Extremely polite. Kept me informed on what they found. Replaced thermostat with one that wasn't as upgraded as my previous one. I will contact Choice Home to get at least what I had prior. Would highly recommend them. Cleaned up after everything was done.

Mike ** was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. He checked the electrical system, changed the two switches that didn't work and fixed the light in the ceiling fan. Mike promptly submitted the claim for the ceiling fan with the light attached as he was unable to get the ceiling fan to work. He texted promptly to advise that another claim needed to be submitted for the ceiling fan. I spoke to Celia, a kind claims person, and she listed my request that Mike ** return to replace the ceiling fan as he is excellent and had already completed most of the work. Hopefully, CHW will honor the request.

Tech put in all new parts. Works now. Tech had to return twice but did get commode to running nicely. It takes longer than I’d prefer to refill tank with water, but that’s okay. Tech very clean, neat and eager to please.

Technician called to confirm appointment and was on time. Polite, knowledgeable, and found the problem right away. Instead of letting me wait for another appointment, went to pick up part and came back to fix it. Helped moved other items in utility room and even swept behind dryer.

Prompt and professional response to initial service request. Telephone representative was very helpful and honest by informing me that they're consolidating my multiple requests into 1 which saved me 3 times the cost I was prepared to pay. All repairmen arrived at the times provided and all were kind, detailed and professional. Top notch service. Definitely a cut above the rest.

Choice was quick to get someone scheduled to look at the fridge. The young man that came out was nice, clean, and knowledgeable. I don't know what he did, but the fridge hasn't made any noises since. Thumbs up to The Good Fix company.

I called multiple times, emailed as well, only got one call back after a couple of weeks, but because not getting the phone on time, received a message. I immediately called back and got the same message. The phone number that I was given from the customer service rep was incorrect. It took me to the wrong area of the business, so after waiting forever on hold, told I needed to call a different number???? I set up a time for a fifteen minute call back, then realized it was over a week later. When I did finally get the call (which was done late) the lady was not pleasant at all, was not willing to work with me. The amount for the replacement was not enough to even get a comparable microwave.
I have been with this company for over 7 years, I have recommended you others (who also purchased a plan from you) and have a friend who was asking about the service for her own home now. I told her to wait until I saw what happened with this issue. I understand that companies are struggling finding workers, but all I got was a lady with attitude. I asked for a manager or someone over her and she refused, saying there was no one over her?…My contract is ending soon and I will be looking elsewhere. I don’t have a problem if the contact spells out an outcome and I hadn’t read that. But, I felt like the lady was adding her own expectations into the contract, which were not there.

Tried twice to use the CHW policy. First time waited 10 days to repair HVAC issue. Cheap knock off part on back order was the excuse. I ordered the OEM part, arrived in 2 days, installed myself, issue resolved. Customer service was no help as they blame their network providers. Made a second HVAC claim months later. Waited 13 days and still have not had a diagnosis of the issue as the network providers never show up/ return calls. Customer service again keeps blaming the network providers after multiple calls. Called a professional, licensed, bonded and insured HVAC contractor, issue was resolved this afternoon. Cancelled the CHW contract 10 minutes later. Do yourself a favor, save your frustration, time and money AND HIRE A QUALIFIED PRO!

For now, everything has been okay. Just waiting for my order to be complete. Let's see how my service is when done. I'm waiting for an electrician to come fix some outlets in my house. What I don't like is the pressure for next renewal and I still have two months.

After exactly 30 days of no AC, there is hope thanks to Trandon. He was very thorough, courteous and willingly took extra pictures to justify his claim. He took his time submitting the claim. I recommend him.

I put in a couple of service requests and Choice handled it rapidly. There was one issue a couple months ago where we had to get somebody to come out for a second opinion and it was prevented because there was still a limited number of providers out there due to pandemic reasons. But aside from that, it's been a good service. I’ve had Choice for three years and I’m satisfied with them. The technicians have been excellent. I have peace of mind with Choice. My air conditioner had an issue last month and I didn't have them call a technician because I was worried about the cost. But they got it taken care of.

I really appreciate how fast CHW works. I put in a request for AC service on the website. I received an email that I would be assign a tech within a few hours. 3 hours later I receive an email that they would be coming out in 48 hours. They told me a time and I got a call the day they came and within an hour my AC was working. Was very happy...

Ed communicated properly and replaced the defects parts in the garage door openers. He initially did not have the parts, so he had to order them. I had to wait a few more weeks until the parts arrived. Once they came in, he let me know and came and replaced the defective parts. He also programmed the 2 remotes. He was a great guy and fixed my garage door problems.

The tech diagnosed the problem. Went to get the parts. Installed them, cleaned up. Collect the check, asked was anything else he needed to do. Everything was good and he left. Very professional, explained everything he was doing. Tested the water dispenser and checked the ice maker.

The part that the worker put in the light does not always work. Just a few minutes ago the light was dim for a long time. I turned it off and then turn it back on and it worked. There is something wrong with the part that the man put in the light. This part is called a BALLAST. He needs to come back and put in a better BALLAST.

Jared and his assistant from Swinson's Air Conditioning diagnosed and repaired our A/C unit very quickly. They came out on the same day I called, and they were very friendly and professional. Mr. ** was helpful and courteous on the phone, too. I'll definitely use them again when I need them.

All Star Appliance Repair & Sales arrived at my home almost immediately. The Technician tested the dryer, opened it up and diagnosed the problem very rapidly. He wasn't sure initially that he had the required part, but he did and then installed it. My dryer is working very well and quietly. I am very pleased with the service and hoping that if the need arises, I will be served again by All Star Appliance Repair & Sales.

You have me waiting up to a month or more for a new belt. I had shoulder operation so I can't open the door up and down making getting my car stuck in the garage. I'm sure you can look into other repair people to find the belt

Technician was very hard to understand and it wasn’t very easy to communicate because English was not his first language. Felt as if he wanted to do the least work as possible, and also tried to get us to pay for parts he used to replace! Never really troubleshooted the problem so still not fully fixed. The plumber didn’t show up on his scheduled day causing us to wait around for 5 hours. Never called nor texted. We had to contact choice to try to get in contact with them. Still not fixed correctly, now the lines in the wall are pushing hard on the drywall making a bulge in the drywall. Terrible experience.

I reached out to file a claim for a built-in Microhood that was malfunctioning. After 2 weeks, a repairman came and identified the issue and said a part would be needed. I waited another week or so to hear from the company that it could not be fixed and they would be glad to reimburse me less than $200 for a $350-400 appliance. I received an email/phone call while I was working last week from your rep identifying herself as the person that would be handling my issue. I could call her and would probably have to leave a voicemail if I wanted to discuss this matter or I could choose from one of the 3 days that she is available NEXT WEEK to make an appointment to speak to her. I called and left her a VM 3 days ago and have not heard anything since.

Choice was responsive to my problem and sent service out to explore the problem. It took three service persons to figure it out and throughout Choice was supportive until we finally got it fixed. I would recommend Choice to assure you have the peace of mind knowing your home is protected.

The pilot light went out on the water heater and it turned out the whole thing needed to be replaced. I called Choice Home Warranty and they sent somebody out. We paid the little assessment fee and then, a couple of days later, I got an email from whoever saying how much it was going to cost and when they were gonna come put the pilot light in. They showed up right on time, put it in and everything was done. My wife was home the whole time. They took care of it, and we have hot water now. I loved the process. It was great. The whole thing from when we put the claim in was probably a week and it took a little while because we had to reschedule the time at one point. But that's okay. I'm looking around for other stuff that's going wrong in my house so I can make more claims. It was easy and a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. It's totally worth it.

I am totally satisfied with the processing of my claim regarding my malfunctioning garage door and the overall service I received. Icemaker was not working. Choice Warranty replaced the old icemaker. It was found that we were needing an additional part. The water flow valve was ordered and we are waiting for it at this time. It is expected in within the next 10 days.

Vendor did not show up to my initial appointment and they never answered their phones. When technician did make it he was very good, courteous and knowledgeable. He gets a 5* but the way that the vendor communicates back (or lack of) needs improvement.

CHW provide efficient services, I am satisfied with their services. They are very punctual and take care customer's need. Sometimes Contractors are delayed and no response from the contractors, but CHW deals with these issues quickly and assign new contractor promptly. So CHW is very much focused for customer's urgency.

Pressure release valve on hot water heater failed causing leakage from the valve. The technician quickly diagnosed and repaired the issue. This is the second time this tech has been to our house for a repair via Choice Home Warranty. We have been very pleased with his work.

The person who came in declined to remove his shoes, neither did have any foot cover to cover his shoes. We have a 10 month old baby. When inspecting the problem, without turning the power switch on, he concluded that it's a electrical issue and started packing up. Then my wife needed to pitch in and help him turn on the switch. Finally he replaced the part, which I am happy. But the poor service is making us dissatisfied. Thank you.

My hot water heater stopped working and I called Choice Home Warranty. On the same day I called them, I received a call from a plumbing company. They came out the next day. On that day, CHW approved replacement of my hot water heater. Two days later it was replaced and I live on an island where getting any contractor is extremely difficult because I live on the #1 beach in the USA. I could not be happier with CHW and the plumber, who was professional, courteous and friendly. Thank you so much CHW for selecting this plumbing contractor for me. Although not a usual custom to tip contractors, we were so pleased with this contractor that we felt compelled to tip him.

Updated on 06/27/2022: I thought the $60 was going to be all that I had to pay, I was unprepared to pay any out of pocket money. My previous home maintenance service had covered all the fixes my AC had. As a senior citizen with minimal income this out of pocket took away from a few of my other needs. I’m devastated.
Original Review: I had a problem getting around the phone system. I need to set up an appointment to get my AC fixed but, none of the choices specified ‘to make a service appointment’. It was misleading when I heard the word ‘claim’... Claim to me is a demand for something owed or believed to be owed an insurance claim. When all I wanted was to set up an appointment for repairs.

Technician Robert was very professional, courteous and thorough, he diagnosed the problem and explained how to light the pilot should it go out again, and what the plan is if the problem persists. It was 100 degrees outside and the water heater is in the attic, he could of given me a rush job but he took photos so he could explain the situation and for future reference.

He was prompt, knowledgeable and resolved the problem quickly. He understood the problem about the air conditioner and analyzed what was going on and fixed the problem. Afterwards he explained what had happened and stated the problem is fixed and we should not have anymore problems.

Getting service is very hard. I call with plumbing, you all could not find an available technician. Had to get my own plumber. He would not go with the warranty. He said it was too much paperwork in time to get his money back. End up with too much money tied up in the system. Second time had a problem with the AC unit on Friday, temperature's well over 90, almost 100. Couldn’t get anyone. Sunday before technician call and he couldn’t come out until Tuesday, who’s gonna sit in the hot two-story house for five days?

Case manager had technician report from another “wrong” property. I spoke to Absolute plumbing and they said they did not snake the clog, but the case manager for this case said they did and the “blockage” was not covered. The Andolute technician said no snaking was done and his diagnosis was completely different. Case manager had results from a different contractor and different property location as the reason to deny my appeal on plumbing problem at **. I have some 7 multi year policies with Choice in PA and VA, and I am very disappointed at the lack of professionalism in the claim denial. This was a serious mistake of using the wrong report. From a different property in making a claim denial.

I have to say that this time my experience went very well. I filed a claim online on Monday and a technician was scheduled to come out by Wednesday the same week. The technician came in, assessed my problem with my a/c unit, determined what the problem was and said the part would have to be ordered once approved. He had approval from Choice by the following morning and and was out that evening to do the repair. By dinner time we had a repaired a/c unit.

Tech responded earlier than appointment date and diagnosed the problem. Unit was frozen up. Had to return at later date to add refrigerant after unit thawed. Unit seems to be working properly as of this date. Quick response time was greatly appreciated as elderly couple occupied condo.

My dishwasher went out and instead of fixing it, they said it would be better to get a new one. I was offered a Lowe's gift to get me a new one and I gladly accepted. It won’t cover the full cost of it but I’ll only have to add another 55.00 to get a brand new stainless steel dishwasher. Thank you.

I called Choice Home Warranty to get some information after reading everything on-line. I had made a decision to buy a year plan rather than monthly but I needed a few questions answered. The call was good & the representative answered my questions. Then 3 times he went into long explanations why I should sign up for a multi year plan. I explained many times this is not what I wanted. After that he was NOT pleasant! He ended up disconnecting the call without a thank you or goodbye.

Company claims there was a preexisting problem. I know the unit is old but it was working when I had purchased the policy. Throughout the past few years I had to have it serviced a few times. Was nothing serious, corrosion on connections.

CHW is a rip off. You have too much fine print, your account managers say one thing. I will not renew my contract. It is just as cheap for me to go ahead and buy whatever breaks instead of paying for a contract that has so many ways to get out of paying for repairs and replacing anything that breaks. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND CHW TO ANYONE. I am telling all my realtor friends not to use CHW for their clients.

Totally disappointed. First claim denied for ac repair. Was told it was a preexisting condition. Called technician. Asked if there was any evidence of a preexisting condition. Was told no, if I knew this is how your company does business I would have never started a policy with you, I will never recommend this company to anyone. I regret starting a policy with Choice Home Warranty.

My a/c was not cooling down and was running constantly at night. Jordan from Polar Bear A/C was communicative and came out to fix my a/c issue. Process with Choice worked as it should in this instance without any issue (unlike my prior plumbing claim when 2 different plumbing companies had 3 different technicians not show).

I called to report my broken microwave (built-in). I bought my policy in March, right after my husband died Feb. 24th. Knowing I needed someone to help with what he used to do for us. I guess, my microwave started going out 5 days before he died from cancer. Meaning you could not help me with my broken microwave because it was starting to break before I bought the policy. I know it is my fault, I understand, but.... Just to many heartaches to hear this news. It is barely working now in June, hence the reason I finally called. So, least to say, I am unhappy with this entire situation. The microwave is only 3 years old. This is why I have a 4 not a 5 star experience. No one understands heartache anymore, Rules are rules and this company does not break them.

Our technician was on time, with a mask during this continued pandemic, knowledgeable, polite, listened to us and answered our questions. He followed through with the repair until the problem was resolved. He even called after the repair to make sure the issue was fully resolved.

They're good until you have a real problem. They always handled the small problems (toilet won't flush, something like that) but when my AC started not working and I had to create 6 claims over it, they sent someone to put the band aid on it but when it finally died in the summer in Las Vegas, they told me o didn't perform proper maintenance (a lie) and they weren't going to cover replacing the unit. Choice is trash and they don't care about customers, only about making money and putting band aids on gaping wounds. Save your money.

I spoke with a tremendously warm, professional, compassionate and conscientious representative. She assisted with my additional property in which I had recently purchased coverage for. Forgive me that I have not mentioned her by name however I failed to gain correct spelling. She was wonderful and very helpful and is a great asset to your organization.

Young man’s name was KYLE ** that came and repaired our air conditioner. He gave us excellent service and was very helpful in answering any questions. I would highly recommend him. We had a little difficulty at first because they could not find one that would come in this area. Choice finally got one and he came and for his personal reasons he was not able to correct our problem. We were thankful that you finally found someone to come and fix our problem. Thank you again.

A couple of days ago I called CHW because my garage door opener was not working. CHW scheduled an appointment right away & Cody from ADS came & assessed the problem: I needed a new motor. He changed out my old garage door opener within an hour with a brand new motor/garage door opener. Thank you CHW for such great prompt service. I am a very happy customer!

I was looking for a home warranty to replace another company's disappointing warranty. I called Choice based on a friend's recommendation. My first call to Choice was very informative and based on my talk with Maurice (who was knowledgeable and helpful) I decided right then to sign up. Looking forward to moving my rental properties as they expire from the other company.

Tech said fan motor was out and needed replaced and it would take a couple hours to get approval. After 3 hrs I emailed CHW. They again said hrs. After 5 hrs I again emailed them. Again a couple hrs. Finally after 7 hrs got approval. That’s way too long for a simple fan motor on a 93 degree day. Not a good thing for CHW to do.

The technician from Angel AC that visited my home today is very unprofessional and lack human relations. Walked everywhere in my house with his shoe even though it is obvious that all shoes are left by the entrance. No simple courtesy at all from him. Left my entrance door & Addicks open & even slam the exit door while leaving. Not detail in his investigations, he was extremely in a rush & No technical know how on what he observed from the AC. Was just simply care about what can be reaped from customers. Do not care about what previous technician found. Do not even care to look at everything. He was extremely in a hurry to leave. I’m extremely disappointed in the service! If possible, I would have given a negative review.

I will say your HCW team was relentless pursuing my business. Emails and calls continued even when I stated I was away on business. A few of the calls repeated the in it ‘full’ cost after I had received your ‘lowest’ offer, which was a good offer. Those calls almost turned me away. I have had some bad experiences w/ other companies, I hope my decision to join HCW is worth it. Time will tell for me. Tony from Edison was good, friendly, professional, sold me ‘a deal’, up sold me to the 6 yr vet plan and got off the phone, he did good work. Looking forward to the confidence of having this warranty and good customer service in the future.

I am very happy, so far, at the way CHW has handled the reimbursement option as it take a lot less time than trying to get a tech through CHW. That way the customer can negotiate with the tech as opposed to CHW doing the negotiation.

I have been with Choice for years. This is the second time in years you have denied a claim for my AC. I rejoined CHW couple of years ago thinking a better outcome. I had to spend thousands of dollars to replace my Unit out of Pocket, Now I issues with my Air Handler. CHW has denied to cover anything. I have no air living in Alabama. I have to stay with family. Even with fans no relief. I am so disappointed.

Technician arrived when scheduled. He diagnosed the problem quickly, the water pump was not working, causing the wet switch to trip and not allowing the AC to come on. He replaced the water pump, checked both AC units. He explained the problem and fix.

This company has a policy that holds harmless their service contractors, so if one of them makes a mistake that causes another appliance not to work right, they make you pay for both service calls, not just one that you would have made if the first one had done the job correctly. I even sent a letter to the CEO and President to appeal my claim, but he didn't even bother to answer my letter or contact me. No wonder the executive board of this company is one of the lowest rated of all businesses in the USA. Terrible Policy!!!

Called late evening, filed a claim through automated system. Next morning I logged onto their site and was able to get appointment information regarding the company, they also provided the company info to contact if needed. It was easy to log on Choice Home warranty’s site to follow and get claim updates. Great experience! Would recommend to family & friends.

Downdraft kitchen vent needs repair. It is a kitchen appliance along with the cooktop but it was stated as not covered under the policy. This seems petty and not reasonable, since a kitchen vent is part of almost every kitchen to vent cooking air away from the stove area. At least the tech was able to diagnose the problem accurately enough so that I could know how to get it fixed myself.

First I had to appeal in getting my washing fix which started 4/29/22 and to this day 6/23/22 it's still not fixed, repair tech from Rayborn Midway Services and a repair from A&E Factory, on today date 6/23/22 A&E Factory suppose to come which that was supposed to came on 6/19/22. No show no call.

I am so pleased with the technician that came to fix my dishwasher. He called ahead and showed up on time for both the diagnosis appt and the repair appt, and the repair was done well and quickly. I know that seems like it should be normal, but I have had trouble with many appliance techs not being able to do this. So this tech was a breath of fresh air. Many thanks to him!

So far the only experience I’ve had with Choice Home Warranty is with the salesperson, Kurt, he worked with me to get a good policy for a good price. Very nice person to work with. Actually I got 5 contracts. I cannot speak about repair service as I haven’t had any yet. But with over 30 years with a different home warranty I am hoping my experience with Choice Home Warranty will be a lot better than I had in the past 5 years with the other company.

My first claim was over the phone. But once I found out that I can do a claim online, I've been doing everything online. Their website is very easy to maneuver. They give the name of the company that's gonna be coming. This last time, the company that was coming sent us a text link and the technician’s name. We haven't dealt with the same contractor each time that we call for service. But so far, our experience has been okay.
All contractors that came out were very nice and knowledgeable. They've given us a lot of information. The last contractor that came out was the best out of all. They were very friendly and great to talk to. So far, everything has been great with Choice. We definitely appreciate the service that they give to us. We look forward to renewing our contract when the time comes.

She went above and beyond to make sure that my wife and I were taken care of when a technician quit in the middle of the job leaving us without water. I have had Choice for over a year into a 3 year contract (bad idea). I have had 2 claims, both miserable and took forever to resolve, one 2 months and the other over 4 months. I will detail the most recent below but a couple of quick facts. If they determine to replace an appliance they will “estimate” a replacement cost. That cost, even after their other rules for “similar” features, is based on a wholesale price, not what you or I could go buy one for.
So in Feb out top of the line, yet old, LG washer died. Put in a ticket. It took about 2 weeks to get a tech out here. He said the motor was bad. Would need to be replaced. For a month Choice kept telling me they were waiting on further info from the technician, then finally said, “Your washer is under manufacturer's warranty.” Well it's not. It's 12 years old, in their defense LG only uses 1 year digit so a serial number for 2021 and 2011 look the same. After much discussion and a letter from LG stating it was not under warranty and they were guessing the wrong year I was told they approved the technician to order the part (Note that at this point they are willing to fix it). Weeks pass with the same response, “Waiting on part”.
After a month of contacting them at least weekly I am told the ticket was closed because it was over 30 days old and I would need to open a new one which includes paying another service fee. I requested mitigation per the contract and immediately got the response “we miscommunicated” we are assigning a new tech, which means the process starts over again. Another 2 week wait to get him out to look at the machine, same diagnosis. We are now over 4 months. They did not charge me another service fee though, which was good.
A week later I get notified they are choosing to replace the unit instead of repair it and offer $550 in replacement. Cheapest we could find anywhere near similar was $950. I did not immediately accept and chose to set up an appointment to discuss, fyi, don’t bother. The individual said they had reviewed and that yes $550 was max they would pay. If I did not accept the offer the ticket would close in 30 days (with no repair) at which point I could open another ticket. That ticket would be reviewed and noted that they had previously offered replace it and deny the new ticket. So in a nutshell, take what they offer or get nothing.

Before AV/Vedo came to my home other companies said I needed a new compressor. I talked at length to the owner of the co. the night before and he and I went over the alternatives available to me if in fact it was a bad compressor. The next morning a tech arrived at my home and started investigating the problem from the AC unit to the furnace to the thermostat. Found the problem to be a minor wiring problem. Co. is thorough, honest, reasonably priced and timely. Thank you for using this company!!

The plumber came during the earlier part of the 2-hour slot and diagnosed the problem. Then went to the home improvement store to buy the tools to stop one of the problems that I was having. As of now, I no longer hear my toilet running continuously throughout the day.

The representative who ultimately sold me the policy - Joseph - was helpful and courteous. No problem there. But I spoke twice before with your reps in recent days. I told both of them that I needed to buy a warranty as a condition of the (pending) sale of my house, but couldn't commit just yet due to some uncertainty over the date of settlement and other things. No sooner were the words out of my mouth than both of them HUNG UP on me, clearly because I couldn't make a purchase at that moment. Not "Sorry to hear that, please call when you're ready," or "I understand, we'll be here when you call back" - just CLICK! Terrible customer service, extremely rude.

As property manager, Had multiple properties signed up and paid full year up front but quickly found out CHW will try every means possible to not cover any item. That’s if you actually get a decent contractor in a decent time frame. First, they put the work order on a bidding process so only the crappiest of the contractors bid on it. i.e. the cheap and unprofessional contractor gets assigned. Who only comes to your house AFTER all their higher pay, non CHW work is done. Then the contractor is only interested in a quick payment of service fee because CHW doesn’t pay them enough to do a decent full job.
At the same time, CHW will assign a rep to each order whose job is to try to deny the claim as pre existing issue or my favorite… “this broke too soon after the contract started”. Do you think covered items break down depending on contract dates? Never again. I signed up with a bit more expensive warranty co but I get full coverage. Save your money and hassle, consumers. Stay away from CHW.

They told me Daylight Construction will be contacting me next day. No call from them. Call CHW for three days no help.

On June 6 Choice Warranty sent someone to fix my washer. The person informed Choice that my washer needed to be replaced. I’ve been waiting over two weeks to receive the voucher to get a new washer. There is no reason I should have to wait to get the voucher considering I pay the yearly Choice Warranty Fee in full every year with one payment. What if this was my refrigerator??? Would I have to wait weeks to get a new one? Very unhappy with the wait. I know for a fact Choice could easily send me the voucher so I can get my washer replaced. Maybe I’ll have to research another warranty service that pays in a timely manner.

Added and paid for a additional pool warranty. When a problem surfaced pool pump which provided circulation to the system and protects when the temperature drops to freeze conditions…. Choice said: "Let us find a vendor" and 4 days later no information so I had to find my own repair company. Then after calling and sending numerous photos and documents they denied my claim. Choice Home Warranty is a JOKE on their customers— stay away!!!!

We moved into our home 2 months ago and the seller purchased Choice Home Warranty prior to the closing. On a Saturday in June our air conditioner went out. I notified Choice and they had a very good HVAC company come to the house to evaluate the situation the following Tuesday. The recommendation was to replace the unit. That same day Choice notified me that the recommendation was approved. We are currently waiting on the next step. To this point I am very pleased with the customer service provided by Choice Home Warranty.

With the heating element just being replaced a few weeks ago and now just about every other major part, your decision not to replace the dishwasher baffles me. Our appointment was scheduled for Saturday and the tech arrived promptly but was unable to fix the microwave, he said he needed to order a part and he needed authorization to order it. This was unattainable because the office was closed on Saturday. Rescheduled for Monday between 8 and 12. A different tech arrived Monday at 3:50, took the oven apart and repaired it without a new part. He was apologetic for the delay.

I called CHW on 6/21 for service on my toilet. On the same day I was contacted by the tech to see if I was available, unfortunately I was not home. I was scheduled an appointment for the next day between 7am and 11am. I was impressed and amazed with the urgency they provided me. The technician was ringing my doorbell by 8am. He verified my name and address to make sure I was the customer in need of service. His professional and courteous service was amazing. He assured me I was getting new parts, he cleaned the area. All above and beyond service. The tech also replaced my garbage disposal just two weeks ago and I received the same courteous service. Thank you CHW for an amazing job and prompt service. Technicians were great. But the approval process for the work needs to be done faster or the techs should be informed of what is covered prior to visit. Work was delayed waiting on approval. Time was lost. The AC was out an additional four hour waiting for the approval process. The techs went to another job and had to come back to do the work.

I have been a member of CHOICE HOME WARRANTY SINCE 2019. I HAVE had two claims on my a/c, first I had to pay for the part because that part wasn't covered. Second claim evaporator wasn't covered because that part had corrossive matter IN the part, it seems they find something to avoid paying. But for my compensation I got a one month's free and I got a 1900.00 bill to paid.

I am customer form Phoenix, Arizona and was stupid enough to trust Choice Home Warranty and buy their warranty for 3 homes. For 2 single family homes I purchased 5-year plan and paid over 5K for them. For the townhome I was paying year by year until we had a water leak and AC issue one week apart in townhome. The water leak was so bad that there was water in our garage and our neighbor's garage. I called them and they assigned a company to fix it, but the appointment time was for 2 days later. I requested for faster service, but they said they cannot send anyone faster. The plumbing company’s rate was 2 out of 5. Instead of coming to fix the issue pluming company sent another contractor to assess the water damage.
The HOA and neighbor kept calling me at work. I was new on the job, had to step out multiple times to call Choice HW and got no help, and eventually got a warning email from my boss! We had to fix the plumbing issue out of pocket as the neighbor said I will be responsible for any damages to their home. In our townhome we have 2 AC. The AC for 3rd floor was not working properly. It was hot summer in Arizona. 3rd floor without AC becomes a hell. The tech came and after our phone conversation he said he need to come back to get the key to open the compressor. He came back with a wrong key, and said will come back later.
After I got a text message that the service was completed from CHW, I called the tech. He said they denied the claim. I called several times but all they told me was they don’t cover the valve. Another 2 HVAC techs came and told me it need more Freon gas to operate. I am not even sure if there was an issue with the valve or no, but on ** they say they cover all parts of the AC. They used valve issue only to get deny the claim. They could add more Freon and not fix the leak as the heat in 3rd floor can really makes people sick or even kill people during summer.
This company does not care for customer's health or safety or your home. They only want to rob customers and do not deliver any services when the customers are desperate. If you have to pay out of your pocket be wise and do not buy their empty promises. As a Choice Home Warranty customer I feel so betrayed and left alone. They are one of the worst businesses in US that should not continue operating. I wish I could give them negative 10 rating.

Checked both my refrigerator and dryer and determined what was wrong and told me he would order the necessary parts. He was very professional and friendly. He was confident that both could be repaired. This is the second time that I have used Choice Home Warranty and both times I have been satisfied.

The contractor came out and fixed the dishwasher. But it only ran for half a cycle. Choice told me that I needed to get a new one, but was only going to compensate me $150. I asked if I could just get a credit for anywhere to apply that 150 towards a new dishwasher. But they told me that it was too late and that I'd have to have them come out again to pay the service fee again for the work order to be active for them to try to do that. So I ended up buying a new dishwasher myself. When I filed the claim, it took about a week for somebody to come out. After that, Choice reached back out to me a week and a half later. Then I tried to reach out in regards to the compensation they were trying to offer me and I just got the run around until the month was up to where then I would have to do a new service call.
I like Choice's pricing. The service fee is cheap. The vendors are fine. I live in Maricopa so sometimes it takes a while before a vendor can come out. When I signed up with them, it was supposed to be if something broke or went wrong that they would replace it. But for them to only give me less than a quarter of what something's worth to replace, it was kind of a downside.

It would have been nice to have had someone triage my AC problem ASAP instead of within 2 days. I had to cancel because of a previous outpatient surgery already scheduled. The company wasn't able to work with me on trying to come out the following day. I had plumbing issues, created another ticket. Didn't receive an email until 4 hours later letting me know who it had been assigned to.

Thank you so much for sending Air Zone out to my home. The technician Ryan was so awesome, and my AC unit is working so much better. He checked everything and found the unit needed Freon. Unlike the first company that came out (five star) who by the way sabotaged the AC unit and said Freon was not needed and was trying to make a sale without going through CHW. Please discontinue your affiliation with five star. Five star gives CHW a bad reputation. Thanks so much to Air Zone and Ryan for your honesty, integrity and professionalism. He even made us a little better offer after talking with us about our experience with another home insurance company. Bad outlet plug....Service was performed as requested HOWEVER you score a 4 on speed of service and not being able to assign anyone on a timely basis. It took you 2 weeks to assign someone and two different electricians because you did not ask them first if they could take the job, you just assigned the appt time and TOLD THEM when to be here. NOT Good Customer Service...it would be much nicer if we could talk to someone directly at your company other than just leaving messages on an answering machine.

A technician was scheduled to come to my home on 06/16/2022 between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. No one ever showed up nor did I receive any messages stating any changes. Phone calls to the technician were fruitless since the message box was full. That even I called CHW and was told the technician had an accident.
The schedule was changed to 06/20/2022 between the same hours as for 06/16/22 which resulted in a repeat of 06/16/22. Once again I applied the phone call to CHW and was not provided any reason for the lack of communications regarding the failure to arrive as scheduled. A third new schedule was for 06/21/2022 during the same hours as previously scheduled. Once again there was a failure to communicate and my upstairs room is still without air conditioning.
I believe, with this type of service, I will seek other means to work with and believe I am entitled to a full refund of $1,996.00 which was paid for four years of expected superior service. Kindly let me know if you have any questions. This is not the type of service I expected. Please cancel this contract and kindly return the $1,1996.00 dollars that I have paid.

So far I filed two claims with Choice Home Warranty. One for my plumbing which I'm supposed to be having somebody come look at on Friday. It has taken 3 months for somebody to be able to get out here to look at my plumbing but I place another claim for my refrigerator and Sears came out within 2 days and looked at it and they already placed order for me to get a gift card so I can buy another refrigerator. I definitely recommend a Sears if you have any problems with any kitchen or laundry appliance because they are incredible! Choice home warranty did tell me that they was going to give me a free month for the inconvenience of it taking so long to get my plumbing fixed. I don't know if they're going to give it to me or not because they told me this before and they did not follow through but if they do I will let you guys know.

I have initiated 4 claims in the recent month due to system appliance failures in my home covered by CHW. In each case it has been a battle to navigate and fight for coverage. There is woefully inadequate contracted with CHW technicians in my area and we are forced to use the Claim Reimbursement Process which favors denial of claims. I will tell everyone I know to never use this company. CHW makes false claims and advertisements relative to their coverage.

I called in...a technician was to be dispatched finally after 5 days. Then he did not show up or call to say he was not coming. Waited a few more days with no technician so chose to contact a local technician per the option provided. Once my technician did estimate, the diagnosis was sent and was approved within a couple hours and the repair was made the same day...finally. I live in a rural area and have had a Choice warranty for a number of years. I feel they should recruit qualified technician in any area that has Choice customers so that we don't have to wait days for them to find someone to do needed repairs/replacements.

The ice maker has only been working for 2 months and it is now broken again. The first time it took 9 months to fix. Since this is ongoing and not really fixed I should not have to pay again. This is a reflection of CHOICE Warranty not the technician. The last tech came yesterday and said to get a new filter which I just got a new one. Of course I ordered another new one that was $70. This IS NOT RIGHT!!!

The 2nd claim I am cancelling because I fixed the problem. But, I am impressed with how quickly a repair person was contacted by you and then contacted me.

I use home warranty due my being retired and on a fixed income. Choice is requiring me to pay 40 percent of the costs for the AC replacement. I was very disappointed to have to pay $2300.00 towards the cost of replacement. I still don't understand why I have to pay the technician labor expense of 1770 dollars, when you advertise that you replace any equipment to include installation. Before anyone pay for Choice service, make you let a lawyer read the fine print. Beside the above costs, they also stated that there would be additional charges. This means that they can come up with another charge prior to installing. I am very disappointed. I have served this country for 33.5 years just to get overcharged by blood sucking programs that promise the pie in the sky if you join their program. Yet, I saved some money by having a home warranty program. Very disappointing. We have to have the home warranty plans.

Top Notch Plumbing was calling me within minutes of making the service request - very impressive and polite. Technician (Chris) was friendly, polite and competent. It turns out that the disposal was NOT the problem - apparently it was the quality of the stainless steel sink that was noisily vibrating - still unclear as to why it waited 15 years to vibrate but that is immaterial. The point is that we were only asking for information - NOT requesting a sink replacement.
The response from CHW was a little "in your face" denying that request. Top Notch Plumbing was terrific - CHW's response could have been not quite so "cut and paste - one size fit all". After all, this is the first repair request we have made since having your warranty for the last two years. I will continue to use CHW and I know in the future, if necessary, I will know how to phrase any questions to the technician to avoid turmoil. Thanks.

My issue was a backed-up sink. Casey one of the technicians for SC Jetting visited my home. Casey was professional, personal and prompt. I had a window of service from 11-3 and he was at my home by noon. Furthermore, Casey did some good troubleshooting to solve my sink issue. I would highly recommend SC Jetting.

CHW have great service, it don't take weeks for you to get someone to come out and diagnose your issues. I've been with them for a couple of years and I recommend them for Home Warranty. If you renew early you get bonuses too! Call a claim. See how fast you get service. I never had to waits no more than a day or so. Now that's FAST.

Requested on-line for warranty service on a Sunday morning from CHW, received a confirmed appointment within a few hours, but the appointment given was 8 days out. Called CHW the next morning and expressed my concern about living out of coolers for 8 days and if anything could be done. Customer Service was gone for about 2 minutes and came back with a revised appointment, the repairman would be arriving in about 2-4 hours. I was thrilled to say the least with the possibility of a working fridge in slightly over 24 hours from my contact with CHW. The repair of 2 separate issues were done quickly and professionally, with the repairman in communication several times with CHW. Once complete the repairman texted me a link for credit card payment of the deductible, and the process was complete. I am very happy with the entire experience with Choice Home Warranty.

Septic tank pump panel and post severely damaged/broken. Freeman Septic Tank was contacted and came to my home the same day. Damage was assessed and replacement of Panel and Post was the only option. Parts had to be ordered, but arrived a few days later. Removal and installation of the new panel and post was completed within two hours. Septic System is now functioning properly pumping liquid to the drain field. Freeman Septic Tank, Inc., was highly professional in their dealings, and job site cleanup. Highly recommend Freeman Septic Tank for any Septic System need in the Aiken, SC locality.

My air conditioner was not working so I called and Choice Home Warranty sent a tech to check it out. He said I needed freon and put it in. He neglected to contact home warranty to get approval but said that was all it needed. I was charged $1335 to have the freon, which is covered under warranty, put in. The Warranty company said that because the tech didn't call first and ask for permission they would not cover it.

I am satisfied with the technician sent to my house, from Clark's Good Housekeeping. He was efficient and knowledgeable and when I call, the office is always helpful and friendly. I am dissatisfied with the amount offered me to replace my oven. You CANNOT buy a wall oven for $349 anywhere, or even twice that amount, but Choice limited me only to Lowe's with a gift card. I declined and requested my oven be repaired knowing I will have to wait on parts. I paid for a warranty that has me paying two times more to replace my oven. I will not use Choice Warranty any longer than I am committed to.

I just enrolled in your home warranty plan. I’ve warranty with another company and I’m looking to switch. I inquired and I received an email stating 10% off first month free. Then representative told me that my service call would be $75 because I’m paying $85 with my current company. So I received my contract by email and it says $85. So I called back plus I had another email granting me 20% off. I talked to another rep and he said he fix the $85 but he’s going to transfer me about the 20% off. That’s were I’m at now. Getting put on hold in circles.
