I was told the call centers were in New Jersey. When I called about a claim, I got someone in the Philippines and we had a hard time understanding each other. I asked how to fill out the claim and they were no help. They had to give me a separate number to speak to somebody who could help me with a claim. On the phone for 90 minutes. Why?

Co. came to my house to assess ceiling fan, the fan needed to be replaced. The Co. sent the info to Choice requesting an authorization number to purchase new fan, Choice never responded. I logged in to check status and it said it was resolved. It took 3 calls to Choice to get the issue resolved.

Not only would you not approve my refrigerator to be fixed. Your policy is not to pay for a full replacement. When salesperson sold me the policy he implied, "If we can't fix we will replace." I was told I would be a flat service fee. He did not point out you only reimburse your cost not retail cost. So to replace same size same features cost me over 800.00 out of pocket plus service fee. Not Happy with your policy at all. Had that been explained at time of purchase I would have gone with a better company. Not to mention you must have a contract with Lowe's since you issue Lowe's E cards for all replacements. Another thing that was not disclosed.

The company was no help. I previously had an account with them, and the same problem existed. Every claim was denied. I will not renew my 11 properties with them again. I am without air conditioning, and they are no help. When I joined, I was promised that the services had improved.

My appliances have not been fixed yet. I will say that I had a very positive experience with the gentleman who evaluated what needed to be done to fix the problems. He seemed very competent when he diagnosed the problems.

The front glass on the door shattered for no apparent reason and CHW determined this was due to abuse negligent etc. The repair did not note this. CHW case agent Cathy said only mechanical parts can rereplaced. The agreement says "C. COVERAGE (COVERAGE DEPENDENT ON PLAN) "Except for Air Conditioning/Heating/Ductwork, Ceiling Fan/Exhaust Fan/Attic Fan, and Garage Door Opener, the coverage is for no more than 1 Covered Item unless additional fees are paid. Coverage under this Agreement is subject to all other terms and conditions of this Agreement including but not limited to matters listed as “Excluded” under a Covered Item below notwithstanding the word “All” in describing what is “Covered”.
CLOTHES WASHER – COVERED: All components and parts.
BUILT-IN MICROWAVE – COVERED: All components and parts." indicates all COMPONENTS."
I asked where in the agreement it says mechanical parts only and I asked Cathy to email me where in the agreement this is stated. I waited a few day and when I signed it said my case was closed.

Compressor does not work! Need ok to order and install!!! Quit working 3 days ago. 90 degree temps here. Get ok to fix seems to be a problem. If I would have called installing contractor would have been done by now!!! Installing contractor needs to have more authority to get working.

Job assigned to CT Masters LLC. Technician Alex. He communicated projected arrival time. Arrived on time. Reviewed and checked equipment. Adjusted refrigerant pressure after approval from CHW. Excessive run time corrected. I believe that this repair progressed and concluded just as it should have. Knowledgeable and professional technician. Thanks Alex.

The A/C was an easy and quick fix. I put in an online claim on a Sunday Night and it was scheduled for the following Wednesday afternoon between 3 - 8. The technician called around 1pm and wanted to know if he could go ahead and come by!! That was great...while Sunday to Wednesday sounds like a long time in the heat...When I made the claim I was afraid it would take a week or two to get a technician. I am ecstatic with the timeline.

The worst part of the process is not being able to speak to someone in the United States who speaks English. Unfortunately my AC unit stopped working properly. However, it took three days to get a service person and there was a technician window of 8 am to 5 p.m. I lost pay from work waiting for a technician. The service person was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job.

It took ten days to get a repairman here in the middle of a heatwave. Unacceptable! The repairman was great and very good at his job. He was from Sears. Also, I had not been notified of a twenty percent deductible and monthly premium increase until I needed the service.

Choice scheduled tech w/ less than 24 hrs notice while I was out of town twice. I couldn't get in touch with tech to reschedule. First provider was basically handyman service located in another state about 60+ miles. I got reschedule with appliance repair specialist, again while I was out of town. My son-in-law was able to meet him and allow service to be completed. Choice hasn't been responsive to my concerns.

I am very satisfied with the tech company that came out to diagnose and fix my AC (ACHVAC). I am not happy with the customer service provided by Choice. It took you 2 days to set up a technician to come out to diagnosis my AC unit and 2 days to make a decision to fix it vs replace. In the middle of a summer heat advisory with temps above 115 it is not the time to delay decisions on an AC system failure.

I reported this issue with my washing machine yesterday and he came the same day I reported the issue on my washing machine. He completed repair the same day. Did not have to wait for him to get parts, etc. in order to fix it. Knowledgeable. Explained well what needed repairing. Accurate diagnosis. Worked efficiently. Washing machine is working well after his repair.

I pay a monthly premium to Choice Home Warranty. I made a claim to fix my lid on my washing machine that is three years old. The Sears technician looked at Lid. We live in a Retirement Community, just my wife and me. The Sears technician talked to Choice Home Warranty. Choice Home Warranty said due to neglect and abuse that the Lid will not be covered. They said look at Clause 5. My wife and I use the washing machine 2 to 3 times a week. REALLY, NEGLECT AND ABUSE. I guess that Clause 5 is an out for Choice Home Warranty. Buyer Beware.

I have been debating Home Warranty options and believe your company fills my needs. Your Representative, Jamal Key, was instrumental in my decision to accept this Protection Plan. He explained all options very well. I am happy with my experience. I was amazed with the many services covered under this plan. The technician was great--knew what he was doing and priced fairly. The problem is Choice Home Warranty. We've needed repairs done on our furnace and our air conditioner at separate times. Both times Choice Warranty turned down-declined - the repair which had to be done to keep the unit working! What good is their warranty! I am cancelling them!

Boris with “Not One Drop” Plumbing did an excellent job responding to my home on time and completing the task at hand! I was very pleased that he went to get the part and came back within an hour. My plumbing part was not standard. I was very happy to have gotten my plumbing job completed within a short period after f time. Boris was very pleasant and amicable technician.

Choice got back to us quicker than any other plumber. We had to push off the date they came and they were accommodating and worked with us. When they came, they diagnosed the problem and took care of it quickly. The provider they sent to do the AC work was great.

The Heating and air repair went very well. On my end, I had scheduling issues and the repair guy work very well to accommodate my schedule. He was in and out within a short period of time. Our system was up and running, we were cool in a very short time.

When I first filed a claim I was told it would 48hrs to have an appointment. I called several times during a 7 day period when finally receiving an appointment. I got an email 1 1/2 hours before the technician would be arriving. The technician was fantastic. He wanted to permanently fix the problem. Keeping in mind my home is over 30 yrs old. Things change throughout the years. Unfortunately CHOICE denied my claim. No. I will NEVER recommend Choice as a home warranty company and after this experience. I will find another company to do business with.

My fridge was broken. Called and had to wait a week before a repairman came. It took him about 1 hr to fix. My fan motor had to be change .. Working great. The serviceman steve was great and very polite.. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to anybody. Thanks for the service.

I’ve been a customer for several years. My A/C went out. Y’all sent out a technician, then y’all denied the whole claim you. I am not happy at all about this. Why not even paying for a warranty with you guys when you’re not gonna cover anything. Please cancel my warranty!

I called on Thursday. I got no response about help until Saturday and the plumber did not come out til Wednesday, turn over time was too long. I was really frustrated. But when Wednesday came it was taken care of Asap. The turnover time could have been more faster. Letting me know sooner.

The sales representative was very helpful and answered all our questions that we had. We decided to go with the complete coverage because it covered everything and more that we originally wanted. This will be our first home warranty plan that we've ever had, and most likely renew it again next year.

The service techs are not the problem. They have been on time and fine. The problem lies with your coverage. This was the second time we used your service and got very little to no resolution. We purchased a 6 year warranty for two locations and thus far it seems to have been a waste of money. Our last repair was for our stove. The repair man said it needed to be replaced because the part was no longer available. You sent us a check for $338! Who can replace a stove for that! This time was a water heater. You denied the claim and now I had to pay the service tech and still have to replace a water heater that is only about 4 years old.

Policy on home warranty explained and knowledge of payment schedule. Personnel explained in detail what is covered. Different options of payment plans. A policy was sent to my email with detail. After viewing the policy it seems agreeable to what my need is. I was told of longevity and renewal. Policy will start 1 month from today's date.

Choice will not give authorization to repair people to fix Air conditioner. We have been without air for over two weeks. We are elderly folks, and we are having a hard time surviving in this heat with no help from Choice. We have called many times and requested to have someone come out and fix this unit and we cannot get anyone to come fix it.

AC was throwing out hot air, the tech guy fixed it immediately. What I liked my appointment was between 3-8 pm. Put called and came at 1pm.was fixed in about 40 minutes. Nothing like cool air.. I'm a happy camper. Couldn't asked for faster service. OMG SO HAPPY. Would recommend CHW to friends and family.

I like the policy but Jeff was little too blunt. He kept over talking me. I had several questions and he kept giving me information on other stuff. He was knowledgeable. After reading the policy and him giving me a special I think I got a good warranty. The price was reasonable.

I filed a claim two weeks ago for my AC. It is over 100 degrees and still no AC. There is no contracted provider in my area and no one wants to accept CHW claims, but for some reason CHW will not allow me to find my own provider and file for reimbursement.

National Plumbing techs arrived 7/27/23 at 12:25 pm within 12:00 to 2:00pm appt window. Very courteous and professionally completed repair within 40 min. My only complaint is about call I missed from Ashley, 559-596-9223, 7/26 at 2:21 pm leavings a message to confirm 7/27 appt between 7 and 11 am. My phone does not ring if number is not in my contacts. I called her back at 3:39 pm, it went to voicemail and I left message I was returning call.\
No response. I called 596-9223 again 7/27 at 7:04 AM and it went to voicemail & I left message to call me again. No Response. I called Nat'l Plumbing, 559-595-4450 on email notice rec'd 7/26 at 7:55 am. Gentleman that answered told me since they didn't get ahold of me yesterday could they come out between 2 to 4 pm. "No." I have a 2:00pm dental appt. He said he would try to get someone there between 12 and 2 pm. So it worked out well in the end but frustrating when you are asked to call back a phone number that doesn't answer.

Air conditioner stopped working. Valve issue. Choice Home Warranty refused to repair. Somewhere in their contract does not cover. I am canceling immediately. This is the second time I have tried this company and both times they have refused to fix the issue that supposed to be covered. I would caution anyone to have a lawyer review the contract before using this company. They will do everything they can NOT to fix the problem. Save your money.

Person I spoke w/ was being very aggressive and pushy. Somewhat impatient. I felt as if I was being pressured to commit. I did wind up purchasing home warranty because I did not plan on renewing w/my previous home warranty. CHW also gave me a way better rate than what my previous warranty did. Going to give CHW an opportunity to gain my business for the next year, and we'll see how that goes.

We have had Choice Home Warranty on several homes throughout the past 20 years. With a couple of exceptions, we have always had EXCELLENT results with claims we have had. We had other home warranty companies before, but none of them performed their contractual obligations to the degree that Choice does. We just bought a new home and though we are not moved in, we have already purchased our Choice Home Warranty. We HIGHLY recommend Choice Home Warranty.!!

This company and technicians have been fantastic. They came as scheduled. They called the evening of the service to make sure everything was working correctly. They called again about 9 days after service and checked again. They were very clear in explaining the problem. I hope if I have any problems in the future that I can have them come out again.

My refrigerator was leaking. I called CHW, put in a claim through the automation prompts and the next day the service company was here and they are going to replace my refrigerator. The service team they assigned arrived sooner than scheduled. They were extremely professional and courteous. They quickly identified the issue and unclogged the drain. They double checked to make sure water was flowing through the sewage line like it should. I was very impressed with them and also very impressed with Choice Home Warranty and the ease of submitting and managing a claim.

Two weeks wait to get the initial visit for an air conditioner malfunctioning, especially in the summer. Two weeks with no air conditioning is unacceptable. Broken refrigerator condenser took 4 days for initial visit and 3 weeks scheduled for installation, meaning no refrigerator for a month. Unacceptable. The actual contractors who came were great, but my only complain is the length of time for service.

The tech SEARS sent to respond to our claims have been very professional and accurate in their diagnosis of the problems. The response of the company in terms of our claims have also been prompt and adequate. My claim was processed with of days of my submission and a technician came out earlier than expected because he was in the area. Garage is working perfectly, the service was professional, and CHW continued to work with my changing schedule and need to enter multiple claims as a result. Everything went without a hitch.

I’ve had problems with my ice maker. It’s been replaced twice, had parts ordered, seen at least three different technicians and it’s still not working. No one seems to know what the problem is! I’m totally frustrated, I’ve been with CHW for years, this is unacceptable. Waiting for you all to make this right.

Would only pay $191 for a $259 microwave replacement, after $75 service call. Cannot replace for $191, seems like a very small amount of money for a negative review and my business going somewhere else next year when my renewal comes due. Claims supervisor would not accept any actual pricing, only based on their formula. Ridiculous. They will lose my business next year.

Ken was my sales rep. He was very knowledgeable and explained it to me, help me save $100 a month. I was paying $175 and sold a company. They raised it. I told them I’m on a fixed income. I’m retired, my condo dues went up 290% this year, you know there’s so much money you can squeeze out.

The response time for all of the claims I place is not what I expected. I expect to be contacted within 24 hours and have a technician in my home shortly after that. That is the reason I maintain a warranty. It is too bad that this is not the case. You promise everything when trying to get people to sign up and then after doing so, you get the contract with the correct details. I feel this is a deceptive practice and it should be referred to the better business bureau.

First time called in claim. AC went out. 6 days to get a repair person. 2 emails during that time frame stating they were working on response. No phone calls. I called three times to find out who they were calling. Would give me any info on contractor lists. I did not want to go out of contract, not knowing what the response would be. Not happy with the answers from corporate regarding vendors.

The technician that came out did a great job, but had to order parts. He said, "Call Sears home service" when they came in. I called them three days ago and they said they have zero appointments available even months away. Obviously my refrigerator does not work correctly and my freezer defrosting system freezes up. I've called you guys for past two days and never can get ahold of someone. Each time you’ve called back I answer and it hangs up before I can talk to someone. Can you please call me so I can get my fridge fixed. This is the first time I’ve submitted a claim and it hasn’t been a good experience.

The service provider (Litton Enterprises) was excellent. Choice was not; Very difficult to reach anyone. Took two days to file a claim, 2+ hours on hold, kept getting hung up on in the automated system. I was even told "good luck getting Choice to pay a large claim, $300-$400 claims you're good, anything beyond that it will be denied". And that was the ultimate result.

CHOICE sent two separate technicians over the course of two months to assess A/C problem. They ignored the recommendations from both of their approved contractors and have chosen to go with the cheapest fix available that will create an even bigger issue, per the contractors. Over two months and no resolution yet. And, I am without A/C in my upstairs. The technicians were both very professional and in agreement on most of their findings.

The response time was extremely efficient especially due to the heat wave. In fact, I recommended the warranty to another family who is extremely interested in this service. My claim has been denied due to rust, how ridiculous! What do you expect from appliances that are outside all winter? I paid faithfully for a service to assist during difficult times. However, in the midst of a heat wave my air conditioning repair is being denied! Terrible service for any company and I feel like I’ve been ripped off!

Technician from Heat Heroes Danny Found the problem on my AC unit very quick. It was found that the previous Technician from Omega Air Conditioning had replaced the blower motor and didn't wire the unit correctly. This previous company was dispatched by Choice Home Warranty in January. I paid the 85.00 dollars then and now 6-7 months later had to have work done at my expense due to poor workmanship. Heat Heroes knows what they are doing and would highly recommend them to anyone else. Please advise me what CHW will do to make it good for my reimbursement from January. The credit I got for my current AC was extremely low. The technician you sent was very helpful. I was understanding when I got warranty that your company would fix the appliance. You wanted me to pay $1,500 for maintenance before technician would fix it. We had to purchase a new unit.

I was initially skeptical about using a business that had been in business for only one year. However, I needed someone to fix the leak under the kitchen sink. The technician investigated the problem, and he quickly identified the leak issue. The technician was efficient and professional. It's a relief to no longer have to deal with the issue.

I completed an online form to Choice describing my problem. J&L Plumbing responded quickly. Ronnie came out to check my system. He found a crack in one of the shutoff valves - he was very professional, polite, friendly and replaced the faulty valve quickly - cleaned up as well - did a great job! Worst Company ever and I wish I could give negative stars. I put in two claims supported by licensed technicians deeming it dangerous and hazard and they denied it every time. The Case Manager Eric claimed he was the highest level and I couldn't speak to anyone higher than him? WHAT??!! He couldn't give me a name, position, contact of anyone higher than him. I've had problems with Choice Home before. But always took care of my problems. You call customer service always had a lot of transfers but bottom line they cover what they say they cover. Only reason I gave 5 stars they're a person of their word and I call to make a claim within 24hrs my problems was resolve.

The technician was very courteous and knowledgeable, and had my new disposal put in, in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this plumbing company. They were able to even call me and get me scheduled a few days before my original schedule date. The office staff was also very courteous when they called to get my $75 service fee and emailed my receipt right to me.

Hvac person could not determine why room was hotter than rest of house, instead said he could not check it out. Have not heard if I am supposed to pay for an item that was not fixed. If I have to pay then I went with the wrong company. I think I would start a company where nothing is fixed.

Technician was very thorough and competent. He was friendly and courteous and answered all of our questions. The technician explained in detail what the problem was and how he repaired it. He checked the system for leaks and also checked the compressor for contaminants. He also repaired the condensate line to prevent clogs.

Our central air conditioner broke down and after the due process it was replaced by Choice Warranty with the same brand that we originally had. We only had to pay for the handler. Our freezer also stop freezing at the same time and another technician came to fix that. It only costed $85 for the technician to come. That's all we paid. It's good to have choice warranty.

It took over 18 hours to be assigned to a technician, even after I explained that 1) it was over 100°, and 2) I am 71 and recouping from surgery. It was over 90° in the house. That is unacceptable. When I was finally notified that a technician was assigned, the appointment was for the NEXT day, after 3pm. I called the tech directly, and he was at my house within an house. The last contractor was totally incapable of performing the job. This went from 6 July till 26 July to get the issue resolved. The reason why we are buying a new dishwasher due to a lie and bull about the dishwasher being lied as not to maintain and denied us to be repaired by you.

Had a plumbing issue. Plumbers came out. Stayed about 10 min. and left. Stayed in front yard. They left and got a letter stating I was turned down for preexisting conditions,, how did you come up with that,, It started kitchen sink. Started 4 days ago.. The bathroom sink around 17th July.... Took my money and turned me down over someone. Didn't want to do job... This is a ** company. I would NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE on here,, e-mails, phone, text even would not go with one..In newspaper anyway to get the word out. No stars.

The salesperson, Phil ** presented himself kindly. I really don’t like pushy salespeople &; I generally hang up on them. Phil was thorough with the information. Our technician, Caleb, was on time and professional. Before arriving, he called to say he was as on his way. He explained what he was going to do, and he got right to work. He went above and beyond to locate the problem with our system. The parts he needed were on the truck. When he was done, he explained all of the work he had completed, in addition to the great service from Caleb, our initial appointment was scheduled for Friday, and we were going to be out of town. I called to ask if we could have a sooner appointment, and the scheduler moved it up to Tuesday instead. We are very thankful for their willingness to meet our needs.

Our hot water heater was not working-technician came and saw the sensor was all corroded so he cleaned it up and now it’s working! The problem I had was the lack of flexibility to get a technician. You should have companies that are 24/7 (twenty four seven) for air conditioning service calls. It was over 90 degrees in the house for over 4 days. This caused medical problem for my elderly sister and we ended up in the emergency room. However Tim did a great job when he finally arrived for the appointment that was set four days later. He was fast and efficient, pleasant and Knowledgeable.

Was ecstatic to see New Links (NL) after B2U Plumbing took my deductible and failed to return. NL was quick, friendly, & professional. My only issue is that there are too many steps (5) & deductibles (2) in the claims process: 1. Tech Looks only; 2. Tech returns to cut wall/ceiling, identify issue, & take pics, 3. Tech returns to Fix issue. 4. Tech return to take pic of no leaks; 5) Tech returns to replace Drywall (additional deductible). Tech should be able to forward pics &write up via text/attach pics in app/portal the same day, insured confirms, Choice approves (the same day) work gets done. If a 2nd co has to return to drywall there should be no additional deductible.

Refrigerator was not cooling to proper temperature. Had 1st appt w/ tech who diagnosed the issue. Parts were ordered and arrived via UPS/USPS and 2nd appt had already been scheduled. Tech called early AM to confirm appt window and system text notification tech on the way... Tech arrived, parts were installed, steamed/cleaned up and voila. Fixed. Tech was knowledgeable and courteous and now fridge is working great!

I placed a claim on July 13th. They assigned Arctic Air to come in on the July 18th from 3p.m until 8 p.m. Never showed up. Then again on the next day, never showed up or called. Finally was assigned to another on July 24th. Mind you, I have been without air for 12 days. He came in and fixed the problem. A cap was loosed and that was the problem for the leak. Choice denied my claim because they said it was not a wear and tear. I had to pay almost $400 out of pocket. I will cancel my policy.

Repair done by A to Zoff, the contactor part was under warranty but I had to pay $129 for diagnostic charge and $95 labor. Asked for reimbursement from Choice but have had no reply. Really disappointed in my Choice Warranty. I have not been able to talk to a person throughout the whole ordeal. ALL TYPE Heating & Cooling even sent an email about it but received no response. Didn't know how to call anyone. Pathetic.

We are new subscribers to Choice Warranty. We left another warranty company to join Choice Warranty. Our air conditioning went out on 7/13, we reported it on 7/14 and had to wait to 7/24 to get a technician. I don't have to tell anyone how hot it's been this summer. Then I was told my appointment was between 7-11. On the day of the appointment it was moved to between 11-3. At 3:15 I called Choice Warranty and asked where the repair person was? They contacted him and by 4:15 he was at our home. Thank goodness it was an easy fix. However the long wait to get a repair date and the inconsistency with scheduling were very frustrating. I missed an entire day of work that I was not scheduled to miss. I thought it would only be a half day. I was trapped in my house so as not to miss the repair person. When he got there he was delightful, efficient, and professional. I have no complaints about Ryan, just the system.

After seeing an advertisement for Choice Home Warranty, and talking to a friend who has a home warranty policy, I decided to sign up. My husband thought it was a scam - but when we had an issue with our hot water heater, we decided to give the warranty a try. Within a short period of time, they sent out an assessment team who discussed our issue, documented with photos and filed the report with Choice Home Warranty. We had 2 central air systems die within 2 weeks and Choice covered and is replacing both compressors. They negotiated rates for the air handlers and other install costs that were very reasonable. In additon, technicians are usually dispatched very quickly and I was given the option to get my own when they couldn't. Decided to wait to avoid the hassle and worked out fine. This service is definitely worth the cost and would recommend to anyone.

I have had 2 different companies come look at this. First one said, "Oh it's a leak. I don't do those." Second one said, "I found the leak. It's in the wall. I need to get this approved." Nick from Nick Services came in and looked at the garbage disposal. Went underneath and used an Allen key to unclog as he say sediments that got stuck. It took no longer than 10 minutes. But I am still waiting for a receipt that he said he would email me. I would’ve like the garbage disposal replaced but he said everything should be working fine for the next five years.

I initially filed my claim on 07/10/2023, the first technician was dispatched to my home on 07/13/2023. After having waiting nearly 8 hours, they diagnosed the problem however never returned to complete the job. A second company/technician was dispatched to my on 07/21/2023; similarly, I waited nearly 8 hours only for the technician to give me a different diagnosis and stated that he did not have the particular parts needed to complete the repair and that he'd return on 07/22/2023 to no avail, even after repeated phone calls for a status update.
It is now 07/24/2023 late afternoon and the second contractor/technician still has not returned to complete the job. I have now paid two separate service fees and the repairs are yet to be completed. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed (to say the least)! It is beyond me, as to why Choice Home Warranty contract/hire subpar/second rate contractors, whom are unprofessional and totally unreliable. Again, my A/C is still not fixed and I'm not sure what to do at this point, considering I've had two different companies to drop the ball and never return. Can someone from Choice Home Warranty please contact me and advise the next course of action, as the extreme heat I'm currently experiencing inside of my home is unbearable. It took six days for a technician to come, and the appointment was to be between 11:00 and 3:00. The technician got to the house at 4:30. When he came, he was very professional and took care of most of the problem in 20 minutes or so. There is still an issue with the quick shut off on the back of the house, but I have not heard from anyone about that issue yet. I understand that it has been really hot, and the AC people are more than busy, so I am grateful that the AC is running now.

I signed up for the service in 2021 because I was satisfied with the free trial service that came with the purchase of my home in 2005. I agreed to pay $45 and some change per month with a $75 service fee. Since then my rate has increased twice and my service fee has gone up as well. I called to inquire why my fees had increased without my knowledge or consent. I was told I should have been checking the customer portal. Wait what! They should have notified me via email or USPS mail that my rates were increasing. On top of that, there is no way to go into your account to make changes be it to change plans, change payment methods, or cancel the service altogether.

No power in the bathroom in our condo in Denver area. Call was made to Choice Warranty. Excellent communication from the Tech assigned (LG Electric - Luke). On time for appointment. Quick to diagnose and correct issue. Adjusted the scheduled date and time easily when conflict was noted and was copied vias email on all appointment changes.

I was promised 13 months for quoted cost. Contract only gave 12. Contract cannot be reviewed beforehand. Takes 15-30 min for phone to be answered. The sales person was very pushy. I was finally able to get across what I wanted. He talked down to me as if I was not understanding taxes on items purchased. Started talking about laws governing taxes etc. Hopefully the service, if I need repairs, will be better than point of contact.

Horrible settlement. If your washer needs replaced, they will only pay $537; no matter how new or old yours is… what a joke. Tried submitting proof and comparables, but nothing. They only pay for contractor grade. Nothing else. They stall and hope you go away. Very disappointed. I guess in their world prices of things have gone down.

June 4: I submitted a claim to have my AC checked; I continued to follow-up with Choice Home Warranty with no valued information on when someone would check my AC only told my claim was in the queue and I would be contacted or I could find someone and be reimbursed which defeats the whole purpose of paying Choice $48.10 per month. July 10: I received an email that Rafco scheduled an appt for July 13 which is over 5 weeks of being uncomfortable. Rafco personnel were very kind and helpful.

It was very simple to submit my air conditioner problem for a claim. I was hoping to not have to do it online and so it let me do it completely over the phone which I liked very much. Choice Home Warranty then told me that I would receive the rest of the information shortly.

Response time was fast. I put a request in on Friday and the tech was here on Saturday. We expected to have to wait until Monday. A solution to the problem was also determined on Saturday. The only issue is that we are still waiting for the gift card to replace our refrigerator. It was in fact stated it could take up to 30 days to receive.

The reps on the phone were very professional and courteous. Calling to get AC checked out was quick and easy. Only issue was I received an email and text from the company coming out to do the work but no phone call to make sure the day they chose was convenient for me and my work schedule. Otherwise I am glad I switched to Choice Home Warranty.

I only get three stars, because of how long it actually took Choice Home to get a person to my house. However, the technician that came was wonderful went above and beyond what he needed to do. And I’m happy to have a working dishwasher again. However, in all their ads they don’t ever tell you that if you have an older appliance so only pay you a portion so I got $359 for a oven that I can’t even buy the door handle for that. Your commercial makes it look like they replace everything if they can’t fix it.

Our hot water heater was not working properly. I requested service online, and Choice paired me with Perfection Plumbing. We got off to a rough start because I needed to update my phone number in the Choice Warranty System, and the technician was almost two hours late. HOWEVER...Rick was professional, informative and efficient and got everything fixed right away. Good job!

When your sales guy sold 3 year policy to me, he said let's take AC as an example, everything is covered other than normal wear and tear and made me signup the policy without reading or sending me the policy to read before signing up. My ac is leaking. Since 2 days ac is leaking and you guys are saying this isn’t covered. Sucks!!!

I had my $1,100 one year old GE Dryer to stop drying. Your technician told me he would bring the parts out the next day. I never heard back from him & learned the claim was denied because online reviews of the GE Dryer state it is a "defective" Dryer. I called GE and they dispute your claim and said my Choice home warranty should have paid for a new dryer. I was given the number to a District Manager from my Real Estate Agent and called her about the denied claim. You finally decided to pay me for the part (only)to fix the heating element. $117 - I purchased a new dryer at my expense.
Then, a had an electrical issue last week and your technician said Choice would not pay to fix a circuit breaker issue which was causing an overload on an outlet plug So, I was out $160 for your technician to replace a receptacle for my dryer. I have had many home warranties in the past with several different companies, but have not had the bad experiences with claims being paid. I would definitely not renew my contract and have complained to my Real Estate Agent, Steve **, with Sowell Realtors for recommending the Choice warranty.

My A C unit has and is down for about two weeks. The only appointment I was told would be the 28th of July. I have small kids and pet and here it is hot, hot hot. Also I would have to pay $75. 00 just for some to come out and check not repair. I'm the homeowner of. I tell you l have water leaking and unit not working properly. Why would I need some that I had to pay to take pictures and send back to Choice Home Warranty. It's HOT and the CSR whom handles the call tries to talk so fast you can't understand what the hell they are say and when asked to speak to a supervisor you get another drawnout speech. All I want and need is for my unit to be repaired. I left 2 stars. Maybe I should have left 1 star.

Plumber assessed problem and was able to fix in less than 1 hour. The plumber communicated with me what he found, explained what it was then told me what would be needed to fix the leak. I have not had any problem since. I would recommend Choice Warranty to others.

My a/c stopped cooling early Saturday morning. I went online, filled out a claims form. A couple of hours later I received an e-mail with who was coming to repair it and the time. I was pleased on how well it went especially on a Saturday. The tech explained what the problem was and gave me the bad part.

The lady was very polite taking the claim. We received an email within 48 hrs that a service man will arrive a week after our washing machine left many stains on most of the wash. I just wish someone could come out before next Thursday. A week without a washer will be hard and if it cannot be repaired it will even be longer. Luckily I had washed the dirty clothes for the week.

Two Comments.....first the repair technician from Sears was 1st rate, polite, professional and competent. Second, it (YOU) took 6 days to get a repair person to my home to fix my AC unit...I live in southern florida it was 90 plus every day..I was obviously very uncomfortable...very disappointing with the amount of time from the time I made my claim to when it was fixed.

I phoned them and filled out online what was wrong with my refrigerator, it has been two (2) days. All my food is spoiled & ruined, and NO ONE HAS CALLED OR CAME OUT TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE REFRIGERATOR!!! I have paid into your service for more than 1 yr. And I can not even get a call back, I am getting very dissatisfied and thinking of canceling.

I needed my valve replaced in the toilet tank. I was vey pleased at the service I received. He was polite and explained everything to me. He found another problem not covered by Choice but I have different insurance to cover the expense. Choice has always been very good on their service and time to repair.

Very good customer service. They presented the plan and explained everything as a comprehensive plan. We just bought a used house with existing appliances and needed a plan to protect us against any issues that may occur with the the appliances. The premium was reasonable and affordable. I hope that I do not have to use this, but having it gives me a peace of mind.

The technician was fine but he charged $229 for “balancing the door”, which I have never heard of and it was not disclosed to me until he got here to do the work. I told him any of that should be a part of installing the spring. I have filed a complaint to Choice that this should be covered under the repair. I would not use this company again if this how they charge their customers.

I had two jets out in my bathtub that needed reinserting. The service went well. Repairman arrived on time, I explained in my words what was wrong and what I thought needed to be done to fix it. He asked some questions and proceeded to work until he finished the job. I was very pleased with the timeliness. The technician was very respectful and pleasant. I'm glad to have my jets working in my tub again.

Our AC started leaking from the attic down into one of my bedrooms. It took 6 days for someone to come out to my house. They discovered our drain pan was broken. Choice decided it wasn't normal wear and tear and denied to get it fixed. I don't know how we could have broken it when no one hardly ever goes up into the attic. Obviously the pan was somehow holding too much water and broke. Needless to say Choice was no help and we now have to pay $1200 to get it replaced on our own. Very disappointing.

The response time was good. The company that responded was great. They were on time and found the problem very quickly. The company rep, Adam was very polite and patient as I was trying to describe the problem. Choice Home Warranty was keeping us updated with email notifications which was very helpful. This is the second time we have filed a claim. Both times it was a simple process.

This is in reference to Cesar's visit, an employee of Godfather Air Conditioning. He was honest with me about the sad state of my a/c system, and explained everything in terms I could understand. He worked hard to get the drain unplugged to give my system a chance to recover. The fact that it can't is due to its age and the fact that it is overworked in San Antonio's climate, and I do not hold Cesar responsible at all.

This is our first claim. Suddenly our garbage disposal quit working, so we filled out the short form online and got an immediate response that we'd get a date/time for the plumber to come to our home to check out the disposal. Within a reasonable time, we got an email with the plumber name, number, date and time, which were good for us. He showed up within the time period and after evaluation of our disposal, replaced it with a new one, which he had with him. He installed it, tested it, then we paid him the $65, got a receipt and are happy with a working garbage disposal. The technician was friendly, competent & professional.

My AC went out. It was running but only blowing hot air. Not cooling at all. I reported it on Friday morning and the Technician was booked and came on the following Tuesday. So, the only complaint I have is that I wish we could have gotten him out sooner as we spent the weekend in 90 degree heat. But I realize there are great demands right now on HVAC Technicians with the heat as it is in GA. And the Technician who came Tuesday did a great job. He was polite, efficient and got our AC cooling again quickly.

Water heater needed replaced and you kept jerking me around saying someone would be at my home, but they never showed up. When I called you, you gave me excuses, then the last one I called about you said I refused but I told you they never showed so how could I refuse. I would not recommend you to anyone, if they ask I will tell them my story with you. It now cost me for the water heater and will also cost to repair my floors what the insurance doesn't cover. I paid you guys a lot of money to get nothing in return. It was a waste and I'll be sure that none of my family and friends fall prey to your company.

Never go with them. They are cheaters. My dishwasher was not functional and I reported a claim, they brought a service technician and had me paid the service fee for $65 and later send an email saying the repair is not covered because that's not a regular wear & tear. When I am reaching out to the service technician (from Blue Tech Mechanical Inc.) they are saying they did not report like that. So they lied. And they even do not want to refund my service fee $65. I had to pay that with no service from them. Same thing happened with my microwave before as well. They literally do not cover any repairs at all. Talking to them is a waste of time because they do not want to listen. I did a huge mistake by taking their service for 3 years. They don't want to refund my money either. I am looking forward to when I will be done with them so that I can switch to a different home warranty. I will never recommend them.

The tech was a "no nonsense" type of personality and went right to work....he did the job, as far as I can tell, so that is all that matters. I hope and pray it keeps working in this heat. He did not have a truck with name of his company or cards to give out???? Would have been nice to be able to identify him fully.

Really appreciated how Choice worked with us!! We really liked our Plumber from? Dynamic Plumbing. Very friendly and professional. Would like him to come on next Plumbing visit if needed!! Our issue was resolved professionally! We had no water supply to the kitchen sink so we had to get water from the bathroom.

Our water heater started leaking on July 6th and so we had to shut down our water. The tank was still leaking in spite of it. It is July 21 today and I just received a text today that the company received the tank and will be able to install it on the the 25th. I have been in touch with the installation company and it is not their fault. I totally believe it is your fault for not making arrangements to deliver the tank in time. Very upset.

I didn’t know if Choice Warranty covered cracked showers. When I called to submit a claim, the representative did not tell explain it was not covered. So I paid a man $85 to tell me it wasn’t covered under choice home warranty. Can you please return my $85 since this could have been saved if I was just told at the beginning of the claim submission.
