I agreed to purchase the service but during the setup I told the sales representative that I was tax exempt and offered to give him the information. I was told that his manager had did some adjustment and the tax would not be charged. I received my receipt and noticed the sales tax on it. I spoke with the sales representative by phone. Said he would have to speak with his manager and call me back. This is the kind of service as a customer I do not want. If I can't trust you to get tax adjustment right how can I trust you to service things in my home? Please respond to me expeditiously.

Agent was thorough and very professional. He took the time to listen to our needs and explain what was covered by their plan and what were the exclusions. Upon learning that we were senior citizens he found us additional savings. Great experience.

My wife called, but did not speak to a service rep and had to do the request by voicemail. No one from Choice called back to advise the name/phone number/date that a repair tech would be scheduled. However, on the date the service tech came out I found an email from Choice (time stamp 5 am) advising a service tech would be out that day between the hours of noon and 3 pm. The service tech came out, but we were not at home because we were not aware a service tech had been scheduled since I do not check email daily. Choice really needs to have person-to-person contact when it comes to scheduling service calls, as has been the case previously, and to not rely on email notifications.

Power went out in the Garage and the light in the living room. The technician came out and was very helpful, he found the bad switch and corrected it and all is working great now. We paid the 65.00 fee for the Choice Home Warranty call out and that was it.

I have my service call setup online. Choice Home Warranty responded within 24 hours for appointment setup. The Plumbing company called back to change the appointment time to an earlier day, which is just perfect for me. Technician Renado was on time and very professional. He is very knowledgeable and I would recommend them again.

I have been a homeowner for over 50 years in Las Vegas and I have never had such an uncomplicated response from any home warranty I have ever dealt with. It was swift and very professional. My husband and I were so happy with our experience and Jonathan our repairman was exceptional. He was polite and professional and resolved the issue in a prompt and experienced manner. I wasn't given enough money to buy another washer. To replace my washer with a the least expensive brand was $489. I was given $340. This amount wasn't enough. I had to add money. There was fine print.

Great service and quick set up of claim. Everything was answered correctly. I was hoping for a quick response and they gave me that. I have been getting overcharged so I will be calling back to fix that. I was promised 40$ per month but have been getting charged 50$ per month. I will correct this today.

The initial request for repair and response was great. The technician that assessed the problem was also great. The denial of the claim is very disappointing after paying so much to have the systems covered. CHW constantly wants to deny claims or just pay to put a bandaid on a bigger issue. It is a huge inconvenience to have to argue my case and deal with the trial and error of just placing bandaids to wait for the entire system failure. I could have replaced the hot water heater twice or more with the price I have paid to renew my contract.

Our water bib broke off and the technician came and replaced it and ensured that it was not leaking. He was very efficient and did this in a very timely manner. When he first thought it was finished, he noticed that there was still a small leak and redid the connection so that there was no leak.

I purchased a policy with add on items including the roof from this company totaling almost 700 dollars. December 3, 2022 I placed my first claim for my garage door. Choice Warranty whom has a 24 assignment policy still has not assigned a technician to fix my garage door a month and a half later. Every phone call results in excuse after excuse and blaming of their dispatch center whom continuously tries to assign a technician from hours away from where I live in spite of being repeatedly informed of multiple garage door companies within 20 mins of my house.
Choice says those companies are not in their network. I called those companies who said they would work with Choice to fix my door if Choice were to call them assigning them to their network. Choice refuses to call any of these companies to add them to their network thus refuses to get my door repaired which is covered in my policy effectively breaching and being unable to fulfill their own contract then states any refund of the money they stole at this point for a policy they can't fulfill would be prorated. How does one prorate their own breach of contract?
Zero stars, I put one because you have to to make a review but in reality they get zero. They are by far the worst warranty company on the planet. Do not go here fooled by their lying advertisement of being a top company. Top of a trash heap is more like it. They have assigned several technicians to do the job who directly tell them they will not drive several hours to make a garage door repair yet choice is so incompetent they continue to look for techs where they won't find any instead of where they know there is an abundance of them nearby to work with. Can't fix stupid.

My appointment for your representative to arrive was between 11;00AM and 3:00PM. At 3:15 I called the number listed and Sharrif answered and seemed hesitant when I asked where he was and when would arrive. It was if he did not know about the meeting. He told me he was in the area and would be able to see me at 6;00PM. He arrived between 6;15 and 6;30.
After reviewing the problem which I had describe to your specialist in the office he contacted your representative, and they asked me to submit a new claim for the sump pump and the valve. He reconceived approval to repair or replace what was causing the problem but informed me that he would have to wait till he was given the authority to perform the repairs need to stop the water leak. He informed me that he would call me Monday or Tuesday of the week of January 16. At this point he has not contacted me for an appointment to fill the repairs. Not sure what actual happened after my initial call where I described the problem. It seems that the burden is on the office.

Had to talk to a damn Computer and still haven’t heard anything back about when I can expect to get my clothes washer fixed. I should have been contacted back and told when I could expect to not only hear when someone would be here and who would the company be that was coming and when.

Great Customer Service! He was able to answer all my concerns. And let me know that if they can’t fix my appliance that I am fully insured to get the same new ones replacements. And also explain to me how I have a one time deductible.

Quick response, expert technician, and fixed the issue on first visit. Received an email on the next day after filing the claim to inform me the name and phone number of company to check the unit. The technician company has called day after receiving the email and scheduled a visit within a day.

My dryer was not working correctly. It was taking about 3 hours to dry a load of clothes that should have been dry in about 35 minutes. The repair person came at the times he said he would and replaced the heating element and what ever else that was needed. It seems to be working fine now.

Called Choice for service repair and an approved company was scheduled the next day and handled the problem successfully. The service repair company showed up in the allotted timeframe. I like that Choice offers a 30-day warranty on repairs should the same problem happens again.

Called Choice Warranty, worked with the automated system, very friendly use, clear and received a claim number at the end of answering some questions regarding the problem I have. In an hour I received an email saying my case is sent to a plumber, who will contact me. I have been with this company for many years. Reliable and they do not give you the run around. The only problem I had in the past that they had contractors that are either not reliable or even not knowledgeable. Let's see this time if the contractor will be good. I had several claims before, only 2 times I had the above problems that led us to change the contractor initially sent to us. I still think that, this is the best warranty company available and the most affordable one out there in the market.

I choose to use m own plumber and using this option is easy to use. Once the plumber was here and the problem was texted to Choice the response came back quickly. I paid the lumber myself and will get reimbursed by Choice minus my call fee.

Took 3 weeks with maximum temperature of 65 degrees with furnace running constantly day and night. My electric bill we doubled. G go irate contractor said my heat exchanger had 4 crafts in it. The next contractor came in, took less than fifteen minutes to find the the problem. (The 60 amp breaker in the furnace had one side with melted wires. Furnace was operating on half power. Got the part and came back and repaired wires and put in new breaker.) Very good contractor.

Waited a month to get my wh fixed and now it needs replaced. Yesterday the company that “fixed” it said they wanted to come get the part they installed. I asked them to wait until they replaced it. They said they would not submit replacement order until they came to get the part. I called Choice, waited for 15 minutes, spoke to a representative, explained the situation and told them who I was and was disconnected. They didn’t call back. I called again waited again and got someone to help me. Waited and they got a néw company which will obviously take more time.
Waited on hold for ages and then waited to speak to a manager who was so rude and uncaring that I don’t think I want to continue working with choice. I just bought 3 policies for 5 years I think. He didn’t care. He said he couldn’t call to tell me what would happen to the company that tried to extort me. He didn’t call back. I said choice has sales calls to me all the time. He told me I had to go through the whole process again with a company coming out. I said that I’d waited a month and he said choice doesn’t do fast. To go without hot water for so long especially over the holidays and in the winter has been awful and his uncaring attitude was hard to take. The agent I spoke to was much better at customer service than he was. He said there was no way to rush it, zero compensation for the situation and no way for me to know what happened with the company who refused to put my claim in. Terrible service, terrible customer service, terrible empathy. Zero stars.

The claim manager did not even listen to what I am saying. The appliance costs over 400 to replace and another 150 to install. She did not consider the issues I was mentioning. She simply kept saying what she wants to say. She did not wait for customer to respond. She kept on talking. In the past I was happy with Choice Home Warranty. But this interaction is not good for me.

For the third time on this claim, technician did not show up for our appointment and did not call to explain. Two men showed up for the Jan. 9, 2023 appointment, were paid $85 as per agreement. They said they had to order a part for the washer. Another appointment was made by email for Jan. 13, 2023 we assumed to install the ordered part. As of this time we have not heard from anyone and there is no answer at the phone number we were given. Please advise status.

I had someone come out and fix my dryer and he looked at my dryer and he knew exactly what was wrong and he fixed it within a few minutes. He was very warm and very Friendly and I gave him a cup of coffee because I was so Impressed with Him. I would definitely recommend him.

All of sudden we notice that House is getting colder, temperature is dropping. We checked thermostat too. Technician understand importance and came to my place. Technician told me they need to replace furnace part. He communicate with Choice Warranty. They told part is order and they fixed the issue.

I would not even consider these guys. I have received at least 6 unsolicited calls from them in the past 2-3 months. They use overseas call centers to make these illegal calls (I am on the federal Do Not Call list). At least they could employ Americans, but instead they choose to send business and jobs overseas. Even after telling them not to ever call me again, they continue to do so. They blatantly ignore you if you are not a sale or prospect. What do I need to do to get off their list??? I would never even consider them as they contribute to the billions of illegal robocalls received by Americans every month.

This was the first time I used Choice Home Warranty and it went flawlessly. I reported the problem and the brand name of my dryer. I received a text telling me who the repair company was and when they would arrive. The repairman showed up on time, replaced a part and was finished quickly. I like that he left the old part so I could see what he replaced. Very happy with Choice Home Warranty.

Warranty does not cover outside faucets even though it is attached to the house. I was hoping that it would so that I didn’t have to worry that if I worked on it and made it worse I wouldn’t have to wait for a plumber to come fix it. I hope that in the future CHW will include a sill cock/hose bib to the warranty.

The Repair technician "Mark" was pleasant, courteous and did a fantastic job. He kept me informed of his estimated arrival and the type of repairs needed.. I would definitely use him again if needed.. He had the repair parts with him so no additional appointment needed. He checked and sure the dryer was working correctly before he left.

My first experience started in early November where I found a leak by my furnace. I submitted a claim and asked for a plumber because what do I know… The plumber charged me the $65 co-pay and said it is not a plumbing issue. It is an HVAC issue. I submitted a claim for HVAC who took my $65 and told me the furnace needed replaced due to a crack in something. Nobody called me for over a week. I called Choice Home Warranty. They said I have to call the contractor who said CHW will not replace the furnace. It needs a piece repaired, as it is an old furnace. The contractor says they are having a hard time getting the part. Two months later I’m still dealing with this and CHW has not called me once and has not been helpful at all and trying to get this resolved they just say talk to the contractor. This is not acceptable.
At this point the furnace is still working but the fact is a piece has a crack in it and it needs to be repaired or replaced. This is not happening and it’s been two months. Therefore I am very dissatisfied with this service. However, in the meantime, my dryer stopped working, it was tumbling. It just was not getting hot. A contractor came out right away and fixed the problem very smoothly. My furnace needs fixed… You wanted my review, so do something about it. Fix the furnace, replace it or get me another contractor and I will not be paying another $65 service fee for a new contractor.

I have had home warranties with 3 different companies over the years. This was undoubtedly the easiest, most pleasant experience I have ever had. My repair was scheduled quickly, the technician arrived at the time projected, was most courteous and professional, and accomplished the repair quickly. If there was another issue with my appliance, I would be pleased to see the same technician.

I had a representative call me and we came to a monthly payment of $46.00. My credit card was to ran approximately a week later on January 13, 2023. The first payment was ran on January 13, 2023, however the payment was ran for $50 not the $46 that I was quoted. The asset resolution would not stand by the original quote. For the first transaction with Choice Home Warranty has not been a good experience.

I called to purchase a policy. Adam tried to upsell me twice after I had made my decision. I finally listened & let myself be talked into what he was offering & agreed. He told me once our conversation was over, he would send me a follow-up email detailing everything that he had told me. The Senior Plan is not detailed in the policy. I have requested that email twice. He has not responded. I chose this company so that I could have a representative to get in touch with. This is not a good start!

The ONLY thing that I can comment on for appreciation is the response for appointment time. I filled in the service request application and get an appointment the next morning for the same day. That was WONDERFUL!!!! But I could not ACCEPT the appointment because it was not available in my schedule for that day.. I have rescheduled the appointment, but would like to HOLD OFF on any comments about the actual service received for now!!!

Damon arrived on time, found the problem, repaired it, was very efficient, pleasant and capable. He had to return 2 days later because the a/c wasn't working. We had HVAC problems - the tech that came out was awesome. The CHW experience leaves a lot to be desired. Damages done were created by previous owners and CHW determined that my claim wasn't allowed because the failure was something that happened over time and that the system wasn't working properly when CHW was put on it. # 1 The tech DID NOT do the replacement that he stated was needed while he was here, didn't tell me what was needed, nothing. #2 What he DID do was replace the thermostat, and show us where there were intake vents that had air filters in them that needed to be replaced (we did not know that - and again they had been in there since previous owners). I do not feel that I was treated fairly by CHW for those reasons.

The person that came to service my dishwasher was very professional. He came in, introduce himself, and the purpose for being at this location,. He said he was Choice Home Warranty. While he was here my washer machine had a prole and he look at it, told me what was wrong and said to call Choice Home warranty and turn in a work order.

Failed communication and direction. There has been no follow through on this order and no help on how to get things done. Tech that was sent out was great. Choice said compressor replacement is covered under warranty and then they're done. NO warranty covers replacement parts not labor. Not happy right now.

He came and was very nice. When he turned the thermostat back on, it started to run correctly. I wish he checked why it had stopped and if the unit outside froze, he could have check for reasons why. Something caused it to stop blowing hot air. Just said call again if it happens again.

It has been helpful having CHW when appliances around the house start to have issues. The 2 times I've had to file a claim, the situations were remedied quickly. My only complaint happened today. I filed my claim late last night thinking I wouldn't hear/get an update on my next steps until another day or two went by. Surprisingly, by noon, I had a text saying a technician was going to be at my house that day between 8am-5pm. Usually this is great news - who doesn't love it when a company actually makes things happen right away? Unfortunately I was at work and my husband was out of town so no one would be home for the technician! (And I got the text at noon that someone would be there between 8-5... four hours already passed). Anyway, I wish I could have had a heads up or an option to choose when would be a good time for someone to come by. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5.

The response time in assigning a contractor was very unacceptable (slow). I had to call CHW to lodge a complaint with your Response team before I received response to my claim for a hot water heater in the winter. After that things picked up. This was my first experience using my warranty.

I put in an order for a plumbing system because I thought our hot water heater was out. Come to find out we had a broken line and we had a plumber on site. The plumber had to leave because it was not specifically in the previous order. I did not get my pipe fixed until I called back in and made another appointment. Refrigerator stopped cooling. Refrigerator is about twenty year old. Service was great once it arrived, but took about three days to get someone on site. Repair tech was knowledgeable and courteous. Repair only took about an hour to replace a compressor relay switch.

My dishwasher stopped working. A repairman was called out and he determined that it needed to be replaced. I was offered $246. I talked to two different agents who were short and poor attitudes. I am very upset that I paid for this warranty and my dishwasher was not replaced or funds given to replace it. The $246 was an insult. My renewal comes up next month and I have huge doubts of renewing it with Choice.

Was a member of Choice until July 2022. Choice customer service was excellent. My "only" problem was that poor responses from technicians assigned to my claims resulted in unacceptable long delays. I understand now that Choice does allow claimants to use a company of their choice in those instances.

The control board of my range went out, and the replacement part has been discontinued. Apparently GE does that on parts for its products. A shame because it's a beautiful double oven stainless range, original price $1900. I settled for $595 which was as high as Choice would go. I can't buy a new range for close to that amount. Choice was good about getting back to me about the claim, is best I can say. I equally blame GE for not making parts available to repair their huge beautiful expensive products. It's disgustingly wasteful of them

I was sold a Choice Home Warranty on promises of prompt and customer focused service - (typically a max 48 hours, but not promised to be that consistently). I filed my first claim on Jan. 4, 2023 regarding a plumbing leak, which most would agree needs immediate attention - at least the sooner the better. Choice Home Warranty emailed me a day later to apologize for a time delay. They could not find a plumber in my area to assign. Finally, I got an appointment for a week later on Jan. 11 with J&S Home Services. J&S Home Services is out of town and called me on Jan. 11 fifteen minutes past my appointment time (after a week of waiting), telling me they could not make it.
I spent the next 45 minutes on the phone trying to reach a Choice manager and a transfer to the resolution dept. In that 45 minutes I talked with three different agents who would not help me speak to a manager. One of them actually told me he did not have the capacity to transfer me to anywhere at Choice Home Warranty, and he disconnected my call in the middle of a senternce. I finally spoke to the person who sold me the contract, and he was pretty responsive. However, after telling me he had spoken to management and I should receive an update today as they worked to resolve the issue, it is the end of the day and I have heard nothing, and I still have the leak going.
It is also consequential to mention that I initially called J&S Services on Jan. 4 to reschedule an appointment that had been set for me by Choice Home Warranty. They actually told J&S that I had informed Choice I could not make that date. However, I NEVER talked with Choice about that appointment and NEVER confirmed that with Choice. J&S then told me that it was not surprising, because according to the J&S plumber I with whom I was speaking, Choice had not, in their experience, communicated very well with them over time.
This was my first experience with Choice Home Warranty, and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy, because you never have a second chance to make a first impression. I do a good bit of customer service training, and as a consumer, I would give them a lower grade than F if it were possible. Statistically, 68% of consumers "leave" a business, not because of an problem, but because of the way they were treated. I am in that 68% after my miserable experience of 45 minutes on the phone this morning being ignored, disrespected, and disconnected by three agents after trying to resolve the issue that caused me to cancel my work for a day when the vendor assigned by Choice Home Warranty did not show up. And I still have the leak.

This company has their excision clause written in one word sentences. It literally states: sink. Tub. Faucets. This continues to basically exclude all things they claim to cover in one word sentences in the contract. They sell you the policy prior to your review of the contract. Once you actually carefully review it it’s apparent that they are trying to undermine all coverage in excisions by using one word sentences. In addition I had the experience of being solicited for their security system. The male salesperson called me “pretty woman“ after several times stating I had a security system he insisted and even tried scare tactics. He lied and stated my neighborhood had 2 recent robberies and named the streets. I checked and this was a lie. This company should be sued for illegal practices. If you have a claim they can easily use their one word excisions to refuse the claim. Beware of this business.

The worst customer service I’ve ever had a talk. 2 1/2 days for me to get a plumber to my house after calling customer service 10 times because it was my hot water tank. Nobody was dispatched. They say 24 to 48 hours. "We’re going to get somebody out there." Nobody was sent out here, I got a list of the plumbers and I called them to see if they had gotten my address on the computer five plumbers. Nobody got the address, nobody was dispatched out. You call the office customer service, they all say the same thing. "Sorry ma’am", "Sorry ma’am", "We are dispatched", "We’re looking", "We’re looking", "We’re looking".
Then finally when somebody came out, they did not like the price of what the plumber was going to charged and they told him to leave. Five days no water and all you people could say is "Sorry ma’am I understand" and there is nobody to call. I wanted to talk to somebody higher up, somebody who can make better decisions besides the people that answer the phone and read off the script carts. This is ridiculous. I will make sure I tell everybody the worst company and all my life.

We reported an issue with the refrigerator not working on 12/29/2022—it was no longer cooling or freezing. On 12/30/2022, we were informed that a tech would visit us on 1/3/2023. While the date is longer than I would like, I understand given the holiday weekend. A technician visited on 1/3/2023 and reported several issues to CHW. On 1/4/2023, CHW states that the original appointment with the technician was cancelled. This was odd as the technician had visited the day before. CHW states that the diagnosis is insufficient. CHW claims that they use qualified technicians. While the tech was a nice guy, he arrived in a 4 door sedan (not a service van) and used no tools, other than a screwdriver, during his visit. I called CHW and they informed us that they did not accept the technician’s diagnosis and were sending another tech. CHW could not provide a date for when the new tech would arrive.
On 1/5/2023, a new tech is assigned to visit us on 1/10/2023. At this point, this is excessive. We should not have to wait another week after the initial diagnosis visit for another tech to arrive. On 1/10/2023, a new tech arrives and diagnoses the issue as a bad compressor. He submits the diagnosis to CHW and they determine that the refrigerator is not worth repairing. Instead of repairing or repairing the refrigerator, they offer $986 in Lowe’s gift cards, which we accept. The offer of $986 is sent to our email within 2 minutes of the tech speaking with CHW. Once we accept the Lowe’s gift card, we learn that it can take 30 days to receive the gift card. If we wait for the arrival of the Lowe’s gift card, it could be close to 40 days since we reported the issue to CHW. I realize that CHW is not emergency coverage but in no way is 40 days an acceptable timeframe. The delay of a week for the second tech diagnosis is excessive.
We contacted CHW—they say that there is no way to accelerate the delivery of the Lowe’s gift card. Why can CHW offer $986 to us within literal seconds of discussing the issue with the tech but needs 30 days to send us the e-gift card? Why can I request an e-gift card from Discover for Lowe’s and receive it immediately but CHW needs 30 days to deliver the same item? CHW is not living up to their obligation to provide service in a timely manner. While their policy does not provide timelines for repair, common sense would say that remediation of the issue should occur in a timely manner. The prior timelines I have detailed are not timely. When CHW states that there are no timelines promised for resolution, what is a consumer to expect? They could use that argument to take literal months or years to repair an item. They also have an open repair with our water softener that is now taking over two weeks.

I had a contractor come to my home to check on bathrooms vents that were not working and too loud. The installer got $75.00. He sent in a report to Choice and did not explain or did we get a breakdown of why we are suppose pay him $130.00 so then we would be giving him total $230.00. I called the Choice. Was on the phone for 45 minutes. Being put on hold. So the agent from choice tells me that they are giving the service guy an allowance of $265.00. The $130.00 for the contractor should be what is included in the whole matter. I am not getting upgraded fans. The only thing I am getting is the same inexpensive fans and the only thing need to be done is change them out.

The Sleepy Hollow Construction Company you scheduled to come out didn't because they don't pump systems. They are a construction company who builds new septic systems. We need our Septic and Dry Well pumped, and there is only one company here that does that. Druin Septic Tank Pumping Services. I own a Gaffers and Sattler oven. When last week a burner dysfunction I called to make a claim. I made it clear it was an antique oven. A technician came the next day, and his diagnosis was that the timer was the cause. I received an offer from Choice for $338. When I signed with Choice I was told that if repairs can't be done the unit will be replaced. I researched all appliances companies and none of them has of me for $338. Perhaps you can provide me with such a source.

I ended up having to pay the plumber $1,900 dollars because Choice did not cover a lot of what he had to do. Two hundred dollars out of the $1900 was for a new toilet. Among the things Choice did not pay was for the camera he used to go down the pipe that goes outside. He charged me $100 for that, which was a discounted price. The camera was the way he found the blockage at the end of the pipe from toilet paper.

Please don’t waste your money on this company. We purchased a home on 9.2.2022 and the sellers purchased a warranty. We submitted a claim in January 2023 on our dishwasher that hasn’t worked great since we moved in, but it’s progressively gotten worse. After CHW sent a technician out with Sears, they determined they were not going to fix our issue because “it happened before our warranty was in effect,” which is not true. We forked out $75 for the service call, and later called into CHW and spoke with someone. Her English was very broken and she was hard to understand, but that didn’t upset me. She is who said it happened before warranty was in effect (9.2.2022, aka the day we moved in). When I submitted the original claim it asked what date the issue happened on, and there’s not really an exact date so I selected 9.2.2022 since that’s when we closed on the house.
The rep we talked to said to appeal their decision by clicking a link they sent in an email, and that it would be sent up to a Case Manager that would contact us within 4 hours. Now, I’m still being patient but it’s almost 24 hours later and we haven’t heard back. I’m sure the precious homeowners wouldn’t like their money going to waste, and we aren’t satisfied with CHW choosing not to fix this issue as it is NOT a cosmetic issue, but instead electrical and mechanical. The tech who came was very friendly and was able to do what was needed to make my garage door operational again. Unfortunately the broken spring was not covered by Choice Home Warranty. The only covered item was the actual opener itself. When the company requested replacement because of age Choice denied the claim. At least I can get into my garage again.

Tried to log onto the web site to file a claim, but was not able to locate the link, so I called the customer service number. The call was answered quickly and within minutes the claim was filed. The next morning I already had an appointment schedule.

Filing a claim online was easy. I got an immediate call from the plumber. the plumber seems very knowledgeable and courteous. Very professional. Still waiting on installation. But, that’s more of a supply chain issue. This was not an emergency. Plumber said he could install immediately if needed with different equipment. But, I’d rather wait for the right equipment. I am very pleased with Choice Warranty because of this experience.

Claim was denied after tech. got here. Nowhere in my contract does it say it doesn’t cover garage door springs. I paid $2,100 upfront for a six yr. Warranty in 2018. In 4 1/2 yrs. had one claim. I recommended Choice to 10 friends of which 4 bought Warranties from Choice. I will be filing a dispute of the Denial. Will also be retracting all positive feeds on Choice Home Warranty & changing them to very negative feeds. So this is how you treat 77 yr. Old customers who are handicapped & under Cancer Chemo treatments.

The technician was very thorough in investigating the furnace, bringing it into working order and discussing maintenance requirements. The filter was very encrusted with dust, lint and very filthy. I doubt that it had been changed by the previous owner and I had not changed it. I determined the correct filter from the old one and have ordered replacements.

Chase was prompt, courteous and professional. He fixed my problem in short time and was on his way. The noise in the dryer is gone. Chase explained the problem in case it happens again. I just sign up for this home warranty, I read some reviews and most said it was the best. Also per the best 10 home warranty in America, Choice was number one. So I will give it a try to see how it works for me, before I was with American Home Shield and I never like their service because they were supposed to take care of my water heater which they didn't fix it and I have to pay from my own pocket to get it changed totally.

I went online to get a quote. The company sent out emails to me saying the service call would be 75 dollars instead of 85 dollars. The email also said refer a friend and both would get a free month. I called to ask about the emails I received once they hung up on me. The second time sent me to a recording. Finally a person. Smart mouth guy. He informed me he doesn’t get paid to lie. Well I have the emails. So I asked for a supervisor. This gentleman informed me that only the person that referred me gets the free month. But he assured me I get the 75 dollar service fee. You know after all this so help me I will drop them if they so much as refuse to pay for anything. So if you get the smart mouth guy. Ask for a supervisor that doesn’t believe you either. We shall see how this plays out.

The customer service rep was very helpful and explained everything clearly. I haven't had any service completed yet so I can't comment on that yet. She even caught the fact that I mistakenly clicked on the wrong date for the start of my policy and also patiently read back my claim number.

The technician was excellent. My concern is with having an 8 to 5 window for the appointment and not knowing until the day of the appt when the technician will arrive. This is inconvenient to have to clear the entire day for the appointment. A 4 hour window would be much better.

Heater/air connectivity repair. Repair completed. Heat and air conditioner both working. Didn’t know there was a problem with the air conditioning until technician pointed out that there was a problem with both heating and air. Problem fixed on both sides. Technician was very helpful and courteous.

While the vendor service was excellent, the experience with Home Warranty was less than stellar. After logging on to the website and selecting my "problem"--a garage door opener, I was offered several options, but could only choose one, although we were having multiple issues. The response was a claim number and that I needed to call the company. The representative was difficult to understand and there was a cacophony of background noise. What I finally understood was that I could not file a claim because I had done so in the last 6 months. Let's try 6 MINUTES!! Because I was only allowed to choose one issue and I had chosen one not covered, it took me a long time to get across to her that we had FOUR issues. She would ask what the problem was and when I would try to explain, she kept speaking over me as I tried to answer her questions. Once I was connected with a vendor, everything was smooth sailing.

Reason for “3”, scheduled appt for 1/5/23, was a no show, called vendor, no return phone call, rescheduled appt for 1/6/23 per CHW. Service Tech was a “5”, my co-pay was to be $65, but they charged me an additional 5% fee for a Credit Card payment.

It was a quick and easy process to file a claim. The technician we had for our air conditioner was very professional and checked everything out. He was prompt and answered all our concerns. I would definitely like to have Arktikos ACS & Heating to service any issues we have concerning ac and heating. The owner was the person who came out to our residence. I'm not happy with Choice Warranty. You pride yourself on having an appointment within 6 hours. This is my second claim submitted and it took about a week to get an appointment. The tech was nice. Said he'd be back today or tomorrow and no call, nothing. Not sure if this is getting fixed. I feel like this warranty is a waste of money and not worth it. Let's see if my hvac gets fixed tomorrow or if the tech took my money and disappeared.

The technician completed the job I submitted a claim for quickly and well after some scheduling issues. However, I am still waiting on him to submit paperwork for an additional issue he found with my sink so I can have that covered. I am still unable to use my sink because of the paperwork issue.

Did not provide services as promised! We had to get our own technician to fix our clogged kitchen sink! The claim form is a joke! You owe us money! We are still deciding if we want to keep this contract and if we don't get the money back that we paid out of pocket guarantee we will cancel!

The locksmith arrived in the specified time frame. He was courteous and kind. The work was done in a timely fashion and professional. I called to get a quote for my home warranty needs and was satisfied with the quote based on the "special" discount and 13-month coverage. But then the agent tried to upsale additional years of coverage. I understand that is his job but I was very clear after the first attempt that I was only willing to commit to one year of coverage. I know my needs and my financial situation and only willing to commit to one year. The agent attempted at least three more times to enhance the deal and convince me that I would be better off with additional years of policy coverage. I finally had to tell him to stop or I would pursue another company. Again, I understand upselling is his job but after a customer declines, he should just complete the initial request. Also, he quoted me $830 for thirteen months of coverage and when I got the confirmation, the total reflected $836. Not a large sum of money but different from what was quoted.

Resubmit provide me and Once Choice sent claim/ referral, the company called within an hour to schedule appt for next day. We had issues with an install of a toilet. We had the issue again they paid for it the first time but this time with the same issue they would not cover it. We are on a fixed income retirement and now we had a big expense. Why pay it the first time and not now with same issue. We bought the warranty for 5 years thinking we only had to spend a $45 fee and nothing more. Not fair. More money wasted.

About 3 months ago, our Whirlpool front-loading washer began making a shrieking sound during a fill cycle. It would still fill, but the noise was extremely annoying and since our washer and dryer are located in an alcove off the kitchen, it was especially annoying if the washer was running during times we were in our eat-in kitchen. I called in the request and the job was assigned to a local repair person who came about five days later. We started the washer while he was there and he confirmed what we had expected - a fill valve problem. The repair tech explained to us in detail about solenoid valves and how they were used in mixing the hot and cold water and frankly, talked to us as though we were children and had never seen a washing machine before. He left our house and gave us the impression he was going to order the part and then return and install same. Such was not the case.
His write-up describing the problem stated that there was no failure of any part on the machine, but that the fill valve was only "noisy". Of course the "home office" jumped on that and refused to repair the washer, sending us an email to that effect. When I received this communication, I immediately called the claims department and expressed my displeasure with the decision to not repair the washer and its failing fill valve. Several days elapsed, with my receiving calls from the "Resolutions Department" after I called and requested to cancel my warranty service contract. I was told there would not be any rebate of any unused annual payments for the contract. was, however offered a return of my $65.00 service call fee. I refused this offer and was still adamant about wanting to cancel my contract immediately.
The resolutions department finally agreed after three phone calls and their not returning one of them, that they would redispatch a repairmen and I would not have to pay another service call fee. I agreed to this and three days later a DIFFERENT service provider came, confirmed the fill valve was failing, and ordered the part (after a long bout with the "home office") concerning approval for such part. He returned 6 days later and installed the part in 20 minutes, quieting the washer considerably during its fill cycle. He did not request another service call fee and was considerably more friendly toward my wife and I compared to the first technician. The washer is now operating normally with a much quieter fill cycle.
I did, however, cancel an automatic renewal that was coming up in March 2023, explaining that this event left me with a distrust of the company's business practices and choice of repair technicians. I was refunded the entire amount of the renewal cost in 13 days by business check. We have since put in a claim for repair of our Viking Range Oven, since the original warranty contract does not expire until March. Time will tell whether the extremely slow lighting oven will be considered a repairable failure or not.

The afternoon prior to the appointment I called the technician and had to leave a message to call me back to reschedule. He never returned my call, neither did he show up for the scheduled appointment. I don't know whether he didn't come because I wanted to reschedule or just wasn't going to come. In the meantime, we decided not to go forward with the repair, just to deal with it while it was still manageable. The tech was told we want to reschedule, but never returned my call.

I had to call to make a new claim as the web site had no category for Cadet type wall heaters. The HVAC company that was going to come out notified Choice Warranty that an electrician would be the correct trade to repair our heating system. The Choice Home Warranty representative could hardly speak English and was incomprehensible. She also didn’t know the solution to my problem. It was simple, schedule an electrician to come out to our home. I had to request an experienced representative and she took care of me very quickly and efficiently. Don’t throw trainees into the fray without the knowledge and customer service skills necessary to avoid frustrating customers.

CHW was quick to respond to my request for warranty service on my kitchen faucet problem. It took several days to get someone out to look at the problem. However, it was over the Christmas and New Year holidays which made it harder to find a contractor. When a service contractor was found, repair was fast and complete. I applaud CHW for their continued effort to fix my issue quickly. I highly recommend CHW to any home owner needing a warranty company.

I submitted a claim order number ** and the technician came out and and made evaluation of the problem and called it in for approval and never heard back whether it was approved or not so he left and I was out of 45.00 for nothing. I have never so disappointed.
