    My air handling unit is being replaced and I can’t get anyone to send me an itemized list of what’s being done and what parts are being replaced. CHW tells me I need to get that info from the technician and the technician tells me I have to get it from CHW. Dealing with CHW has been very frustrating. I am not satisfied with this service at all. It is extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone and I’m not getting any answers. Meanwhile it has been over 90 degrees in my house for a week. I would not refer this home warranty company to anyone ever.

    My spouse and I paid for a year plan; which the sales person easily talked us into buying a year. When we needed service they sent two different companies, repeatedly asked for pictures and videos, and still denied our claim!!! Offered us an insulting dollar amount after we paid thousands out of pocket. When we cancelled the service they offered us $100 after paying out of pocket for service and a year's plan package. NO follow-up phone calls, no working with us and SLOW service, because they DENIED the claim. DO NOT USE Home Choice Warranty. They make it sound good, but we are out of thousands of dollars because of them. Warning! HORRIBLE service after taking your money! I hope they approve your claim!

    The technical did a great job with the work he did but he didn't adjust the door that comes open when clothes are drying. Also he said the filter needs to be replace. My understanding he was ordering the parts. I call him. He said his job was completed. He never gave me a bill or break on what everything will cost or what he had to do. He said I must pay additional 176.00$ for parts that was not covered. What parts? We do not know. We have always gotten a break down on all the work that had to be done. That is a very good policy. They have an option for the customer to be reimbursed after they get work done but if the customer doesn't follow their strict rules, they will not reimburse the client on the repair.     I like the online claim process so far in the ease of submitting and reporting. It seems that communication between the servicer and the warranty company are not the best. Choice has always posted that issue is resolved when it has not. The postings should read that after a technician has fully installed any parts and reported back completion of the job.     I filed a claim in late April for a fridge/freezer issue. They assigned a Sears technician to come 5 days later, that technician didn't turn up. I had taken the day off work to stay home. Nobody contacted me to reschedule, I had to chase Sears and Choice 15 times to get someone to come out 3 days later. Technician diagnosed the issue, needed to order 2 parts. A week later the smaller (and not vital) part arrived but not the control board needed. I called both Choice and the service agent that day, then 2 days later, then the next day and so on. Nobody could tell me when the part was coming in, the "service dept" was going to call me. No call.

    The Choice helpline is an Indian call center and the poor folk there have no power to do anything but offer platitudes. I finally called a local company who arrived the next day, part in hand since I'd given the error code and fixed my unit. I also had to buy a small fridge freezer to keep things cold (I'm in Vegas) for the month plus that this went on. I shall be canceling my payment to this scam company.

    For starters, when we purchased CHW we thought that we would get something in the mail about our home warranty. Nothing showed up except the day of sign up was an email thanking us for the purchase. Fast forward 8 months later our A/C unit goes out. I call in and ask how do I file a claim. (Little issue, customer service was not in America.) I explained several times what the problem was. Then I was told that I would get an email with my plan and they would reach out to a repair tech. One week goes by no calls. I call in 9 days from the claim date asking what's my status. All I was told is that no one has answered CHW's request to get my A/C unit fixed. I was then told that they will make some more calls and get me some help. Now week 2 is almost done and I get an email from C/W saying that I can find my own A/C person and I can file the claim. Not what I wanted to do. I paid for a service and I expect them to do it.

    Now it's 3 weeks and no A/C (We live in SE Georgia). Call in again and was told, "Give us 24 hrs for this one company to respond." I told this person that I gave 3 weeks! So, I waited 24 hrs and was told no one responded. This person just said, "You need to call a repair tech yourself. That would be faster." So I did and got my repair done on the same day that I called. By the way, this guy does claims through CHW. He never was informed about an issue. Back in 2004 Choice Home Warranty was impressive, now I might be moving onto another company. Cheap labor does not get you good quality. I work in the customer service industry and this service was below sub par. Changes need to be had. Also vetting quality service provides need to be next.

    On May 26, 2023, I reported my home A/C system had a leak and was running constantly. The company I used for annual service diagnosed the problem and I contact CHW. Five days elapsed and after contacting CHW again I was informed CHW couldn't find an HVAC company in the system to handle replacing the A/C coil. I followed instructions and Had my HVAC company submit a complete diagnosis which they did. Today is June 2, and I still don't have approval. My HVAC company is frustrated and stated CHW has all information to approve the replacement. My last conversation was June 2 with Francis. My conclusion after reading the email to my HVAC company is the CHW authorization team is either incompetent or CHW is trying to deny my claim.

He arrived at the specified time and found that the washing machine needed to be replaced.     As of this writing, I've had 4 service calls. The first one they came in, told me what was wrong, said they would not fix it. The second they replaced and went about their business. This same item broke 1.5 months later and I had to call again. The appointment was setup, timespan 8-5, they never showed up or called. Your customer service was unprofessional and not helpful at all. I called again and setup another claim. CHW gave me an appt but never reached out to check the tech's availability. He came out, knew it was the ice maker, didn't have one with him so he had to reschedule for a week later. Told us to defrost (which isn't necessary) and remove the box, that's HIS job, not mine.

    Final claim on my washer. 2 year old top of the line washer, you offered the buyout option and offered such a low amount I won't even be able to purchase a bottom of the line washer. The person who sold me the policy forgot to mention this option and I didn't pay attention when reading over the contract which is my fault. I've had home warranties with each of my houses and I have never had issues before with the service. If I could get my money back I'd take it and find another company. If this becomes a review that others can see, I would tell them to continue looking for another company, CHW cannot and will not support you overall.

    Choice Home Warranty is the most dishonest, deceitful home warranty company I have ever dealt with, and I have used 4 of them. First, they couldn’t find a technician that actually wanted my repair job, then they reassigned it to a tech that never showed up after they confirmed the appointment and I cancelled my weekend plans to wait around for him, then I was required to find my own tech, and then after 1 month of this mess they cheated me by denying my claim based on a technicality, refusing to accept my tech’s evaluation, but they also wouldn’t refund my monthly payments even though I never filed a previous claim. So he got here and checked and said a board went out and caused the compressor to freeze up. So we obviously didn’t repair it.     My swamp cooler was leaking into my household and caused damage to my bathroom ceiling and I had to contact your company about 7 times to finally get someone out here to take a look at it. He said he wasn't contracted with you guys, but he would have me put in the invoice material and cost and everything which was around $1200. Then you guys wouldn't accept it, so you guys finally a few months later found another technician to come look at it and their estimate was outrageous at $2400 and you guys denied it.     I took it upon myself and just patched up the leak on top of my house on the roof where water may have worn away the old sealant and replaced that with the tire rubber and it worked out great! No more leak coming through, but my ceiling is still damaged in my bathroom and needs to be repaired. I would hope you can help repair my bathroom ceiling at the least.
