It has been 17 days since I called in for service, MY septic tank just needs to be pumped. No technician found in 17 days so far. Will keep you informed as to how long it takes for a reply on your claim.

Our appointment was between 8:00 am and noon today and our technician is a no show and no call. My wife waited until 12:20 before calling and your representative told her to be patient. He was rude to her. Sears needs to have a little more courtesy towards the people waiting. Just contact them.

Did their job. Yes. I was going to call you but got sick. Still sick. The salesman did his job. The other should have stayed out. Thought I was senile and was trying to get me to sign on to everything he could think of just to get more money out of me. The first salesman was nice. I wasn't going to say anything but the more I think of the conversation, I am pissed at him. Because I am 94, he was trying to bleed me. They never told me there was a 75.00 charge. I realize why the fee and it is justified.

AJ from Jumpstart was very thorough and replaced my broken ice maker in a short period of time. Very professional and will use them again should I need another repair. Jumpstart did a good job in getting AJ out to our home and fixing our problem.

Called to update the city that populated on my address after purchasing a warranty. Representative could not have cared less and kept interrupting me only to try and upsell me on a longer policy term, literally minutes after I just made the purchase. Not a great welcome optic. I then declined the offer several times only to hear the representative question my intelligence for not wanted to spend an addition $1400 over the phone. You are extremely lucky. I just paid for the policy and have had a good experience in the past with Choice Warranty. Otherwise I would cancel my order. I understand sales, I work in that realm myself. Do better

I've emailed the CEO, Jim Mostofi, in addition to posting this across all review sites. It's time this company is held accountable for its actions. I've had my policy for 14 months ($798). I filed two claims for an AC unit and a plumbing situation. You sent out a technician who charged me $180.00 for the service calls (it was the same technician). He came out four times, saying he hated coming out here because it was so far. He showed up late every time and fixed nothing with a variety of excuses (i.e., I forgot the equipment at the office).
I called in early May to cancel my membership. I was promised a refund of the service call fees I had paid since nothing was repaired. That's $180.00; I have the receipt (attached). I was promised the month of May for free to give the company another chance but was charged on May 24th, 2023, for $56.93. I was also told they would put my 2 claims in their system again and not send the previous technician. They did so but couldn't find anyone else to come out. I was now on my own to pay my own technicians.
I called today to get my two refunds, as I haven't received them yet. I also asked to cancel my account. The revenue retention person said that I was given incorrect information and that the service call fees weren't refundable (I was told they would get the money back from their technician). And they told me I didn't qualify for the free month of May since I was canceling. But they don't have a technician for my work. I asked for a Manager, and she said she was the most senior. She verbally confirmed the cancellation of my policy but refused to refund anything. If only CHW had processed the promised refunds, totaling $236.93. I suspect your efforts to deal with this situation have already cost CHW much more in payroll for their horrible staff that's had to "not" address the problem.

We had an appointment for Saturday between 7 and 11. They didn't show till almost 1 pm. The repairman was nice. He found what was wrong on my air cond and had to call in for ok to repair. They denied coverage. Sent complaint in and said it would be replied within 24 hours after working hours. It's been over 36 hours and no one has called to tell me why it was denied. At this time I wouldn't even give it one star

I had a problem with the garbage disposal leakage. I called to report the problem. I was assigned Promax One to come on Tuesday May 30th. The technician called on his way to inform me his time of arrival. He diagnosed the problem then removed the defective garbage disposal and put in a new garbage disposal. The technician did an excellent job.

I only signed up with Choice because they have been rated the best. Did my research. The sales staff, however, was very rude, pushy and insulting. So much so that I went online and purchased the plan myself because I still wanted it but didn’t want to give him the commission.

CHW responded promptly to my claim over the Memorial Day holiday. They quickly located a vendor, who came out on time and did great work. He replaced the fan motor that was covered by CHW. We were completely pleased with their help.

Right now I am totally confused. I put in a claim this morning & the plumbing company got right back to me very quickly. They gave me an appt. for a week away. That's too long a wait. But, I have gotten at least 3 emails from CHOICE about the claim. One of them is giving me a different appt. than the one I got from the plumbing company. Like I said, this is too confusing. Yes, I could call either the plumbing company or CHOICE, but I did not create this problem. I appreciate CHOICE keeping me informed, but 4 total emails & a phone call is too much. It sounds like the right-hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Communication between CHOICE & their contractors needs to be better.

Choice Home Warranty is great in issuing the gift voucher. The problem is that us have to go into the store to use it. I live in another city which is 4 hours drive away my mother. Choice Home Warranty should issue a Lowe's credit card that could be used online. The problem was with Lowe's on delivery.

Technician was polite, courteous and professional. He explained the problem in Herat detail. His work was complete, efficient and effective. After researching numerous companies for home coverage, I found CHW with a price for coverage that no one else could match. Luke was very courteous and informative. He answered all my questions and put me at ease with all the concerns that haunted me. I would recommend Senior Citizen Discounts to anyone that may qualify for this service. CHW is a life saver.

It took more time waiting for Choice Authorization than it did to do the job. I was unhappy with the delay. No fault of the tech, but he arrived near the end of the appointment window. It took less then 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and 35 minutes waiting for authorization and 7 minutes to complete the job. Unsat!

The item has developed a problem that CHOICE decided that it was not covered by contract. I feel strong that the company has not made the correct determination and placing the blame to the failure due to mishandling, abusing, of the oven's capability which caused the problem. I have made an appeal to their determination and look forward to having CHOICE come to a more favorable decision and therefore repair/replace the Microwave Oven.

The technician came to my house and made the determination that my dishwasher only needed a replacement part. I then got an email from Choice stating that they would replace the dishwasher. However the amount that was proposed will not cover a replacement.

I am EXTREMELY impressed with Synergy. These guys worked so hard at replacing a broken part VERY QUICKLY so I could have AC again upstairs. They even came out 1 day earlier than scheduled. They had to come back a couple of different times for various (understandable) reasons. Usually that means a contractor won't come back for at least a week (because they focus on another job that makes them money). Not these guys. They came back SAME day (couple times) and then the very next morning. Seriously, I have hired a TON of different contractors, including HVAC. I was quite impressed with the service. I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Synergy and will def use them again.

I am very disappointed on how this job has been handled. It was urgent that I get my water heater replaced and 5 days have passed and still nothing. I get an email from Choice Home Warranty that I had an appointment today and no one comes so I call the plumbing company and they don't show any appointment for me. I call Choice Home Warranty and they don't have anything either, then they put me on hold and disconnect me. Really bad service. They don't care about the customer, neither does the plumbing company.

I was told I would hear from a repair provider with 48 hours. I am assuming that's because it was not an emergency. That would be unacceptable if it were an emergency. My only issue is that the person taking my claim had a very heavy ** accent; I had a great deal of difficulty understanding her.

I contacted Choice on Saturday 5/27 about my air conditioner, a claim was set up right then. It was very simple and easy. The repair team came out on Monday 5/29 (Memorial Day!) and fixed it. We are very satisfied with Choice Home Warranty.

Updated on 06/15/2023: Choice Home Warranty has the worst Customer Service I have ever had the displeasure to have to deal with. I called on the 12th of June 2023 and spoke to Marj, I think, because I could hardly understand her. First of all she refused to transfer me to the Resolutions Department, whom I spoke to in May, that told me that the check I have been waiting for since 20 March 2023 was going to be sent right out. This Marj first told me that a check for $155.00 was sent to me in January 2023 via the USPS, which I told her I never received, then she says they can send me another check within 30 days at my cost of $30.00 or for free in 90 days.
I told her she was crazy (this phone call was supposedly recorded, I hope) and that I was not paying $30.00 nor waiting 90 more days and would she please transfer me NOW!!! This went on for over an hour, Marj would repeat her offer and I would say, "No, TRANSFER ME PLEASE!!!" Finally, after an hour and 17 minutes Marj says, "I can transfer you now." Now, I am guessing she was trying to wear me down or some such crap because I had been asking/telling her from the first minute of our conversation to please just transfer me and do not put me on hold, but she put me on hold anyway at least a half a dozen times after that. So then I had the pleasure of speaking to Yevet, finally a voice of reason. She explained that back in February 2023 I had mistakenly sent my invoice to the wrong department and that someone called me to share that info on 6 June 2023, but I missed the call and my voice mail was full.
The bottom line I feel is that customer service has very, very bad data on the screen in front of them causing them to tell me stuff that was not true. Case in point, Yevet explained to me the check was cut but never sent out in January 2023. So, on 13 June 2023 I spoke to Lance about 3:30pm and told him I followed Yevet's instructions to send my invoice to "Reimbursement" but I got a message saying, "I was not authorized a Reimbursement." after I hit submit. Lance said try it again and do it while on the phone with customer support. Around 6ish that evening I called and spoke to Steve while sitting with my son's girl friend, who is very computer literate and we both shared with Steve what we were doing to submit my invoice. Well, all we kept hearing from Steve was, "this is weird...this is weird...this is weird" after every time we followed his instructions to the letter, but got the same message, "not authorized for a Reimbursement".
Finally Steve said to put a message into the request that it would not let me submit it as a Reimbursement and watch for an email within 24hours from Choice Home Warranty. Well, it is 10 pm, 14 June 2023, eastern zone time and no email from Choice, no check from Choice, NOTHING but lip service from Choice...No one should be put through this ** for so ** long no matter what department my invoice was missent to, this is totally unacceptable with today's technology...I am currently sending texts and emails to every home owner I know explaining the ** that Choice Home Warranty has put my wife and I through since 20 February 2023...(I tried to give 0 stars, but I had to click on 1 so I could submit this, which is very sad...)
Original Review: Choice Home Warranty has a 30 day reimbursement policy. They received my invoice on 20 February 2023 and as of 30 May 2023 I have yet to receive my reimbursement. I did speak to a Choice remediation person earlier this month, but no check has showed up. I mentioned a full reimbursement of $220.00 instead of $155.00, due to the time that I have been without my money and she said, "oh no, we can't do that." I feel Choice Home Warranty is not a customer caring company and I would not recommend them to anyone.

It took five days to get Technician to my home for the repairs. 5 days and 100 degrees temp was hard on my 90 year old spouse. Technician was great! It was late in the evening so Choice did not respond to the work request. To expedite repairs I paid for the service up front so we could have AC within an hour. I will get reimbursed for the difference later! The next day I called Choice customer service and was told that I broke the contract by having the repairs done without Choice approval! I insisted on being transferred to the resolution department where I spoke to a service rep. with common sense! He approved most of the repair cost and the Local Contractor reimbursed me for the difference. That was good business!! So, we are all happy with the resolution. Thank You.

Satisfied with the service, inspire of the long wait in receiving the Lowes E-card to cover the replacement cost. It was a challenge to our living arrangement, to not have use of our oven during the waiting period, but worth in from Safety standpoint. The staff kept me informed during the entire progress.

It took 3 technicians and 3 weeks to get this claim fixed. I was finally satisfied with the 3rd technician. However, the process and dealing with choice was a nightmare. I would have a very difficult time recommending your home warranty company to anyone. Your service is terrible and many of your technicians are incompetent.

The technician came and was quick to diagnose the problems with our washer and dryer. The parts will be installed as soon as he gets them. He was friendly and courteous. We would not hesitate in scheduling him again and look forward to him returning to repair our appliances.

Plumber was prompt, showed up early morning and got the blocked drainage unclogged quickly and effectively. No issues since. Sink had been causing problems for a while and previous plumber sent by the warranty service did not resolve the issue.

I would give NEGATIVE review if I could on this portal. I raised a request related to plumbing job at my property. There was a toilet flush tank leak and Bath Tub faucet leak. They sent a plumber to fix it. Plumber was not able to fix it properly. I asked a recall, plumber came back but still not able to fix problem. Choice Home Warranty closed the ticket on their own. I called them back to open it again since problem exist. This happened in iteration for complete month. Tried to call plumber contractor multiple times who was not picking call. I raised same concern to choice home warranty and asked them to assign another contractor to fix this problem, but they did not assigned new contractor and they closed the ticket on their own without fixing the problem.
This was really frustrating for me as I was waiting on them for 1 month. I called them to resolve the problem or refund my per visit charge and refund my 3 year choice home warranty subscription charge. They refused to refund me back. Same time I got water heater broken . Based on experience from choice home warranty I called a certified plumber and got water heater replaced, toilet flush tank fixed and Bathtub faucet leak fixed on same day in 3 hours. It is no use to buy home warranty if they cannot deliver.

My washer flooded the laundry room, wall to wall carpeting in the hall, and the bathroom. I called Choice for help and their response was "we do not respond to emergencies". This was clearly an appliance failure and I thought it should be covered under the warranty. I ended up calling COIT for help with the flooding. I have to pay the bill that I thought should be covered by Choice. I am going to look for another company. I am very dissatisfied.

I called on Thursday, May 25 to submit a claim. I have not heard from anyone. Water was running in condo and in the hallway as well. Since no one contacted me I made a call to get the situation taken care of. The situation could have been awful if I had not called to fix this. If Choice can not service customers in the Maryland area, they should not be selling plans. This is totally unacceptable.

I stopped getting hot water. It took them 2 days to schedule tech who never showed cause they said they didn't get work order? Then it took 6 days before the 2nd tech came and stated I needed new one! It took Choice another 3 days to approve it and that was a Friday w/ holiday attached on Monday...which meant no hot water till Tuesday making it 2 weeks and 1 day to from reporting claim to replacement, and Tuesday not here yet so hopefully it's Tuesday and I had no choice but to approve 300.00 of non approved stuff that they don't clarify in email that I still have to pay in order to get it... So after 2 weeks and 300 or more, I guess I'll have hot water again!

I recently switched from American Home Shield to Choice Warranty and so far I’m very happy. My most recent service was for my washer. Choice Warranty has partnered with Lowe’s and they are sending me a gift card. I have not yet received it so I hope I do soon but as long as I do I'm a happy customer!

On Sunday night 5/21/23 I filled out a service request form with CHW for a backed up toilet. Before the evening ended, CHW had arranged a plumber to come to my home on 5/22/23. The plumber arrived and completed his work by 10:00 am on Monday 5/22/23. This was an extreme example of customer service at its best. Admittedly, the job was just a clogged toilet and was repaired within 10 minutes. However, the fact that Waterway Plumbing arrived so timely and CHW had set up this fix so quickly was an example of the finest customer service I have experienced in a while. The technician gave great service and advice. He was a knowledgeable, honest, professional, courteous, understanding, and Godly man. Though the initial service scheduling appointment was canceled, the technical call ahead of time to inform me that he would arrive by 09:00 the next morning, and he arrived on time as promised. Technician arrived as stated on time. Very clean, courteous and knowledgeable. Found the problem in the overflow hose and corrected it. The process for submitting a claim was very fast. Not complicated and the response from CHW to confirm a vendor was excellent. Unlike my previous experience with Fidelity Home Warranty which was a disaster and two years later I still have not heard from them after hours and hours trying to reach them even sent them a fax asking for help and no reply..

Choice was great they had someone out immediately last time I had an issue with my a/c. There was a problem though. It wasn’t Choices fault but the problem was with the man they sent. He said it was just a fuse that had blown so he replaced that. Then he asked me if I wanted a yearly service contact so I paid him the $75 for the Choice visit and $129 for the service contract. Not sure I should have done that. I tried to call him yesterday before I called Choice and he won’t answer his phone now. Just letting you know. Thank you, Bette

This Technician changed my appt to come out earlier to fix my AC Unit. I called the issue in, and the Customer Service Agent didn’t find it important to make my appt earlier. I had no air blowing out of my unit. They set it a week out, I called the Tech and let him know my house was hot 80-90 degrees, same as I told Customer Service, the Tech thought, I had set the first appt. I was suffering every night. Customer Service showed no concern. When people don’t have air for hot days or heat for cold days, that should be a PRIORITY.

Service technician didn’t show up on Tuesday, called service tech and had to reschedule, took an additional two days to finally inspect and verify that my tank had failed. To my astonishment the company denied my claim! I am investigating the reason, still no hot water so I am getting a new hot water heater and paying for it myself.

The customer service staff are very rude. I asked to speak to a supervisor three times and they all denied me. Three different people said, "Sorry we can’t get you to a supervisor because your information is the same." I will never sign with you again. Your advertisement is false. 9 days and still waiting, all this time CHW has been stalling and clearly delaying decision to make the repair, every day the status is waiting for the technician to provide information and technician has done several times, then CHW says that will review the information, and the goes back to pending information from technician even when it was already submitted, so I am still waiting for my repair… terrible experiend and no, I will not recommend CHW to anyone.

I had one plumber request queried by choice and the manager explained why it was not covered but then proceeded in cancelling that one plus 2 other valid ones! Thanks to the new agent, I could request these 2 again. But This delayed the repairs for 3 weeks! Poor quality on behalf of the case manager I talked with. Very poor.

Choice Home Warranty is trying not to cover my refrigerator in my pool house. When I opened this policy they said it would be covered and when something went wrong they are saying it is not covered. They didn't mind taking my money for an additional coverage of two refrigerators but when one of them stopped working they do not want to cover it.

This is the 2nd visit for this issue. The warranty company sent out a different plumber the first time. He recognized we needed a particular seal but didn’t carry it. He was able, however, to find one in his truck that he was able to fit and it stopped the leakage for maybe a couple of months. At that point, it started leaking again. This technician recognized right away that unless we get the exact part needed for this particular toilet, it will keep happening. He needs to get the okay from the warranty company and then he can order the part and fix the issue. I appreciate his honesty and diligence in helping me rectify this continuing problem.

I am still reaching out to claims rep. My broken thermostat costs upwards to $200 and is a Trane. My replacement is a $30 Honeywell. Why would a different brand, much cheaper as well, be considered as a suitable replacement? I want a comparable Trane thermostat. Not happy at all. Now I have to paint.

My microwave broke. I submitted the claim, a technician arrived. Technician was awesome. The microwave needed to be replaced. I received this email that said I would receive $190 Lowe’s gift card for a replacement (you know so you can upgrade.) Before I realized what I was doing I mistakenly clicked accept. So now I am waiting up to 30 days for a gift card that doesn’t cover the replacement cost of my microwave. I’m glad I got to have the experience now with something like a microwave. This has made me realize that I don’t need to renew the policy in a few months.

My air conditioning unit stop working in the middle of the day. I called and place claim and they responded less than 24 hours. I'm so thankful because it was over 100 degrees outside, so I needed to get my air conditioning fixed as quickly as possible. The respond time was awesome. Choice Home Warranty dispatched GreenWire Appliance repair to fix our washer. He came out and there was two parts needed to complete the repair. He repaired the first part and was approved by CHW yesterday to get the second part needed to complete the job. So now just expecting GreenWire's call once he gets that part to finish fixing washer. Very happy with both CHW representatives and GreenWire's technician.

I had an awful experience with case manager Shauntel M. Her tone was very condescending and her choice of words were offensive. Please listen to the call if they are recorded. After speaking with her I called customer service to cancel my acct. The acct recovery specialist I spoke with was so kind and I could tell she genuinely cared about my feeling and my experience and she wanted to assist me to the best of her ability. I am a former customer service rep so you have to be really good or really bad to get a review from me. I had a horrible experience with my case manager.

It took some time to find companies to repair my items. Once I had responses I was extremely satisfied with the work done. Sears came out to fix my dryer and Vicory Plumbing to fix my toilet. Everything was so professional and I am more than pleased.

If you want to pay money for a company that might, maybe, most likely won’t cover what you need - Choice Home Warranty is what you want. Have had a good contractor to repair our garage motor, however other contractors use the system to get a stable income from your call out fee while misdiagnosing other claims to make their money from you, the homeowner. Took over a month to get a plumber out to my home. Was not able to use my washer or dishwasher. After numerous call a appt. was made for me. I took the day off from work. No plumber. A week later still no one. Finally today a plumber came out, unclogged my pipe. He was very nice, was on time, unclogged my pipe in no time at all. I would recommend him. Not so sure about recommending Choice Warranty.

It took over a month to find a repairman as they had no one in my area. The repairman who came was awesome and actually said he could do the repairs but needed approval and to order parts. Next day I get an email that they would replace my refrigerators least 1700 plus tax and offered $986 to replace a French door refrigerator with ice maker. The cheapest I could find was 1800 plus tax. They would not budge on replacement price. So I’ll need to shell out another $900 or live with it.

Excellent service done by Choice Home Warranty for handling my claim. Only took several minutes and I had a claim number and a response from CRS Concept Renaissance Services (Plumbing Co) within a few hours. The next day Joseph the plumber from CRS was at my house. He was very professional and did an excellent job replacing the garbage disposal. He also replaced the pipe that was leaking. He had all the supplies and tools needed to get job done. I would highly recommend both CHW and CRS.

Your company will not fix the hole in my Freon line, so my freon will leak out in time so we will be back to "square one" and will have to call your company again to refill my Freon. BUYER BEWARE!! If I could give less than one star I would. They have a clause in the policy that they will not cover “Unknown Pre-existing conditions”. I had my policy for about 45 days when my water heater would not shut off. The technician said I needed a new hot water heater. Choice Home Warranty denied the claim citing “Unknown pre-Existing Conditions”. Saying that hot water heaters deteriorated over time. Well yeah that’s why we get a home warranty. So basically with this clause they can deny any and all claim. This is a scam. The company is a scam. When disputing the matter, the “case manager” talks over you and refuses to transfer to their manager. So I tried to cancel my policy because they are worthless. Not only did they take one month of insurance out but also charge a $50 cancellation fee. Oh and the refund will take 15-30 to receive when I have them the year of premium it didn’t take 15-30 for them to receive.

The vendor arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, ordered the replacement part, and scheduled the next visit for repair. The only issue is that Choice Home Warranty misstated the problem in the repair order and there was no way to correct it until the vendor arrived and was told.

I would highly recommend Jay from Cool N Arizona. He came promptly and did a thorough inspection of both our AC Units. He located the trouble and made the needed repairs. In addition, he inspected the vents inside the house and double checked the freon on both AC units. He took his time and explained everything to us. He was excellent!!!

Time between notifying Choice Warranty and receiving service from a technician was excessive since the service needed was related to the HVAC system not running. Two + days to provide service needed considering the fact the ambient temps were above 90 degrees could be detrimental to health in the dwelling.

I was sold on the fact the company has changed since new ownership and covers all main components that my prior coverage would not. They actually drove me to another company, but in the end, I ended up with Choice because the other company was a scam warranty. I called in my claim at approximately 8:15am - by 11:15am I still had not received any email concerning any plumber taking my "call". I contacted S & J, a service which took care of a claim back in January (the company given to me through Choice to help with a different plumbing problem). When I contacted S & J, I was told a technician would be out in approximately 2 hrs. He arrived about 1 hour later!!! Plumbing problem fixed - I never did get help from my original claim called in at 8:15am, I had to do my own recruiting to get the repairs done!!! S&J came out quickly and the repair job was completed in about 15 minutes and the toilet was put back into working condition. I gave S&J a 5 star because they responded to the need and answered my call for help, yes I would recommend them to a friend for plumbing repairs.

Not very happy with what was offered. I thought it was an insult. When I signed up they told me replaced with a comparable unit. What I was offered barely pays for someone to come back and install the machine. Also the gift cards would take over 30 days to receive. Our dishwasher was not pumping out the water in it. On Sunday I filed a claim online. Later that day I received an email stating a serviceman would be out the next day, Monday. So far, we are running a 75% rejection on coverage. They always have issues finding technicians willing to work with them. Our A/C stopped working and it took a week to get someone to come look at it. The blower motor went out and they rejected the coverage claiming it was under warranty when in fact it is not. So the unit has been down going on 2 weeks now.

We have used CHW for 6 yrs and have no major expenses, but as soon as we need you, you do not pay the majority. That was disappointing. For years, you would not replace our AC unit, just nursed it until no more nursing worked. We were very patient with a process that was not beneficial to us. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! On May 5th, I filed claim #** for my AC unit, which stopped blowing cold air. A technician from 72 Degrees Services visited on May 8th and determined that the AC unit needed to be replaced. Choice Home Warranty approved the replacement of the condenser on May 9th, but I was informed that I would be responsible for paying $596.25 for the evaporator coils. Additionally, due to that I have a R22 refrigerant unit, they stated that an upgrade to a newer system would be required, at an additional cost of $1760 since R22 units are no longer manufactured.
When I contacted the technician to request a breakdown of the costs, their response was both rude and unprofessional. They refused to provide the information and abruptly ended the call. Not only that, I found out that the technician left the condenser panel open. Didn't even bother to close it. Despite my numerous attempts, I was unable to reach them. Frustrated, I contacted Choice Home Warranty to request a cost breakdown, but they explained that they did not have access to the information at that time. Consequently, they escalated the claim to a case manager on May 12th.
Finally, on May 18th, I had a conversation with the assigned case manager, Dielliavissia **. She assured me that she would obtain an itemized cost list and arrange for the technician to come back and close the condenser panel. However, as of today, May 24, 2023, no progress has been made in obtaining the breakdown or resolving the open panel issue. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of action and follow-through. Furthermore, when I requested that another company be assigned to address the issue, considering my negative experience with the technician from 72 Degrees Services, my request was unfortunately denied.
Moreover, prior to purchasing the policy, Choice Home Warranty explicitly assured me that they would replace my AC unit in the event of a malfunction. However, they now insist that, due to the age of my unit, I am required to pay $2,356.25 for a replacement, which I find to be an unreasonable amount. It is disheartening that if I bought a product ten years ago and it breaks, with the same model no longer available, I should be expected to shoulder half of the replacement cost. This raises the question of the purpose of buying a warranty if they initially promised a complete replacement of the air conditioning system. Learn from my experience, and stay away from them!!!

Albert was very thorough and professional. Respected my "senior citizen" and "retired" status with additional discount that sealed the deal. I have used a different company for two years. The contract I chose with Choice reduced the cost by 50% over my previous company. I look forward to using the service.

Technician was wonderful, Choice Home Warranty service was atrocious. Appointment to speak to a Service Rep was a week out. Warranty claims you will cover garage door opener, but makes no mention of cause of breaking! Pathetic! I will not renew and will tell everyone I know to avoid your company!

I filed claim for refrigerator which should have been replaced before due to performance and floor was eaten out from leakage. Repairman showed up unexpectedly. He examined, talked to Choice for some time, then told me refrigerator was unrepairable. He said I would hear from Choice in two days. Several days went by, and I finally called Choice when almost a week had passed. They said they never received a report from Sears(?), and would email them. That was a few days ago. I have heard nothing yet as to disposition of my claim.

Put in a claim for refrigerator not working on Sunday. Technician came on Tuesday. Said unit needed replaced. Within 2 hours received email from CHW saying we would be issued a Lowes gift card to replace refrigerator. The problem was, they said we would get gift card within 30 days! We need refrigerator today. Could not wait, not knowing when we would get gift card. Had to buy a new one today. The big issue is on 4/13/23, we put in a claim for AC not working, 6 weeks later and AC still not fixed! They say they are trying to find a technician to take the job! This is unacceptable!

Recently I changed home warranty companies after extensive research of same. My choice was Choice based on reviews and overall ratings. I find the cost very acceptable. Ease of signing up was trouble free. The Agent was polite and took the time to explain everything. I look forward to happy journey with Choice.

We have been with Choice for several years now and they have been Professional and helpful on each claim. We have also replaced and repaired several appliances. Lately it has been getting harder to get a repair technician to respond and even shop up after accepting a job. Also they are not even responding at all to jobs and leaving them open and unclaimed.

Jackson Unlimited was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The person corrected my issue with little needed interaction and I was extremely satisfied with the service. Yet again, Choice have let me down. AC Still not operational and the response from an unqualified Choice representative on how to fix the AC unit when talking to a qualified technician is beyond comparison. I know the business model is do things as cheap and repairs first and avoid replacing, if at all possible, but customer First does not even come into the priority for Choice.

Terrible response time to get AC flowing out of AC causing floor damage. First caller didn't show up, second took 48 hours. Just not acceptable in an emergency when then is water damage. Will consider my policy. Didn't get any more considerations.

Repairman Enrique of Fusion Garage Doors was committed to getting to our house to analyze the problem. He was running late, but kept us informed, apologized and asked if 7pm would be too late. We were grateful that he was willing to work that late. He showed me a broken gear inside of the housing that would have to be ordered. We received a notification the next day that our repair was on Hold as Enrique said it would be until they received the part which he promised to order that evening. Super polite, and totally knowledgeable individual.

We have had many home warranty companies in our life but Choice is by far the worst. Never call us back, never listen to our concerns. You make the technician perform tests when he thought they weren't necessary and then you don't cover those charges. Ridiculous customer service. This is the 2nd claim we have filed in a year where you gave us no resolution. And we were on our own to fix the problem. Cannot wait until our warranty runs out so we can get a better company. This is the 3rd time I used the Choice Home Warranty. I usually submit my request and in less than a few hours I have a technician appointment. This time, it appeared everyone was busy. After a few days, I was given the option to find my own technician and be reimbursed. If CHW found a technician for me before I made the decision to opt for my technician, I would have to use the assigned technician.
So instead of having someone look at my AC the same day, I had to wait for the next week. I was told Thursday, by email, but then received a call Monday, that a technician from a different company would be coming out to service my AC. Once Jeremy, from 904 Air showed up, he was able to get the AC unit back up and cooling. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and talked through the process of diagnosing and treating the unit. He tested and ran checks on the condenser/ compressor once he changed out a capacitor that had gone bad. I’m very satisfied. Happy homeowner again! Thanks CHW!

As usual, my repair was not covered there seems to always be some loophole. I’ve had the service for five years. Every time I’ve tried to fix an appliance that has gone bad. There was always a loophole as to why the product was not covered. My air conditioning unit was filled to have corrosion, which was apparently not covered. It seems that would be a normal wear and tear that should’ve been covered. It makes no sense I would not recommend this warranty to anyone. Very unhappy. I would’ve thought at least they could have covered even a small part of the repair bill.

The technician was outstanding. He was polite, professional, and certainly knew his job. Once he arrives he went right to work to repair the leak in my bathroom. I was extremely pleased with the job he did, and certainly would want him back again if I have any other issues.

The representative I talked to was polite, informative, took my information and filed the claim in a timely manner. The repair company scheduled the appointment quickly, but then it was re-scheduled. So far, everything has gone as anticipated and will wait and see how the claim is handled after the tech access the problem and what the solution will be.

I recently had to get a serviceman to fix my dryer. He did and pointed out the fact that the water escape hose was in the sink, moved it to a proper drain and taught me something. The servicemen who have come in prior to this one never touched the drain hose.

Our ice maker started leaking and making loud grinding noises. Went online and requested a service call. Had an appointment scheduled within 24hrs. Service call repairman came out, did a cursory inspection, but listened to my complaint of the issue. He had to order a new part but said he would come out as soon as the part came in. Part was delivered by Sears very quickly, I texted him to let him know the part was in and he came out the same day. Part installed and now the ice maker seems to be working better than ever.

They simply don't cover things they say they will if they are expensive. I've had CHW for years only because of a multi year contract but won't waste my money again. I bought it because I moved into my mothers 150 year old house and figured things would be wearing out. They covered a ceiling fan replacement but only $300 to replace a stove that couldn't be repaired. A year or so later, they paid $400 to replace a refrigerator. They have their own way of figuring replacement cost which is way below wholesale. They refused a water heater issue claiming it was caused by sediment, which apparently isn't covered. Isn't sediment normal wear and tear on a water heater???
Recently had an emergency situation with a sewer back up problem but could not get their permission to have someone fix it right away. They wanted me to wait 48 hours to see if they could find someone! I waited a day but we couldn't use the toilet or anything else and my 96 year old mother simply cannot sit on a 5 gal. bucket in the middle of the night! They refused to reimburse my $250 claim because I had it fixed without authorization. You can appeal but it doesn't matter. Whatever they tell you is final. So, you know all that nice stuff they say to get you to purchase? Don't believe a word. I had several questions about the contract and it was initially interpreted in a way that would benefit me. It's a scam.

When Choice says within 24 hours they mean within 24 hrs. Actually it was more like within 12 hours. I have been a customer with choice warranty for over 5 years. Since this was my first time filing a claim, I really didn’t know what to expect. Really set my mind at ease knowing that help was on the way.

The repair for my ac took 2 weeks to get someone out to fix. Once someone was there to repair it was fixed in no time. Glad it wasn't overly hot but still unacceptable. I had to argue with the staff to speak to management. Finally got a supervisor which waived my payment.

Rain storm caused power outage, when power was restored light fixture didn’t work. I checked the circuit breaker then reset it still no light, took out one of the lightbulbs, checked it in a lamp, the lightbulb worked. So I called CHW and filed a claim, (which was very easy) and a technician from Thayer Electrical was at my home the next morning. The technician worked his troubleshooting, process and now the light is working. Kudos to Choice Home Warranty and Thayer Electrical. Nick, the technician was a great electrician and customer service representative.

I’m thankful that we had a home warranty when our heat pump went out. CHW has responded quickly and are replacing it. The contractors that they sent to do the work are excellent, responsive, and knowledgeable. I expected the approval process for replacement to take longer, but it came the day after the contractor came to the house.

I had a water leak and called, you sent plumber out and found out it was in the slab. I called you back and kept getting told, "We’re looking for a plumber." This went on over a week. To get water restored back in my house I got a plumber who told me that the best way to prevent future leaks was to replace all plumbing under slab. I let you know but still got looking for a plumber or work order canceled. To rectify problem it has cost me 11500.00 to fix. So to put it mildly your warranty and your service are crap. I’m in the process of seeking legal advice on how to deal with your company.

I purchased the total home warranty because I wanted all appliances to be covered. Now that my HVAC needs maintenance they are telling me it is not covered. Don't waste your money on this. Just save for when you need to do any maintenance or purchase a new appliance.
