The process to have the water heater replaced was very easy. Our water heater was out and the workers were great and swift with their assessment and then the replacement process was quick and very satisfying. It was very easy to report the problem to Choice Home Warranty.

I've been with Choice Home Warranty now for years and in my experience I have found that when it comes to major repairs like a AC/Heating unit or, in my more recent claim, my water heater, they finagle their way out of taking responsibility for any coverage. In this case, my water heater's tank was leaking and the unit was deemed unrepairable by the serviceman (who I actually have high praise for). Even though the water heater is listed as one of the appliances that the warranty company covers, they pointed me towards the 'fine print' which states that the "storage tank" is excluded. This, in itself is ridiculous since the storage tank IS the water heater. Just yet another way to get out of having to pay for a costly replacement. I'm throwing in the towel with Choice and moving onto another company as soon as my warranty ends in March.

We did without a refrigerator for 9 days due to the SLOW response of your company. The reimbursement rules are nearly impossible to meet, so they take that option away also. For this reason, I will be exploring other warranty companies for next year.

These guys were great, we could not get our garage door open and they called us at first and told us it would be 2-3 days before they could get to us because it was the day before Thanksgiving. After speaking to them they made it a priority to come late the same day and fixed it. That’s what l call Customer Service and we greatly appreciated them. They were great guys. We would definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

My washing machine cannot be repaired. Choice Warranty offered less than the replacement amount for a simple, basic replacement. It will take at least thirty days to receive the funds, thus I will be forced to spend nearly $200 to do laundry for a family of four at a laundromat instead of at no cost in my home.

The technician was on time and repaired the dishwasher. He was knowledgeable of the product and diagnosed the problem after a short period. He replaced a part and the dishwasher is now working to our satisfaction. I would recommend CHW.

The tech Deborah, that arrived at my home was very professional and friendly. She contacted Choice about the issue she found but was told by Choice that they would only cover the toilet flapper. When I contacted Choice about my issue of having a higher toilet installed for my brother which is disabled they said there would not be a problem.
I paid out of pocket more than the required $65.00 service call fee, which was ok since Ms. Deborah was already at my home. The toilet was installed and now works out great for my brother that has Down syndrome. I will recommend Rooter-Man to friends and family. Thank you very much Ms. Deborah for coming to our rescue.

Contacted Choice Home Warranty 4 days ago to get someone out to look at my furnace and still have not heard from anyone to come out for the repair. I've had this company for 3 years and have paid my contract on time every month but when I need them they are 100% unresponsive. But they are sure to take their money out of my account every month.

My washing machine was making a loud noise and probably needed service. I filed a claim over the phone, and was contacted by Sears Appliance Repair by email. Repairman contacted me by phone to confirm and get driving directions and arrived at the time promised. He did a check of the washer, assessed and fixed the problem and did a quick service of the machine, tips on how to keep it from happening again, took payment as had been previously discussed, and was on his way in an hour.

We filed a claim on 11/3 and today is 11/26. A plumber was going to come out on 11/11 but called you 3 days in advance to say it was veterans day and to re assign it. No one from Choice called to tell us they were not coming. ON 11/18 a plumber did come out we paid him the 75.00 and now they refuse to do the work but not one called us to tell us. Now we do not know when the next plumber will be out. A toilet not a luxury item.

This technician was extremely professional and personable. I was leery after a poor experience with another company, but he was kind and polite. He was very knowledgeable and advised me of the most likely issue, didn't talk down to me, and gave me some great advice on where to go from here. Matheau was very helpful. Now I am waiting for claims to contact me. He sold me the 6 year plan at a 5 year cost. I called to report a problem I am having with my sewer system and he supposedly reported this to claims so hopefully they will call me after the Holiday.

Your customer service is lacking in the respect that I have to call at each stage of service to find out the status of the claim. I was told by the technician that my microwave that quit was too old to order parts and would need to b replaced. Then after I bought a new one was told as it wasn't preapproved by CHW I would not be reimbursed anything. I then asked to speak to someone else who told me that was not true and asked who told me that. It was your customer service representative. RIDICULOUS! I emailed a copy of my receipt as requested and am now waiting for a response. I will be very curious to see if and when I receive a response or if I will have to make yet another phone call and how many more people you will have to talk to to receive reimbursement. Process needs a lot of improvement!

My washing was not draining. I had the repair person out for service call after filing my claim. He was thorough and knowledgeable. He was courteous and went right to work. This is the second time we have used Choice. The first was perfect. Paying only $75.00 for our central air-conditioning. The second is still on going but when our dryer went out on Thanksgiving day, I made the call and within ten minutes we had our claim in. That same day we had an appointment set up. Though it was not a time we could make, we were able to find a date that was more convenient for the repairs.

My experience was a 4 star and would have been a 5 if it wasn't for the background noise which made it hard to hear Ditland sometimes. Other than that Ditland was very informative about everything. He was very polite and answered all questions I had.

David was great. I will give him a 10+. He works for USA plumbing and sewers. But my daughter has been without hot water for over a month already. She has Choice warranty also. Different plumbing company. The hot water broke and they came to take a look at it. But as today is hasn't been fix or replace. Is not pleasant to be taking a cold water shower every day for over a month already. She has 2 kids and it's very hard to take a cold shower. I hope choice take care of this matter. The policy is under Miguel ** policy# ** claim #**. I am worry because they are my family and I recommended choice. I hope choice take care of this issue ASAP.

The tech was great. The service was assigned quickly, but I'm done with this warranty company. Prices are too high for the limitations. Too many things are not covered. My fear is having a major issue and it's not covered.

It is hard to talk to a person everything has to be done online and it takes long for a repair person to come and do the service. I do not know if it is because a holiday, we place the request online and one is taking 3 days and the other one 6 days

I had a toilet leaking from underneath the toilet, so I utilized my Choice Warranty. The ONLY thing I was disappointed in was how many days until the plumber arrived, but honestly, the leak was not constant and it was easily cleaned up when it did leak, so the delay was not a huge issue. Brian was the plumber who came to fix the toilet. He was friendly and efficient, and completed the job in less than an hour. He cleaned up after himself as well, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Got my dishwasher repaired in a timely manner and the technician you sent over (Taylor) was awesome, called it in for a claim on Saturday and it was repaired for drainage problems on Tuesday, as well fixed a leakage problem I was having.

After I submit the problem it can take up to a week for a technician to come out. Being without the use of the product can be a hardship. I would expect a 2 or 3 day response time. I had it with the other warranty company.

Nice man, the problem was mine...Had cataract surgery and couldn't read the fine print on dishwasher panel..He simply pointed out that I caused the problem. Happy not to be replacing parts! In a new home and had to replace major refrigerator part so I dreaded having to deal with a similar problem...Repairman showed up on time, evaluated the problem quickly. With Thanksgiving here losing the use of my dishwasher would have been a set back to the schedule so a quick resolution was hoped for but not expected. This repair kept me on track. Thanks much!

Roxanne who manages Four Tech Services is horrible at communication. She books things last minute. Also she ignored my texts and calls for 2 days. She is unorganized. The only reason why I am giving 3 stars is because Samuel my plumber was very helpful and friendly. I would give Roxanne a 0 and Samuel a 5 star.

Very deceptive information, had to call home warranty once I got the contract. Brandon told me that the service call fee was $55 and it was not, also said for the next six year he will be my account manager and that was not true. He also told me if I am not satisfied with the service I received I can cancel the contract. Will have to wait and see for that. Melanie ** in the resolution dept. was excellent and affirm that Brandon ** is not my account manager but a sales person and reduce the service call fee to $60. Salesman like Brandon ** gives a bad name to the company. Hoping when I do need a service call my experience will be better.

Kelly came out 2 days after the service request. Had the part in his truck and we had a working dishwasher in just 2 hours!! He explained what needed to be fixed and gave suggestions to help extend the life of our dishwasher.

I had 3 toilets that would always be running and the diaphragms were leaking inside the tank as well as the flappers. The plumber sent out to diagnose and repair was amazing. Replaced the tank parts in all 3 toilets doing a great job and fast.

My heater went out and within about 7 hours I got a email telling me what to expect. That morning the A/C company called and I had an appointment for the following day. So far it has been good. I A/C needs a new motor so we'll see what happens now.

I filed a claim and quickly a response was sent. I knew that the pro was to come between 8am and 5 pm. I realized that I had to drive to the dialysis center to get my husband at 10:30 so I tried to call the pro to ask when he was coming. I got no answer. At 9:40 am he arrived at my door. I could not have him in the house when I had to leave so he rescheduled himself for 12/1/2022. Since I could not wait that long, I called another.

Have had CHW for several years, very pleased with their service overall. This particular repair, electric dryer temperature knob was unfortunately subcontracted to Sears Repair. They never showed up. I contacted CHW directly, next day a terrific technician showed up and fixed my machine. Really like their regular service!

Requested service for our fridge that was not keeping temp. The repairman arrived and performed the repair. We felt the job was repaired quickly and effectively. We are still living in a bubble with the pandemic. We provided the Tech with a mask and asked him to utilize gloves. The glove request was not complied with. My wife covered the counter with a plastic bag, but the drawers were placed on the floor. My wife immediately began washing the items. He was knowledgeable and determined the fan was no longer working. He defrosted the frozen fan assembly and replaced the item. Payment was rendered and we were satisfied with the results.

The 2nd contractor Sears fixed my oven problem. The first contractor was terrible. Was just guessing what was wrong. Took multiple trips and attempts by the first contractor but Choice Warranty finally sent a company that knew what they were doing.

Fan motor was making a loud noise. After removal it found to have a large amount of unusual movement and oil leak. The fan motor was just beforehand stopping completely. The repairman from All Stars Heating and Air was very professional.

I have CHOICE in both of my homes. One in Florida and the other in NY. I would rate CHOICE as very good, not perfect, but generally, very good. Occasionally, the contractors they send are not that good, but for the most part, they show up and do the repair properly. I plan to renew both CHOICE contracts when they are due for renewal. Both my wife and I are usually very critical of such contracts, and we find CHOICE very acceptable. This is our honest opinion.

Technician was easy to work with and took time to discuss and explain all aspects of the process and repair. He was able to suggest additional ways to make the HVAC more efficient. Our warranty is in my wife’s name but recent eye surgery required me handling this claim and survey response.

First of all, I don’t know if it was because of the type of issue that I needed to get taken care of or not a lot of folks are having plumbing issues. But my call to Choice Warranty was quickly acknowledged and a service man came out just a couple of days after my call. I say this, because I have been very frustrated with the service I received as far as acknowledging my issues with the last couple of calls that I have made. But I was very pleased this time around. The serviceman was very knowledgeable dealing with my issue and took care of it in a timely manner. He cleaned up the area after he was done and I was 100% satisfied with his service. If you are fortunate, you will get the same serviceman whenever you have a plumbing issue.

Our heater went out Friday and Choice Warranty kept us up to date with the process.. They found someone, they came out and fixed our heater on Tuesday.. The process was so smooth. It’s well worth paying for a warranty for situation like our heater going out.. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Choice responded quickly and dispatched a contractor. The contractor was very nice and knowledgeable. The only thing I did not understand was the idea to fix my current washer for the 3rd time with same problem. The cost to fix seemed more than the amount that would be offered for a new one.

Kitchen Sink faucet needed replacing. Choice Warranty set up the appointment quickly with a plumber with no hassles or issues. Plumber explained it couldn't be fixed and suggested a quality alternative he had on hand. Service was professional and fast.

I feel that the process for reimbursement was great and easy to follow. The response from Choice was same day service was great and very well understood. You should add MKT electronics to your listings for service. MKT was familiar with all aspects of electrical circuits and I felt really comfortable is hiring them.

CHW needs to improve their procedure for replacing bad hot water heaters. The technician should be able to make the determination, and begin the process of obtaining a replacement the moment the unit is declared unserviceable. After all, CHW selects their technicians. Empower them, and let them expedite replacements so that customers don't wait extra days while communications go back and forth between the technician, CHW and the third party that provides the hot water heater and other required parts to complete the service. We have been approved for replacement and approved the $480 cost, but have not heard back about the scheduled time for replacement. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it's looking like we may not have hot water until after the holiday. There are better ways to do things. I am NOT faulting the technician... but CHW's current procedures.

The technician, Joe, was quite efficient. Job well done! He communicated/followed up on 11/21/22 the original appointment time, and was prompt on the time set on 11/22/22. Very personable. Yes, I would recommend a friend. As a matter of fact on speaking to a friend she showed interest and planned to contact CHW in the upcoming week or so.

Came home from vacation to one of the coldest nights of the season thus far and the heater wasn't working. Made the call first thing Sunday morning and the technician was here Monday by 2PM. And he got the heater working again within a few minutes. He was prompt and professional.

I was misled by Choice Home Warranty by being offered a Veterans Discount. The rates sounded outstanding and really made me feel as a “23-year Army Veteran” very appreciative and supportive by Choice Home Warranty team. However, the discount only applied if I paid up front 6 years’ worth of premiums. Honestly, this is not a Veterans Discount. It’s a commitment that you will be a Choice Home Warranty customer for 6 years.

I had a routine maintenance check done on my Furnace (heating for the winter). The normal company that I use for the maintenance sent a technician. The technician inspected the system and told me that the "Heat Exchanger" has burn marks and that it would be dangerous to continue to run the furnace and that he had to shut it down as it could be dangerous and may emit Carbon Monoxide, and he shut the system down. He told me that I may have to replace the system or the heat exchanger.
I called Choice Warranty, and the customer service person was very helpful and arranged for a company to come within two days to take a look at the issue with the furnace. The technician who came by, was very professional and very courteous. He inspected the heat exchanger and showed me how well it was working. He told me that there was no problem with it and it was safe to use. I am thankful to Choice for sending me a professional company to try and resolve the issue. I am very satisfied with the service provided by Choice, timely and efficient. Thank you.

Choice Home Warranty will not cover most issues. They are complete waste of money. If they do cover something you will be fighting with a claims representative for hours to finally get an approval. On 11/9/2022, I called your service department and reported that the previous status update was incorrect, and that repairs are needed. I was told that I would receive a new status update within 24 hours. I still have not received any new status update. On 11/15/2022, I submitted an online message to CHW. Didn’t get any response. On 11/16/2022, at 9:53 am, I called your service department again and selected the option for a call back. Never got a call back. On 11/18/2022, I called your service department again and waited for a representative. Scheduled a call from Case Manager for 11/22/2022 at 12:30 pm.
On 11/22/2022, at 12:57 pm, because I never got a call, I called the Case Manager directly. Was immediately placed on hold. Case manager said I would need to contact the company to see if they do chemical duct cleaning. I told her that I am paying her to figure what needs to be done and get back to me. She called the technician, then told me he said sections of the ceiling would need to be removed and the ductwork replaced, but that CHW won’t cover it because it’s “maintenance”.
Case Manager was very rude and refused to connect me with her supervisor. When I asked her to spell her name, she rattled it off so fast I couldn’t get it down. When I tried calling back to request a proper email status update, I was immediately placed on hold, and no one ever answered, over 30 minutes. I called again and got through, but the case manager refused to email me a proper status update. This issue remains unresolved. I will most likely be cancelling my contract with CHW, if you don't cover the needed repairs. Please make this right. Thank you.

The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was here for about a half hour and fixed the problem. My dishwasher air gap was leaking water and he fixed the problem. I just moved here so to experience water leaks can be stressful but he put my stress at ease.

We had a dryer issue and submitted a claim. The process has been ok and the people I have dealt with are great. After the repair attempt, it has been determined that the dryer will need to be replaced. We received the amount which is about half of what the actual cost will be to replace, but I did expect that a little, and the amount was not unacceptable. The biggest issue I am having is the time this is all taking. It took about two weeks to get a service tech out, which I get is a problem everywhere. The claim appointment to come to an agreement on the amount took another few days. Now that we have an agreement, we are being told it takes two to three weeks to send out an e-gift card. It is over a month and still no dryer which is becoming an issue and making this process frustrating. This is definitely going to be a factor in the decision to renew the warranty policy in the future.

I purchased this home warranty 1 year ago. I will NEVER use them again. I made a claim for my refrigerator. I had a wire that needed fixing for my ice maker to work. They said it wasn't under their warranty. Only thing they have ever fixed is my sink once because something was stuck. It was an easy fix. I have had 3 claims with them. They actually did the job once. I have paid 65$ twice to the same person who “fixes” things for them to only get told they won't fix it. Worst place ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DON'T CARE. THEY WON'T FIX ANYTHING!!!! YOU CAN GO WITH AMERICAN HOME SHIELD INSTEAD.

The lady at the plumbing company literally gave me a 15 minute window for my plumbing issue. Who can actually leave from downtown get off work and make it home in less than 15 minutes. The old door was on its way out. Very pleased with the outcome, although it did cost an additional $700.00, it was necessary and problem solved. Choice Home Warranty failed to give the plumbing company an order for the water heater, so we have been without hot water for 5 days and will not have it until tomorrow. Choice had approved the replacement, and the plumber scheduled our installation, but the plumber never got an order for the heater from Choice until after they called Choice today. This is terrible business practice. We are extremely disappointed.

I returned home from the hospital after a heart procedure to find my home cold and no heat. I called CHW, reported my problem. Within 5 minutes I checked their website for my account. The technician/plumber was knowledgeable but he was sent out to the job site with a 50 foot snake when he needed a 100 foot snake to complete the job. I reported my problem on a Monday, the tech came out on a Wednesday but did not have an adequate snake so he had to make a return trip on Friday. We were without toilets, sinks, washer/dryer, and dishwasher for 5 days. My recommendation is that the plumbing trucks should carry 100 ft snakes to our area due to larger house and property lots. My microwave died shortly after I bought the house and the average microwave is about $500, and the payout was either low 300s or high 200s. So, it was not enough to even buy the cheapest microwave in Walmart. If something breaks that needs to be replaced, Choice Home Warranty most definitely doesn't give enough money to replace it. So, I would recommend people to go with someone else. But when it comes to sending technicians, Choice Home Warranty has a quick response, which is something that I like. I want to start off with everyone I spoke to was very courteous and professional. This review has nothing to do with the people that work for Choice. I do however want to share my disappointment with the company. I paid for 3 years of coverage upfront because they promised me that if they can't fix my appliances they will replace them. I called once for my refrigerator. It just so happens that what was broke was not covered.
I just called them for my washing machine. The parts were covered however they were discontinued so they cannot fix it. They offered me $375.00 to replace my washer. That pretty much will cover the cost of tax, installation and delivery. I do not have cheap appliances. I have a large capacity washer. The cheapest washer similar to what I had was about $800.00. Their promise to replace my appliance fell short. When I wouldn't accept their offer they gave me $100.00 more. This is still unacceptable. I could have used the money I gave Choice, bought a new machine and still have money left over.

It took weeks to get a service technician to look at our refrigerator. This was not CHW's fault. All techs in our area were backlogged and CHW gave us the option to find our own tech, which we declined. Fortunately, the refrigerator was not an emergency. Otherwise I hope CHW would have expedited service. We were given same day notice of a tech coming. Fortunately we were home so it was a pleasant surprise. Ordering service was easy. A technician from Bennett & Son's, "Choice Home Warranty" assigned to my claim was very knowledgeable, kind & answered all my questions in great detail. I was very pleased with everything the Technician from "Bennett & Son's" accomplished. The Technician also discovered the motor in the air handler was only operating at 30% compacity. My air handler motor is now operating at nearly 99% compacity. The difference in the power of airflow throughout the entire house is incredible! The entire house is heated very quickly now. The A/C's ability has also increased substantially! So, am not only satisfied... I am very, very satisfied!

My freeze died. I had it full of food and it took Choice Warranty a week to get someone out to look at it. Then they decided to buy me a new one. Ha!!! They gave me about half the amount that it will take to replace it and that was a gift card to Lowe's. Well, Lowe's do not have what I need because I am constrained by size of unit to fit into the space I have. I would have to wait until March before Lowe's can ship the freezer that I need. In the meantime I have all the food that was in the old freezer stored in a relative's freezer and they are 15 minutes away from me. I feel like I have been totally cheated on this deal. CHW does NOT really care about their customers. Oh, and the person I had to deal with on the phone barely spoke English. It has been a horrible experience!

Choice was a little bit cheaper in prices than the home warranty that I had before them. But I've fought them over a garage door opener. This has been going on since the 25th of last month and they've been making the technician jump through hoops. They couldn't find anybody. I finally got one company to come out because none of the others wanted to deal with them. They keep trying to lower his prices down, and keep trying to charge me trip fees each time he has to come out. Finally, once I said I'm turning everything over to my attorney and I'm tired of dealing with it, they approved the work, and they're installing a new opener today.

Rufus the technician was awesome. Did a good job and fixed the problem in a reasonable time. Kept in touch throughout the process gave a text when he was on his way to my house. I commend this technician for his professionalism and concern in keeping the customer satisfied.

Excellent explanation of services and costs by Troy. Would highly recommend to others. It is a relief to know that I have coverage for so many things including things 100 feet from house. Now I don’t have to worry about what might happen and how I could afford the repair.

I am purchasing a home in Mesquite NV and I wanted to get some peace of mind in case something goes wrong after moving in. I talked to John and what a pleasant professional rep. The problem with my dishwasher had occurred a couple of months ago. A technician came after the claim was submitted. He said there was a build up of soap. He left the dishwasher running. About a month or so after the problem was there again. With the holidays coming I decided to submit another claim to get it working. The Technician that came from Sears worked on it and got it working, he left it running the cycle. I hope it does not happen again. But what happens if it does, another $85.00 service fee?

The Technician they sent moved his schedule around so he could take care of us when problems arose again. Very satisfied with this technician and would try to have him take care if another issue arose. Since using Choice Home Warranty we have been satisfied with the work.

Great experience discussing plan and options. Sales Rep was clear and concise on plan's coverage and responsibilities. Plan covers entire list of home appliances and replaces any not serviceable. Cost of plan within our budget for coverage of home appliance repairs. Was able to work out plan for 42 month coverage of all items listed on plan.

So far Choice is been the best warranty company I ever dealt with. I had work on my plumbing and Bill from Railys Plumbing was the best. He was very professional and listened to my needs and concerns. He did a wonderful job.

It took 8 months from our initial purchase in Feb/March to get CHW to assist with a damaged ice maker in our home .... The rescue was done by a SEARS employee that was FINALLY engaged by HIS company to come to our home miles away to fix our damaged refrigerator. IT IS NOW FINALLY operating because of SEARS. Again, we are not at all attributing much, if ANY credit to the CHW contact management. I believe that access to the CHW company managers, office staff, and coordinators was atrocious ... Our SAVIOR was a fine young man named Ishmael from an Illinois location, 80 miles away ... Yikes!!??

Spoke with Latasha ** regarding renewing my policy for the next 6 years. She was very informative & explained all of enhancements to the new policy. It’s a pleasure talking with someone who has the answers to my questions. I previously have had technicians come out to fix appliances that didn’t know what they were doing. I was happy to hear that the quality of the technicians has been upgraded.

Our furnace stopped working so I called CHW to open a claim and they sent out a repair man within 24 hours. The company that they sent out was very professional and got our system up and running again in no time. Since this was my first time submitting a claim I was a little nervous, however CHW customer care was very professional and helped make everything right.

The first gentleman (Robbie) I spoke with was awesome. He answered all my questions was very friendly. The 2nd gentleman I spoke with was a little more pushy in regards to the way he handle things. Didn’t verify any information except the address. Finally verified who I was after everything was said and done and I asked if he needed my name.

I really like how easy it is to get ahold of customer service at Choice Home Warranty, but I really hate how frequently I need to. While I've had some excellent experiences with companies that have picked up my claims, the abjectly horrifying experiences I've had with two of the companies have made me seriously consider trying to get out of this home warranty and has even resulted in legal action taken against one of the companies, which uses multiple dummy corporations to pick up claims but doesn't actually have any technicians on staff. And yet these dummy corporations are still permitted to pick up my claims, and it's a struggle every single time to get my claim picked up by an ACTUAL home repair service.
It's beyond just causing a headache. I've missed days of work waiting for technicians who have never come because the company doesn't exist. It's a very strange system. When it works, it's just fine. But there has to be something that can be done about who Choice Home Warranty is letting go to people's homes. Is that supposed to be funny, calling the company "Choice Home Warranty"? Because customers have close to zero choice when it comes to vetting companies working on their most valuable asset, their home.

So our heating stopped working (of course) on the coldest days of the year so far on Thursday, I contacted Choice and they said they were going to assign a technician but they couldn’t tell me how long would it take to come so I found a technician that works with them that could come to check and fix my problem and they are not willing to assign the claim to him, they asked me to tell the technician to call their vendor relationship department to ask for my claim, he did and they are giving him the round about and not giving him the claim; these people don’t care if it’s winter and your house it’s literary frozen, I did the job for them and found a technician and still with that they don’t want to help, I’ve heard this is common practice so you get desperate and get your own technician and get the problem fix then ask to get reimbursed and that’s when they say that they will not reimburse you because they have to send the technician and of course winter time and freezing temperatures are the perfect timing to desperate people!

We filed a claim for a broken heater. The technician did not get to us until 5 days later!! I would expect more concern for our health and safety in sub freezing temperatures. In addition, the heating company would not answer calls or return calls!! They were terrible.

My heating system was overheating, so I had to turn it off during the coldest days of the season. Home Warranty sent a repairman out the next day. The repairman sent me an email of when he would be coming, and even called me before he came to make sure that the time was okay. He quickly resolved the issue. He was very polite and professional. My repair fee was only a fraction of what I would have had to pay, if I didn't have Choice Home Warranty. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

The tech (Jordan) from Diamond Garage Doors and Openers was very skilled and friendly and fixed the broken opener in a matter of minutes. Explaining what he was doing as he worked. Much better service than I expected! I would request him again in the future if needed.

We had a potential flood on our hands on the six floor of a condo that would’ve impacted all the units below the six floor from a rusted out leaking water heater That was about to lose all this water at any time. Choice Home Warranty saw this for the emergency that it was and allowed us to contact a local plumber to come out immediately. The plumber identified problem that the unit was 28 years old and rusting out and began to leak into the condo unit below. The plumber immediately installed a new water heater and Choice Home Warranty covered all the expenses except be contractor visit deductible. We’ve only had a good experience with Choice Home Warranty and we stopped using a competitor for reasons of non-responsiveness. Choice Home Warranty actually answers the phone and has always responded professionally and courteously to the problem. 10 stars out of five.

I did this claim by the book! Online. my issue for a claim was my side-by-side freezer. From a NOT TO WASTE viewpoint the time wasted setting up an appointment (which finally happened) and all my frozen food thawed out: steaks, seafood, and a lot of TV dinners. Being uncertain of this format of claim made it impossible to donate to neighbors' quality food. NOT that any of my neighbors have done anything for me, I would have tried to share the food.

Had an issue with my heater over the weekend. Called in, started a claim and they were out to fix the problem sooner than I would ever imagine. Seems to be fixed correctly and in a timely manner. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty for all your appliance coverages. I wasn't sure at 1st but now that I had a problem and it was fixed I am definitely satisfied.

We called to get A/C fixed and was told that because it was under warranty they wouldn't fix it AFTER THE FACT they had sent out a guy AND paying $85. It would have been nice of them to ask me for the serial number or pass me on to a technician that may have asked for the number BECAUSE who would have known that after nearly 10 years it was STILL under warranty with the manufacturer. Now not only $85 in the hole I have to fork out $250 plus.

The temperature fell below freezing on Thursday and when I turned the furnace on, it would not come on and set a code on the flashing indicator lamp confirming there was some kind of fault that locked out the gas valve. I called Choice Warranty and they processed our claim within an hour of my call and the technician from the repair company called later in the afternoon to confirm our appointment for the next day. Hopefully they will be able to repair the issue and get our heat on before we have some pipes freeze. Very timely service which we appreciate.

The technicians who come out report one thing to the customers about work that needs to be done and CHW totally disregards their professional assessment and does the minimal work possible to repair the item. Some technicians don’t do the job properly at all, so the problem is never really resolved, resulting in numerous calls for the same problems. This defeats the purpose of having a contract at all. The appeal process is also a joke, hey you can never win, no matter how much evidence you have. It’s pointless to even try to appeal. Their goal is to pay as little as possible by doing incomplete or inferior work.

The office called me to let me know the tech was about 10 minutes away. When he arrived, he was polite and friendly. After sizing up the problem, he conferred with another worker and they agreed on a solution. It was quick and painless. Now my garage door works better than it has in a long time.

I purchased the home warranty and filed a claim. The service technician came to the home and advised me that in his experience, he has never seen them approve a real claim and if it is not something they can put a band-aid on, they have never actually covered the claim. When the claim was denied, it was no surprise, but the worst part is that the people they have working as "case managers" are rude and do not do their proper research before calling you with their scripted excuses as to why your claim is denied.
If you ask for more details, they become argumentative and dismissive and hang up on you. Still waiting for a supervisor to call, as they just tried to transfer me from "case manager" to "case manager". How can you report a negative experience to a peer and expect accountability? My suggestion is to find a company with professionalism and customer service skills, and avoid wasting your time, energy and money on this rude and uneducated staff at Choice.

The repair Company came out on Tuesday 11/15/22 and checked the outlets but couldn’t determine what is causing the outage. I am still having the no power issue and need them to come back out ASAP. I don’t feel I should pay another service call for same issue.

I was surprised that I had to pay $366 more besides the $85 upfront fee. Not sure why that was the case. I thought the money I paid for the plan covered everything except the $85. Interesting that I got a call to renew my policy at the same time I had to pay extra for the water heater. I realize that I would have had to pay much more had I not had the policy.

Technician arrived as scheduled. Checked and diagnosed our issue and quickly found that ice maker unit was beyond repairs. He had a new unit in his truck and changed the ice maker unit. He did more checks to assure everything was working as designed. Very cordial and knowledgeable. Very happy with outcome.
