    The quality of work of the contractors that Choice sent out has been quite exceptional. Recently, a guy came in for my dishwasher. His name was Terrence and he was very pleasant and professional. He came prepared and was just on it. With Choice, I have a little more confidence knowing that my problem is going to be taken care of as soon as possible. It's a reputable company and if I even have to call in, I get professional and experienced help over the phone. The only thing is, they would send people from far away.     The monthly pricing keeps going up. But other than that, Choice has been a great service. They're very helpful to us. I've filed a claim for my washer. They had to replace it because it was gonna cost too much to fix it. Getting the check from them took a little bit of time though. I also had a few electrical issues where they sent somebody over. They recently fixed my microwave too. The process is seamless. I either go online to submit a claim or I will call, then they will send a technician out. The technician will make a determination if it's covered under the warranty or not. Overall, they've been very responsive and timely. I'm happy with the service.

    A family member referred Choice Home Warranty to me. When they made service calls, the contractors came out and serviced their appliances. It was a seamless process. I didn't have a warranty company, so I gave Choice a try. When I did a claim, they got back to me within two days. The turnaround time was good. The repairman came a day earlier than he originally planned which was cool. He called and confirmed with me. He followed up with me and told me that he ordered a part and was waiting for it to come in. When it would come in, he would call me and let me know, which he did. Then he came in and did his job. I had to follow up with him today. He took my call and listened to my concerns. Now he's in the process of trying to continue to remedy the situation. The experience has been pleasurable. The best thing is that I feel protected. I don't feel like it's a waste of money.

    We had an issue with our kitchen sink. It was on a Sunday. I called and put a claim in with Choice. A repairman was out that Wednesday to fix it. The experience was painless.     I have been 9 days in PHOENIX without AC and it still has not been resolved. Worst experience ever!!! Trying to talk to someone at Choice Warranty has been a nightmare.     First call earlier today was with Chilia (sorry if I misspelled it) and she wouldn't stop talking, talked over me, and thoroughly frustrated me. When I asked for a Supervisor, she declined by saying no one was available and continued to do it her way. Utlimately she didn't get it right and it was TWO (2) exhaust fans that stopped working.     Sal from White Wave Pools answered the call ON time!! He listened to what we have been experiencing in regards to the motors intermittently working then shutting down. He was thorough and opened the AquaLink box and tested the voltage, then tested the capacitor on the bad motor and ensured the impeller was free of debris! He asked when we last had the filters in the filter tank cleaned and I told him they were due in October as the gauge reads 18-20 Psi.     I rated the locksmith providing the rekey service highly. Do you want six day service before you are contacted? I have to rate the home warranty staff poorly, however. I put in a new online service request and received no response. After six days I telephoned them and received no response from home warranty staff but I did receive a response from a locksmith. I have not received a follow-up call or email from the home warranty staff.

    I did call the home warranty resolution service department and do now understand what costs they will charge me if and when I do cancel for poor service. The resolution department was able to respond that the request staff was not able to find a locksmith until the point at which I called six days after my online request. I hope that the leadership of Choice will be able to correct the problem. I do want to stay with Choice. I have been with two other home warranty services over the past dozen years and they had their hiccups as well. However, it is not acceptable.

    Technician arrived and showed no identification. Wasn’t wearing any type of company clothing. He said he didn’t know why he was here. I told him what has reported to the warranty company and he said okay. He investigated the situation and found that the thermostat was not set at the proper temperature. Once he completed that I told him my smoke detectors had gone bad, I hadn’t submitted a claim for them and I had purchased replacements and could I pay him to put them in. He agreed and installed and tested them. I paid him and he left.

    I’m handicapped so I couldn’t follow him around as he worked regrettably. When my Wife came in she said she old detector was left on the basement stairs along with a snipped wire connector. When I went upstairs I found pretty much the same. Parts from the old detector and a snipped wire connector laying in the hallway. I’ve never had a contractor come in that didn’t clean up the area when we work is complete. This contractor completed the job but not to the standards not only of the warranty company but their clients as well. We got up all the debris and trashed them before any pictures were taken unfortunately.

    Excellent timing in getting service for electrical issue. However, contractor was not very pleasant or courteous. He addressed the issue and resolved it. It would have been nice if he had identified himself and said the name of his company, arrived at my home in a business vehicle and not a personal vehicle. This would have indicated that this person was a professional. He should have booties on his shoes which would have proved that he cared about the keeping the house clean. He should also have showed his credentials and let the customer that he is licensed and bonded. This is all I have to say and this review is finished.

    The help was good with the company they partnered. However there was confusion. You have 30 days to cancel your policy when you start but you don’t know how the warranty company is going to operate til after the 30 days. So if it doesn’t cover your item because they determine it was before your 30 days then item isn’t covered. So being honest and letting them know when the issues started seems like the wrong thing to do if they aren’t going to cover it. On a one year contract the warranty company should honor any issue.

    4 claims in 2 months. 1 claim wasn’t approved & took 3.5weeks to get someone to tell us. The reason not approved was absurd. 1 claim was for HVAC IN JULY! We waited over a week for initial consult. 1 was electrical and still not fixed & been 2 full months! Other was repaired after 2 weeks. Summary, it takes more than 4-6 days for a claim to be assigned. Then another week minimum for appt. Terrible.

    If I could give you a - 20 I would. When I was comparing companies I went w/ this one because they told me I could pay the fee once for multiple appliances as long as they were put in on at the same time. I have an older house & things started to break. I put in for my microwave/ hvac/ ice maker. I was then told I would have to pay 75.00 for EACH item. I don't like when people LIE. I paid for the HVAC & they fixed it. I then was told they would have to order a part for my ice maker. Then I was told it was not covered because the co said that the tech said that the damage was too much that it could not have broken like it was in the 14 days, which is not true. Then the tech said that the co said they don't cover ice makers, so which is it? RUN LIKE HELL. Don't waste your money.

    I found Choice to be one of the most difficult companies to work with. My refrigerator experienced a problem, everything was getting warm. I called to place a claim. It was rejected and I chose to dispute the decision. Appts were randomly canceled, I tried to contact via the phone system which could not get my number correct and random disconnects.     Disappointed in the time it took to get a service man out. You would think that considering the cost I paid for the warranty your customers would be a priority for service. The service company email said they would be out the next day, next day came received a second email stating it would be Friday. So four days to get someone out and then because of the part I needed it could have been anywhere from the next day to maybe a week.

    The unit needed a new blower motor which CHW would have paid for (not a cheap motor). Plus the cabinet had black mold that needed to be cleaned. Another $1100.00 in order to get the A/C working again and because my existing equipment was almost 12 years old and because of health concerns I ended up having a new system installed. I could go on but hopefully you get my point. I know because of the time of year A/C companies in Florida are busy but for almost $2800.00 for a home warranty this first experience using it doesn't really show me the value of having a home warranty.

The technician was very knowledgeable and timely. My washer does need to be replaced and the resolution was a Lowe’s gift card that should arrive within 30 days. That is just insane to me. I need to replace the washer now, not within 30 days. And if it’s only a gift card limiting me to one store, what am I supposed to do? It’s just really frustrating.     Choice Home Warranty is not reliable. It's been over 2 weeks to resolve my issue. First we waited almost a week and they told we need to clean the coil. They would not cover that although we change the filters so we paid for that then told we need refrigerant. They send this moron out. He was not told to fix issue by them so he left. Then almost a week later they send another company out and again we were told they won't cover the coil because it in bad shape. I wanted to cancel on the prorated price, I was told they will prorate but charge for previous calls. I have a voice recording from sales saying they will only prorate not deduct for previous calls.

    The technician, Brandon, at Total Plumbing was outstanding! There was an incorrect entry with CHW so they closed the claim while he was there, and I had to call and get a new claim number. Sam at CHW told me to call Total Plumbing and give them the new number, and Brandon said he would be back in a couple hours. He came back and completed the work, but CHW gave me all kinds of problems saying the job had not been accepted. This was Louise at CHW. I told her I did exactly as instructed by Sam just a few hours earlier and Sam told me she was calling Total Plumbing also. Sam assured me everything was fine and that she just had to put the garbage disposal under appliances and not "plumbing"! In one case, I figured out that my water heater was still under warranty and I got the manufacturer to send me replacement part so Choice agreed to have their tech install the part. In another case, their tech came to my house, cut open dry wall looking for a leak then they never returned to repair all the cuts in the wall and ceilings! Beware - if claim is older than 30 days, they Close it and you have to submit a new claim. This is a problem if your policy is getting ready to expire. Bottom line: DO NOT USE CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!!     The control panel on the microwave oven of a double oven unit began to malfunction. I reported it and CHW promptly arranged for a repairman to look at the control panel. He determined that the control panel was broken and it was determined by his superiors that the control panel could not be replaced. Then I received an email stating that CHW would pay $667 for the replacement of the oven. I replied that this was a double oven wall unit and the control panel for both ovens was located on the Microwave part of the unit. The Microwave could not be replaced alone. CHW responded by scheduling a conference call on 7/28/23to discuss the claim and the offer of payment.

    After thoroughly describing the situation of my double oven and the cost of replacing a like model it would be at least $2,300.00, Case Manager Victoria ** was adamant that the $667 was all that I would be paid. The contract copy that I have states that "CHW is responsible for installing replacement equipment of similar features, capacity and efficiency". I expect payment for a replacement of a double oven wall unit of similar capacity, efficiency, and features. The lowest unit I have found at Lowe's was $2,300. I have had continuous coverages since December 2020 so my contract does not fall into a less than 30 days of coverage and I expect to receive the full benefits of the Home Owner policy. I reject your offer of $667 made 7/28/23.
