Just a note to say about the technician. He appeared to be knowledgeable. However, he couldn't fix the dishwasher, because of a part. This same dishwasher for claim # ** has been reported since 17 April 2023. I am not satisfied with your organization for lack of urgency. It was reported that the dishwasher need replacing, and your organization has not accepted the technician recommendation or replace the dishwasher. Apparently I might need to get a lawyer to look into this matter.

Prompt Appliance was assigned to our service request. They were just that - prompt. We had to adjust the time for arrival and that worked out for both the technician and us. He arrived and after working with the machine, he quickly identified the problem with the machine and submitted the report to Choice Home Warranty. Choice then recommended replacement rather than repair. We were notified of the amount offered for replacement and accepted the offer. At this point, we are waiting for the funding from Choice for the replacement. Other than the wait for the agreed amount, we are once again pleased with the service from Choice Home Warranty.

I was told an estimated time of arrival 12 to 2. Then at 3 o'clock I called because no one had arrived. Dispatch told me she would call me when they were on their way. 10 minutes later she called. Said they were on their way .. An hour and a 1/2 later I called because I still were not here and she said they were running late so what turned in to A 2-hour waiting period ended up being 6 hours. And then they could not get hold of Choice Warranty To get confirmation to do the work and now I'm having to wait 2 days later for them to return today.

My A/C Technician was prompt, courteous and handled the problem with my A/C on the day of my appointment. Other than it taking about a week to get him to come out, which was not his fault because of it being the heat of summer, I would highly recommend him.

I choose you for 24-48 hours service. It has been a nightmare from day one. At least 8 phone calls and hours on the hold including waiting time. Also, you gave ADT as an added incentive. This was also a nightmare. It took 5 appointments and misstated things after booking them to sell me more. Both services have staff or parts. Hoping my appointment for July 19th happens. The part has been here 3 days after diagnosis.

Dave from Hendricks came out to access my air conditioning unit, he was able to pinpoint the issue right away and explained the issue to me. As soon as it was approved he came out and fixed the issue. He was on time and very knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend Hendricks.

The technician did an excellent job. They was knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. They was kind and courteous and cleaned up very well when they finished. I would love to have them to do a job for me anytime. I hope the next time I need something done I can get the same persons.

This was a very good experience. Safa Garage Door was to come on July 11th. I called and they came the next day...on July 4th. They showed up on time, got to work promptly and cleaned up when they finished. It was very hot in the garage too. So far, the door is working very well!

I can’t say that I understand why I keep paying my monthly fee and the ever increasing copay for diagnostic/service fee. Very rarely does Choice actually cover repairs. If the fees hadn’t increased so dramatically, I would feel better. Corporate “inflation”. Potentially use YouTube and local businesses for lower fees to fix yourself.

If my initial experience with Joey is an indication, I will be very happy with Choice Home Warranty. He clearly explained my options, the coverage, and the benefits of the Choice Home warranty. I am happy to have the peace of mind afforded by this coverage. This is the first time I've chosen to have this type of coverage.

I am very skeptical of the whole home warranty deal, and I'm hoping that this company follows through on what I was told tonight. I was told that there are no deductibles on repairs or replacements, only a $75 service call fee. Because I am a disabled veteran and I started the policy on the 4th of July my monthly premium is only going to be $43.75 per month. As I said, if this company follows exactly those terms as they were put to me, this is excellent warranty coverage for my home.

The company for the Attic fan showed up quickly. The Vac system is taking longer. But I'm sure they will show after the 4th. Getting customer service was quick. Everyone was pleasant and professional. Just waiting for the Air condition Service. If they hold to the contract there should be no problems.

This repair call was my first experience with Choice Home Warranty after signing up with them about 4 months earlier, after ending 22 years of warranty service from American Home Shield. The technician Choice selected (L&F Services of Huntsville; David) was prompt, courteous, professional, and thorough. And while the tech was servicing one unit, he noticed an issue with an adjacent second unit, and serviced that unit as well. We are very pleased with the work performed and both units are now operating as expected.

It’s been almost 3 weeks since I’ve had someone come out to address my issue. I’ve had to pay the fee twice and the work order was closed but never resolved. I found this out by looking online because the last plumber said he was waiting on authorization to complete the job but he never heard anything back. So I put in another request and then was told by the system that it could go through because it was the 3rd request for a water issue. So I had to call in to have the agent do it for me and she was telling me that she would handle it for me. I just would have to pay the fee when they arrived and I told her I don’t feel that I have to pay another company a third time for what the second company was just waiting on authorization to finish and fix. I want this resolved quickly because this has gone on too long. I’ve been operating without hot water in the house.

George was a great representative - he made this "usually" complex and confusing sale quite easy...He representative of your company...He made sure that we received the best price...When he first called, I was in the middle of Making and Offer on the house in question. He agreed to call me back in 30 minutes - Which he did - and we completed the process and received a better monthly price and a better lower "per-service-call" fee...Overall, George took great care of us and I would recommend your company based solely upon my experience with your Rep - George...

Each and every person I talked to was either rude or you couldn’t understand them. Kendall was the ONLY one who was polite and actually spoke clear English. I was already hot and irritated because the AC went out (central TX) but she was so polite and understanding. She got it to where I could get my own tech (which I already had one on the way because this was 7/3 and waiting their 24 hours with two elderly disabled people in my home was not an option). However my claim still got denied. Apparently your AC capacitor going out in TX isn’t “normal wear and tear”. I do NOT recommend Choice and I have made sure my realtor knows as well so she can warn all future home buyers looking for a warranty. Paid $1485 for absolutely nothing… VERY UPSET!!

I was worried that I would have to get a new range due to its age and tech could not find the part. Thankfully Choice was able to find the part and have it delivered to my home. All I have to do is call the tech once the part is delivered. Steve, the tech was very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks Choice.

The Person who doing work is fine. I was told that I would get a phone call from you about my claim if it was approved. Never received a call. I saw an email saying my work was complete but no work was done. The guys was waiting on approval. So now I have to wait additional time to have my issue fixed. There is really no communication between customer and you.

My Service was the best. I reported my service was out on Thursday. The company communicated with me letting me know they were located a technician. My technician came on Monday and he was awesome. He came in, replaced the part in like 15 minutes. The old warranty company I was with their technician were horrible

Alpha plus was prompt and efficient… The technician thoroughly diagnosed the issue and resolved it professionally. He also provided me tips on routine maintenance of my water heater. I would recommend them for water heater repair. They are honest and provide expert service. They carefully diagnosed the sensor lockout issue and installed a new sensor, which resolved my issue.

Electrician provided was knowledgeable & performed the necessary repairs in a timely manner. Very professional! However I must report an issue that is a huge issue with your company; it is impossible to get through to a knowledgeable employee to discuss my issues before getting cut off or transferred to another department where the call is dropped. Believe me it doesn’t just happen once but multiple times. There has been a time when your company was closed and customer is referred to online completion of a claim, just not the way a customer for many years or just a new customer should be treated!

Very professional, explained the coverage and how the warranty works. I would have liked the conversation to be louder so as to not have to ask him to repeat so often. He gave me time to discuss this with spouse and returned call as agreed upon. The rep was courteous and respectful, and explained why it was a good idea to purchase the warranty for peace of mind if something should break and need repair or replacement

Garage door was not covered in warranty but was sent a repairman out anyway. Everyone was confused. They performed the repairs needed so I can get my door operating. They were very professional and did some amazing work. Thank you Safa Garage Door. Highly recommend this company to everyone. Great job guys. As far as the warranty company i give them a zero for wasting everyone's time.

The service tech from Goodman HVAC was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly and tried many different things, not only to fix the known issue but also to improve system performance. Stayed around to make sure everything working and made sure that I could follow up with him as needed. I would highly recommend Goodman HVAC.

I have had three issues since first deciding on Choice. All three were promptly attended two and repaired without question. When I call the representative makes some inquiries about the nature of the issue and then advises me that a service representative will be contacting me as to their time of arrival which is usually within a day.

Every time someone comes out, the issue is handled even if you have to come back. I’m glad I signed it was Choice warranty. It has really helped me save a lot of money. The companies that deal with are usually very good. Love people they come out. Take good care.

Choice Home Warranty doesn't want to cover any claim. They always seem to have a way out. Had three homes covered by them and going to American Home Shield after a not being covered after having to replace an entire HVAC unit. Receive no followup when they can't find a service provider. The company sucks.

My dryer stopped working and we thought it was the heating element. A Sears technician arrived early in the day as scheduled and promptly diagnosed our problem as a circuit board that would need to be replaced but is no longer made (and the dryer is 18 years old). He spoke to Choice and they agreed to replace the dryer, which means they gave us money towards buying a new one. At first, I opted for the Lowe's gift card but then realized it would take up to 30 days to get to me. I called and they switched it to a check instead which allows me to buy a dryer and know some of the price will be compensated (about 2/3). Not bad for an 18-year-old dryer!

I am pleased dealing with Chantel ** (most helpful), but I feel the resolution to my dying microwave was less than desirable. Instead of replacing my microwave, I am given a e-card voucher to purchase and install myself. The amount is inadequate to cover even half the expense. It is very discouraging to have a company to act in this manner.

Contacted Choice Home Warranty on June 27 and reported my problem with my A/C. It’s July 4th and no one has shown up yet!!! I called three different times and the response was.” We’re trying to find someone to assign your claim to!!! Pitiful and unprofessional. I’m very disappointed in your company after paying for a three-year commitment. I’ve been ripped off!!

He was knowledgeable, quick. He knew what he was doing and it didn’t take long. He was nice & respectful. I didn’t have any problems and he even went beyond to take pictures of the damage that was caused from the source of the problem. He said he would submit it to see if the warranty would cover it.

It was stunning that a company 75 miles south of me accepted the repair. There are MANY companies in my area and not one would accept the job. That tells me very few want to work for CHOICE. Why does CHOICE have so few to no companies in the immediate area of Harford County???

I believed that my warranty would either fix or replace an appliance in my home. I had a previous home warranty with Sears. They replace my high quality dryer with the cheapest on the market. It did not have the features of my old one. Do I switched to Choice. I was told this would not happen. Am appliance with the same features and similar quality would replace an appliance that could not be fixed. Instead, when I was told my washer would not be fixed Choice Home Warranty told me it would not be fixed or replace. I was told they would give me $300. What a horrible experience!!
I spoke with my assigned relation person. She would not listen or even try to understand. Even the cheapest washer on sale at Lowes, where it was suggested I shop was more than $600. The agent says in the fine print that Choice will offer a buyout price that they alone decide on. It is no where near the cost of replacement. I have learned a chillingly expensive lesson. Do not trust a home warranty yo be a good deal for you. It only causes financial suffering for the policy holder if choice decides not to fix your appliance.

I spoke with Norvette at 4:00 pm today and she confirmed that I would be getting a reimbursement on some of my cost from the first garage that broke 2 weeks ago. I assume an email will follow that will allow me to submit the invoice as I went into an old email and it did not allow me to attach it. Norvette understood my dilemma and determined that I should be reimbursed a portion of the cost.

Tracey ** was excellent during the discussion of what was covered and how the total home would be covered based on my special needs with a mother-in-law suite. In addition, she was excellent in discussing extended coverage allowing more savings over time. Also, other rating sites gave Choice excellent claim coverage remarks.

I was asked to provide a review and rate my experience with CHW. It is with great satisfaction that I now get to post my dissatisfaction with the process I had to endure for the servie I was promised. On two of the three times I attempted to request service, I was stonewalled, put off with referencing the "Contract You Signed" and forced to wait for days for help. Only with great effort and continued plannning with many questions did I find out I was told things that simply weren't true. OR was told things that simply put my in a revlolving door of waiting. OR told to find my own service people and front the bill myself and hope that I wasn't then facing them not paying the claim for whatever reason you might have found "within the contract".
I distrust and will not renew. In fact, I am on the first couple weeks of a renewal that I may consider cancelling. Social media will surely be used to share my horrible experience. With some followers on my various twitter, facebook and other channels, I am about to warn all to not use this company. As a mortgage broker of 27 years and Realtor of 35 years, I think my experience will carry weight in those who may be considering obtaining a warrantly plan.

It's also really easy to get in touch with them as their automated system Is incredibly easy, you don't get stuck having to call back or continue to press ) to speak to representative! I talked to Albert and he was very friendly and was able to answer all my questions. He also gave me what I think is a very good deal. The only complaint is that he did not mention that If I cancel in 30 days or after the refund is reduced by a service fee. Not sure how much that is.

I was pleasantly pleased with the company because I have a six month old grandson who is on a breathing and heart monitor and needs cool air to breathe. I told the person from this company and he rescheduled me for that day, Friday vice Monday which was what he had open. I thank him for accommodating me. The outcome was not very good though because he could not get an answer from Choice Warranty so we had to stay with relatives until the claim is approved, if it's going to be approved. The technician was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

I took picture of new part which looks very different from original part. No receipt, no part number, no information. Your service provider was nice, but he says that you do not give receipts. I want one. I will give you 5 business days to provide a detailed receipt with part number. If you fail to deliver I will give you a bad review for being unprofessional. What are you trying to hide? Installer could not find complete instructions on install and ground line, etc. SLOPPY SUPPORT.

He was relentless. Then he put on another guy with ADT security, and he was just as bad. I hope your company is a good one, but please knock off the sales pressure--good grief!

I recently made a claim for my AC to be repaired. The turnaround time from when you make a claim and receive service is ridiculously long and inhumane. Be prepared to keep calling for updates. Their policy holds that a claim can sit there 24-48 hours before it is picked up by one of their contractors. Then you have to wait until the contractor calls you to get an actual appointment. Imagine having to wait to get your AC repaired for that extended amount of time in Texas heat weather above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I waited for 37 hours to get a call back and would have to wait for 2 days for them to actually come in and service my unit. I couldn’t and was forced to call someone else instead. I had to pay out of pocket without being reimbursed. According to them I was not eligible for a refund, since it had not been authorized.

We put in the claim for our garage door and the company called us the next day to schedule our appointment. The technician, Kevin, was very good and fixed the problem quickly. He explained everything that he had done and what problems we might encounter in the future. Our garage door has never worked better. I would recommend this company and especially Kevin to anyone who needs their garage door serviced or repaired.

I signed up due to my air conditioner going out and received notice that my claim was denied and I further find out I have to wait 30 days to file a claim. That’s crap. If I’m going to start paying for something right now, then I should not have to wait to get someone out to fix my air conditioning system especially when I mentioned that I had the flu and passed out from the heat. Customer service is definitely not what it used to be. I’m just going to cancel and just say screw it, this is how life is and it’s all about the money, not the customer.

Our A/C went out on a Saturday (100 degree), I initiated the claim. Within 3 days a company was out to fix it. Only downfall was timeliness of communication of status. Once the ball started rolling, we had a great service experience. The company that was contacted was excellent all the way around. Our Gas oven was not always heating up to the set temperature, or sometimes displaying an error code. After reporting the problem to Choice Home Warranty, they arranged for the technician to come on the following day. He arrived on time, was professional, friendly, and replaced a part which fixed the problem. We were very pleased with the speedy and efficient service.

Our largest HVAC systems kept cutting in and out and would not cool the house. Called Choice and the HVAC tech put in cool coolant of which the system started working correctly and has been cooling the house ever since. Great job by tech. Hopefully Choice will be as responsive in sending out great techs in the future.

United Appliance Repair sent a wonderful repair technician. I was concerned because I had lunch guests coming. He found the problem, fixed it and was in and out in 15 minutes flat well before my guests arrived. The repair was great, quick and completed on time.

The tech showed up at the scheduled time. He told me within minutes he knew what the issue was but was worried he wouldn’t be able to get the part because places were closed on Saturday. He was able to quickly locate the part. With all those obstacles he had my ac up and running very quickly.

I was reluctant to purchasing a home warranty and did a survey. Most people highly recommend Choice warranty. I decided to purchase a policy. Fast forward 3 months. Hot water heater cracked and as soon as I called a technician was at my house within 2 days…took 2 days to approve. Very pleased.

I have not been pleased with this service since I got it. I bought the spa after explaining to the guy exactly what I had. He audited me. It would be covered. When the heater went out they told me it wasn’t covered. Next my furnace started acting up. They sent someone out that replaced a part but that caused something else to go out. The tech Warned me that it may not work right until the other part is replaced. Choice is now saying it’s not normal wear and tear. My furnace is over 25 years old.
I’m NOT pleased with their service. And their phone people were very condescending. One guy wanted to explain how the warranty is it insurance. They said if I could get them to review my initial call and see that the guy did assure me my hot tub would be covered they’d honor it. They gave me the date and time of the call and transferred me to a woman who said yes they could look up my call but they won’t. What a joke. I spent almost 800.00 by the time I bought a warranty on my hot tub and on my free standing freezers.

Before we made the claim, we tried solving it ourselves, but we are glad we did, because without the great knowledge of the electrician we could never done it. He found the issue and solve in a swift manner. Great service, we are very pleased and grateful to have Choice Home Warranty.

We called about a ceiling fan. The tech came out and replaced a 52" five blade fan with a 40" four blade fan. When we complained, the tech said, "That's all I've got." We called Choice to complain and have them rectify it and they said "Read your contract" over and over again. They said we accepted it so it's our fault. We didn't accept it, what were we to do, have him take it down and be left with nothing? So now we are former Choice customers and happily with one of their competitors.

The tech was great but the process was frustrating. We could never talk to a person and had to reschedule twice due to sick calls - this resulted in us having to take 3 days off for the 8am-5pm window that got canceled halfway through the day. We have made this comment and still have not received a response about this concern. We have also tried to talk to someone about the warranty that we have on another house and we have gotten no response.

I am pleased with the response choice provided for my failed AC repair. The approval process for the spare parts was quick enough to make the repairs before the summer heat got stronger. There were some delays from the technician side to get the parts; but I feel, Choice did their part in accelerating the process. Overall, I’m happy with the service I got. :)

Icemaker not repaired. Technician said low water pressure was the problem. Technician was hard to understand and translate. Thought he would install new icemaker but that was not mentioned. Sold me a cap he said I needed but just seemed to be cosmetic. Mentioned a heater was needed to loosen ice. Seems this should be part of the icemaker.

Nelson, the technician was excellent but the one issue that I had is that we had to wait 5 days before any service was provided. My wife has a disability and the heat was very difficult for her to deal with. The temperature in the home was nearly 80 degrees which made it very unpleasant.

This contractor was good. He came, thought he fixed the leak, but when I discovered it still leaked, he was out the next day and was able to fix. It took Choice Home Warranty sucks! Not happy with Choice Home Warranty. The worker who came out was very nice, but also late. If your Warranty doesn't cover most anything that has to do with your garage door, then why do you even put that it's covered when its clearly not. They are good to cover small things but nothing major. So I get to pay the 900.00 dollars along with my service charge out of my own pocket. Probably won't renew.

Motor is on backorder with no ETA and everyone I get in the phone reads a script and ignores my question. How long do we wait? I have no washing machine.. My light fan and outlet all went out, called Choice and received immediate response they were getting a repair person. The next day they informed me they could not get anyone free, I should find an electrician and they will pay, minus my deduction. Next found one and the repair made. Same thing happen last year when our air went out, only they found one and everything repaired the next day. This company is great and I would recommend it to everyone. Forgot another incident where an electrician was needed, another fast fix and he had to walk all over the house to find the fault. If CHW will release the invoices I do not mind. They have proof this information is correct.

The first tech that was scheduled did not have a contractor license. Then had to wait another week to get another tech here. James was the tech the second time and was very nice. I put a pool claim in and didn’t get anyone to my house for 58 days. I called everyday and they keep telling me they are working on it. Finally got someone to look at it and the company denied my claim even though the pool guy said another part needed to be fixed because they waited so long to fix it. I also heard that they denied 90% of their pool claims.

He arrived within the time frame, determined what was causing the clog, and cleared the clog in the sink. He was very personable and he did not waste any time. This is ridiculous! One of the worse parts about this situation is that they schedule my appointments before calling me to confirm if that time is good for me. The plumbing Technician from J.R. Plumbing Company was prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. He arrived at the appointed time as scheduled. Purchased home warranty program, paid one year in advance and was told cancel anytime, no penalties or fees. First attempt at service call Choice could not find tech so was told to find my own and they would reimburse. Paid twice the agree service fee to get a tech who diagnosed problem. Choice refused to accept diagnosis unless in their format. Tech company refuses to fill out all their forms but offers to send diagnosis. Choice refuses. Choice refuses to reimburse the service call. Asked for management, get same canned response, "We will not reimburse, we will not accept diagnosis or estimate in any form other than ours." Asked to cancel policy, told I will get less than half what I paid and less a $50 early cancellation. STAY CLEAR.

Our washing machine is about 6 years old. The lid won't stay open. There are cracks near the base by the hinges. In less than an hour our claim was denied claiming it isn't "normal wear and tear". How the heck do you know that? Just what exactly are we doing to a washing machine lid that isn't "normal"? It opens - it closes - that's it! 1. Poor, non-reliable vendor. (Assigned technician No Show. Then rescheduled me 10 days out in excessive heat.)
2. Bad customer for claim (long phone hold times). When sales department answers instantly.
3. Poor response time for handling claim. Customer service insisted I wait 10 days in excessive heat conditions for their incompetent technician who did NO SHOW for first appointment. I had to demand they give me another technician. They were not able to find one so I called for help from church member.
4. Not being fully reimbursed. (Paid $340.00 for repair $85.00 deducted.) My repair person did not charge service fee. CHW has no answer for this.

Your tech advised me of that and I had the original installer do the repair! This tech was professional and kind in his approach. He had done work for me on another appliance and did an equally fine job. He came within the first two hours of the 4 hour window. I didn't have to wait all day on him. He did a thorough job on the appliance. He found the problems, made the repairs, vacuumed out the dryer and had it going within 1 1/2 hours. My claim started on 6/17/2023, and on 6/24; 7 phone calls later I received a replacement notification. It was a gift card to Lowe's for $484.00. First of all, I was not sure I wanted to go to Lowe's nor was I given any alternative. After getting a number from the Better Business Bureau for a CHW claims representative, I was told that I could be reimbursed with a check that would take 4-6 weeks, or a gift card which would take 2 weeks to receive and CHW would raise the replacement amount to $540.00. I asked how they came up with that amount because nowhere was I going to get a refrigerator/freezer for that amount of $$ even "Builders standard equipment" as stated in your contract. It was just going to cost more.
My old refrigerator had a water dispenser and ice maker. I basically was looking at a 20 cubic foot, white, top freezer without an ice maker and without a water dispenser, and the cheapest on sale at Lowe's, HomeDepot and Best Buy was $717.00, I state on sale and that sale was ending 6/28, and then the refrigerator was $999.00. So the amount offered was not even reasonable. Also I would have to wait two weeks for the gift card to be mailed. Why mailed? You can do electric gift cards, everything else you do is through a automated system which can not be changed, apparently without more delay and unresponsiveness. Waiting for the gift card would have put me a month without a refrigerator. As it is I have to wait to get a replacement.
Dealing with people regarding the original claim was a nightmare. They were hard to understand and could not answer any questions. As usual, I had to find my own repair people and then they had to get an approval before they could begin repairs. The diagnosis was rejected because CHW stated this repair company no longer had a contract. Even though they had other customers with CHW and they had just been out to fix my fridge in May with CHW approval, AND CHW scheduled the appointment. The repair people had to submit the diagnosis four times before it was accepted.
Truly, getting my fridge fixed or replaced has been a full-time job because it has taken hours of waiting and numerous phone calls. You are not replacing my refrigerator with "builders standard equipment" and if you are, please tell me next time where I can get a fridge for $540.00. All the reviews are similar to mine and if it was not for my frustration I would not even bother writing this because apparently it is a total waste of time as proven by the numerous bad reviews with customers having very similar complaints to mine. Your rating by the BBB is 1.4/5, and very understandable.

Was told my claim was denied. I don’t know how they can prove a power surge happened. The tech didn’t tell me that. I guess I won’t be recommending people get your warranty service. Because there’s always some loophole for you NOT to have to pay for something. No more warranty for me. Waste of my money!!

This was my first opportunity to need Choice Home Warranty company and was quite pleased with the fast response. I had to switch warranty companies this year because they raised my annual charge, cost of each service, and added a replacement charge.

The technicians you sent to repair the electrical did a great job. When you sent someone over for the previous claim on the air conditioner, you told US to get OUR OWN TECHNICIAN and then you didn't like his diagnosis format and refused to reimburse us. If you don't like the way the technicians that you tell the customers to find, do their diagnosis report then DON'T tell them to get THEIR OWN technician! You find them the technician!!! And you can't EXPECT the customer to wait an extra day or two to get his air conditioner repaired when it's very hot while you decide whether or not you like his diagnosis form.
I also don't like having to pay for 2 service calls and waiting 2 or 3 days for the technician to return after he or we submit the diagnosis. It needs to all be done on the same day. That alone is enough for someone NEVER TO WANT A HOME WARRANTY AGAIN! I also hate talking to the foreigners in your customer service department. They're VERY HARD to understand and act like robots.

Nice service man, very polite repaired AC unit. I requested that both units be repaired and the service e-ticket ok only had one unit. I had to call and get another service request. Lady I spoke with helped me. She said there would be only one service call fee since it was an error. They charged me 2 service fees. Other than that it was great. Quick and easy to fill out request.

The condensate drain that feeds into my bathroom sink clogged you and overflowed the sink. I experienced a 43 minute hold time to request help. After waiting two days I was given the choice to find my own plumber. Having done so I scheduled an appointment the next day (Monday). After the plumber examined the job and identified the problem. I then was forced to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for authorization to complete the job. Upon receiving authorization it took 35 more minutes to complete the job. Then it was difficult to submit my claim for reimbursement. Choice is not a customer service priority company. I will not be renewing my contract with them. Poor, poor customer service

Saul was great! He got my A/C fixed in no time and checked that everything was in working order. He added the necessary refrigerant to get my system cooling properly again. We discussed different types of UV light systems. Overall he was very knowledgeable about HVAC. I would recommend using him to anyone who asked.

I recently had a tech to fix my AC, Hector with Uptown Heating and Air. He was fast and efficient. He was polite and respectful. Thank you for coming and finding out what my problem was. Hector found out that the AC was working properly but referred me to the actual problem. My AC was up and working again.

We had the overhead spring break. Called and the repairman came asap. He traveled 4 hours round trip but had a smile on his face when he arrived! He was great! Friendly and skilled. He was on time for the repair. He knew customer service. He was very quick with the repair. Very polite. Professional, and I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

My power was off initially at original time set for my first appointment because of storms. The technician was very kind to work around that outage. After getting diagnostics done; before he could do repair work someone hit a pole cutting it in half just down the street. No power again!! He was very nice working with my appointment rescheduling again because of power issues. Very nice and responsible technician was Cedrick. I was very pleased with his work ethic. The technician was right on with his knowledge. Problem comes with Choice Warranty not providing service. There was no personal connection on why the issue is not resolved. I am without using my unit because the tub was found to have a crack in it. So they say I abused it.

The first tech who came to check the dryer issue did not identify the problem correctly. The second tech came out and found the problem real fast as it was just a breaker issue. Nothing wrong with outlet for dryer as the first tech stated. Both Tech was very kind and professional.

Entering the claim online is seamless and the contractors that I have had are professional and timely. The only complaint I had was I entered the claim on needed to add to the claim which would have been the same area which was plumbing... so the plumber was coming anyway, but Choice wanted me to enter a whole new claim and pay another $75 because it was not added with the original request. Mind you the original request was made less than 24 hours prior. I thought that was silly. The only other complaint I have is customer service is not open at 8am EST so it took a while to get someone on the phone for an early morning issue that couldn't be handled online.

A/C stopped cooling Sunday, filed claim same day, got email Monday confirming claim. Tuesday, tech called about noon and was onsite within thirty minutes and repaired in just a few minutes. Tech had part, capacitor, on hand and installed in no time. Tech was very knowledgeable and professional. It was well over 100 degrees and no shade but he worked diligently to fix problems.

Part for my broken dishwasher was no longer available so Choice is giving me $591 to replace it. Their initial offer was $246 but couldn’t buy a new dishwasher was that. So they made me another offer. My claims agent was super nice. I’ve been with Choice for 5 years and they have been great.

The service man you sent took several days to come to my home. He had to look at the machine even though I had told him the problem, and then order parts. He should have brought parts with him. He ended up taking my washer and bringing another. My problem was not completely solved even though I explained it to you and to him. It took over 2 weeks to get my washer going again. It still cuts off during the cycle with a washer full of water and clothes. I have called to open a new claim but couldn't speak to a person. I was given claim **. I had forgotten about your service for my air conditioner until after I had booked a repair tomorrow. Updated on 06/30/2023: Preston Air Repair was on time, courteous, thorough, professional and got the job done quickly. He did not try to sell a bunch of things I didn't need and would be glad to have him back the next time I have A/C problems. He is also a veteran of our military who served honorably.
Original Review: I currently have 2 of my 3 a/c units working at less than full capacity. The first one was reported around June 6 and after a service call and some phone call was sent an email saying I would have to pay $2358 that you knew of to get it repaired/replaced. After a few days I said to proceed. The next thing I get is a request for $997 for parts, which I assumed was part of the $2358, but today I find out that is not part of the quote. I find it hard to believe you did not know these parts would be required when you sent the email about the $2358.
The 2nd unit started acting up a few days later and after about 4 days you found someone to come look at it. The technician (Preston A/C) found the problem (core leak), reported it to you with pictures, but you decided he needed to return and do a N2 leak test, which he performed, finding the exact same leak he sent to you from the initial inspection. That test was performed and reported to you on Saturday. I heard nothing from you until I called you today and was told the technician was waiting on parts, but I had been told nothing. I expected to at least be informed that the repair was approved and someone would be in touch when parts and the technician were available.
When I call for information on a claim, I get a representative that speaks poor English and is hard to understand, does not listen to me unless I raise my voice to get them to stop talking long enough for me to ask my question, request they talk slowly so I can understand them, or explain why they are not meeting my needs. I gave a 3 star review in hopes some of these situations will be rectified.

We have paid for a home warranty and want our AC units repaired in a timely manner. We do NOT want to pay out of pocket for any repairs. We want you for find a technician and get the repairs completed per the terms of the purchased warranty. This is a time sensitive issue as this is Arizona in summer.

My refrigerator stop working. I call them then they set up appointment with tech 3 days later. How can I keep my stuff without refrigerator? Tons of food destroyed. I never Renew my policy with them. Next I had plumbing problem before. Tech came after 5 days. This is really disappointment. I changed my home insurance last year. That was my mistake. Never had that bad experience.

Dryer stopped working and needed service. Under the terms of my Home Warranty this was covered. A technician was contacted and came out within a day to repair it. This was the third claim I had on this home we purchased last August. The first experience was not good; the other two were handled much better.

While I am very happy with the technician, I am very disappointed in the outcome decision by Choice. The AC system is leaking and needs to be replaced. It seems this is like all other insurance situations, where you pay into a system, but you don't get what you pay for. I have an elder parent living with me, and the AC is essential to her wellbeing. Being told that it will leak out in August, so call us back is disturbing. I will be calling and I hope that the outcome is much much much much better.

My water heater went out on 6/13, but I thought maybe it was just a fluke. I filed a claim on 6/15. It took them 2 days to find a tech and it was going to be another 4 days for the tech to be able to come out. I reached out and the tech came on 6/19. He thought it was the pilot light. He lit it and I told him less than 2 hours of him leaving the issued remained. He came back out and told me 3 parts needs to be replaced for my issue to be properly resolved. We notified Choice. Choice authorized one part to be replaced and said come back if that does not work. That’s crazy. I have gone back and forth with Choice many times about the issue because they need pictures of the failed item, which is an component of the water heater. I have been told 4 separate times my issues was escalated and that someone would call. They never call. I call and I'm left on hold for long periods of times and repeatedly hung up on.
I'm going into week 3 without hot water due to waiting on a part and going back and forth with Choice. It's extremely disappointing. And they had the nerve to call me yesterday about renewing my policy. Absolutely not after this. I should've known better to renew last year when the agent who was renewing my policy mentioned a 3 year deal if I paid that day. I declined and he said something along the lines like "You don't have $1,200". Another agent yelled "Oh my God" while we were on the phone and I was explaining my reason for the call. Agents always refuse to transfer me to a manager when I request it. I’m just extremely disappointed with their conduct and I would advise anyone who has them to cancel it and run. So I am basically having to buy the other 2 parts the technician told Choice were needed to properly get my water heater to work and pay for additional labor.

Very nice, professional guy and really did a good job! He did lubricate all the joints, guide bar and other parts that need it. Tested it for normal functioning. Replaced broken spring and adjusted all that needed to be done. He remind us of his arrival time and he came on time. Gave us the work statement after the job..

The gentleman was very professional and helpful. We would recommend him anytime to work on our AC or anyone else’s AC unit. My wife was who met with him. He explained everything to her and was able to assist us. The weather was really hot, in the 100’s and he was able to get our AC up and running. It happened on weekend and gave complaint on Sunday and by Monday morning technician was there to fix the issue. He verified and got approval immediately to fix the issue.

When my technician didn't show up, within a 4 hour window on a workday, you still wouldn't allow me the option to contact a technician that I know, trust, and would show up when he said he would. How does is this putting your clients first? It isn't. This was already after waiting for over a week for someone to show up anyway, thank God isn't was very hot during the week+ our AC didn't work!

I live in rural area with limited appliance repair services. Choice was prompt, having a Sears technician dispatched within a few days. On service day problem diagnosed part ordered. Part was received and installed within a weeks time. The Sears technician was courteous, professional and very engaging. I recommend this service.

Eventually, we hired our own technician and Choice would not work with him. Eventually, they did but will many hours of his time trying to resolve our issue. The total length of time to achieve this repair was 2 weeks. In the meantime, we have water damage in our mechanical room all due to Choice's failure to handle the claim properly. We were told by Choice that we would have to pay out-of-pocket and then get reimbursed for the repair. To date, we still have not received compensation.

He was late but it is construction season so some things you cannot control. He did come right in apologize and went right to work. He resolved my issue and answered all my questions. A year ago a Choice Home Warranty technician came to my home to check out my air conditioner/heater which had been seen by another company's tech, who told me the ?cooling coil? in the AC needed replacement. The Choice Home Warranty tech that was sent to my home, said I would need a new unit in a year. The unit cooled the house for another month, before the weather changed. When the high heat and humidity came this year, the unit did not cool the house at all, and I have waited more than 24 hours to hear back from CHW. This should have been replaced last year.

I have been a customer for 7 years with Choice and have had several calls for very minor repairs which I have been very satisfied about. I contacted Choice for service on my Central A/C system in my home. This time it needed replacing but they didn't send anyone out for a couple days until my contract expired. This required me to renew at whatever cost they quoted to get service. After service said it needed replacing they then refused to replace it. When I went online to see the cost of a contract, I found they charged me over $2000 for a contract that is being offered for less than $900 to others! Sounds very suspicious to me.
First renew at twice the normal price of a contract. Second refuse payment on a system that has been covered for over 7 years but now is not covered because of an exception. The unit is about 10 years old and gets service every year. Not a happy customer. By the way, I got a new contract with another company for $399 for the year + 2 free months! Shop around folks.

Great for many years until I talked to customer service today. A/C went out. Tech put on parts, didn't tell me till he was done, then insisted I pay for the parts on the spot saying if he had waited for approval, it would be days maybe thru weekend. I even made him give me a receipt when he told me company would reimburse me. He charged me $80 over my service call fee. Now I can't get reimbursed because "that's not our policy!"

I was not satisfied with the replacement amount that was offered for my dishwasher which is no longer functioning properly. After setting up an appointment to speak with a representative, I found her to be very helpful and accommodating of my request. She was able to increase the replacement cost amount and I was satisfied with the results.

I specifically asked if salt water equipment for my inground pool/spa was covered and was advised yes. As soon as I paid for an annual policy I got the contract and clearly it states under exclusions that salt water generators and components are Not covered. This is extremely frustrating as I was shopping specifically for this additional coverage!

Choice Home Warranty has a D on Better Business Bureau for a reason. I purchased three home warranties for my rental properties located in Indiana on May 27, 2022 with Choice Home Warranty:
2. Contract # ** ($888)
3. Contract # ** ($528)
Contract periods: 05-27-2022 through 06-27-2023. During the course of the contracts, one of my tenants was ROBBED by a contractor hired by Choice Home Warranty (he was caught and currently in jail). Because of this, Choice Home Warranty agreed that I could choose my own contractors moving forward. When I tried to use my own contractor for an issue that arose, however, they said they could not allow me to do that.
Because of this, I decided not to renew my policies with Choice Home Warranty. I received several calls from Choice Home Warranty leading up to the expiration of my contracts (all ending on June 27, 2023). Each time I spoke to a representative I told them that I did not want to renew my home warranties and that they should cancel them. I also emailed them, and sent a message via the "Contact Us" form for them to cancel all my home warranties.
I believed that (1) speaking to several representatives and asking to cancel my home warranties, (2) emailing them, and (3) leaving a message on their contact form was sufficient, however, I see that I have three pending charges on my credit card for the renewal of my home warranties (charged on a monthly basis). I called a representative (Cherise) and she told me that they would be unable to refund me this money. While I've had an absolutely terrible experience with Choice Home Warranty, I am not looking for a refund of my full contract, just the three monthly charges for "renewing my contract" (even though I couldn't have been more clear that I did NOT want to renew).

Call on Jun 18 about AC unit and Choice Home Warranty and sent no one out. When I call about the status of my work order the representative keeps telling that I can find someone and pay them and once I send all the necessary documents they might reimburse me portion or all out of pocket expenses. It's June 26 and Choice Home Warranty will not or have not being able to find a company to come service AC unit.

I have been with Choice for over Five (5) years and had numerous Claims filed. They just recently paid on a claim for repair of my dishwasher. I see no reason to continue paying for service I do not get when needed. I will be canceling my Choice account immediately.
