The repairman did a good job checking things out, however I questioned when I got the plan what it covered. Was told duct work was covered. However Choice Home Warranty seem to say the problem with ours isn't. This is no fault of the repairman who came to fix it.

Otis was very nice and very fast. He found the problem right away. He is very good. Fixed the ice machine in the freezer right away. And it is working. Thank you. I definitely would recommend Otis. Plus he was very pleasant also. I also paid him extra because he noticed my refrigerator needed to be moved and cleaned.

Customer service has been courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Prompt service. Plumber that was sent was also knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. New disposal was found and installed the next day, on a Saturday. Everything went smoothly. Would recommend Choice Home Warranty to family and friends.

Washer stopped ringing clothes. I was able to start a claim without any problems! Hopefully, everything goes as smooth as the initial claim process. Next step is to hear from someone about an appointment for service. This should come in an email.

Our experience was great. We did all paperwork as far as approval, online. We came in to Chesapeake and Mr ** took great care of us and did not keep us all day. Mr ** explained everything and the process was smooth and easy. He worked with us as far as down payment also.

I recently did a claim for my stove. It wasn't heating up. The tech came and changed the sensor on the stove. The little times that I have used Choice, they have been fine. But sometimes, the claim takes three to four days. When you have an emergency, you can’t afford to wait. I don't like that they put our information, and then I have to wait until somebody picks it up close to my area.

They work quickly to solve the problem. Ask all the questions needed to complete my replacements parts. Very patient on the phone. I would recommend this company, I am glad I bought a 3 year plan and I was able to use them several times. One time they sent me the money because they could not repair my microwave panel board....

I have been waiting going on two weeks now to have my AC fixed. I was told that it would be referred to a supervisor for a review on the repair. I had to wait an additional week just to have an appointment to talk to her. It was supposed to be this morning and she never called! It is miserably hot here and unbearable and I have no air conditioner!

Had to speak to “6” different agents. Not sure that our contract is renewed. The last person I spoke to told me he didn’t handle renewals but help me since I became upset & told him he was the “6th” & wasn’t going to speak to another person. He told me it was handled???? A week later I receive a call from Choice stating our contract was about to expire & we needed to renew. Needless to say I became upset & unloaded on the caller & since then have received notice by email regarding renewal. At this point I’m not sure if it has been taken care of. I not will return to AHS!!!!

The technician immediately diagnosed the problem and switched out the defective disposal. He was smart, courteous and professional. I recommend him and Choice Warranty for all appliances repairs. We had an electrical issue in where suddenly my Island Outlets were not working, and lights flicked and dimmed when air conditioner was turned on. The technician was very polite, and searched both issues and all seem to be working fine now! So glad we had this insurance!

The technician that came out on 9/1/22 was very friendly, helpful as well as knowledgeable. I was very happy with him although I have yet to have a service provided by him. His diagnosis was appropriated. I am still awaiting a reply to see if CHOICE HOME WARRANTY will allow said work to be done or flake on me. The problem isn’t the technician as much as it is my warranty company not wanting to honor the work that is needed.

In July we filed a claim that our Air Conditioner would pop the 30 amp circuit breaker every few days. The air conditioner repairman came out and said the air conditioner is working correctly. It is only drawing 14 amps when running. Yes under normal conditions it's only drawing 14 amps, but within days or hours the 30 amp circuit breaker will pop. We go outside and reset it. A month ago it may last for 1 or 2 days, but currently it pops about 2-3 times a day. We convinced the technician to replace the circuit breaker to confirm it was not a faulty circuit breaker. That very same day, it popped again. We called the technician out. 2 items in the air conditioner have been replaced. The capacitor and the contactor and it continues to pop the circuit breaker. Since the technician has no other ideas of what is wrong, he says that we have to have an electrician come and check the wiring.
We spoke with our electrician and he is adamant that it can not be the wiring. He has worked on our house often. We are willing to pay the $60 service charge even though we feel it is completely unnecessary for us to incur this charge and also for your company to have to pay for a totally useless fee. The technician told us that if it is determined that the wiring is good his recommendation is to change the whole air conditioner. We feel that the air conditioner should be fixed saving your company money. The way we see it, is 2 options. Get a qualified air conditioner company to come and determine what the problem is, or change out the whole air conditioner. We live in Phoenix and our air conditioner has been broken for over a month, and that month is the hottest time in Phoenix. Please call my husband, Tom ** to discuss.

Had a very hard time getting a repairman within a reasonable time period. Than I was told I had to pay an additional $30 for the broken cable which was not covered. Not acceptable. Really considering dropping coverage. Either something is covered or it not. The coverage should cover all its parts.

Filed a claim and had a tech at my house the next day. The tech examined my air conditioning system and found it low in refrigerant. Topped it off and checked the rest of the system to make sure it was in good condition.

The AC serviceman fixed the AC so it would come back on and work....but it was only a temporary fix (like a band aid fix). The overflow pan had filled up causing the AC to go off/not run....and the Baker AC serviceman emptied the pan and the AC came back on/worked. But the drain pipe was clogged and needed replacing with better/larger pipe to solve problem. According to my wife he was only here 30 minutes draining overflow pan. A permanent fix/solution needed/needs to be completed or problem will continue and that is what should have been done ....Not a band aid fix. Please solve this problem. Col. **

Put in claim online which provides 24/7 access on weekend. Appointment was scheduled for Wednesday. Shocked!: Was expecting an appt 2 weeks later. Instead, the appt was 3 days later. Service called and gave arrival time and the tech arrived at scheduled time, fixed refrigerator within an hour. Totally happy this time which is the exact opposite of my first experience dealing with broken dryer.

I've had Choice Warranty now for over a year and I've never had to use them so I've never been able to put any kind of recommendation but I've read a lot of stories and recommendations that weren't very good on home warranty companies. I totally disagree. Choice Warranty I call them on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning I had a great technician from Red Beard plumbing. I live in spring Hill Florida. He was wonderful. He knew his stuff. He fixed my tablet and toilet. I watched him do his work. He knew what he was doing. He was very professional, very polite. I am totally stoked and totally happy with the work and the speed and quality of everything that happened. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty. I disagree with everybody says they had a bad time. I had a very good experience with the whole thing. My opinion thank you home warranty for your quick service and professionalism.

I absolutely love my plan. I do wish you could put in an order for more than one thing instead of being charged for each troubled item. I feel like having to report things separately feels to be a slick way of me paying several deductibles. But other than that it’s good to have.

Absolute scam. Do not choose this company for your home warranty. I put in a claim for a water heater leak more than 6 weeks ago. No one ever came out to look at my hot water heater. I called the company multiple times and they said the same rehearsed line over and over, they were diligently working on finding a technician.
The water heater leak got so bad it started to flood my basement so we had to turn off our hot water altogether. Another 2 weeks went by, no call. No one was able to help. I had to pay out of pocket for a new water heater and they refused to reimburse me for the water heater and refused to give me a refund for the 2 months of service where they actually failed to complete their end of the contract by providing a plumber to fix the water heater. I tried to do the refund option where I pay for the service and then choice pays me back but no plumber in my region works with warranties.
AND the reputation manager confirmed on my call that “just like they don’t work with us, we don’t work with them” soooo who was supposed to come out and repair my water heater if no plumber in my region works with warranty companies?? Complete and utter scam! When I called to cancel and ask for a refund the “resolution manager” said “great news I can have a $150 check sent in the mail to help with part of the cost of the new water heater” I literally laughed. Here is the kicker, I can only receive the check if I continue with my plan! Complete scam of a company. No one is helpful. Do not waste your money.

Like the air condition after 8/9 to 8/23. Heat was unbearable. I recommend after a sudden length of time I need a inside air unit for to set on floor to cool 1 room. And then Fed ex back to choice. We submitted a trouble report at about 8AM today and received a note saying it may take up to 6 hours for a repair technician to respond. It's now been about 8.5 hours, and we still have not heard from a repair technician.

I am very dissatisfied with CHW. We called in on August 24th. The day the disposal broke. It took 5 days and 2 phone calls to get the job done. When it was supposed to be a 24 hour turn around time. The tech was very nice. Did a clean job. Why was our claim denied???? We paid you guys in full for 39 months of service. This is the way you treat your customers. Denying their work requested. We would like to know why you are not paying for this service. The tech did a great job.

My freezer stopped working and I contacted Choice and within 30 minutes they had a tech contact me. Since it is a Subzero refrigerator/freezer not everybody knows how to work on it. The tech came and diagnosed the problem, ordered the broken part and I am up and running. I am so grateful to Choice who made this a pleasant experience and Harry at Ace of Las Vegas was great and so knowledgeable. Having had other home warranty companies in the past I will remain a loyal customer to Choice who by far is the best. I am so grateful.

I have been customer since 2017, maybe 2 claims, then when I have a real problem they refuse to pay. I am counseling my policy. I had to pay 400 of my own money to have it fixed. I do not recommend this co.

After I explained to Julian that I was transferred to 3 people which he was the 3rd one I was speaking to after I explained to him abt the transfers I had just experienced and if he was to transfer me to another department and I had to explain myself a third time I was going to cancel the policy. He then took the time to type in what my concern was before he transferred me the next person did know what I was calling about and after she researched the info I was calling about everything was rectified.

The service call was initiated for a central air conditioning issue. Water was not flowing thru the regular pipe, but through the overflow pipe. AirPro Technician was polite and skillful and knew how to address the issue and got it fixed. We are very satisfied with the experience!

Technician was awesome and worked promptly and air was working very quickly...Must add that the first tech that came to service the same AC unit in 2020 said it was about time to replace soon..And this tech this wk said the same and said any day now. The unit uses the R22 banned refrigerant ..I hope that Choice will be able to replace it when needed..But svc was great!

Fixed the dryer in no time. I am getting NO hot water at all. There is a sensor needs to be replaced. They are to notify me about part, by E mail. I haven't heard anything since. The technician was here. I spoke with someone at Statewide Appliance & was told the part is not available. I should be getting an E Mail from Choice Home Warranty. No response.

I hate Choice. I had an air conditioning issue in May, and I reached out to them as I was supposed to. I filed the claim and they had difficulty finding a service person for me. They found a service person after I complained several times. They said there was someone coming here. I called that service person and he said, “I don't work for that company anymore. They're horrible.” So I was unable to ever get a service person to come out.
Choice said there was a process whereby you can get the repair on your own and then submit for reimbursement, but you have to take pictures. They didn't tell me what kind of pictures I needed so I got some pictures but I didn't know what pictures to take so I took pictures of the inside of the old unit. I had it replaced but now I'm having difficulty getting the reimbursement that I'm due. The maximum reimbursement is $3,000 and I want it all because they weren't able to provide the service.
This has happened in the past but it hasn't been as difficult as this. Some of the other things I've used them for were plumbing-related and I've had one or two times where somebody was supposed to be coming but they didn't come. But for the most part, I got what I needed fix. But this air conditioning service was the worst. The prime reason why I got Choice was that I knew my air conditioning system was older and it would need servicing.
The other thing is that when you try to call Choice, it's very difficult to get a person. When you get a person, they have this loop talking that they do. They would say, “Oh, well, yeah. We don't do that.” Then you gotta wait. It's ridiculous. You don't get to talk to people. I asked for a supervisor but I wasn't able to get one. I wound up having called the corporate offices, which is also very difficult to find out who. I got ahold of some person who told me about the reimbursement process and why it wouldn't be a problem, and yet it still is. So I'm not happy.

My claim for fixing my dryer was never completed even though I paid the $65.00 to the man you sent out. Then never heard back and you wouldn’t refund my deductible and neither would the guy you sent out!!!! I had to buy a new dryer!!!!

Customer Service Representative Speaks English. The representative was very helpful explaining plans to me. He respected the fact that I was Retired Army. Deal provided are good for Veterans. People don't mind paying for services that will actually meet needs. The plan explained to me was cheaper than I am paying now to AHS.

I had plumbing issues in my home and the service was excellent and professional. It took two days to complete as the parts had to be ordered. However, the items were available the very next day. I would certainly recommend CHOICE to friends and families.

My problem is with Choice, it took a week and half to get a repair man to my house. This is unacceptable. You need to get better response times period. Having to do everything by computer makes your company very unfriendly. We need to be able to to a human.

My AC unit was not cooling. They checked it and got it working. They also found a leak in the condenser that can not be fixed. So they are saying I will need to put a new AC unit in and Choice Warranty just sent me an email saying it was approved.

My toilet had been constantly running which resulted in an extremely high water bill for me. The technician had to replace a part. The issue was corrected and repaired. The toilet has stopped constantly running. I am very satisfied with the technician's service.

I have problems with my refrigerator and my built in microwave. I call the Choice Home Warranty and they send a technician to fix the problem. The guy came to my house twice to fix the problem but he can’t fix it he said it’s not fixable and call home warranty again today and they are still saying the same guy will come and fix the problem. But the guy said it’s not fixable when I talk to him today so it is **. I don’t recommend the Choice Home Warranty to anyone. The company **. Freaking stupid idiot.

This was a very good experience. A timely response from Choice Home Warranty and the repairmen for the leaking son and leaking freezer. They demonstrated wonderful flexibility in hailing the appointments to serve my convenience and took extra care to remove all old parts and trash.

When I signed up they said they would send me a hard copy of my contract. After almost 3 months I just received 1 of my contracts. I have 2 houses. Every time I call I get a different person. I have the # of the person I signed up with but have never been able to get him. Honeymoon/out whatever have the back up # and he is never there. Not happy with the money offer they gave me to replace my dishwasher. After 3 weeks have not received check.

The gentleman who repaired the toilet was professional and efficient. It took an appropriate amount of time and he was on time. I have not always had good experiences with Choice and have considered terminating with the company but today I can say the experience was good.

Choice Home Warranty did not honor the warranty agreement. The technician that arrived could not get approval from Choice Home Warranty for a simple valve repair job. We paid the technician the full amount with no credit from Choice. Surprised and very dissatisfied!!!

I was hesitant to sign up for this service because I had several units that were "old" but still functional. I was deeply concerned about the coverage in case I needed repairs. Well the oven broke and deemed unrepairable. The "replacement payment" was underwhelming. I'll reevaluate this offering.

Tech found the problem. The heater came on when the air was on. Fixed it temporarily but is coming back Thursday. I am very happy it was fixed within 48 hrs. My daughter said a friend of hers had her air broke down and her warranty with someone else took several days to get fixed. You guys have come thru with all my claims fast.

The claim was put in for plumbing. The first company sent to my house had no plumbing background or knowledge. They did not have plumbing tape to fix the shower head they removed. They only wanted cash or cash sent with an app that my bank would not send the money through due to high amount of fraud on the app my bank flagged the company as fraud. For the first time using the warranty this did not give me a good feeling. I called the next day to bring this up and was told by the person who answered the phone that all companies are vetted. The second person who came out had to fix what the first company did and addressed the issue. Don’t understand why I had to pay several times and to open a wall to address the leak. I said I would open the wall and was not allowed I was told. The true plumber is the reason that I gave the rating.

He came on time between the time span promised and fixed air conditioner with a capacitor included in the basic charge. Cold air came out right away after he replace it on one of the two air conditioners in the house.

This was the first time I had filed a warranty claim with Choice. The website was easy to access and submitting claim online was easy. Within an hour or two I received an email with a service appointment details. The appointment was 3 days after the day I filed claimed (Friday morning). I called the customer service of the garage door company Winston Doors to ask for an earlier appointment but there wasn't any available on a weekend. I called Choice to ask if they had any other company in Dallas area who would fix my garage door over the weekend since I could not get my 2 cars out of the garage (single motor double door ). I was told there aren't any other and I had got the earliest appointment available. Well, it was very disappointing.
On Monday the technician from Winston Doors arrived and replaced the spring in about 30 minutes and it was operational. 4 star for ease of submitting claim and reliable technician who serviced the door at the appointed time. 1 star less because I expected at least 24 hrs turnaround for emergency situations. I hope for my next home equipment emergency I will have a better experience and give 5 stars.

Choice has saved me a lot of money. They rebuilt my hot water tank and repaired my washing machine twice. They also repaired my dryer, my AC, my dishwasher, and my refrigerator. They also replaced my freezer, my microwave and my three fans. The $600 that I pay 600 over the year always balances out. The claims process is very easy. You just log into the website, click on the email to initiate a claim, put down the information, and within 24 hours, you will receive an email or phone call giving you the names and the dates of the appointment from the technician.
The technicians were professional. They come in and do an assessment, and then they have to reach out to Choice to get some type of approval. I get another email and a phone call, telling me the next appointment when the tech is going to complete the repair. They usually try to come back within a couple of days. The only one time that was a long wait was when they repaired my hot water tank. They had to order the part and it took almost three weeks.

Refrigerator went down, then freezer on a Friday evening. Request for service made online, and a contractor took/assigned service call. Not available until Wednesday morning. Called contractor direct and asked for earlier appointment. None available, but put on call list if cancellation occurred. Contractor (IHN) was very courteous and understanding as I explained that I had medication that needed to be kept cold. Technician called Monday morning that a cancellation had occurred and could come out in about an hour. Tech analyzed the problem very quickly and went to truck to get needed part and install. Advised us to leave refrigerator/freezer of for 24 hours to allow ice block to melt, drain and dry out. Was very thorough in explaining the problem. After 24 hours, turned unit back on and in about 5 hours both refrigerator/freezer were cool enough to reload. Appears to be working fine now. Highly recommend IHN as technician.

The water dispenser in our refrigerator was not distributing water properly. My wife and I are both 74 and rely heavily on the filtered water from the fridge. The Sears repairman saw the problem and immediately knew how to resolve it. However he did not have the part at that time. He had to order it and another appointment was scheduled. I trust that the next visit will repair the problem. I recommend Choice Warranty from this experience.

I put the request on Thursday 8/25/22. Got the email on 8/26/22 that "We found a vendor in Denton" who will be coming on 8/29/22. I asked you folks this an urgent issue. My wife has Cardiac issues. But you did not care. I could have same company earlier if you have given me permission to find a Air condition mechanic. But you all said "we are looking". Think about you mother or any of your family member with serious medical condition and go without air condition for 3 days? Is it a good service? Decide youself. There is no doubt the Airserv Denton did an excellent service. But you need to be more aggressive in finding a vendor ASAP to provide an efficient service. Thanks.

The salesperson was very rude. If you record calls please listen to this call for new policy number ** I said I didn't want the 6 year plan 3 times and he kept going. He also told me my plan would be the same at the new address and sold me on paying for a year to save money then I see the monthly service fee goes up by paying the full year when I get the email from him. He sounds like he is reading a script and to me it seems like he works on commission and could care less about your company and the way you are betrayed.

My A/C went out in late August in west Texas, later learning that the capacitor was bad and needed replacing. I made my claim online around 7:30am and before noon Choice had sent a HVAC tech to my house and fixed my A/C within an hour. The tech was polite and tidy, very professional. Most people were skeptical when I told them I got a home warranty policy. They would say it's a scam or they won't take care of you when you need help with x,y,z. Normally my A/C would have cost me upwards of $500 to fix and I only had to pay my service fee. My experience with Choice Home Warranty exceeded my best expectations! I could not be happier with my choice and it's comforting to know that if and when things break I am covered.

My refrigerator was not keeping cold. The tech came and evaluated the situation, then told me what the problem was. He then went to work and fixed the problem. My Choice Home Warranty Plan is the best. When you file a claim Choice immediately accept your claim, and you get your needed information right away. I already recommended my daughter (Tangee **), and my sister (Kay **). Both of them signed up the same day that I introduced them to Choice Home Warranty. I always speak highly about my Choice Home Warrant plan. Please keep up the good work. My daughter cancelled her American Home Shield Plan and signed up with Choice Home Warranty.

CHW is stealing people money. You make a claim on what you think is wrong. Tech comes out and advise what the problem is and can fix the problem but first he/she must get permission first from CHW. CHW denies claim and request you to submit another claim. CHW states you have to pay another svc fee. In the meantime, your problem is getting worst. This is not good business and it makes me feel CHW is stealing money and taking advantage of the consumers.

My air conditioner broke. I sent in a service request and the next day in the morning a technician came and fixed it. It was the quickest service I had had since it was kinda emergency. My house's temperature was 91 degree when the AC broke so we had to open all windows to get some air but it was difficult sleeping. Choice stood up to the task. Thank you Choice! The initial contractor confirmed for a time slot that was different from the information being provided by CHW. This presented a conflict, but to make matters worse, he came a half hour earlier than he confirmed. Which then made the service delayed by me having to wait another 4 days. Ansel R, the workman who arrived at my home contacted me prior to arriving and gave me his ETA. He had a smiling countenance so was easy to communicate with. I was able to explain to him the reason why I contacted Choice Home Warranty Company. He took a look at the system and determined he needed to look at the outside part of the system . After examine the part of the system he was able to determine the cause of the issues I was experiencing so was able to make the necessary repairs. He was professional throughout the entire time he was there. He went back indoors, rechecked the system prior to starting the repairs. He felt satisfied with his accomplishment and that the system was working, that the temperature on the unit was satisfactory and that the unit was running and working. I would request his service I ever need A/C device. No regrets. He is an asset to his company and to Choice Home Warranty.

Also, when the air conditioner wasn’t working, the contractor came out right away to fix it. The contractor was very professional and they did a great job. I'm very happy with them. We were out of service for more than 2 weeks in August. We received the same auto generated replies when we emailed. When we get tried to reach a representative, the first one lied and stated we could not speak to a supervisor and continued to read off the same reply as what we were getting. Although the request for service was supposedly expedited, it in no way facilitated quicker service. A second representative promised a supervisor would call within 24 hours. That did not happen either. Finally we were assigned a claims specialist.
After 3 calls and another 4 or 5 days, we were again told that it was going to be an expedited dispatch. Wednesday we received notice that the repair would occur Thursday. Within minutes the technician called to reschedule for Friday. CHW emailed the time as between 11 and 3. I called the technician after 3 pm to find out when he was planning on coming. I was told he was at least 2 hours out. Shortly after 5, he arrived and within 20 minutes had the repair made. The whole experience was unprofessional and was not handled in a reasonable amount of time. I would never recommend this home warranty to anyone!

Choice Home Warranty (CHW) denied my claim for my broken dryer; a plastic part broke on the control board, rendering the dryer unusable (it would not start). I now understand it was because I didn't identify the problem prior to the failure of a plastic switch activator on the control board. I believe the failure was caused by fatigue failure, but since it actually failed CHW would not cover the repair.
On appeal, I had a good conversation with CHW's representative who explained their policy of not covering parts that fail, only situations where something appears to be failing. CHW's representative was professional, pleasant, but firm, and is working towards a settlement of one-half the repair cost to them. In my opinion, the policy applied to my claim is troubling in that the failed part could not be inspected prior to failure without disassembling the dryer, so I would not know when it was about to fail and be able to file a timely claim. I am considering canceling my policy with them as it appears I am unlikely to have parts that fail repaired.

My washing machine began banging and moved several inches as well as creating noise that was unknown to me. I called Choice for the first time in the afternoon. The technician was at my home the next morning and by the afternoon I had a Choice of receiving a new washing machine of their choosing or a gift card from Lowe's to purchase my own machine. 6+ weeks no working refrigerator - This company is a joke, they do not have care or concern for their customer's circumstances. This company will have you rely on them only to let you down time & time again based on co: policy. How can anyone in good faith entrust their home & $ to CHW (Choice Home Warranty). 1. Claim placed Mon, Jun 13, 2022 - Appointment Date: Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 (Service Tech no call no show). 2. 1st appointment rescheduled - Appointment Date: Sunday, July 24th, 2022 (Appointment Time: 11:00 AM -03:00 PM). 3. Service tech misses appointment window.
4. Service Tech puts in a claim for parts after taking in-person payment. 5. Aug 1st CHW emails and offer partial payout via Lowes Gift card with up to 30 days delivery via email. 6. Aug 29th almost 30 days from payout offer and over 6 weeks with no working refrigerator I call. 7. I get told to wait for the e-gift card, I say this is poor service and it has been too long and up to 30 days is stretching it.
8. The issue is escalated and a check is offered but will take an additional 30 days and is for the same amount of the gift card (less than half of what it will cost to get a new refrigerator). 9. The representative delivered 0% help in solving my issue and only explained how it was waiting or hurry up and wait as an option. 10. I ended the call, l in no better state than I had started, frustrated, disappointed, and without a working refrigerator. This company charges similar prices and deductibles as other companies in the industry and has raised rates as well as deductibles as other companies have done over the last 24 months but has yet to raise the quality of service that it provides its customers. I would not recommend this company to anyone I love, care for, or admire.

Online representative was very short and didn't listen to my needs. All he wanted to do was to sell me more years on my plan when I told him all I was interested in was a one-year deal. He also hung up on me in the middle of my last question. Very rude and not a great way to start off with a new customer. I hope your service is better than your salespersons.

Our dishwasher went out on a Sunday. My husband completed the claim form online, which was seamless. This morning I received an email stating our service has been schedule for tomorrow. One thing I'm not wild about is they gave a range of 8 a.m. to 5 pm. for the service. This makes it hard when both spouses work. Luckily I live close to my home and have some flexibility in my schedule. I'll post again after the service experience!

Called it in on Sunday afternoon. Haven’t heard anything yet. It’s in the high 80’s here in Texas so A/C is important. The system is only one year old since this is a new house. We’re senior citizens so A/C is important.

I can't comment on the tech that arrived; however I must start by saying, we pay a large amount to be a part of CHW and the results thus far have been poor to fair. The last claim was for a leaky furnace, it was listed as AC issue. The appointment was set for 8-25-2022, 3-8 the Tech (after many calls and text on my part) arrived on 8-27-2022 after 5pm. The reason the tech said was due to weather (we had no inclement weather) and the problem was inside.

Up until recently, Choice hasn't been a problem. But this last service call that I had, it took over a week for them to be able to schedule anybody. The service company they scheduled never showed up. I found that the next day. I got in touch with the service person, he told me that he screwed up and had his times mixed up. He was going to come today by one o'clock. But he didn't show up either again today. I called him and he informed me that his company is no longer working with Choice Home Warranty. Everyone left me high and dry. I called Choice yesterday when he didn't show up and they said they would get on it. But they never did. They never called me back. Today, I called them again and told them what happened. They haven't reassigned anybody yet, but I got an email from them. This had been going on for over a week.

Refrigerator is uneconomical to repair and heard nothing from Choice!!! This has been going on since the 4th of Aug, when I submitted the claim!!! I just have renewed my warranty and have used it one time before with no problems.

I was pleased with the service I received from the technician in that he diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. A little disappointed that the warranty didn't cover anything that needed fixing after having to wait 4 days for the problem being resolved.

Air Conditioner would not operate. The thermostat worked intermittently for several weeks and then quit working. The serviceman said that the thermostat is inoperable. He applied a temporary fix to the unit until the thermostat can be replaced. He was very professional and helpful. We are hoping for a permanent repair for this problem. Updated on 08/30/2022: Bought this warranty from you in good faith. Sorry it was not returned on your part. Put a band-aid on my problem which I have been informed by 3 different techs it will not last, causing me to have to deal with it again in the near future.
Original Review: Can not do a fair review until my claim is finished. At the present time my feeling it is not going to be a satisfactory outcome. Will have to wait and see if it gets fixed or put on a bandaid approach.. which it appears that is your choice.

I’ve had CHW since 2020 when I bought my home. My first full year with the company was pretty lackluster (and the year that the seller paid for). I only needed to place one claim for the whole year and my experience was not a positive one. I almost didn’t renew for 2022 because I had some unsatisfactory experiences with previous techs and customer service interactions in 2021 as well. However, this year has been the best experience with CHW. Each tech they’ve sent has been knowledgeable about the performed service and working with the warranty company. I am pleased in the shift in service. As long as my service calls continue in this way, I am scheduled to renew next year.

It is hard to rate my experience because Dave the Sears Service tech who was sent to our house for the service call was Awesome. However my experience so far overall with Choice Warranty has not been so great. It takes them too long to get us a service contractor to our house to fix issues. ☹️ We paid for a contract with Choice Home Warranty to make things easier and try and save some money on repairs. It has taken them a month and a half to get us a service contractor to our house to assess the issues we were having with our Samsung refrigerator. Parts have been ordered finally so we shall see how this ends once they have been replaced. I hope to give a good rating once completed.

I was very impressed with the company and technicians that came to my residence to service my air conditioning unit. They responded very soon after I submitted the service request and were very professional. They were able to answer all questions and also gave advice and suggestions.

The sign up process was easy. I wanted a few questions answered because of negative reviews I have read, and the person was very friendly and answered all my questions. I came to find out they have a new system in place which addresses all the negative comments. Bad service from the technicians that come to your house, items not being repaired, or replaced, only getting $250 to replace items that cost a lot more, and so on.
One thing to remember, if an item is still under warranty, they won’t cover it until warranty has expired. That only makes sense. Also, since I called, he reduced my monthly payment to $46.50 a month. You will not find a better warranty anywhere. The only negative is you don’t see the contract on what’s covered and what’s not until it’s purchased. I wish they would change that. There is a 30 day wait period which is standard for all companies. I haven’t had to use the service, so I can’t comment on that.

The technician went above and beyond to make sure everything was working exactly how it needed to be. He changed the springs on my garage oiled the tracks and made sure the garage force was on the right settings. He saved me so much time so glad I went with Choice instead of trying to do it myself!

My a/c went out on Saturday evening. It was 92o in the house!. I placed a claim with Choice right away and the technician, Alpha ** came out as promised on Monday afternoon. They ordered parts and came back Tuesday and completed the job. Soon cold air was circulating … And they even came back the following day, just to double check and ensure everything was going as expected; there were no issues. They were friendly and efficient! They were great to do business with!

The transformer went out in the furnace and it had to be replaced because there was no power going from the AC to the thermostat. The tech did what he needed to do. He was laidback and cool. I've had Choice for a few months now and I like the monthly payment. It’s much cheaper than what I had before and the actual service fee was cheaper also.

You offered $343 to replace a washer, and then you had the unmitigated nerve to insinuate that you were doing me a favor offering the cash. Your agent with whom I spoke STATED that you were estimating value based on wholesale prices. Your contract DOES NOT support this claim. If you could buy a replacement wholesale and I have to pay for it retail, then you would in fact be doing ME a favor if you bought the replacement for me. We both know, however, that giving me the insufficient cash is cheaper and easier for YOU.
The hype that your agent spewed about how all the "special" features of my old machine were now standard, thereby providing an excuse for a lower offering price was a laughable explanation. I fully admit that I was guilty of not reading your multitudinous disclaimers, but the bottom line is that YOU know as well as I now know that your glaring announcement that you will "repair or replace" is hogwash.
Even your rebate, from which of course you deduct any monies you've paid out, is really a scam. You give no credit for the $130 it cost me to have a repair person come (for the first time since I've had the policy). The $130 I spent was because my dishwasher (for which you allowed $246) was also broken. One service call (after a week and a half), but two charges. Thus, you are ending up "giving" me $459 to replace a washer and dishwasher; in what Universe is that repairing or replacing?

Called on a Monday and the technician notified me the next day. I sat an appointment time for Wednesday. He showed up on time. Diagnosed my problem. Found a defective compressor capacitor. I'm so blessed to have this company. I had a wonderful experienced with them, so Far so good. They've changed my AC unit with a new one. I've paid 2300 for uncovered things but it's fine with me rather than spending 6 to 8 thousand for an AC System. Their customer service are so responsive and helpful. Service is very good, website is very user friendly. Service is fast. The only complaint I have that most of the time the service company doesn’t have the parts available even when parts are small and easy to install. Right now I have the need of my dryer because I just had a kidney transplant and need to wash and dry my clothes, sheets, towels every day. I can’t because it’s taking so long for the tech to come back to fix it.

Technician was professional and courteous however, claim specialist(s) was instructed client needed nine (9) electrical receptacles replaced and sent email documentation confirming this would be issue resolved. Upon technician conference with Choice Warranty representative only one receptacle authorized. Client "extremely dissatisfied" with authorization! Starting 8/29/2022 will be performing options.

My claim to repair the AC unit was denied as CHW said it takes time for a compressor to fail. The reason I went with a home warranty is that the advertisement said many items fail with time. So I would like to have a tech look at my other AC unit and let CHW that it is in working condition so that if it were to ever fail CHW would be content that it was in warranty and I would have confidence that CHW would honor the claim, unlike previously.

I have had both good and bad experiences with Choice. Like most companies their customer service is hard to deal with. The service techs they send out are hit and miss on what they can do or even know what to do. If they send a factory service company they seem to work the best. My last claim was a success so far, hope my refrigerator is really fixed this time. It was not the last time a year ago. As far as companies ho Choice for the price seems as good as any.

The technician that did my plumbing repair was outstanding. He quickly assessed the problem, explained what needed to be done, retrieved the parts required for the repair from the service van, and got started. He had difficulty gaining access to the area that needed repair but worked diligently to finish the job.
