    Jay from J.S. Plumbing...walked into the kitchen...and had it working in less than 20 minutes and he gave me some helpful hints if it were to happen again.     If I could have rated any lower, I certainly would have. First off, the technician you finally got out here corrected the problem in a couple of hours. Getting him out here was the problem. It took you over 2 weeks to get someone out here or to even contact me. Your first 2 companies canceled calls, never phoned me and never showed up. After the first call Your phone people rescheduled an appointment 9 days out. This was a refrigerator cooling problem with the loss of some food. Thankfully I had an old fridge in my laundry room which got most of the food and my medicine, which has to be refrigerated, was ok. I even had one of your phone people hang up on me because I wanted to talk to a supervisor and he refused and finally hung up. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I'm almost 74 years old. Bet you don't post this.

    I have noticed with Choice Warranty that I end up paying a service fee twice for a service that should have been fixed by the first requested technician. Is it Choice's culture to have customers paying out of pocket $65 service fees for services over and over again for the same issue? This is what just happened with my air conditioning repair. I would like a $65 refund if possible. I feel that Choice should look more into what’s going on with these type scenarios. I’ve had techs just come do the bare minimum, take my money and the issue is never resolved or breaks again within a couple weeks. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

    Why would I refer anyone to a warranty company that takes your money over and over again for the same issues that should be repaired with the first tech. Do you think that’s value to a customer? I’d love to hear back from someone on this…. At this point I’m not a happy customer and I’m definitely thinking of looking into other warranty companies.

    This was a terrible experience with Choice. First with the appointment that the repair person was not notified of the appointment. Then when I called it took days for them to actually show up. Then when Choice received the estimate and decided to REPLACE, CHOICE would not do so. CHOICE offered half of the replacement value and I know this because my clothes washer is still being made. This is totally unacceptable. Your contract is quite deceptive and I am going to find another home warranty company that actually does what their contract says. In every way this was a terrible experience in all the steps along the way.

    The poor man came to my house unannounced and got an ear full. NOBODY reached out to me to schedule any appointment. I am ONLY staying with the company because of the repair man, Jeremy. I AM UNHAPPY WITH THE COMPANY'S way of doing things because he had a confirmation of between 7am and 11am to come to fix my dryer. Nobody called me, no email, no robocall, NOTHING!     THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER. My AC compressor went out and they said they would not fix it because it was due to a ground fault. Well genius. The ground fault was because the compressor went out. That is a fail safe process. They said it was not due to wear and tear. Well the technician said on the report it was from wear and tear. I asked them for the report and they said it had proprietary information. So let me get this straight…. I can’t have a copy of the report for MY AC at MY house for a warranty I am paying for. DO NOT USE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY. They will provide the report when it is subpoenaed. Please take my advice and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    During a heat wave, both of our home air conditioners stopped working. One completely stopped (capacitor) and the other worked but leaked. Local HVAC companies that worked with CHW were booked solid. Thankfully CHW recognized the shortage of help, and we were invited to use the reimbursement option, wherein we found our own repair company (40 miles away), and they fixed our units.     Yes I thank you for approving my repairs for my ac unit. The only thing that I ask is that if you are going to approve repairs for however much please allow us to use the credit toward getting a new appliance if appliance diagnosis is appliance or unit needs to be replace by your chosen repair person. Not only will this help the customer be active in the cost and make the customer happy if they have this choice. A bandaid for an appliance repair does not help. It only ends up costing the customer/consumer more money. This is not good customer service or practice for customers who pay their warranty cost yearly. Not every consumer is dishonest. Please consider looking at every customer as a person and not a policy. This applies to this situation only. Also please make sure you go over every policy with the customer. I could have helped myself even more just by paying 80 dollars more for the year.

    I bought the warranty to cover wear and tear and constantly get excuses of why it can’t be repaired. From plumbing and AC being the two recent ones. Never had these problems with American Home Shield. Haven’t had any good experiences with Choice Home Warranty. Will def not renewing. Costing me more money than having it fixed by paying the deductible and nothing getting fixed. Here is a pic of my duct that separated due to a mounting bracket failing and the weight of the duct slowly separating that I was denied. But they’re telling me it was from abuse and denied me.

    Tech from Sears came out to analyze the problem I was having with my washer. Tech didn't have the part, but informed that he ordered the part and it would be delivered to my home. When the part for the washer arrived I got in contact with sears to send a tech to repair my washer. Sears informed me that I needed to contact Choice Home so they can make the appointment for the tech to return to my home to complete the repair. In the process of us waiting a long period of time, we decided to dispose of the washer and its part, and bought a brand new washer.

    Tech called the next day to come to our home to do the repair and I told him that he didn't need to come because the washer and its part were discarded. While I was talking to the rep for choice home and I expressed my disappointment and frustration and since we did not go through the proper protocol there wasn't anything that choice could do.     I purchased home warranty for 3 properties. Sales representative failed to send me an email as he promised, which raised my concern. The email should include terms, length of policy, policy number, policy premium, and charges for every service call, contact information, etc. Therefore, I decided to call to cancel the policy.     Updated on 07/06/2022: Very poor service in regard to the last year or more. Never had such poor and unconcern service rendered until my limited roof coverage was delayed and my interior CEILING became damaged. Choice put all emphasis on the optional coverage I added the Limited Roof Leak which took almost before they sent a tech to repair. The sad part is under my Coverage Details I had total coverage for my CEILING. Choice refused to acknowledge the CEILING and kept going back and forth about the roof. If the Roof have a leak and it is not repaired in a timely period; then, the CEILING beneath the roof is going to weaken and eventually become damage. Of course, I have water spots on my furniture (my sofa) beneath the CEILING. I never heard of anything so unreasonable, CHOICE put all emphasis on limited roof coverage and arguably disregarded the total plan coverage for my CEILING.

    They hired a tech for the roof which made me uncomfortable and very non-compliance in communicating to CHOICE and myself as the customer but he did get the minor roof repaired; however, he measured the CEILING damages and I thought he was going to complete the CEILING repairs, but it never happens. I am very disappointed with CHOICE and my CEILING is not repaired although my total plan coverage includes the CEILING. I just cannot believe this, I have uploaded images of the CEILING AND ITS DAMAGES plus images of my coverage details from my initial beginning with them (CHOICE) on 2/26/18 and I am still with them in 2022 but they refused to do anything with my CEILING.

    This is images directly from CHOICE HOME WARRANTY, located at 1090 King George post Road; Edison, NJ 08837 addressed to me: Vera **. It read at the bottom in Bold Orange: Your Home Warranty Contract is Enclosed and all details of my coverage follow on the inside sheets. I have used the toll-free number TO NO AVAIL;888-531-5403 and the website: www.choicehomewarranty.com to no success regarding my CEILING. The Case Manager acted as if I was ignorant and treated me horrible when my case was assigned to him. YES, TO SUM IT ALL UP, THEY NEED TO REEVALUATE THEIR SERVICES, this is a breach of contract.

    Original: I have a home warranty contract with them that stated I had total coverage for the ceiling of my home and limited roof coverage. I contacted them about both the roof and ceiling. They waited a year before a tech came out to complete the roof. As a result the ceiling ended up weakening from the rain and roof damage. They finally sent a tech on 4/14/22 and he repaired the roof by 4/22/22. He measured the ceiling for repair and they failed to comply. They sent another tech out also and the tech acknowledged the roof was damage due to weather but I only had limited roof; therefore, I guess they would do nothing or compensate. However, the tech acknowledge the fact of the damage ceiling but Choice would not comply or compensate. They kept talking about the roof.

    I read them my contract which included my ceiling and sent them images of my ceiling. Plus, I sent them a picture/image of my contract acknowledging my ceiling coverage was not limited but had total coverage. They have not responded and my ceiling has collapse. In the meantime, because their monthly payment is on ABD they are taking the funds out as usual but I am not getting any coverage or service satisfaction for my damages to my home. I addressed them more than once about the problem and emailed them per their request. I uploaded images of the ceiling like they requested and they have not responded. My ceiling need repair or I need to be compensated for the damages. If they would not have taken so long to repair that roof my ceiling would not have weaken and eventually fell.

    This has been going on about my ceiling and roof since 2021. The roof was just repaired 4/22/22 but the ceiling is still not repaired and it is 06/17/22; however, my bank statement reveal they took a payment from me 6/22. Plus, since all this started they went up $10.00 or more on my monthly payment but my contractual agreement have not been honored for repair to my ceiling (interior) at all.

    Out of the 3 home warranty companies, Choice had the best pricing. However, with "best pricing" comes worst service. My most recent claim was for an over-the-range microwave that needed replacing. Long story brief, they short-changed me about $150 on the replacement value and said I had to file an appeal if I disagreed with this amount. The proposed settlement was to take place on a Lowe's gift card in lieu of cash reimbursement. I responded to the quoted settlement with Lowe's LEAST EXPENSIVE microwave, prompting their "you've gotta appeal" reply. HUH??? I thought a home warranty company was supposed to replace or reimburse for comparable product. Instead, they dismiss me with a portion of what it's going to cost to replace.     My air went out for 2 days during the current heat wave. I filed a claim with CHW. Within 24 hours I received a appointment with WEWASQUEZ Services. I have never heard of this company. My appointment wasn't until the 20th. I called Neftali **. I told him of my health conditions and he said he couldn't promise but he would do his best to come out later on in the evening which was the 15th. I was extremely impressed with Neftali **. Says unit needs to be replaced and now you are claiming the policy is cancelled EVEN THOUGH your resolution manager & I came to an agreement on 6/9… And the service tech received the email for the job on 6/15 to come out on 6/16… I called you guys that morning to confirm they were supposed to come out.     Made a claim on last Friday. Monday morning I receive e-mail that Fuse Appliance would be at our home between 3pm-8pm that day. At 7:45pm I called phone number listed on e-mail. Tech acted like he didn't know who I was and spoke with a heavy accent and could not understand what he was telling me. Tuesday morning I called Choice and the CS agent called the company while I was on phone and said that it was determined that it was not covered. I asked "how" since they had not come to our house. CS agent said that a rep from Fuse would be calling me within a few minute of our conversation, which he did. He explained why they didn't come and how it was determined.

    I do believe that an ice maker should be covered under the policy being part of the refrigerator. Fuse told me if I had them repair ice maker it would cost between $200 - $400 which is way too costly. Fuse just needed to be more responsible in the way they handled the call and should have called me when they were not coming and told me why the claim was denied. Choice has been good at repairing other problems we have had. Have never understood why companies in our area could not be a participant in your service. As they say... always room for improvement.

    With my policy that I got with Choice, it was to cover pre-existing conditions and it was several things that were already discovered in the initial inspection were covered. When I did the inspection before I bought the place, for instance, the garbage disposal was broken, and then the techs came out and fixed it. It was great and I was super excited about it.

    My AC unit, there were several problems wrong with it. It was all listed in the report. We had already known about that. I had them come out and they inspected it. I gave the normal fee for them to come out here. They told me, "It's the fan relay. We're gonna order the part and we'll get back to you." But, I didn't hear anything. They told me it was gonna take a week. I let it go for a week. They came back and said, "We ordered the part, but we can't come out there and service it because you're not covered under your warranty. This is what you need to pay." I said, "No, because everything should be covered because it covers pre-existing conditions." They said, "You can fight it. You can appeal it." I did that.

    Again, another three weeks. I was on the phone with a representative from Choice who told me the same thing. "We can't do anything about it because it was already an existing condition." I said, "No, because this warranty covers everything pre-existing." The rep said, "You can fight it again." Okay, so I did that. Then, again, they denied me. Now, it's been almost a month throughout the process because they dragged it out and I am paying almost $10,000 for a new unit.

    The company that made the appointment for the first visit for the claim is 4 days from now. It is hot in here and my problem is I must wait 4 days just for them to assess the problem which I know. After that they then have to wait for authorization to do the work, more days with my family and I in this heat. I think it just needs freon. Too long for us to wait for something so needed.     The third-party company that was hired to come to our house was great, they were so understanding. But I am not satisfied with CHW. Our AC went out and our house was 90 degrees with two toddlers inside. We could not have waited a week to have it fixed, I had to call another company’s emergency line. CHW doesn’t have an emergency line so I was scheduled a week out. To me, this is unacceptable, especially in Arizona. There needs to be an emergency line for things like this.

    I'm not satisfied nor dissatisfied, but I called regarding my upstairs A/C starting to run louder than normal. Tech told me that I needed to add a relay because it was pulling too many amps on startup, but it isn't covered under warranty so it would be $350 out of pocket. I read his report and it now sounds like since I didn't buy it and the compressor fails it will be my fault. I did research and the noise and higher amps is just due to age telling me the compressor will go out at some point. I just don't like these constant upsells whenever they come out. When I had furnace trouble the guy told me I had to have all kinds of things done out of pocket. I got a second opinion and didn't need it... So I have trust issues with some of these techs. He was very nice and friendly.. but I'm just feel they are told to sell things that I really don't need and even if I do it.. it isn't going to prevent the inevitable compressor dying of age.
