Appreciated how quickly my claim was addressed and appointment with VIP Appliance was scheduled. Repair has been completed. Would really have liked to replace the dishwasher but hopefully it will be quieter with new pump. Repairman was friendly and punctual.

Christian from Conduit Electric LLC provided excellent service. Very commutative and resolved the issue promptly. Schedule was with ease and arrival was accurate. Had outlets go out in our bedroom and it blew out all the electricity throughout the room. Put the order in late Sunday and they were here on Tuesday. Very happy.

Plumber never showed, I was assigned a window of 3-8 pm today and received no call that it was not going to happen. I am disappointed and would like to request the use of the option of choosing my own plumber that has been recommended to me. Company name is Express Plumbing, ** Mr. Cory **. please respond ASAP to this request. Urgent. I'm a senior and have arthritis and dipping and dumping toilet is difficult.

Taking too long to complete. Meanwhile, I keep paying every month. Please improve communication between you and the repair companies. I literally had to go back and forth to have a technician come out with the proper introductions on the work order so there's no confusion with the owners. God bless.

I am disappointed there is no "zero" star. First experience with the company. First off I've created a ticket over a week ago but they never dispatched any technician because they could not find anyone. They offered me to hire my own and use their claim system. I had a combination of problems: faulty GFI, faulty breaker and a loose connection in the GFI. Because the electrical technician mentioned there was some wire connection problems in the the GFI, they denied the entire $450 claim saying this is not normal wear and tear. My intention to hired a warranty company was to fix issues around the house no matter the nature of the problem. This is a scam. They convinced me to make a 3 year deal giving a discount but it cost me over $1,000 for the warranty and now I just spent another $450 on top that. Stay as far as possible from Choice.

They decided that they would replace the dishwasher and they would send me a eCard to Lowe's but it would take a month! So I'm without a dishwasher for a whole month. Plus, the amount that they are offering would probably not buy the same brand or quality. I thought the technician was really good though.

I filed a claim on Friday and 24hours later an email Was sent implicating a reimbursement option so I reviewed it, but never indicated the search would end. So I called on Monday to help keep on the status at which time they indicated once I clicked I was on my own. So now I start my search who need another 48hrs to respond. When I relayed that I was TOLD CHOICE IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE, WELL IT WOULDN'T be a emergency. Well your process created the emergency. NOW IF I GET A REPAIR SERVICE TO RESPOND I HAVE TO WAIT 30 DAYS GET REIMBURSED. Shouldn't be the only answer. Your inability to fulfill your promise shouldn't be at my cost.

I think the salesperson we worked with was, of course very friendly, but he was well spoken and knew the plan, its limitations, exceptions and benefits and cost. We feel good about the plan we purchased. At our age having the peace of mind of a home warranty coverage for our entire home at the rate we pay is simply great.

The agents I spoke to were pleasant and helpful. They gave me a deal on my premium the transferred me to a claim agent. The claim agent helped me to enter an old claim that was never finished and which I had never followed through. He explained I would have to submit a new claim which I expected. He submitted a new claim for me.

I called for repair on my fridge, rec'd email that a tech has been assigned, Harrison J Appliance Repair. Called to confirm with them, left voice mail, no response, No Show for appt.! Called CHW, they scheduled 2nd appt with same co, again they were a No Show! Advised CHW again, they reassigned to RJ APPLIANCE REPAIR. RJ was very timely, came and diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and was back in 2 days with parts, and repaired my fridge (wasn't cooling). Also, asked my why I had ice trays in the freezer, told him I had called CHW at least 18 months ago, they sent a ding a ling repair person, who told me it couldn't be fixed! RJ said yes it can, and it repaired it at the same time! So I have to say RJ is a winner company! And Harrison J in Simpsonville SC should be deleted from CHW!!!

We had some real flakes out to begin with. Not only were they out 3 times and couldn't get it right, they bad mouthed Choice. I reported our experience and Choice got someone almost the next day. Fixed the first time. They were so good and courteous, we had they do the plumbing for our new shower.

I had a problem with my AC. Lennox is known for having faulty Evap Coils and the replacement coil (replaced after it failed two years ago) failed again. Choice covered the labor and Freon costs and after 3 brutal days of no AC in 90 degree heat, it was back up and running with a new coil. Once Choice had all the information it was a rapid response. I was able to use a local company that could timely respond to my situation. My Choice rep was great helping me too, since you cannot talk to someone, you can only use email.

I have been a CHW customer for 4 years. I have been generally satisfied with their service, although a few of my claims have not been covered. I can definitely applaud their speed with getting me an appointment with a technician. I have also been satisfied with the technicians they have sent! Where I have not been satisfied is with their appliance replacement policies. My dishwasher gave out, I made a claim, and the technician recommended replacing the unit. I received an offer of a Lowes gift card for an amount that was less than half of the price of a new comparable model of dishwasher. I did some research on prices and asked for a new offer as the amount offered by CHW was over $100 less than what it would take to purchase even the very cheapest dishwasher available from Lowes.
I was assigned a representative to speak to, whose closest appointment available was 5 days away. I called and she, thankfully took the time to speak to me that day. She was very kind. She told me that CHW will only offer the wholesale price for a new appliance, what they could purchase it for. I asked if they could purchase me one at the wholesale price and was told no. I asked if I could purchase one through them at the wholesale price and was told no.
My only option was to accept the low offer in Lowes (not wholesale) gift cards and was told there would be no way for me to get more money added to the offer. I begrudgingly accepted, because at least the amount helped, but then received the notification that it could take up to 30 days to receive the gift card. I am very seriously considering cancelling my warranty. Although the policy can be great for repairs, the policies for replacement of an appliance are not fair to the consumer.

The tec. that checked our system was very knowledgeable and showed me the problem. He was unaware of the fact that I have been waiting for almost a week. He apologized for the wait and explained that they have office issues. All I could do was to agree and understood the problem that sometimes exist in any company. Other than waiting so long everything else was good.

Troy was OK. My thoughts for Troy was he knew his stuff but I thought he was a little pushy and he talk really fast and I think he needs to slow down and not be so pushy because it can be a deterrent to buy something. Once I found out that Troy was legit then I felt a little better to go ahead with the purchase of the warranty. Checking the reviews online is really one of your best options to make sure that the service you’re looking for has good reviews which is why I chose Choice warranty.

Technically they got the unit cooling again. Did not get a document outlining the work. I also did not get a receipt for the $85. I thought I should have received them. Other than that it was a Great visit.

I filed a new claim for a broken (off) handle in my shower. I'm not sure why your emails don't stand out but it took me days to realize I received an email with a reimbursement option. I have a home warranty so I can avoid paying those costs. I have no cold water in my shower for 4 days now. If the system is going to be completely a reimbursement process, the monthly fees need to be lowered and there needs to be some type of process to ensure items are covered before I spend thousands on repairs.

Had repair issues with plumbing, water heater and cloth dryer. All these issues were promptly attended by CHW. However, the plumbing & water heater technician was not courteous and did not do a good job, and to live with his unsatisfactory repair. But, dryer tech did an excellent job. CHW should engage good technicians to attend repairs. I am definitely & reasonably satisfied with CHW service.

C- We are currently in Limbo, over needed wk).
We have a 6 yr. paid in advance plan. I was told we could use any contractor. Turns out That is NOT true UNLESS if we paid 100% out of our pocket or the contractor performs A specific PROCESS, (which no contractor we contacted would do.- Saying the process is Not possible to complete in a practical cost-effective timely manner.)

I came home a week ago Friday to a puddle of water in front of my freezer. Food thawing. Immediately placed a claim with CHW and earliest appointment was the next week on Wednesday! Repair person was knowledgeable and on time and quickly diagnosed it as ANOTHER LG linear condenser failure. Instead of replacing a horridly cheap and defective model CHW has opted to repair. Had all the parts sent to my house including 2 at an "upgrade" that they don't cover but I have to raising my cost to over $150 including the $45 visit charge and the parts didn't arrive until Saturday. Earliest next appointment: Thursday 2 full weeks after it went down.
I have lost over $500 in food that will cost more than $1000 to replace at today's inflated prices. The cost of eating out for over 2 weeks and replacing an entire fridge/freezer of lost food is way more than a new refrigerator but CHW isn't the least bit concerned with that. You would think a broken fridge would be a priority but apparently nothing is. You get the "covid" troubles excuses.

Choice Warranty is a great warranty company. If they can't fix it they will replace it. When call or put in a claim they get right on. That's call good service. Just like my washer wasn't operating properly. They're going to replace it.

Choice handled my pool issue professionally. Within 24 hrs., I was contacted by a company that came out to examine the problem. Choice gave permission to fix problem. Within a week the pool motor and plate were replaced. Thank you for agreeing to cover the cost to fix the problem.

Once you settled on a repair service., They were prompt and came out and review the problem. They returned a few days later to fix the problem because the unit was froze up at the time. The only complaint I have is the group collected the co-pay twice, once for my wife on their first trip and then from me on the second trip. When I asked if my wife had paid when they first came up they said not yet. They cashed both checks.

Have used Choice for a few repairs over the years and have been pleased each time. Service Tech arrives in a reasonable amount of time and the process has been painless. I used to work for a different Home Warranty Company and I saw this company try to deny claims as often as possible. I have never had this issue with Choice.

When this home warranty was purchased it was supposed to be “fix or replace”. After the technician told us it couldn’t be fixed, Choice did NOT replace the machine rather offered me a $246 Lowe's eGift card. The machine that was supposed to be replaced was $1800 retail price. While the customer service representative was able to up the eGift card to $591, that is still nowhere near the amount needed to replace my machine. Or even one half the price!! All justifications made by your support team spelled out bait and switch. Why would someone pay for your service only to LOSE money. There should be no circumstance where your customer is WORSE off for having had your services. Basically you are all criminals and should be shut down for bluntly lying to your customers. The BBB will be hearing from me and they will get all my evidence.
If you have the slightest sense of what proper business practice is, you will contact me to make things right. The disservice you have provided will be talked about on all social media accounts and in basically every social setting I can think of. Again, if you would like to make things right, please call me with something even a little bit closer to replacing my $1800 machine. Great experience. I received a text saying the tech was on his way, he arrived on time, clean and professional. He asked some questions, went to work, had the part in the van, installed it. Then tested the system. He was finished and gone in 30 minutes.

Our AC unit was not working. Choice Home Warranty quickly found a company to come help us. The company Olive Air and Heating was amazing and knowledgeable and was able to fix our unit. This is the second time we had this issue, the first company that came out helped but only for two weeks, the second time around was great.

It's been 4 days and they still don't have anyone to fix my A/C, we live in Arizona and it's still warm here, they said I can hire someone and get reimbursed, but talking to two different A/C places they won't do it for the price you will pay and I have to pay the difference.

Other than taking 4 days to get a plumber to arrive after I initially made a distress (urgent) call for help to the Choice Warranty line, forcing me to do everything I could to regain some use of my kitchen. The “Unstopper” plumber was awesome, very professional and got the (by this time) remainder of the obstruction cleared in no time.

Demar from Desert Rain Plumbing showed up on time. He replaced my 16 year old garbage disposal. He cleaned up and left my kitchen as he found it. He vacuumed up all of the rust. Upon inspection and using the new garbage disposal, he found a slow leak with the faucet that I was unaware was happening. He came back and replaced the kitchen faucet and my kitchen looks great. Demar is very professional and I would definitely recommend Desert Rain Plumbing.

I was satisfied with the replacement value of my microwave. However, it took about a week and now I have to wait up to 30 days for my e-card only useable at Lowes. In the meantime, I have a broken microwave. Not ideal.

I noticed the hot water heater started leaking 6 days ago on Sunday 09-11-22. I called CHW and they set up a technician to come out and evaluate. He was supposed to have been there Monday between 3:00 and 8:00. He never showed up. I contacted CHW who then reassigned the case to another company. That person showed up after the time window. By then I had already contacted a plumber I had used previously to do the job. The job was completed on Friday 09-16-22 by a plumber I hired. It had already been 5 days without hot water. Had I waited for the company from CHW, I would still not have hot water today.

The technician came out and checked the washer and said that the tub was bent and that he would turn the report in to you all. The washer would shake bad when it spun. He said that they would probably give me an allowance for a new machine because a new basket would be expensive. So HCW got in touch with me the next day and said that they couldn’t honor it because it wasn’t the normal wear and tear. So, I will not be renewing my contract! They have denied me before.

Plumber did excellent work, but I reported the stoppage on 7/18/22. ABQ came but the sink was plugged the next day. I called back on 7/21/22. From 7/18/22 to 9/10/22 I had to wash my dishes in 2 small aluminum pots, to wash and rinse. I am very dissatisfied with your service.

After repairs assessment, decision was to have appliance replaced. Compensation Offer/assistance in getting replacement was well less than half what amount that I can get a replacement for, even at a sale price. I have been with CHW for few years and also paid up for future years. I am extremely disappointed and wonder if I ought to consider ending relationship.

Once I reached a rep everything went smoothly. Your AI needs some tweaking. Call #1 - when I said "Whirlpool" for the refrigerator the AI said "this device is not covered" and terminated the call. Call #2 - same scenario the AI sent me to a rep. Some language recommendation - none of the options were for "request a repair." So I had to guess which option was correct - I guessed wrong once and could not get back to the main menu.

The only problems were that 1) they could not get out to the house for 3 days after order was placed; and 2) it took 2 days to repair because they had to get permission from Choice before they could replace the blower. I bought my home August 2022. Inspection report advised condenser should be cleaned because the drain pan was rusted. I submitted an invoice for this cleaning August 2022. September 2022, my evaporator coil broke & my AC wouldn't cool. 9.5.22 I submitted a claim because this is a very expensive fix. Everyday they asked for more information, which took a day to get another tech to come back, a day to review, and another day to get in touch for an answer. Everytime this happened, they asked for another item.
I had to harass my HVAC tech they sent to write a letter saying a drain pan was rusted and it wasn't the problem of why the coil broke. I ended up spending $300 for each tech to come out, $220 for a NEW DRAIN PAIN? And I'm on day 11 waiting to get my claim approved. It's 95 degrees where I live in Texas. Both techs that were sent stated, "I'm not sure why the warranty company needs you to get a new drain pan when it has nothing to do with the coil broken." 11 days. No AC. Why did I pay $500 to a warranty company that won't help me when a part to my AC breaks 30 days after I purchased my home built 6 years ago?

Updated on 06/17/2023: I contacted NV insurance board. They said it was out of their jurisdiction and gave me a manager's contact with CHW. She said they would not pay without proof of purchase, which I gave a copy of my receipt from the ac co. She said it needs to show a zero balance!!!! After several conversations back and forth, I sent a copy of the ac warranty. She then said they would only pay me $1500, the max they pay for reimbursements. I have had a previous dispute over my refrigerator and currently on my dishwasher. I was enticed by their warranty offer, 6yrs coverage for the price of 5 and $45 deductible, which I paid in full. The warranty shows all that is covered and then once you purchase their plan you receive another warranty coverage with all the exceptions. This co is so disreputable.
Original Review: For minor repairs or fixes, there is no problem with CHW sending someone to repair the problem. But when it is a major situation ie ac went out, normal wear and tear, clean but is 24yrs old way past average life span of an ac unit especially for Las Vegas. They rejected to replace the unit (non repairable) unable to get a case manager to follow up on my review. Had to go to NV insurance board to get attention to this matter. At this time I’m still working on getting this resolved.

I followed the guidelines of my contract, reporting my issue as required. I immediately received an email note stating that my request was received. However, it took over a week to get someone to the house to look at my AC unit that had quit working. Fortunately, I had a neighbor that was an AC Tech and he was able to get the unit running again. What's the point of having a warranty if it's going to take several days to work the issue? I know there are ways to get my own tech to come out and fix and get reimbursed, but isn't that defeating the purpose in a way after paying for a warranty? I'm doing all of the leg work! This is not the first time that I've had this type of issue with Choice Warranty....and the unit is still not 100%.

My AC unit went out. I called I believe on Tuesday. Nothing had happened come Friday so I called again and nothing happened until the following week. Finally someone showed up. Luckily it was only a fuse that had blown in the unit but we live in freaking Bakersfield where gets into triple digits and I told you I had a health issue and I needed a fixed priority. You never followed up with me in person. You never called me. You just sent me some prefab email that says I can cancel my request and get my own guy and then submit the bill to you guys to get reimbursed. Isn’t the whole point of having home warranty having you guys taking care of things correctly and promptly. I didn’t know it was only a fuse. I didn’t know if it was the thermostat or the unit itself so I didn’t know if I needed a AC guy or an electrician. You guys gotta do better if you wanna keep me as a client. Very disappointed. Would not recommend you to my worst enemy.

The plan seems to be a good plan for my mother's home. Nathaniel was a great Salesman. He talked me into buying a 6 year plan which I was not interested in. It made me feel a little suspicious with the pressure he used. The tech was good. Choice warranty is not a Good Warranty Company. The light fixture attached to my attached garage was not working and the light switch is inside my house, but Choice said they would not authorize the work, because the fixture is not a part of my house. That's a joke. My garage is attached to my house, and the switch to turn light on is inside my house. That was my 1st and only claim I had with Choice warranty company. I canceled my policy as a result of Choice action, and I do not recommend Choice to anyone...

The annual premium has paid for itself both years I've had the warranty. I've seen a lot of bad reviews on this company but I think they are unfair. This certainly seems like a reputable company to me and I am a retired legal professional 35 years in the legal field. It is not a scam company. My suspicion is that bad reviews were the result of the proper procedures and policies outlined in the contract were not followed causing issues with getting service or reimbursement. Too often I find people don't take the time to read the fine print and then they get angry when they hit a snag.
I've found I'm always able to reach customer service rep within a couple minutes. They are always cordial and helpful with providing information or solutions needed. Needed authorizations and pre approvals have been provided timely and I received reimbursement on both my claims thus far within 30 days as promised. They also have shown me they have a heart and some flexibility in unique situations too. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My air conditioner went out on Friday, and I filed a claim Friday evening. By the time I woke up on Saturday, a serviceman had been assigned to come to my condo yesterday, but I was given the opportunity to change the appointment if it wasn't convenient. He arrived on time after calling me first to say he was on his way. He told me what was wrong and came back and fixed it today. It was one of the easiest things I have ever dealt with!

Not sure if there is a better way for Choice to hold contractors accountable for making appointments on time. On several occasions I have had contractors miss appointments and never bother to call. Even when Choice called the contractor, they received no response. However, I have worked with some really good contractors who performed exceptional work and were very responsive. The Choice team is very helpful in working to resolve the situation but ultimately the responsibility is on the contractor.

Clothing was not dry when I turned on regular cycle. Smell burning when use towel mode. Technician from SOUTHERN APPLIANCE REPAIR introduced by Choice Home Warranty, he found problem with the thermometer inside dryer machine and replace the damage part. CHW is one of the biggest scam companies out in the market today. I put in a claim for a hot water heater and a gas oven stove and CHW refused to repair/or replace both appliances. Their reasons for denying the claims are so lame it insults one's common sense. The hot water heater was over 20 years old, and rust had accumulated on the inside base floor. After 20 over years of usage, what do you expect, it's old. As for as the gas oven stove, it had been working for over 30, before it finally broke down. Mind you a gas oven stove functioning for over 30 years. I want another one, unfortunately they no longer make that brand. You would think that any appliance lasting over 20 or 30 years would need to be replaced due to age and normal wear and tear. Do not bother to waste your time or money on Choice Home Warranty, you will only be upset and disappointed!!

Scheduling repairs was a frustrating and confusing process. I had more than one repair technician assigned. Technicians would be assigned and then re-assigned. The communication on my claim was not straight forward nor was it numeric. The technician that was finally scheduled was wonderful. The job was done and I had no hassles after a technician was finally scheduled. The process was explained to me and payment of my service fee was understood. After the process of scheduling a technician got settled it was smooth, easy and all my expectations met.

My AC unit stopped working on 09/12/2022. I had to hire my own technician to fix the unit. The process was easy. The Choice personnel were very helpful in looking for a technician to respond within 24 hrs but were unsuccessful.

Choice Home Warranty is the best. I would not trade it for nothing. When I have a problem with my appliances they were there for me the next day. I love that. Air Conditioner blew out late on a Friday, and they had somebody there on a Monday. Wow, what a release that was. I love Choice Home Warranty.

They deny claim after claim, looking for little loop holes. You cannot speak to a human. You can speak to someone who doesn't speak or understand English is you wait for over an hour. They do false advertisement and treat their customers like you are a village idiot. I cannot possibly say enough bad stuff about this company. PLEASE go elsewhere. They have law suits against them if you do your research!

I am new to warranties and Choice. And I have had to submit my first claim for my air conditioner which stopped working. Within 24 hours I was contacted by a technician who came out the next day and inspected my unit, took pictures, got on the phone with Choice and within another hour or so had obtained their decision. The claim was approved within 48 hours of submission. That's exceptional service. My AC unit was 20 years old. I expected to be responsible for additional expenses incurred because replacement things don't fit, need new parts which are not covered, and work to redo connections and ducting. That was confirmed, and now within 72 hours everything has been set in motion to get me air conditioning. Claim has been handled and approved beyond my very skeptical expectations.

Chris did an excellent job on my toilets. Cleaned as he went thru the process of changing the innards of both my toilet tanks. He is very meticulous about his job. He appeared to like what he is doing. And, knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone with a good excellent rating. Oh very punctual as well

After a difficult time having a correct diagnosis of what caused the a/c to stop working after installation of the electric panel and an a/c tech being sent out by Choice to see what was wrong with the a/c, the original electrician came back a second time to discover the problem was indeed with the electric panel installation and he fixed it.

There was an overflow of water from my system in the house that ran thru my wall into my family room. The service guy who came out assessed the issue, made the correction and all is good. He was very efficient and cordial. Would definitely recommend CHW. The service was excellent.

I don’t know whether it was me or ”the representative, but the person that I spoke with was not very patient in explaining the information that I needed to make my decision to sign up. A prospective customer needs to be informed of what they are getting. Perhaps the representative should’ve been more knowledgeable or more thorough. I have not utilized my warranty yet. I have just signed up, in spite of the questionable customer service.

Overall I’m definitely happy that I got the warranty and it’s already saved me a good amount of money. The tough thing is that my refrigerator broke, and they didn’t get someone out until 8 days later. That’s a long time without cold food. Additionally, once he came to see what the problem was, he had to order parts. So that was another 2 WEEKS before finally fixing the problem. That’s a pretty brutal turnaround on a broken refrigerator. I seem to recall during my buying experience them telling me it would only be 1-3 days for someone to come after a claim was submitted.

Technician's came out stated molding needed to be placed around the unit covering but had to contact CHW to get approval to complete. I paid the service fee but have not heard anything back. It appears that I am paying for an assessment of the issue and nothing is actually being repaired. Please advise why this seems to be an ongoing trend with the technicians I have assigned to my issues.

The first claim I filed the contractor ghosted us and CHW was none the wiser as they were seeking feedback on how the contractor performed. This was a bit disheartening that they were totally oblivious to this. I did refile the claim and this time the contractor that was assigned showed up when scheduled and did a great job solving our problem. Other than having mud on his shoes that tracked all through our house, we are happy with the results.

The Technician who came out to my home, was highly efficient, and very knowledgeable. He completed my repair quickly and completely. He even explained why leak occurred initially and he made suggestions to avoid the leak from ever happening again. He was friendly and courteous.

The person I spoke to went into his detailed sales talk and I listened for a while and then tried to interrupt him to tell him I was not interested and he would not respond to me, he just kept on with his spiel. False advertisement!!! Water heater parts covered but not actual tank! WOW why buy home insurance when we still have to pay out of pocket for tank and labor PLUS the deductible! On your TV ad with George Foreman he says if we can fix it we’ll replace it, NOT TRUE! I’ll make sure to inform other people we referred of our experience and I won’t refer anyone else.

Was referred to the resolution department who had my previous call in the system. Matter was resolved quickly and efficiently. Appreciated the helpfulness and consideration taken with my issue. The entire call took less than 5 minutes and they were even able to submit a new claim for me, necessitating me having to file the claim online or by phone.

I called Choice because my microwave went out. The technician was great. He was quick to respond. Choice decided to scrap the microwave and not fix it. The replacement amount was not even half of what a new microwave would cost and it was only in the form of a Lowe's gift card, which means I cannot even shop around for the best deal. I am very dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty.

They didn’t come at scheduled appointment day but called. They eventually took care of the problem. We were experiencing 109-degree weather at the time. It would have been better if they would have come when scheduled. It was miserable going for so long without A/C.

This was the third time that I have called to have a repair done to the garage door. Each a different problem. The first time I called, service was referred to Winston Garage Door, LLC. I was scheduled for four days out. They were a no-show. The next time, even though I requested a different vendor, Winston Garage Door, LLC was assigned. I was scheduled three days out. Again a no-show. When I called Choice Warranty, they called Winston and were told that they were busy and that they had tried to contact me. There is no record on my phone of any missed calls.
This last time, I again requested that Winston not be contacted to do my repair. AGAIN, Winston Garage Door, LLC was given the job. I called Choice Warranty to refuse to let them be assigned to my residence because of their unreliability. There has to be a system whereby a vendor can be flagged for a subscriber when there have been multiple complaints from the policyholder. By assigning an unreliable vendor and then having to reassign someone else, it delays the process of getting a home repair done in a more timely manner.
The operator who takes the original phone call is apparently unable to submit a request that the homeowner does not want a certain vendor. On a positive note, the personnel that I spoke with at Choice, were very professional and pleasant. A Plus Garage Doors was able to come to my residence the same day that they were called. Once they were assigned, A Plus called me to set up the appointment, were on time and fixed the problem.

I submitted my request then received an email notice that technician would arrive during a time period on a certain day from a certain company. Technician was on time. Technician saw situation causing the leaking water, adjusted the unit and my problem abated. Also advised that what he did might not solve the problem long term.

I changed the filter on the fridge and emptied the icebox as I had been away for a couple of months. The next morning the fridge started to leak--an ice-making problem. I called Choice HW who took the details and within a couple of hours had set up an appointment for a local repair service to visit the next working day. I would have given five stars especially for the person who signed me up on the phone. However, I continue to receive calls from Choice to 'Verify my information' then go on to try to sell me security systems etc with ADT. I have now asked them twice to not call me regarding selling more products to me. I am still getting these calls.
