During the past 60 days, we have had back-to-back issues with our appliances. The oven went out in the rental property and within a week the AC went out. The issues with both appliances were completed with minimal out-of-pocket expense. We paid the service fees for both, and CHOICE took care of the rest. I would recommend CHOICE to all property owners.

The Pioneer Overhead Door Technician arrived during the specified time of our service. He was polite, friendly and listened to our problem. He did a thorough inspection and quickly discovered the cause of the intermittent working of the opener. He corrected the problem and was helpful in saving us an additional credit card charge.

The repairman called before coming to the house to give arrival time, came, evaluated problem and replaced disposal quickly with no mess. No problem. I was very happy with his professionalism and would highly recommend him to anyone who is having a plumbing problem.

It took three contractors before one was assigned that showed up, followed through, and accurately assessed and fixed my AC problem. All the appointments were set up without discussing with me if I could be there. On three of the appointments, the contractors failed to show up and either rescheduled or canceled. The first contractor after rescheduling came out, inaccurately assessed my problem, didn't submit it to Choice and then you fired them. The second contractor canceled their appointment and declined the job.
I called the third contractor ten minutes before the appointment time to see if they had a more precise time and discovered they had no record of being contacted by Choice to do my job. It took three weeks to actually get a contractor to my house and resolve my issue. So to sum up: Please contact me before setting appointment time to ensure we coordinate schedules. Make sure you verify the contractor knows you have assigned them the work before telling me you have assigned them. Make sure you have reliable and competent contractors.

AlBoro plumbing was fantastic. Assed the problem, fixed the problem and all in a timely manner. Very professional and very considerate. After faucet installation he cleaned up and wiped down any mess. Everything was back to useable and nice again. Highly recommend.

They came out and diagnosed the problem with hot water heater in 1 minute. The technician ran to our local hardware store, picked up the part that I needed, and fixed it in a flash. Then he vacuumed up the remaining water in the drip tray and relit my pilot light. He was very professional! I would highly recommend them again!

He looked at my issue and quickly showed me what the real issue was. He did a temporary fix as I filed it under the wrong heading with Choice Warranty. We were very unhappy with the long wait that we were forced to do in the summer in Az. Feel that CHW didn't do all they could to find a technician that could come soon. However, the tech that did come to the house was thorough, courteous and got us our ac back sooner than he thought he could. He had a cancellation so came to house sooner than scheduled. Joe ** will get recommended by us to neighbors and friends.

My A/C unit went out Aug. 8th. I filed an insurance claim and a repair service technician responded the next day. The contractor, Sanchez A/C Services was competent, punctual and professional. Exactly what I expect from a contracted service provider.

The tech told me to give it a week or so to see if issue is resolved.. He said to call them back and then CHW if needed.. I will know probably by mid next week A/C was not keeping up with the extreme hot weather.

Alex came out at 8:00 pm. He worked on unit for about 30 to 40 minutes and found the problem. He was cheerful, and very happy. He gave me the impression that he was happy to service my unit. Alex had already worked 14 hours or more and came in fresh and ready to work. If I have AC problems in the future, but hopefully not I want Raiders AC to do the job. Alex is a fabulous technician and knows his job. He also take pride in his work.

Tech Bright homes pros came with private and visualized my unit, clean the wiring and charged for $85. It did NOT solve the problem. Called, Leave message and no call back. Rescheduled Ricks Hvac and no call no show. I hired a private company with desperation with outside and inside tenp 95 degress I was charged. $1006.00 By YATES Hvac company.

I called Choice Home Warranty to report a non-working ice maker. The rep who took my information was very professional and helpful. She clearly explained the procedure. Edward with Sears Home Services came to repair the ice maker. I was very pleased with his service. The only problem was Sears gave him a telephone number that has been out of service for 20 years. Edward apologized for not being able to call before he arrived. A very good experience.

It took a day and a half for you to find a plumber. It took a week for the plumber to put me on their schedule. After reviewing the problem plumber advised that he had to call you to get permission to fix as he felt necessary. Several hours after he left I called his office to find out what was the disposition. They advised me that they were given permission to fix but couldn't put me back on the schedule for another week.. Over two weeks to fix a faucet leak is ridiculous.!! (I must add that the plumber (Technician?) who analyzed the problem was pleasant and seemed to be very competent and explained very well what needed to be done.)

My first experience with Choice is very bad. I have a leakage in the bathroom from the tub and was going down to my kitchen. I asked them they needed to send somebody to fix it. A plumber came in, looked at it, and said he had to order a part. He was not telling me what he was ordering or what he was doing. He was missing for three weeks. I kept trying to call and leaving messages but there was no answer. When I called Choice, they got ahold of him, and he said the part was backordered. Then he came in, spent a half hour, changed the part, and took my money. It was $65 that I was supposed to pay for downpayment. He said everything was fixed.
Next day morning, my son was taking a shower and it started leaking again. I tried to contact him but he wouldn't answer the phone. I left messages but still, nothing. I had to call one of my own plumber because it was ridiculous. We couldn't use the bathroom over three weeks long. My plumber came in and said there was a leak inside the wall, where the faucet is connected to the tub. The pipe needed to be replaced. He also told me, "I don't know why he changed this part. There was nothing wrong with it." My plumber needed to change the plumbing. He had to cut the wall and replace the pipe. After that, everything was fine. I contacted Choice back that they needed to send me my money back. They said, "We cannot refund you the money because you did not ask us. We had to investigate whether or not he was certified."

I have had to replace my appliances & this time for some reason I had problems getting more in a check form. I don’t like Lowe's & don’t want to be forced into buy from them. It was unfair to offer me more money for their gift card & not in a check.

The AC company assigned our claim set our appointment just hours after we filed. However the date was almost a week away. We spoke to the company and they immediately put us on the list to be called if someone canceled. The following day they called with an appointment for the following day. The tech arrived on time and got our AC working in no time. He was friendly and professional, the perfect combo for any business.

This is also our first claim. The first person I talked to was a little hard to understand. The person that called me was very nice and explained a couple of things that I was not aware of. I asked her how long it would take for a technician to contact us. I also asked if she could help me with some of the time limits and she cleared up all my questions. I recommend her for a pat on the back or recognition of her attention to the customer.

CHW sent a qualified contractor, namely Sears, to repair the GE refrigerator which was running too cold. The Tech found there were two gaskets that were worn and he recommended that they be replaced. CHW was reluctant to authorize expenditure which left me in an embarrassing position of paying for the cost of the gaskets. Currently I am appealing the CHW decision.

Called Choice Warranty about my door opener not working. They got me in touch with a garage door company. The repairman came on time, solved the problem, fixed the garage door, and was very polite. Only issue was payment..they didn't take checks. Luckily, they took plastic...I think this should be communicated to the customer so you could be prepared.

Could not get anyone to come. After many conversations, someone was coming several weeks after calling and they told us we would have to pay $75.00. Our usual fee we pay is $45.00. We decided to cancel service and we bought new washer. My husband wanted to cx your service but we decided to wait. Friday night the thermostat on A/C in the upstairs was not working and I called Choice. This time we got better service. The man came on Monday and fixed it. We only paid $45.00!! Can you please explain why it was $75.00 for Washing machine?

I requested a service call to repair the Duct leading from the outdoor air conditioning unit to the indoor register. After inspection it was determined the duct needed to be reattached as it had split. The claim was denied. The duct needed immediate repair as the air was seeping out of the duct into the crawl space. I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET out of pocket including the deductible amount.

We were having an issue with a check valve on our pool equipment. When we put in a request for service through Choice Warranty, the call back and subsequent texts from Purpose pools were very prompt. The only issue is that the technician (Sam), came about 7:45 am and we were told a technician would be there 11AM-3PM. We were glad we were home when he came to discuss our problem. Sam was excellent in discussing what needed to be repaired, and repaired some of the issue that morning, with another visit coming up to complete the rest of the repair. He was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Our long bulbs in the basement were blowing out. New bulbs didn’t work. CHW sent Easy Electric to evaluate. They determined the problem and reported to CHW. It was approved and the electrician will be out to fix the problem tomorrow. Once repaired, I will be a very satisfied customer.

Appalachian Air technician was very courteous and on schedule. Assessed the problem and assigned a day to return and make the necessary repair. I would recommend the technician as a friendly and helpful person as to making an assessment. At this time, still waiting for the repair to be made so this is the only assessment I can honestly make.

The Sears tech was great! But I had to wait about one month to be serviced which was far longer than I expected. The rep knew his job, was efficient and easy to work with. He gave me some excellent tips on improving my ice maker usage as recommended replacing my water filter to improve water flow.

The man with Bighorn Repair who came to our home was very thorough and friendly. Unfortunately CHW continues to make this process extremely difficult, they would not accept his diagnosis and have reassigned our claim again! CHW is extremely difficult to reach by phone or communicate with. We have jobs too and don’t have time to continually be avail for a 4 hour block of time to have yet another technician eval our unit. Four technicians have eval. And share same diagnosis. Very frustrating. Do not waste your money, this has been an awful experience.

The tech. who came to look at my garage door wanted payment prior to starting work. He identified himself to my wife and stated what he was there to do and then told her we owe him $65. She said she got a demanding feeling from the tech. that maybe he was going to do the work without payment.

I called Choice Home Warranty on 4 August due to my HVAC not working. Choice Home representative schedule me for 10 August for repairman to come out for the repair of my HVAC. At the time I didn’t read the email showing the 10 August date. Friday I called repairman and he stated he would see me next Wednesday the 10th. I called Choice Home Warranty Saturday to get permission to call a local HVAC Company. Integris HVAC was able to send an individual to my home and repaired HVAC.

The refrigerator repair technician came out as scheduled and was extremely helpful. He did not have the parts to fix the refrigerator, but ordered them and scheduled a return visit to install them once they arrived. I would recommend his service.

Suddenly, late Thursday afternoon, my refrigerator ceased to "frigerate," much less Refrigerate, I called and filed the claim, which was pretty easy, once I got the automated service to understand a I an issue with refrigeration, not "refrigerator hinges." The claim was processed promptly and a service provider was identified, and I was notified a tech would come out on Tuesday.. The repair technician actually came out early - on Friday afternoon, diagnosed the problem, and had the unit working by Saturday afternoon. Many thanks!

Aaron ** is outstanding!! I absolutely wasn't going to renew my contract with you due to the repeated low levels of service I received over the past 10 years. Aaron listened carefully to my concerns and trepidation and beautifully explained your new coverages and recent changes in leadership, Aaron absolutely made me feel those changes in "real time," and he was the sole factor in my renewal for another 6 years. Knowing that he is also my Account Rep for the foreseeable future sealed the deal! I do not expect Aaron will be my Account Rep for long, as he seems like someone the company will quickly grow into expanded opportunities. I've only used Choice Home Warranty once so far, and I did not like it. My air conditioner was not cooling properly. Choice sent me out two guys from an agency that only had a 2 rating. Although they quickly diagnosed the problem, which was not enough Freon and that was all the problem I had, but I'm in a wheelchair situation so I couldn’t walk after them and see what they've done. They left the light on in the garage where they were working. I didn't get to go in there until the next day. That's minor. But what they did leave open was the gate. I paid $2,000 for a champion dog. And they left the gate open. I can't see the gate from the house. That dog would have been gone and that would’ve been a tragedy. Minor repair, okay. But leaving the gate wide open scared me.
My evaluation of Choice is they engage the cheapest kind of help. Because this was the cheapest. The business got the lowest rating of all that I saw on the internet, and plenty of complaints. And this is who Choice chose to send to my house. I'm not going to renew it. I'm going to drop it, the whole concept of this home warranty stuff. In our area, they have what they call Angi, who screens a little better. I would never use Choice for an air conditioning.

I had water flooding under my sink cabinet, and it was pouring from the bottom of the Garbage Disposal. I called Choice. The Tech. that was sent was very professional & knowledgeable, he asked about the problem and then proceeded to fix it.. He did a very good job..

I want to commend Choice for their EXCELLENT representatives who came to the house and within a matter of minutes, diagnosed the problem with the clogged AC primary drain line. They cleaned it out, checked out the system and left with everything in good working order. Scott (Owner) of Alpha Dawgs Services and his co worker out of Tucson, AZ were prompt, courteous, and very professional.
Choice Home Warranty has my vote!! I have had MANY Home warranty companies, but the service was very poor due to slow pay of their contractors after work completion. Choice emailed me promptly with who and when the service techs were, and when the appointment was set for me. A window of time was given and the service tech was fantastic at keeping me informed of the close to exact time they would be at the house to meet me. The process was seamless and KUDOS to all involved. Thank you!!!!

The person who helped me get a new home warranty policy was very helpful and answered my questions with ease. I believe that Choice Home Warranty will live up to their name once we decide to take their service. Considering how expensive fixing anything electrical, plumbing, water heater, cooling system, kitchen appliances, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, and refrigerator can be we imagine we will hopefully be saving in the long run.

This rating is not reflective of the work that was done on my home. This rating is reflective of the experience working with Choice when filing a claim. The entire experience was poor. No one called me from Choice to explain to me my coverage, share with me their approval or denial, or even explain my options when for the vendor that was used. I received minimal communication from Choice. I had to call to validate I could move forward with the services.

If anyone is considering purchasing any type of warranty from Choice Home Warranties don't do it. The customer service is horrible, they also send unprofessional and unskilled workers to your home to complete work. The technician did not hook the flute to the furnace emitting carbon monoxide all throughout the property, he uninstalled the water tank and left it full in the living room and told my tenant to keep emptying the buckets. A request was placed for a new hot water tank and the one that was brought to my house was from 2017. I have made several attempts to reach out to Choice for answers and to date no one has responded to any of my messages. Run from this company. Save yourself the time, frustration and money.

We have found them very responsive in the past and usually get our problem fixed within a couple days. Some time you need to speak to the assigned contractor for faster service. I have recommended Choice to a number of friends and they have been very happy. I've used Choice for over five years.

Technician was nice and professional. He was early and was very experienced to know what was already going on by the time he looked at it. Of course part had to be ordered but was to be expected. He returned the next Monday and had it repaired in 15 minutes.

I am not one to write reviews but will attempt in this case. After an unpleasant experience with our existing appliance warranty, we were in the market for a new and better product. After chatting with Albert, Choice Warranty appears to meet all our needs and then some with a lower premium. The proof will be in the pudding as they say. We hope we won’t have to call for any major repairs but are hoping that Choice Warranty will live up to all that it promises. We appreciate that Albert took the time to explain what is offered and that there are a number of qualified repair men in our locale.

Was efficient in finding problem, knowledgeable of what problem was. Corrected problem right away. I would hire if had any electrical issues in my house in the future. Ask if I could send him picture of electrical box. This gave him information regarding box ahead of time.

My A/C was making noise at night, disturbing our sleep. Didn't know what was happening with the A/C. We called in a claim for it, and a technician was assigned. The technician came right out and was prompt, respectful and professional. He identified the issue and in no time, the system was running properly again.

Choice Home Warranty assigned a job to a business that does drywall. The day they were to show up, they call me and told me that they quit working for CHW. Then CHW assigned the job to another company. The day that they were to show up, I called them to confirm. They said they did not work with CHW anymore. Then my washer machine stops working. I call CHW and they sent me a company that specializes in washing machines, however, the day he was to show up, he quit and said that he never received a job order from your company. And would never work for your company again. At this point, my washing machine was broke for 2 weeks. I have children. I hired a company to come to my house and fix the washing machine and it cost me $140 out-of-pocket. I ask him to submit it to CHW and he said he wanted nothing to do with your company.

I called your company after paying the bill for over six months when my air condition wasn’t working properly. Your company told me they would have someone out within 24 hours. It’s now been over a week and we’ve had no response from anyone at your company so I’m very dissatisfied.

Really nice salesman and I call him that instead of customer care because. Instead of being transparent about prices, they kept trying to change the prices to make it seem like better deal. I don't like that, I wish businesses wouldn't push employees into being sales representative. It made me feel like I was being scammed. I did however get a great deal and so far would recommend them.

Yesterday I put in a claim for someone to come out to my house to stop a leak in my bathroom. Nobody even called me. I paid you guys $800 for service that I'm not getting and possibly causing damage to my counters under the faucets. Who will be fixing that??? I'm very upset about this. My dryer was malfunctioning and I submitted a claim against my home warranty policy. A technician came on-site to my home to evaluate and diagnose problem with 48 hrs of my request. It was determined the dryer needed to be replaced and the policy cover a portion of the expense of a new dryer. Very satisfied with offering and the easiness of utilizing my policy to file the claim.

I was looking for a quicker and reliable service. I used to have American Home Shield earlier, so I switched to Choice Home Warranty. Signing up was not complex. It was straightforward. I have submitted, so far, two claims, and I find it pretty convenient. The problems are very minor, so the techs did a good job. The first guy came to check the AC, and the other guy came to fix the flush.

I had water on my basement floor. When I reported that they said you had to say where it came from it was under my water heater so I said that. Turns out it was not the water heater that technician tried to get him to let him repair something different a PRV valve. They said no had to put in another claim. I had already been 3 days with no hot water this was very disturbing. I had already paid the copay the $85 now I need to pay another copay and have another appointment which will be in another 3 days. I am very disappointed with this service.

On Aug 5 my air on stopped working amidst a 100 degree heat in Henderson. I called up Choice and it took them 5 hrs to assign a technician. When I tried to follow up w/ it’s Choice their response is that it’s their system that will assign the work and I just had to wait in the sweltering heat.

We have tried to file 2 claims with Choice Home Warranty in the last year. The 1st time they took so long to respond to our broken A/C and were not able to send out a technician for over a week to look at it that we had to go with another technician and therefore we were not able to use the warranty. They did not want to have to replace our A/C! Currently we are using it a second time several months later and we are in almost a week and a half trying to replace a broken water heater... Delayed into next week which will be two weeks without hot water. They were scheduled to come today but didn't show up. We also will have to pay $535 for the visit and installation, almost the replacement cost of the small water heater. We have wasted our money on this Warranty contract... They are expensive, very slow, high fees, with very poor service! I regret the day I took their marketing call!

It is taking weeks and weeks to get anything fixed. Choice will send you a email of the information of the company and the scheduled time. Well we have waited all day and for them to show and get it fixed. I called 40 minutes past time and he said he couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. Then why send email with info and scheduled time if they require a conference call first. He had already been here once and I had paid him his $85 so I knew he was coming back to fix it. He never called my phone, I checked and no call or no voicemail. Choice should get companies that is more local. Very aggravating.

I did a claim with Choice Home Warranty for my garage door opener. The technician replaced the motor. He came initially to look at it, and then he came back a couple of days later after he had ordered the motor. It took almost two weeks for Choice to find a technician to come and do it. So, I'm probably saving some money in the long run, but the timeframe and the inconvenience of it were kind of hard. It seems like every time I call for something, they don't have any technicians available. Also, they should pay their technicians on time. They're calling me and saying that they haven't been paid. They want me to pay them because they haven't received the voucher money from the company.

Far too many "Oh, that's not covered" when the stuff hits the fan. For example, I have damaged sheetrock in my home, and it says my drywall/sheetrock is a covered item. I filled out the request form, told them recent storms had caused water damage (it was there on the request) and they sent out people who looked, wrote an estimate and that afternoon I receive an email that says my damage isn't covered. Well, my policy says drywall is covered, I told you it was water damage. Then they send people to my home where I have to pay the fee to them, and then I am told "not covered". Why didn't they tell me that BEFORE they sent people out and cost me my hard-earned money, just to be rejected?

Well the dryer men they sent last year took forever to fix the machine … my daughter bought me a new one after it stopped drying after the month was up a second time. The microwave man they sent just this week knew right away the machine would cost more to fix than it was worth so they are sending me a Lowe's gift card for me to buy a new one prorated so I have to pay a lot more for a new one.

The condo I own at ** had issues with dishwasher. I contacted CHW representative that I purchased the warranty, Bruce **. He connected with a service agent Al 7/22/2022. He was placing a work order and would hear from the contracted repair service in 24 hours. I still had not heard anything and called back on 7/25/2022 and was connected to Max who said he would handle it. I was contacted by Eddie's Repair and Maintenance on 7/26/2022 but could not come to the condo address until 8/5/2022 and to make sure $75 service was there. He came on that date and did repair the dishwasher.
My concern is the timeliness. It was not 24 hours from my initial contact with CHW to a return call from the repair service. If this would have been a major plumbing or electrical or HVAC issue it would not be acceptable to wait 2 weeks. I need assurances that CHW response and timeliness will live up to their claim of contact within 24 hours and the problem handled or may rethink termination of my contract and go with another company.

You didn’t pay because he didn’t have time to approve because I had an emergency situation with water leaking and ruining my wood under my sink. So you won’t pay me and I had to pay or wait and have more damage. I think you should pay me because you failed to help me in an emergency situation.

CHW is horrible! They do NOT have 24/7/365 customer service. They don't have 'emergency service '. They deny claims, deny repairs & low ball offers to replace appliances. I filed 4 claims since having them. HVAC Claim they DENIED! I had a cracked heat exchanger on a 19 year old furnace. They said it was pre-existing. Plus if they did approve the claim, they would have only paid out FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS MAX! For a new system? Really it cost me $5,000.00
Plumbing claim they DENIED! It happened on a Saturday. I filed claim online. But since they are only available M-F normal business hours. I was forced to call a plumber because I had raw sewage backed up into tub, sink & toilet. This could NOT wait until Monday or later. Front load washer, this they approved. But it took over 6 WEEKS, to get my washer fixed.
Gas Range claim (convection oven, probe cooking, self cleaning, 5 burner etc) well they denied the repairs. But said I qualified for a replacement. Ha! What a joke! Their idea of replacement is less than 1/4 the cost to replace my current range! Then that takes 30 business DAYS to receive the funds!! Because they don't actually offer a replacement. This company currently has over 10,000 complaints filed with the BBB. There are also class action lawsuits against them. Don't make the same mistake! Go with a better home warranty company!

I just signed up for a plan. I will not be able to officially use it for 30 days. So, I cannot tell you how good the claims process will be until I actually have to make a future claim. My biggest gripe is with so-called customer service: outsourcing to foreign countries, which doesn't allows me to feel I am guaranteed to either get the most correct information, and/or no more information than what's actually listed on the website.
So much information is convoluted, or often possibly misinterpreted, and so I can see one of a few reasons why this company pushes multiple times at the beginning to try and get customers to pay for one year, versus monthly, which is what the majority can afford, and which makes most sense. No one in their right mind will ever pay for one year up front with a risk of not getting unused months back if they decide to cancel the service. Because let's face the facts: no rational person knows what a service like this will actually do until they have to use it to file a claim. Let's be realistic.

The plumber replaced a rubber ring in the tank and declared leak fixed. I put food color in tank of that toilet to check leak fixed and color came through into bowl which indicates leak was not fixed. Have cut water off going into toilet again as. My water bill is extremely high due to leak. I am 83 and should not have to go through this twice for same problem.

I got two other opinions and they did not confirm the same diagnosis as the representative that CHW sent. Therefore I felt that CHW sent someone that knows what they will pay for and what they won’t pay for; hence the result of a diagnosis that’s CHW did will not pay for a replacement hot water tank. Additionally, when I got this contract it was said that they cover certain things and they weren’t specific that it had to be a specific diagnosis in order for CHW to replace it; hence their deceptive selling practice.

Going through the Choice Home Warranty's phone service was a little tedious. I felt like it was asking repeating questions. I get that they have to make sure the information is correct. I didn't get a chance to go on to the website to try that out. I'm hoping I don't have to file a ton of claims, but next time, if I do, I'm definitely going to try online because the phone option was a little bumpy. When we put in the claim, it had been a couple of days before I heard anything. That was when I got an email saying that we could hire our own technician. So, I got my own people out and they were quick and responsive, and they got us taken care of in less than 24 hours.

I got in to Choice Home Warranty cause of some good reviews I saw online and to be honest pricing is great! So I put in my info and not even 10 seconds I got a call from this guy Francis. He was great answering my questions and had me convince since my warranty will expire next month so i signed up! Then he start trying to be pushy. His trying to give me a great deal which it is that will save me over $800 in 3 yrs! Which is sweet! But I don't know much about this warranty company and wanted to have a feel of it first before committing that long. It gets annoying and his pushy and i had enough! And cut him off! And said I will stick with the monthly plan for now and told him that he should limit his sales push off and feel the client and has to know how to stop before loosing a deal!
Francis sounds annoyed cause he can't close me on longer terms? Francis you're good on what you do but you have to know the limits on pushing your sales speech. It's great! How you told me that I will be saving a lot of money and I get it. But on your side you have to understand the other side. Why??? Instead of pushing to sell and getting a higher commission and instead of getting a customer for life! 10 yrs in the car business and I did the same mistake you did years ago and learned from it. I almost cancelled this warranty cause how Francis approach me after getting my payment. I really hope I made a good CHOICE. I'm really trying to talk myself that just because FRANCIS gave me a bad vibes that choice warranty is bad.. hoping not! I shall see and if not happy will cancel immediately! The sales representative on the phone was able to explain the policy very quickly and was able to answer all my questions. He was able to accommodate to my request to shorten the time committed to three and a half years to lower my out-of-pocket expense. Extremely disappointed with the entire process. Reps at CHW had little patience or knowledge of what goes on with a garage door opener. They first sent me a tech who we could not find, a CHW rep could not find him. So her best advice was to just wait until he got there. And HE NEVER SHOWED. So I wasted most of a day waiting for a tech who you couldn't contact and wouldn't answer my calls. Should have been some kind of reimbursement for me but tech more or less said to bad.. The tech that you finally did send and showed up made some adjustments to the opener. He was not at all sure that what he did will fix problem. We are on a wait and see program with him, us and the opener. You need to do better from your office.

I had a Lennox central a/c unit installed in February 2020, and minus a few minor issues, the system functioned properly until August 1, 2022. As a Louisiana resident, I am fully aware of the warm conditions we live under and a 4-ton central unit should be able to cool a 2250sq ft home. My claim was denied stating "abnormal operating conditions" and or a "catastrophic event" occurring, neither of which have occurred nor is there any evidence to support this conclusion. The decision to deny my claim is totally erroneous and unacceptable as there is no legal basis for this, as per the stipulations on my contract.
The position of the unit in my rear yard and the conditions it functioned under were totally normal for the homes in my neighborhood and likely in the entire State of Louisiana. The last "catastrophic event" to occur in my area was Hurricane Ida (2021) and the unit functioned during and after the hurricane, thanks to a Generac generator which allowed my home to remain cool. Choice Home Warranty needs irrefutable and undeniable proof that my unit was operating under abnormal conditions or a catastrophic event occurred to cause the unit to fail. If not, honor the contract I paid for and reverse this decision.

This is the first time having to file a claim due to my oven failure. It was determined oven would have to be replaced and I was only offered $329.00 to replace the oven. My oven is a Bosch brand a more costly than some of the other brands. But with this offer it is about a third of what it will cost to replace with the least expensive oven found. I have expressed my feeling with the person handling my claim. I will not renew my contract! They do not comply with what their policy states to repair or replace item if needed. I will not recommend Choice Home Warranty to any family, neighbors or anyone. Thanks.

My AC was out for 2 days in Florida Summer Heat. The temperature in the house was over 91 degrees so fans did not help much. Our appointment was made for 2 days after I entered my claim. My husband is elderly and on oxygen so I was hoping for next day service. And, the technician was friendly and proficient and fixed the problem quickly once he got there. He did come a few hours earlier than our appointment, and I am thankful for his service.

The technician came and was on time for when it was scheduled, he was personable and professional. I showed him the problem and he was able to fix it. It was a good thing he was thin because the work area under the sink is very small but he was able to tighten everything up without removing the sink. Job well done.

Claim managers Thomas H was very unprofessional and hung up on me while the call is still going, I had a terrible experience with him and he wouldn’t let me explain myself, he just said “Sir your claim is denied and there is nothing you could say that will change anything. Bye, your 15minutes is over”, he was very rude, loud and won’t let me talk, I called resolution department to complain about him and find a solution with my AC repair, that experience was good.

He called ahead of the appointment date to reschedule due to a conflict. Was very friendly explained everything he thought was going on with my stove and what his plan was to resolve my issues. He diagnosed the problem and is ordering the parts. The issue is not resolved/repaired. Hopefully once the parts come in and are installed the issue will be resolved.

Garage door spring broke and could not open door manually. Called Choice Warranty and the immediately gave me a work order number. Within 15 minutes I received and email from Choice Home Warranty advising me that Michelin Garage Doors was assigned the work. Then I received notice that the technician would be out between 3 and 8pm. I received a text from the door company updating the time to 2 to 4pm. The technician arrived and resolved my problem within approximately 1 hour total. He was extremely knowledgeable. He examined the issue, told me what was involved, received approval from Choice and started working on the job and it was completed in about 45 minutes. The overall experience was good but I have an issue with the customer having to call the techs to schedule after the fact that a direct time after being given a window. Also have an issue with the techs not calling back until a day after they were scheduled to be here. Because they didn’t show up or call me back I missed two days of work and still had to pay the $75 service fee. In my opinion this should’ve been on Choice or the contracting company because they never communicated on time. They never finished the job because the problem Was bigger than we thought and we’re still waiting to see when they will return to install a new toilet.

I had two issues with A/C. I called twice to make sure there was only "one" $65 charge but two issues. I tried to do it online but it wouldn't let me set up a second issue with my A/C so I called Choice. The agent said he would have to set it up as one "65" dollar service call and assured me that is what it would be. Of course, he set it up as two and I paid the A/C two. You told me one thing but did another. Listen to the audio if you can. I made it clear I wanted one service call. You owe me $65 or credit towards my claim. To me, that is terrible customer service to not be accurate.

Toilet was not flushing properly..Tech change the handle and ball, however the water in the tank started running every minute or so. I only had one problem where the person who was supposed to come out and repair a toilet. He never responded. They never charged me for it, though. Everything has been covered so far.

My Air Conditioning Unit wasn't cooling. Late afternoon, my thermostat was set at 76 but indoor temp stayed at 83. Contacted Choice Home Warranty who scheduled service for the following day. Comfort Masters arrived at the scheduled time and repaired the unit. I was impressed with everyone I dealt with from Choice to Comfort Masters and feel confident my problem was resolved. I recommend both businesses.

Although he was late on the day, he did come by and was prepared to do the job to quickly take care of the issue. I keep trying to believe this warranty service is worth it but...
Pro: response time for an initial claim is good - you get a service call set up pretty quickly, although it might be a week out.
Con 1: We didn't know it would still cost a lot to replace things. So you have your monthly charge, plus the service call fee, then it was still another $650 to replace the water heater. When we had a warranty before, it covered replacements much better.
Con 2: The communication. So hard to get a person. Our recent claim said they'll give us a Lowe's gift card for half the amount of the cheapest washer there is. All I wanted to know is can we get the money some other way, I could buy a refurbished one, etc. They won't just answer. They assign you to a case manager and you have to book an appt to talk to them. Soonest appt was 6 days away. I emailed case manager, "Can't you just answer my question." No response. I wait 6 days, they call 10 minutes late for a 15 min appt. Then tell me it's 15-30 days to get a check. Why can't you just do customer service the next day instead of this case manager appt stuff?
Con 3: I can't even give them this feedback without leaving this review. When they ask for feedback, it's no reply, or they ask about the contractor, or the wrong case manager. I tried submitting feedback before and they referred me to a case manager who can only address the claim. I also said I keep getting emails 1-2x a day saying, "your item has been ordered", even after it was installed. I told them the issue and they said to just block the emails.
So ok, I'll just give feedback here then.

Airhart LTD HVAC technician was great and very knowledgeable. However, I was disappointed that Choice Home Warranty wouldn't cover the services to clean and repair the ductwork under the house. The technician estimated the work to be approx. $250. The repair work should have been covered!

One of my ceiling fans had to be replaced. CW would only allow $70.00 on builder's grade fan. This would in no way replace the original. The contractor made an attempt to up the allowance but was refused. The first CW representative was very untruthful saying it was the contractor that was pricing the allowance and not CW. After speaking with another CW representative, she admitted CW made the allowance not the contractor.

The plumbing technician that was sent to my house to fix a stoppage and plumbing back up was very professional, courteous and informative. He was thorough with diagnostics and was able to restore function and gave recommendations to Choice Home Warranty to approve further work to prevent more plumbing issues in the future. I'm still waiting to hear from Choice as to whether they have approved this work to improve function and hopefully prevent any further issues and claims for my plumbing system, but I'm hopeful that I'll hear soon that it was approved.

Your review warning indicates that you are expecting a sugar-coated review. The automated claim(s) attendant could not recognize what I was saying as to what my claim subject was. I could not understand every word being spoken to me when a live person finally took the claim's call. If you use automation to take calls, make sure it is sophisticated enough to understand what the customer is saying. If a live, multi-lingual person is taking the call, the Choice representative should not have a heavy accent to the point that the customer cannot understand what the representative is saying. The above is exactly how my call went yesterday morning. I hope this will improve for future call.

My refrigerator quit and the technician was later than the original estimated and then he had to order parts which he said would take a couple days but the earliest he could come back was in 15 days. So now here I am without a refrigerator for 15 days and Choice Home Warranty said that they could not do anything about it. So I am very disappointed to say the least.

Sometimes Choice would send a contractor that sucks. They sent a plumber who came, took the deductible, and kept promising to come back, but he never came back to fix my toilet. Then, his company called Choice and said they didn't want to come to my house because I was harassing them. But I was simply emailing or texting them, asking them when they were going to come since they had taken my money. In the end, Choice sent another contractor out who fixed the issue. Aside from that, I also filed a complaint against a contractor, asking Choice not to use them anymore. Other than that, most times, my experience with the techs Choice sent out has been pretty good. But I would like for their salespeople to be more interested in the customer. They were so eager to get the contract, yet the customer service was lacking when I’ve had to call back and get a copy of my contract.

Experience on Purchase of Home Warranty was good. After reading contract I noticed that freezers, a second refrigerator or sump pump are not covered. Wish I had been told this at the time of getting warranty. Also, I wish I could have spread the payment of the senior plan over a few months.
