My LG bottom freezer was icing up, making very loud noise. They replaced the fan unit, was good for a while. Started making noise again, they replaced control board. 2 weeks later making noise again. Replaced ther sensor. So far so good. The techs Kevin and Patrick were excellent. Pat came the same day I put the call in.

Went right to work and did as played my specific problem, managed to do the work order and ordered the proper parts and scheduled the repair for my unit as quickly as possible. Very glad to see Choice selects their representatives wisely.

Appointment with repairman in 1-2 days. Technician very experienced and knowledgeable; ordered part needed and was shipped directly to my home. Appointment to replace was made at that first visit. Returned at appointed time and replaced with new part without any difficulty.

The electrician that came out was very quick, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to my friends. He was on time and professional. Choice warranty was great to send someone over timely fashion. I have enjoyed having them as my warranty provider.

After a one week vacation, I returned to find my hot water heater was leaking. I call a friend to see if he could help, then I remembered I had Choice Home Warranty. I call Choice and message stated to go online for faster service. I submitted a claim and that day Choice started working my claim. The next day everything was set up and the claim was approved. I am awaiting delivery of my new water heater.

I had a Moen Faucet cartridge replaced. All went well and I am so happy with the new one. It works so much easier than the old one. The repairman was very helpful and I was informed the whole way through the process.

Very nice and pleasant technician. Repair dryer. Diagnosis today, repair next week. When my service runs out with Choice Home Warranty, I will use this technician as a personal repair man. Turnaround time for claim was very quick, unlike turn around time for other claims.

Hal was very professional and knowledgeable. He saw what was needed to repair fridge quickly. Parts are ordered and waiting for them to come in. The only negative: I Don’t understand why it would take 2 weeks to receive parts.

Heating unit was making unusual sounds bumping and grating. I have had other issues with several of my appliances and haven’t had any complaints with any of the technicians that have been sent to fix/ repair my appliances. They have all been respectful and helpful.

It was easy to process a claim. I just wish I was able to speak to a person to provide more details of the issue with my claim. The automated system had a hard time understanding what the issues was and I had to speak as if I were talking to a three year old child.

Technician was great. Had two separate claims and technicians was able to diagnose both after accepting the secondary claim. Warranty company then rerouted our claim and was assisted a new technician on another day, wasting my valuable time. Would not recommend this warranty company.

I was happy with the reimbursement process. However, the initial process getting a technician out there was very slow and wouldn’t have prevented disaster given the water drainage was stopped and spilled over and ruined the kitchen floor. To be fair, it took us awhile to submit everything the right way. If we can be offered the reimbursement upfront we can get authorization quicker to fix a time sensitive issue.

CHW contacted a service company within a few hours to complete my service request. My garbage disposal had stopped working suddenly. The technician text me about a time and I suggested an alternate time, as I work full-time. He accommodated and text me when he was 15 minutes from my home. He arrived on time and diagnosed the problem, and when CHW approved the request for a new disposal, he immediately went to the store, purchased one, and installed it. He made sure the pipe under the sink had no leaks, and he cleaned up the area where he was working! Did an excellent job! Would highly recommend this company!

Michael did an excellent job replacing all internal parts. Very fast and efficient. I gave him a heads up after filing the claim to make sure he grabbed it. He was assigned randomly on a previous claim and I knew in advance he would do a great job.

I was happy at first but I had told the tech that a friend who is an electrician had said that I need a new circuit breaker box because there were two places that showed evidence of catching fire in the past. The tech showed me the box and said "you don't need a new box, there is no sign of a fire anywhere. As a matter of fact this part looks reasonably new." MY son spoke with the electrician friend again who asked if the tech "pulled the box out and looked at the back, that was where the damage was evident." He didn't do that in my presence and don't know if he did at any point, or not, but I called and asked that they send someone back to double check. Thus far have heard nothing and seen no one - I don't want the box to catch on fire and burn the place down and I don't know enough to feel safe or in danger.

I reported the auto fill valve for pool was leaking on Monday for our rental in Vegas, CHW made an appointment with Rebel pool and spa on Thursday, the technician arrived on time and found pump seal was leaking too, he ordered parts and returned following day, and fixed leaks! We are so much released. Thanks CHW!

The drain did not work and the plumber did a great job fixing it. He was able to clean the drain and now it is working ok. I have used Choice Home Warranty for my own my home and for some of my rental properties.

Our technician was VERY pleasant, professional and fixed our microwave quickly and expertly. We would highly recommend him. He tested the microwave multiple times before he left to make sure it was in perfect working condition and explained what the problem was - he was GREAT!!!

CHOICE is forcing us to be without a refrigerator for approximately 2 1/2 weeks. I am 82 years old, disabled and critically need refrigeration for medication including insulin & ** as well as to survive. I can’t afford to rent a refrigerator. Why won’t CHW rush the parts via FedEx or rent us a refrigerator. Renting is $170 or a friend has an old one I can use for free but it will cost $99 to have it moved round trip. I can’t afford to pay this because CHW is forcing us to also pay $89 for a part and $45 copay. Please have a heart for a long time loyal customer. Thank you.

I put in a claim on Sunday and Seth called me Monday morning. He came out that evening and found the problem with my heat. He ordered the part and when it came in he came back and fixed the heat. My experience was very disappointing and I left feeling utterly disgusted with the ‘service’ and treatment I received. Despite having a contracted plan, I paid out of pocket for repairs as if I never had a warranty service. I will never recommend Choice Home Warranty.

Called for a repair of a water heater. Man showed up. Wanted service fee right away. Couldn’t schedule repair until he got paid. Looked at water heater. Said he would fix it if it is approved.. Still no hot water. This is day 3. Haven’t heard a peep from CHW. He got paid and left. Feel like I have been raped. You got your service fee in cash. I got a receipt and still no hot water!!! Your website is a joke…

Evans Heating and Air owner/tech was very professional and knowledgeable. He was a tiny bit late for his appointment, but apologized for the delay. I was completely satisfied with the service. He checked the system thoroughly and questioned me able possible causes for the original breakdown. At the conclusion, he provided business cards and told me to contact him if I had further concerns.

There was a leak in my heat pumps Freon system in my attic. The technician came, diagnose the problem and advise me of the solution. I have rescheduled a second appointment to have the problem repaired once the parts come in. He was on time to work, seems to be done accurately and I am very satisfied.

They fixed the problem I was having right away and even came out right away. The other company Davis Appliance Company that you referred couldn't even make it out when promised and wasn't very professional at letting me know that. Horrible experience with dealing with that company.

There was a 24 hr delay in assigning job and the job could not be completed because of a lack of the proper part. The part was ordered but we are waiting for its arrival To complete the repair. The technician arrived on schedule and was professional and courteous.

I notice a leak from my fridge and placed a request for service around 9 PM. I got an email immediately saying it was being assigned. I got another email shortly thereafter stating that a repair company would be contacting me soon. The technician emailed, called and texted that he would be here between 8-10 AM. He arrived at about 9:30. He got the part ordered and scheduled his return visit to install it. I appreciated the rapid, professional, efficient and knowledgeable response. Thank you.

This person is very knowledgeable and very polite. He was able to troubleshoot the problem within 15 minutes. He called ahead of time letting me know when he would be at the house. I would recommend him for a raise or promotion.

The first claim I made, it took between 2-3 weeks to get a technician scheduled then another week for the technician to come out but the last claim I made was scheduled in a matter of days. They increased the monthly investment without any notice but all in all, satisfied with Choice.

Service was easy to set up. Had a tech out within 48 hours to fix my washer & dishwasher breakers. Very knowledgeable and nice technician. Happy everything was taken care of the 1st time around. I highly recommend Choice Warranty.

It was a mess. When the water heater broke there was not one at home. So, water was found in the living room and surroundings. First step was to request the repair to CHW. It took almost 3 days to be provided with a technician to evaluate and get an approval from CHW. In the meantime, the need of warm water was crucial (showers, dishes, etc.). Once the technician arrived and evaluated the need (to change the water heater) and even when the estimated cost was communicated right away, CHW let the technician leave because a CHW group "would evaluate the repair". Several hours later, I got the communication that the repair was approved; however, "the water heater tank would be provided by CHW." In order to replace the water heater, I needed (1) to agree to pay $455. (2) Then, the technician would be informed. What a customer can do in a circumstance like this one. Approval was given. It took another 24 hours for the technician to pick up the tank at a given location and to install it.
Personally, and from both a business and customer perspective this process is too long, particularly with the experience that CHW should have for situations like this one. It is hard for me to accept that almost 5 days will be necessary for CHW to complete a repair/replacement in a given home, with little or not option for the owner to have the pressure of need, time, and money on him to secure a fix. I give CHW for the well-done job; I subtracted 2 stars (out of five) because of the delay and the pressure exercised (no options) on the owner.

Repair technician, Adam, was very knowledgeable and courteous. Tested dishwasher prior to leaving to ensure it worked correctly. Did not leave any trash or debris and took all old parts boxes upon departure. I would recommend Sears Home Services for any appliance repairs.

Initial claim for an emergency pipe leak in a ceiling took 3 days before I was told to find my own plumber. I did so and I am told I will be repaid for bill. This is the second time that Choice has not been able to supply a repairman. Then the plumber obviously had to cut into the ceiling to make repair and Choice wants another service fee for the repair of the ceiling even though it is a continuation of the first claim. Very disconcerting!

This technician (JD Garage Opener) is well-qualified and prompt. Choice needs to contract people like this. The one used before didn't do a good job (Josue **), as the system failed at only two months of operation! As for Choice, I'm not happy as I've been inconvenienced for over a week. AHW and Fidelity paid their contractors on time and I never suffered a delay on service like the one with Choice!!

It was very hard talking to a robot. Conversations was breaking up and I have to repeat myself many times. Re-key appointment was made a week after I called. It is very important to rekey new house - Would be nice not to have to wait a week for this appointment.

When I purchase online I do not need 4 calls in less than a minute to confirm my sales (or try and sell me additional years.) The reason I purchased online is not have to speak with a salesperson. I know what I want and I do not need to speak with a salesperson. If I did I would have called and ask for help.

My frontload washer is leaking from the bottom. Within a few hours of submitting my claim I received notice that a repair tech had been identified and an appointment was set within 48hrs. I am very pleased at how quickly this was handled.

I the property owner found a contractor to perform repairs and in return Choice Warranty did not want to take any accountability for the repairs done. Very unhappy with Choice Home Warranty and considering cancelling policy and contacting an attorney

The company was prompt, professional and immediately knew how to fix the problem. The technician also gave me some friendly advice regarding my washer. It appears that my 20 year old simple washing machine is not only reliable but easy to fix and that I don’t need to replace it. I thanked her for that.

My claim to trace electrical damage was denied, before it was even traced to verify if wear and tear damage was cause, because it has to be. There could be no other cause for inop electrical line. To not trace the electrical problem, is neglecting me, the customer a fair assessment for the damaged outlets.

This was the first time with Choice. I’ve had a pleasant experience. The tech came, replaced the broken garbage disposal without question, didn’t try to repair, what was obviously broken, and didn’t try to say it was my fault and write it off as “normal wear and tear”. I was very happy with Reagan Electrical. They kept me informed about the date and time they would arrive, Upon arrival the technician was very friendly and went right to work. He was able to diagnose the problem and fix it within 30 minutes. I would recommend Reagan Electrical for any electrical work that needs to be done.

Laundry is really piling up and my neighbors don't like me. So they will not let me use their dryer. So things are going downhill here in Broadview.

Want to recommend Choice Home Warrantee for their services. Their technicians are professional, courteous, knowledgeable & efficient & their services are prompt & fairly priced. They fixed my refrigerator that was not cooling, fan had to be replaced. They also partially paid for a new replacement dishwasher when the old one in my home was having water valve issues.

I submitted a claim for a noisy heater system. The technician responded promptly and determined the blower wheel bearings failed and the motor was also damaged as a result. CHW denied the claim and told me it was not due to fair wear and tear. When I asked what it was due to then, they were only able to repeat the script of denial and offered no additional or partial remedy. Disappointing to have a warranty to cover unforeseen repairs that doesn't cover what they say they will.

I placed a call for a heating system failure on 2/1/2023. There was much difficulty in getting a service person as apparently there is non available in my area. A service person arrived on 2/4/2023 and diagnosed the problem needing parts for replacement. The parts were supposed to be available today 2/8/2023 but I have not heard back from service person as of 7pm. Therefore I am of the belief that he is still waiting for the parts. Very distressing! And Saturday night the temperature was 3 degrees!

I contacted Choice Home Warranty this am Feb. 8 2023. I talked to Leo **. Leo was very nice and we talked about what I needed. He explained the plan to me and I was impressed with his knowledge and manner of speaking. After telling me the price of the plan and what it included. I thought that would suit our needs. Then he told me about the 3 yr. plan. It sounded so much better. When I found out the cost I said I couldn't do that now. He went to someone to see if there was something he could do. They came up with paying the cost in 3 months. That was doable. I agreed and l thanked him. I had read many reviews of Choice and knew it was excellent and now I know that Leo ** is an excellent agent.!!!

Our HVAC tech was very nice and quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. My only complaint is that we had to wait several days in our cold home for someone to come say they need to order parts and now that it has been ordered, we're going to have to pay another fee on top of our copay. We never knew there would be fees on top of our copay.

I do not like high Pressure sales. You have to sign up now. Evan quoted 3 and 6 year plans which I said I need to think about this. It is a lot of money. I am suspicious this seems like fraud especially he said, "I already have your credit card." He kept saying I have to decide now. I asked him to hold the call then Surg called. Evan proceeded to process the monthly payment. I didn't authorize this. I will call my bank and dispute the charge because this is fraud. Then he said he would refund it. I wanted a home warranty plan but I don't think I can trust this company.

I was generally satisfied with the ease of filing a claim and the responsiveness to reach final resolution. However, I was not satisfied with the payment issued to cover replacement of my appliance. CHOICE was only willing to pay me what they termed "Actual Cost" which is in fact what COICE would pay for the appliance, which is significantly less than retail cost that the CUSTOMER will ACTUALLY have to pay. This equates to half the price of what replacement of the appliance will cost ME, the customer. I find the warranty coverage advertised to be misleading and misrepresentative of what customers actually receive, which is a fraction of the actual cost it will be to replace broken appliances.

We had a water backup and I expressed the urgency of getting it fixed as we could not run any water. We waited 20 hours and made two phone calls before any tech reached out to us, stating they'd be to our house FOUR DAYS later. In order to use our own plumber, there were more hoops to jump through which were not conducive for an emergency situation. We ended up paying out of pocket, but because we couldn't wait for the back and forth approval process, and had to get the work done before awaiting pre-approval, we will not be reimbursed.
Previously, we had dishwasher issues and were told we would get a new one. we were given only $246 credit in the form a LOWE'S gift card, which we are yet to receive. The amount would only cover the installation of the dishwasher. I am convinced that your company makes claims so difficult, that people give up and you don't have to pay out. For all the touting of how well you allegedly take care of your clients, we have yet to see evidence of it. Once we finally receive our pittance gift cards, we will be cancelling our policy. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED.

The technician who came to my house, did NOT have the full work order of items I had requested to be looked at. He was able to fix the leaking knobs in my shower, but only after he waited an hour to hear back from CHW about covering the cost of new knobs. He was also able to provide a recommendation on how to fix my fridge that wasn't making ice, it was a simple twist of a knob! I'm so glad I didn't have to pay another service call fee for this because I knew it was something a plumber could fix. The technician wasn't super friendly but came in and did a good, efficient job and communicated well with me throughout the process.

The technician quickly determined that the garbage disposal needed to be replaced. He got authorization and quickly switched out the bad disposal. He was professional and courteous. Other than the $85 there was no additional charge, without Choice Warranty it would have cost me over $250!!

I thought the heater wasn't shutting off as I ever had to heat my house with a heat pump. The technician explained to me that I can't turn the thermostat up five or six degrees. They must do with gradually which I didn't know.

It seems to me every time I make a claim they come out and the first thing they say is the part I need isn’t covered under the warranty, so I pay a 65 dollar copay for nothing. This has happened twice now, so for me this warranty is useless and when my warranty expires I will not be renewing. One time the technician gave me a 4 hour window and never showed up. No call or nothing..

The only reason I cannot rate my experience a 5 is due to scheduling process. My appointment was scheduled for Saturday 3 to 8 pm. I called tech directly to get an eta only to find out they do not work weekends. I called Choice Home Warranty was advised my appointment could be cancelled in efforts to find someone sooner but could not be guaranteed a sooner appointment or even the possible Monday.

What Choice Home Warranty offered was the most comparable. They laid out everything, the cost and what it covered and didn’t, and it was a locked-in price for four years. The agent sent me a packet in the mail and there was a card in there. I got that card on the refrigerator, so if I have questions, I would just call that number. You better call Choice and get signed up and not mess around.

We had one claim where Choice Home Warranty came out to fix plumbing in the bathroom up front. And they came out on time. I was a bit concerned, because when I checked on the reviews for that, they were all negative. But they came out, it was a little easy fix. The guy that came out was polite. He was quick. Went and got the part, came back and fixed it. And it's working fine. So, I'm a bit concerned about how Choice chooses who to come out.
I also made a call a month ago on our fireplace. But the lady that I talked to said that was not covered. It was the first time we've had an issue with it, but I've never tried it with the prior people we had. It was put in when the house was built, so I was surprised that that would not be covered. I looked through the papers at the time, because I thought, "No way." But I couldn't find a list of what is covered and not covered. We ended up going through the phone book, and they're coming out today to fix it. We just can't get it to light. I'm hoping it might be something super simple because it's gonna cost. So, we're keeping Choice. Hopefully, we don't need a period. But the next time we have issues, I'll switch.

I'm not having a good experience with Choice Home Warranty. I didn't understand their contract. I had a garage door opener go bad. It went off track. And I didn't know it didn't cover it if the door fell off track. They only cover the motor of the garage door opener. And they asked, “Didn't you read it?” I didn't. But they told me that they would give me half my money back if I just put in a thing. And the guy that I called out wasn't connected to them. It was just a mess. That was two months ago. And I still haven't got half of the money back. But they keep on saying it's coming. Once this ends, I'm not going back with them. It's not worth the hassle.

I switched to Choice and their claims process has been great. It's really easy. Contractors make an appointment, techs come right out and they fix my stuff. Most of the time, I do my claims over the internet. I've had two so far. I've only called and talked to somebody once. Techs have been very good. They gave me pointers and told me how to keep up on stuff and what to do. Choice has been a real godsend. I’m on disability so I can't do all this stuff myself anymore.

I had a problem two months after I had Choice. It had to do with the expansion manifold in my heater. It's the part where the flame is dispersed from. Choice said that their technician said that it was preexisting. I said, “How can he say that when he's never even seen my furnace? How can it be preexisting when it worked perfectly fine until it didn't?”
My technician said that there was no way to tell if it was a preexisting condition. He asked if it was working and I said it was and we never had any problems with it the whole time we've lived here. I said, “It just started doing it where it would stay on for a little while and shut off.” He told me that that is what happens when they go bad. They crack and they start doing that. That meant that was not there before.
My technician says it wouldn't work right if it was cracked. If it was cracked before, he said it would do the same thing. What it does is it lets out too much heat and the thermal shut-off kicks in and it shuts it off. There's blowback. The flame comes rolling back toward the exhaust or toward the manifold that's supplying the flames. He said, “When it rolls back there, there's a thermal protection that's designed specifically for this. Because this happens in units that are old. When they crack, the flame rolls back. It gets too hot right there in the area. And to prevent the house from burning down, it shuts off.”
I talked to Choice and they still denied the claim. I told Choice, "Why don't you call and talk to my technician that came out here and looked at my furnace?” They said they didn't need to as they have technicians that have been in the field so long and they consult them. I asked them, “What do I need you for? You said you cover stuff like ceiling fans and other things in my home. I put a claim and, willy-nilly, you could just say, ‘Well, that was a preexisting condition. We're not gonna approve your claim.’ So, this does me no good to have this.” Also, they did not even send anybody of their own people out to look at the unit. They were just calling from the desk and it was ridiculous to me. I canceled my warranty and told them to give me my money back.

It was the coldest day of the year and I called Choice to help get someone to fix my heater. They gave me a runaround and said they can't do it for two weeks. I had my family there freezing and Choice wouldn’t help me get someone in an emergency to come in. When you have an emergency and you explain the emergency to the people who are supposed to be helping you, they should try to help you. Choice didn’t even try and that was the only time I used them. I was really disappointed with my service. My family's safety is paramount and they didn't seem like they cared one way or the other. So I showed them that I don't care either.

Choice talked to me and it sounded good. The rep just started and I didn't get whole feedback from her. She really just started out, not even a month or two. But she thoroughly explained quite a bit of stuff that she knew but there was a couple of stuff I was still wanting to have answers for. When I call her back, it goes to a different agency and then goes straight back to her. Other than that so far, so good.

AC Unit was not blowing heat out of the ceiling vents. I contacted Choice Home Warranty and they scheduled me an appointment with Robert Cook Heat & Air Co. The gentlemen arrived and asked what problems were I having. I told one of them that I was getting cool air out of the vents. Next question asked was do I have clean filters in my unit and I replied, yes. They immediately went around to the outside unit and ran a diagnostic test. It was noted that my unit had to be reset and two pounds of freon was added. Now I have heat coming out of my vents throughout my house. Thank you Mr. Robert Cook and your assistant.

Our furnace was having issues and we had no heat. Claim submitted on Sunday, contractor showed up on Monday & diagnosed problem. On Tuesday, CHW approved the part that was needed and contractor was able to pick up the part, install it and fix the furnace immediately. The online system seems to have flaws. It would not let me submit 3 plumbing jobs. The staff are quite often difficult for me to understand. Part of it is a language barrier. My dialect ( **) may be partially part of the problem and most of the support I have talked seem to be of ** descent. It is quite often difficult for me to understand what they are enunciating, yet it may also be difficult for them to understand me as well. However, when we do communicate properly often the issue at hand is not resolved. Today, finally I got an issue resolved by speaking with a resolutions manager named Reno. He was excellent.

This is the 3rd time I’ve tried to make a claim. It seems that there is a clause for everything to make sure the warranty doesn’t pay out. This company is a scam! Anyone looking into using this company should be warned. If it’s possible to get a refund I’d be interested to hear about it. The people on the phone are hard to understand, and keep on saying the same thing over and over again.

Choice Home Warranty has chosen to not pay the technician to remove the tile in our shower to access the leak and put tile back. He has to remove the tile on the front wall and possibly have to replace it. Without doing this he can’t fix the leak. No one has reached out to me to try to resolve this matter. So if he can’t access the leak, he can’t fix it. And I certainly can’t blame the technician because he should be paid to do the work. I will not be renewing this warranty if they don’t take care of this properly. And I will post on Social Media my experience.

Filled out a claim for no heat. Took a week to get a technician. Technician stated to me and on my copy of paperwork that inducer motor not working and needs replaced. Technician told CHW that it failed due to water intrusion. That is not true since I changed the motor myself and no water is in the unit. I think they do what they can and hire technicians to not cover the problems.

When I called to sign up for a policy, the first representative I spoke to was rude. Rather condescending. If my daughter was not as happy with your company I think I would have hung up! The second representative was way too pushy. Kept pushing for me to increase my policy even after I said no several times. Offered a senior discount and a veteran discount but only if I extended for 6 years! He finally stopped when I said I thought I made a mistake choosing your company. Then he was just rude. I am still trying to decide if I’m staying with you. I am researching other options.

Came home from work Saturday night when it was 30 degrees out to no heat. Tried for a while to get it going and finally did but had put in for a service call too. I got a quick response that a technician from Total Comfort was coming out who found the issue quickly. The part is being put in on Wednesday now. I paid for for your coverage and then pay for the fee for someone to come out and then you don’t cover the full replacement costs. Another company would have. Not happy at all with this company. Our air handlers, first floor failed to work properly on 02/05/23, the upstairs unit although operational at times it would suck up the filter holder. I contacted Choice Home Warranty and they immediately took care of my request. I also received a call from Hometown Heating & Air. Ian responded to our abode, he was knowledgeable, caring, informative and educational. His attention to detail was excellent. The replacement for the motor will occur on 11 FEB 2023.

Stoppage in upstairs sink. Toilet upstairs does not refill back with water. Downstairs toilet runs without flushing. I would recommend Pharoah Plumbing LLC to anyone that has a plumbing problem. Service from tech was great! Offering gift card to Lowe’s to apply to new dishwasher within 30 days, this limits the purchase to be made at Lowe’s. Options would have been better. Secondly, it can take up to 30 days to get the discount card from Choice. Then we may have to order a dishwasher and so the perception is that the process is way too long. Got really cold down here for Florida and I noticed that my supplemental heater in my Reverse Cycle air conditioner did not appear to be working. I had to turn on the kitchen stove to heat the house back up to acceptable. Called Choice and they sent a fellow over next day who found that the heating element had shorted out. He ordered a new element which was brought out and installed 3 days later. We are warm again on our rare cold days! Thanks, Choice HW!

I bought my policy after a real estate agent recommended it. Unfortunately, I don’t think the policy is worth it. Of course Choice Home Warranty cannot cover everything but I didn’t expect to pay 1300 dollars for a policy only to pay another 65 (service fee) to be told the company won’t fix my appliance, nor will they replace it. We had an issue with our HVAC fan not operating properly. Choice connected us with L&F HVAC same day. The Tech explained what was happening and replaced a contact that was overheated. So I’m to be fair and accurate. The snake oil salesman promised in kind replacement of appliances and we bought it. Repairman recommended replacement and offered us $246. to purchase an equivalent dishwasher. That amounted to sponges and a case of Dawn. When I challenged the offer I began to research compromises at Frigidaire. Of course I could not find a $246. Dishwasher. I listed the features of my current dishwasher and a lovely Frigidaire employee actually found a dishwasher that had 5 of the 7 features of my current appliance on sale for $300 off and at Lowe’s at $546. I was willing to accept this. I was told no. I was told that this would cost Choice would pay for a dishwasher. I was adamant that I was willing to accept a dishwasher with less features. After a brief consult with a supervisor the Choice representative offered $346 in Lowe’s cards to be delivered within 30 days.
Well the $300 sale was expiring on the 8th and supplies were limited so we used our credit card to purchase the new dishwasher. Don’t ask about our boiler that hasn’t worked since the middle of January despite us hiring a repairman, submitting the same invoice 3x, broken appts. to discuss the issue and a temperature of 49 degrees in our main bedroom last night.

We had water leak in bathroom and it was fixed. Only complaint I have is, the leak messed up up my flooring and Choice doesn't cover floor damage. That should have been covered since water leak caused the problem. I feel like they should pay for the flooring. Other than that Choice Home Warranty is worth the coverage.

The plumber Jerry was experienced and great customer service, explained what was found to be doing. I'm pleased with his service, I worked differently refer Sassaman plumbing to anyone who's looking for a plumber, his secretary is friendly when she called as well, they are fast and efficient work, call if they are running late.. Called yesterday to file a washer and dryer claim. Confirmed by customer service (Deve) that it was for washer and dryer. Email rec'd. Only showed washer so I called back today questioning the claim. Have to file separate claim for dryer which was not a problem as long as it will be done by same tech who’s scheduled to come on Wed Feb 8. Alex from tech support advised that I call Sears to tell them to include the dryer on their service. To me since you’ve screwed it up then I expect you to fix it. I’m told that they may reassign this new claim to another contractor which didn’t make sense to me. Very inflexible. For a company this big I expected more than this meager service. Fix it.

A leak occurred at the water pressure regulator and CHW was notified. They called Iron Mountain Plumbing who was quick to respond and was able to repair even with poor weather. CHW then followed up to be sure the problem was remedied.

3 times out. No work has been done. Refund please. Somewhere there was a breakdown in communication to Choice Home Warranty. I shouldn’t have to pay for all three service calls. Chris has been nice and can state the problem why is it not fixed.

Had to have electrician out twice, but the second time he nailed the problem in 5 mins. Since he knew he had to return the next day, I bet he was thinking about what the problem could be, because he sure did find the problem quickly.

They have contracts with qualified repair technicians in all types of covered appliances. I had 1 previous experience a couple of years ago that is why I know they are the best!

The offer I was given was not nearly enough to purchase and install a new comparable dishwasher. The service technician was very good and the service was prompt. I hope this is not an indication of future claims. I still have to wait for 2 to 4 weeks for the payment to arrive by email for a Lowe's credit e-card.

Refrigerator door would not close properly, allowing outside air in and causing temperature to be too high. Food was spoiling. Choice Warranty got service for me within 24 hrs. The tech that came seemed to have fixed the problem. The only thing I did not like about him was that he did not advise me how much he was going to charge my credit card before he ran it. He also seemed to have an odd sense of humor & I really was not in the mood to joke around, having to throw out so much spoiled food with such high grocery prices. He said the problem was that my floor is not even. I have had this refrigerator for over 10 yrs & never had this problem before. I will have to keep a close eye on it. He was not able to make the door to freezer and refrigerator flush. I don't recall having them uneven before experiencing this problem.

I switched to Choice in May because of bait and switch tactics from other home warranty services. Choice was better rated by customers so I gave it a shot. Expanded our plan with pool spa coverage after speaking with sales rep who verified it covers salt water pools. Fast forward to August and the pools Salt Water Cell fails. File a claim online. Asks me to identify the system at issue from their list. There it is, Pool/Spa. Asks for specifics from list. There it is, Salt Water Cell. Claim placed. Guy comes out. Pay the 85$. Says it's definitely salt water cell, but all out of stock, back order up to 6 months. Says he'll call.
Fast forward to end of January. No word, no salt water cell. Check my what's covered link to verify coverage, lists Pool and spa. Cool. File another claim online. Choose pool spa. Choose salt water cell from list (it's still there). Get a new guy scheduled Feb 1. Shows up, yep salt water cell is bad, they're in stocks! Have to get approval. Pay 85$, he leaves files for approval.
Get email within 15 minutes. Denied. Reason? "We don't cover salt water cells. Read your coverage." But I did. It's even on your dropdown menu. Why offer it as an option if you don't cover it? Why not cancel the claim with explanation of non coverage instead of letting me pay 85$? Twice! Turns out Choice is bad. The real "what's covered" is very well hidden on website. Tiny link hidden in small text at bottom of a page. Bad business. Pool guy was fine, helpful.

Tech was on time and polite. He made fast work of repairs and dryer works great. He cleaned the lint out of dryer vent while he had the dryer apart and he cleaned up the area when he was done with repairs.

He was fast and accurate, knew the problem and went right to accessing. He was pleasant and social and he has been here before and we prefer him. I don't like paying the $85 to come out that seems a little excessive. Since he was here less than 30 minutes it takes me a few days to earn that much. And being retired it is a chunk of money that I can't afford besides paying a monthly amount each month to keep up the warranty.

We did get a repairman here the next evening. His name is Albert E. He checked everything & knew right away what it was. It was a piece that had to be ordered & asked if any other problem. The rubber around the doors needed to be replaced so he ordered that too. We are waiting for the piece to come so I can’t comment on the completed job yet. Hoping to get my refrigerator working soon. Really need my refrigerator working quickly!

Choice Home has definitely saved me money due to a bad period of appliance break downs. My last repair of my dryer took only a few days (which was awesome). However my refrigerator/freezer took 40 days that spanned over Christmas (horrible). I was allowed to change repair companies on the dryer (Sears took the job and then advised they could not come out for 9 days). However I was not allowed to change companies when my AC broke in the middle of the summer and that company had a long delay on getting parts. The initial appointment is usually quick (except with Sears on my dryer) but then ordering parts takes a long time (except with company that replaced Sears). I wish Choice Home would send me a list of repair companies and let me decide instead of just assigning whoever replies first to the service. I would definitely like Champion Appliance Repair (dryer) if something else breaks down.

Person forwarded claim to agency to service our issue. A time was given to us and NOT to the agency that was to service us. We lost a half day with the time window given to us. We called agency and they have not received a time frame to service our claim. Very poor communication on your part.

The HVAC tech was great. However I still have not heard from anyone regarding my Garbage Disposer. Claim #**. Please send someone asap. I am did like the outcome of my claim. Primarily because I did not have the opportunity to review the results of the work up by the contractor. I should have had the opportunity to review and agree to the write up. I was also not clear on what the warranty covered regarding roof leaks.

Easy to get ahold of. Sometimes it's hard to understand the person on the phone. But very pleasant in manners. Usually can service the call within a week's time. I have been very satisfied with the coverage. I didn't realize they had coverage for the pool and then I wasn't able to add it until I hit my 1 year mark or I would have added that to my plan.

I thought the technician Marcus was very professional and experienced. He knew what was going on with my fridge/freezer and washer. Unfortunately at the time Choice warranty wouldn't cover the freezer problem but he fixed it anyway. CW wanted me to thaw out the freezer and risk all my food spoiling! Which is not satisfactory! My washer couldn't be fixed and will need to be replaced, I don't feel the e-card is enough to replace it but that's your policy. I think it's outrageous I have to wait 30 days for the funds and be without a washer all that time!!!

I have been 4 days with no air conditioning. Then after day four a rude tech who Home Choice assigned to my claim told us he did not have the proper insurance to do repairs in my building. He further stated that if I my building needed him to be properly bonded and insured, I would have to pay him $150 on top of the $65 service charge.
What building would allow anyone to do repairs without being properly insured? We told him he could not come then called Home Choice who agreed to send another company. However, henceforth, after my 1/2-hour call, I receive notice my claim would not be honored until I pay the tech for his phone call trying to shake me down for an extra $150. See Home Choice's email below.
"CHW Posted a message on your claim:" "We are unable to proceed with your claim until the service call fee is paid to the vendor. The service fee is due once the vendor is on route to the home. Claim is closed." I then spent another 1/2 hour calling Home Choice back and had to re explain what happened to a different Home Choice operator, since the first one seemingly did nothing to fix the problem. I still have not heard back from Home Choice. I should not have to spend so much time and get stressed just trying to get service on the expensive warranty plan I paid for. I am very disappointed in Home Choice; I hope they make this right.

My friend recommended this unbelievable price for 6year one. Normally they will try to sell yearly or 3 yearly kind, but go for 6 year one to get the max benefit, no other warranty company has so far offered or given. Just give a call and check it out. Ronald is one of the great to contact to.

My technician, Paul was very kind and thorough with explaining the process with me on my water heaters. He had all tools needed for his work and proper lighting. His first move was to be safe and turned off the breakers to the house.
