    Our experience started out well. A gentleman from pro service came out to check our dryer. He told us he would send in what was wrong with our dryer and someone would get back to us. He heard our washer when he came in and told us that it was a bigger problem than our dryer. We had planned on taking care of it after the dryer, but after he told us what could happen, we called it in the next day. Someone from Sears called us on the 24th and said they would be out between 1 and 5. No one showed up and no one called.

    In the meantime we had been trying to find out about our dryer. It turns out they had the wrong email address and we hadn’t been getting our emails. We were told we would get a Lowe’s gift card for a little over $300. It was our understanding that our machine would be replaced with a comparable machine. We were told someone would call us within 24 hours. We kept getting calls, but they were sales calls which was a disappointment every time it wasn’t someone to help us. In addition we keep getting sales emails (somehow they have the right email address).

    Finally, we were given the name Crystal ** who is supposedly our case manager. She was helpful and polite, but she said said she couldn’t give us anymore than $450 in a Lowe’s gift card. I told her that I needed to buy the dryer before March 29 when the sale at Lowe’s ended, but she said it could take up to a month to get a gift card emailed to me. We went to Lowe’s to buy the dryer while it was on sale, but were told we couldn’t use the gift card for the dryer if we put it on a charge card or financed it.

    Back to the washer. Ms **n tried to get in touch with the technician we had to begin with, but couldn’t so she rescheduled for us. We didn’t get an email so we called back in and was told our appointment isn’t until 4/3. I tried to call the company to get it moved up. I got a recording which said they had an appointment for 3/30, but when I tried to change it, it said something went wrong. It said to click on the address on the email they had sent (which I didn’t receive) or if I didn’t get the email to use an email address they said so fast it couldn’t understand it after calling back 3 times. At this point, I haven’t gotten the email gift card for my dryer and no one has been out to look at my washer. I have had to have my laundry done at someone else’s house for the last two weeks. I am extremely frustrated.

    Stay away from Choice Home Warranty. I purchased a warranty from them and hardly ever used the services for about 10 months. And then the one time I experienced a plumbing leak, they denied my claim as it looked to them like it was physical damage. A drainage pipe in my master bathroom on the second floor of my home experienced a sudden slow leak. A plumber was sent to my home. He discovered one of my drainage pipes deep behind the cabinet under the sink had a crack in it. When he submitted to Choice Home Warranty for repair, they denied it due to physical damage.

    I appealed it and was told by the case manager that Choice Home Warranty does NOT cover pipes if there is a crack discovered. If this company offers a plumbing warranty for wear and tear but does not cover cracks--well, I think you know where I am going with this; how can anyone have peace of mind that their plumbing is covered -- so long as no cracks are discovered. STAY AWAY FROM CHOICE HOME WARRANTY.

    First, the technician did not or could give a set date, time, it had to rescheduled, the issue is not resolved, you denied the claim, I tried contacting the claims office, not one in the center at time of call, the report submitted was accurate, CHW changed the wording, I would like to request a copy of the report, I tried using the machine, same issue involved, I now have to submit another claim, and have to pay another service fee.     First and foremost make sure you read all policies and guides and once you do that Choice Warranty will provide everything you need. They are replace my air handler with cost a lot of money. Now I do have to replace my outside unit but they are giving me a discount on the part and negotiating for a flat rate to install it instead of me doing it so I'm getting a really good deal like basically I'm getting a new ac that could be 8 to 9 thousands for less than 4 and I'm running into hard time and I wasn't going to renew my warranty but there's a great thing I did so choice warranty is the way to go.

    The first time I contacted Choice regarding my "free" rekey for my new home, they sent me an appointment notice but failed to tell the locksmith they had an appointment. After waiting for the 4-hour window they gave me, I called the locksmith and found out they were never notified of the appointment. Choice rescheduled and the morning of the appointment I called the locksmith. Choice DID notify them but gave them the wrong time. Luckily the locksmith was really nice and sent someone right over so I did not have to waste another 4 hours of my hard-earned vacation time. And the "free" rekey still costs the $75 service fee.

    Tried to submit a claim online for repair of a built-in microwave and a dishwasher with a latch problem. I entered my email address and policy number and clicked on "Log in". Nothing happened. I tried a couple more times and still was not able to log in. Tried again with a different web browser and still not able to log in. Finally I called the phone number and expected a live agent. Instead, I got into a computerized system and was able to submit the microwave claim. I had to file a second claim for the dishwasher, although the repair person could probably fix both issues in the same visit. I received both claim confirmation numbers by email. I was notified it make take up to 48 hours for a repair person to contact me. Hopefully the repair person will fix both issues in a timely manner. We'll see.

Was on time, diagnosed the issue, would need to replace, but this particular unit has been upgraded to a larger one. John, at Reliance, didn’t feel good about the new install because he would need to cut into drywall, and the unit would leave a gap. John replaced the motor, and put and made a temporary fan blades, until the new one comes in.     A leak developed in our kitchen sink. The water escaped and ran from the first floor to the basement. The leak as reported to Choice on Monday morning, the next day. Choice advised the Service Rep would come on the next Wednesday. He came as stated and determined the faucet had to be replaced. He said he would send a request to Moen for a new faucet and it would be sent, by Moen to our house. Moen did not send a new faucet, but did send a repair part. However, the part was not received until Wednesday, at which time Choice was notified. The Rep came the following Monday and completed the repair. Both service reps were efficient and knowledgeable. However I was not happy with the amount of time our kitchen sink was out of service. We called on a Monday and the service call was not completed for two (2) weeks. That’s a long time to go without an operable sink in the kitchen. Hopefully if there is another call, it will completed sooner.

    Unfortunately I did not use my better judgement and decided to sign up with this Company February 3rd 2023 after speaking with Eric ** who was quite persuasive. We moved into our home last year and we heard about Home Warranties and decided it was worth maybe getting it as you never know. I questioned a lot of things with Eric like we have been here a year and if something breaks will it be covered even if it is old. He said, "Yes of course it will all be fine." I said ok and stupidly took his word. We paid up for a whole year. The contract was effective March 3rd. Two days ago March 20th as we heard the weather was going to be warm we turned on the AC and it was not blowing cold air. I called Choice and asked if someone could come and take a look. They said, "Yes of course," and we just pay the $75.00 fee.

    The technician came out and said there was a leak and the system needed to be replaced as it was old and these things happen. I asked if it could be fixed and he said it would end up being more expensive. He submitted the claim and the next day the quick response came saying denied and I could appeal it. I did and when I called the person who spoke to me was quite condescending and just kept telling me it was not covered as this was a PRE EXISTING CONDTION and was not working prior to the start of my contract. I said it was working fine last Summer so how can it be pre existing. How would I know it was not working until I turned it on. Well the conversation deteriorated from there. I said, "Give us our money back and cancel this contract that was just effective from March 3rd," and he had the audacity to tell me we would not get a full refund.

    The communication with the service reps need improvement. Sounds like they read from a script but don't answer any questions. At this time, I have not received anything in writing stating the job will be covered.     Have always had good service once I get through the robot that answers the phone. Do not have a computer and prefer to talk to a human not a robot when I call anyone for a business reason. It took 3 calls to get a human so I could put in my request for service.

    This could have been a better experience had the rep I talked to initially been willing to help. My issue was for a heater, it was 20 degrees outside and the call center rep was smug and condescending. I had to escalate the call to a manager before I was helped. Even then the rep refused to let me speak to a manager until I told him I’d call corporate headquarters. The technician however was phenomenal, recognizing the sense of urgency and completing the job promptly.

    The service tech that came was great. However, like a few of my past experiences, there is a loophole in coverage so I had to spend almost $800 out of pocket. I was a client years ago and I discontinued my coverage. When I re-signed up last year, I was told the loopholes in coverage have mostly been removed. Well - my spring on my garage door snapped causing damage to my door, the end coils and hooks on each side (not sure of the technical terms). The only thing that was covered was the coil. I had to pay out of pocket for the rest.

    This is the second time that Max Appliance Service has come to my house for a repair. I cannot express how professional and knowledgeable the technician that came to my house both times.     Locates and schedules professional techs that come in a fair amount of time. Everything can be done online including scheduling and contacting assigned tech. CHW covers everything as contracted.
