Called in a Plumbing challenge. Had a very quick (same day) dispatch of the technician. Tech was knowledgeable and fixed the issue. Showed up in the time window that was sent out. Plumber was personable and had the parts on hand to repair the problem, without having to order parts and return.

I love the accuracy and promptness of the technician as well as his knowledge to identify the problem quickly. Giving me a report of the problem and ensuring me of his return to fix the problem when the needed parts come in. I have already told and recommended CHW to many. My experience with CHW has always been great. I’m happy to have CHW.

I put in a claim for No Hot Water and within 2 hrs I had an appointment for the next day. Air Wolf was assigned to my claim and did a great job to rectify my problem. Choice was very responsive and showed why their number one in helping their clients. Thank You.

Appreciate the speedy referral for an evaluation for a refrigerator. However was disappointed that the replacement e-value card was from Lowe’s and not an option to use Best Buy. We are still waiting for the e-card to arrive in our inbox so will need to follow up. Can someone please give us a call or update to see when the e-card will arrive? Many thanks!

I submitted a claim to have my a/c looked at on a Monday evening. I received an e-mail approximately two hours later advising me that a technician would be coming to check the a/c on Wednesday morning! And he did!! He was able to get the unit running again within the hour!! Thank You for prompt service on a very warm day!!

We recently experienced an AC issue with the temperatures soaring! Choice provided a technician who did a great job. We did have to wait a few days and weren't allowed to shop for another technician after Choice had identified one. Overall, a very good experience. Next time, I will simply use my own technician and allow for reimbursement.

I reached out to Choice Home Warranty because any repairs or replacement of appliances is really expensive, mine are 5 years old and I was starting to worry a little, (you know they don't make things like they use to.) My sister- in -law has had Choice Home Warranty for over 3 years and can't say enough good things about it. Odel contacted me, answered every question I had and offered me a great plan. The coil in my Air Conditioner has multiple leaks in it causing a loss of refrigerant. These leaks have been verified by two different A/C technicians. Choice Home Warranty has chosen not to replace the coil, but to add refrigerant instead. This does address the faulty coil that will continue to cause a loss of refrigerant and possible additional damage to the Air Conditioner.

I am very pleased with Choice Warranty. I never had any problems with them. Every time I called them they responded to me. I had microwave trouble. They replaced it. That way I like them. I tell anybody if they snit they don’t have Choice Warranty they better get cause it saves you money.

2. When I bought policy I was most worried about older AC system. Sales person said it was covered. Did not explain that there was an exception for leakage. The major reason for failure in older systems.

Submitted the maintenance request online and quickly received a date for repair. The technician, Anthony, texted me to let me his expected arrival. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem, obtain the need part, and replace in a timely manner. The only reason for not rating five stars was the all day (8-5) window and having to take the entire day off work.

It takes too much time to acquire and assign a technician to a claim and Sometimes the assigned technician fail to complete to complete the assigned task. Choice Home Warranty should take special consideration for urgent situations such as having no water issues. There are many times small kids are among suffering because of the slow assignment of techs to the claim.

Master Bedroom vanity light fixture needed replacement. Claim was attended to and fulfilled. Technician was courteous and qualified to do a thorough job. The claim was received, approved and fulfilled within hours. The representative from Choice who made initiation appointment, called to update and said technician was in area and arrived.

When I signed up for Choice, I told the rep that I live in a rural area. He assured me that that was not a problem. My AC stopped cooling so I made a claim. It took a week to schedule a tech. The one they booked was 3.5 hours away... needless to say, I waited ALL day for an 8-11am appt and he never showed up. After 3 calls, they reassigned my claim, but still no appt schedule after several days. I know that they are trying to locate a technician, but if they can't find one, they should have me find my own and reimburse me. There are local people that do this type of service.

Very courteous and very honest. A knowledgeable young man. He was thorough with his inspection and explained everything he was doing as well as what he was looking for. He didn't try to up sale any product as others have done in the past. I really appreciated that. I would recommend him to my highly to my friends.

Our tech was great! He was quick but also took the time to ensure everything looked good and was working properly before he left. He provided some excellent knowledge to us as new home owners as well. Quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Very nice and a people person also.

They were friendly and competent. They knew what they were doing. They had to leave to get conformation from Choice on what was needed to do the job. I needed to get in contact with the water company to shut off the water. After the water company came to shut the water off. I called the contractor to come and do the work. They came and finished the work. I called the water company to turn the water back on. The contractor called backed to ask me if there were any leaks which there were none. I thanked them for a good job.

The technician was very professional yet personable. He worked diligently to find the problem and then he proceeded to fix the problem. I was very satisfied with his work. If there is ever another problem with the air conditioner or cooling system I would request the same technician. I really appreciate how quickly Choice Home Warranty worked to solve my problem.

After submitting our request, someone came out just days later. Kevin was very professional and knowledgeable. He fixed everything. We had many outlets that weren’t working and he fixed each one, tested others and gave us great advice. Very happy with our experience. I would recommend this service. I didn’t have water in my studio at the back of my property. I got same day service and they found the problem right away. There was an issue with a closed valve. After they switched it on they checked out the 3 places of concern to ensure ‘em water was flowing.

With Choice, I like that when things break down, I can call them and they can send someone out to help me. Because a lot of times, you don't know who to call to come to check your things when you have a breakdown. They contract with good companies, too. The only problem that I had when I first got it, was that every time I would call, it was always something that they didn't cover. I was upset with them 'cause I felt like I was just paying money and nothing would be covered. The only thing I knew that they did not cover that was rough was the main unit that was up in the attic, and I had to pay $1,500. But lately, since I've been calling them for the last past two years, everything has been covered. 'Cause I got the biggest package.
So far, the technicians have been good too. One technician that came for my dishwasher changed the timer and he had me run it. He left, but it kept running and running. When I called him and told him, "It's still doing the same thing," he was supposed to come back or call me. But he never did. But later on, the timer had to kick in, so it started working properly. Lately, it's been good, so far. Yesterday, someone came out for my air conditioning. The Freon was covered and the capacitor was covered too. Choice is good to have, especially when you own a home.

I sent an e-mail to Choice Home Warranty on 06/12/2023 about the dishwasher not working. I received a voice mail message the next day telling me that the best available technician would be in touch with me. An e-mail was sent telling me a technician would be at my home on 06/14/2023 between 11 A.M. - 3 P.M. The service rep arrived at my home at 10 A.M. in a sports car and only with a metal pad, came into my home, pressed a few buttons on the dishwasher, said the panel was bad, collected $75.00 and said it may take several weeks once Choice accepted the work to be done. On 06/20, I called Appliance Service Solution and left a message, but have not heard back from them. And today's date is 06/24.

Choice approved my request immediately and I was contacted by the servicing company soon afterwards. They came out and professionally completed the service. There was an original service date that was a week away, but the company contacted me to move the date up, which was outstanding. My air conditioner blows great now and the technician informed me that if I have any more problems with it, they will come and fix them with no additional charge.

My Microwave stopped working and I filed a claim with Choice telephonically. Within 24 hours a Repairman came out and repaired my Microwave. The repairman was professional, very knowledgeable, and was thorough in ensuring that my microwave was repaired properly. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my microwave was repaired.

My AC stopped working. It took a while to find out that someone would come in a week in triple digit heat. I tried reimbursement option when first technician came; I found out the breaker tripped due to locking mechanism. It's happened a second time where I had someone who would submit to CHW. I'm concerned It will not be fixed until the condenser gives out. I am quite unhappy. I was happy with the technician.

Technicians have been great; but time lag in getting service is increasing! And price for your contract is really increasing!!! Considering changing insurance! Also considering your low BBB rating; and the difficulty in finding contractors to supply my needs, makes me wary about Choice—so surprise me; find me a plumber today!

Our AC went out in a Sunday. We live in OK and it was already in 90’s. Within an hour Choice sent message that contractor not immediately available and offered option of us locating one. They would then send necessary information for Vladimir approval & processing. We were able to get repair completed within 48 hours. We are so grateful. This experience so different from our previous experiences with another Home Warranty Co. We changed after a series of problems, including a 3 week wait for Freon in the hottest month of summer.

I had a dishwasher leak and hopped online to see what needed to be done. I was able to easily request a service call. I got a text the next day that someone would be out shortly, and they were. Issue fixed, no more leak. I’m happy it was fast and easy to get taken care of.

Initially contacted Choice on 5/22/23. Was told to find a plumber. After finding one, I was told they had a plumber for me after all. I cancelled the one I found and went with their choice. He took a look, charged me $65 and then decided not to take the job. They have a second plumber for me who has already charged me $65, but I am encouraged that the job will get started soon.

Boris from Plumberology Plumbing Service arrived on time. He was professional, precise, got to work immediately; investigated thoroughly, and explained what needed to be done and how. He explained that he would contact Choice for approval for the repairs and be back to fix the leak damage as soon as approved. (Let's see how long Choice takes to get this done...).

Refrigerator repair was attempted but condenser was determined to be discontinued. No repair possible. Choice offered me less than $500.00 cash for my 22 cu ft Whirlpool refrigerator replacement. I did not accept the cash offer and was assigned a person to discuss what is next. This all happened on 21/22 June 2023. I had to select a 15 minute appointment to discuss replacement which could not be setup any sooner than 28 June. No refrigerator in my home for another week. I repeatedly requested an earlier appointment. All of which were ignored. Now I'm waiting for my 15 minute appointment before any action toward replacement begins.

I am so disturbed, I call in request. I'm told 6 hours I will hear from someone. Well nothing! You send request for survey and I still have not heard from tech. We need to know when someone can get here. It is currently 81 degrees in the home and outside temps today are going to be around 113 degrees. I need someone out today. Don't ask people for survey until claim has been successfully completed. I am handicap and need cooler temps and this is crazy. Not 1 person has made an attempt to contact me. If you don't have someone then you need to allow me to contact someone that can come fix the problem.

I received emails & text to remind me of the service date. I was given a window between 8am - 5pm. I was concerned if my entire day was going to be tied up. I received a phone call Saturday morning to inform me the technician would be here between 9-12. He arrived within that timeframe. He was knowledgeable, explained the issue & the process. He was not able to repair my refrigerator that day because the part has to be ordered. He gave me a return date which is in July. I have received follow up on status of my part. I am waiting patiently.

First time using my warranty and I had to buy and replace parts. And spent 75 dollars for technician to tell me if I had American Home Shield he would fix dryer. Go figure Choice Warranty. Emailed twice with no response. Rethinking my warranty plan. Called Choice and still waiting on response.

I have been without hot water for over a week. To me that is unacceptable. If I called someone I could have had it fixed in 24 hours. They said it needs to be cleaned but that is not covered on my insurance. I thought, "Then why do I have insurance." I need to find a new company for insurance.

The technician sent out was great, but Choice has yet to approve him to fix air conditioner that is not working. We are seniors and the heat in Texas is extreme, everyday heat index over 100. I call daily and have cooperated with them but still no air conditioner. Please help.

They find every excuse possible to deny a claim. A technician they hired broke a part on our AC so we filed another claim to fix the part and they denied it because the issue “didn't result from daily wear and tear”. It’s true, it didn’t result from wear and tear but from a technician THEY hired to fix our AC unit!

Doing good but should not take 30 days to get Lowe's E card to get my washer!!!! You also need to get people that come when they say they will. Missed 3 days of work to meet with the one that did washer.... The people from dishwasher was on time and was helpful.

Setting up claims using the phone with a knowledgeable service agent started this claim off right. The service appointment arrived promptly. I will go online and check out this company before my appointment on Tuesday. I switched to Choice for my home warranty as the service provers and Home Shield were very unsatisfactory. I do not recommend American Home Shield!

I filed my claim of A/C not cooling after 8pm on Wednesday night and by 8am on Thursday, I had an appointment time for that same day. I was told between 3 and 8 and the guy showed up at 11:30. He had the parts needed and fixed it on the spot.

The first time I went with Choice, they were a lot cheaper and worked out with me. They didn't go for the cheap repair. The nozzle in the sink broke off so I had to call them and the tech came out and replaced it. Then, the tech said that the nozzle on the other sink is rusting too and to include that the next time I call for something else so they can combine all that on one service instead of paying twice. Choice should cover all my problems One time, the nozzle in the kitchen sink was leaking and they said they don’t cover that and told me to get a new faucet.

Terrible set up for how claims are handled. Haven’t had air conditioning in 6 weeks because I trusted this warranty and paid to extend it. Very poor management overall. Was told to use my own money and y’all would reimburse me. Defeats the entire purpose of having warranty. What a scam.

The tech arrived on time as scheduled. He was dressed well & clean. I explained the issue I had with my stove top burner not heating. He explained what he was going to do. He took care to place the stove top in a safe place to work on it. He removed the unit that wasn't working and replaced it with a new one. He replaced all the pieces, then he cleaned up everything. I nice job in a reasonable amount of time.

I purchased a 5-year warranty a little over a year ago. Recently I had to replace my 6-year-old water heater. The warranty agreement reads that "All components" of an electric or gas water heater are covered. In my situation, the water heater was still covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but I still had to come out of pocket nearly $1,200 to get things up and running again. Why? Because there are many items that are 'non-covered items.' Such as the pan under the water heater, the line that brings gas and water to the water heater, venting, the shut-off ball valve, etc. I inquired with CHW, what exactly did my warranty with you cover, and I was told they covered the 'labor'.
The 2nd example, a week later, one of my AC units went out. This is a 23-year-old AC unit in Phoenix, AZ. It's 108 degrees today. These units work hard. CHW wanted to REPAIR my AC unit but my out-of-pocket expense will be approx. $3,500. Repairing a 23-year-old unit, especially in AZ is foolish. Canceled my policy the next day. Would you put a new engine in a broken-down car? Bottom line. They want to repair repair repair and get out of the claim for the least amount of money. Might be good for them in the short run, but definitely bad for you in the long run.

He did a great job and it seems to be working but when asked where and why it leaked the freon he didn't know. Only said it was low. It should never get low unless it's escaping from somewhere and I'd like to know from where in case it happens again.

Ed was the technician and knew exactly what to do. He got my air conditioner up and running in no time. Then I had a power surge and it went out again and he was quick to come back and fix it again. I have not had any further issues.

Mr Ben ** of Hurd & Dodd Electric did a great job. We are very pleased with his work. However, we were told by multiple persons including David ** (other electrician in the company) and Choice representatives that we would be able to submit our bill for the bathroom fan since Choice would only cover a basic exhaust fan that had no heater and no light. So we did go out and purchase the same type of bathroom fan we had thinking we would get a "$70 reimbursement" toward the cost of the comparable fan (It was around $130). One phone and was issued a claim number and they are trying to locate a repairman in my area. The agent was very helpful, he has sent emails keeping me informed. I have the option of finding my own repairman or continue to wait for Choice to locate a service repairman for me.

I could understand Maurice and he listened to our needs. He was genuine! There was a typo on our contract… I called and they then Maurice called and all was corrected. I asked for a paper contract to be mailed because I had already printed the incorrect 27 pages. Maurice said he would send it out. I trust him.

Took 3 days to get a service technician, and then another day to get here. Paul the technician was great. I was surprised that he was only authorized to replace the thermostat, could not check the rest of the system. Said that if I needed other things on the air-conditioning I would have to file a new claim and pay for another service call. Without my knowledge how would you know if it was the thermostat? If you don't allow the technician to do an inspection?

Unlimited Residential did a great job serving my unit. The consultation was very informative. The service man was very knowledgeable of his profession. On the other hand, Choice Warranty has been great helping me with my unit problems. They have responded very quickly when I submit a claim. The Technicians are easy to converse with. According to the two technicians that came out to examine our problem, Erik (the lead guy, I believe) said that our outside GFI plug was an indoor one and not an outdoor one and that might have caused our pool pump to catch fire. He had his helper change out the GFI outlet but he then had to adjust/fix some of the connections because the helper did them wrong. The entire time the two of them were at our home, they argued and the helper guy was not friendly at all and he used the "F" word a number of times while attempting to replace the GFI outlet etc. Erik also said that if we continue to have problems with the pump tripping off it could be that the previous electrician may have used improper wiring underground and that this wiring may need to be replaced.
My husband Gene and I are wondering why this happened this year when we have used this pool and wiring and GFI and pool pump for 3 or 4 years previously with no problems etc. Choice Home Warranty also did not cover this issue/problem because it was outside our home. The item that was fixed WAS outside our home but was also the entry for the wiring to enter our home, so we thought it would be covered.

Tech was very professional and courteous, also felt he was honest in his assessment of the issue. We can't say that the person who took the call for the appointment was courteous or professional. She hung up the phone before we could ask another question. Other than that it was a good experience. We would like the same technician to do the job, once the part arrives.

Great response to have a technician here the next day. Unfortunately the dispenser would not fail while tech was here but I have a thirty day window to address this problem at no further charges. Very happy with Choice. This was our second claim as we had a microwave failure and was very pleased with the response by Choice Warranty.

I just started my Warranty Plan on June 22nd 2023 and I have an issue with the A/C. I contacted Customer Service via Phone call and they were very fast. I highly recommend this company. The cost for someone to come out blew my mind because it would cost 3 times more and also the monthly price plan fits our budget.

Josh was very professional and also down to earth. He gave me the feeling that he knew what he was doing and he proved it. Josh, took his time and completely resolved the electrical issues I had at my house. I would highly recommend him. He also did me a favor and let me know about another issue that I needed to look into that didn’t happen to involve him. It probably saved me from incurring additional costs.

Choice Home Warranty sucks especially on air conditioner/heating units. Talked to repair guy and he said y’all cancelled 8 out of 10 repairs he requested daily. They say you can appeal. I tried their response was still no. That it was beyond their scope. I pay for all appliances to be repaired. Have the top of the plans and they still would not repair. Shame on you!

I have been exposed to Home Warranties for over 20 years - they have a place but generally I think they're a waste of money. I was very satisfied with Victor Mendoza Appliance Services because he fixed my problem and my washing machine does not leak anyone. However, 2 other technicians went before him and did not fix the problem and I got charged twice $65. If Victor Mendoza Appliance Services would’ve been there first it would have been fixed because the other two did not even turn a cycle to see where leak was coming from. He found it and even told me where the leak was. AMAZING, was so, so THANKFUL!!

I had two ceiling fans that went bad, it took a few days to get a technician but all is well he is returning the day after tomorrow to replace both fans, very happy with the technician he was very polite and answered all questions. My ice maker stopped working and then a leak developed. I called Choice and a service call was set up within a week (I live in a rural area so everything takes longer). The mechanic arrived on time and was pleasant and very professional. He located the problems quickly and was able to fix the leak immediately. The ice maker required a new part so we were able to schedule the return trip the same day. Same tech came back & installed it within 10 minutes. Great service,!!

I needed my kitchen Faucet replaced, the old one was leaking badly and was in a tough spot to work on, I submitted a claim and Choice Home Warranty was able to find a plumber to do the work, but it did take 2 days to set up appointment. You should not have to fight or escalate a claim that is written in black and white on your policy that the component is covered. Every claim that I have put in has been fight to get that item covered or replaced. Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. I have now been without my washer for almost two weeks. I didn't accept the first offer, but I had to make an apt and wait one week to talk to someone, now I have to wait up to 30 days to get my GIFT CART to Lowes, so I can't go out and buy a washer and just get reimbursed. So I will be without a washer for 4 to six weeks, once this is closed. Plus this is not a REPLACEMENT policy, in order to replace my washer it's $598.00, they only are giving me $476.00

The pricing seems on point compared to AHS. The sales guy I had on the phone had some aggressive selling tactics going on but backed off before I got too agitated. The Terms and Conditions are not published but talking to him he did confirm that there is no limit on replacement value, unlike AHS. We'll see what happens the first time something goes out.

My caseworker was a woman named Lydia **. She was absolutely phenomenal in all aspects of what a customer service representative should be. Knowledgeable, polite, patient and fair. My first contact was via email which was telling me my dishwasher would be replaced with a unacceptable dollar amount. Lydia’s contact information was included so I reached out to her telling her how unfair the initial offer was and after we went through the details of the features of the dishwasher and she took her time to explain to me the process she increased their offer over $350 more. I'm being truly honest even with the experienced technician taking care of the leaking parts. There are so many other major components to the A/C system that your company does not covered. While I was satisfied with the band aid the tech applied, I was not satisfied with the main issue to stop the leakage from occurring again which I feel does not suffice for the monthly payment (which has increased twice) charges and the diagnostic costs. After the problem was diagnosed and patched up, I still have a cost of $900 to stop the problem completely which I assumed a home warranty would do.
As a result, I will probably see this problem recurring again for the same issue as before. I don't quite understand why there are so many NON-COVERED items in your warranties where we still have to come out of pocket with excessive expenses that you don't cover. Whatever happen to "Not My Problem" that you use George Foreman and his family to advertise in your TV ads?

Once you get the claim processed their system works like clockwork. However as a phone system goes it is the most frustrating, drives anxiety and distresses me so. That at times I just hang up and try again. The phones system gets stuck and asks you the same thing over and over again.

If I’m replacing a appliance that I use on a daily basis I don’t have time to wait on a gift certificate to replace my appliance. Was initially happy that dishwasher would be replaced. After accepting $246 e-gift offer to Lowe's, the cheapest dishwasher priced out at $399. I should have checked prices before accepting e-gift, since contract offers repair/replacement as necessary. I cannot replace dishwasher for $246. So, I am not too happy right now. I would appreciate a boost in the value of the e-gift to $399 to permit the purchase of the lowest priced dishwasher I saw in the store’s ad.

As for the warranty company, as usual only part of my garage was covered. Choice Warranty only covered about 30% of the repair bill as they only cover certain parts.

AC was leaking water inside & outside of house. About 8pm Friday, I input a service request via CHOICE website. The CHOICE web opened a new claim, but this was the 2nd recall for same issue, so I called CHOICE on Monday morning & explained to 2 reps. CHOICE waived the service fee & rescheduled with AVA's, same company as before. I received a call from a 2nd CHOICE contractor to schedule AC service, so I assume the web request was not cancelled by either CHOICE rep. Ava's provided excellent notifications & customer service!! We had Select and we didn’t like it. They weren’t up to par. So, we went with Choice and they got the job done. Family members also got Choice. I’ve had good people come out. When a back-ordered part delayed the repair of my refrigerator, they first marked my claim as resolved and then, over the course of a week, I called 4 times and spoke with 8 different people to get the repair job up and running again. Finally, a week later, they confirmed to me that when I was told a new source of the part had been sent to the repair company a week prior, that person, nor any of the 6 others I has spoken do since, had actually submitted anything to the repair company so I'd been waiting around and calling them over and over again for a week and absolutely nothing was done to try and get a new part for my fridge.
I'm two weeks from submitting the claim and I still have no ETA as to when a new part might arrive or when the fridge might be fixed. They acknowledged that they made a mistake but refuse to do anything to rectify it. I would 100% have been better off not wasting money on this plan, I could have used that money to buy a new fridge already and not be in this frustrating situation (they refused to cancel my plan/the potential future repair and refund me the money so I'm stuck waiting with no fridge indefinitely). Horrible customer service, long wait times to talk to anyone, no resolution when I do, and admittedly at least 6 employees who just don't do what they say they're going to do to solve your problem.

Customer service was kind, supportive, and helpful. You paid for parts and labor minus the $65 service fee. A/C works now and blows nice cold air. The capacitor went on our system with temperatures at 100 degrees. I submitted my claim and CHW quickly advised they could not find a provider so I was advised to find a provider. I found a provider who came out the next day and found the problem. CHW approved the recommendations from the provider and my system was fixed. CHW advised me a check was in the mail to me to reimburse me. I'm very happy with the service CHW provided me.

Broken belt in clothes dryer. Tumbler was not turning. Initial call was a disaster as agent could not understand my problem. Once repairman was assigned he was prompt in calling me. Initial date was too far in the future, but he had an opening and came 3 days after call. Once he determined the problem he sent photos to Choice. After not hearing from Choice Warranty for 4 days I called to follow up on status of repair. Agent was rude and could not care about handling my issue. This was the first claim I put in with Choice Home Warranty. Issue started late Thursday evening. I put in the claim that night and by 8:30 am the next day my claim was assigned and the plumber sent me a scheduling message. They were able to get it fixed by Monday afternoon. The lady I spoke with, (I'm so sorry, I don't remember her name), she was AMAZING! I couldn't get signed in - apparently if you copy and paste your policy #, you have to delete and manually enter the last digit, or it will not let you get signed into your account - she helped me with that. I then told her why I needed signed in - I needed to set up a claim - and she did that with me on the phone! She gave excellent customer service & was beyond friendly and helpful. When I called CHW, it took a couple of days but they were able to find a company to come in to fix the problem I had. The service man came in, checked the faucet and then came back to replace the faucet. It didn't take too long for him to do the work. Bottom Line CHW upheld the contract and fixed my AC. Although I had to pay 1100 for “out-of-pocket” expenses. Part of which was explained away as a disposal fee which ended being picked up by my local trash man. Bottom line a little annoyed I had to pay anything out of pocket since I paid for the warranty and the tech fee. But at the end of the day I still saved probably $6,500. Also, the CHW reps are very polite but very hard to understand. You have to take ownership of your claim. Don’t be passive. Call CHW and your tech every day for updates.

Our water heater stopped giving hot water. Choice warranty sent a tech from their contacts. Advanced plumbing came and diagnosed a faulty valve. They had to come back once the value arrived. I have had CHW for years. This was the first time I got fast, quick service concerning my hvac. They never covered coolant before. Or maybe the way the technical wrote it up that it wasn't covered.. Nonetheless they saved me hundreds of dollars this time. Thank you CHW.

When I signed up I was told that I would get a 24 Response. My technician Did not come for almost two weeks. I was without a toilet. So I replaced my toilet and was told I could not get a reimbursement. During my wait time for the technician to come I talk to several agents agents and was told I was getting a sooner date that that never happened. I have had my contract Soon to be two years. This was my first time having to call for a claim.

Had a home warranty that covered plumbing/leaks in the house. Had a leak in the basement and Choice Warranty denied the claim stating a paragraph in the agreement states claims that have leaks outside the foundation are not covered. I sent them pictures clearly showing them that the leak was in the basement from the ceiling which has a floor above it, not outside. I set up an appeal which was three days later and without considering any of the information, they stated it was still denied. When I asked how they could deny it stating that it was outside and the leak was clearly inside, they stated it had been determined it was denied and there wasn't anything I could do. She couldn't get me off the phone quick enough, their appeal process is worthless as well as their service and commitment, or lack thereof. Before she could get off the phone, I canceled my agreement and am awaiting my prorated payment for the remaining term of the agreement.
It appears they can make denials quickly and let your leak cause additional damage before the appeal can be scheduled, but refunding your money doesn't seem to be a priority with them as was getting my business, denying a legit claim and scheduling / actually reviewing the case in the so call appeals process. BUYER BEWARE!! Stay away from them unless you want to just give them money until you need them and then they will walk away from your agreement and be content with the money they got from you and not return it in good faith for paying your claim.

The air conditioning repairman came to my home, saw I am a single mom and scammed me out of 320 dollars so far and is trying to get another 1310 bucks! I am in contact with a case manager with Choice Home Warranty and hope they fix this mess.

I have only been with Choice for less than 60 days and my pool motor went out on a Saturday. I had my normal pool company come over and check it out and he stated that my pool motor had gone out. I called my home warranty company and someone was out to replace my pool motor with a brand new pool motor within 48 hours! Not to mention the company that they sent was topnotch!

Other than taking 2 weeks to get service the guy was good. Second time I’ve waited a long time for service. First time I never got service on a roof repair. This time if my unit had not started working again I would be canceling service. The guy you sent was fine, very nice, fixed problem and left.

Call Choice Home Warranty on yesterday June 19th to file a claim. The process was easy. Within minutes I got an email for the next day to fix the problem. I will highly recommend Choice Warranty! Choice was quick with response. Company replaced dishwasher part then came back because it still didn't work. Charged twice for service call. They stated different problem but it wasn't. Choice said they shouldn't have charged twice but still haven't got money back for second call. Choice states e-check for replacement as now company states part not available.

Not impressed with the experience at all. First, the contractor assigned didn’t reach out and wouldn’t pick up the phone for a week. I had to argue and stay firm with rep on the phone to switch provider. Second provider was much better and super responsive, but told me that the warranty didn’t cover my drywall that was damaged from water leak (outside water seeping in). However, I had to pay for the service call regardless. One week of waiting, $65 poorer and problem not fixed. So I am paying $65 for contractor to call warranty company. Terrible.

In Texas with heat index being 110, I have been without air conditioning for 9 days. I’m 72 with a heart condition and can not afford a motel. The AC company was very nice and did bring me a small window unit for one room, the temperature ranges from 80 to 85 in that room with it going constantly. A/C company said my unit needs to be replaced, Choice Home drag their feet and denied it. They told me it would be patched, if that doesn’t work then they will see about replacing. So finally after 9 days, I will have it patched today. A/C company is great, too bad Choice Warranty does not care.

In early June, I submitted a claim to Choice Home Warranty for a hot water heater repair. I was assigned a technician who was supposed to come to the house the next day. After repeated no show after now show of the technician, I am still waiting. I notified Choice Home Warranty numerous times about the technician not coming. Choice Home Warranty refused to assign another technician. As of June 19th, I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT HOT WATER FOR TWO WEEKS, still waiting for Harris Plumbing and Drain Care, LLC of Atlanta to come and repair my hot water heater. And, Choice has the audacity to ask if I want to renew my warrant services as it approaches at the end of the month. What do you think?

In the past I had cChoice home warranty coverage and it was great. Since I refinanced my mortgage I decided to come back to Choice with such a good senior's policy. I had a sump pump that stopped working due to our massive amount of rain in Colorado. My holding tank was FULL. I turned a claim in and was able to get someone out next day and fixed 2 days later. This could have cost me much much more. Thanks!!

I called in to start a claim but unfortunately the person on the phone had so much background noise (people talking) that I was repeating myself 3 to 4 times. I just hung up and and filed the claim online. I prefer the human touch but it was not happening today.

The tech was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend his services to my associates. He communicated all my potential issues and was able to come back and replace the unit since Choice didn’t cover it. If I need any further plumbing service I will more than likely be calling this company back to complete repair or replacement of any other items that fall in choice’s grey areas.

It took some time to get a new fridge. But took almost two months which is too long. My wife is very sick with cancer and it didn't seem to matter to Choice customer service Staff. Your customer service Needs to expedite claims much faster. So in the future I won't have to wait two months to get my claim processed.

Niveda ** was the claims consultant and she was very well informed of the process and understood the claim challenge and worked to provide the appropriate claim reimbursement based on the product specification that required to be replaced. Niveda ** explained that CHW has changed the policy of like-to-like replacement, as my customers have complained of the replacement not atheistically fitting the kitchen, hence the policy of claim reimbursement has been followed and accordingly reviewed the official policy to validate the allowed claim for specific product features for the replacement.

I submitted the claim online and within one hour, I got an e-mail from Choice Warranty with an appointment with a plumber for the same day. The plumber, Pipepals came out on time and did a great job. He was very courteous and even showed me how to easily replace the cartridge myself the next time.

Lots of good experience. Only one time had emergency plumbing problem. I submit a claim, someone showed up from top notch. I was happy and while he was working someone from different company called and I find out I had two claim number with the same problem which I don’t know how this happened. I was charged $125 and never got pay back with two plumbing insurance. One for outside, one from inside.

This process took 10 days to get someone here. 10 days of no toilet, shower or using water. I had to get mad to get results. The company you sent did awesome. The customer service is horrible. This should not have taken this long. Retrain your staff if you want repeat customers.

The tech who came 8 days ago was extremely polite, experienced and professional. I am still awaiting my system to be approved from CHW for all repairs/replacing needed and hoping this gets done very soon. The process has been a bit slow up to this point and I am lucky it has not been very hot yet where not having the system hasn't bothered us as of yet but I was expecting a quicker process.

Beyond the day I made a claim, I felt there was absolutely no effort to find a technician to solve my issue. Within 2 hrs of making the claim, I was sent an email offering reimbursement if I were to find my own technician. At that point, I already didn't feel like a customer being taken care of when they gave an option to put the onus on me to solve it myself. After 2 weeks, I sent to message asking where progress was on my claim; I was told they were still "working hard" to find a technician. After 3 weeks of nothing, I finally did take matters into my own hands; two phone calls, two hours, and it was done. Now, I can't get reimbursed simply for not following a lousy protocol with seems (IMO) made to reduce claims paid out.
If you're in my shoes, would you have someone come out to your house, diagnose the problem, and then have to submit the diagnosis to CHW for approval to go ahead? Would I have to wait 3 or more weeks for that approval? Would the technician have to come back out for a second trip (and second trip charge) even though it was an easy 15 minute fix? No, I got it done right away because I'd already been waiting too long on the incompetence of CHW. Meanwhile, during those 3 weeks I still got about 2 calls per day to renew my warranty. If they'd put that kind of effort into fixing my issue in the first place, I might have renewed. A person did reach out to me merely to explain to me again why my claim wouldn't be reimbursed. CHW, you need to take a look at your policies and what matters most to the customers when it comes to feeling valued.

The AC stopped working in the hottest days. The company that came out took 3 days to come. The said they would be there the day before then said they couldn't. They did apologize. Once they were here they fixed the problem. The technician came as promised at the end of his day.

Placed order on June 3. First appointment June 13 no show. 2nd appt. June 14 no show. Finally 3rd appt the tech showed up. I was not contacted at all about the missed appt. If I was still working I would have miss 3 days' pay. But I had to change 2 doctors' appt for the 13. This is not how you should run a business.

The tech said the system had refrigerant. I doubt that finding since the system has an unlocated leak. It is still losing ground when it gets in the 90's. It used to do that in the high 90's and higher.

Nick from Kelly’s Plumbing was not only prompt, but made the repair in record time. He arrived at 11:10 and was finished before 11:30. He was aware of my hair appointment and made a point of my finishing quickly. I would definitely hire them again. I hope Kelly’s Plumbing becomes Choice’s go to company for all future calls in Fargo-Moorhead.
