On time and friendly, he knew exactly what he was doing and always able to tell me about other things that needs to be fixed on my home.. He was encouraging me to call for addition help even if it’s something small.

Call was handled quickly and claim was processed quickly. Received appointment with in 24 hours. Wait time was within 10 minutes and received confirmation email before I hung up from with appointment information. Rep that took me claim was very curious and friendly. He provided me with everything I needed for my claim.

I pressed Enter on my request for a quote online and with no exaggeration, my phone rang within 30 seconds. What followed was an informative discussion of what was offered in the warranty but when I said I was shopping around for quotes, that was not acceptable and the discussion immediately became a very pushy sales call for me to sign up and pay for multiple years of coverage at discounted prices. While the offers were great, I knew what I wanted, yet the salesperson had difficulty accepting my decision, leading into an argument over it. I did end up signing up with Choice Warranty with the terms I wanted but the call was incredibly annoying.

I just placed my first call for the home warranty service. I was given a claim #, and that's as far as we've gotten so far. I'll be happy to do another review after the repairman visits. I have already told a friend of mine about this service, so if all goes well, she will be my recommendation.

Adam our service technician was very knowledgeable and addressed every issue our clothes machine had. Unfortunately they may or may not repair the unit as he mentioned it’s a very expensive and extensive fix. So we’ll await the email in regards to this repair.

I have a good experience with filing the claim and technician came in timely manner. He took his time to diagnosis and explained to me what's going on and how he can fix it. I did not like the solution offered though. The insurance wants me to take a gift card worth of $191.00 for my microwave diagnosis rather than fixing it.

Stopped up plumbing at sink and even water from dishwasher was sitting and draining into the floor. All is well now. Plumber was very efficient. No mess left for me to clean up! It was a quick "problem solved". Just had to remove the outside drain cap and use a tool to lean out the drain pipe. Everything was done outside of the house.

Slow service, usually takes 1-2 weeks for the first visit and another 2 weeks before items are fixed. Constant battle to get CHW to approve legitimate claims. Horrible customer service, I think out of South America. Do a search on-line. CHW is the subject of a lot of complaints and litigation. They settled a lawsuit brought by the Attorney General of New Jersey; the Attorney General of Arizona brought suit, and they are being investigated by the Attorney General of Texas.

Air It Cool came out and repaired our air conditioner. Frank, the technician, was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. We would recommend Air It Cool next time we need air conditioner service. I was disappointed not to receive same-day service for my early-morning claim, but perhaps that was the best you could do for us.

AC was blowing hot air. The air compressor would not engage. Replace the capacitor and the problem was fixed. Great experience. Quick, fast, and right the first time. Awesome. Would recommend it to a friend. Hope future claims work this well.

We placed our claim online, the appointment was arranged quickly and the technician's request for approval was also handled quickly. Josh from John and Sons LLC arranged our appointment time, was prompt, thorough and took care of our AC repair quickly and professionally. We were VERY pleased!!

I filed a claim and within 2 days, had a plumbing company call and scheduled an appointment. I had put up with a leaking kitchen faucet for a couple months but the plumber took care of it in less than an hour.

We are extremely pleased with the technician that came out from Oceanview Heating and Air Conditioning. He did a terrific job of explaining what was wrong with our HVAC unit and how we could proceed in repairing it or our options as far as replacing it goes. When they came to replace the unit they were respectful of our home and wore booties on their shoes and were very careful not to disturb anything. They were also very respectful of our decision as far as the replacement went. They came and replaced the unit with the professionalism you would expect from the A-Plus superior company that they are.
As far as we are concerned, we would highly recommend them again and again. And Choice Home Warranty took responsibility for the repair of the unit and reimbursed us to cover the amount it would have cost to repair the unit. Thanks Choice Home Warranty for a job well done for the reimbursement and for recommending such a great company in the first place. Choice Home Warranty is NOT ANYTHING like the "other " home warranty company that we have dealt with. They are a true warranty company and you can expect fairness and dependability from them.

Start up was strange. Had someone call out of the blue that directed me to someone else. That person took all my info and I said I needed to talk to my wife. He said he would send over the plan so I could review it and never did. Asked for him to call me around 430 mst and he called at 245 my time. Said he would call back and didn’t. I reviewed the ratings and it was more than my current company and only $15 more but covers so much more, the deductible is even less. I had to call back to set up my contract but so far so good.

Fast claim number, clear info. Only issue was phone number for the company assigned had an extra number in it so had to look up proper phone number. Needed to change the assigned date and when I called the company was very accommodating.

I found out the limitations of the warranty and I was disappointed with my findings. The technician was excellent and knowledgeable. The knowledge which now I am equipped with I know how to proceed. I'm also disappointed with the deductible required, I believe that it is much too high.

Despite no water over 30 hours, waiting for you to find a service tech, despite CHW not finding a tech, I immediately found Adam ** Plumbing (very nice young man.) He pinpointed problem quickly & replaced the Pressure Switch. Running water again!!!

Alex came to my home to fix my toilet and garbage disposal. Alex was very nice and courteous and he explained what needed to be done and he was very respectful of my home by making sure he didn't make a mess and he cleaned up after he was done. I felt comfortable with him coming to my home. If I have issues in the future, I hope Alex is available to do the job. Alex gets the job done and he does is right and fast.

Great job when the technician finally showed up. When I am given a time frame of 4 hours and the time frame is almost up and did not receive a call to let me know he was going to be late. I had to make the call myself to find out when the tech would be here. Other than that great job.

Tech let me know when he was on the way, got right to work diagnosing the dryer problem, had the part with him to repair and left with the dryer in working order. He made sure the dryer was working and all was in order before he left. Much more professional than the first technicians assigned, who couldn't return calls and failed to show for a scheduled appointment.

Was assigned to a case manager, I sent message through email but did not respond. After 4 days I called and spoke to that case manager. No apologies for not replying to my email, even asked me what is in the email.

So when Shamir talked to me he was very convincing. He sold me a great package so I thought of course, To my dismay I found out on Tuesday, the 7th of March that I was missing something. Come to find out you are like McDonald’s, have it your way. That is all good but how would I know if I was not given a choice one way or another. This is what I know: I have a house, this house has appliances, it has many systems. Let me start with the property, I have an Inlaw quarters, I have a well and I have a septic tank. A new septic tank was installed before I moved in 5 years ago. Needless to I am overwhelmed by the lack of communication I actually had with Shamir. I have more to say but I am already at 709.

Tracey ** is an excellent customer service representative. She explained plan options well, was patient and personable, and answered my questions in detail. I was very pleased with the the coverages, teacher discounts, no inspection clause, and company ratings by the Better Business Bureau. I purchased the Total Service Plan for six years and will receive my last year at no charge. Pricing was very affordable. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty to family members and friends.

Tony my technician that came out was on time, polite and handled my situation. It did not take him long to diagnose my problem and provide with an answer. I would recommend him to anyone. Service was great! It did not take long for Choice Warranty to send someone out to my home, 24 hours. I paid for 3 home warranty a few weeks ago and was told The Total policies I paid for were the best. Now I find out to get my air conditioner repaired my part is $1285.00. Your system does not allow me to click on air conditioners to see what is paid for different situations. Then when I call to ask I was assigned a specialist that takes 24 hours + to get back to me. I have 3 policies for 3/4 years now and not sure if I like this. JIM **

When I purchased this insurance, the sales representative assured me that if anything goes wrong with my appliances, they will either repair or replace it with equivalent model in the market. And the only thing I need to pay is the service fee. But when it really happened (my dryer Kenmore Elite Heat Plus Quite Pack 4) they came and said it cannot be repaired. The technician told that it would be all fine and it would be replaced. But two days later I got an estimate of claim amount which is $335, where the equivalent product market price is $1000+. When I contacted them they mentioned that in our contract we have a statement "We reserve the right to offer cash or cash equivalent in lieu of repair or Replacement in the amount of Our actual cost (which at times may be less than retail) to repair or Replace any Covered Item". The statement is so vague. What is "Our actual cost"? What is the basis of that cost? What does it mean by "may be less"?
That means, if the product which went wrong cost $2000+, as per their claim specialist, it means they can give you just $100 and ask you to stay happy. If this is what means Home Warranty then this is nothing but a Fraud. I would highly recommend people to STAY AWAY from CHOICE HOME WARRANTY. A fraudulent company who earns billions by sucking the hard earned money from general consumers. These companies should be sued.

I notified the office this am, if you could get the heating. System working due to my ill health. Christen promptly worked on it, and tried every means to help me, in fact she planned to send a space heater in case we don’t receive the parts today. However, it didn’t take long, she was able to get the parts and technician was sent. In fact the tech was so prompt and did his job perfect. Been with Choice for five years. I have had two claims. Both were denied after I paid the service fee. They just look for reasons to deny your claim. You would be better served by putting the monthly fee in a account and paying yourself.

CHW has been great resolving my claims except plumbing related issues as a result of having difficulty locating a best matched technician in my area. While CHW offers a reimbursement option to find my own technician to resolve my issue, the process is complicated and necessitate multiple phone calls to ensure reimbursement gets processed. Inconsistent answers and sometimes rude customer service agent from multiple contacts creating further frustration. Creating further frustration.

I wish you offered more of the full value of my wash machine and not a fan of having to use Lowe's gift certificate and it could take 30 days? My replacement cost on the washer is $500 but you only offered me $373.

We are not pleased at all. The service was so slow, we ended up paying for the replacement ourselves. The repairperson was great, but your part of the problem was terrible. Would never recommend dealing with your company ever again.

We have the Choice Ultimate plan and Choice refuses to cover our plumbing issue. We are currently unable to use two bathrooms, the dishwasher and washing machine due to a clogged pipe. Choice will not cover the drain line clean out as it needs to be accomplished via the roof or with a company who utilizes a camera. The technician they sent out was a handy man -- not a plumber. The technician tried his best and we were pleased with his effort. The scope of work is just beyond his expertise.

The person who reviewed my claim jumped to the conclusion I abused my garbage disposal. I have submitted an appeal. The Plumber who arrived at my home was nice & professional. I was pleased with him but not with the claims specialist.

Didn't fix my refrigerator but did offer me a small (very small) reimbursement of $450.00 on a $3000 refrigerator. I would have rather kept my old refrigerator and saved a few bucks but it is what it is. Might not have happened had I not threatened to cancel home warranty.

The technician who replaced our bathroom exhaust fan was very polite and had our problem resolved in under 15 minutes. Would highly recommend him for future requirements. He arrived at our house on time and was obviously well prepared for the repair job.

The only comment I have is really with Choice Home Warranty I referred people and I pay every month you send someone who doesn't work in Charlotte where I live the plumber said he can squeeze me in on Thursday because he'll be in Charlotte but I get a message he can't come back till Monday. So I can't use my toilet for another week. This is not good and why would the plumber not come prepared to fix it that day. So the work is still not done due to today is Thursday and I have to wait until Monday. I blame this on the the customer service representative that didn't provide all the information when I said the pipe needed to be replaced.

When my A/C failed to start. I tried several thing to cool down my house. I called in and was told I could get faster service if I go online. I went online. Input the requested information. Within a few minutes I received an e mail from the company that was assigned my case with a date, time, phone number and POC of my repairmen. Fast service.

If you are looking for a home warranty company, keep looking. This company has terrible customer service! It took them a MONTH to get my garage door opener replaced! Last year it took them about 6 WEEKS to repair my home Airconditioning system in the middle of summer. I had to go buy window units in order to be able to sleep. If you call in a work order, they use a foreign source to answer the phones, they can’t speak English very well, there is so much background noise you can’t hear the agent on the other end. If you request to speak to a supervisor, their response is they have 24 hours to return your call! My advice is DO NOT USE Choice Home Warranties, they are the worst company I have felt within the 10 years of having a home warranty.

I was shopping around because I already have a home warranty on major appliances in my house. I spoke with a representative. His name was Bruce. He was very knowledgeable, very nice and he cut me a cheaper deal on a plan. He was determined not to lose me as a new customer and he got me!

Updated on 03/18/2023: I have a Ge Built in Oven that has been here since the beginning of time. Recently I have experienced some problem and contacted Choice. They sent out a service person that address the initial issue quickly. As with older model of appliances, when you fix on issue, another might occur. Well, Choice sent out additional assistance and we are still working on the issue. The most important thing to remember is that they eventually address the issue and make them whole. Great Warranty Program!
Original Review: Had them come out to take a look at my Oven. They got the parts, needed additional parts, they got them too. This One was in the unit I purchased some 20 years ago. They solved my problem. Air Wolf is the "greatest".

Had to have tech come out put new ice maker in nothing happened. Should have checked to see if water was even coming in here. Didn't. No water coming in. 2nd tech came out said they needed to be replaced... He ordered parts coming out Thursday. Hopefully they can get this fixed so far not really impressed with the warranty for the money I'm paying..

I have called multiple times, I’ve been waiting a week and a half, still no service. I was actually contacted by one plumbing company that said they will no longer do business with this company. I have requested numerous times to speak with someone in the US but they won’t even put someone on the phone that speaks English. Very frustrated. Been paying for this insurance for years and this is the very first claim.. Thinking of dropping??

I selected this company for home warranty and my garage door needs a repair. I entered my claim and it was rejected because they claimed the spring is not the right size. I've owned this home for 7 years and the previous owner had it for 15 years. If the spring was the wrong size then how could it work all this time? They made every excuses not to pay for the repair. I thought home warranty is too good to be true but I thought I gave it a try and I am right. So don't waste your money and stay away from this company especially. They are horrible.

Our A/C started leaking. I called the Choice Home Warranty Insurance and had specialists coming to look at it within 24h. It was very fast response on their end, good service. The issue was solved, I will recommend this company.

Response to my claim was quick. The technician was able to immediately diagnose the problem and he had the part in the truck. He made the repair quickly, quietly (important because my wife works from home in the next room), and cleanly.

Received a good estimate on services for 13 months and I went with it. The sales person was able to work with me in defining a great rate and it was a successful transaction. I would recommend Choice Warranty as their policy has changed to cover quite a bit of additional equipment with very little additional cost.

My electric bills were over $400 for two straight months. I noticed my heat was running all day and never fully reaching the temperature it was set for. My technician JW thoroughly investigated and found my system was wired to turn my AV and heat on simultaneously. He fixed the problem and my heat has been adequate ever since.

This was the first time I had a home warranty issue and I was pleasantly pleased with the experience. I reported the issue in the evening and Choice Warranty had scheduled someone to look at the problem the next day. The technician arrived, surveyed the problem and received to go ahead to fix our garage door. We are very happy with the whole process.

Updated on 06/23/2023: I believe Chase Home Warranty is a fraudulent company that no consumer should put trust in. I have been a customer for years with no claims and then had to place two valid claims that were denied and after many calls and threats to sue the company, they still would not replace a two year old appliance and only gave me 40% of its value as a claim and said it was clear in the policy that is all they were obligated to do. There are many other warranty companies much better than this one, but this is one of the biggest not because of quality or service, but because of mass advertising.
I would strongly recommend staying away from choice home warranty as like me, you may be paying for years and not need a claim and then find out very quickly that you wasted your money as they will hide behind policy language and fine print to deny or reduce your claim when you need them. This is a two year old refrigerator that was just out of warranty, they would not repair even though the parts were available and they only paid $949 to settle claim and arrogantly said to read my policy language as they don't have to fix or replace. This company is BAD NEWS!!!

Choice responded very quickly to my claim with a scheduled repair time (same day as I submitted the claim). Timely follow-up from contractor, and prompt arrival time. Friendly and efficient service technician. I have had two claims with Choice so far, and they have both been very positive - heads and tails above the previous home warranty company I used.

The tech was able to determine the issue was not a malfunctioning a/c unit, but an electrical issue. A follow up visit by an electrician friend of mine confirmed this and he was able to easily fix the problem after a few minutes (a bad connection).

At first I was disappointed, the first tech came out and it was determined that it was not the dryer but a electrical issue. So a electrician had to be called. The first guy acted like we should of known this and was bothered by us wasting his time. The second guy (electrician) was great. Fixed the problem with no issues. However I did have to pay for the second service call. So only one star for the first call and 5 for the second = 3 overall.

I would have given you 5 stars, but I didn't think I should have waited until the following week to get a plumber to my house. I talked to the plumber who was assigned to me he was to be here between 3- 8 pm. He did call me and asked to take a picture of my faucet which I did and hadn't heard from him since. That was Tuesday. I called on Thursday. I had to wait you sent him another request or whatever had to wait to see if I heard from him then on Friday you put in another work order for a different plumber. I want you to know they were awesome! They came on Monday at the time they promised and had it fixed in no time. Five Stars for Arizona VIP Plumbing. They were awesome.

My heat went out late Feb and later that next day had to buy another furnace. They looked at air conditioner and said, "Oh that looks rough." Tried to turn it on and it wouldn't turn on even when set low. I paid 7,000.00 for furnace and air conditioner.

Constant price increases from other companies had me do a price check. Hopefully this will not happen with Choice. American Home Shield has been my warranty for 9+ years. A better policy cost was offered when I told them about canceling in April 7th, 2023 but could not match Choice.

Very professional agent. Went over all of my options. Satisfied with contract I purchased. Looking forward to working with your company if the need arises. Read customer reviews and they seemed pleased. I have had AHS for years and when compressor in my HVAC went bad this winter 30 degree temperatures took them 31 days to repair. I had to use my repair company for repairs then they reimbursed me. We had 4 diagnostic estimates and it still took that long to approve.

I had to call a Plumber in my area because CHW could not locate anyone after a week of reporting my plumbing issues in my master bath. Today they came to fix the sinks but did not have time to complete faucet on garden tub. I will have to reschedule a time for 21/2 to 3 hours for them to come back. Luckily I went ahead and purchased parts for sinks so there was no waiting time. Still wondering if I will be reimbursed.

I placed a claim by phone, fully describing the problem, including a description of the faulty part. I was assured there was no problem and an agent was sent. After the agent verified the problem and called Choice which denied the claim. Therefore I was charged 60.00 for no service and I ended up paying the agent not only the 60.00, but 200.00 extra for him to fix the problem. I have no problem with the agent - he did what he came to do. I think that I am owed at least a refund of the 60.00.

Very fast response after my initial call with a claim that my dryer was not drying completely. Technician from Complete Appliance Service arrived as scheduled and performed a thorough diagnostic test on the dryer and determined parts have to ordered to complete repair. He explained it would take about a week for parts to arrive and he would call to schedule new visit.

Needed a leak under my kitchen sink fixed. It took two times. The second time they had to replace the parts that were possibly worn out, with that the leak is done. The questions were repetitive and some didn't make sense. I stated I noticed the dishwasher leaking two days ago during a wash, and was then asked if it was leaking water.

Dishwasher stopped working but repairman was not able to find the correct part for the 20+ old Kenmore model. Choice said they would replace the dishwasher after trying to work with them for about six months. They offered me only 246 dollars to replace it with a model from Lowe's. Not enough to buy a dishwasher and would barely cover an install. Will not renew with them again!!

Two of the exhaust fans in my 2nd floor bathrooms decided they no longer wanted to work and Andrey from IV Tech came and repaired both of them within a few days. Overall, I like my warranty with Choice Home. They are quick to process claims and when I pay the service fee the tech comes numerous times until the problem is fixed. Only thing I’m not a fan of is the rising rates and the little stipulations on what is or what's not covered.

I needed an electrician ASAP. When I first put the order in my scheduled time was for a week later. I can’t be without electricity for 7 days. I called and they changed the work Order to 2 days. It turned out there was a line down and the electric company was going to do the repairs. I canceled the original claim. I love that I always get to talk yo a human person. I was with another warranty company and typically waited a day to speak to someone.

Service tech was very polite and arrived on time. Diagnosed the problem quickly. I was dissatisfied with CHW resolution. They only offered a settlement amount (much below replacement of any kind) and only in the form of Lowe’s gift card. When I asked for a review of the decision and amount, the result was simply being told the same thing I had already read in the email. I understand you are offering the amount CHW can get a replacement for - and that it’s obviously going to be less than a consumer would pay. But the amount is grossly undervalue. And on top of that, I’m limited to shop at Lowe’s since it’s given in a gift card. It doesn’t seem like good business to force a purchase at a specific retailer.
I would have preferred CHW to purchase the unit themselves and install it - I don’t care about knobs or color! I just want a working microwave. You offered $191 for a built in microwave. If you are claiming to be giving me replacement cost, you can’t lowball with your bulk purchase price, then restrict my retailer choice by issuing the funds in a gift card. This experience has made me decide I will never recommend your company, and will actively warn people away from your company.

We have a problem with either our water heater or a pipe underneath the water heater. I called in on Friday the 3rd. Since this is the weekend, we have had no response by someone to come out and look. We hope by Monday that will be solved. We are without water directly, because I turned it off at the street. That also means we have no hot water. If this gets solved on Monday the rating would go up to a 5-star rating.

We were very pleased with the local vendor. They were very responsive, incredibly helpful with scheduling, and ultimately, changed out a worn and broken garbage disposal. The workmanship was top notch. Nothing but good things to say. However, my only minor issue is with Choice Warranty automatically scheduling an appointment without us consulting with the vendor. In the future, the automated system should give the customer and the vendor the opportunity to communicate first before setting a date/time. Thank you!!

You are a good company and you could have received a 5 star rating from me if you had showed up within the time frame you gave me then. Your time frame was 2 hours and you didn’t make it in time so I had to wait until your Tech came. The Tech was friendly and he did a good job and was very respectful and he was very helpful and he did everything he was supposed to do. When you have a time frame you should be able to get to the workplace within your schedule time so that the customer can be able to do other things he had planned for the rest of the day.

Furnace was malfunctioning. The technician diagnosed the problem and fixed the furnace explaining things as he worked on it. The technician also gave me some pointers on how to improve the efficiency of the furnace. I would recommend this technician to friends and family.

I have an U-Line under counter ice maker that sadly needs replacement. I have insurance with Choice Home Warranty (CHW). They stated the replacement cost for a REFRIGERATOR Ice maker for $400+. I have an UNDER COUNTER counter ice maker. The replacement value, for the U-Line under counter ice maker is close to $4k. In addition, I paid a separated fee for the under counter ice maker. Does anyone know how to get a fair payout from CHW? I hope someone there has a little integrity to do the right thing. Sorry to have to post this. I was told by the sales person if anything went wrong they would replace it.

After not being able to repair my microwave. I get an offer that does not cover the purchase of a new one. Then I'm told, no one will come and install the new one. Then telling me it will take 30 days before I receive a Lowe's gift card.

Ok, this is all recorded when I called, waited till Saturday for our appointment (we are off). Liked the option for saturday was up 6am, in the window of my loft cleaning getting ready for the guy and he drove up, snapped a pic, sent message "Missed you," I have Ring and 4 cameras. He never even pulled up to my house. He was at stop sign. I have a recording to prove all!!!! No phone# to contact anyone, worst company ever, call CHW. She did the best she could to help (she was so sweet) but we requested new company. Still had to get someone to be in my home to let guy in not once but twice during week. Problem still not solved and guy said he will get back to us, spent 20 bucks at the laundromat and 3 hours of our day of still have piles of laundry and on top of all that this was our very first claim!!!! Really?

This is the 2nd claim I've filed, the appls could not be rep'd. I was offered an amt less than the replacement val of both items. When I bought this cont I was told I would get the replacement value. I will not recommend CHW to anyone.

The first tech told me to move the washing machine and he'd come back after his next appointment. I had the part ready to put on (part warranteed). We moved it. He never called or came back, and I had to call the office. The next day, another tech kept wanting to leave because he expected me to clear out my garage to hook up a hose. I hooked the hose up myself, and it only took me 5 minutes to do. He said I could pay cash and Choice would send a receipt. I never got it.

It wasn't getting hot. It tripped the breaker. And tripped the breaker in the box next to the water heater. He pulled it out and push it back in. He waited a few minutes. It had began to get warm. I'm still waiting for it get really hot. I guess it will be by tonight. I wish I had known about the box next the water heater. Google didn't mention that. I would have been able to check it myself. So thank you for sending the repair man. I learn a little more from him.

So main toilet started leaking a while back and toilet in Master bedroom was replaced because it would be running all day. So I called CHW and they came out and told us that parts are old and hard to find. I told him we knew that from first toilet. I tried looking everywhere for parts. I did not appreciate them saying parts were tampered with. Handle broke off So I emailed a complaint to a Case Manager.

I haven't used my plan and hope I don't have too, but, I feel sure that I will have a great experience. I like that I can even use a contractor of my choice. Our shower was clogged, which led to toilet leaking on floor and basement drain leaking. We contacted CHW on 02/23/2023. Our claim was picked up by Simco to come 02/25/2023. Don showed up demanding his money in cash, took pics and said he was going to submit the claim and can't do anything until it's authorized. On CHW site it says "Our authorizations process is streamlined to make sure you aren’t waiting around for a decision on a claim. (No Calling In!) We’ll get you authorization within 10 minutes while you’re at the home, texted right to your phone.". He says they (Simco) don't do that. All he said he was claiming for was a wax seal for toilet and snaking of the drain.
After getting an authorization a day later, got an appt for 02/28/23. Don and his associate, Chris, came in and in less than 20 minutes, Don and Chris packed up saying we aren't authorized for this, we asked for what, they said get a second opinion (we didn't hear a first opinion), they even said this is why we don't even talk to customers they rushed out of our house and left (they were hostile and we were left questioning what the heck just happened).
CHW was contacted about how bad it went, and they said wait for the tech's submission. 03/02/23 we got a denial email for our claim based on it needed further servicing (not clarified). I had a new plumber come out, do a snake job due to the buildup in the pipes and it is cleaned out now and draining. CHW asked for my bill which said it was a drainage problem that was cleaned. CHW said they won't do anything because not authorized first (half my house wasn't working and this back and forth-and getting denied was pointless), and they don't authorize for cleanings anyways. The wording of my bill was used against me due to not saying clog (which once a clog is removed it's clean-so it got a cleaning) I paid, on top of my service fee, a total of $703.80. The case manager lady wasn't empathetic, put me on mute a few times, and hung up.

The response and service are awesome. However, it is not easy to reach someone to reschedule. You scheduled very quickly for the next day. When I tried to change, it said I needed to give 24 hours notice. I managed to reschedule but I still received a reminder of the first appointment. I wanted to be sure it was cancelled but had a hard time reaching someone. Also, I do not appreciate you calling every other day 3 months in advance to get me to renew.

Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions. He gave us plenty of options and explained everything. He went up on the roof and inspected the system, then inspected the registers and the thermostat. He told us about the filters.

Our technician arrived if anything a bit early. He literally took the fridge apart trying to figure out why the temperature inside the fridge did not match the set point. He determined the cause and ordered the needed parts. He will come back when the parts arrive.

The work provided was excellent. I did have an issue with CHW providing me with accurate time frame. I got word of a change in the schedule but it didn't reach the technician and I used the previous scheduled time to run an errand, thus missing the assigned work. Still, I am glad I have this service provided by CHW.

It only took the serviceman less than a minute to see what the problem was with my garage door. The sensors were not facing each, keeping the garage door from closing. The serviceman was very knowledgeable. I would recommend this company.

Riprock Appliance Repair team is very knowledgeable of the products they service and know how to and what needs to repaired. The service person Aaron is friendly, kind and understanding. Process to submit claim was very easy. Email from CHW gave me a time and date completely different from the text received. Text said between 7am-11am and email said 11am-3pm and to contact the service company if the time wasn’t good. Tried reaching out multiple times through text, voicemail and on CHW website, no one ever responded. I had no idea when someone was coming or if anyone received my messages. The service Tech called 20 mins before arriving at 9:30am and was great! Just wish there had been clear written communication. We wouldn’t have been available after 11am and couldn’t get anyone to confirm what time they were coming. The tech was personable and professional. Did an excellent job!

We asked for repair for the hot heater in our home. It was declined and we do understand because it had been leaking before we purchased the home warranty but we didn't realize it until we didn't have hot water. The water heater was in a closet and we just hadn't checked it because we had hot water.

A big shout out of appreciation to Christian ** who patiently walked me through all the contract and usage issues/terms of the policy. There are a lot of bad actors in this business of home warranty so I wanted to approach the contract carefully and fully understand the conditions. Further the services in Hawaii are often not what they are on the continental US so I had a number of questions to ask. Christian gave me full answers to the questions and proof of credibility with Choice. I am a happy camper to get many of my household pieces of equipment under total warranty rather than going with specific makers or specific house service equipment such as a refrigerator warranty etc. Excellent job Christian!

I will start off by saying that, rather than buying a Home Warranty, you are probably better off saving the money to use for repairs when actually needed. I have been with CHW for over 2 years now. In that time, I have had a total of 7 claims. Of those, only 2 were fully "covered". Early on, they had issues with finding us technicians. And the techs they did find weren't very good. The first technician missed his appointment and the follow-up appointment he set. It took him 3 weeks to actually get out to our house, and he arrived late. In the end, none of those issues were covered at all. Then there was an A/C issue that was fully covered.
This time, we took the "reimbursement" option and choose our own tech. CHW did reimburse us for this repair, but it also wasn't very expensive overall. The other ticket they "covered" involved a failing washer. CHW opted to "replace" the washer rather than fix it. But instead of sending us a replacement, they instead offered to just send us the "money" to pay for a new washer. The money would be in the form of a Lowe's gift card sent virtually. And even with that, it can take them up to 30 days to get you the "money". That means sitting without the needed appliance for 30 days waiting on them to actually "pay" to "replace" the covered item.
So in conclusion, buyer beware. I don't believe CHW is any different from other home warranty companies. I'm sure the experiences we have had are an all-too-common occurrence. CHW's customer service has always been decent and quick to respond. However, in the end, you are better off just saving the money for repairs yourself. This way, you get the item fixed sooner and you get to choose who fixes it.

My refrigerator stopped working February 6, 2023 reported same day they sent someone out two weeks later. They said they was going to order parts and fix. It never returned so they sent another company out. They told me that it was leaking antifreeze. It was nothing else that they could do. They never returned, never called, got an email again, third email from Choice Home Warranty. They sent someone else out and he was here yesterday which was 2 March 2023. He said that he was gonna order parts and try to get it fixed. I received an email this morning saying that they was going to send out a fourth company to repair.
No one‘s taking care of anything for me yet. I’ve been without a refrigerator about 30 days now. You can’t believe, can’t trust anything that Choice Home Warranty people tell you, you have to speak to a supervisor. They’ll tell you, "There’s not one available and I’ll put you on hold" and then I hang up on you. Called back second and the third time waiting for a supervisor or manager, the second time they hung up on me, third time they transfer me and the guy said that they would have someone out here on 6 March 2023.
I’ve taken time off from going to doctors appointments and taking making sure my grandkids OK and they still can’t get anything done so they told me they will call me back today is March 3. It is about 4:34 PM, I live in Newnan Georgia and so far I haven’t heard back from him yet again today. I advise anyone do not choose Choice Home Warranty. So now I’m waiting for appointment for the 4th technician.

The service technician was very professional. He gave me a call upon arrival as requested. Upon his arrival, he removed his shoes before entering and was wearing mask. He was in and out. He explained where the problem started and answered questions about how the issue was resolved. He answered my questions and concerns that I had a concerning plumbing issues.

We were very pleased with the service tech from Autumn Air who evaluated our 2-tom AC unit. However, CHW denied his recommendations for repair/replacement of our AC unit. I'm not sure why we are paying for a home warranty if we cannot receive for a failed AC unit. BTW, this unit was working effectively when you cashed my check for this warranty.

The repairman did all that I expected him to do. He called ahead of time, and let me know approximately when I could expect him. He arrived within that time period and was courteous to me and others within our household. He assessed the problem and gave me the possible solutions. The technician was outstanding. The process to make the claim was pretty easy. I felt the delay of 19 days for the technician was too long. I cashed out and felt the amount offered of $343 was not nearly enough, but the case manager refused to budge an inch. I'm over $500 out of pocket for the new one and while it is very nice, it does not have the features nor the capacity of my original unit. This left a bad taste in my mouth.

Updated on 03/13/2023: Our Washing machine was leaking. Tech advised replacement due to old age and numerous items that needed to be repaired.. Am now waiting for a gift card from Lowe’s to help cover cost of new washing lacking. The technician was knowledgeable and very pleasant to interact with.

Denied my claim. The issue was caused naturally but my claim was denied. I've been a loyal customer for many years and never missed a monthly payment. I would give zero stars if I could. This company abuses the loyalty of its customers. I may end up canceling my service with Choice. They have lost my respect over the lack of assistance.

Our 12 y/o Electrolux dryer started making a weird noise so I called Choice Home Warranty. You know the one who claims they will cover normal wear and tear. The ones who advertise with a big smile that they will replace or repair your appliance. Well, the repair man gave them an estimate of less than $500 to repair it and Choice Home Warranty said they would call me to talk about replacement. I received no call, no email, no text for 3 days. Finally I went to the web site and looked up my repair. There I find out they are going to send me a gift card to Lowe's for $335 to replace my $1300 dryer. I told them that was unacceptable so my "case manager" very politely tells me he will see if he can help raise the amount.
BTW, this was my second call, where some young lady after listening to me, put me on hold for 25 minutes and disconnected so I had to call back. Then Sean my "case manager" came back with another offer of a $458 gift certificate to Lowe's. I could find the dryer in the matching color to my washing machine at Home Depot, but noooo. It was Lowe's or nothing. I asked him why he didn't just pay to fix it for the same amount. He said because of its age. I reminded him there are only a few parts to a dryer. I asked where he thought I was going to find a front loading Electrolux in blue for less than $1000 and he explain that they don't have to replace your unit only a comparable unit with the comparable features. They also do not pay retail.
So there you are. Another company with misleading promises to get your money and a big "too bad for you" when you need service. Then for the pièce de ré·sis·tance I'm emailed that I will receive it sometime within the MONTH! I can't shop for what I want and pay the difference. I have to go to Lowes, whenever they decide to send me the gift certificate.

Updated on 03/04/2023: My refrigerator broke in the beginning of February. It is now March and I still have no refrigerator. They’ve had servicemen come out twice coming up with the same issue - refrigerator is over 20 years old and no available parts. Refrigerator doesn’t work and will not work because it is a hazard. They then wanted me to wait another week to have yet another service person come out and diagnose the refrigerator. After hearing from the repairperson and a review they cancelled the 3rd service call and awarded me an e voucher to Lowe’s to purchase a refrigerator. YEAH. To then find out it will be another 30 days to process the e voucher the another 7-10 days to send it to me. BOO HOO. Another 40 days no refrigerator. Can you imagine that I will have been over 90 days without a refrigerator.
This company has no customer service qualities. They do not care about the customers. They collect their premiums and let them wait. I could have purchased a refrigerator for a lot less than it cost me for the inconvenience of no refrigerator. I am a senior citizen on a limited budget who has to go out to eat and have to pay someone to care for her pets because they have specialty food needing refrigeration and I no way to keep me refrigerated meds at a regulated cold temperature now affecting my health. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Original Review: I called because my refrigerator stopped working and smelled like the compressor was burning. On 2/18/23 they send a repair person out and he diagnosed it as broken, unrepairable because parts are not available due to age of refrigerator. They didn’t agree with the diagnosis and sent another repair person out who diagnosis was the same.
Now almost 1 month later they wanted a 3rd person to come out to again diagnose it because they did not have the information they needed. I have taken 2 days out of work that cost me $1,200.00 and now a 3rd day which will cost me another $600.00 the cost of another refrigerator. Now they are doing their decision another was and I was told it would be another at least day to make a decision. It's been almost 1 month without a refrigerator. Unacceptable. It’s a Samsung RB1855sw refrigerator/lower freezer with ice maker. All I want is a working refrigerator.

Our toilet was leaking water, we could not use it. So we had to wait till the Choice sent someone out to fix it. So they arrived 2 days later and had to order a part and will return to fix the toilet when the part comes in.
