinion a referral service like Angie's List would have been just as beneficial as Choice, at a much more affordable rate. But, the home warranty was required for a new to me, home purchase. I choose the Silver program from Choice, maybe the higher cost coverages will be considered in the future. Choice gets 2 stars

I purchased this because I bought an older home. I feel ripped off from my $600 and the $65 fee for claims. Both my claims have been denied. I need a thermostat for my failing refrigerator and they denied it. They denied replacement of a new ceiling fan. They are absolutely fraud and need to be shut down for stealing money.

I had an issue with my AC in April and it was taken care of. I scheduled my regular maintenance required by my Homeowners Assoc. And when they came they stated that they thought I had a Freon leak and it would cost $275 to repair. I told them I had a home warranty and that they would have to repair it. So the AC maintenance Co left. Choice sent another repair tech out who said there was no leak. But, I still don't have a record of a maintenance done on my AC for my Assoc.

I have been paying my monthly premiums for two years and recently had to make my first claims. I paid $85 for service call. I was in SHOCK when Choice Warranty told me my appliances needed to be REPLACED and it would be replaced "at our cost - what it would cost us to replace it, not what I can replace it (that would be retail). The contract states replacement with "similar product which may or may not reflect RETAIL". The replacement they gave me was a little over $400 THEIR COST to REPLACE my fridge/freezer and a little over $500 to replace my 24" DOUBLE WALL OVEN. Nowhere in the contract does it state that "their/our cost" would be a mere fraction of a fair replacement today. I didn't expect current retail but I did expect them to replace it, literally! Not take 30 days to mail me a written check for what they could replace my fridge & wall oven for a mere fraction for Both.
I told them then they purchase it at their cost and send me the appliances or tell me where I can have them delivered at "their cost". No they have 30 days to send a check. No Fridge/Freezer and Double Wall Oven - who can wait 30 Days? This company is a Rip Off and not quick response as Consumer Affairs is rating it. Investigate contracts prior to recommending Choice Home Warranty like I did two years ago. Buyer Beware.

I emailed Choice warranty to submit a claim on June 1st. I received an email on the morning of the 2nd informing me I had an appointment between 7:45-11:00. After canceling other appointments because this is an urgent matter I waited. No one reached out to confirm app. I decided to call company that was scheduled to come out. They informed me they rejected this job because of distance to part house but no one felt it was important enough to contact me and let me know this was canceled. Very dissatisfied with communication skills and professionalism.

Choice Warranty is a joke, my first claim, a shattered oven door, was not covered because it's not 'normal wear and tear.' I've only been with them for 2 months and paid for the year in full. I was advised I wouldn't even receive half of what I paid, if I cancel. I also referred someone to the company. Their washer couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced. Choice offers $300 less than what it takes to replace the appliance AND it takes up to 45 days to receive the check.

My first experience filing a claim was good. It was easy to filie the claim online, the service technician responded promptly, and the issue was addressed satisfactorily. Compared to two other home warranty companies I have used for my rental properties, Choice is by far the best. The Plumber was on time, professional, and friendly. He fixed the faucet quickly and showed me exactly what the issue was and how he resolved it. I appreciated the quick response because the issue required I shut the water off to my entire home.

When requesting claims the claims representative said we can't request 2 appliances with same technician on 1 visit. However, when technician arrived at my place he had 2 other Choice appliances visit with more than 1 appliance calls. Also, I have referred my neighbor and has 3 house policies with Choice and have not seen the referral discount applied to my account.

As a property management company we have many home warranties and deal with at least 3 of the companies that advertise what GREAT service they provide. BUT Choice REALLY DOES PROVIDE GREAT SERVICE! Called over having no hot water and noises coming from the water heater. Due to it being a holiday they could not get anybody out here right away. The following Wednesday they had somebody out here first thing in the morning. They replaced it that afternoon with no problems. The technician was phenomenal, kind, courteous. Just couldn't have asked for a better technician. Very pleased.

I had air conditioner serviced 1 month ago. 32 days later it broke down again. Called Choice. Agent said he would try and get authorization to reopen because it was closed after initial 30 day period. He came back to the call a few minutes later with an approval. I received confirmation email. However after several days of no contact, I called back and was told it was not reopened and I would have to pay another fee to open a new case. Agent refused to listen to me or honor the agreement. Also Choice never bother to contact me to inform me that there was a change in their decision to reopen my case. Not a good way to treat your customers.

My AC died suddenly on a Friday morning, so you can imagine my panic since it was the start of Memorial Day Weekend. Thankfully, I have Choice Home Warranty and called to start a claim. I was told it could take up to 24 hrs for a Company to accept the job and respond to me, but about 4 hrs later I got a call from a Company I had not heard of before and the Gentleman said he was on his way. I was pleasantly surprised and even more so that he was able to fix my AC without any major problems. Quintin ** with Bee Sure Cooling and Heating was the tech who did a tremendous job.

I called when I hadn't heard from them and the representative checked to make sure it was not in the system and she said she would be happy to help me file the claim which she did. I sent in a claim back at the beginning of April when my air conditioner went out. The tech had to get a part and I had to wait over the weekend. So I had a strenuous weekend because it was getting really hot here at that time. But in four days, the job was complete. He fixed it and he was very cordial. I've had home warranties before and it was costing me a fortune. But with Choice, I was able to pay my warranty off for the next three years and I got a really good deal on my warranty service. I'm 100% very, very happy.

This company is really good at selling the plan, they want you to get 2-3 years all at once but the moment you signed up, they will start treating you like trash. All the phone numbers on their website are mostly scams, if you try calling them, the numbers are not in service. They force you to write a claim online and basically avoid interactions or hearing you out. I have had the water heater broken for almost a month and they still haven't been able to fix it. It seems they only hire unprofessional technicians and tell you a web of the lies week after week.
They straight up tell you on the phone that they really do not care for their customers. If you ever get hold of them on phone, they will make some kind of lies to get you off the phone. The whole month of May, I have been dealing with them and have had the worst experience of customer service in my life. At one point, they said it's normal for them to negotiate for 2-3 weeks regarding the price of the parts with the technicians. I have had other home warranty companies take care of things in 2-3 days but for these people 20-30 days seems normal and still show no sign of fixing it.
Day 30 and still no hot water and they are still making all kinds of excuses. I have asked multiple times to even change the technicians that are professional or actually show up to the appointment but they refuse. These technicians have missed appointments 3 times, yelled at me on the phone for asking questions, and asked why they don't show up. And when I tell choice about this, they simply don't care. I don't know how long I have to deal with them but this will be the last time I am hiring this company.
